Wand bows are ranged weapons that can be temporarily loaded with standard wizard wands to imbue its ammunition with flares.

Tier 1

Locked bows are restricted to one of fire, cold, lightning, or acid flares, and they can only accept the corresponding wand for that flare type.

You can load the magic into the weapon by holding the weapon in one hand and the appropriate wand in another and using LOAD.  There is special messaging for the LOAD, FIRE, LOOK, and SHOW verbs.

Tier 2

Fully unlocked wand bows can take wands of every type. The resulting flare corresponds to the type of wand added to the bow.

Additional Information

Wand bows can be sold or altered with any description that adheres to ALTER guidelines, such as to a recurve ruic composite bow with a blue suede grip.

While a wand bow is loaded, any ammunition will have a 100% chance of flaring, provided that it is not currently blessed or elementally bladed.

They can be further modified via player services, such as enchanting and sighting.
