Magic Item (treasure)

Standard treasure found Magic Items (distinct from the general classification of Magic items, which these fall under) are a collection of magic artifacts which always have the same appearance and qualities. As a general rule, enemies which can drop one of these can drop all of them, but a number of them are significantly rare or a high level that they do not appear very often, or at all, from a vast number of creatures. Certain items, such as Gold-framed clear crystal lenses are so rare that they might only be found in boxes. They come in four classifications, Crystals, Wands, artifacts containing Arcane circle magic, and an Other classification. The exact number of charges on these items varies, but usually falls within a preset range.

Usage

Some of the magic items in this category require Magic Item Use to use effectively, others have no requirements at all. The crystals and everything in the Other category can be used by anyone without training in MIU. All of the wands require MIU, and a number of them contain Bolt spells, which require training in Spell Aiming to use effectively. Most of the Arcane items require and are heavily modified by MIU, but a few, such as Heavy quartz orbs and Small statues, have no such requirements.
