While not directly a servant of Lorminstra, Voln does owe much to her and shares her hatred of Luukos.

Tales suggest that Voln's very existence is a result of Lorminstra's constant entreaties to Koar for some direct action to counter the spreading curse of Luukos' undead. Most tales attribute Voln's paternal lineage to Koar and a mortal woman. His upbringing, in a land where he witnessed loved ones lost to Luukos' curse, shaped him with an undying hatred of the undead and provided a lifelong mission. Now fully cognizant of his own immortal nature, Voln has pledged himself to the release of every soul enslaved by Luukos.

Voln's form is that of a man in full armor of black chainmail topped by a white surcoat and carrying a white shield. In manner, he is grim and sometimes snide. His symbol is a white shield on a field of black.

Shrines, Statuary, and Holy Places

Cleric Guilds

In a Prayer Room inside each Cleric Guild is a statue of Voln. The Prayer Rooms are considered holy shrines to multiple deities.

You see a man clad in full chainmail topped by a surcoat. He rests on one knee, a slightly battered shield at his side and an oft-nicked longsword in his hand. The weariness in his face is tempered by vigilance and grim determination.

You reach out and touch the statue of Voln.

A soft wave of magic flows over you, making your skin tingle with Voln's energies.

Wehnimer's Landing Cleric Guild

One of the Halls of Lessons in the Wehnimer's Landing Cleric Guild is dedicated to Voln. The statue is identical to that in the other Cleric Guilds. It is considered a holy shrine.

[Cleric Guild, Hall of Lessons]
Dark ebonwood panels line the walls of this small room, their mottled surfaces dimly illuminated by several large pillar candles. The statue of a man bedecked in black chain-mail is located within a small arched alcove, the white marble around him a stark contrast to the dark surroundings. The man's face is stony even for a statue, and a grimly determined expression has been chiseled upon his face. A simple black altar sits before the shallow niche, an ivory kite shield lying upon its surface.

Crafted of sturdy black vultite, the altar is unadorned and very plain-looking. A white kite shield lies downturned atop its surface.

The shield has plainly seen many battles, as evident by the scratches and dents which have been slightly hidden by a coating of dye. Inscribed across its surface in plain script are the words, "The struggle always continues, and the righteous will never abandon the fight."

Located in the Antechamber of Others is a statue of Voln. This area is not considered a holy shrine.

This figurine depicts a well-built man in full black chainmail armor covered with a belted white surcoat. His expression is grim, his eyes are full of purpose, and he holds a white shield in his hands. The symbol represented is that of a white shield on a field of black.

Ta'Vaalor Cleric Guild

One of the Chambers of Lessons in the Ta'Vaalor Cleric Guild is dedicated to Voln. The statue is identical to that in the other Cleric Guilds. It is considered a holy shrine.

[Spirit Hall, Chamber of Lessons] Neatly ordered rows of columns form the circular chamber, banners of black bearing white shields hung between them. Within the recesses of an arched niche is a towering statue of a man, his grim form knelt down in a vigilant prayer. A small altar draped with a black velvet cloth is set before the statue, its white surface appearing pale and somber within the embrace of the faint candlelight. Obvious exits: east

In the Common language, it reads:
"Control and temperance are the measure of any great commander. This Patron embodies these qualities - he endures where others would flounder. All may find valuable assets in this one's teachings."
