Lore Benefit
Because this spell is stackable, it can be used as dispel fodder, in case a creature or player casts Spirit Dispel (119), Spiritual Abolition (230), Elemental Dispel (417), or Elemental Disjunction (530) on the character. However, owing to the relatively short duration of each cast, this is most effectively done with Rapid Fire (515).
Training in Elemental Lore, Air provides a chance to be able to point out hidden targets. The formula highly favors the hider, but will allow an extremely dedicated Air Elementalists a chance against less skilled hiders.

When the spell is cast, a random number is generated in the range between half of the caster's Air Lore ranks to the caster's Air Lore ranks. If that number is greater than the number of hiding ranks a hiding character or creature has, the caster will point it out from hiding.

In other words:
:Random number = X
:Elemental Lore, Air ranks = Y
:Hiding creature/character ranks = Z

:X will be random between Y/2 and Y and must be > Z to successfully pointing a target from hiding

Presence provides a chance to detect hidden and invisible creatures in the same room as the caster. While the spell does not directly enhance the Perception skill, it does provide a bonus when performing activities such as detecting/disarming a trap, searching, or using a wedge, and many other activities that take Perception into account. Presence also provides about a 20% phantom increase in total perception ranks in defending against ambush attacks.

When a hidden or invisible character or creature is found using this spell, they are not revealed from hiding nor is their invisibility dispelled. Additionally, the caster cannot simply point to the hidden character to reveal their location. The caster must search in order to reveal a hidden character; this spell does increase the caster's ability to search.

Presence provides no benefit to foraging.

This can be used as dispel fodder, in case a creature or player casts Spirit Dispel (119), Spiritual Abolition (230), Elemental Dispel (417), or Elemental Disjunction (530) on the character.

Lore Benefit

Training in Elemental Lore, Air provides a chance to be able to point out hidden targets. The formula highly favors the hider, but will allow an extremely dedicated Air Elementalists a chance against less skilled hiders.

When the spell is cast, a random number is generated in the range between half of the caster's Air Lore ranks to the caster's Air Lore ranks. If that number is greater than the number of hiding ranks a hiding character or creature has, the caster will point it out from hiding.

In other words:

Random number = X
Elemental Lore, Air ranks = Y
Hiding creature/character ranks = Z
X will be random between Y/2 and Y and must be > Z to successfully pointing a target from hiding
