Synopsis

In the late afternoon, Mayor Thadston says he'll find Commander Sablo in the evening and have words with him, then sends a chair flying out his window.

A few hours later, burly mountain roltons and goblins appear around the Landing, followed by an attack including roa'ters, golems, and more on the kobold mine and village. A few people report that Gnul wanted the iron from the mine but the kobolds refused to help.

After the attacks are staved off and the night grows calm, Thadston calls for Sablo again and this time gets a response. Just as Sablo arrives at Moot Hall, Sir Guarrin asks him if he's confirmed the identity of Captain Bodohal and Sablo says he is who he says he is, but adds that it's peculiar his ship is equipped as it is. Magister Raelee follows up by asking if he could also confirm the legitimacy of his mission or veracity of the rumors that one of her colleagues is in Bodohal's hold, but Sablo is unaware of the mission and can't speak to the rumors.

Thadston marches down to confront Sablo over the fire lure that drew them close to town and jeopardized the people; also, he didn't issue permission to fire the pylon at a mountain and Sablo won't touch Landing pylons again without his involvement.

Sablo says there's always risk and his plan was effective, but Thadston says that's the justification of a soldier, not a Commander, and to go to learn to be one without jeopardizing the people. However, Sablo says not to lecture him on his duty after Thadston turned his nose at his.

Thadston counters that Earl Jovery asked him first and had groomed him on purpose while Sablo was an accident. Sablo says maybe Jovery knew Thadston would turn him down and just "threw an old dog a bone" while knowing he wasn't fit after losing his wife to Raznel, losing his son to Raznel and Chaston Griffin, and couldn't even die properly. Thadston headbutts him and says he'll pop Sablo's head like a baby griffin if he mentions his wife and son again, then, before leaving, warns one last time not to jeopardize the Landing's people.

Sablo declines healing, saying he doesn't need it, but needs an ex-knight to revisit his roots and bring his ferocity to the battles ahead. As Archious comments on how Sablo will take from the Landing what it wants when it needs, Sablo says Lord Elidal is preparing a reply to Archious' letter regarding the Dhe'nar and the Obsidian Tower. He (Sablo), Magister Enisius, "the exotic one in the forest," and soon Lady Aronia are the ones who advise Elidal; the latter will arrive this week with the Green Sisters.

Some people like Guarrin, Chandrellia, and Councilor Vaemyr challenge Sablo's lack of civility, saying it will make cooperation difficult, but Sablo and Leafiara respectively imply and say that clearly it won't since everyone worked with him last night to destroy the hatchery. Vaemyr says fuses will burn if Sablo keeps being confrontational, but Sablo says the confrontation came to him and Vaemyr should mind his own yard.

Marshal Stormyrain offers militia members to help Sablo's scouts seek Gnul's forge for the upcoming next move, namely Puptilian and Asben, and Sablo says he'll look forward to it.

Highlights

Commander Sablo just arrived.
[Realm] Yukito thinks, "No offense, but I'm going to take a few steps back in case a mountain of muscle and rage comes flying at you."
Speaking to Leafiara, Pukk says, "With us no longer on the council we won't have to worry about having to get the chairs replaced."
Speaking to Pukk, Kiyna says, "That's Pookia's job, now."
Speaking to Kiyna, Vaemyr says, "They are all pink chairs now..."
Sablo says, "My skin is thick. You can throw your endless jabs and comments and smirks and insults and threats all you want."
(Kelfyr glances at Sablo's facial wounds.)
Kelfyr says, "Not that thick."
Speaking to Sablo, Vaemyr says, "Honestly any soldier in your position so far could of done the same, be bait, reckless, fight monsters. That still is not leading people. Of course we are going to work to defeat threats like the Griffins were to us, and to strike the forge too. But the longer you choose to be confrontational, the shorter fuses will burn."
Vaemyr says, "I don't want to see what happens if that fuse burns to nothing."
Vaemyr says, "I really don't."
Sablo says, "I will remind you, I stepped into this square, spoke not a word, and the confrontration came to me.
Sablo says, "Mind your own yard Councilor Vaemyr, before you speak of the color of mine."
Speaking to Sablo, Leafiara says, "He's going to keep posturing while inevitably working with you anyway."
Sablo shrugs.
Vaemyr glances at Leafiara.
Sablo begins chuckling at Leafiara!
Sablo says, "He is not the first politician I have dealt with. They are a monster of their own kind."
Speaking to Vaemyr, Leafiara says, "Prove me wrong if I'm wrong."
Speaking to Sablo, Vaemyr says, "Perhaps you shouldn't come to our "yard" then."
Sablo says, "How cooperative of you."

Log

Much Earlier in the Day...

[General] Thadston asks, "Where the hell is Sablo?"

[General] Kayse thinks, "Probably the settlement."

[General] Chamorr thinks, "Hopefuly he sat on his dagger."

[General] Chamorr thinks, "Suns still up, what are you doin up."

[General] Irval asks, "Probably at the encampment, Problem Mister Mayor?"

[General] Thadston thinks, "No, he isn't, I asked around. Maybe he's off eating griffin guts."

[General] Thadston thinks, "I'll find him tonight. We've words to have."

There is a loud shattering of glass as a chair goes flying through a window of the second floor of Moot Hall. Shards of glass scatter to the ground like icicles, and the chair lands with force that breaks it apart, causing it to snap into useless, splintered remnants. Standing at the open, airy window of Moot Hall, Mayor Thadston nods approvingly to the destruction below, then turns and disappears into his office.

A Few Hours Later

[Burly mountain roltons and goblins appear around the Landing, then a loud racket of cackles on the Old Mine Road alerts people to an attack on the kobold mines and, later, the kobold village. One or two people report that the kobolds have refused to join Gnul's alliance after he wanted access to the iron in their mine, so he's going after them.

This conflict goes on for several hours in myriad locations before the skirmishes finally end.]

Awaiting Sablo

[General] Elliathe thinks, "Ah and here is the snow."

[Realm] Guarrin thinks, "Seems quiet." [This was essentially an "all clear" after the prior invasion.]

Saraphenia asks, "So why are they attacking US and not the Empire?"

Leafiara says, "Mystery of the ages."

Leafiara says, "They seem to think we're siding with the Empire."

[Realm] Kisun thinks, "Yea, a little too Raph.."

A heavy curtain of snow descends from the sky.

Leafiara says, "And apparently today's attack was because the kobolds refused to help the stone alliance."

[They're currently wandering the kobold mines.]

Leafiara says, "Okay, maybe everything was cleared out..."

Saraphenia asks, "Good grief...so those hobgoblins were their leaders?"

Leafiara says, "I'm... unclear on that."

[General] Citan thinks, "Well... it seems for now the catacombs may be safer for entry... but always proceed with caution."

Leafiara asks, "The kobolds and hobgoblins might have been working together?"

Leafiara says, "Hmm, but the goblins and roa'ters were with Gnul..."

Leafiara says, "Honestly, I'm not sure on those hobgoblins."

[General] Kisun asks, "Does any warrior want around 35 grifflet pelts for a sheath or a harness?"

Saraphenia says, "The goblins were wearing cloaks...I've never seen that before."

[Town Square Central]

This is the heart of the main square of Wehnimer's Landing. The impromptu shops of the bazaar are clustered around this central gathering place, where townsfolk, travellers, and adventurers meet to talk, conspire or raise expeditions to the far-flung reaches of Elanith. At the north end, an old well, with moss-covered stones and a craggy roof, is shaded from the moonlight by a strong, robust tree. The oak is tall and straight, and it is apparent that the roots run deep. You also see a black-toed saddleback foxhound, a massive snowy white tiger, the driftwood Roelon disk, a silver-tinged dark grey sprite with long fingers, the Stormridden disk, the crab-shaped Rasson disk, a silver-tipped smoke grey wolf, the Kelfyr disk, a grizzled porcupine, the driftwood Nalver disk, the Futz disk, the gauze-bound Malvadere disk streaked with crimson bloodstains, an inlaid leather grimoire soaring around with its gilt-swept ethereal violet pinions, a great white wolf, the Vaemyr disk, the Stormyrain disk, the Guarrin disk, the Randsford disk, the Diablic disk, the web-draped Missoni disk, a lazy wild dark red dog, a yellow-eyed silvery lor mandrake with glossy holly leaves sticking out of her head, the Phereclese disk, the flaming Nairena disk, a thin-fingered dark grey tarsier, the mist-hazed Asthenea disk, the Pukk disk, the Shork disk, a small spot-tailed hawk that is flying around, the Fionola disk, the Elliathe disk, a masked owl, the Emperia disk, a large acorn, the Yardie disk, a pale-faced coppery barn owl, a white flask, a large acorn, a brostheras potion, a large acorn, some woth flower, some torban leaf, some aloeas stem, some aloeas stem, some woth flower, some aloeas stem, the Eggars disk, a crimson scabbard, the Snowhulbe disk, a large acorn, a large acorn, a tarnished anklet, a solid moonstone cube, a drake mace, an owl feather, some wide stone benches with some stuff on it, an herbal remedy donation bin and a round silver-banded barrel.

Also here: High Lady Saraphenia, Event Planner Leafiara, Jurist of Eye Leifa, Lord Kezoku, Roelon, Stormridden, Dame Evia, Avalera, Rasson, Kerl, Kelfyr, Sarellia who is sitting, Nalver, Futz, Malvadere, Lord Diablic, Stormyrain, Town Councilor Vaemyr, Town Councilor Kiyna, Hospitaller Yukito, Town Councilor Kayse, Perigourd, Sir Cryheart, Bernadette, Citan, Missoni, Lord Randsford, Sir Guarrin, Phereclese, Lady Nairena, Asthenea, Kisun, Tikba, Pukk, Shork, Magister Raelee, Milfunway, Fionola, Lady Elliathe, Lady Emperia, Blade Yardie, Eggars, Snowhulbe, Andromalius who is sitting

Speaking to Leafiara, Yardie says, "It went to charity, Leafiara." [Yardie had bet her 25000 silver that she would return to help despite her insisting this wasn't her battle. About two weeks later, she returned to help... ...the settlers, not the Landing, but on a technicality she considered this enough to have to pay up the blood money of a traitor.]

Pukk recites:

"Everybody join Cryheart!"

Speaking to Yardie, Missoni says, "You killed a parrot in a zoo. I defended a city."

Asthenea softly asks, "Why?"

Asthenea softly asks, "What we doin?"

Speaking to Missoni, Yardie says, "A parrot was set free, not set on fire and crushed in an egg."

Speaking to Asthenea, Nairena says, "Hopefully not dying."

Speaking to a pale-faced coppery barn owl, Leafiara says, "Owly, I'm sure you'll be careful, but do watch out: the latest Imperial commander loves killing birds."

Kezoku asks, "There more golems and stuff out there?"

The coppery barn owl hoots at Leafiara.

Speaking to Missoni, Yardie says, "Do you see a body? I see no body. But I see griflet parts all over."

Cryheart says, "I think it has slowed down."

Speaking to Yardie, Perigourd says, "There's quite a difference between griffins in the wild, and those being raised, trained, and put to hurt other innocents."

Stormyrain offers, "Last I knew, Owly was not running around grabbing up citizens and settlers and killing them. Yet."

Speaking to Leafiara, Pukk says, "I heard that too. Kinda sick."

Leifa comments, "Haven't had to troll the catacombs in a while."

Speaking to Yardie, Perigourd says, "Gnul's way of using them was not in any way natural."

Speaking to Yardie, Missoni says, "I will tell the people of this town you would like to see them swooped up and killed, then."

[Realm] Yukito thinks, "Those were not benevolent, just minding their own business beings. They were actively attacking the city. I, for one, do not want to deal with griffon season this side of the spine. Let Illistim deal with that. They are not extinct."

Roelon deeply says, "Ah need to lay off the absinthe ..."

Malvadere softly says, "Ouch."

Speaking to Missoni, Yardie says, "Madame Missoni, there are other options. Other tactics. You will not pin the idea of wanting townspeople murdered on me."

Roelon deeply says, "This is better."

Leifa says, "Mmmm."

Yardie says, "And on that note, I am off to bed."

Speaking to Yardie, Leafiara says, "Also, you had already told me that."

Speaking to Yardie, Missoni says, "Sometimes one makes difficult choices."

Speaking to Roelon, Stormyrain says, "I approve."

Speaking to Yardie, Leifa says, "Staying up late to drink is a bad choice, you're right, but some of us have to make it."

Tikba mildly says, "You may sleep well knowing that nobody will be devoured by griffins while you rest."

Missoni grimly says, "War is rarely tidy."

Speaking incredulously to Missoni, Yardie asks, "I was scolded for doing just that in Mist Harbor. Tell me, how am I different? How is this different? What bird's head did we step on?"

Speaking to Yardie, Missoni says, "I cannot really compare the situation to Mist Harbor, as I do not know that situation."

Yardie says, "On second thought, I'm too tired for this. I'll be elsewhere."

Speaking to his dead baby penguin, Pukk says, "No, you are safe with me. I won't let anything happen to you."

Speaking to Yardie, Elliathe says, "I will see ye tomorrow."

Evia feeds a pale-faced coppery barn owl a bite of her cinnamon muffin.

Evia exclaims, "Muffin!"

Speaking to Elliathe, Yardie says, "8 Elven. I have the black nail polish ready for you."

Evia says, "If Owly needs another muffin, the're on the stand."

The voice of Yardie mutters, "And then they get at me when I call it the Landfill."

Cryheart says, "Moving easterly."

Pukk exclaims, "This way!"

Leafiara says, "Wonder why they're going east... no sign of the mayor yet."

Leafiara says, "Guess they're just preparing."

From nearby, you hear Pukk yell, "Owly, keep watch in TSC for us! Protect the healers!"

Saraphenia asks, "You know, I can't believe that innocent baby griffins got killed last night! Full grown griffins are one thing, but babies??? eggs?? How are THEY a danger??"

[General] Thadston asks, "Sablo, you done with your nightly blood bath yet?"

Leafiara says, "Ah, there's the mayor's thoughts now."

[General] Cryheart thinks, "Good evening mayor Thadston."

[Town Square, East]

Here in the center of a broad plaza near the commercial area of the bazaar stands the impressive facade of the slate-roofed Moot Hall, where the citizens of Wehnimer's Landing hold various official, religious and social functions. Facing the square are some of the town's more prosperous shops, still doing business with the many customers who still frequent the streets at night. You also see a ruby-inlaid eelskin grimoire flying around with its feathery wings, an inlaid leather grimoire soaring around with its gilt-swept ethereal violet pinions, a great white wolf, the skull-shaped Irval disk, a thin-fingered dark grey tarsier, a frost-covered yellow-eyed silvery lor mandrake, the web-draped Missoni disk, the Randsford disk, the flaming Nairena disk, the Elliathe disk, the Pukk disk, the Diablic disk, the crab-shaped Rasson disk, the Stormridden disk, the driftwood Nalver disk, the Vaemyr disk, the Stormyrain disk, the Guarrin disk, the Shork disk, the driftwood Roelon disk, a lazy wild dark red dog, the Kelfyr disk, a large purple wooden barrel, a blanket of snow, a black imperial wagon with a glowing blue-white pylon on it, a silver-inked ivory parchment nailed to a wall outside of Moot Hall and a dark green wreath with Imaera's lace hanging from the doors of Moot Hall.

Also here: High Lady Saraphenia, Event Planner Leafiara, Town Councilor Kayse, Bernadette, Conquerer of Reim Irval, Nalver, Dame Evia, Kisun, Roelon, Stormridden, Rasson, Lord Diablic, Stormyrain, Town Councilor Vaemyr, Town Councilor Kiyna, Hospitaller Yukito, Perigourd, Citan, Missoni, Lord Randsford, Sir Guarrin, Lady Nairena, Tikba, Pukk, Shork, Lady Elliathe, Sir Cryheart, Magister Raelee, Kelfyr, Drektor

[General] Vaemyr thinks, "Evening Mayor."

[General] Leafiara thinks, "He's never done."

Tikba says, "The chair was put out by the Mayor, I fear."

Tikba says, "Put right out the window and into the square."

Rasson says, "Watch for chairs when he acts like a toddler."

Speaking to Leafiara, Elliathe asks, "Do you happen to have any extra popcorn?"

Speaking to Tikba, Saraphenia exclaims, "If I were the mayor and I heard about innocent lives being taken, I'd have thrown something out the window too!"

Suddenly coming to life, the whiskered vulpine face on Citan's pauldron says to Saraphenia, "You, madam, are an infectious, krolvin-sympathizing rabbit-sucker!"

Pukk recites:

"Everybody snuggle Leafiara!"

Speaking to Elliathe, Leafiara says, "...yes, especially since I'm not in the mood."

Leafiara offers Elliathe some salty popcorn.

Elliathe accepts Leafiara's salty popcorn.

Speaking warmly to Leafiara, Elliathe says, "Thank ye."

Kiyna whispers something to Kayse.

[General] Sablo thinks, "Mayor, you seem ruffled."

Citan recites deeply:

"Titan Brew..!

Get some Titan Brew here!

Yes, citizens! Titan Brew!

It's the latest and greatest stout to hit the lands.

It'll help you relax from one end of the sqaure to the other.

It's outstanding!

It's amazing!

Get on the bandwagon!

Pour keg and Chug this Brew with both hands!"

[General] Pukk thinks, "You missed the opportunity to say somebody ruffled his feathers...."

[General] Irval thinks, "Thats what he said..."

Speaking to Pukk, Vaemyr says, "Ok... I snickered at that one."

Pukk says, "It's never too late to add humor to a already horrible situation."

Speaking to his baby grifflet, Irval exclaims, "Fly!"

Pukk says, "Except where Irval is concerned...then..it's too late."

Bodohal's Identity

Commander Sablo just arrived.

Speaking to Sablo, Vaemyr says, "Evening."

Speaking to Sablo, Nalver says, "I was trying to talk to you."

Cryheart says, "Evening Commander."

Sablo peers quizzically at Nalver.

Sablo says, "Eve."

Sablo turns an inquisitive ear toward Nalver.

Elliathe says, "Good eve, Commander."

Sablo asks, "I am listening?"

Sablo peers quizzically at Nalver.

[General] Pukk thinks, "Thaddy...Sablo is here outside of Moot Hall."

Citan deeply says, "Quite the brawl in the catacombs."

Speaking to Sablo, Nalver asks, "Do you know why the mayor is looking for you?"

Sablo looks up at the second floor of Moot Hall, where cold air still blows in through a shattered window.

Vaemyr says, "My guess is Thadston might want to meet in the council chambers? More chairs and windows there."

Tikba noncommittally says, "The Mayor seems dissatisfied."

[General] Pukk thinks, "If you throw a chair out the window you might be able to hit him."

[Realm] Yukito thinks, "No offense, but I'm going to take a few steps back in case a mountain of muscle and rage comes flying at you."

Speaking to Sablo, Irval says, "Yah he couldnt find you earlier and that was the result."

Speaking to Sablo, Guarrin asks, "Before your discussion begins. Any word regarding the matter with the Captain?"

Speaking to Sablo, Vaemyr says, "Thadston is a big supporter of the glass and furniture industry in town you gotta understand."

Vaemyr says, "Guarrin's question is pretty important aye."

Speaking to Leafiara, Pukk says, "With us no longer on the council we won't have to worry about having to get the chairs replaced."

Speaking boredly to Pukk, Leafiara says, "Yeah, yeah..."

Speaking to Pukk, Kiyna says, "That's Pookia's job, now."

Speaking to Sablo, Saraphenia growls, "What the hell is wrong with you, killing innocent baby creatures?? Full grown creatures, I can understand, but what the hell did babies and eggs EVER do to you??"

Sablo twists slightly, cracking his spine. He looks much better.

Speaking to Kiyna, Pukk says, "Lord help us all."

Speaking to Kiyna, Vaemyr says, "They are all pink chairs now..."

Sablo peers quizzically at Saraphenia.

Irval asks, "Grow into big griffins?"

Sablo begins chuckling at Saraphenia!

Tikba mildly asks, "Would it have been better to kill the parents and leave the children to starve?"

Saraphenia raises an eyebrow in Sablo's direction.

Sablo says, "Because you both have wings, does not make you kindred spirits."

Sablo nods at Saraphenia.

Irval says, "Probably enhanced flow magic to stimulate growth for shorter adolescense."

Evia asks, "You know, all their mums and dads were killed outright, who do'ya think was going to tend them in the nests anyway? friendly stonemen?"

Saraphenia shakes her head.

Sablo says, "A child with a blade prepared to cut your throat, is no less of a threat than the man next to him with an axe and the same intentions."

Nalver says, "I have an idea..."

Saraphenia clenches her jaw.

Speaking to Evia, Vaemyr says, "Not all the adults were slain, but without their nest they will most likely return to their original habitat to nest."

Leafiara says, "Sounds good, let's go start murdering children now too."

Sablo asks, "One might pause to disarm that child, send him scattering away. A baby griffin?"

Pukk says, "Depends on the age of the child and how well he is trained...can he walk or is that child stuck in the house."

Sablo says, "Hardly the same."

Kelfyr asks, "Is there an answer to Guarrin's question coming?"

Speaking to Vaemyr, Evia says, "Quite right."

Sablo says, "It would grow to kill your townspeople."

Speaking to Leafiara, Stormyrain says, "Rooks have that covered, historically."

Speaking mildly to Leafiara, Tikba asks, "Which children did you have in mind?"

Sablo nods at Guarrin.

[Realm] Yukito calmly murmurs, "It is short-sighted to allow an invasive animal species - that does not belong here - to settle. Who knows what repercussions that would bring."

Speaking to Stormyrain, Leafiara says, "And for some reason people complain about that one too."

Speaking to Leafiara, Stormyrain says, "Rysus was the worst of the leaders to do that, but not the first or last I'd wager."

Nalver says, "We send our best trackers and hunters across the spine to get a cart full of griffon feathers. Then we pick someone, probably someone rude who kills babies, and we tar them. Then we toss the feathers on them, cut their tongue out, and tie them to a horse and send that horse out east. Let the griffons follow them while they wail."

Elliathe quietly says, "At times like this I am glad to be a healer. I do not have to make these choices, I merely focus on the wounded and dead..."

Speaking to Stormyrain, Leafiara says, "I didn't argue otherwise."

Stormyrain says, "I was just commenting."

Stormyrain says, "Since there are many opinions being thrown about this night."

Sablo says, "I am only partially shocked."

Speaking to Leifa, Nalver says, "I've seen this town tar and feather people before. Just not with griffon feathers. It'd be an event, for sure."

Speaking to Sablo, Pukk says, "You might have some feras on you then."

Speaking to Irval, Emperia says, "Would you dispose of that thing already? Playing with it like that is in poor taste."

Speaking to Stormyrain, Evia says, "My opinion is, you're a tremendous asset to the community."

Sablo says, "The fact the death of baby griffins, at the expense of saving innocent townspeople, is even an issue is..."

Sablo says, "Remarkable."

Speaking to Emperia, Irval says, "Its an interesting specimen."

Citan deeply says, "I'll gladly take the tarring if it means to lure out the enemy."

Speaking slowly to Emperia, Stormyrain says, "He's completely covered in bones? Of lots of things."

Speaking to Sablo, Saraphenia asks, "I still think that killing innocent life is wrong! Especially when you grab it up, toy with it, crush it in your hand and beneathe your boot! How would you like it if I crushed YOU beneathe MY boot??"

Speaking to Sablo, Pukk asks, "No, but did you have to stomp on their head just to watch the brains come out after the chick was already dead?" Tikba looks less calm and refreshed than a moment ago.

Sablo says, "You are welcome to try."

Leifa retorts, "Baby griffin, partially shocked...?"

Sablo nods at Saraphenia.

Vaemyr says, "The griffins had to be dealt with, they would of not only continued to cause harm as part of Gnuls forces, but also eventually started to cause great harm to the ecosystem around us, destroying livestock and other animals, causing food shortages, then they would attack people for food as well. They needed to be removed, and this was the only method to do so in a timely fasion. Anyone who wishes to complain, surely can, but for every day we wasted to try and think of another way, more people in this town died. I don't regret things at all."

Speaking firmly to Sablo, Elliathe says, "There is a difference between protecting the town, even proactively, and... what comes after. Smashing babies that are already corpses is offensive to some, yes."

Sablo says, "Captain Bodohal is who he says he is."

Sablo nods at Guarrin.

Kezoku asks, "Violence, how novel, is there something productive to talk about?"

Speaking wryly to Evia, Stormyrain says, "If only everyone felt that way. But thank you."

Erienne whispers something to Leifa.

Speaking to Sablo, Saraphenia exclaims, "You did the SAME thing that the Kiramon did to my sister you bastard!"

Irval asks, "It was eggs. Would you leave massive arachnae nest and not kill the eggs?"

Leifa whispers something to Erienne.

Speaking to Sablo, Guarrin says, "Very well."

Sablo says, "It is peculiar he would have a ship as...equipped as it is, but I won't begin to understand."

Citan deeply says, "Well... knowing is half the battle... The other is most of the time extreme violence."

Tikba evenly says, "Gnul wishes to destroy us. I would prefer to destroy him."

Evia asks, "Someone tap me when we get to the important matters of life and death amongst the peope, hmm?"

Speaking to Sablo, Missoni asks, "Why is it peculiar?"

Sablo says, "If you heard me, amongst all of this squawking."

Sablo nods at Guarrin.

Sablo says, "Yes, I said squawking."

Speaking to Sablo, Kayse prompts, "Equipped in what way?"

Sablo says, "It's louder than a hatchery here."

Speaking to Sablo, Guarrin says, "I did. As Missoni mentioned, I am wondering what is peculiar about it."

Speaking to his baby grifflet, Irval says, "Yep, not squawking... oh you mean..."

Speaking slowly to Sablo, Raelee says, "His identity may be accurate, but that does not actually answer the core question."

Erienne whispers something to Leifa.

Speaking to Sablo, Raelee says, "That being... the legitimacy of his mission."

Sablo says, "I am not aware of that."

Sablo shrugs at Raelee.

Sablo says, "That would take more time."

Leifa whispers something to Erienne.

Speaking to Sablo, Raelee says, "As information gathering often does."

Pukk says, "I'm torn here...I don't like this Imp that loves stomping dead chicks....but his humor I like..."

Sablo nods at Raelee.

Sablo says, "He is of the Bluewater Brigade, hails from Brisker's Cove."

Kayse amusedly says, "I find it funny everyone is condeming the Commander and Irval hasn't stopped fondling his grifflet corpse since last night."

Speaking slowly to Sablo, Raelee suggests, "... such as the veracity of the rumors that he has one of my colleagues in his hold."

Sablo says, "His ship seems a bit higher caliber than one I might expect, but truthfully, my perspective is likely not accurate."

Speaking to Kayse, Leafiara says, "We've been condemning him for months now over a variety of things."

Speaking to Kayse, Pukk says, "Well when you put it that way.."

Speaking to Irval, Pukk says, "You sick sick person."

Sablo says, "I'm sorry, I can't speak to any of those rumors."

Sablo nods at Raelee.

Speaking to Kayse, Elliathe asserts, "It's disgusting."

Speaking to Sablo, Raelee echoes, "Time."

Tikba murmurs, "Condemned to death, in fact, on at least one occasion."

Speaking to Pukk, Irval says, "Takes one and all that."

Leifa comments, "My dog loves grifflet legs."

Sablo asks, "Now, is this matter settled? With the griffins?"

Speaking to Sablo, Guarrin says, "Thank you for looking into his position, that is useful."

Speaking to Irval, Pukk asks, "It was the arrow wasn't it? Did you get the arrow head out when it hit?"

Guarrin nods firmly.

Speaking to Kayse, Elliathe says, "It could also potentially spread disease carrying decaying corpses about the town."

Speaking to Pukk, Irval asks, "Maybe?"

From the broken window above, Thadston appears. He looks down to the ground, nods, then walks out of sight.

Speaking to Sablo, Kiyna says, "As much as it can be in this din."

Pukk exclaims, "Jump away from Sablo!"

Sablo twists slightly, cracking his spine. He looks much better.

Earthdiver says, "Didn't jump out the window."

Speaking to Kayse, Stormyrain whispers aloud, "And I'm out of whiskey."

Leafiara says, "The mayor's appearance makes that answer probably a no."

Vaemyr says, "Shall we go meet with Thadston? or think he's comin down."

Speaking to Stormyrain, Sunwu says, "I got mor'n a little on me if ya need."

Speaking slowly to Stormyrain, Kayse says, "You have an unlimited supply."

Thadston vs. Sablo

Mayor Thadston just came marching in.

Stormyrain offers, "I'm quite sure he is on the way down."

Speaking to Stormyrain, Kayse corrects, "Now *I* am out of whiskey."

Tikba lightly says, "I expect he will be here soon enough...Mayor."

Sablo nods at Thadston.

Speaking to Thadston, Vaemyr says, "Mayor."

Speaking to Thadston, Pukk says, "Oh. I thought for sure you were going to drop the table on him."

Thadston asks, "What in the HELL were you thinking Sablo?"

Speaking to Thadston, Evia says, "Good to see you mayor."

Sablo furrows his brow.

Speaking to Thadston, Pukk says, "Probably wanted to make some scrambled eggs."

Irval says, "Evening Mister Mayor."

Speaking to Stormridden, Stormyrain offers, "Whiskey is better."

Irval says, "I wont say good. Because that window has clearly seen better days."

Thadston says, "I was okay with your plan to hunt the griffin hatchery..."

Sablo asks, "Then what is the issue?"

Speaking to Stormyrain, Stormridden says, "Nothing beats a cookie."

Thadston says, "Your smoke. Your fire. Whatever the hell that was. Next to our town? Jeopardizing our people? They attacked the town. Citizens were injured."

Thadston says, "Wehnimer's Landing is not bait for your wilderness games."

Evia asks, "And yet, the Rooks who set fires on our very roofs were not even given a warning of their criminality?"

Citan deeply says, "Once again.. I think the culling of the hatchery was a necessary move.... Better we do it then the Illoke raise them."

Citan deeply says, "I mean... My opinion."

Speaking to Thadston, Saraphenia stammers, "Y-you were in favor...of ending innocent lives??"

Sablo says, "There is always risk, which exists more and more each night those griffins were allowed to take the sky. Those eggs would have hatched within a week, and even more terror taken to the skies."

Archious nonchalantly remarks, "He is only here to play soldier. He bathes in blood every night."

Speaking to Elliathe, Leafiara says, "I take it back, I'm in the mood after all."

Speaking to a huge orange cat, Irval asks, "Mongo!?"

Speaking to a fluffy white cat, Tikba murmurs, "Good evening."

Randsford whispers something to Roelon.

Thadston says, "No, that's the justification of a soldier, not a leader."

Thadston says, "Not a Commander."

Sablo asks, "You are not a Commander, are you?"

Thadston clenches his jaw.

Leifa whispers something to Kezoku.

Speaking to Sablo, Kayse counters, "He has experience and he is a leader of our town."

Thadston says, "Not anymore. And the pylon? I never issued permission to fire it at a damn mountain."

Sablo says, "It was effective."

[Realm] Yukito soothingly thinks, "The citizens were urged to seek shelter. The casualties were low."

Thadston says, "It was reckless."

Sablo says, "It was effective."

Thadston glares.

Thadston says, "You won't touch our pylons again. Without my explicit involvement."

Irval asks, "Recklessly effective?"

Sablo asks, "Your pylons?"

Speaking to Guarrin, Evia asks, "Perhaps we should direct them to the Pugilism Ring?"

Speaking to Evia, Guarrin says, "I would not encourage them."

Thadston says, "Now go learn to be a leader. This is not the northern wilds. This is not the spear of Hendor. There are people here."

Missoni whispers something to Evia.

Citan deeply says, "Would be quite the show I think."

Sablo says, "You turned your nose at your duty Thadston, do not lecture me on mine."

Thadston laughs!

Thadston asks, "You know Jovery asked me first, right?"

Thadston asks, "Everyone knows that, right?"

Thadston gazes in wonder at his surroundings.

Missoni carefully says, "I believe that is what he meant."

Speaking to Sablo, Vaemyr says, "I don't speak for the Mayor, but I personally believe he DID choose his duty when he turned that offer down."

Sablo glances at Vaemyr.

Thadston says, "You are just a speck of what I was, and what I am. You're like the second child born to provide organs should mine fail. I was on purpose. Jovery groomed me. You were an accident."

Thadston nods at Sablo.

Thadston says, "Now learn to become a Commander, without jeopardizing our people."

Sablo says, "Perhaps he knew you would thumb your nose at his offer, but threw an old dog a bone."

Speaking to Leafiara, Pukk says, "You need to start eating your popcorn now...it's starting to get good."

Perigourd says, "This is not befitting for either of you to measure one man against the other. Perhaps unify your purpose and take this angst out towards Gnul."

Citan deeply says, "I concur."

Sablo says, "Perhaps he knew you were not fit after you lost your wife to Raznel. You lost your son to Raznel. You couldn't even protect him against Chaston. You couldn't even die properly." [I assume the last is in reference to Thadston more or less dying in the Bleaklands from the explosion caused by using his kroderine gauntlet to close the portal and stop creatures from reaching the Landing. In some mysterious way, he was salvaged by the bleakwalker that took host within him.]

Ulfwine says, "Well, then."

Cryheart says, "I agree, gentlemen, we need to work together, not at each other's throats."

Cryheart says, "The enemy is Gnul."

Speaking to Sablo, Guarrin says, "That is uncalled for."

Nairena says, "Went straight for the family."

Thadston lurches forward, slamming his head into Sablo's, sending blood splattering from the Commander's face and Sablo stumbles back, but merely flinches, grinning as blood seeps down from his swollen nostrils and down over his lips.

Tikba diplomatically interjects, "May we return to the topic of the pylon?"

Missoni says, "Unkind."

Speaking to Kayse, Archious says, "This one will cause more blood than any of the others."

Irval says, "Ok gentlemen, we've adequately measured our swords. This I dont think is the time for this. I think anymore and this could become very uncomfortable especially the people of this town."

Irval says, "Too late."

Thadston says, "Mention my wife and son again, I'll pop your head under my boot like a baby griffin."

Kelfyr says, "Earned that one."

Thadston says, "Do not jeopardize our people again. Ever."

Mayor Thadston just entered the Moot Hall.

Matters of Civility

Sablo licks the blood from his lips.

Nairena exclaims, "This is a boulder challenge!"

Tikba offers Sablo a rose-marrow potion.

Sablo declines Tikba's offer.

Nalver says, "I had a better idea."

Drektor suggests, "Get em a healer."

Sablo says, "I do not need a healer..."

Yukito offers Sablo a spotless indigo batiste napkin.

Saraphenia exclaims, "Now THAT was government in action!"

Speaking to Sablo, Nalver says, "I still think we should tar and feather you."

Nalver says, "Just saying."

Citan deeply says, "Or the ice house."

Speaking to Sablo, Guarrin repeats, "Uncalled for. His points have merit as well."

Sablo says, "I need an ex-knight to revisit his roots, and bring that same ferocity to the battles ahead."

Speaking to Roelon, Randsford says, "At least we have not yet resorted to striking our own." [Roelon and Randsford are from Icemule.]

Speaking to Sablo, Saraphenia exclaims, "Commander whatever you are, I should tear your throat out and make you eat it!"

Speaking deeply to Randsford, Roelon says, "Yet."

Tikba says, "If you sought the Mayor's ferocity, you may have found it."

Sunwu says, "Think it'd just fall outta th' hole if ya did that."

Sablo says, "I would deserve it, Saraphenia. But not for the hatchery."

Sablo says, "There's far more things that you can lay at my feet."

Speaking lightly to Tikba, Kayse says, "It is not hard to do, to be fair."

Speaking to Tikba, Nairena says, "Im sure would be laid out cold if the mayor really tried."

Irval says, "Stop! Everyone this is not going to fix anything if we keep casting stones at one another . We need to put our differences aside and address the threat."

Saraphenia raises an eyebrow in Sablo's direction.

Evia says, "Throats are too gristley."

Speaking to Sablo, Leafiara says, "Of that I've absolutely no doubt."

Kelfyr says, "It might help not to revel in it, then."

Irval says, "Trust me, Ive a recent experience with stones."

Sablo says, "I did not come here to win your hearts and minds, and fancy dance about telling you how grand your ballgowns are, or how astonishing the light plays along the gilt rims of your teacups."

Speaking to Irval, Pukk says, "And arrows."

Sablo says, "I came to win wars, and settle this land."

Speaking to Pukk, Irval says, "And arrows..."

Sunwu asks, "Has he *been* here before?"

Sablo says, "I came to fight monsters."

Speaking to Irval, Pukk says, "So I guess you can say sticks and stones..."

Citan deeply says, "I think the majority agree here eh..... We need to look at the threat at hand."

Speaking to Sablo, Guarrin says, "You are going to need people for that."

Avalera says, "Clearly not."

Avalera nods at Sunwu.

Sablo says, "Whether they wear rags or tabards."

Kelfyr mutters, "Would tear down the mountains to rule the rubble."

Speaking to Sablo, Guarrin continues, "And you will not win them over that way."

Tikba murmurs, "Or ballgowns."

Sunwu says, "Ballgowns and teacups.."

Irval says, "Guess so."

Speaking to Sablo, Saraphenia asks, "No, you came here to usurp the Landing and every other piece of land this side of the Spines! When do you move into IceMule??" [He doesn't respond to this, nor to Yukito's thought a few lines down, but Archious' responses to them end up prompting a response from Sablo to Archious, so bolding the entire line of conversation for clarity...]

Randsford whispers something to Roelon.

Speaking to Saraphenia, Archious says, "Whenever the situation requires it, as when he appropriated the town's defenses."

Archious wryly says, "Surely such a thing will not occur again."

Sablo brings a finger to his nose, letting the blood seep onto it. He nods.

[Realm] Yukito asks, "Do the town defenses belong to the Mayor, or the town?"

Tikba mildly says, "It will not need to, since the hatchery is not there any longer."

Speaking to Guarrin, Leafiara says, "What are you talking about? He seems to be doing just fine winning people over since nearly every town defender and several from out of town were in with him."

Speaking to Sablo, Vaemyr says, "You are not making it easy to work with you. I believe Thadston is right that you need to learn a bit to lead, and others will follow. Right now you certainly know how to fight, and I know we need to work together to remove the threats that target our town... but you are not leading people to this, you are pushing them away."

Saraphenia exclaims, "Mr. Mayor, The Empire should NOT BE ALLOWED access to our town's defenses!"

Speaking to Sablo, Perigourd says, "As an aside, Gnul's forces were seeking ore in a nearby mine, which we hopefully prevented this eve. Perhaps your scouts can track them back to the forge they're using."

Speaking to Saraphenia, Evia says, "He is not here."

Sablo says, "I had heard the old cobbler knight of Llaestal's Guard had gone soft."

Sablo says, "I am very glad those rumors were false."

Speaking to Evia, Saraphenia says, "He was here a moment ago."

Sablo nods at Perigourd.

Speaking to Leafiara, Guarrin says, "I have no problem with the assault, but, Thadston does have a point regarding the pylon. Also, unecessary to treat the mayor that way."

Sablo says, "We are seeking his forge, yes."

Speaking to Sablo, Irval says, "That man is not the monster you seek to fight Commander."

Speaking to Guarrin, Leafiara says, "Yet his words won't change the mind of even one person who aided last night, I'd bet."

Archious wearily says, "They will take what they want from you when they need it. I cannot believe that this has escaped your notice."

Sablo says, "I have no intention of fighting Thadston."

Sablo nods at Irval.

Sablo glances at Archious.

Speaking to Sablo, Irval says, "Alright, well you could of fooled me with that bit about his wife."

Speaking to Sablo, Saraphenia asks, "How about me, Commander??"

[Realm] Pukk thinks, "Bernadette is in charge of the town ballistas...if anybody breaks one...they will have to answer to her...good luck."

Speaking to Sablo, Kayse asks, "You provoked him on purpose?"

Sablo says, "Ah, the Dhe'nar. Lord Elidal has mentioned you."

Sablo nods at Archious.

Speaking to Sablo, Nalver asks, "What about leading your people somewhere less hostile?"

Nalver says, "Seems prudent."

Speaking to Sablo, Irval says, "That was poor form."

Archious says, "Oh he got my letter."

Sablo says, "I did not provoke him on purpose, but neither did I refuse to allow his words to stand unanswered."

Speaking to Leafiara, Saraphenia says, "So he's gonna ignore me now..."

Sablo nods at Archious.

Speaking to Sablo, Guarrin says, "They did seem to be focused on the mines today."

Nalver says, "It is late."

Speaking to Saraphenia, Leafiara says, "It's a loud crowd, don't worry about it."

Sablo says, "It's my understanding Lord Elidal is preparing a reply. He sought my advice on some of it."

Sablo nods at Archious.

Sablo says, "I told him truthfully."

Irval asks, "And what was it you told him?"

Tikba delicately asks, "You told him truthfully what?"

Pukk whispers something to Saraphenia.

Speaking to Sablo, Archious says, "I can guess your advice. I watch you revel every night."

Sablo says, "That is between me and Lord Elidal."

Sablo nods at Irval.

Kiyna says, "Of course it is..."

Archious says, "He would relish the opportunity to test himself against us."

Irval says, "Fair enough."

Sablo says, "I am not the only one who offers my advice."

Sablo says, "There is his brother, and the exotic one in the forest, and soon Lady Aronia when she arrives with the other Green Sisters."

Speaking to Archious, Kelfyr says, "They didn't bring him here to be a diplomat, surely. One asks for his advice when they want a specific sort of answer."

Speaking to Sablo, Stormyrain asks, "Do you know when the Sisters will arrive?"

Tikba dubiously quotes, "Exotic?"

Sablo says, "This week."

Speaking to Tikba, Vaemyr says, "The Sylvan Seer."

Stormyrain nods slowly.

Speaking to Sablo, Kayse inquires, "What do you know about the 'exotic' one?"

Speaking to Sablo, Saraphenia exclaims, "Why don't you just pack up all those settlers, yourself, the whole kit and caboodle, and go back to the Empire? Get out of here and leave us alone!"

Sablo shrugs.

Speaking to Saraphenia, Archious says, "They will never leave."

Archious says, "Count on it."

Citan deeply says, "I wouldn't wanna see no one uprooted like that.. I mean they did just get here...."

Sablo asks, "She is strange, I have heard her speak little, but she is...desirable?"

Speaking to Saraphenia, Nairena says, "That time has long passed."

Sablo says, "I understand why the Lord brought her with him."

Kiyna can offer Sablo only a blank expression.

Kayse can offer Sablo only a blank expression.

Perigourd scratches at his beard.

Missoni looks rather confused.

Elliathe blinks at Sablo.

Tikba looks thoughtfully at Sablo.

Yukito raises an eyebrow.

Sablo asks, "What word would you have me use?"

Speaking to Sablo, Vaemyr says, "We've heard a bit about her, but if what we've heard is true, she can see glimpses of the future."

Sablo asks, "Will you accost me now for that too?"

Speaking to Sablo, Perigourd says, "Attractvie, I think you mean."

Speaking amusedly to Sablo, Kayse says, "I was more so surprised you said anything regarding that."

Stormyrain amusedly says, "Desirable is different than attractive."

Speaking to Sablo, Elliathe asks, "I do hope I misunderstood that comment and you do not value the worth of the woman based on their percieved 'beauty'?"

Speaking to Sablo, Kayse says, "Do you know anything about the magic she knows? I have heard whispers of her being a witch."

Sablo says, "I am still more man than monster, despite what Saraphenia thinks."

Speaking in Sylvankind, Kelfyr says something you don't understand.

Speaking to Kayse, Perigourd muses, "Many witches about though."

Sablo shrugs at Kayse.

Elliathe says, "Or rather desirability."

Missoni frets, "What is wrong with being a witch."

Tikba wryly says, "It is not the most surprising of your word choices, to be sure."

[Realm] Yukito thinks, "It is fine to be admired. So long as the suitor minds their hands."

Speaking to Perigourd, Kayse says, "It's a valid and important question."

Speaking to Perigourd, Raelee offers, "It is a fairly broad category."

Speaking to Chandrellia, Leafiara offers, "Popcorn?"

Sablo says, "I do not. I am likely better off not knowing. Promises of the future can be misleading."

Citan deeply says, "Indeed... alot of witches appeared earlier....Feras they all carried."

Speaking to Leafiara, Chandrellia exclaims, "Perfect!"

Speaking to Kayse, Perigourd inquires, "Brambles?"

Speaking to Leafiara, Pukk says, "Oh, you offer her some."

Leafiara offers Chandrellia some salty popcorn.

Pukk says, "I see."

Evia says, "Just when I imagined things would quiet down."

Chandrellia accepts Leafiara's popcorn.

Speaking to Sablo, Kiyna says, "After your stunt with the baby grifflet, I don't wonder how you came to possess your moniker."

Leafiara offers Pukk some salty popcorn.

Pukk exclaims, "Oh you shouldn't have!"

Pukk accepts Leafiara's popcorn.

Speaking to Leafiara, Chandrellia says, "Deeeeelightful."

Sablo says, "I do not question her intentions, or Lord Elidal's, but, the battlefield is one of truths, that is where I prefer."

Speaking to Perigourd, Kayse asks, "Is your mind guarded with magic like the others in the settlement?"

Speaking to Sablo, Kayse says, "That was for you."

Sablo asks, "Stepping on a dead grifflet, turns your stomach so?"

Sablo peers quizzically at Kiyna.

Speaking to Kayse, Perigourd says, "Hard to say, I've not had it checked."

Sablo says, "You would not survive in many other places little one."

Speaking to Kayse, Perigourd says, "More likely guarded by yo-yos."

Speaking to Sablo, Saraphenia exclaims, "You ARE a monster! You deserve everything disasterous coming down on your head! The Baron will fall because of you!"

Sablo nods at Kiyna.

Speaking to Perigourd, Kayse says, "You should be guarding your mind, but once again--not for you."

Speaking to Sablo, Chandrellia says, "Oh look it the baby killer."

Nairena says, "You get to face your enemy on the battlefield."

Speaking to Sablo, Randsford says, "It is not the act of crushing but your lack of decency."

Speaking to Kayse, Perigourd asks, "To hide what?"

Speaking to Perigourd, Kayse says, "Not to hide to protect."

Sablo says, "If the Baron falls, it will be because his good nature far outshines the good nature of everyone else around him."

Speaking to Irval, Nairena asks, "You named it yet?" [He'd been playing with his dead baby all night.]

Pukk says, "I'm just waiting for another arrow to fly out from the shadows at Irval."

Speaking to Kayse, Perigourd says, "I expect I've come more than enough folk who could break through a majority of mental protections over the years."

Speaking to Nairena, Irval says, "Floppy."

Sablo says, "But that is why I am here. To protect against monsters in the wilds, and daggers in the dark."

Citan deeply says, "Twins."

Perigourd corrects, "Come across that is."

Speaking to Sablo, Saraphenia exclaims, "Trust me, I use no daggers. I am unarmed as you can see!"

Sablo says, "Both mentally, and physically."

Sablo nods at Saraphenia.

Speaking to Sablo, Kiyna says, "I've bathed in my fair share of entrails in Grimswarm warcamps. It's not the viscera that bothers me, but your delight in smearing it around."

Saraphenia gawks at Sablo.

Sablo begins chuckling at Kiyna!

Speaking to Kiyna, Pukk says, "Well said."

Sablo says, "None of this delights me."

Kelfyr says, "Nonsense."

Sablo says, "Do not lecture me on that which I find pleasure in."

Sablo nods at Kiyna.

Speaking to Sablo, Chandrellia says, "Could have fooled me last night."

Speaking to Sablo, Kiyna says, "You could have fooled me."

Leafiara amusedly says, "Uh-huh."

Pukk says, "Wow. All at once."

Speaking to Sablo, Chandrellia asks, "Or was that just a show for the masses?"

Sablo asks, "Would it matter?"

Sablo peers quizzically at Chandrellia.

Evia says, "Judgemental bunch..when it suits the agenda."

Speaking to Sablo, Pukk admits, "No, no it wouldn't."

Speaking to Sablo, Chandrellia says, "Sure, it would show you at least have some compassion for the young that live around here."

Sablo says, "My skin is thick. You can throw your endless jabs and comments and smirks and insults and threats all you want."

Sablo nods at Chandrellia.

Speaking to Sablo, Ulfwine says, ""It woud not, they would find something else to hector you about."

Speaking to Evia, Kezoku says, "Like we're not a bunch of monsters ourselves really, we all hunt for a living mostly."

Speaking to Chandrellia, Nairena says, "Maybe it was blood lust. He still had so much pent up anger that the poor dead baby griffen needed to be squashed."

Leifa admits, "Honestly, I do not understand the concern for a dead bird."

Sablo nods at Stormyrain.

Stormyrain inclines her head.

(Kelfyr glances at Sablo's facial wounds.)

Kelfyr says, "Not that thick."

Speaking to Sablo, Chandrellia says, "Is it now? so I guess that just makes it all ok, perhaps Gnul will say the same when he kills the childeren of the settlement, or perhaps even attacks our own orphanage."

Sablo says, "This is war, and you are not my enemy, and you will not bleed me with words."

Sablo says, "I am not sorry my actions have offended you. I am sorry you are made of silk and not steel."

Tikba evenly says, "I am sure we will all be there to protect the orphanage, if Gnul comes for it."

Speaking to Sablo, Saraphenia asks, "You want to find out just how silky I am??"

Speaking to Sablo, Chandrellia says, "Your actions, as you so say, affects every peson, *and* citizen of this town, like the settlement we have young children that have been misplaced due to these attacks and yet it seems you welcome it."

Sablo says, "No, you are not desirable."

Sablo nods at Saraphenia.

Speaking to Sablo, Saraphenia exclaims, "The only thing you have earned of me is my fists and feet!"

Speaking to Sablo, Vaemyr says, "Know that words can help create quite sharp daggers pointed at people where perhaps there wouldn't have been before. I think Elidal knows this, you might be wise to learn that lesson as well. And no this is not a threat, I have no wish for violence here nor in the future, but know that your words so far haven't helped cooperation between us, although I think that is quite evident by those around us."

Irval says, "She gonna show you some leg."

Evia says, "Sticks and stones."

Speaking to Sablo, Chandrellia says, "But enough idle chatter, go about talking about stomping on baby griffons and killing the unborn, it will come back ten fold."

Julenne softly asks, "Who?"

Sablo asks, "Have they not?"

Sablo peers quizzically at Vaemyr.

Vaemyr looks over at Sablo and shakes his head.

Alosaka asks, "I take it I missed the thanks and appreciation we offered to Commander Sablo for his successfully executed plan last evening to remove one of the decisive enemy forces assaulting our town?"

Randsford says, "So the empire shows what it is made of. Cold steel with no compasion. Instead of trying to win the masses you would rather the succumb to the cold reality of the would be conquerers. Accept them for what they are or face their steel."

Speaking to Sablo, Kayse says, "I do not appreciate your words towards the Mayor. BUT....." Kayse pauses a moment and her voice changes to a softer tone, "You followed through on actions after your words. Thank you."

Speaking to Alosaka, Perigourd says, "They're still taking place."

[Realm] Yukito thinks, "I'm curious... rather than screaming about what is past, and that cannot be changed or prosecuted... we have this man here that can tell us useful things."

Speaking to Alosaka, Guarrin says, "Discussions continue."

Tikba murmurs, "Some would prefer losing the war with decorum to winning it."

Sablo says, "I set the forest aglow last night. You raided a hatchery and smashed eggs and baby griffins. You are already anticipating our next strike against their forge, once discovered. I would say that is the definition of cooperation."

Sablo nods at Vaemyr.

Sablo says, "...and I did not need your buttery words."

Speaking to Vaemyr, Leafiara says, "Exactly as I mentioned to Guarrin earlier."

Speaking to Sablo, Stormyrain offers, "On that note, what do you see the next cooperative step being between our forces and yours?"

Sablo nods at Kayse.

Sablo bows to Kayse.

Kayse nods respectfully at Sablo.

Sablo says, "You asked for action, that is all I know Councilor Kayse."

Kayse reticently says, "And I will continue to ask for it. There is still an enemy threatening our town."

Sablo says, "We are seeking the forge, but our scouts are being more cautious."

Speaking to Stormyrain, Saraphenia says, "Laying down our arms so he can conquer the town and subjugate us all. That's his next step."

Sablo says, "I am afraid whenever it is located, it may be more dangerous and more guarded than the hatchery."

Stormyrain says, "I shall have a few of our militia members who scout join in the discovery, if you will have them. They know the area well. Puptilian comes to mind, as does Asben."

Vaemyr says, "I don't want to see what happens if that fuse burns to nothing."

Vaemyr says, "I really don't."

Irval says, "Well I can tell you where not to look. The bowels. One errant spark and that will set the whole place aflame."

Sablo says, "I will remind you, I stepped into this square, spoke not a word, and the confrontration came to me."

Sablo nods at Vaemyr.

Speaking to Sablo, Missoni asks, "Do you think it is near any of the locations we met their forces in this eve?"

Tikba mildly says, "People must choose for themselves how they wish to act and which fuses they wish to light."

Speaking to Sablo, Evia asks, "Welcome to the Landing?"

Sablo says, "Mind your own yard Councilor Vaemyr, before you speak of the color of mine."

Speaking to Sablo, Leafiara says, "He's going to keep posturing while inevitably working with you anyway."

Leafiara nods at Sablo.

Sablo shrugs.

Vaemyr glances at Leafiara.

Sablo begins chuckling at Leafiara!

Speaking to Sablo, Alosaka says, "You'll discover we are quite liberal with praise and adulation in this town."

Sablo says, "He is not the first politician I have dealt with. They are a monster of their own kind."

Tikba wryly says, "As long as he continues to work with you."

Speaking to Vaemyr, Leafiara says, "Prove me wrong if I'm wrong."

Speaking to Sablo, Vaemyr says, "Perhaps you shouldn't come to our "yard" then."

Speaking to Vaemyr, Perigourd asks, "Was he not asked?"

Sablo says, "How cooperative of you."

Sablo nods at Vaemyr.

Speaking to Leafiara, Pukk asks, "Is Gnul the rock guy?"

Speaking distractedly to Pukk, Leafiara says, "Yes."

Speaking to Leafiara, Pukk asks, "So all we need is a bunch of paper and we win right?"

Speaking to Pukk, Chandrellia says, "Sadly all we have are scissors so we will lose."

Parting Questions

Sablo says, "I suppose I'll extend the courtesy of...any additional questions? The hour is late, I am still but a human, and we've work to do in finding this forge."

Speaking to Sablo, Stormyrain says, "Just let me know where and when to send the militia members."

Sablo nods at Stormyrain.

Stormyrain inclines her head.

Sablo says, "Certainly, and I look forward to the cooperation Marshal."

Speaking to Sablo, Stormyrain says, "Likewise."

Kiyna says, "I have no questions. If anyone needs me, I'll be in my office."

Speaking to Sablo, Missoni says, "I would like to know, perhaps, if you believe the forge to be in any of the locations we fought in this evening. The kobold mines, or the dirt mines..."

Speaking to Sablo, Saraphenia exclaims, "You don't need a forge!"

Sablo says, "I witnessed some of your militia first hand in the forest last night. They are impressive. Be careful I don't hire them away to the Darkstonian Army."

Sablo begins chuckling at Stormyrain!

Stormyrain grins at Sablo.

Sablo says, "I am only slightly kidding."

Speaking amusedly to Sablo, Stormyrain offers, "You are free to try, but you'll have to go through me."

Speaking to Sablo, Evia asks, "I was curious to know, whether there are elders amongst the settlers, or are they mostly youthful?"

Speaking to Sablo, Guarrin asks, "Any news on the arrival of the next caravan?"

Speaking wryly to Sablo, Tikba says, "You would need to offer them more than what they receive here in the Landing."

Archious says, "First your pylons, then your soldiers..."

Sablo says, "Both."

Sablo nods at Evia.

Nairena says, "Darkstonian army sounds weird."

Earthdiver asks, "Darkstoner?"

Sablo says, "More elders are set to arrive after the long bite of winter."

Sablo says, "Along with Lord Elidal's parents, they will come with the new year."

Nairena says, "Darkstone is perfect."

[General] Pukk exclaims, "This just in! Sablo confirms that he is going to strip the town of its militia and leave us without their protection!"

Speaking to Sablo, Evia says, "I shall offer prayer for their comfort in a strange...and I mean really strange, land."

[Realm] Yukito asks, "Will we need to prepare anything to ease their journey after they arrive?"

Alosaka says, "We will welcome them as warmly as we welcome all guests."

Speaking to Alosaka, Tikba murmurs, "Hopefully not."

Pukk says, "So good."

Speaking amusedly to Alosaka, Leafiara says, "For their sake, they'd better hope not."

Sablo begins chuckling at Alosaka!

Speaking to Sablo, Stormyrain asks, "Yukito would like to know if we need to prepare anything to ease their journey after they arrive?"

Sablo asks, "Prepare...what?"

Evia says, "Oh darn."

Tikba asks, "Socks, perhaps?"

Speaking to Sablo, Perigourd says, "The elders in the caravan, he means, I believe."

Missoni offers, "Sweaters, maybe?"

Speaking to Alosaka, Leifa asks, "So murder and judgment, not necessarily in that order?"

Speaking to Sablo, Saraphenia exclaims, "I promise you this, Commander, at some point, you and I are going to dance!"

Sablo says, "You are still not desirable."

[Realm] Yukito thinks, "Elders might need more protecting. They cannot move quickly."

Sablo nods at Saraphenia.

Sablo asks, "Warm clothing? Listening to their tales?"

Speaking exasperatedly to Saraphenia, Pukk says, "First you want to kill him and now you want to dance! You should make up your mind."

Citan deeply asks, "A waltz or the jitterbug?"

Sablo says, "I am not sure what they will need."

Kayse wryly asks, "You can still dance with someone you don't find desirable. Pity dance?"

Sablo shrugs.

Sablo asks, "Legs?"

Sablo peers quizzically at Yukito.

Sablo asks, "Do you not speak?"

Yukito frets.

Yukito looks over at Sablo and shakes his head.

Speaking to Sablo, Perigourd says, "With his mind."

(Yukito taps his temple.)

Speaking to Sablo, Stormyrain says, "He was communicating in thoughts."

Speaking to Sablo, Guarrin introduces, "This is Hospitaller Yukito."

Speaking to Sablo, Perigourd says, "And his heart."

Speaking to Yukito, Evia says, "Warm socks and shoes."

Sablo asks, "No healer has reformed your tongue?"

Sablo peers quizzically at Yukito.

Yukito blinks at Sablo.

Irval says, "He signs."

Speaking to Sablo, Missoni says, "He is a healer."

Sablo says, "A...healer? Who cannot..."

Speaking to Sablo, Elliathe asks, "Truthfully do you actually *try* to be offensive, or is it a natural talent?"

Sablo says, "I see."

Stormyrain says, "Some of us do not need to yap in order to be understood."

[Realm] Yukito thinks, "I am not certain how to answer, and it is not as important as the matter at hand."

Yukito bows.

[Realm] Yukito thinks, "Pardon my distraction there."

Speaking to Yukito, Stormyrain says, "You are not a distraction, now or ever."

Yukito smiles at Stormyrain.

Tikba murmurs, "Indeed, for some no amount of yapping will help."

Sablo asks, "I am a soldier. I am not a fool, I know my edges are as sharp as my tomahawks, but if you cannot withstand truths and mere words, how do you even exist?"

Citan deeply says, "I just like that some can understand me sometimes."

Speaking to Sablo, Stormyrain says, "I believe Yukito was asking if the elders would need more protection since they move slowly."

Sablo moves to stand in front of Yukito.

Yukito beams happily at Stormyrain!

Yukito blinks at Sablo.

Yukito cocks his head.

Yukito smiles.

Sablo loudly says, "I will gladly accept your help with some of the caravan settlers."

Sablo nods at Yukito.

Yukito nods politely at Sablo.

Yukito bows to Sablo.

Speaking to Sablo, Kayse sighs, "He can hear just fine...."

Speaking politely to Sablo, Tikba corrects, "He hears perfectly well."

Speaking to Leafiara, Saraphenia says, "I'm going to the house."

Speaking to Sablo, Stormyrain growls, "He can hear just fine."

Speaking to Sablo, Pukk asks, "But even a soldier knows when to swing their sword, when to parry and when to sheath it right?"

Speaking to Emperia, Saraphenia says, "Come with me..."

[Realm] Yukito warmly thinks, "It comes with time. If he will be assisting us, he will learn all of our... quirks."

Yukito grins.

Speaking to Sablo, Vaemyr says, "Ok... I'm gonna get it for this but... apologies for some of what I said, I don't wish to make tensions worse. The threat of the griffins is gone, and hopefully if we take out their forge their siege weapon production will be severely hindered. After that I guess we'll see where things go next."

Speaking to Sablo, Kayse says, "Yukito communicates very well with his thoughts and gestures. Pause for a moment and you may learn something from him."

Sablo says, "Seven hours later, congratulations..."

Vaemyr leans against the Moot Hall.

Sablo nods at Vaemyr.

Speaking to Sablo, Leafiara says, "See, he did an about face from his earlier stance in less than twenty minutes."

Speaking to Leafiara, Vaemyr says, "You can let me have it later..."

Sablo says, "Because I am not wrong."

Speaking airily to Vaemyr, Leafiara asks, "Why wait?"

Leifa whispers something to Kezoku.

Speaking lightly to Sablo, Tikba says, "I congratulated you last night."

Sablo says, "I am many, many things at times, but rarely am I wrong."

Speaking to Leafiara, Vaemyr says, "Maybe I'll explode myself and sit here too..."

Earthdiver asks, "Was something not successful about last night?"

Archious says, "Ah, to be so young."

Speaking to Vaemyr, Pukk says, "Now you are trying to get her all hot and bothered..."

Speaking to Vaemyr, Leafiara says, "You already blew up yourself up twice the other night, I heard."

Sablo says, "If there is nothing else..."

Speaking to Vaemyr, Kayse says, "Do we just kill ourselves now when we make a mistake or are disappointed with ourselves. Seems rather weak."

Citan deeply asks, "If the nest would not have been found ... we would still be worrying about what's flying over our head's correct?"

Sablo says, "I'll leave before the torches are fully lit."

Evia says, "Let there be nothing else."

Tikba soothingly says, "You must simply offer your own view."

Delyorik says, "The hell did I just walk... nevermind..."

Sablo nods at Citan.

Speaking to Sablo, Nairena says, "Have a good rest, commander."

Speaking to Sablo, Stormyrain says, "You haven't arrived until the townsfolk come for you with lit torches and jeers."

Speaking to Sablo, Tikba says, "Good night, Commander."

Kezoku whispers something to Leifa.

Speaking neutrally to Sablo, Archious says, "I do hope you at least advised Elidal to speak with me."

Speaking to Sablo, Ulfwine says, ""Fair evening, Commander."

Sablo says, "Goodnight."

Speaking to Sablo, Vaemyr says, "Have a safe trip back to the encampment."

Speaking to Sablo, Perigourd says, "Fair eve."

Sablo says, "I did."

Speaking to Sablo, Pukk says, "If you stay a little longer you might be warmly welcomed by a mob of people with torches."

Sablo nods at Archious.

Irval says, "Night Commander Sablo."

Missoni cheerfully wishes, "Rest well."

Speaking to Kayse, Vaemyr says, "No..."

Speaking nonchalantly to Citan, Leifa says, "I'm personally glad to have the skies safe." Speaking to Sablo, Kayse wishes, "Fair evening."

Sablo says, "I suspect he will speak with you by week's end."

Sablo nods at Archious.

Citan deeply says, "Indeed."

Speaking to Pukk, Delyorik asks, "People still use torches?"

Citan deeply says, "Not as much poop to worry about falling."

Speaking to Delyorik, Pukk says, "And pitch forks."

Sablo turns around.

Sablo leans forward.

Sablo wipes something off of his boots.

Sablo says, "Grifflet blood, a pain to remove."

Sablo nods.

Sablo nods.

Commander Sablo just marched off to the north.

Discussion Afterward

Nairena says, "Hes growing on me."

Tikba muses, "I find holy water does the trick."

Elliathe asserts, "Clearly that man cannot see anything beyond All Things Battle."

Speaking to Nairena, Kezoku says, "Me too I admit, a little."

Speaking to Elliathe, Ulfwine says, ""It is what he is here for."

Speaking to Kayse, Vaemyr says, "But you are right, I'll live with my choices, and try to do better next time."

Stormyrain says, "I have scouts to prepare."

Speaking to Elliathe, Tikba says, "Indeed, he would be very poorly suited for a diplomatic position."

Speaking to Kayse, Leafiara says, "A mistake... a mistake... such a soft word for someone like me who's gotten away with the blood of a thousand Landing citizens on my hands."

Speaking to Elliathe, Alosaka admits, "He is a military commander."

Delyorik says, "I have..."

Speaking to Elliathe, Archious says, "They have their uses, as long as you can keep them pointed in the right direction."

Delyorik says, "Anyway..."

Tikba says, "It is fortunate that he was not selected for one."

Leafiara says, "But we keep doing what we can get away with, I suppose."

Speaking to Leafiara, Pukk says, "That's because you are the Rook queen. We all love you."

Speaking to Alosaka, Chandrellia says, "Hes a joke."

Speaking to Ulfwine, Elliathe says, "Yet there is a difference between doing what is necessary, and reveling in blood."

Speaking evenly to Leafiara, Kayse says, "You weren't the only one to help the settlers the other night. And they came into our town and helped us too."

Speaking to Pukk, Leafiara says, "No, it's because of Vlashandra, Grishom Stone's blood cult, and more."

Speaking to Chandrellia, Alosaka suggests, "He has also delivered us our greatest victory in the campaign against Gnul."

Speaking to Elliathe, Sunwu says, "It's that last part that's always th' trickiest."

Speaking to Pukk, Leafiara says, "People we should have killed, could have killed, didn't, and cost our citizens' lives."

Irval exclaims, "And for the conclusion!"

Speaking to Irval, Nairena exclaims, "Put that away!"

Speaking to Alosaka, Chandrellia says, "You call killing unborn griffons a victory? you, crack, me up."

Irval exclaims, "A flying dead baby grifflet!"

Speaking plainly to Leafiara, Tikba says, "You must kill them, then."

Speaking to Leafiara, Vaemyr says, "That's why I don't regret destroying the Griffins, not even in the slightest."

Speaking to Tikba, Leafiara says, "I needed to but didn't. That's my failing."

Speaking to Chandrellia, Pukk says, "Ha! I see what you did there....breaking eggs...cracking you up..."

Speaking to Archious, Elliathe says, "I, like ye, watch this as an observer. I do fear what becomes of the North."

Irval says, "Ok a falling one."

Vaemyr says, "I'm going to my office for a bit..."

Speaking to Elliathe, Archious says, "It will be consumed like everything else, when they "need to expand."."

Speaking to Chandrellia, Alosaka says, "They are, ultimately, animals. They do not have the same moral standing as people, and neither do unhatched grifflets."

Speaking politely to Leafiara, Tikba says, "There is always time to correct our mistakes, always more opportunities to seize."

Nairena says, "I was drawn indoors away from what took place last eve."

Archious adds, "If Enisius does not unmake creation first."

Leafiara says, "Some of you are so far gone that I can spend two and a half years costing hundreds of citizens their lives on at least three separate occasions and not hear a word of condemnation or criticism from anyone but myself."

Speaking to Archious, Elliathe says, "Tis what I fear, yes."

Speaking to Chandrellia, Alosaka says, "Anyone who has ever eaten an egg has done the same."

Chandrellia says, "Careful of any lingering eggshells from last nights, *victory."

Speaking to Alosaka, Chandrellia says, "Not for pleasure as you lot did last night."

Speaking to Leafiara, Pukk says, "Yes. Pretty much."

Speaking to Leafiara, Alosaka says, "I've learned to weigh people's intentions when I judge them."

Speaking to Pukk, Leafiara says, "The condemnation only comes when we do something right, not when we do something wrong. Evil, even."

Nairena says, "Its easy to analyze and comment on a battle, afterwards. But a commander or leader hands out orders and hopes those orders yield positive or successful results."

Speaking to Wolfloner, Pukk says, "You missed all the good stuff. There was an invasion in the kobold village."

Speaking to Leafiara, Alosaka asks, "Did you intend to cause the mass deaths of innocents?"

Speaking evenly to Chandrellia, Tikba says, "Whatever Sablo did, I did not kill the grifflets for pleasure. I did it to protect my people."

Speaking to Alosaka, Leafiara says, "I knew Vlashandra was bad news the moment she showed up with her creepy Raelee face and failed to assassinate her. Not following my intuition means I sent those citizens to their deaths myself."

Speaking to Chandrellia, Alosaka notes, "Many people enjoy eating eggs."

Nairena says, "I need ale."

Kiyna says, "Noisy... if anyone wants to talk in a more quiet place, as before, I'll be in my office."

Speaking to Alosaka, Leafiara says, "I could go on for the cult of Grishom Stone worshippers too, or others."

Speaking to Tikba, Elliathe asks, "Aye, but ye are not waving around a coprse, are ye?"

Speaking to Alosaka, Leafiara says, "I'm the very heart of evil in this town and no one will say a thing about it."

Speaking to Leafiara, Alosaka says, "I'm not in a good position to say things about Vlashandra."

Alosaka says, "Except that many people were taken in by her ruse."

Speaking to Elliathe, Tikba agrees, "It seems unnecessary."

Speaking to Tikba, Chandrellia says, "Going after the adults is fine, but the unborn ones was a step to far in my book, of course I am sure there are enough mentalists within the town to know without a second thought that every griffin born will surely attack the entire town without provocation."

Speaking to Alosaka, Leafiara says, "I wasn't one of them. I knew we needed to kill her and failed to act."

Speaking to Leafiara, Alosaka asks, "Well, let me ask this. What purpose does this self-effacing guilt serve now?"

Speaking to Alosaka, Leafiara says, "I need the wake-up call."

Speaking to Alosaka, Leafiara says, "And you need to realize I'm not your ally."

Speaking to Leafiara, Alosaka says, "Fair enough."

Leafiara says, "You in a general sense."

Archious says, "You know, I have said the same."

Speaking to Leafiara, Alosaka says, "Yet, you are a citizen of this town, so I have an obligation to you nevertheless."

Leafiara says, "I won't accept spin even if it favors me."

Speaking to Chandrellia, Tikba says, "Sablo believed that destroying the nests would weaken Gnul and drive the griffins away. I believe it, too, or I would not have acted as I did."

Speaking to Chandrellia, Tikba says, "If it is wrong, we will know it in time. But it was better to act, then wait."

Speaking to Pukk, Leafiara admits, "That felt good."

Nairena says, "There is no point is arguing over this anymore. Whats done is done."

Elliathe says, "Well, I just worry where Sablo will want to point your pylons next."

Speaking to Elliathe, Leafiara says, "Thadston did say no more of that without his oversight."

Speaking to Elliathe, Archious says, "Ah, now there is a question worth asking."

Tikba wryly says, "You need not fear. He is forbidden from pointing the pylon in future."

Alosaka says, "If, in the end, it is written that everyone involved in the drama that was the Landing at the time of the Empire's arrival did what they felt was most good according to their convictions, then we as a town will have behaved honorably and right."

Leafiara says, "Of course, Sablo will bypass it by using the Hendoran outpost pylons instead."

Nairena says, "Sablo got the job done."

Elliathe says, "Thankfully."

Speaking to Tikba, Chandrellia says, "And you dont feel that Gnul will find a way to come back stronger? to reciprocate against us for this? as I said earlier what if he targets our, childeren, the Weelington Home, what then? oh I know, everyone will demand revenge, so the circle will never break."

Speaking to Alosaka, Tikba says, "That is well said."

Speaking to Leafiara, Elliathe asks, "Oh, there are others of these things?"

Speaking to Elliathe, Archious says, "You would shudder to know the kinds of magical trinkets that are in circulation."

Speaking to Tikba, Alosaka says, "Even a blind squirrel, as the saying goes."

Speaking to Elliathe, Leafiara says, "Yes, the Empire of course has its own."

Kayse says, "We have more in town as well."

Elliathe muses, "That does seem like the case."

Leafiara says, "Honestly, I wouldn't be surprised if at some future point a caravan brings pylons too."

Alosaka says, "Many of us have advocated for it."

Sunwu exclaims, "It's a tactical embarrasment that they didn' bring 'em to start!"

Speaking to Archious, Elliathe says, "I shall have to learn more of such matters."

Speaking to Alosaka, Leafiara says, "I'm sure you have."

Nairena says, "Everything he does, his leader ordered him to do, what the landing folks did, will all be evaluated after this war is over and Darkstone has its land."

Speaking to Nairena, Archious asks, "Just following orders, then?"

Speaking to Leafiara, Alosaka asks, "Forgive me, but we stand next to an Imperial pylon that has fired many times in defense of this town. Would you roll it into the bay, given the chance?"

Speaking to Chandrellia, Tikba says, "Gnul has been striking against us for weeks. He will be weaker at it now, his forces disheartened."

Speaking calmly to Chandrellia, Tikba says, "That is what I believe."

Speaking to Alosaka, Leafiara says, "It's not an Imperial pylon, it belongs to the town."

Alosaka glances at a black imperial wagon.

Speaking to Archious, Nairena says, "Yes and know. Lets just say I have a greater understanding of where hes coming from."

Speaking amusedly to Alosaka, Tikba says, "Money talks."

Leafiara says, "If it didn't belong to the town, Thadston couldn't restrict Sablo's use of it." [Now, to Alosaka's implied point, it being "a black imperial wagon" is interesting. I always just figured it was a wagon bearing hallmarks of imperial construction, in the same way one "a dwarven warblade" could be owned by a human.]

Wolfloner darkly says, "I noticed that those that invaded the hatchery are fond of waving around the corpse of baby grifflet."

Tikba says, "This pylon is paid for."

Tikba reaches out and pats a glowing blue-white pylon on a black imperial wagon.

Speaking to Nairena, Archious says, "Fair enough. I understand men like Sablo, we cultivate them in great numbers. We usually keep them leashed though."

Tikba says, "Now it is free."

Speaking to Tikba, Alosaka teases, "Just like us?"

Speaking to Wolfloner, Elliathe asserts, "I find it most distasteful."

Speaking to Tikba, Chandrellia says, "Now ask yourself, when did he starts attacking us? when we all recived a letter stating the Imperals were on their way and then the attacks got stronger when they decided to look heavy into the Reach and Darkstone, yet he wont say why, his and all teh settlers minds are shielded. But hey lets welcome them with open arms and do their bidding."

Tikba lightly says, "Perhaps less volatile than us."

Speaking to Archious, Nairena says, "The powers that be decided to unleash him and so far hes proven to be effective at completeing his task."

Leafiara says, "On the bright side, at least it got resolved that Captain Bodohal is exactly who he says he is. Not that this should be surprising."

Alosaka asks, "Oh, was that question answered?" [He hadn't arrived for the night yet.]

Speaking to Alosaka, Raelee says, "Not really."

Archious says, "One cannot argue with results."

Speaking to Wolfloner, Pukk says, "They are sick. They need some healing in the head. I'm lucky that I have my friend Bob. He talks me out of my depressed thoughts."

Speaking to Alosaka, Raelee says, "His identity is confirmed, his mission is not."

Speaking to Alosaka, Leafiara says, "What the Magister means is... Sablo confirmed Bodohal's identity and rank, not--"

Speaking darkly to Archious, Wolfloner asks, "The end justifies the means?"

Alosaka says, "He has violated his oaths then by attacking a protectorate."

Speaking to his dead baby penguin, Pukk says, "You need to stop sleeping so much."

Speaking flatly to Wolfloner, Archious says, "I do not care about the ends or the means of anyone here."

Nairena says, "Some can, but we can clearly see that he doesnt care what is thought about him."

Speaking to Chandrellia, Tikba says, "I will tell you that I had thoughts of my own on those lines before I met Mother."

Kelfyr asks, "Has he?"

Alosaka says, "We should demand justice from Elidal."

Kelfyr asks, "Who sent him here?"

Archious says, "Griffins, pylons, settlers. I just want them all to stay away from Sentoph."

Speaking to Nairena, Leafiara says, "In all fairness, good on him for that point."

Speaking to Chandrellia, Tikba says, "But they are only thoughts. Mother had no evidence to point to, and neither do I."

Speaking to Tikba, Chandrellia says, "I'm just saying, maybe people would have reacted different and been more open to help if he was honest with us all from the start, I mean how many people, screamed, at Leafi, myself, Pukk and Bear becasue werent, transparent, yet this stranger comes calling hiding things and its "hey this guy is cool, lets follow"."

Kelfyr says, "Violating the agreement and violating his oath are two separate things."

Speaking to Archious, Elliathe says, "And Glatoph and points North."

Pukk says, "Well, I am sleepy. I'm going to go get spells and then some rest."

Motes of vermillion light flow in and resolve into Town Councilor Vaemyr.

Pukk points at Vaemyr.

Pukk exclaims, "Evil!"

Pukk exclaims, "Eeeevil!"

Pukk just went west.

Alosaka says, "He assaulted this town without just cause. His rank and mission do not matter in that regard."

Speaking to Elliathe, Archious says, "Has your town made contact with this Sentinel of the North? I suggest you begin before they set their eyes on you."

Vaemyr asks, "Eve? lil? are those some people I need to meet?"

Vaemyr says, "Oh he poofed."

Speaking to Leafiara, Nairena says, "There are two wars: The actual one and the one afterwards where things try to get back to normal."

Speaking to Chandrellia, Tikba says, "I agree with what you say. I would certainly prefer that the Empire had never arrived."

Speaking to Nairena, Leafiara says, "Thankfully not my problem anymore."

Tikba says, "But they are here, and Gnul is here, and we must act."

Speaking to Archious, Elliathe asks, "I honestly do not know if the Council has taken any sort of action?"

Speaking to Leafiara, Nairena says, "I am blessed to be in that same boat as you."

Speaking to Elliathe, Archious says, "They will spread. We have watched it for centuries."

Speaking to Tikba, Chandrellia says, "I'mnot saying life was a breeze when the Imperials werent here, but by no means did we have Griffons just attacking our walls and gates becasue they fear of the Imperials will bring."

Elliathe says, "Tis certainly what I fear."

Speaking to Chandrellia, Sunwu says, "I mean..ya did, an' worse."

Tikba says, "Tell me of a way we may convince the Empire to peacefully abandon Darkstone, and I will certainly pursue it."

Tikba says, "I do not see that path before me."

Archious says, "They will soon be more entrenched than even the Kiramon."

Alosaka says, "The Empire is a growing nation, stretching its wings. We cannot stop it from doing what comes naturally to a young and ambitious people."

Kelfyr asks, "If it were to present itself though, you would pay it heed?"

Leafiara says, "Thankfully Icemule is still free and the option remains to move there. For now."

Speaking to Tikba, Chandrellia says, "Wrn the settlers of what can happen should the mana storm be played with, its a dangerous game and we are all at risk if this is the new barons intentions."

Speaking to Alosaka, Archious says, "Indeed. Empires must expand, and they should be free to take whatever they can grab. I see your point."

Speaking to Archious, Alosaka says, "We have a voice in what happens."

Archious says, "A voice in where your pylons fire..a voice in what kinds of ships visit your port. So many things to speak about."

Tikba says, "The Empire is large, but it counts among its ranks few aelotoi, and few worshippers of Marlu."

Elliathe mutters, "Or the illusion of a choice."

Speaking to Tikba, Chandrellia says, "Without settlers they cant settle, if the fear of what they could bring should they continue to pursue this leadership then mayhaps they will turn and go home."

Alosaka asks, "But do you think we can make demands of the Empire? Tell them they may not expand into the lands near us, even though we have no claim over those lands?"

Speaking to Kelfyr, Tikba says, "Wehnimer's Landing, however, is a free city."

Speaking to Kelfyr, Tikba says, "You may be sure I would like it to remain so."

Speaking to Alosaka, Archious says, "I did not say that. I said only that the only requirement I see so far is that the ability to take and hold is the only requisite."

Kelfyr says, "It is currently a free city, nestled in one of the most strategic points along the western coast of the continent."

Leafiara says, "In all fairness, I like Solhaven and River's Rest well enough. But in double fairness, I like them precisely because they're not exactly the most stringent about enforcing Imperial law."

Speaking to Alosaka, Archious says, "That is not a position I expected you to take, but I don't disagree with it."

Speaking to Archious, Alosaka says, "It is because I am confident that the Empire's arrival is not something to fear and dread, but an opportunity to welcome."

Speaking to Leafiara, Kayse says, "But River's Rest is in the Empire--they just have an unwritten agreement that River's Rest is where outlaws and smugglers go."

Speaking slyly to Kayse, Leafiara says, "Unwritten, yes."

Archious says, "Ah, trust in the benevolence of this new power, and all shall be well."

Kelfyr says, "In the long arc of history, empires do as they feel they must, when they see the opportunity before them."

Speaking to Chandrellia, Tikba says, "It is a thought worth considering, to be sure."

Speaking to Leafiara, Vaemyr says, "Kinda like our "free" status..."

Speaking to Archious, Alosaka says, "I trust them to do what is in their interests, just as I trust us to do."

Speaking to Alosaka, Archious says, "Good, I believe we understand each other, then."

Speaking to Vaemyr, Leafiara asks, "...wait, that's unwritten?"

Kayse says, "No, this is way more loose than our protectorate status."

Speaking to Tikba, Chandrellia says, "I dont want any harm to come to the settlers any more then anyone else, regardless of my words last night, however, if this Baron to be is looking for what a few think it even may be, then Gnul is the least of our worries."

Speaking to Archious, Alosaka says, "And I believe the intersection of those interests will be of benefit to the Landing and its people. I do not believe the Empire comes to conquer. They come to fill empty land beside a prosperous, strategic port on their northern coast."

[Leafi briefly goes to get invoker spells, so it's possible a line or two or three were missed]

You also see the granite Kelfur disk, the Elliathe disk, the Vaemyr disk, the Kiyna disk, the Kelfyr disk, a large purple wooden barrel, a blanket of snow, a black imperial wagon with a glowing blue-white pylon on it, a silver-inked ivory parchment nailed to a wall outside of Moot Hall and a dark green wreath with Imaera's lace hanging from the doors of Moot Hall.

Also here: Event Planner Leafiara, Kelfur, Lady Elliathe, Town Councilor Vaemyr, Town Councilor Kiyna, Wolfloner, Alosaka, Miss Chandrellia, Sunwu, Archious, Xorus, Town Councilor Kayse, Tikba, Kelfyr

Tikba says, "The Earl wrote of our free status merely a few weeks ago."

Speaking to Alosaka, Archious says, "They are conquering even now, you just don't want to call it that."

Tikba lightly says, "I hope I am not the only one who remembers the proclamation."

Archious says, "Again, I have no problem with it."

Speaking to Archious, Leafiara says, "That's the stance of Grutak over in Icemule too."

Speaking to Archious, Alosaka asks, "...and? Is the air different? Are we wearing invisible shackles?"

Leafiara says, "A war fought without words, Grutak called it, if I recall."

Speaking to Alosaka, Kiyna says, "Yes."

Leafiara says, "Without swords, rather."

Leafiara says, "WITH words."

Speaking to Chandrellia, Tikba asks, "What do you think Elidal is looking for?"

Alosaka says, "I keep hearing about this loss of freedom but I have yet to see it."

[General] Nairena exclaims, "Dont you do it, Markx!"

Speaking to Alosaka, Kiyna says, "Perhaps because you don't value it like some do."

Kelfyr points at a silver-inked ivory parchment nailed to a wall outside of Moot Hall.

Chandrellia says, "A way to harness to mana storm for his own gain, what that gain is, could be anything."

Kelfyr says, "He spells it out plain."

Speaking to Kiyna, Alosaka asks, "As someone who values it so highly, perhaps you could explain it for me plainly?"

Chandrellia says, "The mana storm."

Speaking to Tikba, Vaemyr says, "Part of the reason we wanted Elidal's letter, and the request I made at the original dinner, is I don't believe the town as a "free" city is written anywhere in imperial bylaws. We just exist in the protetorate region, and the Empire has chosen that situation as "fine"."

Vaemyr says, "The only one who could change that would be Earl Jovery, to put it in writing."

Speaking to Vaemyr, Tikba says, "Indeed, I would not want the Landing written into Imperial law as a free city."

Tikba says, "We would then be a free Imperial city."

Tikba says, "That is different."

Speaking to Alosaka, Leafiara recalls, "The most prominent would be in when the Earl appointed a town council member over Mayor Lylia's will, then the time that exact town council member rewrote the election laws here."

Alosaka asks, "Will we lose our grand temple? Our fine bank? The postal system? Our fine wooden walls that seem somewhat troubled during times of invasion?"

Speaking to Alosaka, Archious says, "Ah, you *do* see the shackles."

Alosaka says, "Oh, we'll lose our politicians."

Tikba murmurs, "To be sure, we could use a few more temples."

Wolfloner quietly says, "I remember when Jovery turned his back on the Landing."

Speaking to Tikba, Kiyna says, "A few less, by my estimation."

Speaking to Alosaka, Leafiara concedes, "I suppose it's easy to miss the value of elected representatives if you can just throw enough social pressure about to shift the situation without being elected."

Speaking to Kiyna, Tikba suggests, "Perhaps they will cancel each other out."

Speaking amusedly to Leafiara, Tikba agrees, "Yes."

Speaking to Alosaka, Leafiara says, "Of course, such reasoning gives rise to some of your favorite entities like the Rooks too..."

Archious sighs, "We have so much to teach you."

Speaking amusedly to Leafiara, Tikba says, "It does seem that some former councilors prefer that approach."

Alosaka says, "So, if I understand..."

Speaking to Tikba, Leafiara says, "Some of them do still care."

Speaking to Leafiara, Vaemyr says, "Pukk does at least."

Tikba says, "It is a shame they did not run."

Leafiara says, "I'm just here to eat popcorn while listening to people spin."

Speaking to Archious, Sunwu says, "Lord.."

Speaking darkly to Vaemyr, Wolfloner says, "Jovery did turn his back on the Landing when Talador unjustly invaded the Landing. That is not in dispute."

Alosaka asks, "If the Empire comes, we will lose the freedom to select our own leaders, which we may or may not have already lost? And if that happens, it will lead to the creation of criminal organizations like the Rooks?"

Speaking to Sunwu, Archious says, "Eii, you may go."

Vaemyr says, "I remember."

Speaking to Alosaka, Leafiara says, "Well... yes, but also that's not even what I meant. I'm saying that having little regard for the importance of elected representatives is the same mindset that leads organizations to go rogue, in and of itself."

Leafiara says, "I should probably mention that the Empire isn't some paradise free of crime. It has an exceptional number of criminal organizations compared to our one."

Alosaka says, "It also has a remarkable number of cities, compared to our one."

Tikba murmurs, "I am fairly sure we have more than one."

Speaking to Leafiara, Vaemyr says, "I mean... Dragnell and the original Rooks even came from just one of those."

Leafiara says, "The Bayrunners, the Silver Kings, Gallard's Guardians, for example... the Blameless, the Hall of Mages..."

Kelfyr says, "Depends on how organized you need the crime to be to count."

Speaking to Leafiara, Archious agrees, "It does. They are remarkably unburdened by these sorts of moral questions."

Speaking to Vaemyr, Leafiara says, "Also true."

Kayse thoughtfully rattles off, "Silver Kings, Red Hats, The Blackwood Ravagers."

Alosaka says, "Well, we're fortunate that our politics are not so infected by organized criminal organizations."

Bellaja says, "The DeRichter family from the rest."

Leafiara says, "The Ivory Thorns before they were disbanded... well, if they were even criminal. They might have been an approved organization of assassins."

Vaemyr says, "Honestly the Hall needs to learn to just extend their lives by a few hundred years, I think half their wrecklessness comes from their short lives and not worrying about needing to live with or clean up the consequences..."

Speaking to Alosaka, Kiyna asks, "As opposed to disorganized ones?"

Speaking to Alosaka, Kayse asks, "Do we even know for sure?"

Speaking to Kiyna, Alosaka says, "Fair."

Speaking to Vaemyr, Leafiara considers, "Now there's a pretty good thought."

Speaking to Vaemyr, Leafiara says, "I'll give you credit when you have them."

Speaking to Kayse, Alosaka wonders, "Who's to say? Certainly I would never point the finger."

Alosaka asks, "So, to circle back, that is the freedom we are so concerned about? The freedom to choose our own leaders?"

Speaking indifferently to Alosaka, Kayse says, "Many thought Amos was and is a criminal, part of the reason he was removed as Steward of the Guild from the last council."

Speaking to Leafiara, Vaemyr says, "Hey I've had a few... but seriously, nearly all the trouble we've had with them is from the "I need to get power quickly" compare that with Xorus, "ehh I'll get to it next century"."

Speaking to Alosaka, Kiyna says, "That's one such freedom, yes."

Speaking to Kiyna, Alosaka asks, "Well, there are more, you say?"

Speaking to Alosaka, Leafiara says, "And our own laws, and not be under threat of Imperial force to pay taxes to them, among others. Those are three primary ones."

Alosaka says, "Let's lay them all out on the table."

Tikba says, "Freedom is the freedom to act as we wish and as we believe is right."

Speaking to Alosaka, Kiyna says, "Also... not all of them are so clearly defined."

Alosaka says, "So, we oppose Imperial taxes, imperial laws, imperial leaders... these are fine reasons and all more concrete than 'freedom,' I must say."

Kelfyr says, "Let alone the freedom, enshrined until shockingly recently, to peaceably exist as anything other than a Human within the borders."

Kelfyr says, "And as so demonstrated by Sablo, not a change that has taken place in the hearts of all their citizens."

[General] Kataric asks, "Dead grifflet's revenge?"

Alosaka says, "Indeed. Time was, non-humans were not afforded rights."

Kiyna says, "Considering how many feathers in opposition I saw in Bourth, I would say not in many of them."

Speaking to Kelfyr, Leafiara says, "Or, better yet, as demonstrated by the Blameless attacks not months ago."

Tikba thoughtfully says, "Sablo is not diplomatic, to be sure."

Kelfyr says, "Sablo is a choice."

Alosaka asks, "So, we are resolved to oppose the imposition of Imperial laws, Imperial leaders, and Imperial taxes on our city?"

Leafiara says, "...I must confess I really don't understand this hard stance being taken against Sablo's blunt and sometimes harsh words."

Kelfyr says, "The empire does not lack for commanders."

Tikba says, "It was a right choice."

Kelfyr asks, "Why that one?"

Tikba says, "Sending him here to parlay with us was perhaps less wise."

Leafiara asks, "Mind you, I'm no fan of Sablo, but to criticize his words of all things?"

Leafiara says, "So he's abrasive. So is Thadston and we elected him."

Alosaka says, "Well, you have to criticize something. He's an Imperial."

Leafiara says, "I don't have to criticize anything and I'm certainly not going to criticize him on that."

Tikba delicately says, "Being polite is a survival skill."

Kiyna says, "I've made what I find distasteful about Sablo perfectly clear, I believe."

Tikba says, "Sablo has chosen others to focus on."

Speaking to Tikba, Leafiara confesses, "Veneers of politeness are why I got out of politics. Couldn't stomach it any longer."

Alosaka asks, "Well, may I pledge here, before you all, to also oppose the imposition of Imperial laws, leaders and taxes on our town? And further to oppose any imposition of a restored Chaston's edict?"

Vaemyr says, "I'm gonna retire for now, I'll be in my office again, maybe fall asleep in my chair."

Speaking amusedly to Alosaka, Tikba asks, "The freedom to act as we think right did not make your list?"

Speaking to Tikba, Alosaka says, "I hadn't heard that mentioned as a freedom the Empire threatened."

Speaking to Alosaka, Leafiara says, "Sounds good to me."

Leafiara says, "Or at least it would if I still cared, but, again, I don't."

Speaking to Alosaka, Kiyna says, "You can make whatever pledges you wish."

Leafiara says, "I leave that to Chandy, Fahlo, and Pukk."

Kiyna says, "I'm going to retire for now."

Kiyna says, "Good night, all."

Speaking to Alosaka, Tikba says, "It is not lawful to worship Marlu in the Empire."

Wolfloner darkly says, "I am trying to remember a time when a threat toward the Landing did not spawn from the empire...."

Leafiara says, "It is amusing, though, that I can skirt the line of declaring myself an enemy of Wehnimer's Landing and you all will do absolutely nothing, or perhaps even start arguing that it isn't so."

Leafiara murmurs, "Never, ever enough popcorn."

Speaking to Leafiara, Archious says, "There is a strong tendency to deny new information when it conflicts with one's existing worldview."

Speaking to Leafiara, Tikba says, "Perhaps we fear you."

Speaking to Leafiara, Alosaka asks, "What would you have us do?"

Speaking to Alosaka, Leafiara says, "Take precautions against me, of course."

Alosaka asks, "Find a cat'o'nine tails and scourge you? Cut your hair?"

Speaking to Leafiara, Bellaja says, "They don't take you seriously until some sorcery puts your face on bats who then eat the populace."

Speaking knowingly to Bellaja, Leafiara says, "And by then it's too late."

Speaking to Leafiara, Bellaja says, "Indeed."

Speaking to Bellaja, Leafiara says, "They never act until it's too late and hundreds have already died."

Alosaka says, "If we stopped trusting everyone who didn't act against Vlashandra in time there wouldn't be many people left to trust."

Speaking to Leafiara, Bellaja says, "Yes, and honestly.. any option would have been better then NO action."

Leafiara says, "It's astonishing to even contemplate how many citizens I could kill in cold blood here before anyone would move to stop me."

Kelfyr asks, "Would or could?"

Speaking amusedly to Kelfyr, Leafiara says, "Could. I'm not that interested in wasting my time."

Speaking to Leafiara, Alosaka says, "Some people would try. Some people tried to stop Vlashandra."

Speaking to Alosaka, Leafiara says, "I think you were literally the only one."

Alosaka asks, "Well, one is more than none, isn't it?"

Speaking to Leafiara, Tikba asks, "Why do you wait for others to take the action you believe must be taken, instead of taking it yourself?"

Kelfyr says, "I guess I hadn't heard anything from you that sounded like an active threat to the town. Though I've only returned recently to this portion of the continent."

Speaking to Tikba, Leafiara says, "So I can placate the masses and gain favorability, of course."

Speaking amusedly to Leafiara, Tikba says, "You have that already."

Bellaja says, "Numbers.Resources."

Speaking to Leafiara, Archious says, "We should have coordinated our efforts."

Speaking to Tikba, Leafiara says, "I'm working to undo it."

Bellaja says, "All important."

Speaking to Kelfyr, Leafiara says, "I'm not an active threat to the town, for the record. I'm just saying it's striking how easily one could be and get away with it."

Alosaka says, "Well, anyway. Thank you all for giving me a better understanding of the freedoms you hold so dear, and fear are at risk."

Leafiara says, "At least if history is anything to go by."

Speaking to Leafiara, Tikba says, "Tell people you have changed your mind, and support the Turamyrzzian Empire."

Kelfyr says, "Oh, surely. Forest trolls wander in daily."

Kelfyr says, "It's not that well protected a gate."

Speaking to Tikba, Leafiara says, "But then the entire Order of the Silver Gryphon would rally behind me."

Speaking to Leafiara, Tikba suggests, "You must simply switch back and forth, depending on who has spoken to you lately."

Kelfyr says, "I mean, they'd have to swear some oaths first."

Speaking to Leafiara, Tikba says, "I am assured this strategy works."

Speaking to Tikba, Leafiara says, "Even Sablo can see through Vaemyr, though."

Archious says, "He cannot see through the visor of his own helmet."

Archious says, "He is not supposed to."

Leafiara says, "I don't think Kayse or Kiyna switch their positions very often. And Pookia basically never."

Speaking to Leafiara, Tikba says, "That is what you want, I thought. To be seen through, and understood for who you really are."

Speaking to Leafiara, Bellaja asks, "What is it Sablo said?"

Speaking to Tikba, Leafiara says, "It would be nice, yeah."

Speaking to Bellaja, Leafiara asks, "In regards to what?"

Speaking to Leafiara, Bellaja says, "Vaemyr."

Speaking to Bellaja, Leafiara says, "Oh, it was more like I was the one who said it and Sablo just agreed with it..."

Bellaja says, "I'm afraid I was aiding the fallen somewhere."

Speaking to Bellaja, Leafiara says, "I told Sablo Vaemyr would keep posturing about his untoward words putting off allies, but ultimately work with him anyway."

Speaking to Bellaja, Leafiara says, "Sablo basically said he knows how politicians operate."

Bellaja says, "Ah."

Speaking to Leafiara, Bellaja says, "Vaemyr seems his worst enemy."

Leafiara says, "Then Vaemyr proved me right within twenty minutes. Maybe even more like ten."

Tikba admits, "After you convinced him to change his mind, I asked him to change it back."

Tikba says, "And he did."

Speaking to Leafiara, Elliathe asks, "Was it even ten?"

Speaking honestly to Elliathe, Leafiara says, "It might not have been."

Archious says, "Perhaps I should speak with that one more often."

Bellaja says, "If he'd settle down and hold his tongue more people might be more inclined to support him."

Speaking to Leafiara, Elliathe says, "I don't think it was."

Speaking to Archious, Tikba says, "You would not like him, but you might enjoy the outcome."

Bellaja says, "I think his heart is in the right place."

Kelfyr says, "I hope he knows he's already won the office, he doesn't have to keep running for it."

Bellaja says, "But his mouth... it's everywhere."

Speaking to Bellaja, Leafiara says, "I actually do too, but he's his own worst enemy."

Speaking to Kelfyr, Tikba says, "That is more or less what I said to him."

Elliathe says, "Here is my position. I understand why what was done was done. I do not even object to grifflet PELTS. What I object to are folks like Irval walking around playing with corpses. It's disgusting. It can also breed and spread disease."

Speaking to Elliathe, Archious asks, "This is your first time so far down south?"

Tikba says, "I would hope Irval would put his grifflet away in the future."

Leafiara wryly says, "To be fair, playing with corpses getting outlawed would be one advantage of an Imperial takeover."

Speaking to Elliathe, Archious says, "Some of us drink blood."

Leafiara muses, "Unless you're a Commander, anyway."

Tikba regretfully says, "But I must go."

Speaking to Archious, Elliathe says, "I come down a fair a bit, as a healer, I come to help. This is the first corpse occasion I have witnessed, yes."

Xorus says, "Or a necromancer."

Speaking to Leafiara, Tikba says, "I am sorry I could not help you with your unwanted popularity."

Speaking sincerely to Tikba, Leafiara says, "I appreciate it. I'll keep working on it."

[General] The ghost of Irval thinks, "Wow that...thats stinks..."

Speaking to Xorus, Tikba says, "Praise Marlu."

Elliathe says, "At least the necromancer is using a *tool*."

Bellaja says, "Necromancer..."

Speaking to herself, Bellaja says, "I've missed something important I think."

Leafiara jovially jests, "Oh, Irval died. Quick, let's go play with his corpse!"

Elliathe says, "Speaking about playing with corpses."

Kelfyr asks, "Again?"

Leafiara relents, "I'm just kidding. But only because that would take too much effort."

Speaking to Elliathe, Bellaja says, "He might need help."

You peer west and see ...

[Town Square Central] This is the heart of the main square of Wehnimer's Landing. You also see the Alanamarie disk, the Phereclese disk, a gargantuan cloudy grey tiger, a brown frog, an emaciated mottled white imp, a white flask, the Snowhulbe disk, an owl feather, some wide stone benches with some stuff on it, an herbal remedy donation bin and a round silver-banded barrel.

Also here: the body of Conquerer of Reim Irval who is lying down, Alanamarie, Phereclese, Jaffrey, Markx, Snowhulbe, Andromalius who is sitting

Speaking to Bellaja, Elliathe says, "I am certainly not well trained enough to go to him."

Wolfloner darkly says, "His corpse is so close."

Elliathe asks, "Where was he at?"

Elliathe says, "I am unable to locate as yet."

Archious says, "His body is over there."

Archious points west.

Elliathe exclaims, "Oh!"

Wolfloner darkly says, "Look to the west."

Lady Elliathe just went west.

Archious says, "It has been retrieved."

Wolfloner darkly says, "Shall we go and roll him around."

Leafiara ruefully says, "Oh, he's already alive."

Wolfloner rolls Irval over.

Wolfloner rolls Irval over.

Wolfloner rolls Irval over.

Leafiara muses, "Ah well, next time."

Wolfloner rolls Irval over.

Wolfloner rolls Irval over.

Bellaja says, "I sashayed around him."

Bellaja says, "Just for fun."

Speaking darkly to Irval, Wolfloner asks, "See how your grifflet feels?"
