Fizwixit's Wonderful Widget is the SimuCoin Store's Battle Vault item for the August 2025 Duskruin run. Similar to the Greater Felcour Gauntlets, Fizwixit's Wonderful Widget allows you to TURN in an eligible room to set up a temporary portal for roleplaying. The portal can be set up to lead to a single room or a dual room, and there are also a few ways to restrict entry. For example, if it is set up for a single-room entry, you can allow anyone to go in OR change it to restricted, and then you must POINT your widget at everyone you want to allow in. For dual-room entry, that first room (the same one you would access in single room entry) is always restricted via POINT, but the second room can be either open to everyone else or restricted only to those people you WAVE your widget at. Before using, you have to permanently select where you want this jewelry item to be worn at using the WHISPER options from among the options of anklet, barrette, earring, necklace, pin, ring, or wristlet. The widget was created by GM Xynwen, with room theme painting help by GMs Casil, Elysani, Gyres, Thandiwe, and Tivvy. It is capable of storing up to 99 different rooms, which can be added via gears. Its temporary duration can also be extended by adding certain rarer gear types. AnalyzeYou analyze the brass widget pin and sense that the creator has provided the following information: ~*~ Fizwixit's Wonderful Widgets ~*~ Created for August 2025's Duskruin Arena Battle Vault, the pin is a widget that will allow you to set up a temporary area for roleplaying purposes. Enjoy a single room setup or add in a viewing room to separate your audience from your peforming area. Whisper Setup: * WEAR to choose the permanent location to wear it at. This will update the noun to match your choice. This must be done before other options will work. * COLOR to set the color of your portals * ROOMS to set a single-room or dual-room setup. Single = everyone will go into the same room. Dual = select people will go into one room and others will go into a viewing room. * RESTRICT sets up ANYONE (single only), RESTRICT (select who goes into the first room), DUAL (select who goes into the first room and who goes into the second) * THEMES to list out available room themes and select one Fluff Verbs: eat, fidget, lick, rub, twist Other: * Break: This will allow you to permanently destroy the widget in exchange for an EXP orb * Poke: This will allow you to permanently remove the ability to BREAK the widget * Turn: This opens up a portal to your roleplay area. Additional InformationUpgradingThe widget can be upgraded with gears, which are available at Duskruin's August 2025 run via a prize pile and cost 200 bloodscrip. Gears selected from the pile are random and can be ANALYZE to determine what they augment. The prize pile is a copper-bound trunk, located just past Duskruin's entrance (8214503). Most gears provide additional room theme sets, which are randomly selected from the available options. If you do not have that theme, you can use the gear to add it to your widget, granting permanent access to that theme. Rarer gears may provide upgrades to increase the maximum uses per day by 1 (up to 4x/day maximum total) or that increase the total time duration a portal can be active per use from 30 minutes to 60 minutes. So you can use 2 of the 1x/day increase gears and 1 of the duration gears on a widget. Rare gears have a 5% chance to be pulled from the prize pile. Rarer gears are also a possible rare item drop in the Duskruin Arena and Bloodriven Sewers. Gears are added by using PUSH <widget> while holding both the widget and the gear in each hand. WHISPER <widget> RESTRICT <option> allows the the portal created to limit (or remove the limit on) who may enter. Both single room and dual-room portals can allow ANYONE to enter them so long as the portal is active. Single room portals can have access RESTRICTed, which means that only those that the widget is POINTed at will be able to enter the portal. Dual-room portals have slight different options. RESTRICT is used to provide open access to anyone to the viewing room, while the performance room can only be entered by those the widget is POINTed at. DUAL will set both frooms as restricted. In this case, those the widget is POINTed at can enter the performance room, while those the widget is WAVEd at can enter the viewing room. Your pin is set for a single room only. Your restriction options are ANYONE or RESTRICT. If you select ANYONE, anyone can wander through your portal while it is out. If you select RESTRICT, only those you have POINTed your pin at will be allowed to enter. USAGE: WHISPER MY pin RESTRICT (ANYONE, DUAL, RESTRICT) Your pin is set for a dual-room setup. WHISPER <widget> COLOR <option> allows for the portal created to have its color changed from a list of available colors. The WHISPER COLOR feature allows you to select a custom color for your pin's portals. Usage: * WHISPER MY pin COLOR LIST -- lists all available colors and an associated # * WHISPER MY pin COLOR SET (#) -- sets your color choice * NOTE: This feature uses a color repository that is filtering out any color >15 characters. This means there are skipped numbers; this working as intended. The list of color options is as follows:
WHISPER <widget> WEAR is only available to initially select the widget's worn location, which determines its noun. Once set, the wear location cannot be changed. The wear option will permanently set where your Fizwixit's Wonderful Widget will be worn. To do this, type WHISPER MY pin WEAR (#). When it finishes, you are holding a brass widget pin. Room ThemesThe widget comes with 2 themes out of the vault. Duskruin has a prize pile that you can pay bloodscrip for and get a gear with a randomized theme. If you do not have that particular theme, you can add it to your widget. The first room is what you go into if you have single-room setup. The second room is the viewing room if you set it up for dual rooms. A widget can hold up to 99 total themes. At the time of release, there were only a bit over thirty themes available, however GM Xynwen has indicated that she plans to add more at a later time. Rough basalt pilings are set haphazardly around the cove, a kelp-twisted railing separating them from the glistening stretch of beach. Theme 2: An amphitheatre in the clouds[Amphitheatre of the Clouds] A vague shimmer of violet blurs the edges of the area. Brilliant blue skies shine high above myriad layers of fluffy clouds in bright whites, pinks, and greys. Sunset-hued striations radiate through terraces of pure white clouds that surround the expanse of storm grey billows comprising the ground. You also see a shimmering violet portal. Several cloud-filled terraces, illuminated by sunset-hued striations, look down upon a small amphitheatre of storm grey clouds. Theme 3: An elegant salon with sanguine roses and alabaster floors[The Sanguine Salon] A vague shimmer of violet blurs the edges of the area. Laurel-laden statues of chiseled stone fill the recessed niches of the area, the gilt-foiled walls affixed with flame-lit glass spheres. Sanguine glass-petaled roses slice across the alabaster marble floor, the reddened florals spilling towards the resaeun-framed balcony before vanishing to the depths below. Ebony velvet-draped benches benches curve towards the high-arced windows of the circular room, the elongated seating interspersed by tray-scattered tables occupied by glass decanters. Pale white smoke veils the dimly lit chandelier above, the jewel-draped chains glinting amidst the haze. You also see a shimmering violet portal. Theme 4: A darkened bakery with hints of trouble[A Darkened Bakery] A vague shimmer of violet blurs the edges of the area. Burlap sacks of flour and grain create makeshift boundaries across the dusty floor, the lumpy containers stacked ceiling high and caked in bloodstained frosting. Dented frosting tips dangle from knotted twine below an iron-forged chandelier, the blackened metal casting odd shadows with the ambient light. You also see a shimmering violet portal. [Darkened Bakery, Counter] A vague shimmer of violet blurs the edges of the area. Flour-caked wooden barrels have been remade into makeshift benches scattered along the oak-planked floor, the seats lined along the counter facing the rectangular iron-framed window. Various cooking tools have been affixed to the walls, the implements placed between recipes and other scraps of parchment. You also see a shimmering violet portal. Theme 5: A waterlily pond where capyxitas frolic[Waterlily Pool] A vague shimmer of violet blurs the edges of the area. Faint wisps of steam rise from the heated waters as it gently spills down the layers of rock, the lapping waves breaking against a diminutive herd of capyxitas lounging between the verdant lily pads. Floating votives of lacquered vellum drift along the pale green-blue waters, the candles illuminating the grove of tall bamboo forming a demilune enclosing the area. You also see a shimmering violet portal. [Waterlily Pool, Shore] A vague shimmer of violet blurs the edges of the area. A series of flat rocks create makeshift benches across the greenish blue waters, the seating arranged along the perimeter of the bamboo-framed windows of a tea house. A single capyxita sits on a high rock at the edge of the tea house, gazing nonchalantly across the water. You also see a shimmering violet portal. Theme 6: A rudimentary thatched hut[A Thatched Hut] A vague shimmer of violet blurs the edges of the area. Crooked twine-tied branches form the walls of a hut, wilted leaves slicked back into the slipshod thatching. Bits of gnawed bones and pulverized shell casings are littered across the dirt-strewn ground, haphazardly piled along the discarded suits of rusted armor and broken weaponry left in puddles of stagnant water. A rudimentary porch is visible through a broken door. You also see a shimmering violet portal. [Thatched Hut, Porch] A vague shimmer of violet blurs the edges of the area. Bits of dirt-caked twine dangle from a broken door door and windows, the thin ropes dangling crudely fashioned fetishes across uneven planks laid across pairs of rocks set in a semicircle facing the open door of the hut's interior. Behind the makeshift benches, cages of wire mesh lie battered beneath stacks of dented shields, bits of bone barely protruding from the dirt below. You also see a shimmering violet portal. Theme 7: A cozy tavern[Rosehilde's Tavern] A vague shimmer of violet blurs the edges of the area. Ironbound casks and barrels form makeshift walls enclosing the hearth-warmed tavern, the stein-covered wooden bar surrounded by shelves of distilled spirits and stacks of glassware. High-set tables and stools flank either side of the stone-inset floor, the center demarcated by an uneven ring of empty ale bottles and corks. Neatly carved into the wall behind the bar is "Rosehilde's." You also see a shimmering violet portal. [Rosehilde's Tavern, Tables] A vague shimmer of violet blurs the edges of the area. Several stools situated at high tables flank the stone-inset floor of the tavern. Strands of rope dangling various types of dried tobacco serve as a makeshift barrier between the seating areas and the center of this tavern. Trails of cigar smoke intermingled with the aroma of ale drift across area. You also see a shimmering violet portal. Theme 8: Backstage at a darkened theatre with a view from a prop closet[Darkened Theatre, Backstage] A vague shimmer of violet blurs the edges of the area. A closed curtain of heavy incarnadine velvet blocks this backstage area from the main performance stage. Racks overflowing with costumes are interspersed with trunks stuffed with jewelry, and other props and equipment have been pushed back to make some semblance of an open central area. Several closets and dressing rooms are visible down the backstage corridors. You also see a shimmering violet portal. [Darkened Theatre, Prop Closet] A vague shimmer of violet blurs the edges of the area. Candelabra, swords, statuettes, and other props line the shelves of this spacious closet. A few overturned crates are set up as makeshift tables and chairs, and remnants of a meal serve as evidence the prop closet doubles as a hidden breakroom. Heavy incarnadine velvet curtains separate this stage from both the backstage and its audience. Several white-chalked lines on the polished wooden floor indicate various areas for prop and actor placement, and a single candelabra with ivory candles provides a dim light at center stage. Below the forestage is a barely visible orchestra pit, and along the side walls are lushly appointed loges, each carved with scenes from famous Elanthian plays. Theme 11: A giant mushroom theatre[Sporelight Amphitheatre] A vague shimmer of violet blurs the edges of the area. Speckled toadstools rise from the mossy ground in natural platforms, forming a vibrant fungal amphitheatre. Pale bioluminescence radiates from the oversized fairy ring, casting shifting hues across the soft terrain. In the center, a flat-capped white mushroom serves as a spongy stage beneath the watchful curve of towering fungi. You also see a shimmering violet portal. Fabric-filled crates and chests of vials form the tenuous walls of the area, the kaleidoscope of colors echoed by the splatters of paint covering the canvas-scattered floor below. Bits of wood and metal sit in haphazardly organized baskets beside the wire-framed mannequins, each form draped in a variety of pinned tags and ribbons. A cluster of silk-padded benches are set off to one side. You also see a shimmering violet portal. [Crafting Room, Benches] A vague shimmer of violet blurs the edges of the area. Lantern-affixed easels frame the tall windows of the room, and a cluster of silk-padded benches rest in a semicircle around a cable-knit macrame rug dyed in a wash of bright colors. A low table separates the seating area from a main crafting area. Slender racks of tanned leather and chalk-marked fabric sit by corner cubbyholes neatly arranged with vials of dye wrapped in measuring tape. You also see a shimmering violet portal. Theme 13: A fighting ring outside a ramshackle barn[Ramshackle Barn, Fighting Ring] A vague shimmer of violet blurs the edges of the area. A raised platform is set before a ramshackle barn, its outer edges decorated with suits of rusted armor and broken halves of shields. A crudely drawn border of clay delineates a makeshift ring upon the platform. Rag-filled buckets sit along the periphery of the dirt-covered ground, the balled-up bits of fabric stained with blood, ale, and ichor. You also see a shimmering violet portal. Several knots of rope are wrapped along the broken frames of the barn's windows, the open space allowing trails of cigar smoke to waft across the half-barrel benches set across the straw-strewn floor. Rivulets of wax spill down the candle-filled jugs perched on empty crates, the containers stuffed with various tools and sundries of a more dubious nature. You also see a shimmering violet portal. Theme 14: A gazebo filled with teadragons[Teadragon Gazebo] A vague shimmer of violet blurs the edges of the area. Ivy-draped coils of vivid florals entwine across a hexagonal gazebo, the verdant corkscrews wending onto scattered saucers lining moss-covered railings with teadragon occupants languidly lounging in painted teacups. Faint trails of scented steam fill the area from dual kettles nestled on pot-bellied stoves situated on opposite sides of the gazebo, the tea service accompanied by tiered trays of colorful desserts. Several iridescent teadragons snore quietly along the horizontal railings of the hexagonal gazebo's outer windows, their tails draped over the moss-cushioned perches. Low-set tables of lacquered jadewood are encircled by velvet-cushioned benches, each table decorated with ornamental teacups crafted from pale arathiel. Matching jadewood balustrades separate the six walls of raised seating from the open center. You also see a shimmering violet portal. Theme 15: A cozy library[A Cozy Library] A vague shimmer of violet blurs the edges of the area. Floor-to-ceiling bookshelves line the walls, each overflowing with books and scrolls. Set slightly apart from the books, a cozy reading nook features stuffed leather armchairs and a fireplace with a gently flickering fire. Several well-worn and overstuffed leather armchairs dot this reading nook, each positioned to enjoy the fireplace's warm light while also allowing for a view of the rest of the library. Walls of aged stonework enclose this vast library, with stacks of matching dark grey stone lined up in rows. Light from a large, leaded glass skylight high above filters down on the crumbling stacks, each stack filled with aged tomes, scrolls, maps, and papers in various stages of decay. A podium sits at the front of a small lecture area at the center of the room. You also see a shimmering violet portal. Stone benches and tables crowd around a raised podium, the area a break in what is otherwise an unrelenting parade of crumbling stacks in this vast library. Theme 17: A dungeon stage[The Thirteenth Curtain, Stage] A vague shimmer of violet blurs the edges of the area. Slick with dripping moisture, damp stone encloses the chamber in uneven, rune-etched slabs. A cracked obsidian dais rises at the center, its edges chipped and questionably stained with something dark. Cobalt fire flickers from within cagelike iron chandeliers chained to the mildewed ceiling, casting trembling shadows that stretch toward a granite-chiseled ogee archway. You also see a shimmering violet portal. [The Thirteenth Curtain, Seats] A vague shimmer of violet blurs the edges of the area. A narrow ledge of fractured stone overlooks the chamber below, its edge crumbling into the dark with no railing to guard it. Claw-gouged black basalt benches stand in rigid rows, alcoves carved into the wall beside each. The candles inside are mere melted stumps. Theme 18: A magistrate's hall with an observation chamber[Magistrate's Hall] A vague shimmer of violet blurs the edges of the area. Towering windows barred in severe iron latticework allow thin beams of light to stripe the mirror-polished wood floors. A small aeunarad enclosure containing a single chair stands beside the raised dais where an imposing desk is strewn with stacks of thick tomes and parchment, and a gavel with its block sits neatly to one side.
