As if the shadows themselves had come alive, two swirling red eyes stare at you from a vaguely humanoid shape. The body of the darken seems to shift and meld into the shadows. Small writhing tendrils of shadow seem to snake from the darken's shape, searching along the ground for something.
Hunting strategies
Darken are invisible but can be revealed by Light (205):
Suddenly, small writhing tendrils of shadow reach out towards you! You deftly avoid the writhing tendrils of shadow. > You trace a sign while petitioning the spirits to bestow their aid with the Light spell... Your spell is ready. You gesture.
