Mass Blur causes all characters in the caster's group to appear blurred to attackers, thus providing the defense equivalent of 20 ranks of Dodging skill. This stacks with other defensive effects.
The effect remains on everyone even if the group breaks up, until the duration is reached.
Mass Spells
This is one of three spells, collectively and colloquially known as "massies", which provide a defensive bonus, affect all members of the caster's group, and remain persistent after the group is disbanded. As such, it is quite common for groups to form in public places specifically for the purpose of casting these spells.
The other two such spells are Mass Elemental Defense (419) and Mass Colors (611).
Spell Usage
- CAST or INCANT to protect each member of the caster's group.
- Self-cast only.
- Stackable up to 250 minutes.
This spell provides the defense equivalent of 20 ranks of the Dodging skill, and its benefits last the full duration of the spell regardless of whether the group stays intact after casting.
Because this spell potentially affects other characters, F2P subscribers can only cast it while ungrouped. To cast for groups, they would need to purchase a Spell Casting Pass.
