Fashion! 5124

As part of the Elanthian Fashion Week scene, we are pleased to announce that this year's event will be a day to celebrate culture and fashion and, in particular, the influence of flora and fauna. Since it fortuitously coincides with Fowl Fashion Feastday this year, the day will culminate in grand style with the crowning of the "most fashionable" duck on the Flotsam Throne.

To complement this event, there will be a special edition of Elanthian Vogue.

	2pm	Fashion Wars! Revenge of the Fashionistas	House Sylvanfair, Elanthian Elegance, The Looking Glass	Ta'Illistim Green (Ta'Illistim, lich #24555)	A return of the siegery tournament with representatives of the fashionable elite. Siegery toys will be available but feel free to bring your own.
	4pm	Life on the Ocean Wave	Gilded Talon Consortium	Airmen's Rest, Gathering (Mistwatch, lich #31485)	Dress in your nautical finery as we set sail for the flotilla on board the Leviathan. Don't forget to bring your Life Aquatic Collection Device and keep an eye out for marine life!
	5pm	Fowl Fashion		The Great Piratical Flotilla, near Ta'Nalfein	Witness the flotilla's annual Fowl Fashion Feastday. Which duck will take home the prize?.

Chalat Award: Lady Rivienne Mandaire Loenthra and Black Pearl

You see Rivienne Mandaire Loenthra the Painter of the Shining City.
She appears to be an Elf.
She is petite and has a balletic body.  She appears to have come of age.  She has demure violet eyes and silken alabaster skin.  She has long, free-flowing starling black hair with a spill of tiny midnight black poppies crowning her brow.  She has narrow, delicately pointed ears.  Her aspect embodies a fluid symmetry of sharp angles and gentle curves.  She has an oil-sheened coppery violet lacquer brushed onto her rounded fingernails.
She is wearing a squid ink-dyed sindon gown chest-bound by strands of corbeau pearls, twin splayed rolaren octopus cuffs unfurling tentacles that delve between fingers, and some night-hued woven linen sandals with narrow heels.

The black runner duck's slender neck is adorned with gold bangles from throat to shoulder, holding her gilded black beak in poised elevation.  Matching stacks of gold rings encircle her long skinny legs.  Her tall carriage showcases black pearls that gleam like sea spray on her downy chest, while penniformed matte black leather layered into flight feathers contrasts her otherwise glossy plumage.  Squid ink-dyed lightning whelk casings dangle from her tail feathers to rattle and spiral in her wake.
