Summary
- Pylasar arrives and briefly jokes with the crowd gathered outside Moot Hall before Sir Cryheart and the crew of Landing adventurers once more escort him back to Lake Eonak for memory exploration. Leafiara, Magister Raelee, and Ysharra probe into him being joking to distract himself, but even so he continues doing it, climbing up on Roblar's stallion alongside him.
- Chrysamber turns up the seriousness, asking if he's done; Maylan objects and says she (Chrysamber) has put him through enough, but she says he did it to himself and Pylasar agrees.
- The by-now-familiar ritual begins and the first memory is of Pylasar and Chrysamber making a deal as Pylasar saying he'll find where someone went with the island, then return and surrender. However, Chrysamber quickly cuts off that memory.
- The next memory shows Mynalari suspended from a cavern ceiling with black ribbons dangling from her pores, throbbing like veins, as Peter and Rachel watch the blood flow out of her body. Rachel places black worms at her skin, which dig in, while Peter watches, squirming.
- As this is going on, in the present day the blood marble scarab in Bernadette pops out of her and crumbles into nothing... with no immediately obvious effects.
- Back to the memory, Rachel asks for another jar, but Peter stumbles and Rachel asks if he did it on purpose. He says he'll grab more, but questions if they haven't done enough; she tells him to wait and just bleed her (Mynalari) while she (Rachel) gets more leeches. After she leaves, Peter says he'll make it quick and promises Mynalari that she'll be the last.
- In the present day, the blood marble scarab in Chaoswynd pops out of him and crumbles into nothing... again with no immediately obvious effects, though the wind blows the dust of the scarabs out over the lake's surface, leading to speculation from Rassyn and Razanetika that they're affecting the visions.
- It's on to another vision as Peter is with a pregnant Rachel, but he can't sleep. She says she's no longer dying and they were successful, but she asks if he still thinks of the paragons; Peter says "how can you not?" and admits he's haunted by the paragons' sacrifices. Rachel says she's already told him how he can forget--as Xorus and Leafi explain that she's likely speaking of Quinshon the Dissembler, who can alter memories and whose voice had been heard during the first exploration of Pylasar's memories.
- Chrysamber asks Pylasar if he's lost and tells him to find the paragon. The next memory goes to Peter weeping at two small graves as a woman's screams come from a manor behind him. Eventually there's only silence... until she gives one more broken scream and Pylasar begins digging a third grave for another stillborn.
- Next memory... Peter tells Rachel the Hall of Mages knew nothing of her late work and says she's not well, even though she says the paragons are still holding. He starts to say they must move on, but she says the Talon of Toullaire has ruined them both in two worlds--then says they have what they lost.
- She brings him to a chamber he's never seen and says he'll be happy, then brings forth three beings of patchwork skin, animal hair, and old blood. Their garbled voices cry out for Daddy, but Peter begins to withdraw as lightning sparks at his fingers. Rachel hisses at him to stop...
- Next memory, as Chrysamber again urges Pylasar on to the paragon--it's on to the time of the Turamzzyrian-Faendryl War, as humans, Faendryl, and demons clash in battle. But then Pylasar lurches from side to side and instead of the screams of humans and Faendryl, it's dwarves and orcs; Xorus raises the possibility of it being Doggoroth Keep in the 4500s. Chrysamber's compass begins to react, then the human and Faendryl screams return--then the dwarves and orcs again.
- Chrysamber's compass shakes and cracks. She says it captured both moments and she has what she needs and will know where it will take everyone by next week's end, then leaves.
- Pylasar comes back to land, shivering with his ears bleeding; Maylan offers him a blanket, but he says he deserves the cold. He says there are two paragons and he doesn't know which we'll face. Leafi asks if we could run into both, but Pylasar doesn't know and leaves to rest.

Pylasar En Route
The sky begins to fill with huge clouds, dark and grey on the bottom, pale and white atop, their puffy crowns ascending toward the heavens.
Speaking confusedly to Puptilian, Leafiara asks, "Wouldn't that need her to -not- have blocked their magic?" (for context, see Bonus Material at the end)
Balley softly says, "Oh storm coming in."
Speaking to Leafiara, Puptilian says, "I wonder if it's not blocked but redirected to her."
Ruffelin says, "Seems th' weather's turnin'."
Speaking amicably to Ruffelin, Leafiara says, "Well, good news, you're already here to see it."
Speaking to Leafiara, Puptilian says, "But it's just a guess."
Chamorr heartily says, "Better get somne deeds, burnt through a bunch las night."
Pukk recites quietly:
"Everybody join Cryheart!"
Balley softly says, "Zoso you forgot to remind me to get a coat with a hood."
Speaking fondly to Pukk, Leafiara exclaims, "Our Pukk, our hope!"
Speaking to Goblyn, Chaoswynd says, "That's a neat trick." (I think just referring to her suddenly joining Cryheart without us being aware beforehand that she was in the square)
Speaking curiously to Goblyn, Leafiara asks, "Did Mad ever give ya that kick?"
Speaking to Goblyn, Zosopage exclaims, "You smell like death!"
Relic Hunter Madmountan just arrived.
Leafiara bemusedly says, "Hey, speak of the 'mountan..."
Speaking to Leafiara, Goblyn grumbles, "He did not do this yet, no."
Speaking quietly to Goblyn, Pukk asks, "Are you here hoping to see more gore and dismembered bodies?"
Speaking to Leafiara, Goblyn says, "I do think he was maybe busy with this.. things here in the town in the last night."
Speaking amusedly to Madmountan, Leafiara says, "Ya still gotta give Goblyn that kick in the head ya offered a week ago or whenever."
Speaking to Madmountan, Rhayveign says, "Glad yer here, I'm gonna need to hide behind ya tonight."
Balley softly exclaims, "I need a cloak with a hood!"
Balley softly exclaims, "This weather is torture on my hair!"
Speaking to Goblyn, Aleid says, "It was good with a little gravy."
Speaking to Aleid, Goblyn says, "You are not liking this no more, the..."
Speaking helpfully to Balley, Leafiara says, "Maybe at the Ebon Gate festival, if your scrying was right and we're all still alive by then."
(Goblyn makes a hugging motion at Aleid.)
Aleid says, "Ohhhh."
Balley softly says, "We will see."
Speaking to Goblyn, Aleid says, "Well, you see..."
Speaking to Aleid, Goblyn exclaims, "I cannot be seeing -that-!"
Speaking quietly to Leafiara, Pukk asks, "I wonder if I can have the title of Landing Herald?"
Cruxophim recites:
"Donornuts!!"
[Crux supplies manna donuts]
Aleid says, "No, I got nothin."
Speaking approvingly to Pukk, Leafiara says, "That would be a good one for ya."
Aleid hugs Goblyn.
Cruxophim recites:
"Be ready!"
Balley softly says, "The bloody knife I saw last evening about current events was sure correct."
Aleid exclaims, "Try again!"
Goblyn hugs Aleid, who wraps her in a warm embrace.
Cryheart says, "Correction, dirt donuts."
A bolt of purple lightning streaks over Wehnimer's Landing and nears Moot Hall.
Speaking to Goblyn, Aleid says, "I got a new friend."
Speaking dismissively to Cryheart, Cruxophim reminds, "Koar made dirt, and dirt don't hurt."
Cryheart says, "Moving to Moot."
Aleid shows Goblyn her peacock blue pygmy-parrot.
Sir Cryheart's group just went east.
[Town Square, East]
Here in the center of a broad plaza near the commercial area of the bazaar stands the impressive facade of the slate-roofed Moot Hall, where the citizens of Wehnimer's Landing hold various official, religious and social functions. Facing the square are some of the town's more prosperous shops, still doing business with the many customers who still frequent the streets at night. You also see a polished bleakstone statue, a bone-framed bulletin board and a large purple wooden barrel.
Also here: Mistress Ghianna, Conquerer of Reim Ruffelin, Gypsy Scribe Balley, Chaoswynd, Stormyrain, Felita, Pukk, Sofal, Bernadette, Event Planner Leafiara, Zosopage, Berost, Tsarok, Lord Thrassus, Rhayveign, Conquerer of Reim Guarrin, Miss Goblyn, Pietra, Relic Hunter Madmountan, Lord Rassyn, Sir Cryheart, Puptilian, Arianiss, Shinann, Magister Raelee, Katiesa
Taerieln: "Purple lightning now?"
Zosopage says, "Look people there's a little purple mage in the sky."
Puptilian: "It's a wizard paying us a visit."
Palfin: "Are we going to be okay?"
Cryheart: "That is Pylasar's signature bolt."
Pietra: "Okay is relative, really."
Pukk: "He has a thing for purple."
Goblyn yells, "Aleid! You should be bringing your hare that is for making the floor clean!"
Ysharra says, "Now we know the purple is a tribute to his daughter."
Maags leans against a large purple wooden barrel.
Speaking lightly to Maags, Katiesa says, "Do not fall in."
Cruxophim: "I mean, yes. Okay is certainly a matter of perspective."
Speaking to Goblyn, Ysharra says, "She doesn't need to bring him here."
Maags says, "I leave that to Crumbs."
Speaking concernedly to Stormyrain, Cruxophim ventures, "How you faring, Captain?"
Speaking to Ysharra, Goblyn asks, "Why will she not?"
From nearby, you hear Aleid yell, "Goblyn, rumor has it that I ate it!"
Speaking to Goblyn, Ysharra says, "See. All et up."
Pukk yells, "You ate Goblyn?!"
Goblyn yells, "You did make it nice first, yes? With much... time to taste delicious after it did expire?"
From nearby, you hear Aleid yell, "Lots of gravy!"
Palfin: "I should have asked if there is going to be havoc?"
Speaking to Goblyn, Ysharra says, "I don't eat rabbits, but I hear you season them like chicken."
Speaking slowly to Pukk, Goblyn says, "She did not do this eating of me yet. I will maybe make her a heart later, though."
Madmountan says, "Guess we will just have to clean the floor with a chinchilla instead."
Maags says, "Reallies should stop discussing food."
From nearby, you hear Aleid yell, "The new one is small, but they say it tastes like cockatrice!"
Goblyn yells, "Gravy of the maggots?"
Speaking quietly to Goblyn, Pukk says, "Hearts taste good."
Chamorr heartily says, "18 deeds, almost enough fer tonight."
Leafiara: "Maybe if the witch sees fit to interfere with the memory journey tonight. So far she hasn't been stopping the previous ones."
Speaking to Goblyn, Ysharra asks, "What sort of seasoning would a Goblyn need?"
Aleid just arrived.
Madmountan says, "Or a kitten."
Aleid asks, "Oh my gosh, why are we yelling?"
Cruxophim yells, "I DON'T KNOW!"
Leafiara: "Well, a few small maggots aside, anyway."
Speaking to Goblyn, Ysharra says, "Garlic and persimmons. Pearl onions."
Pietra yells, "Because it's loud!"
Aleid pets an ebon-faced peacock blue pygmy-parrot, which nuzzles her hand softly.
Elphieya quietly pleads, "Can we stop yelling?"
Palfin: "Maggots? Leafi, that does not sound promising."
Aleid says, "She started it."
Maylan confusedly asks, "Huh?"
Speaking slowly to Aleid, Goblyn says, "I... am not sure if I like this ... bird... yet."
Leafiara: "No promises on havoc or no havoc!"
Stormyrain takes a few graceful steps backward.
Speaking to Goblyn, Aleid says, "It grows on you. Then poops on you."
Stormyrain says, "Off me, Bat." [probably leaning on her while invisible]
Mjolek says, "What the heck now, I was napping in the tree house and ya all can't shut it."
Speaking to a flea-infested striped silver kitten, Maags says, "No, he might squish yous."
Speaking to Aleid, Goblyn says, "I will like it better if it does grow and then explode on me."
Palfin: "We will see what happens. I'm staying indoors and watching out the window."
Aleid says, "Eh."
To the Lake
Pylasar just slid into the area.
Speaking to Goblyn, Ysharra asks, "...what did you just say?"
Cryheart says, "Hello Pylasar."
Cryheart asks, "Sliding on the mud?"
Speaking to Pylasar, Puptilian says, "Morning."
Speaking hurriedly to Pylasar, Leafiara greets, "Hello there!"
Speaking heartily to Pylasar, Chamorr says, "Howdy."
Speaking amusedly to Pylasar, Goblyn says, "You are funny, Pylasar."
Balley softly says, "Hi Pylasar."
Pylasar dusts himself off.
Pylasar dusts himself off.
Speaking to Pylasar, Ysharra says, "Hello, Peter."
Maags says, "He knows how to has fun."
Speaking helpfully to Pylasar, Leafiara asks, "After tonight it'll be three memory journeys down and three to go, eh?"
Pylasar exclaims, "5114 has never looked better!"
Speaking to Pylasar, Ysharra says, "Try again."
Thrassus says, "5119."
Zosopage says, "Close at least."
Leafiara lightly says, "I think he's jokin' this time. ...I hope."
Speaking boldly to Pylasar, Cruxophim states, "I come from the future. Stand back!"
Speaking deeply to Pylasar, Guarrin says, "Not that far off."
Pylasar nods to Leafiara. (I think in response to her saying he was joking, not the three down and three to go)
Balley softly says, "Oh."
Speaking curiously to Pylasar, Raelee asks, "At this point are you actually confused on the current year or is it merely for the reaction?"
Speaking to Raelee, Lylia says, "Good question."
Pylasar exclaims, "5119!"
Speaking quietly to Pylasar, Pukk says, "5114 or 5119 it's all just a matter of time."
Speaking to Raelee, Ysharra says, "I believe you have the right of it."
Pylasar says, "That's what I said."
Speaking to Pylasar, Ysharra asks, "Or what you will say. Maybe?"
Pylasar joins Cryheart's group.
Cryheart asks, "Lake?"
Leafiara approvingly says, "Gettin' right to it, I like it."
Pylasar says, "If you'd lake."
Speaking pleasedly to Cruxophim, Goblyn exclaims, "Your cheek does taste delicious!"
Pylasar nods at Cryheart.
Cryheart yells, "Heading towards the lake!"
Cryheart says, "Join soon."
Speaking to Pylasar, Ysharra says, "You're in a better mood than last we saw you. That was horrible. I hope Xorus didn't hear it."
Cryheart says, "Moving."
[travel]
Pylasar says, "Good mood? No. Seeking any means to distract myself...yes."
[travel]
Speaking agreeably to Pylasar, Leafiara says, "Yeah, I know what ya mean."
Speaking to Pylasar, Ysharra asks, "I know the routine well. Is it working?"
[travel]
Pylasar asks, "Are you going to the Frozen Lake?" [Cryheart had taken a wrong turn]
Pylasar smirks.
Speaking to Pylasar, Puptilian asks, "If you need a distraction, why did you change your name from Peter to Pylasar?"
[travel]

You are on the bank of a beautiful mountain lake that is fed by a waterfall gushing from the mountain side. There is a path which seems to actually lead up the side of the mountain. You also see a cedar chip path and a barely visible trail leading into a grove of ancient trees.

Pylasar says, "I don't recall."
Chrysamber frowns at Pylasar.
Commander Roblar rides in on a muscular chestnut stallion.
Speaking to Pylasar, Maylan says, "Distracting your mind is easy. That's what alcohol is for."
Chrysamber melodically says, "I hope this night you are prepared to recall much."
Pylasar says, "Yes yes..."
Leafiara curiously says, "I thought that was because Pylasar was the name of the 'warmmage'--"
Pylasar nods at Cryheart.
Pylasar nods.
Leafiara suddenly says, "Ah, let's just get on with it."
Pylasar nods at Chrysamber.
Pylasar says, "Her stories..."
Pylasar gazes in wonder at his surroundings.
Pylasar says, "Yes...."
Speaking thoughtfully to Chrysamber, Cruxophim inquires, "Have we had the pleasure?"
Pylasar reaches out toward a muscular chestnut stallion.
Goblyn mutters something about TimeThieves.
Goblyn disgruntledly mutters, "It is true."
Speaking to Goblyn, Maylan asks, "Time thieves. Are those like ex lovers?"
Pylasar casually climbs up on top of Roblar's stallion.
Pylasar says, "Quickly. Someone paint us. Two-man Centuar."
Xorus says, "Shame about that time book that was liberated from the Library of Biblia last year."
Roblar deeply says, "Go for a ride."
Speaking slowly to Maylan, Goblyn asks, "I do not think so. Different crimes. But maybe the same fate in the end, yes?"
Roblar deeply says, "Weee."
Leafiara says, "Lyrna's borrowing my easel right now or I would."
Roblar deeply says, "Der he go."
Speaking to Pylasar, Madmountan says, "Only if the top is horse, and the back human."
Roblar deeply says, "Oh, must av fallen off."
Pukk quietly exclaims, "Darn that Lyrna!"
Speaking to Goblyn, Maylan exclaims, "Must be!"
Roblar deeply says, "Not a guud rider."
Ysharra says, "A reverse centaur sounds a little unbalanced."
Dwi says, "Luck all."
Chrysamber melodically asks, "Are you quite finished?"
Chrysamber peers quizzically at Pylasar.
Cruxophim whispers something to Leafiara.
Pylasar says, "Yes..."
Leafiara whispers something to Cruxophim.
Pylasar nods.
Speaking annoyedly to Chrysamber, Maylan says, "Oh let the man have his fun. You've put him through enough as is."
Chrysamber indicates her ivory compass with a smile.
Chrysamber melodically asks, "Have I?"
Chrysamber peers quizzically at Maylan.
Chrysamber melodically says, "Or has he."
Pylasar says, "She's right..."
Pylasar nods at Maylan.
Pylasar says, "Thank you though."
Maylan snorts!
Speaking to a fiery-eyed nightmare steed, Goblyn exclaims, "You are also Horse!"
Pylasar takes a pair of unlaced black boots off his feet.
Madmountan says, "Let's just flood the place with horses."
Xorus removes some scorched leather reins from in his xenium-threaded backpack.
Xorus waves his leather reins through the air and a fiery-eyed nightmare steed appears by his side.
Speaking amusedly to Goblyn, Cruxophim offers, "Hop on, if you want."
Leafiara grabs some star-patterned reins from a small pocket inside of her red silk cape.
Leafiara waves her star-patterned reins through the air and an athletic golden charger appears by her side.
Gutstorm offers Goblyn a heavy quartz orb.
Madmountan removes some scorched leather reins from in his leather vest.
Goblyn accepts Gutstorm's quartz orb.
Madmountan waves his leather reins through the air and a fiery-eyed nightmare steed appears by his side.
Speaking confidently to Madmountan, Leafiara agrees, "On it."

Dwi: "Plink plink plop."
Speaking confusedly to Gutstorm, Goblyn asks, "What will I be doing with this?"
Maylan says, "I spose if we're all letting our horse friends graze tonight..."
Maylan reaches inside one of the stretched rolton wool socks hanging from her leather bandolier and grabs some tattered leather reins.
Maylan waves her leather reins through the air and a chunky apricot-hued cob appears by her side.
Cruxophim slaps a fiery-eyed nightmare steed firmly on his hindquarters.
Speaking lightly to a flea-infested striped silver kitten, Katiesa commands, "Grow!"
Speaking drunkenly to Goblyn, Gutstorm says, "Beatsh me, i got tired of carrying it."
Leifa concernedly says, "I think I might get trampled."
Chronomage Dealings
Pylasar wades into the waters of the lake, slowly moving out to where it reaches to the middle of his stomach. Chrysamber gestures, and the golden sigil on her face glows, and the matching one on Pylasar's does the same.
Speaking cheerfully to Gutstorm, Goblyn exclaims, "I will use it, then, for its magic!"
Leafiara thoughtfully says, "Well, here we go, the quieter and slower part."
Zosopage says, "Them fish are dead now."
Cruxophim slaps a fiery-eyed nightmare steed firmly on his hindquarters.
Cruxophim slaps a fiery-eyed nightmare steed firmly on his hindquarters.
Speaking lightly to Cruxophim, Leafiara says, "I guess we all have our hobbies."
Images begin to flicker along the lakes glass like surface as Pylasar looks about.
Speaking perplexedly to Cruxophim, Maylan asks, "Do you always slap horse bums?"
Speaking affably to Maylan, Cruxophim assures, "Oh yes."
Blades says, "Seems his type."
Speaking amusedly to Cruxophim, Leafiara agrees, "I bet."
Chamorr heartily asks, "We is lookin fer a pair o dice?"
Leifa reaches over and leans a hand on the saddleback foxhound's back, rubbing him gently. The saddleback foxhound looks toward her and pants in response.
Speaking to a black-toed saddleback foxhound, Leifa says, "You're big enough to ride. Imma hop on you so I don't feel so short."
Cruxophim's body, including any visible musculature, relaxes significantly. His skin then ripples violently, its appearance shifting, and sharp cracking sounds come from beneath his skin as his body transforms to alter his height and body.
The transformation seems to come to its conclusion as the cracking sounds fade away and Cruxophim's visible skin firms up around her muscles and facial features. It isn't entirely clear if this is an illusion framing her or her true form.
An aura of mischief slowly creeps into Cruxophim's mien as her lips form into a crooked smile. The smile continues to spread as it splits from ear-to-ear, rupturing her countenance into the shape of a tooth-filled lacerated grin.
>look crux
You see Cruxophim the Disciple of the Lich.
She appears to be an Aelotoi.
She is possessed of a statuesque height and has a slender, cadaverous physique shadowed by gaunt features. She appears to be youthful. She has black hollows that frame crimson-veined luminous yellow eyes and pallid black-veined ceraceous skin. She has long, windswept raven-black hair parted to the side and pinned back with a blackened crow skull ornament. She has a gaunt, almost skeletal face and a glowing red claw-shaped mark scorched into her flesh. A corsage of blackened bone apple blossoms and stygian vine fastenings is wrapped around her wrist. She has thick gobs of blood splattered across her face. She has a pair of blood red-veined deep black wings.
She has a series of fractured bone shards in her left eyebrow, a series of tiny metal spikes in her right eyebrow, a series of tiny gradated obsidian coffin nails in the ridges of both her ears, an inked rotund kobold surrounded in a green cloud on her ear, a sigil-incised bloodjewel half-ring in the middle of her nose, a small blackened bone spike in her lip, an elaborate raven tattoo on her neck, a sanguine scarab tattoo burrowing into her throat, a chaotic tree spirit tattoo on her neck, a yellow-eyed greater vruul tattoo on her neck, a series of stylized tally marks tattoo on her wrist, a bold tattooed symbol on her wrist, and jaggedly inked letters across her knuckles.
Undecipherable runes are carved into her skin, their edges emanating a dull black glow.
She is in good shape.
Her hands are covered in a thin layer of bright red blood.
She is wearing some circular black-lensed goggles thickly spattered with blood and viscera, a moon-filled black ora pendant, an enruned black ora phylactery, a billowy cloak of shadows, a circular veil iron plate, a chain-bound small eldritch coffin, a bone vest, some sleek black alloy vambraces, a dark skeleton key strung from a twisted chain, a pale vertebral bone belt threaded with leathery sinew, some sleek black stockings wound with bone-caught sinew under some knee-high strapped black boots.
The waters shift to reveal Pylasar and Chrysamber, exchanging a scroll and shaking hands, "I will go back and find him. Find where he went with the island...and return. And then I will surrender." The image in the water suddenly ripples and shifts, going blurry once again as Chrysamber stares at Pylasar.
Chrysamber melodically says, "That is quite enough."
Ysharra asks, "Is it?"
Pylasar says, "I can only cast my bread upon the sea, the wind and the waves direct it."
Pylasar shrugs.
Chrysamber glances at Pylasar.
Thrassus asks, "Find who, I have to wonder?"
Chrysamber glances at Thrassus.
Chrysamber melodically says, "It matters not."
(OOC) Dergoatean's player whispers to the group, "Okay wait which one of them was speaking?"
Chrysamber melodically says, "Focus on your mission Pylasar."
(OOC) Dergoatean's player whispers to the group, "I assume Pylasar?"
Speaking to Chrysamber, Maylan says, "I bet yer memories are a terrible bore anyhow."
(OOC) Pylasar's player whispers to the group, "Pylasar was."
Ysharra glances at Xorus.
Speaking to Ysharra, Xorus asks, "What?"
Mynalari's Completion
Pylasar nods and touches the water, causing it to ripple and begin to shift.
Speaking to Xorus, Ysharra says, "Was thinking you might know the island they're referring to, in what we just saw.."
Xorus says, "Kezmon, Erythro..."
Xorus shrugs.
Blades glances at Cruxophim.
Blades says, "Not again."
Cruxophim gives Blades a sidelong glance and curls her lips into a lascivious leer.
Speaking to Blades, Leafiara opines, "I like her better this way."
Speaking to Cruxophim, Ysharra says, "I have one of those, too."
Speaking amusedly to Blades, Goblyn whispers aloud, "It is always 'again' with him. Her. Both."
Blades asks, "At least it's consistent?"
Speaking to Cruxophim, Ysharra says, "It's just an illusion. So it seems."
Speaking surreptitiously to Ysharra, Cruxophim wonders, "Is it?"
Blades waggles his fingers mystically at Lylia. How nice.
Blades says, "Glorious mayorness."
Speaking slowly to Blades, Goblyn says, "It is not always this... 'consistent' that you do say."
(OOC) Cruxophim's player whispers to the group, "I thought you said 'glorious mayonnaise"."
(OOC) Chaoswynd's player whispers to the group, "Same, lol."
Mynalari hangs suspended from a cavern ceiling, sharp hooks wedged into her back, and countless thin black ribbons like shadowy veins dangle from pores along her bare flesh, arms, legs, torso, neck, breasts. The veins seem to throb, almost pulsing, like the lump of a mouse squirming through the belly of a serpent as it meets its final demise. Below, standing half in light, half in shadow, Peter and Rachel observe the woman as blood slowly flows out of her body.
(OOC) Blades's player whispers to the group, "There's a difference?"
Maylan says, "That looks bad."
Goldstr asks, "Huh?"
(OOC) Berkana's player whispers to the group, "I have some glorious mayonnaise waiting to incorporate some potato salad."
Leafiara says, "...already dealt with this one..."
Speaking to Goblyn, Yakushi says, "You been hanging out with Maags too much."
Leafiara grabs a flowing gown of gold brocade covered with crimson sunbursts from a small pocket inside of her red silk cape.
Pylasar begins to turn his head to look away from the water.
Chrysamber melodically says, "Reflect Peter. Reflect."
Pylasar slowly empties his lungs.
Maags says, "Not enough else she would learn a thing or four."
Speaking gently to Pylasar, Cruxophim croons, "More."
Speaking to Pylasar, Ysharra says, "Go forward. Slowly, if you can."
Speaking musingly to Ysharra, Leafiara says, "Forward to the past."
Speaking heartily to Leafiara, Chamorr says, "Then, back to da future."
Dergoatean says, "And then back to the ... erm."
Speaking to Leafiara, Ghianna asks, "Advance bravely to the rear?"
Speaking to Dergoatean, Ysharra says, "No."
Speaking to Ysharra, Dergoatean says, "I get confused."
Within the water, Rachel moves closer to Mynalari's body as the blood continues to be siphoned from her broken frame. She reaches into a jar and removes black worms, each one glistening with incarnadine rings around their bulbous forms. She places one worm at Mynalari's throat, and it makes a sucking sound as it leeches into her skin. She places a second at her abdomen, a third at her waist. Dozens more are placed and eerie, unnatural cries echo from the hanging woman as her body writhes in endless agony. Peter stands, still in light and shadow, squirming, his cheeks sunken, his eyes so, so tired.
Geijon says, "Imagine that."
Blades says, "That doesn't look sanitary."
A tiny blood marble scarab erupts out of Bernadette's arm and drops, suddenly completely inert, to the ground, then crumbles away into nothing!
... 4 points of damage!
Strike pierces upper arm!
Maylan confusedly says, "Well I spose everyone needs a good leeching now and then."
Speaking suspiciously to Bernadette, Leafiara says, "...curious."
Speaking to Bernadette, Leafiara notes, "All that and Raznel didn't actually take it back..."
Speaking to Bernadette, Ysharra asks, "Does yours do that often?"
Speaking to Goblyn, Geijon asks, "Mayhem prediction? Yes...no?"
Bernadette rubs her chin thoughtfully.
Bernadette mutters under her breath.
Speaking curiously to Geijon, Goblyn asks, "It is already this mayhem, is it not?"
Bernadette softly says, "The scarab be ..."
Stormyrain asks, "It's gone?"
Rachel looks back, unphased, "Be a dear Peter, grab the next jar please."
Bernadette softly says, "Be gone."
Maylan concernedly says, "Surely that's enough leeches."
Maylan says, "Too much will husk the patient."
Sofal asks, "Did it react to something in the memory?"
Speaking to Sofal, Lylia says, "Perhaps."
Pylasar stumbles forward as if dropping something.
Speaking quietly to Bernadette, Pukk says, "I know you will miss your little friend."
Rachel almost hisses, "Did you do that on purpose Peter?"
Speaking quietly to Bernadette, Pukk says, "He was a part of your life for a bit."
Leifa confusedly says, "I don't know why we are watching this dark horror."
Speaking to Bernadette, Dergoatean says, "Well that ended suddenly."
Pylasar asks, "I...I'm sorry. I'll grab....I'll grab more. Must we? With her? Haven't we done enough?"
Speaking to Pylasar, Ysharra asks, "Yes, and no, wasn't it?"
Speaking simply to Leifa, Cruxophim explains, "Clues as to who the next Paragon is."
Madmountan says, "I think he's just tired."
Speaking quietly to Bernadette, Pukk says, "He was always getting under your skin."
Speaking distractedly to Leifa, Raelee says, "... to learn."
Speaking to Leifa, Leafiara explains, "Well... assuming Pylasar makes it to the right memory, eventually he'll locate a different paragon and not this one that we already killed."
Bernadette softly says, "Thanks fer that."
Bernadette bows to Pylasar.
Bristenn flatly corrects, "Put to rest."
Speaking to Leafiara, Leifa says, "This is a horrid way to retrieve it."
Speaking to Bristenn, Leafiara agrees, "Fair."
Speaking softly to Leafiara, Razanetika asks, "Perhaps there is more to learn about this one....?"
Speaking to Bristenn, Ysharra says, "Indeed. She was in need of the rest in peace part."
Rachel hisses, "Wait here. Continue to bleed her. You can do that, can't you? I'll fetch more."
Speaking tentatively to Razanetika, Leafiara concedes, "...I guess..."
Speaking to Leafiara, Rassyn says, "Perhaps kept in the same place. at the same out of time moment."
Dergoatean whispers to the group, "Peter really went full henchman, didn't he..."
Tolida whispers to the group, "He loved her, so he did anything for her..."
Speaking drunkenly to Dergoatean, Gutstorm says, "Wub is blind."
Cruxophim whispers to the group, "They prefer the term minion, I believe."
Speaking quietly to Goblyn, Pukk says, "Was juicy."
Within the waters, Peter steps forward as Rachel disappears from view. Peter comes near the woman, who hangs upside down still, her eyes bloodshot and bulging, her face red, yet pale. Her body squirms almost endlessly now and she flinches as he tries to touch her face.
Pylasar says, "I will make it quick. You will be the last. I promise. This does not help you. But you will be the last."
From within the waters, Peter pulls out a jar of black red-ringed worms and uncorks the top. He looks around, notices he is still alone, and opens the jar.
Elphieya whispers to the group, "I am not sure that is love anymore. Blind submission."
Pukk quietly says, "Looks yummy."
A tiny blood marble scarab erupts out of Chaoswynd's arm and drops, suddenly completely inert, to the ground, then crumbles away into nothing!
... 20 points of damage!
Strike pierces forearm!
He is stunned!
Chaoswynd raises an eyebrow.
Chaoswynd glances down.
Chaoswynd gives a short little hum of surprise.
Speaking curiously to Chaoswynd, Leafiara notes, "And now yours too and still no obvious sign of their... use..."
Geijon whispers something to Goblyn.
Puptilian whispers to the group, "You all assume he is right of mind. Look at how she controls the goblins now. She could be controling Peter at this point."
Speaking helpfully to Chaoswynd, Cruxophim offers, "I could attempt to cut that out, if it pleases you."
Pukk whispers something to Goblyn.
Leifa whispers to the group, "That is exactly my point, thank you."
Speaking thoughtfully to Leafiara, Cruxophim speculates, "I would presume harvesting blood."
Zosopage says, "It is dead I think."
Speaking to Cruxophim, Chaoswynd says, "It's gone, so unless you're meaning a bone in my arm.... no, even if you meant that, the answer would still be no."
Leifa whispers to the group, "I fear we are witnessing more than just servitude."
Chamorr whispers to the group, "Pylasar is the last paragon."
Speaking confusedly to Cruxophim, Leafiara says, "But then they just seemed to... crumble."
Maylan picks up a strand of silver horsehair.
Ysharra whispers to the group, "Or she has leverage."
Speaking to Chaoswynd, Dergoatean exclaims, "Congrats, it's a ... scarab!"
Pukk whispers something to Balley.
Speaking to her silver horsehair, Maylan asks, "What's this?"
Speaking to Cruxophim, Leafiara explains, "As opposed to Raznel coming to take them back."
Geijon whispers to the group, "Th' First."
Speaking quietly to Balley, Pukk says, "Maybe your scarab will jump out too."
Tolida whispers to the group, "Interesting theory..."
Speaking to Maylan, Madmountan says, "You can decorate your basket with it."
Chamorr whispers to the group, "Last one we has to kill."
Zosopage whispers to the group, "First but last since it seems we are going in reverse order."
Elphieya whispers to the group, "He WAS stuck in some time loop or at least distortion. The theory has some merit."
Speaking absently to Leafiara, Cruxophim speculates, "The energy could be transmogrified and sent via sinister and less obvious channels."
The dust of the crumbled scarabs seems to linger on the ground for a moment, before seemingly stirred by the wind and scattered out across the lake's surface.
Pukk whispers something to Balley.
The waters ripple and images shift.
Lylia whispers to the group, "She is not 'controlling' him in any sense as she did the goblins, and if you cannot tell the difference between the servitude of a mind-slave and the voluntary acts of a man who has lost himself in a series of acts that he never thought he would commit, all in the name of love...well."
Speaking affably to Cruxophim, Leafiara says, "Makes as much sense as anything, in a Xorus Theory kind of way."
Rassyn says, "That looks bad."
Speaking softly to Leafiara, Razanetika says, "There's your answer...."
Lylia whispers to the group, "I have to wonder if any of you have felt at all."
Razanetika softly says, "The dust of scarabs has scattered across the lake's surface..."
Goblyn whispers something to Lylia.
Blades whispers to the group, "Know that look well eh?"
Chamorr whispers to the group, "Romeo must die."
Leifa whispers to the group, "I believe I have some experience with being controlled by evil."
Speaking bemusedly to Lylia, Cruxophim quips, "I'll leave that to the poets and the youth of our town."
Speaking to Cruxophim, Ysharra says, "I doubt that."
Tolida whispers to the group, "For all we know, it could be a bit of both."
Geijon whispers something to Guarrin.
Madmountan says, "Okay, so, since we didn't get to ride the spiders last night, if a big scarab comes out, we should ride it."
Silencing Memories
Curtains flap behind Peter as he turns from a balcony, his bare feet touching the cold tiled floor of the vast room. He moves to sit in a corner, quietly lowering himself to a chair, settling in and staring at a large bed on the other side of the room.
Speaking casually to Ysharra, Cruxophim jests, "Just seems like foreplay to me."
Razanetika softly says, "We've shifted areas..."
Leifa interestedly says, "What a large....bed."
Cruxophim gently assures, "I tease."
Gutstorm drunkenly says, "He dreaming about the shpecial timesh now."
Rassyn says, "Maybe the dust is to interupt the memories, or get at him in the water."
Geijon whispers something to Guarrin.
Razanetika softly says, "Or further attempt to block his memories."
Geijon whispers something to Pylasar.
A form stirs within the bed.
Guarrin whispers something to Geijon.
Maylan asks, "What's that?"
Ghianna says, "A form."
Maylan warns, "There's a creepy crawly in that bed!"
Goldstr asks, "Who on da bed?"
Speaking slowly to Maylan, Chaoswynd says, "It's called a bed."
Geijon whispers something to Guarrin.
(OOC) Cruxophim's player whispers to the group, "Well, SOMEONE's pitching a tent..."
Gutstorm says, "Rachel is."
(OOC) Cruxophim's player whispers to the group, "I'll see myself out."
Dwi just came marching in.
A gnomish scribe arrives, following Dwi.
Speaking to a gnomish scribe, Dwi asks, "Now..ye sure ye wanna rite stuff bout dis?"
Speaking helpfully to a gnomish scribe, Leafiara says, "Stick around and you'll see things you'd never imagine."
Speaking quietly to a gnomish scribe, Elphieya warns, "It is not for the faint of heart."
Speaking to Leafiara, Dwi says, "Lil lass said bring her here."
Speaking to a gnomish scribe, Rassyn asks, "Keeping good records?"
On the bed, a woman rolls over to her side, an ivory sheet peeling casually away as she touches the curve of her round belly. Her black hair pools out beneath her like shadows, her slate blue eyes regarding the man in the corner.
Gutstorm drunkenly says, "She pregnant."
Rachel asks, "You cannot sleep?"
Pylasar nods.
Ghianna asks, "She's gonna pop?"
Speaking thoughtfully to Pylasar, Cruxophim mouths, "Is that...?"
Speaking to a gnomish scribe, Leifa asks, "Yours then?"
Speaking to Pylasar, Ysharra says, "Your sails are unfurled."
Rachel traces a finger along her stomach, "You worry I am still dying? I am not. We were successful." She runs a hand along her stomach once more. "Is this not proof?"
Gutstorm drunkenly says, "She ish ebil."
Speaking to a gnomish scribe, Dwi says, "Oh my..I seen dis lady befer...she aint really here."
Elphieya nervously asks, "Successful?"
Cruxophim whispers something to Lylia.
Pylasar says, "Yes...I suppose."
Xorus whispers something to Lylia.
Lylia whispers something to Xorus.
Speaking to Cruxophim, Dwi says, "Sumpthins differnt bout ye."
Rachel says, "Are you not excited? There is much the Hall can offer us now. Our legacy is secured."
Speaking wryly to Dwi, Cruxophim mutters, "I lost a couple pounds."
Speaking to Dwi, Dergoatean says, "She absolutely has a new look but I can't quite place it."
Speaking drunkenly to Cruxophim, Gutstorm says, "Dwi found em."
Speaking to Cruxophim, Dwi says, "Eatin normal food will do dat."
Peter turns back to look out of the balcony.
Guarrin whispers something to Cryheart.
Speaking to a gnomish scribe, Dwi asks, "Gittin alla dis?"
Rachel speaks, her voice darker now, "You still think of them. Don't you?"
Pylasar asks, "How...how can you not?"
Berkana pets a flea-infested striped silver kitten.
Speaking to Pylasar, Ysharra says, "Of course you do."
Blades glances at Berkana.
Leifa doubles over, clutching her belly and moaning.
Rachel says, "Would you have them, over me? Their sacrifice has given you me. Given you us."
Blades says, "Quit touchin that thing, it's infested."
Gutstorm drunkenly asks, "Ish Leifa pregnant too?"
Pylasar says, "I cannot forget their faces. Or names. Or screams...."
Leifa violently shakes her head in the negative, causing several strands of manelike hair to fall free from its bindings.
Rachel says, "No? Still?"
Rachel says, "I have told you how. I have told you who you must seek should you wish it silenced."
Stillborns
The waters ripple and images shift.
Maylan asks, "Who?"
Speaking to Pylasar, Ghianna says, "Let the past die. Move forward."
Chrysamber glances at Pylasar.
Speaking to Maylan, Dergoatean says, "Cruxophim, obviously."
Chrysamber melodically says, "Are you lost Peter? Find the paragon."
Speaking to Pylasar, Ysharra says, "No. We need to see this."
Speaking to a gnomish scribe, Dwi asks, "Wot? now?"
Xorus says, "The Black Shaman will take away all pain."
Dwi says, "Someone's gotta tinkle."
Dwi just marched off to the southwest.
A gnomish scribe just went southwest.
From nearby, you hear Dwi yell, "Hurry it up!"
Lylia pointedly says, "If you must leave, then by all means, we shall tell you if you miss anything."
Speaking to Dergoatean, Maylan says, "But she's just an innocent lass."
Ysharra quietly says, "..it won't work."
Speaking to Xorus, Dergoatean says, "Black shaman. Didn't know we had one of those."
Speaking softly to Leafiara, Razanetika asks, "Is this why his mind is not balanced? Because he sought out someone to silence the names and faces?"
Pukk whispers something to Leafiara.
Speaking to Dergoatean, Leafiara explains, "Quinshon."
Speaking to Leafiara, Dergoatean exclaims, "The Dissembler!"
Leafiara whispers something to Pukk.
Dergoatean says, "Right, that makes sense."
Leifa uneasily says, "This magic...it's disorienting..."
Speaking to Dergoatean, Leafiara mutters, "Man of many names, I suppose."
A clap of thunder echoes from within the lake. Rain pours down as Peter stands at the base of a hill, his knees to the dirt, his eyes so very, very tired and swollen with pain and tears.
Speaking speculatively to Razanetika, Leafiara says, "...it's possible, yeah. I'd even say probable since we heard Quinshon's voice on the first of these memory journeys." (That is, the first with Pylasar--not the very first, which had been with Thrayzar.)
Dergoatean says, "I feel really bad for him, seeing this. But not as bad as I do for Mynalari."
Peter's eyes go to one small mound of dirt, glistening now from the downpour. He weeps, his tears mixed with the rain, as his gaze is drawn to the second. Behind him, a light glows in a window of a manor.
Speaking to Pylasar, Goldstr exclaims, "Focus Peter!"
Elphieya quietly asks, "The child?"
Speaking to Elphieya, Dergoatean says, "Maybe."
Sofal says, "I think his wife and child."
Elphieya quietly says, "Small mound. Small body."
Speaking to a gnomish scribe, Dwi says, "Dont ask me bout spellin stuff."
Speaking to a gnomish scribe, Dwi says, "Use yer best judgmint."
Behind Peter, the light flickers in the window and he hears the screams of a woman. They are labored, coming in bursts, some for long moments, some for short. Even the thunder pales in comparison to the agonized screams from the chamber beyond the balcony.
Ghianna asks, "She's gonna pop?"
Within the waters, Peter rises to his feet, straighting his shoulders, and looking back to the window of the manor.
Speaking to a gnomish scribe, Dwi says, "Ye should chronicle da life o' da kitty."
Speaking to a gnomish scribe, Dwi says, "Or da fleas onnit."
The woman's screams continue, more frequent now, almost guttural. Moments later, the woman's screaming stops. There is only silence from the chamber. The thunder still rumbles. Rain still falls to the ground. But only silence from the manor. Then the woman's scream again, this one different, broken...
Peter turns, kneeling once more beside the two mounds of dirt. He leans to the right, and digging his hands into the muddy soil, he prepares a third.
Rassyn asks, "So he is digging graves?"
Shinann says, "Yes."
Lylia explains, "Either she or he has failed to breed correctly."
Bristenn flatly states, "Stillborns, yes."
Ysharra whispers something to Goblyn.
Goldstr asks, "Who now be da third?"
Rachel's Experiments
The waters ripple and images shift.
Lylia adds, "This is, to some people, a tragedy and not a relief."
Roblar deeply says, "Da one in her belly last."
A flea-infested striped silver kitten stalks around a fuzzy inky black marmoset, eyeing it warily.
Speaking to a flea-infested striped silver kitten, Berkana says, "Get it."
Sofal asks, "So his wife... child.. and no the other child with Raznel?"
Lylia says, "Children, apparently."
Maylan says, "All three little ones."
Lylia offhandedly says, "Three mounds, three failures."
Speaking to a gnomish scribe, Dwi says, "Ye gots ink onna yer nose lass."
Dergoatean asks, "Wife and child with another woman would've come later, I think?"
Peter stands in a doorway, a navy blue robe draped around his frame. Rachel rocks in a chair inside a chamber beyond, shadows cast along her form and flickering as the flames of candles dance on a nearby stand.
Pylasar says, "The Hall knew nothing of your late work."
Rachel snaps, "...You asked them?"
Pylasar says, "I worry. You are gone for long periods of time. You are, not eating. You are not well."."
Rachel snaps, "Oh Peter...you know nothing. Do not speak to me of what I know."
Pylasar asks, "Are you...are the paragons not working anymore?"
Dwi says, "Crux aint been eatin...ne'er seen him lookin so good."
Rachel cackles.
Speaking to Dwi, Dergoatean says, "Her."
Blades says, "That's Cruxophima."
Rachel says, "They hold. Do not worry. I am whole."
Speaking to Cruxophim, Dwi says, "Keep it up feller."
Pylasar says, "We must try to..."
Rachel says, "Move on Peter? Is that what you will say?"
Speaking to Dwi, Ghianna says, "That's what she said."
Rachel says, "Move on in two worlds where the Talon has ruined us both?"
Rachel says, "We have what we lost."
Pylasar asks, "What do you mean?"
Rachel says, "Only if you are ready Peter..."
Pylasar says, "What are you speaking of?"
Rachel says, "Follow me Peter....
Roblar deeply says, "Da girl."
Speaking to Cruxophim, Dwi asks, "Ungula, still dull?"
Dergoatean exclaims, "Don't follow her!"
Speaking to Cruxophim, Dwi says, "Cause ye dont wanna sharpen it."
Speaking wryly to Dergoatean, Leafiara says, "Too late now."
Lylia says, "What is done is done. This is an immutable past."
Speaking to Leafiara, Dergoatean says, "I know, I know. Can't help it sometimes."
Speaking surreptitiously to Lylia, Cruxophim wonders, "Is it?"
Speaking heartily to a gnomish scribe, Chamorr says, "Are you takin this all down."
Lylia says, "Let us hope so."
Shadows move along the lake and soon reveal a dark stone chamber where red motes of light swirl about like crimson fireflies, bathing the entire room in an eerie sanguine glow. Rachel moves into view, Peter behind her. A dark robe hugs her form, a blue drapes to his.
Speaking to Chamorr, Dwi says, "Apparently."
Pylasar asks, "What is this place? Why have I never seen it?"
Rachel says, "The pen, Peter. We have what we have lost. You will be so happy."
Pylasar asks, "Pen?"
The sound of a metal door creaks open.
A second, then a third.
Speaking quietly to Chamorr, Dwi says, "Tho we goin to snow town bentually...so... snow...fallin inna snow...alla dat..prolley gonna haff a soggy mess by time we gits der."
Speaking wonderingly to herself, Maylan says, "This is really very creepy."
Geijon whispers something to Guarrin.
(OOC) Roblar's player whispers to the group, "Is this going to be Pet/Daughter Cemetary?"
Dwi says, "Too many land pirates about."
Fetid fumes, intermingled with the scent of rot and decay, suddenly flood the area.
Pukk sniffs.
Pukk quietly asks, "Crux?"
Pukk quietly asks, "Is that you I smell?"
Shambling out of the shadows come small abominations the size of halflings. They are deformed, with bodies of patchwork skin, some discolored, some mismatched, some with still bits of skin dangling loose, not quite finished. Eyes glow like rubies, razor-sharp teeth filling abornmally large mouths. Hair covers some of their scalps, while another has hair along its shoulder, as if crafted from more animal than human. Their fingers are extra long, ending in narrow bones. Blotches of old blood dot their pallid skin as they stumble into the light.
Cruxophim dryly observes, "Oh, lovely."
Xorus says, "The precious little darlings."
Pylasar says, "What have....."
Pukk quietly says, "If only Hapenlok was here to see the halflings."
Rassyn says, "Well having nightmares tonight now."
Leifa says, "This is..."
Blades says, "Well this just turned creepy."
Pukk quietly exclaims, "What a wasted joke!"
Rachel says, "I have made what we could not Peter...."
Chamorr heartily says, "Wow."
Speaking to Blades, Goblyn says, "It is... better now."
Speaking to Blades, Dergoatean asks, "Just?"
Pietra amusedly asks, "... just?"
Leifa disgustedly exclaims, "Abominations!"
Chamorr heartily says, "Da brady bunch."
Speaking to Leifa, Dergoatean says, "Replacement kiddos."
Ysharra says, "Well. Now we know more."
Peter steps back....
Blades says, "This is why I don't have children."
Sofal says, "The lengths people go to for children."
Maylan says, "I wonder what she made them out of."
Speaking quietly to Blades, Elphieya says, "Those are not children."
Speaking quietly to Maylan, Pukk says, "This and that."
Speaking to Maylan, Pietra says, "Dead yucky things, seems like."
Speaking to Maylan, Dergoatean says, "Could've been some bits from the original kiddos."
Speaking neutrally to Dergoatean, Cruxophim confirms, "Most likely."
Speaking to Dergoatean, Ghianna says, "Parts is parts."
Demonic, garbled voices echo from the small abominations in eerie unison, "...Daddy...."
Speaking to a gnomish scribe, Dwi exclaims, "Ye wanted to come here!"
Cruxophim warmly responds, "Yes?"
Goldstr exclaims, "Yuck!"
Speaking quietly to Leafiara, Pukk exclaims, "I knew it....kids are demonic!" (long-running joke with Pukk)
Cruxophim mildly corrects, "Mommy."
Dergoatean says, "Oh wow."
Dergoatean says, "Wooooow."
Peter steps back further, lightning sparking along his fingertips. He clenches his fists as Rachel hisses, "Don't you dare!"
Chamorr heartily says, "Good grief."
Leifa outragedly says, "Those things should not be."
Battlefields
The waters shift and ripple.
Goldstr exclaims, "Do it Peter!"
(OOC) Zosopage's player whispers to the group, "The kids of Chucky! hey a movie idea..."
Leafiara disappointedly says, "...I actually -wanted- to see how that one ended."
Pukk whispers something to Leafiara.
Maylan says, "They didn't look TOO bad."
Dergoatean says, "Honestly we have no idea, they could've been sweethearts."
Speaking curiously to Leifa, Cruxophim wonders, "What gives you the right to say that?"
Dergoatean says, "Not that I'd bet bloodscrip on it."
Leifa incredulously asks, "The right?"
Speaking gently to Leifa, Cruxophim clarifies, "Hypothetically speaking."
Chrysamber glances at Pylasar.
Dergoatean says, "Maybe seashells."
Chrysamber melodically says, "Enough Pylasar. To the paragon."
Speaking to Cruxophim, Leifa says, "I believe in the natural world and those were not....natural."
Speaking pointedly to Leifa, Cruxophim corrects, "To you, perhaps."
Speaking to a gnomish scribe, Dwi asks, "We aint stoppin fer lunch now is we?"
Pylasar looks down at the water of the lake as it ripples. Particles of dust, or crumbled bits of scarabs, still float about like specks of ash within the lake. They seem to gravitate towards Pylasar, then melt away.
Geijon whispers something to Guarrin.
Geijon whispers something to Guarrin.
Speaking tentatively to Chrysamber, Elphieya ventures, "I am not so sure he has complete control over which memories decide to surface."
Speaking quietly to Pylasar, Ysharra says, "She's right, Peter. I don't think you can handle much more of that memory, tonight."
Leifa corrects, "To me."
Speaking philosophically to Leifa, Cruxophim states, "What is natural to you is only what is familiar. What is otherwordly seems alien to you."
Leafiara comments, "I guess we turn to philosophy in lieu of actionable information... so far."
The waters ripple and shift.
[got briefly disconnected, but I'm told I didn't miss anything story-wise]
Speaking to Lylia, Ysharra says, "I know this distinction is not relevant, truly- but I do understand it. You feel...irrational, when you have offspring. Even to the point where you'd accept something unthinkable."
The screams of men and elves fill the night as the clang of metal echoes in the air.
Geijon whispers something to Guarrin.
Speaking to Ysharra, Leifa asks, "Like eating them with a nice Vornavis wine?"
Speaking to Leifa, Ysharra asks, "...no?"
Roblar deeply says, "A guud sound."
Speaking to a gnomish scribe, Dwi says, "Pack da rigamarole away...let's go."
Imperial soldiers rush a field, opposite of them stand Faendryl warriors, and the sides collide in a clash of chaos.
Xorus says, "Ah, yes."
Xorus says, "4841 was a very good year."
Blades says, "Well now this looks like fun."
Pukk whispers something to Leafiara.
Goldstr says, "We seein a war from long past."
Maylan says, "Now THIS bit is rather entertaining."
Demons move among the field, bringing balefire and death to many of the imperials as the clash continues to escalate.
Speaking to Chrysamber, Geijon says, "Can you pinpoint this tonight so we can go right at this time pocket? We need some urgency on this."
Maylan exclaims, "Whoa, demons!"
Speaking quietly to Maylan, Pukk exclaims, "Right!"
Speaking to Xorus, Dergoatean says, "Sure glad you're always here to sort these things out."
Pukk quietly says, "I feel so much satisfaction at seeing this."
Speaking diplomatically to Geijon, Leafiara says, "I think it's more up to Pylasar and he's, uh... he faces challenges in navigating these memories."
Xorus says, "It is 4842 in the spring after Gellig."
Speaking amusedly to Geijon, Goblyn notes, "Urgency is... not have as much meaning for some of this ilk..."
Imperial voices cry out, "For the Sentinel! For the Sentinel! March on! March on!" Answering the rally cry, the imperial forces flood outward, tearing into a group of Faendryl.
Speaking to Xorus, Maylan says, "If you say so, mister. I wasn't born yet for a good long while."
Speaking surprisedly to Goblyn, Leafiara hums, "Mmm, good point."
Speaking to Geijon, Goldstr says, "Da paragon may be one a da leaders in dat battle."
Pylasar suddenly lurches to the side, then to the left side, then back to the right.
Geijon nods slowly at Goblyn.
Geijon says, "Alright."
Geijon says, "I hear you."
The screams of dwarves and orcs fill the night as the clang of metal echoes in the air.
Bristenn simply remarks, "Those were events leading up to the Breaking. Small skirmishes, before imperial forces were utterly routed."
Speaking to Xorus, Maylan asks, "And what's this one?"
Thrassus says, "That's.... not supposed to be there."
The compass in Chrysamber's hand begins to shake.
Speaking quietly to Bristenn, Pukk says, "Good times....good times...."
Chrysamber glances at a lapis-inlaid ivory compass in her hand.
Chrysamber melodically says, "Interesting..."
Leafiara optimistically says, "Oh, maybe we'll be entering a war zone this time."
Lylia stiffly says, "Just so. The past is written in indelible ink."
Xorus asks, "Doggoroth Keep in the 4500s?"
The screams of men and elves fill the night as the clang of metal echoes in the air.
The waters ripple and shift.
The screams of dwarves and orcs fill the night as the clang of metal echoes in the air.
Thrassus asks, "The time stream is warping?"
Shinann asks, "Is he stuck?"
Geijon says, "Get ready for combat."
Speaking flatly to Chrysamber, Maylan says, "You broke it."
Leafiara speculatively muses, "Or the scarabs broke it."
Speaking to Xorus, Lylia murmurs, "They must have searched a great many battlefields to find suitable paragons."
Dwarven warriors stand in a phalanx before a huge stone keep as a horde of orcs rush forward, spears, scimitars, axes held high. The field is more blood than grass and smoke suffocates the heavens. The warcries of dwarf and monster fill the night.
Pylasar suddenly lurches to the side, then to the left side, then back to the right.
Pylasar suddenly lurches to the side, then to the left side, then back to the right.
The waters ripple and shift.
Geijon says, "He's lost."
The screams of men and elves fill the night as the clang of metal echoes in the air.
Imperial voices cry out, "For the Sentinel! For the Sentinel! March on! March on!" Answering the rally cry, the imperial forces flood outward, tearing into a group of Faendryl.
Speaking to Chrysamber, Shinann says, "Something is wrong."
Geijon exclaims, "Weapons ready!"
The waters ripple and shift.
Dwarven warriors stand in a phalanx before a huge stone keep as a horde of orcs rush forward, spears, scimitars, axes held high. The field is more blood than grass and smoke suffocates the heavens. The warcries of dwarf and monster fill the night.
Ysharra asks, "Or maybe the paragon was at both?"
Elphieya nervously says, "This doesn't seem good."
Speaking to Chrysamber, Maylan says, "He's....stuck."
Razanetika softly asks, "Perhaps two different paragons?"
The waters ripple and shift.
Imperial voices cry out, "For the Sentinel! For the Sentinel! March on! March on!" Answering the rally cry, the imperial forces flood outward, tearing into a group of Faendryl.
The waters ripple and shift.
Roblar deeply asks, "Shud a slap em?"
Dwarven warriors stand in a phalanx before a huge stone keep as a horde of orcs rush forward, spears, scimitars, axes held high. The field is more blood than grass and smoke suffocates the heavens. The warcries of dwarf and monster fill the night.
Speaking to Chrysamber, Shinann says, "Get him out of there."
Leafiara reminds, "We haven't seen the memories come to life here except when we were in the Reach, so we... are probably safe, anyway. Going by history."
Pylasar screams!
Leifa says, "This....is utter chaos."
Xorus says, "Most intriguing."
Dergoatean says, "Seems like we need to get him unstuck."
Speaking to Pylasar, Geijon exclaims, "Find th' 3rd paragon!"
Razanetika softly says, "An Elf and a Dwarf...."
Dergoatean asks, "Maybe a gentle bop on the head?"
Speaking to Roblar, Maylan says, "Give him a good shake."
Pukk quietly exclaims, "I mean a bunch of imps dying....I just wish I had my popcorn!"
Leafiara offers Pukk some salty popcorn.
The compass in Chrysamber's hand continues to shake then suddenly it cracks.
Pukk accepts Leafiara's salty popcorn.
Chrysamber gazes with interest at the ivory compass in her hand.
Thrassus says, "Ah, your trinket broke."
Cruxophim whispers something to Goblyn.
Chamorr heartily says, "Uhoh."
Dergoatean asks, "Xorus pointed out exactly when the scene of elves and men occurred, but what about the dwarves and orcs?"
Chrysamber melodically says, "Fascinating. It captured both."
(OOC) Rassyn's player whispers to the group, "Did you try turning him off and on again?"
(Roblar gives Pylasar a medium slap across the cheek.)
Leafiara curiously speculates, "Hmm, warped alternate histories or something."
Chrysamber melodically says, "I have what I need. I am not certain where it will take us, but we will know by next week's end."
Chrysamber nods at Pylasar.
Speaking hesitantly to Chrysamber, Cruxophim ventures, "Both what?"
Speaking deeply to himself, Guarrin mutters, "Sounds like a win."
Lady Chrysamber just went southwest.
Madmountan says, "Interesting."
Leafiara amicably says, "Sounds good to me."
Xorus says, "The late 4500s, I would think. Not long after the Wizardwaste."
Speaking to Pylasar, Ysharra asks, "Peter, can you bring yourself back?"
Maylan flatly says, "What."
Leafiara mutters, "She always runs off so quickly."
Madmountan says, "That chronomage is pretty no nonsense."
Roblar deeply says, "For mountin ma horse."
Strain
Pylasar slowly wades out of the water, his teeth chattering, his ears bleeding.
Pylasar sits down.
Maylan offers Pylasar a soft white bunny fur blanket trimmed with squirrel tail tassels.
Leafiara tentatively prompts, "Empaths? Some work for ya?"
Geijon says, "Get hm a blanket."
Speaking to Pylasar, Ysharra asks, "...Resist Elements...?"
Speaking to Roblar, Sofal asks, "How hard was that slap?"
Speaking to Pylasar, Leifa says, "What we just witnessed....I can't imagine what you've been through."
Speaking to Pylasar, Goldstr exclaims, "Ye did fine Peter!"
Pylasar glances at Goldstr.
Speaking to Maylan, Dergoatean says, "Fix him."
Roblar deeply asks, "Did he?"
Speaking quietly to Cruxophim, Pukk says, "Stop flirting so much." (Crux had cast a spell at Goblyn)
Maylan begins a careful examination of Pylasar -- she takes his pulse, checks his temperature, and checks for broken bones or any other ailments.
Speaking to Dergoatean, Maylan exclaims, "I can't fix minds!"
Pylasar tiredly says, "We will see...see where we end up..."
Speaking to Pylasar, Ysharra says, "You made mistakes. For a reason you couldn't give up on."
Speaking encouragingly to Pylasar, Leafiara says, "...halfway done. The seventh we'll just have to find on our own, of course."
Roblar deeply asks, "Who iz da next paragon?"
Speaking to Maylan, Dergoatean says, "His ears are bloddy."
Maylan offers Pylasar a soft white bunny fur blanket trimmed with squirrel tail tassels.
Speaking to Pylasar, Lylia says, "I know this is all quite taxing."
Speaking to Dergoatean, Maylan says, "That's his mind leaking out."
Speaking gently to Pylasar, Cruxophim suggests, "Rest, if you can."
Pylasar declines Maylan's offer.
Pylasar puts a pair of unlaced black boots onto his feet.
Goldstr says, "He got Lady Chrysamber wha we needs fer da next Paragon."
Pylasar says, "I deserve the cold."
Pylasar nods at Maylan.
Speaking offhandedly to Roblar, Leafiara says, "Seems like Chrysmaber will figure it out by next weekend."
Maylan scowls at Pylasar.
Helsfeld says, "Did I win."
Speaking to Pylasar, Arianiss says, "Yes, you do."
Pylasar says, "Two paragons."
Speaking to Pylasar, Ysharra says, "If you let it take you, you'll not finish your work with us."
Pylasar says, "I do not know which we will face."
Speaking surprisedly to Pylasar, Leafiara says, "...oh."
Speaking to Pylasar, Ysharra says, "And you won't fix any of this. So get a bloody blanket."
Leafiara hesitantly asks, "Is there any possibility we'll run into both at once?"
Pylasar says, "I....I don't know."
Speaking quickly to Pylasar, Cruxophim interjects, "You need a blood blanket?"
Pylasar says, "I...I need to rest. I'm sorry. I'm sorry for all of this."
Lylia says, "You know Ysharra speaks sense. You cannot falter now."
Leafiara seriously says, "So be prepared for anything, got it."
Pylasar stands up.
Speaking to Pylasar, Geijon says, "This is th' 3rd Pylasar. Did you just say 4th too? What backup plans do you have if it's draining you from continuing."
Lord Pylasar just went southwest.

Before the Memory Dive
[Town Square Central]
This is the heart of the main square of Wehnimer's Landing. The impromptu shops of the bazaar are clustered around this central gathering place, where townsfolk, travellers, and adventurers meet to talk, conspire or raise expeditions to the far-flung reaches of Elanith. At the north end, an old well, with moss-covered stones and a craggy roof, is shaded from the moonlight by a strong, robust tree. The oak is tall and straight, and it is apparent that the roots run deep. You also see some stone benches with some stuff on it and an herbal remedy donation bin.
Also here: Event Planner Leafiara, Apprentice Syphus, Lord Mjolek, Mistress Ghianna, Conquerer of Reim Avalera, Dontal, Perseffany who is sitting, Bernadette, High Lord Callinar, Razanetika, Rasson, Elphieya, Conquerer of Reim Ruffelin, Zosopage, Great Lord Gutstorm, Maags, Sir Cryheart, Gypsy Scribe Balley, Master Eledryn, Chaoswynd, Stormyrain, Blast who is sitting, Tuuaro, Pukk who is sitting, Sofal, Great Lord Demicone, Ironglor, Wyyridoir, Vinzie, Althazor, Zenerodier
Ruffelin says, "Some'un wake me up iffin th' weather starts turnin' ill."
Gutstorm yells, "Ill thank you shweetly!"
Speaking grumpily to Chaoswynd, Leafiara says, "I swear the hardest part of this war for me is the waiting for Pylasar and Chrysamber to be ready on their own timeline."
Ruffelin agrees with Leafiara.
Speaking to Leafiara, Chaoswynd says, "Not sure if you intended that or not, but I think you just made a time joke with a chronomage in it."
Speaking earnestly to Ruffelin, Leafiara says, "Seriously, I'd rather just go charging out to my death on my own time."
Speaking confusedly to Chaoswynd, Leafiara asks, "Huh?"
Speaking softly to Leafiara, Balley says, "I just wish we got all the info so we did not have to keep going back in repeatedly."
Speaking to Leafiara, Chaoswynd says, "Chrysamber, on her own timeline."
Speaking tentatively to Chaoswynd, Leafiara asks, "Err... yes?"
Balley softly says, "I do not like going into his head."
Speaking suddenly to Chaoswynd, Leafiara says, "Oh."
Gutstorm drunkenly says, "Chryshamber ish a shnob."
Speaking to Leafiara, Chaoswynd says, "Nevermind."
Balley softly says, "Do not want to see some things."
Speaking apologetically to Chaoswynd, Leafiara says, "Sorry, the nights have been long lately and I wasn't tracking with you."
Speaking to Leafiara, Chaoswynd says, "Honestly, seemed like your normal self from my perspective."
Gutstorm drunkenly says, "Looksh good."
Speaking absently to yourself, Leafiara muses, "Why does she never directly interrupt our memory journeys..."
Pietra glances at Leafiara with a concerned expression, checking for injuries.
Speaking to Pietra, Leafiara perplexedly asks, "I'm serious... if killing the paragons is such a problem for Raznel, why doesn't she attack right when we're learning who they are?"
Speaking quietly to Leafiara, Timoen says, "I've found that some people aren't very logical."
Speaking to Leafiara, Ruffelin says, "Tha's a verra intriguin' question."
Speaking thoughtfully to Leafiara, Stormyrain says, "I don't think she believes we're really a threat."
Leafiara says, "...they better not be a diversion..."
Speaking quietly to Leafiara, Timoen says, "And they do many things that go against what they really want to do in the first place."
Speaking tentatively to Stormyrain, Leafiara says, "Well, that would be a worst case scenario..."
A pale-faced coppery barn owl briefly puffs up into a ball of feathers.
Leafiara suddenly says, "Which means we should prepare for it."
Speaking quietly to Leafiara, Timoen says, "And they're really... kinda not smart."
Maags gazes fondly at a pale-faced coppery barn owl.
Maags says, "Loves when yous do that."
Timoen quietly says, "I'm glad I'm little."
Speaking to Leafiara, Stormyrain asks, "She's been avoiding folks she would likely see as a larger threat--through the Hall, for centuries. We're just a small ragged band of folks with no formal training on the magic she is using. Why would we be able to succeed when high Mages have not?"
Timoen quietly says, "I can duck all the crazies."
Speaking suspiciously to Stormyrain, Leafiara says, "I guess we'll see... it's true we only killed two paragons so far, so maybe she's not taking us as seriously as she should and it'll only get tougher."
Speaking quietly to Leafiara, Pukk says, "I hope last night teaches everybody to fire the pylons first then ask questions."
Speaking to Leafiara, Stormyrain says, "Or maybe the echoes of those deaths have not reached her yet."
Stormyrain says, "We are dealing with things outside our normal time and place."
Stormyrain asks, "Does she even know we've killed them?"
Dwi: "I think I saw a statue o' Misser Pukk once....hmmm."
Speaking passively to Stormyrain, Leafiara concedes, "That's a good point..."
Stormyrain says, "Mayhaps she had a contigency plan, where if one or two paragons ended, for whatever reason, the bulk of her power would come from those left..an equializing spell of some sort."
Speaking to Stormyrain, Ruffelin asks, "Surely she's felt th' change in 'er power source each time a paragon's been eliminated?"
Pukk: "You saw a statue of me? You sure you weren't drunk?"
Stormyrain says, "Maybe, or maybe not."
Dwi: "I aint sure..."
Chaoswynd slowly asks, "Do we even know the nature of her connection to these paragons well enough to be able to say that they are related to her source of power at all?"
Zosopage says, "If she draws power from them then yes but if they are only a new body should she need one...."
Speaking to Stormyrain, Ruffelin says, "Well, I fer 'un, would prefer she stay ignorant, iffin tha's truly th' case."
Chaoswynd says, "I was under the impression they only had bearing on her lifespan."
Speaking softly to Stormyrain, Balley asks, "What do you think the different scarabs do? Like the Blood Marble ones? What does she want from them? What does she want from me with a shadowy black one?"
Leafiara tentatively says, "I'm just concerned that we might be chasing a distraction... but the visions from the future do suggest that we have to kill these paragons, so at least there's that to go on."
Puptilian says, "The scarabs are there to collect blood...forcefully."
Speaking to Balley, Stormyrain says, "I've truly no idea. That is beyond understanding. She's molded multiple magic theories into one with those creatures."
Speaking to Leafiara, Ruffelin sayss, "Tis a valid concern, I fear."
Stormyrain says, "Before, the shadowy scarabs were given to her protoge, if memory serves me right."
The voice of Raelee says, "Nothing is beyond understanding."
Stormyrain says, "You could ask Rhayveign."
Bartilla glances at Leafiara.
Stormyrain says, "You're right, Magister. I meant beyond MY understanding."
Raelee says, "All knowledge is there for the taking. Sometimes, it simply takes time."
Pukk quietly says, "Well that guy last night collected my blood and fed it to the maggots. I am upset he killed me but I was touched that he cared for his pets so much too."
Speaking hopefully to Bartilla, Leafiara asks, "Gifts?"
Bartilla offers Leafiara a plainly wrapped package.
Stormyrain says, "Clearly, she understands it well."
Leafiara accepts Bartilla's plainly wrapped package.
Balley swoons.
Speaking appreciatively to Bartilla, Leafiara exclaims, "Thank you!"
Speaking to Leafiara, Bartilla says, "Ya have to have your candy."
Speaking tentatively to Balley, Leafiara asks, "Are you okay?"
Speaking to Balley, Leafiara adds, "I mean, relatively speaking."
Balley softly says, "Why did I get one? I am not one of her protoges? I have never met her."
Speaking heavily to Balley, Leafiara says, "Same as when she cursed me three years ago... no obvious reason at all."
Speaking to Balley, Stormyrain says, "I'm not saying you are, I could even be wrong on the type of scarab."
Speaking to Balley, Zosopage says, "She seeks strength first and foremost I would think."
Stormyrain says, "You also have to remember we are dealing with someone who is clearly not in their right mind."
Speaking quietly to Balley, Pukk says, "Maybe you're secretly a golem and you don't know it."
Speaking insistently to Balley, Leafiara says, "That vision of the future won't come to pass. I like you the way you are with none of the soulless red eye stuff."
Speaking to Balley, Eledryn says, "So do I."
Speaking to Balley, Raelee says, "A means to an end, and possibly but one step in a chain."
Balley softly asks, "DO I have a choice?"
Speaking to Stormyrain, Puptilian says, "Actually I think when it comes to magic she is very much like Pylasar. To people like us, something wrong, but to people like them very on target for their goals."
Speaking to Balley, Raelee says, "When she sealed my magic, years ago, it was about creating leverage. She did not take my magic because she needed it taken, she did it to attempt to compel me to do something for her."
Speaking to Balley, Raelee says, "She often acts in indirect ways."
Balley softly says, "I have just heard tales and seen things that have been happening currently."
Balley softly says, "I have never met her, I still do not know why I was attacked."
Speaking to Raelee, Puptilian says, "You know, we never knew why she blocked the four's magic. The more I think about it the more I wonder if she needed the magic of all parties to channel into making one of her paragons."
After the Memory Dive
Cruxophim quickly states, "I can get you a bloody blanket. I can get you a bloody blanket by sunup."
Speaking quietly to Leafiara, Elphieya asks, "Isn't that always the take away?"
Cryheart says, "Back to town."
Speaking to Geijon, Dergoatean says, "Not so sure we get the luxury of backup plans in this."
Speaking simply to Elphieya, Leafiara agrees, "...yep."
Berost deeply says, "Dwarf paragon ..."
[travel]
Speaking to Bernadette, Dergoatean asks, "Or orc?"
[trave]
[Town Square, East]
Here in the center of a broad plaza near the commercial area of the bazaar stands the impressive facade of the slate-roofed Moot Hall, where the citizens of Wehnimer's Landing hold various official, religious and social functions. Facing the square are some of the town's more prosperous shops, still doing business with the many customers who still frequent the streets at night. You also see a polished bleakstone statue, a bone-framed bulletin board and a large purple wooden barrel.
Leafiara mentions, "By the way, for any who haven't seen, the Hall's pavilions have been set up now--the sick tents near the barrier at the Foothills."
Cryheart says, "Interesting."
Speaking quietly to Leafiara, Elphieya asks, "The wagons that people have been noticing belong to them, yes?"
Speaking to Cryheart, Dwi says, "Dont mind me."
Cryheart says, "Ok."
Speaking amicably to Goblyn, Cruxophim inquires, "Shall we.... relieve some tension ourselves?"
Speaking thoughtfully to Elphieya, Leafiara says, "I... I think so."
Speaking heartily to Leafiara, Chamorr says, "Leper colony."
Speaking quietly to Leafiara, Elphieya says, "Magically protected and blocked wagons. I assumed they belongs to the Hall."
Speaking to Chamorr, Leafiara admits, "...not all that far off, no."
Speaking understandingly to Elphieya, Leafiara says, "Ahh... then yeah, that would match with the pavilions."
Goblyn yells, "Limbs for all!"
Speaking to Goblyn, Dwi asks, "How many?"
Speaking to Dwi, Goblyn says, "Too many to be counting."
Berkana asks, "No death and destruction?"
Speaking to Cruxophim, Melikor says, "This one is yours."
Blades says, "Just demon babies."
Lylia says, "They all look rather the same to me."
Speaking to Blades, Lylia says, "There is no other sort."
Speaking to Lylia, Ysharra says, "The twins looked rather unholy when they were toddlers."
Speaking to Lylia, Dwi says, "Dat's wotcha all say bout Dwarfs mayer."
Speaking to Ysharra, Lylia says, "It is a regrettable stage, before they are people."
Speaking to Lylia, Dwi says, "Lookin da same anna bein da same aint da same."
Pietra brightly says, "I'd hoped for snacks."
Leafiara offers some salty popcorn to Pietra.
Pietra accepts Leafiara's salty popcorn.
Speaking to Leafiara, Pietra exclaims, "Perfect!"
Leifa says, "That entire scene ruined my appetite."
Lylia says, "At least we know something of what had deranged Naimorai Kestrel, and Rachel, to birth Raznel."
Speaking to Leifa, Thrassus says, "Things will likely get much, much worse."
Speaking to her salty popcorn, Pietra says, "Tastes like dried crunchy lobster."
Speaking to Leifa, Dwi asks, "Wotta bout cookies?"
Ysharra says, "And possibly why she still blames us."
Speaking to Leafiara, Pietra exclaims, "So good!"
Speaking obsequiously to Xorus, Zolis asks, "A night for old wounds, indeed, eh?"
Lylia says, "It was not our doing. The Talon, perhaps. Or her natural father."
Ysharra says, "Perhaps it's possible that her body was changed during her time in the rift, as well."
Speaking to Thrassus, Leifa says, "I prefer not to remember my own past terrors, let alone relive his."
Ysharra says, "Besides. As I said. When that happens...you are not rational."
Lylia indifferently says, "Or perhaps she was simply incapable of birth for thoroughly natural reasons."
Speaking to Lylia, Leifa says, "At any rate, she clearly lost her mind in the process."
Ysharra says, "Grief is a potent motivation. Impossible to manage."
Xorus says, "Their flesh would not have held up well over the centuries."
Leifa says, "Reproducing those....things."
Raelee says, "There is not much literature on the effects of artifacts such as these on human anatomy."
Raelee adds, "... perhaps there is an opportunity there, at least."
Lylia says, "Yes. Some people become deranged over children."
Ysharra says, "...or their death."
Dwi says, "I ne'er lose my temper wit dem brats."
Dwi says, "Imma always walkin em back frem places dey shoulnt be...anna dey always out swimmin...out climbin anna out rune readin me."
Lylia says, "Yes. Grief can lead people to any means of easing the pain."
Ysharra says, "All right. I think I've exercised enough empathy for the evening. I'll need to recharge before the next memory showcase."
Speaking quietly to Pietra, Tsarok says, "Am full."
Speaking to Tsarok, Pietra says, "No? It's like dried lobster crunches."
Speaking to Ysharra, Leafiara admits, "I'm either losing touch with my emotions or I'm too focused on the battle to expend much sympathy... ah well. Either way... will worry about it if we survive this."
Falvicar appears, yawns loudly, and rubs his eyes.
Speaking to Pukk, Dwi says, "I still think I seen a statue o' ye."
Speaking wryly to Falvicar, Leafiara says, "Little late there, friend."
Speaking to Leafiara, Ysharra says, "The survival I'm not so concerned on."
Bristenn laconically remarks, "I believe the time for sympathy is long passed."
Pukk quietly says, "You were probably drunk again."
Lylia says, "Yes."
Speaking seriously to Ysharra, Leafiara agrees, "Me neither."
Speaking to Leafiara, Ysharra says, "It's the world we'll have."
Speaking to Ysharra, Leafiara say, "Though... maybe we mean that in different ways."
Falvicar confusedly asks, "Late?"
Bristenn evenly adds, "For both."
Pukk quietly says, "Well this was an interesting night and I got to see a bunch of imps die. I can sleep peaceful tonight."
Speaking to Falvicar, Leafiara offers, "I guess you'll be glad to know you didn't miss any revelations about yourr father. Not yet, not this time."
Deep in the shadows, you think you see movement: something like a thousand snakes all swarming around each other. By the time you've focused to get a closer look, they are gone.
Cruxophim suddenly fades into view.
Cruxophim offers Ysharra a bark-like chunk of decaying flesh.
Speaking to Bristenn, Ysharra says, "I'm going to assume you meant yourself, not suggesting what I or..."
Ysharra glances at Cruxophim.
Speaking quietly to Leafiara, Falvicar says, "If I am not mistaken, my father isn't happening til later."
Pukk quietly says, "Turns out Roblar is your father."
Speaking to Cruxophim, Ysharra asks, "What will I do with that?"
Ysharra declines Cruxophim's offer.
Falvicar quietly says, "And if I am wrong, I will kill the lot of you."
Speaking to Falvicar, Leafiara agrees, "Definnitely not next week, at least."
Speaking grimly to Ysharra, Cruxophim mutters, "Right."
Speaking quietly to Falvicar, Pukk exclaims, "You flirt you!"
Cruxophim gobbles down her chunk of flesh in one enormous bite.
Speaking to Cruxophim, Ysharra says, "...she's still away." (OOC, context: Ysharra had sent away her raven ranger companion as the conditions in the Landing during the blight were too poor for survival)
Speaking quietly to Leafiara, Pukk exclaims, "You have a restful sleep too!"
Speaking to Cruxophim, Ysharra says, "You'll make me all icky."
Speaking to Cruxophim, Melikor says, "Group hug."
Speaking confidently to Pukk, Leafiara say, "Ya know it. Can't have anything else until I see Raznel dead for good."
Thrassus says, "Good evening all, I have some notes to transcribe."
Speaking disappointedly to Melikor, Cruxophim mutters, "Hug. Yes."
Sofal says, "If one is a dwarf there will probably be a mine cart ride into his noggin."
Speaking quietly to Leafiara, Pukk says, "Or more imps dying."
Leafiara affirms, "My notes are the two dozenth reason to avoid pregnancy."
Speaking to Leafiara, Raelee says, "'For good' is an interesting concept when the probably is non-linear in nature."
Speaking quietly to Leafiara, Pukk says, "I still say the imps are in league with the undead krolvin."
Speaking jokingly to Leafiara, Cruxophim suggests, "The one thing trying over and over and not succeeding is not necessarily a bad thing."
Speaking slowly to Raelee, Leafiara acknowledges, "Well... yes. I'll give ya that."
Speaking quietly to Leafiara, Pukk says, "Maybe it was the Hall doing it last night."
Speaking curiously to Pukk, Leafiara asks, "Doin' what? Sending the krolvin?"
Speaking quietly to Leafiara, Pukk says, "I think they are all in cahoots together."
Speaking to Pukk, Leafiara says, "I mean, I wouldn't put it past them. We saw what Dennet and Octaven had done in the past."
Pukk quietly says, "I forgot to show Stormy her scalp I found of her."
Speaking disappointedly to Pukk, Leafiara says, "Darn, I must have sold Goldtree's scalp on accident."
Speaking quietly to Leafiara, Pukk exclaims, "God I feel so much better!"
Speaking amusedly to Pukk, Leafiara says, "Just wait until next week when we get to fight the warped memory ghosts of them ourselves."
Speaking to Leafiara, Raelee says, "... if I, as a member of the Hall, wanted to see this town destroyed, I would not employ undead Krolvin."
Arianiss asks, "What would you employ?"
Speaking wryly to Raelee, Leafiara says, "Oh, I know, you definitely have other contingency plans entirely..."
Speaking quietly to Raelee, Pukk says, "That is because you are you and you have seen us at our worst and best..."
Raelee says, "No, it is simply..."
Raelee says, "...overcomplicated."
Speaking quietly to Raelee, Pukk says, "But we have a secret weapon...."
Speaking to Arianiss, Leafiara explains, "Well, in the past she's said collapsing the tunnels beneath town would be a strong start... or something like that."
Speaking quietly to Leafiara, Pukk says, "Well not so secret.."
Speaking quietly to Leafiara, Pukk says, "Owlie."
Pukk quietly says, "Owlie."
With a wave and a kiss blown into the wind, Pukk leaves the area.
Leafiara marvels, "A wonder."
Raelee says, "It is adding too many unneccessary layers in the tactics. Too many points of possible failure."
Raelee states, "I would be far more efficient."
Leafiara decisively agrees, "Now that I believe."
Speaking to Raelee, Arianiss asks, "Such as?"
Speaking quietly to Arianiss, Raelee says, "No."
