Rolton mount: Difference between revisions

Rolton mounts released at Rumor Woods as part of a new Year of the Rolton Theme for 2023. Mounts are summoned by a summoning item, such as reins, which store their information, but are considered a separate item. There were three tiers released: common, uncommon, and rare. All rolton mounts share a similar setup with their appearance.

Appearance

Small-pupilled, brown eyes dominate the wide face of the sheep, while short ears rest upon his noble brow at an angle, leaving room for curved horns with dark rings.  His fluffy body is covered in solid cream fleece, which trails across his back and culminates in a short tail.

Common

Common mounts are the least expensive option when considering purchase. They are limited in alteration options that may be allowed through the Ostler.

Uncommon

Uncommon mounts are the second most expensive option when considering purchase. They have more options available for noun choices, as well as a wider array of feature alterations at the Ostler. Their appearance is similar to the common tier.

Goats can be customized by the Ostler to include a cultural type, appearing as the following:

Changing the culture of the goat causes that portion to be seen everywhere that normally would display "goat". For example: You pet your paeladri goat. To change the goat's culture, you must ASK GROOMER ABOUT CULTURE for available options.

Rare

Rare mounts are the highest tier available for purchase and offer additional verbs unavailable at common or uncommon tiers. They have the widest array of feature alterations at the Ostler. Their appearance is similar to the common tier.

Cultural Variations

Brown, small pupilled eyes dominate the elongated face of the rolton, while pointed ears rest upon his pronounced brow at an angle, leaving room for homonymous horns with downward-facing, hooked tips.  His flecket body is covered in heathery golden fleece, which trails across his back and culminates in a short tail.

Feeding Your Mount

Feeding a mount is not mandatory, but it is a fun roleplaying option. Mounts will not eat anything that is not part of the basic food system OR a foraged item, but they all trap on specific nouns. Below is a list of those nouns for each mount subtype in the ovine category.
