You could stuff 10 scrolls in the book but if there was only room on the other scroll for 2 slots left, the first 2 spells in the book (and any other spell in your book that is already on the scroll, which adds to the charges of that spell's slot on the book, max of around 30 charges) would transfer over but the rest wouldn't, but would still lose a charge or two. Hope that didn't come out all confusing. |

The book will hold things other than scrolls, like a normal container. I'm not sure of the weight capacity, but I'd guess not a very large amount since it's made for scrolls. Weighs about 2 pounds.
You hold the scroll you want to combine spells/charges onto in your hand, then put a scroll(s) in the book. Close the book and wave it at the scroll in your hand and it'll combine the charges/spells in the book onto the scroll in your hand.
When you do this, each scroll in the book at the time loses 1 or 2 charges off it in the transfer process, even on extra scrolls that weren't transferred to the other scroll due to not being enough slots left I'm pretty sure.
You can READ the book to see all the spells on the scrolls inside the book and how many charges are left. It costs 15 mana per scroll in the book to do this.

Your vision returns to normal. Mana Points: 417 Remaining: 312
Max of 6 spell slots can be put onto one scroll, max charges for each slot is about 30 charges I think, not sure exactly how much but I think 30. You can have more than 1 of the same spell slot on your scroll. So if you have 107 maxed out with charges in its slot, you can put another "set" of 107 into another slot. So if you wanted, you could have a scroll with 6 slots of 107, 30 charges each slot. So basically you could have a scroll with 180 charges of 107 if you really wanted to.
Combining
Here's how combining works: In the hide bound book you see a burnt scroll and a smeared scroll.
- read book
Your field of vision narrows to the book and its contents. As your mind clears, you begin to see the contents more clearly...
- a burnt scroll
- 5 of Limb Repair (1102)
- 5 of Bind (214)
- a smeared scroll
- 2 of Spirit Defense (103)
- 3 of Bravery (211)
Your vision returns to normal.
- get scroll from my book
You remove a burnt scroll from in your hide bound book.
- close book
You close the book and bind it with its cover, making it completely weather-proof.
- wave book at my scroll
You concentrate heavily as you circle your book slowly around a burnt scroll. A whispy tendril of energy sprouts from the book and stretches towards the scroll, wriggling back and forth like a reader's finger as he or she scans a page. With a sudden darkening in hue, the tendril begins to tap here and there upon the scroll. The tendril stops momentarily, then retreats within the book. Roundtime: 10 sec.
- open my book
You unbind the heavy book and open it.
- look in my book
There is nothing in there.
- read book
Page after page of the book is written in an archaic scrawl and formal language that makes it difficult to read and even more difficult to understand. The subject matter seems to be all about the theory of using runes.
- read my scroll
It takes you a moment to focus on the burnt scroll.
- On the burnt scroll you see
- (1102) Limb Repair
- (214) Bind
- (211) Bravery
- (103) Spirit Defense
- put scr in book
You put a burnt scroll in your hide bound book.
