Prayer of Protection provides a base +10 Defensive Strength to melee, ranged and bolt attacks. The DS increases by 1 for every 2 Cleric spells known beyond 303.

The spell is stackable - that is, multiple casts extend the duration of the spell until a cap is reached (nominally 4 hours).

Cost

The base mana cost is 3. The mana cost increases by 1 for every extra 3 DS beyond the base defense (10).

Lore Bonuses

Prayer of Protection is normally a self-cast spell, but can be cast upon others with sufficient knowledge of Spiritual Lore, Blessings. This requires 40 ranks of Blessing lore, and will last for 2 minutes.
