Kimrella de'Naut is a sea captain who has frequented the Captain's Rest in Solhaven. She is currently a Captain in the Vornavis Navy, and has been since at least 5101, when she came to the Captain's Rest to inform citizens of Solhaven about a rumor amid the Vornavian Court of a trail opening up to the Outlands Manor.

She offered some counsel regarding the blockade around Wehnimer's Landing during a court session in 5102. In 5103, she took adventurers out on the sea in the ships the Starseeker and Rising Swan, where they were ambushed by pirates. While she did not attend most court sessions, she was discussed by Baron Dunrith Malwind at several of them that year. In the court session of Olaesta 5103, Baron Dunrith advised that Kimrella was heavily involved with the efforts of trading the Rising Swan for a seafaring warship or refit it or the Starseeker to serve as such. Later that year, in the court session of Koaratos, Baron Dunrith mentioned that Kimrella was among the very few who had seen the original plans for Vornavis to destroy the Mandis crystal in Mestanir.

In Imaerasta 5116, Kimrella brought Salnim Malwind to Tamzyrr aboard her ship as tensions started to escalate in the north in the wake of Prelate Chaston targetting first "non-believers" and then non-humans.

In Fashanos 5123, she captained the Starseeker as it escorted Lady Sayilla Javilerre from Vornavis to Tamzyrr at night shortly after the death of Lady Kasendra Malwind. While aboard the ship, both Sayilla and her bodygard Steward Jarnsaixa were attacked by the aged healer Grenhal, and Sayilla was thrown overboard. As adventurers on deck sought to illuminate the area to find Sayilla, a pirate ship attacked and was eventually repelled, but neither Sayilla nor Grenhal were found and both were presumed dead. One of the pirates was captured and brought back to Vornavis for questioning, but Kimrella continued to second guess what had happened and why things went wrong.

Kimrella and Magister Odelgarde Brindlestraffe met the elven ship carrying Kasendra's remains back to Vornavis in early Charlatos, in spite of the actions of Harbormaster Wilhard to prevent it from docking. She arrested Wilhard for refusing to obey orders and for derelection of duty, and the next evening, she held him in custody before Lady Athalia Malwind during a court session.

She is tall and has a light, muscular frame.  She appears to be young.  She has alert emerald green eyes and tanned skin.  She has shoulder length, tousled dark brown hair pulled beneath an oiled leather tricorn, leaving the length to rest against the shoulders in a mix of wood-beaded braids.
She is in good shape.
She is wearing a dark green wool cloak adorned with braided white leather epaulets, a vert-dyed leather corset vest with an open-necked white linen shirt caught with polished wood buttons underneath, an ivory leather swordbelt affixed with gilt-throated scabbards, some bloused black suede pantaloons side-buckled along the waist, and a pair of sea thrak hide boots.
