Ice rings are rare items, similar to water, fire, lightning rings, that allow one to summon a jagged chunk of colored ice that can be worn (orbits the wearer) or played with. Available colors noted include red, orange, yellow, green, blue, purple, brown, black, and white. These colors periodically shift to various hues of its assigned color. Due to its elemental nature, the ice will draw energy from its handler, generally about 1 mana per instance. Ice rings are rare items, similar to water, fire, and lightning rings, that allow one to summon a jagged chunk of colored ice that can be worn (orbits the wearer) or played with. Available colors noted include red, orange, yellow, green, blue, purple, brown, black, and white. These colors periodically shift to various hues of its assigned color. Due to its elemental nature, the ice will draw energy from its handler, generally about 1 mana per instance. Rings can be recharged by casting any water or ice based spell (Minor Water (903), Major Cold (907), Cold Snap (512), Holy Bolt (306)), Water Walking (112) or Dark Catalyst (719) while worn or in hand. NOTE: 1 rank of Magic Item Use is required to use. AnalyzeYou analyze your vaalin ring and sense that the item is largely free from merchant alteration restrictions. RingCAST is used to recharge the item (using an ice-themed spell) and GAZE will give a rough estimation of how many charges are left.
Ice
Additional InformationAmbient MessagingWhile held: The chunk of blue ice shimmers and crackles as its color shifts to a sapphire hue. The piece of sapphire ice in your hand draws some energy from you. Tiny beryl crystals dance across your sapphire ice, gliding over its irregular surface. The chunk of sapphire ice in your palm shudders and releases a small cloud of aquamarine mist. A multitude of ice crystals form around the base of your chunk of blue ice, covering your hand in a cerulean coating. While worn: The shard of turquoise ice leaves its orbit around your head to run rapid circles around your arms and waist, before returning to its regular location. The chunk of turquoise ice spins around your head, moving in erratic patterns as it wobbles from side to side. The orbiting fragment of cerulean ice zips behind your head and out of your field of vision. It reappears on your other side a moment later. A chunk of turquoise ice orbits around your head placidly, leaving a cloud of blue mist in its wake. The chunk of turquoise ice suddenly cracks and splits down the middle. Two pieces of azure ice circle your head on different axises before they collide and reform as a solid fragment of turquoise ice. The chunk of aquamarine ice floating around you shudders and suddenly cracks into thousands of tiny pieces. See Also |
