Bear mounts were released at Rumor Woods in 2025 as the seventh installment of available mounts. Bear mounts are summoned by a medallion, which is a summoning item that stores their information but is considered a separate item. Similar to horse mounts, there are three tiers of bear mounts: common, uncommon, and rare. All bears use the same feature template, no matter their rarity. There are some species- or coloration-based restrictions on which features are available through the Ostler, depending on the individual bear. Rarity does not impact feature restriction for bears, and rare tier bares are not locked into a fixed feature set unlike many other mounts. As with other mounts, bears can be given a name visible to the owner with a Potion of Naming, available at Evermore Hollow. Common bears can be unlocked to the uncommon tier via Uncommon Mount Foods, expanding their verb messaging, ambient message, and available feature options. AppearanceThough much taller when standing upright, the bear is (height) at the shoulders, which are broad and bulky. His ears are (ears) and his neck is thick. Dappled in (highlight) highlights along the edges of his (face) face, spine, and hind legs, the bear's fur is (fur adj.) (fur color) and spreads uniformly across the rest of his (body) physique. His paws are large and powerful, easily supporting his thick legs. CommonCommon mounts are the least expensive option when considering purchase. They are restricted to being either a black or a brown bear. They have some coloration-based limitations on their available features that are available through the Ostler.

Ambient MessagesThis section has not been added yet; please add to it now! UncommonUncommon mounts are the second most expensive option when considering purchase. They have some coloration or species-based limitations on their available features that are available through the Ostler.
UsageNote: Only the verbs differing from the common tier will be included below.
AmbientsThis section has not been added yet; please add to it now! RareRare mounts are the highest tier available for purchase and offer additional verbs unavailable at common or uncommon tiers. They are only available during their initial run, and are normally discontinued in concurrent runs. For 2025, the rare bear mount was a Southron brown bear and a Wyrese brown bear. Unlike some other rare mounts, rare bear mounts are not locked into their features or descriptions. They do have some coloration-based limitations on their available features that are available through the Ostler. Southron brown bears are based loosely off of Himalayan brown bears in appearance. Wyrese brown bears are based loosely off of Kodiak bears in appearance.
Though much taller when standing upright, the bear is around sixteen hands at the shoulders, which are broad and bulky. His ears are grizzled and his neck is thick. Dappled in dusky marbled highlights along the edges of his scar-lined face, spine, and hind legs, the bear's fur is thicky matted auburn and spreads uniformly across the rest of his gargantuan physique. His paws are large and powerful, easily supporting his thick legs.

Special AbilityThe special ability for rare tier bears is to randomly find a honeycomb as one of its ambient actions. The honeycomb is compatible with a variety of cooking and related systems. Issuing an excited, bugle-like bark, a matted gargantuan Wyrese bear lumbers over to a broad-leafed magnolia tree and rises up on his hind legs, arms above his head. Snorting and whining, he bats at something in the branches until a large beehive drops to the ground with a wet thud. Striped bumblebees surge out of the hive, several swarming at the bear's face, while a larger swarm forms into a buzzing cloud that darts off into the distance. Swatting the bumblebees away easily, the bear plops onto his behind with his legs splayed before him and paws at the hive until he breaks it into pieces. Turning to you, he issues an inviting, high-pitched roar before consuming most of the empty hive, leaving a dark golden honeycomb behind. Ambient MessagesA rhythmic scrape-scrape sound fills the air as a massive brown Wyrese bear leans back against a tree, rubbing his shoulders along the rough bark before standing back up and shaking out his fur. A massive brown Wyrese bear sways slightly from side to side, shifting his weight before letting out a great, gusty huff.
