Blind is a warding spell that causes the image of the cleric's deity to be superimposed over him/herself. This vision will blind the target, causing it to be stunned for the duration of the effect.

On a warding margin of 20 or more (endroll of +120 or higher), there is a chance the target will be forced into a kneeling position, which is increased with training in Spiritual Lore, Religion.

Undead and creatures that are immune to stuns cannot be affected by this spell.

Lore Benefit

Every three ranks in Spiritual Lore, Religion increases the percentage chance to force kneeling by 1%.

Messaging

Main article

The target of this spell will see a message based on the cleric's alignment.

Cholen
Caster sees: As your faith overcomes <target>'s weakened defenses, you sense the merriment and goodwill of the Jester flowing through you.
Target sees: <caster>'s face shimmers and vanishes, and, in its place, you see the image of a young, golden-haired man with a smile of delight curving his lips. His eyes are the color of the sky, and they sparkle brightly with merriment. Divine radiance blazes around the image, and you are blinded.
