Song of Valor creates an aura of protection around a bard, increasing defensive strength (DS) by a base of +10 against melee, ranged, and bolt attacks and a +15 bonus to elemental target defense (TD). Training in the Bard Base circle provides an additional +1 DS for every 2 ranks above 1010. Song of Valor also helps defend against sheer fear.
