A magic's Sphere refers to its type of magic, determined by the origin of the power that the magical effect is derived from. There are three major spheres of magic: Elemental, Mental, and Spiritual. Magic is typically derived from a single source, though some professions have dedicated themselves to the study of more than one sphere. This enables them to combine the forces of multiple origins creating hybrid magic. Each spell circle may draw their influence from one or more spheres of magic. For example, the Cleric Base circle is spiritual in nature, whereas the Sorcerer Base is a hybrid of both spiritual and elemental magics.
