The Great Western Sea is the ocean surrounding the western side of the continent of Elanith. Parts of this ocean can be traveled by ship including:
- Cobalt Depths and South of Cobalt Depths (west of Darkstone Bay)
- Darkstone Bay (near Wehnimer's Landing)
- Deep Viridian Sea (between Kestrel Sea and Maelstrom Bay)
- Emerald Waters (near Kraken's Fall)
- Frostmain (near Icemule Trace)
- Kestrel Sea, South Kestrel Sea, and Solhaven Bay (near Solhaven)
- Lucky Seaway (between Great Western Sea and Tenebrous Cauldron)
- Maelstrom Bay (near River's Rest)
- Mirkewater (South of River's Rest toward the Southron Sea)
- Obsidian Trench (between Obsidian Sea and Sea of Lazuli)
- Obsidian Sea (surrounds Teras Isle)
- Sea of Lazuli and South of Sea of Lazuli (just west of Kestrel Sea)
- Southron Sea (Southern side of the Southron Wastes)
