Disclaimer

For the purposes of this tutorial, and to ensure that we are capturing as many things as possible, the default for each person, space, or item will be identified as the following:

  • Spouse1 - this person has purchased the license and/or obtained it. In the examples listed here, this person is female.
  • Spouse2 - this is the person who will be marrying the license holder. In the examples listed here, this person is male.
  • Package Type - this will always be deluxe so that we can handle the largest amount of data at once. All other packages have fewer items. Where we can, we will note the differences.
  • Wedding Hall - this will always be Kraken's Fall, but you can visit any of the Wedding Halls in the lands that are open.
  • Wedding Planner - this will always be Anne, but your wedding planner can be anyone that is associated with a wedding hall.

Note On Wedding Couples: Couples seeing to be married may be any of these combinations: female/female, female/male, male/female, male/male.

Note About Entering the Wedding Hall: It is incredibly important to remember that you can not get into a Wedding Hall until you have obtained a wedding license and had it signed by two interested parties.

Note About Meetings with the Wedding Planner: It is also important to note that meeting with the Wedding Planner only requires one Spouse and that it doesn't matter if it is Spouse 1 or Spouse 2. Both spouses can enter the wedding hall. Both spouses can handle this portion of the planning stage. It is not, however, a requirement.

Entering the Wedding Hall

In order to enter the wedding hall, you must have a signed marriage license and it must be signed by both Spouse1 and Spouse2.

If you need instructions on how to do that, please visit the first part of this tutorial: Obtaining and Using a Wedding License.

Now that you are in the wedding hall, you should ask your wedding planner how she can help you.

Conversing with the Wedding Planner

Now that you are in the wedding hall, you should ask your wedding planner how she can help you.

Anne creates a few entries in her master wedding journal and slaps the book closed as she turns away to whisper-yell to an attendant, "Tell Master Tooterra there's another one on the books and to start preparing!" She turns her attention back to you and says, "There we go. Your wedding date is now scheduled for 4/10/2022 at 9:00 PM elven!" She nods enthusiastically.

"Now that your special day is set, you need to choose the wedding area and officiant. Anne rubs her hands together briskly. Setting the Location

Every wedding hall has multiple rooms. There is the primary room where you interact with your wedding planner and there is the Viewing Room where you can look at the various Wedding Glades that are available to host your weddings. Your wedding planner tells you this when you speak with her. Important Note: No two weddings may use the same glade at the same time. There is also a buffer of one hour on both ends of a wedding to prevent any overlap.

ASK ANNE ABOUT AREA
The Wedding Planner Anne motions toward an austere corridor and says, "Venture beyond our walls, even if only for a brief moment." She folds her hands behind her back and rocks on her heels as she smiles proudly. "We have a number of locations available for you to celebrate your day, and our attendants have gone to great lengths to provide you with descriptive details of each area. Once you have decided on one of our offered wedding areas, you can ASK me ABOUT AREA {area #}, and I will look into the availability. Of course, we can only schedule the officiant if your license is signed by both parties."

[USAGE: ASK PLANNER ABOUT AREA {area #}. The materials on the bookshelf contain the {area #}.] in the viewing room down the corridor.]
  • GO CORRIDOR - this brings you to the room with all the wedding glade information
  • LOOK BOOKSHELF - lists pamphlets, leaflets, and journals that display brief views of the glades
  • READ {noun} on BOOKSHELF - gives you the name of the wedding glade
  • TAKE {noun} on BOOKSHELF - gives you a brief description of the area

Example 1
>take leaflet on bookshelf
You carefully remove a stark black leaflet from its place on the tall bookshelf and secure it atop the pedestal. You glance over all the leaflet's pages...
[Secluded Beach, Sprawling Sands]
White sands sprawl across the beach, glittering in the sunlight and darkening as the gently lapping tide dampens their edges. Tall trees and dense foliage form a verdant backdrop to an awning-covered dance floor, while surrounding large flat rocks provide natural, if rustic, seating to visitors. At the edges of the awning, a multi-tiered cake stand and a small table provide refreshments and delectable treats.
[Secluded Beach, Cliff Overhang]
Sparkling in the sunlight, pearlescent seashells and glittering sand line a sprawling pathway that descends to the picturesque beach below. Colorful orchid primrose tower above their shorter bumble bee cousins as they lounge along the edge of a man-made overhang that provides a majestic view of the sun-dappled deep blue ocean. Resting at the center of the overhang is carved boulder worn smooth and reshaped to create an altar.
[Secluded Beach, Tidal Pools]
Ascending sharply to the overhang above, a steep path of gravel and imbedded stones spills into a small area surrounded by high cliffs on three sides and lapping water on the fourth. Large boulders scattered throughout the area stay dry, their smooth faces providing sitting space and offering a view of the various tidal pools whose waters are refreshed by the lapping tide.
[Secluded Beach, Small Cove]
Sparkling white sands sprawl from the thick foliage at their back towards a stretch of coastline edged in crystal clear waters dappled in sea froth. Rocky cliffs pierce the tree line, the path leading up to the secluded spot at its peak is dappled with crushed seashells and glitter sand. A tangle of magenta-tipped, gradient purple honeywort grows in verdant profusion along the westernmost section of the beach.
Once finished, you return the stark black leaflet to its proper place on the bookshelf.

Example 2
>tak pamphlet
You carefully remove a silver ring-bound pamphlet from its place on the tall bookshelf and secure it atop the pedestal. You glance over all the pamphlet's pages...
[Isle of Ornath, Willow's Close]
Swelling like chaotic currents against ordained obstacles, black granite paths swirl through a lush blanket of manicured velvety grass. They swoop around charming vignettes with rings of cylindrical planters surrounding intimate seating, staggered about the lawn until they coalesce around an ivory marble-bordered koi pond and the ancient weeping willow at its heart. A different path, this one straight and mist grey, moves away from the water up a gentle slope towards an alabaster rotunda with a stained glass roof.
[Isle of Ornath, Willow's Crown]
An unbroken circle of low white silk divans line the alabaster balustrade that embraces the space in a ring of safety. Five columns, identical to the ones below in all ways but their scale, lift the stained glass dome at the center of the cupola. Daylight pours through its thousand panes of glass and casts a kaleidoscope of color over a round marble table. Hidden in the shadow of one of the columns, a spiraled staircase guarded by a scrollwork railing descends through a hole in the floor.
[Isle of Ornath, Willow's Ring]
Five fluted columns stand watch around the conjoined eahnor, faenor, glaes, veniom, and vaalin rings that inlay the golden parquet floor. Sunlight spills in between them and, reflecting off a burnished copper ceiling stamped with a pattern of overlapping circles, casts the rotunda in a warm glow. Off to one side, a collection of chairs with silk cushions and overstuffed velvet sofas form a few variously sized clusters at the base of a spiraled scrollwork staircase that ascends to a stained glass cupola.
[Isle of Ornath, Willow's Grace]
The veil of silvery sage shrouding this private island spills from the ancient white willow's canopy like tears, each leaf responsible for a ring of ripples where it kisses the water. Not much light filters through the thick foliage and the little that does is constantly shifting and being reflected off water, the effect akin to permanent dreamlike twilight. Penetrating the drape of leaves, a grey slate walkway stretches towards the base of the tree, its craggy trunk twisted and knotted with age, and stops before a natural woven lattice arbor.
Once finished, you return the ring-bound pamphlet to its proper place on the bookshelf.

Example 3
>tak third journal
You carefully remove a sun-bleached journal from its place on the tall bookshelf and secure it atop the pedestal. You glance over all the journal's pages...
[Tropical Beach, Walkway]
The faint roar of the surf can be heard, carried on a warm, salty breeze that stirs the tall grasses growing in the white sand dunes on either side of this sun bleached wooden walkway. The fine layer of sand covering the boards shifts and eddies in the wind, while sunlight glints off of the quartz and salt crystals contained within the grains. A small landing leads to a bamboo hut, and a glimpse of the crystal green ocean can be seen in the distance.
[Tropical Beach, Reception]
Swathes of gossamer stretch between the thick beams supporting the roof and sway in the cool salt tinged breeze. Frosted crystal globes sit atop linen covered tables, the candles within casting a muted glow over bamboo chairs with woven palm frond seats. A long serving table sits near a set of stairs which lead down a torch-lined path toward the beach. Four bamboo torches mark the corners of a slightly raised dance floor in the center. Next to a trio of wide steps that lead toward the sound of falling water is a lacquered driftwood cart.
[Tropical Beach, Waterfall]
A steady rush of water cascades over a cliff, crashing into a small pool of crystal clear water, before forming a stream and flowing off to empty into the ocean. Massive palms ring the clearing around the pond, and several flat boulders sit nearer the water's edge. A pair of torches on tall bamboo poles flank the entrance to a bamboo hut, which is surrounded by exotic foliage, abloom in a vast hue of color. A salt-tinged breeze blows in along a sandy trail strewn with palm fronds.
[Tropical Beach, Altar]
Crystal green water gently laps at the clean, white sand that stretches into the distance to the east and west. A walkway, made of multi-hued flower petals, leads toward a gossamer-strung bamboo arch. Nestled under the arch is a simple bamboo altar. Rows of bamboo chairs draped in ivory silk sit to either side of the walkway, and a sandy trail strewn with palm fronds disappears into the trees lining the beach.
Once finished, you return the sun-bleached journal to its proper place on the bookshelf.

For the purposes of this tutorial, we are going to pick Location #16:

ask anne about area 16
The Wedding Planner Anne says, "What a great choice! Our Isle of Ornath, Rings of Lumnis area is quite popular. Just one moment while I check the availability of this location."

Anne studies her master wedding journal, flipping back and forth through its pages. After a moment, she glances up from her journal and says, "Well, it looks like the Isle of Ornath, Rings of Lumnis location is available for you. If you are sure this is where you would like us to host your ceremony and reception, REPEAT YOUR COMMAND WITHIN 30 SECONDS and I will make it official! Be sure this is the area you want before you reserve it, as changing venues is not recommended."

Selecting the Officiant

Wrayth Date Selection Dialog Box

There are approximately 27 Wedding Officiants available. All of their ceremonies are listed on the wiki and easy to find. For the purposes of this tutorial, we are going to deal with only what our Wedding Planner tells us.

>ask anne about officiant
The Wedding Planner Anne says, "The officiant of your choice will lead your ceremony in accordance with his, her, or their beliefs. They aren't able to handle special requests, but rest assured that they have performed these ceremonies many times and are experts in their craft." Anne continues, "If you have already decided which one you would like to have for your wedding, you can ASK me ABOUT a specific Arkati, or you can ASK me ABOUT an alignment like LIGHT, DARK, or NEUTRAL."

If you are using Wrayth and have Dialogue Boxes set to ON, then a handy pop-up window appears that conveniently lets you set your wedding date and time.

Otherwise, you need to enter it manually. It is very important that you follow the steps outlined by the wedding planner.

To find out more information about an officiant make sure you ask the wedding planner about that specific officiant:

Wedding Officiant
Name Zaffrena
Pantheon Light
Deity Non-Affiliated
Gender Female

Zeffrena is a Wedding Officiant that performs wedding ceremonies for those that purchase a wedding package from the Simucoin Store during Rings of Lumnis, Duskruin, Rumor Woods, or Ebon Gate.
Description
You see Zeffrena the Devotee of the Light.
She appears to be Elven.
Short and pudgy, she appears advanced in years. Tight braids of steel-colored hair are wound tightly into an intricate bun atop her head. Sparkling emerald green eyes dispute the wrinkles and age spots that threaten to reveal her true age. Thin lips set in a slight smile lend a sense of joy to her round face.
She is in good shape.
She is wearing a pale cream homespun robe, a brilliant cloud opal-set gold ring, and a pair of soft golden velvet slippers.
Ceremony
Zeffrena strides forward, flanked by two attendants in cream-colored robes. One attendant places a simple wooden dais before those gathered, while the other drapes it in a white-traced coffee-colored cloth. Zeffrena steps toward the dais and raises her hands, waiting for silence.
In a soothing, soft voice that caresses the silence, Zeffrena says, "We are all here today to rejoice and bear witness to the union of GROOM and BRIDE in holy matrimony. Marriage is a covenant, ratified by mortals and glorified by the gods. Present your offerings to The Light and ask for the blessings of Liabo upon the couple."
Turning to face you, Zeffrena asks, "Do you, GROOM, take BRIDE to be your wedded companion under the law of the land and in the eyes of the gods of Liabo?"
Turning to face BRIDE, Zeffrena asks, "Do you, BRIDE, take GROOM to be your wedded companion under the law of the land and in the eyes of the gods of Liabo?"
Success
"Wonderful! A joyous day indeed," Zeffrena says warmly. "Two souls, joined as one under the light. That is how we describe marriage. The Lords of Light offer an eternity together to those joined under the grace of Liabo," she continues. "Therefore, by the powers vested in me by the law of the lands, and as a representative of The Light, I pronounce you married," she says with a radiant look. With a soft smile, she exclaims, "You may now kiss each other!" Zeffrena nods to the attendants, signaling the removal of the dais, as she says, "Congratulations. Please enjoy the refreshments prepared for you." She smiles and strides out.
Rejection
"It seems we are at an impasse," states Zeffrena emotionlessly. "I am afraid we will not be having a wedding today after all. It is wise not to mock the Lords of Light by entering into a covenant one is uncertain of. Please feel free to remain and enjoy the refreshments," she says. Zeffrena nods to the attendants, signaling the removal of the dais as she strides out.

Wedding Officiant
Name Lythena
Pantheon Neutral
Deity Gosaena
Gender Female

Lythena is a Wedding Officiant that performs wedding ceremonies for those that purchase a wedding package from the Simucoin Store during Rings of Lumnis, Duskruin, Rumor Woods, or Ebon Gate.
Description
You see Lythena the High Priestess of the Temple of Gosaena.
She appears to be a Sylvankind.
She is tall and appears to be in the meridian of life. She has pale-lashed aspen green eyes and stark snow white skin. She has long, gleaming dark silver hair with delicately woven plaiting at the temples. She has a severely pallid complexion that enhances the deep rose coloring of her thin mouth.
She is in good shape.
She is wearing a slender silver circlet set with an ivory-veined moss agate star, a sharply curved steel sickle pendant, a floor-length platinum chainsil robe with faintly belled sleeves, a twisted niveous raw silk cincture, and a pair of slim smoky grey suede poulaines.
Ceremony
Lythena's steps seem to fall silently as she reaches for BRIDE's hand, followed by yours. With a soft yet firm grip, she guides you to the front of the crowd, marked most notably by its serene silence. "Friends, family, and loved ones, we gather under Gosaena's impartial gaze to witness the coming together of GROOM and BRIDE," says Lythena.
Her voice rings out like a small bell through the still air as Lythena continues, "It is well known that to each Beginning there comes an End. It is not so well known as to when that End may be, and so it is up to each of us to make the best of every moment we have."
Lythena's face remains solemn even as her eyes soften just slightly, "To spend those moments granted to us before passing the Ebon Gate in love is one of the most serious affirmations of life. This bond is not to be taken lightly, as it is a vow to each other, and to Gosaena, to see through all times, bad and good."
Turning her own impartial gaze on you, Lythena asks, "Will you walk beside BRIDE faithfully, until one of you crosses beyond the Ebon Gate and into the waiting presence of Gosaena? Answer true, for She already knows."
Turning her impartial gaze to focus on BRIDE, Lythena repeats the question, "Will you walk beside GROOM faithfully, until one of you crosses beyond the Ebon Gate and into the waiting presence of Gosaena? Answer true, for She already knows."
Success
The serious expression on the sylvan's face breaks suddenly as she smiles, a full warm smile that does not seem uncomfortable on her otherwise grave face. Gently Lythena joins your hands with BRIDE's, curling the fingers together before stepping back.
Clasping her hands together, Lythena tilts her head upwards, eyes directed towards the sky as she begins a reverent prayer. "Gosaena, before me stand GROOM and BRIDE, beseeching your blessing upon their union. A union meant to last them until that time you call them past the Ebon Gate."
As the last of her words echoes through the air, Lythena bows her head and silence again descends upon the group. A single white feather, caught upon the wind, dances delicately through the area, circling briefly around you and BRIDE, before disappearing into the distance.
As the feather recedes from sight, Lythena lifts her head, her voice a near whisper, though easily heard through the silence, "And so it is done." Turning on her heels, she glides silently out.
Rejection
Lythena nods once, almost to herself, while gazing off into the distance. In a quiet, clear voice she says to you, "It's a wise decision to not proceed with something this grave if you do not feel you are prepared to bear the full weight of the decision." She raises her voice enough to acknowledging all present, stating, "Refreshments have been provided; the couple would still wish you to enjoy them." Turning on her heels, she glides silently out.

Wedding Officiant
Name Aurinia
Pantheon Lornon
Deity Ivas
Gender Female

Aurinia is a Wedding Officiant that performs wedding ceremonies for those that purchase a wedding package from the Simucoin Store during Rings of Lumnis, Duskruin, Rumor Woods, or Ebon Gate.
Description
You see Aurinia the Priestess of the Seductress.
She appears to be Elven.
She is young and petite. Pale honey hair flows in lustrous locks, counterbalancing her deep emerald eyes and framing her alluring face. Full, pouty lips belie the innocence of her dainty features.
She is in good shape.
Sheer, gauzy crimson silk clings to her voluptuous form, hugging every curve and revealing just enough to leave one tempted by what lies beneath.
Ceremony
Two attendants clad in sheer pale green albs enter and place an altar carved with numerous individuals in erotic poses near the front of the area. Aurinia strides forward, the seductive sway of her hips drawing all eyes as she gracefully glides to the altar.
She turns to face the assembled guests and breathily says, "Welcome one and all. We are gathered today to ask the Seductress' blessing upon the union of GROOM and BRIDE. What is love? Love is a word used to describe the carnal passions we all feel by those who do not embrace them. The goddess not only embraces such desires, but encourages their pursuit, reveling in the enlightenment of the soul through the release of bodily pleasures," Aurinia continues as she sways back and forth.
Turning to face you, Aurinia asks, "Do you, GROOM, take BRIDE to be your lawfully wedded companion, to be your partner in lust, and to be the vessel in which you fulfill your most carnal desires?"
Turning to face BRIDE, Aurinia asks, "Do you, BRIDE, take GROOM to be your lawfully wedded companion, to be your partner in lust, and to be the vessel in which you fulfill your most carnal desires?"
Success
Her bosom heaving with every exaggerated breath, Aurinia softly says, "It pleases me that you have chosen to spend a lifetime together, pursuing each other's desires, exploring each other's bodies, and endeavoring to bring pleasure to one another."
Raising her hands skyward and drawing the sheer fabric of her garments tight against her body, Aurinia intones, "Seductress, Mistress of Pleasure, our great Ivas, we ask this day that you bless the union between GROOM and BRIDE as they embark upon a lifetime of passion and pleasure in your name." As the words leave her lips, Aurinia prostrates herself before the altar.
A thin wisp of green smoke rises from the center of the altar and encircles you and BRIDE before dissipating.
"It is done," Aurinia states as she stands. "Ivas has blessed your union, and I now pronounce you married under the law and in the eyes of the goddess." Turning to face the assembled guests, Aurinia says, "Celebrate the couple in a way befitting their union." Without a word, two attendants quickly remove the altar and follow Aurinia from the area.
Rejection
Turning to face the assembled guests, Aurinia says, "There will be no union this day, as there has been a decision among the couple to follow other passions and lusts. We pass no judgment upon them, as the pursuit of passion is the truest homage to Ivas. Please remain and enjoy the refreshments. May the Seductress guide you to pleasures beyond imagination." Without a word, two attendants quickly remove the altar and follow Aurinia from the area.

Wedding Officiant
Name Flordio
Pantheon Liabo
Deity Oleani
Gender Male

Flordio is a Wedding Officiant that performs wedding ceremonies for those that purchase a wedding package from the Simucoin Store during Rings of Lumnis, Duskruin, Rumor Woods, or Ebon Gate.
Descriptiom
You see Flordio the Friar of Oleani's Glade.
He appears to be a Halfling.
He is minuscule and appears to be in his golden years. He has bright indigo blue eyes and dusky tanned skin. He has very short, glossy onyx hair cropped closely around his small ears and neckline. He has a dark, elaborately upswept mustache just below his classically straight nose.
He is in good shape.
He is wearing a broad-brimmed royal blue suede hat, some polished rose quartz and morganite prayer beads, some simple cerulean linen robes with a high rounded collar, a softened cameline satchel embossed with an unfurling golden rose, and a pair of blue-black leather boots.
Ceremony Gliding toward you with a beatific smile on his face, Flordio spends a few moments fussing with BRIDE's attire before lightly dusting off your shoulders. With a slow nod of satisfaction, he steps to the side and inclines his head, waiting for silence. "Greetings all!"
Flordio chirps happily. "With us here are GROOM and BRIDE, who wish to be joined in the divine sacrament of marriage."
Flordio folds his hands in front of him, gazing at the two of you with the sheen of tears in his eyes. He turns to a nearby acolyte, who hands him a thornless long-stemmed white rose, and inhales the fragrance before continuing.
"They ask now for the blessing of the Lady Oleani, who happily looks down upon lovers and takes them into her bosom to care for their devotion." A single tear trails down Flordio's face, and he fumbles in his robes for a handkerchief. "Today we will set another couple to the path of lasting ardor."
Flordio glides forward and kneels, placing the rose on the floor before you. He stands easily and gazes at each of you. "Love is like this rose, wild and sweet, but it must be tended if it is to grow to its full potential. Oleani is happy to bless your union, but only you can water, with love, and tend, with care, what is planted here to make sure it grows lovely and strong."
Smiling at you, Flordio asks, "Do you, GROOM, agree to tend this love, water it with kindness, and nurture its growth with faithfulness and dedication?"
Smiling at BRIDE, Flordio asks, "Do you, BRIDE, agree to tend this love, water it with kindness, and nurture its growth with faithfulness and dedication?"
Success
Tilting his head back, Flordio is briefly surrounded by a rose-hued nimbus. He throws his arms open and laughs merrily as the rose on the ground writhes in an unseen wind. He picks up the bloom and wraps it around BRIDE's and your wrists. "Oleani has blessed your love; now you must work to hold that blessing to you. Go forth now, joined, and live a felicitous and fruitful life."
Turning to regard the gathered assembly, Flordio smiles warmly. "This couple is now married by law. Help them celebrate their union and bask in the warmth of their adoration and devotion." He bows his head and subtly swipes at his cheeks with his handkerchief before stuffing it back into his robes and striding out.
Rejection
