Summary

  • Townspeople gather outside Moot Hall on a rainy night, gossiping about the Blood Son coming to bring healing and restoration, a man with a face of red oak. One asks Mayor Leafiara if she's heard of the Blood Son and if he's real; she says he's real but can't vouch for the rumors, and is interested in giving him a chance upon arrival. Another in the crowd says the Blood Son is said to bring immortality; others chuckle while others affirm it. Still another vouches that he restored a man's mind, turning him from a gibbering fool into a poet, while another expresses hope that the Blood Son can stop his mother's memory loss. Another has been sick since Raznel's blight.
  • One of the townspeople steps toward Moot Hall with a paintbrush and a jar of murky blood to paint a circle of blood along the wall. When he steps away, a few in the ground begin chanting that he is coming. A young girl asks the gathered crowd of adventurers if the Blood Son can bring back her dead mother. Chandrellia and Leafi say they aren't sure, Krampton says to at least try, and Miraalor says not to hope upon nothing. The girl says she thinks he can and will. Balley asks when she died and thhe girl says from the blight.
  • As the townspeople disperse with gossip, Councilwoman Alendrial arrives, saying she thought they'd never disperse. Mayor Leafi greets her and she says they'll need to speak soon, since she (Leafi) needs a new town council member since she (Alendrial) has been doing the work of two--but fortunately Beldrin set a low bar and did little.
  • However, she's mainly here because of a letter. The Blood Son is coming and an entourage is with him. They've made a request for safe settling of tents near town when he arrives, and some accomodations like food and drink. She clarified that they didn't request tents and might be bringing their own.
  • Guarrin, Leafi, and Chandrellia ask how many there are, but Alendrial doesn't know; Leafi asks if a stay at the Wayside would be acceptable, but Alendrial says we'll prepare for a variety of options; Sir Cryheart proposes the militia keep an eye out on the Blood Son and his entourage. Fahlo says his followers in town already have the Raging Thrak marked for him.
  • Without much more to go on, other than that the Blood Son will hold a Revival on the Eve of the Huntress, Leafiara says she doesn't see a need to go out of our way to provide lodging; either his followers in town will cover it, the entourage has their own, or they can stay at the inns.
  • Alendrial adds that the letter seemed to be an intent to dwell near or within the town, but wanted to ensure a measure of safety. Chandrellia asks where they were last seen and Leafi says it's a problem when we don't know their numbers; Alendrial says she doesn't know if they're a dozen or a hundred. Magister [[::Raelee_Svala|Raelee]] suggests sending a scout and Alendrial says that's a good idea that we used to rely on Thrayzar.
  • Captain Shinann says the militia will watch, but she won't ask her people to guard the Blood Son's following without knowing more. Alendrial asks if she has scouts and she says yes; Leafiara asks if we can at least agree to stop attacks made against the entourage if they're peaceful and she agrees.
  • Calael asks if we can just say no; Alendrial says no, but we can be prepared--and we've seen what blindness can do, with Chaston. Leafi concludes that it's good to have our forces ready to either protect the Blood Son's group or protect against them.

Log

Idling in the Rain

[Town Square Central]

This is the heart of the main square of Wehnimer's Landing. The impromptu shops of the bazaar are clustered around this central gathering place, where townsfolk, travellers, and adventurers meet to talk, conspire or raise expeditions to the far-flung reaches of Elanith. At the north end, an old well, with moss-covered stones and a craggy roof, is shaded from the moonlight by a strong, robust tree. The oak is tall and straight, and it is apparent that the roots run deep. You also see the Asben disk, the Paiyot disk, the purple Mekimin disk, the Guarrin disk, a small black fox with a white masked face, the white Enervation disk, the Chandrellia disk, the Wolfloner disk, the white Waede disk, an herbal remedy donation bin and some stone benches with some stuff on it. Also here: Sibylline, Yunmen who is lying down, Fahlo who is kneeling, Grand Lord Asben who is sitting, High Lord Kroviec, Reissa, Great Lord Draphik, Halimeda, Laerune, Viva, Berost, Russvult, Paiyot who is sitting, Mekimin who is sitting, Guarrin, Shinann, Mayor Leafiara, Velado, Small Game Huntress Rendena, Pukk who is sitting, Great Lord Falthian, Enervation, Zazziel, Great Lady Chandrellia who is sitting, Sir Cryheart, Wolfloner, Lexbubba, Waede who is sitting

The sky begins to fill with huge clouds, dark and grey on the bottom, pale and white atop, their puffy crowns ascending toward the heavens.

Viva says, "And like that...it seems there may be some needy soon..."

Pukk recites:

"Everybody Cryheart!"

Speaking to Pukk, Reissa asks, "Is Cryheart a verb?"

Speaking sagely to Reissa, Leafiara says, "It is now."

Speaking to Leafiara, Reissa says, "He'll probably complain that I'm too critical of him."

Reissa says, "He may be right."

A pale-faced coppery barn owl flies in.

Dipping into a lazy dive, the coppery barn owl glides to the ground and lands.

Speaking approvingly to a pale-faced coppery barn owl, Leafiara says, "Perfect Landing landing as ever."

Speaking to Pukk, Reissa asks, "I tell you I adore you enough?"

The coppery barn owl hoots at Leafiara.

Speaking to Reissa, Pukk says, "No, because it can never be enough."

Speaking to Pukk, Reissa says, "I adore you."

Speaking to Pukk, Reissa says, "I couldn't ask for a better brother-uncle."

Speaking to Bernadette, Pukk asks, "Did you join Cryheart?"

Bernadette softly says, "Aye did."

Speaking to Pukk, Viva says, "Everyone did, you know what they say, straight to where the Pukk is going."

Speaking deeply to Pukk, Berost says, "It's on the citizenship waiver form. 'Ye shall join Sir Cryheart when told.'"

Speaking to Reissa, Pukk says, "Can't be a brother-uncle. We were disowned and forgotten by our adoptive mom."

Speaking to Berost, Pukk says, "When told by Pukk."

Speaking pleasantly to Reissa, Leafiara says, "He's an acquired taste."

Reissa says, "I really want to forget that part."

Speaking to Reissa, Pukk exclaims, "People disowning us is what makes us unique!"

Speaking to Leafiara, Reissa says, "He speaks the truth, though."

Speaking to Reissa, Pukk exclaims, "If I had a silver for all the people that want to forget me, I would be rich!"

Speaking gently to Reissa, Mekimin squeaks, "But you're unforgettable!"

Speaking to Pukk, Reissa says, "We fought over the stupidest thing."

Speaking softly to Reissa, Chandrellia asks, "Pukk's teddy bear?"

Speaking to Chandrellia, Reissa says, "No, no.. me'n mum."

Chandrellia softly says, "Oohh."

Chandrellia softly says, "Sorry."

Reissa says, "Pukk and I fought a little because I was a jerk."

Speaking to Reissa, Pukk exclaims, "Wait...it was you? I thought it was m....I mean...yeah...it was you!"

Speaking softly to Reissa, Chandrellia says, "I am sure he forgives you."

Reissa says, "Actually, I'm probably still a huge brat."

Reissa asks, "Who knows?"

Speaking curiously to Reissa, Leafiara asks, "Oh?"

Pukk recites:

"Everybody join Cryheart!"

The coppery barn owl moves closer to Cryheart.

Balley softly says, "Oh I hope I do not need to have spells tonight."

Speaking to Leafiara, Reissa asks, "Does that come as a surprise?"

Waves of fine mist scurry around you in a somber dance.

Speaking amusedly to Reissa, Leafiara says, "I don't know--I only barely know ya, so you tell me."

Speaking to a pale-faced coppery barn owl, Pukk says, "We have taken a vote. If Leafi doesn't run next year for mayor, you are a sure win."

Balley softly asks, "Anyone else see mist?"

Sonnillon raspily asks, "What's up with this mist?"

Hopeful Followers

Some townspeople began to murmur amongst themselves, some of them slowly gathering outside of Moot Hall.

Speaking to Leafiara, Reissa says, "Well, if you don't think I'm a brat yet, I must be doing better."

Leafiara says, "That's just the mist of the rain..."

The coppery barn owl hoots at Pukk.

Sir Cryheart's group just went east.

[Town Square, East]

Here in the center of a broad plaza near the commercial area of the bazaar stands the impressive facade of the slate-roofed Moot Hall, where the citizens of Wehnimer's Landing hold various official, religious and social functions. Facing the square are some of the town's more prosperous shops, still doing business with the many customers who still frequent the streets at night. You also see some gathered townspeople, a tiny kitten and a large purple wooden barrel.

Leafiara ventures, "I'm guessing some of you have heard about this 'Blood Son' on his way..."

Fahlo says, "There was the mention of the mist from the dock worker the other day."

Speaking to Balley, Viva says, "You are jassing things up."

Someone within the crowd can be overheard, "....and they say he comes soon, and he'll bring healing and restoration for the minds and bodies...."

Reissa exclaims, "I have no idea what's going on!"

Sonnillon whispers to the group, "Rioters or protestors."

Speaking to himself, Guarrin mutters, "Sounds grand."

Pukk yells, "Sure! I heard that before!"

Leafiara whispers to the group, "No... the hopeful."

Miraalor deeply says, "It has the sound of cultish thought."

Cryheart says, "Followers."

Reissa yells, "It's true!"

Sonnillon raspily says, "Sounds cultish to me."

Leafiara helpfully says, "Well, there's always the slim chance that this time it'll be the truth."

Speaking softly to some gathered townspeople, Chandrellia says, "We don't know what he will bring, we will be cautious, but we will see what his intentions are."

Some of the townspeople continue to discuss amongst themselves. You hear mention of the Blood Son, of healing, of a man with a face of red oak.

Speaking raspily to some gathered townspeople, Sonnillon says, "Who wants to cuddle."

Leafiara whispers to the group, "I hope that's not literal and he's not a treekin."

Zhagen asks, "Is this the new town square?"

A townsperson turns to Leafiara, "Mayor, have you heard of the Blood Son? Is he real?"

Balley softly says, "I think he is hiding behind a mask."

Speaking cautiously to some gathered townspeople, Leafiara says, "I'm sure he's real, but whether the rumors are true is... another story."

Berost deeply says, "Folk always lookin fer their savior ... what with what they put up wit here."

Reissa mouths, "Mayor?"

Speaking affably to some gathered townspeople, Leafiara says, "I'm interested in his arrival, at least. Nothing to do but give him a chance, I think."

Miraalor deeply says, "The only savior for a place of strife is discipline."

Balley softly says, "It will be interesting."

Speaking sincerely to Miraalor, Leafiara says, "We'll never master that particular field, I assure you."

Speaking raspily to some gathered townspeople, Sonnillon asks, "Does he bring drinks?"

Berost deeply says, "Or ale. either or."

Speaking to Balley, Viva says, "Mask or mascara perhaps."

Balley softly says, "I wonder if he will let us healers watch him work."

Speaking deeply to Leafiara, Miraalor says, "I hold no hope for that."

Someone in the crowd says, "They say he brings immortality."

Leafiara musingly says, "Maybe he found some Everblood."

Berost deeply asks, "His name is blood son?"

Some people in the crowd lightly chuckle at the mention of immortality. Someone says, "That seems impractical."

Leafiara speculates, "That would explain the name, at least..."

Speaking deeply to Berost, Miraalor says, "It has the sound of a title, or epithet, to me."

Speaking deeply to some gathered townspeople, Miraalor says, "A story without ending is empty."

Balley softly asks, "Anyone know if he is young or old?"

Shinann says, "Does not seem logical."

Someone in the crowd says, "It's true, I've heard it's happened."

Reissa exclaims, "That's not evidence!"

Speaking deeply to Miraalor, Berost says, "Done had me fill of blood this, blood that, blood witches..."

Fahlo says, "I think immortality is left to gods."

Viva says, "There was another who claimed to bring immortality...seemed to come with some...bones attached."

Sonnillon yells, "Make with the cuddling!"

Speaking softly to some gathered townspeople, Chandrellia says, "Nothing has been proven, though it has been said that he has studied blood magic and uses it well, again we don't know for sure."

Leafiara clarifies, "What kind of immortality are we talking about? Just not aging, immunity to wounds?"

Reissa says, "Immnuity to emotions."

Someone in the crowd says, "He spoke to many on the outskirts of the Bleaklands. Restored a man's mind! Brought him from a gibbering fool to a damn poet now."

Sonnillon raspily says, "I'm still a fool."

Leafiara muses, "Hmm, gibbering fools. Maybe we could see if he could do anything for Malluch or Osment if the stories are true..."

Speaking excitedly to some gathered townspeople, Mekimin squeaks, "I'll take two of whatever you're selling!"

Speaking to Pukk, Fahlo says, "There's hope yet."

Speaking softly to some gathered townspeople, Chandrellia says, "As far as immortality we already have it! How many times have some of us died and our good clerics has rasied us from the dead before we passed through the gates, we own immortality already."

Leafiara admits, "I'm definitely interested, at least, like I said."

Someone in the crowd says, "We'll be ready when he arrives. My mother's been losing her memories. I wonder if he can heal her."

Guarrin whispers something to Cryheart.

Speaking sympathetically to some gathered townspeople, Leafiara says, "Sometimes the best thing is to just try. I can understand."

Sonnillon raspily asks, "I lost an axe, can he find that?"

Speaking lightly to Sonnillon, Leafiara says, "I think the adventurer's guild can usually handle *that* one."

Speaking to Sonnillon, Reissa says, "I didn't take it."

Cryheart whispers something to Guarrin.

Roelon deeply says, "Ah wonder what he asks for in return."

Someone in the crowd says, "I've been sick ever since the witch's blight. I hope he can fix me!"

Balley softly says, "I can not wait to see or meet this blood son."

Speaking softly to Leafiara, Chandrellia says, "This could turn out to be a mess, I do hope we get advance warning of his arrival, he may need protection as these people may surely smother him before he gets through the gate."

Balley softly says, "Hey Leafi maybe he can remove these ugly wrinkles from Vlashandra."

Speaking to Chandrellia, Leafiara reminds, "Well, Adam did say he's expected by the week's end, but I understand the concern."

Speaking to Chandrellia, Asben says, "Good point."

Speaking to Chandrellia, Leafiara muses, "On the other hand, if he really *can* give immortality, then it doesn't matter how many people mob him..."

Speaking to Balley, Leafiara acknowledges, "Also an interesting thought."

Someone steps forward from the crowd of townspeople, a brush in one hand, a jar of murky blood in the other. He steps towards Moot Hall.

Mekimin chirps, "It will be a good test of his claim!"

Krampton says, "Me thinks any kind of ugliness Vlashandra has is to the bone me afraid."

Arianiss says, "Uh oh."

Speaking to Shinann, Fahlo says, "The circle."

Balley softly says, "Who is that."

Speaking softly to Leafiara, Chandrellia says, "True as that may be, the other question that will be rasied is, is he willing to share his knowledge."

Leaiara curiously says, "Ah, so I was right the other night--the blood was a sign of his followers, telling him where to visit."

Leafiara adds, "Probably."

The man dips his brush into the jar of blood and brings it up to the side of Moot Hall. He slowly, artfully, draws a circle of brushstrokes in blood, over and over and over until it smears thick along the wall.

Speaking excitedly to Adalfuns, Mekimin chirps, "Good news!"

Leafiara musingly says, "Fancy."

Speaking excitedly to Adalfuns, Mekimin chirps, "We're joining a cult and living forever!"

Gutstorm drunkenly exclaims, "Dat gaffiti!"

The man steps away, looking at the circle of blood. "He is coming."

Balley softly asks, "At least he is using a brush not his fingers?"

Chandrellia softly exclaims, "Hey that's vandalism of the Mayor's Town Hall!"

Someone else from the crowd says, "He is coming."

Miraalor deeply asks, "What is that song?"

Viva says, "Bloody right he is."

Speaking to Leafiara, Arianiss asks, "Going to let them do that?"

Adalfuns ominously echoes, "He is coming."

Mekimin singsongs, "He's coming!"

Krampton asks, "Unless the people doing dat to the Moot Hall have approval me thinks dats defacing publics properties?"

Speaking to himself, Fahlo says, "Circle? More like a bullseye."

Balley softly asks, "Tonight?"

Speaking to Mekimin, Reissa exclaims, "Isn't it pretty?!"

Speaking to Roelon, Viva says, "Much blood may runneth soon."

The man with the brush bows before Leafiara, then steps back into the crowd.

Leafiara casually says, "Oh, it's fine. I said it during the campaign--the real power of the Landing is all of our people, not just the mayor or marshal or any one person."

Balley softly says, "Interesting."

Mekimin cheers, "Yay! I can't wait!"

Leafiara adds, "Though we'll... maybe clean that up *after* he's done visiting."

Balley softly says, "I wonder if he will sneak in or make a grand entrance."

Cryheart says, "More eager fools to follow a person who may be a false prophet."

Speaking to Balley, Fahlo says, "Might already be here."

Speaking slowly to Balley, Leafiara says, "I'm thinking the grand entrance."

Roelon deeply says, "The hall could use some fresh paint."

A young girl from the crowd nervously inches forward, coming to a stop before Moot Hall and looking up at the circle of blood.

Shinann says, "I think sneaking in is not his style."

Mekimin happily singsongs, "Immortality!"

Gutstorm drunkenly says, "Ill clean it."

Gutstorm pulls the silver lever on the cannon. With a click and a fast *WHOOSH* he douses the Moot Hall with water since there's nothing it can really do about it!

Speaking softly to Balley, Chandrellia says, "He may be among us now, and watching to see how we will react and only reveal himself when he feels its right."

Sonnillon raspily says, "Watch out she looks dangerous."

The little girl turns towards the crowd, "My mother is dead. Will he be able to bring her back?"

Chandrellia softly says, "I don't know sweetie."

Leafiiara says, "That's... nothing's certain. We'll have to see."

Leafiara awkwardly says, "I wish I could say for sure, but I can't."

Krampton says, "Gotta at least try right? Might as well try to use blood magics."

Miraalor deeply says, "It is wiser not to hope upon nothing."

The young girl sighs. Then smiles, "I think he can. I think he will."

Balley softly asks, "I am not sure my dear, when did your mother die?"

Guarrin whispers something to Cryheart.

Balley softly says, "We have see many brought back."

The young girl says, "From the blight."

Chandrellia softly says, "I hope so too sweetie."

Reissa says, "Oh.. I."

Balley softly says, "I am sorry you lost your mother my dear."

Reissa says, "I just can't."

Berost deeply says, "Fillin tha lasses head wit' false hope."

Speaking raspily to some gathered townspeople, Sonnillon asks, "No cuddlers in the whole lot of you?"

Leafiara thoughtfully says, "Well, considering he started his healing work outside the Bleaklands, I.. suppose he's experienced with undoing Raznel's work, at least, so there's that."

Speaking softly to Berost, Chandrellia says, "Hope no matter how false to a young child is still hope leave her be."

The little girl walks off into the night. The townspeople continue to spread rumors amongst themselves for a few more moments then slowly disperse.

Berost deeply says, "Or twistin it ta his own end."

Cryheart whispers something to Guarrin.

Balley softly says, "Very interesting."

Speaking to Berost, Leafiara agrees, "Also possible."

Preparations

Lady Alendrial just arrived.

Roelon deeply says, "Ah hope this man kin do what these people believe he kin do."

Balley softly says, "Things could go very wrong."

Alendrial says, "I thought they would never disperse."

Sonnillon raspily says, "Where did the crowd go."

Balley softly says, "Someone with the power of immortality."

Speaking softly to Roelon, Chandrellia says, "Me too."

Balley softly says, "I know someone who is seeking that."

Speaking amiably to Alendrial, Leafiara says, "Ah, Councilwoman. It's been quite a while since you've been out and about."

Alendrial nods at Leafiara.

Speaking earnestly to Alendrial, Leafiara exclaims, "Hope you're well!"

Speaking to Adalfuns, Mekimin says, "Well, the excitement seems over."

Speaking softly to Balley, Chandrellia says, "Yes so we must be on high alert."

Alendrial says, "It has been some time. We need to speak soon. After all, you'll need a new council member soon."

Leafiara curiously asks, "What brings you here tonight?"

Alendrial nods at Leafiara.

Leafiara nods understandingly at Alendrial.

Leafiara says, "Ah, of course..."

Alendrial says, "I've been doing the work of two."

You nod understandingly at Alendrial.

Alendrial says, "Fortunately, Beldrin did little. So the bar was set low."

Speaking to Adalfuns, Mekimin asks, "What do you think? Immortality?"

Sonnillon raspily asks, "Where did they get all the blood?"

Leafiara sympathetically says, "That does explain a lot. All around."

Adalfuns says, "I think you're foolish."

Speaking agreeably to Alendrial, Leafiara says, "We'll definitely meet as soon as you'd like. I wouldn't wish double paperwork on anyone."

Leafiara flashes a quick grin.

Mekimin exclaims, "You round-ears are so short-lived! I figured you'd be at least interested!"

Alendrial says, "However, tonight I'm here because..."

Alendrial points at a faded circle of smeared blood along the side of Moot Hall.

Speaking to Adalfuns, Mekimin says, "Like gerbils."

Alendrial says, "We've received a letter with a request."

Speaking to Alendrial, Shinann asks, "You have heard of him?"

Alendrial says, "Not until the other night, no."

Shinann nods.

Speaking softly to Alendrial, Chandrellia says, "Nice artwork huh? We thought we would add a bit of color while waiting for the Mayor's office to get done."

Cryheart asks, "A request?"

Alendrial nods at Chandrellia.

Leafiara cautiously says, "I'll admit, considering the last time we received a letter, it came with a bleakstone statue, it might make some a little antsy."

Leafiara earnestly says, "But, please, go on."

Alendrial says, "The good news is, the new mayor's office should be ready to unveil by early next week. Finally."

Gutstorm drunkenly says, "My shtatchoo....."

Gutstorm grunts sadly, a small tear forming in the corner of his eye.

Chandrellia mutters bouttime.

Alendrial says, "But, this letter states that 'the Blood Son is coming.'"

Alendrial says, "Surprise, I know. But there is more."

Prendoss raspily asks, "What's going on, friends?"

Balley softly says, "Oh."

Gutstorm drunkenly says, "Mebbe da letter wrong en he already here."

Balley softly asks, "What does it say?"

Alendrial says, "It seems an entourage of sorts is travelling with him."

Balley softly says, "Of course there is."

Leafiara says, "Considering the rumors, that's to be expected."

Alendrial says, "And the request has been made to allow for safe settling of tents near the town when he arrives."

Cryheart asks, "More charlatans?"

Berost deeply says, "No."

Speaking softly to Alendrial, Chandrellia asks, "What do we know of this group with him anything? Just followers of his skills?"

Berost deeply says, "Easy."

Leafiara asks, "Tents? To... work his healing in?"

Alendrial says, "And some accomodations for the people, such as food, drink."

Prendoss raspily says, "So this pertains to the guest who arrived the other night..."

Guarrin asks, "How..many?"

Speaking to Cryheart, Fahlo says, "I think they prefer professional snake oil salespeople.."

Dillitink squeakily says, "Sounds like a cult to me."

Leafiara slowly asks, "...how big is this entourage?"

Alendrial says, "I believe he is seeking temporary shelter and nourishment for his travellers."

Alendrial says, "He did not specifically request for tents."

Alendrial says, "Merely safe space to settle. Perhaps they bring their own."

Speaking softly to Alendrial, Chandrellia says, "But how many are we talking, we are still recovering from the attacks from Vylshandra and her little cronies."

Leafiara asks, "So would a stay at the Wayside be acceptable?"

Cryheart says, "I would suggest the militia guard keep an eye out on him and his entourage."

Alendrial says, "I am not sure. We will need to prepare for a variety of options."

Alendrial nods at Cryheart.

Speaking to Leafiara, Fahlo says, "Looks like they got Thrak's already marked out."

Leafiara says, "If they're only looking to camp in the wilderness, that's outside our jurisdiction, so there's no approval for us to give or deny."

Cryheart nods at Alendrial.

Miraalor deeply says, "It seems there is no immediate threat. I will therefore return to my training."

Berost deeply says, "Put em near a warcamp, see if he kin heal."

Speaking to Fahlo, Leafiara says, "You raise a good point that maybe his followers who already live in town would be willing to take in his people."

Alendrial says, "The letter ended by saying the Blood Son would arrive and hold a Revival on the Eve of the Huntress."

Cryheart exclaims, "Great Kai!"

Speaking to Cryheart, Guarrin whispers aloud, "Fairly certain he's sitting this one out."

Prendoss raspily exclaims, "Eep!"

Speaking to Alendrial, Leafiara professes, "I don't see that we need to go out of our way to provide lodging for them. Either his followers will cover it, they have their own tents, or, if all else fails, they can stay at the inns like anyone else after discussing this with us in person."

Speaking to Prendoss, Reissa exclaims, "Go be gross somewhere else!"

Alendrial nods at Leafiara.

Cryheart says, "Hopefully he is keeping a watchful eye on that one."

Leafiara nods appreciatively at Alendrial.

Speaking softly to Alendrial, Chandrellia asks, "One more question?"

Alendrial asks, "To me, it read as if he intended to declare they wished to dwell near the town, or within, but wanted to ensure some measure of, safety?"

Alendrial shrugs.

Speaking softly to Alendrial, Chandrellia says, "Where were they last seen, I assume a group this large would have eyes on them from different places."

Alendrial says, "If they are peaceful, of course we'll provide the same respect."

Fahlo says, "It can be a bit dangerous outside the gates at times."

Leafiara skeptically says, "He's said to grant immortality, but they want safety. Curious."

Sonnillon raspily says, "Maybe he is a lich."

Reissa says, "I'm trying to think of all the immortal people I know... and I have to say, I find the claim dubious."

Viva asks, "Perhaps they are travelling to get away from something which threatens them?"

Speaking softly to Sonnillon, Chandrellia asks, "One is enough don't you think?"

Alendrial shrugs at Chandrellia.

Leafiara admits, "This is a tough logistical problem when we don't know their numbers, but.."

Prendoss raspily says, "Unending life? Sounds fanciful."

Balley softly says, "Yes."

Reissa exclaims, "Also, sneezing on people is REALLY GROSS!"

Reissa grumbles at Prendoss.

Alendrial says, "I do not know if his following numbers a dozen, or a hundred."

Prendoss removes a moth-eaten dark purple kerchief from in his viper skin cloak.

Prendoss raspily asks, "Do you need to borrow this?"

Prendoss waves a moth-eaten dark purple kerchief at Reissa.

Alendrial says, "There is plenty of wide open land between here and what was once Talador."

Raelee tiredly says, "... then send out a scout."

Shinann says, "We will be watching them, but I will not ask my people to guard them without knowing much more."

Speaking to Alendrial, Calael asks, "Can we say no?"

Alendrial nods at Raelee.

Alendrial says, "A wise idea. Something we used to rely on the orc for."

Speaking to Shinann, Leafiara asks, "Can we at least agree to put a halt to any immediate attacks against them if they're peaceful?"

Speaking softly to Calael, Chandrellia says, "It is not our call, in the end it is the Mayor's call."

Alendrial asks, "Captain, have you a good scout?"

Alendrial peers quizzically at Shinann.

Shinann agrees with Leafiara.

Leafiara nods appreciatively.

Speaking to Alendrial, Shinann says, "Several."

Alendrial nods.
