The Written Word

[The Written Word - 25188]
Wave-edged, light maple frames decorate the sides of a carved ebony bookcase displaying a variety of writing utensils and other sundry items. A bookish elven clerk works tirelessly behind a dark maple counter, pulling sheafs of paper and covers from a cloth-lined chest. Occasionally, bits of torn paper float lazily through the air and land on the floor.
Obvious exits: out

On the counter you see:
Special [1]: a simple book binding press
Misc [2]: a small printed placard, a neatly lettered note

Some obscure details about my wares: Be aware when writing that the spoken and written word are closely linked. You must have a quill to write, but it need not be a quill purchased here. Inkpots are not necessary, as the pages have a magical element to them. You may erase what you've written by CLEANing the page. You may TEAR the page to *permanently* remove it from the book. PUSH, TURN, and FLIP will allow you to work with the individual pages.
a neatly lettered note
I, Qaril, can create a custom journal for you. You need only to select a cover and a sheaf of pages from the bookcase. (Each completed volume will have fifty pages.) I can make five types of books (book, notebook, journal, volume, and folio), so be sure to ASK me about the one you are most interested in. Please note that only I can bind these papers into a cover. If you buy some, make sure I fix it up for you. If you leave Bloodriven Village before I've worked with them, they will be useless.

Once combined, creates a Writable book

In the cloth-lined chest you see: a sheaf of grid-lined parchment, a sheaf of sepia parchment, a sheaf of bloodied parchment, a sheaf of burnt vellum, a sheaf of silvered vellum, a sheaf of marbled vellum, a sheaf of lily white parchment, a sheaf of faded paper, a sheaf of paw-inked paper, a sheaf of cat-edged paper, a slim burgundy leather cover, an aged leather compass-clasped cover, a scarab-inset ashen nubuck cover, a branch-inked pale silk cover, an obsidian rose jacquard cover, a thorn-tooled emerald leather cover, a talon-clasped sable velvet cover, a fang-strung pale snakeskin cover, a demon-branded greyed leather cover, a sinew-bound black suede cover, a jewel-inset rose gold suede cover and a sheaf of dark floral vellum.

The Yarrrpee Shoppe

[The Yarrrpee Shoppe -]
Planks of sun-bleached wood have been reinforced by iron rivets, the disorganized shop resembling the interior of a ramshackle ship. Faded flags of unknown origin are draped against the walls, providing a backdrop for a cluttered stained wood wardrobe and a heavily notched wooden chest firmly wedged towards the back. A chum bucket sits empty in the back corner, save for a bright yellow pineapple.
Obvious exits: east, out

In the heavily notched wooden chest you see: a dark lacquer kraken-carved pegleg, an aged wooden barrel-stacked pegleg, a fish-carved colorful wooden pegleg, a kelp-caged pale driftwood pegleg and a mahogany seahorse-shaped pegleg.

In the cluttered stained wood wardrobe you see: a sun-bleached dark leather tricorn, an empty rusted steel bucket, a skull-inked black cotton bandana, a map-branded tan leather eyepatch, a bone-beaded white suede eyepatch, a patinaed gilded bronze hook, a salt-corroded copper hook, an unevenly notched steel hook, a rope-bound darkened steel hook and a lace-cuffed rose gold hook.

Analyze:

The tricorn has one custom feature settings. It can have three more.

When adding custom feature settings, it will be just like altering your hair quirk (or unique line if you're bald). An example would be:

tucked under a sun-bleached dark leather tricorn, which is tightly knotted in the back.
He has a sun-bleached dark leather tricorn covering his bald head.
with a sun-bleached dark leather tricorn placed at the crown of his head.
He has a sun-bleached dark leather tricorn placed at the crown of his bald head.

Please note, that if you have the custom settings made for someone bald, it won't look right for someone with hair, and vice versa. You also can't wear this with another hair quirk/unique field altering item to change your features. This item isn't limited to just bandana-type items, it can also be a crown, tiara, visored helm, or something similar.

The Yarrrpee Shoppe, Closet

[The Yarrrpee Shoppe, Closet -]
The haphazardly nailed closet is both narrow, yet oddly spacious. An oversized steel birdcage stands guard over a number of rolled up maps, the scrawled renderings of mysterious locales laid bare between stains of ale and saltwater. A torn hemp net decorates the back wall, dangling random props that sway with every movement of the wagon.
Obvious exits: west

In the oversized steel birdcage you see: a glossy black silk penguin, a grey-bellied ivory linen seagull, a button-eyed cotton arctic puffin, a sepia-winged pale chainsil osprey and a salt-stained bright satin parrot.
