Synopsis
Sister Filanci finds Mongo being chased around by forest trolls and calls for help. Various adventurers arrive on the scene to relay that Mongo is Juramis' cat and help bring back to town. While there, Filanci says she was just talking to someone about opening her own shop here and Juramis says they could arrange that tonight.
While Filanci goes off to prepare, Juramis brings up another matter: Amos is unhappy with the disturbances cause by Captain Bodohal, so, on his behalf, Juramis is looking for a solution before another fishing ship is sunk and fear sets in. Tikba, Leafiara, and Kelfyr relay the situation of Bodohal seeking Tolmis, who escaped his crew and is now a Rook, Bodohal being a corrupt captain, and suspicion that Bodohal has Magister Remuliad imprisoned on his ship.
Juramis says the ship's manifest would have information on Remuliad, but Bodohal won't give it up; however, he'll look into other ways. Councilor Kayse and Dendum say the manifest was destroyed, lost at sea, according to Tolmis. Juramis asks about the possibility of using Tolmis as bait, but Tikba points out he'd need to get that idea past Mother.
Sir Guarrin raises the point that a direct assault could be risky for Remuliad and says evidence that he's aboard would be helpful, so Juramis says he can reach out to contacts across Vornavis, Seareach, and Teras. Kayse proposes having Amos' courier Ivorel disguise himself as Tolmis, but Juramis seems to imply that he (Juramis) is the only resource Amos is offering.
Slightly later in the night, the Darkstone Bay Consortium opens its new bazaar and Amos shows off the shops. Afterward, he says he has business to attend to as his pylon ships have caught the interest of parties seeking one or two.

The white cat gazes with interest at the bloodstained Xorus disk with scuffed and dented sides. Speaking to a fluffy white cat, Xorus says, "No."
Gutstorm sadly slurs, "Amos....." Gutstorm drunkenly slurs, "He not gettin a hug me sign." Gutstorm put a bright pink heart-shaped sign reading "FREE HUGS!" in his keg-shaped pack. Gutstorm removes a bright yellow sign reading "KICK ME!" from in his traveller's cloak.

Bringing Back Mongo
[Realm] Filanci exclaims, "Anyone able to help, please? A large orange cat is being chased around by trolls in the Dragonsclaw where I am foraging!"
[travel]
[Lower Dragonsclaw, Forest]
Your ears are becoming more attuned to the sounds of the forest surrounding you. Over your footsteps you hear the sounds of small birds overhead, comfortably nested in the sturdy oak trees. You also see the flaming Saraphenia disk, the palm frond-shaped Leafiara disk, a forest troll, a huge orange cat and a splintered huge wooden sign with the words "Turn Orund Imps" hastily scrawled on it.
Also here: High Lady Saraphenia, Event Planner Leafiara, Filanci
Leafiara looks thoughtfully at a huge orange cat.
Leafiara pets a huge orange cat, which nuzzles her hand softly.
Saraphenia pets a huge orange cat, which nuzzles her hand softly.
Speaking curiously to Filanci, Leafiara asks, "Was everything taken care of?" [they actually took several minutes to arrive]
Filanci exclaims, "Those trolls were chasing this poor cat all over the forest!"
Leafiara nods slowly.
Dendum glances between Filanci and a huge orange cat.
[Realm] Xorus thinks, "Trolls and cats go worse together than cats and dogs."
Leafiara exclaims, "Well, we can't have that!"
Filanci asks, "Do you know this cat?"
The voice of Dendum says, "The cat belongs to Juramis."
Leafiara says, "Well... he looks like Mongo."
Leafiara says, "What Dendum said."
The voice of Dendum says, "Or...is cousin of fat cat."
Leafiara says, "Either it's him or a striking resemblance."
[Realm] Lylia thinks, "Cats, troubled by trolls? Point me toward them, and I shall lay waste to these trolls."
The voice of Dendum says, "Eh....where is that fat human....hope he has not gotten into trouble."
Filanci says, "They are one of the most pleasant of Imaera's children to me. When they are not trying to claw you."
Speaking to a huge orange cat, Leafiara asks, "Do you know where Juramis is?"
The orange cat meows.
The orange cat purrs.
Speaking thoughtfully to a huge orange cat, Leafiara says, "You're not especially far from town, if you'd like an escort back or... something."
Filanci asks, "Oh. Who is Juramis? Someone from your town?"
Tikba says, "I see you have things well in hand."
Speaking to Filanci, Leafiara says, "He works for a local merchant."
Filanci asks, "I see. Do you think he would want this cat back?"
The voice of Dendum says, "Eh....Juramis is very fond of cat."
Tikba nods firmly at Filanci.
[Realm] Leafiara thinks, "We're toward the north end of the Lower Dragonsclaw with Mongo."
Filanci waves to Tikba.
Leafiara says, "He'll definitely want him back."
Filanci says, "Hello."
The voice of Dendum says, "And...wine..."
Filanci nods at Tikba.
The voice of Dendum says, "And food..."
Tikba says, "They are attached, indeed."
Tikba nods in greeting at Filanci.
Tikba amusedly says, "Although not so attached that he does not get lost occasionally."
Leafiara offers, "I'm sure we could get him back... well, if he wants to come back."
Speaking curiously to a huge orange cat, Leafiara asks, "What are you doing out here anyway?"
Filanci says, "Then perhaps we should find out where this Juramis is. He may be worried about his friend."
Filanci nods.
Kelfyr says, "Hmm."
Filanci says, "I am done with my foraging for the evening."
[General] Tikba thinks, "Is Lord Juramis nearby? We have a cat of his."
Speaking to a huge orange cat, Saraphenia says, "Meow."
The orange cat rubs up against Filanci.
Leafiara says, "Hm, where's Juramis likely to be..."
Filanci pets a huge orange cat, which nuzzles her hand softly.
Kelfyr asks, "Mongo want a doughnut?"
Speaking wryly to Leafiara, Tikba says, "Perhaps at the Consortium building."
The orange cat pads off.
Leafiara says, "Well, uh..."
Kelfyr says, "That's cats for you."
Leafiara uncertainly says, "Maybe Mongo has his own ideas."
Tikba lightly says, "Good work."
A huge orange cat pads in.
Leafiara surprisedly says, "Oh, he's back again."
The voice of Dendum mutters, ""The Dragonsclaw is becoming very busy place..."
Tikba asks, "Did you get lost, Mongo?"
Filanci asks, "Perhaps it will follow one of us?"
Ariandae says, "Hello again."
Leafiara muses, "Sounds as good an idea as any."
Tikba points northeast.
Tikba nods to the orange cat.
Leafiara joins Tikba.
Tikba's group just went northeast.
[Lower Dragonsclaw, Forest]
You release the scents of the various herbs growing on the forest floor with your steps. They mingle with the breeze that courses through the trees to create an ever-changing, but always pleasant, aroma. You also see a kobold.
A fluffy white cat pads in.
Tikba says, "Close."
[Lower Dragonsclaw, Forest]
Your ears are becoming more attuned to the sounds of the forest surrounding you. Over your footsteps you hear the sounds of small birds overhead, comfortably nested in the sturdy oak trees. You also see a huge orange cat, the Kelfyr disk, a grizzled porcupine, the sparking Dendum disk, a resplendent obsidian black raven that is flying around, the flaming Saraphenia disk and a splintered huge wooden sign with the words "Turn Orund Imps" hastily scrawled on it.
Tikba just arrived.
Leafiara says, "Let's follow Tikba."
The orange cat rubs up against Saraphenia.
Saraphenia beams happily at a huge orange cat!
Leafiara recites:
"Everoyne join Tikba!"
Saraphenia lightly places her hand on the orange cat, which responds by moving his body beneath her hand for a thorough rubbing.
Tikba says, "The cat seems to prefer Saraphenia."
Tikba says, "Let us see."
[travel]
[General] Juramis asks, "Have you found that fuzzy contraption of constant interruption? Yes! I would like him back. Where has he gone off to now?"
Leafiara says, "Well, she's with us, so it should be fine."
Kelfyr says, "The expression 'like herding cats' comes to mind."
Tikba says, "He is not convinced."
Filanci joins Tikba's group.
[General] Leafiara thinks, "He's not gotten far, he's just here in the forest."
Tikba says, "Mongo, we must go."
Filanci says, "I will come with you."
Tikba nods to the orange cat.
Filanci just closed a pale woven reed back-basket.
Tikba yells, "Here, Mongo!"
Tikba asks, "Do cats come when called?"
Ariandae says, "Not that I've ever seen."
Speaking to Tikba, Saraphenia says, "I do."
Kelfyr says, "It's hard to tell."
A huge orange cat pads in.
Tikba nods approvingly to the orange cat.
[travel]
[General] Leafiara thinks, "Tikba's slowly convincing him to follow us back."
Tikba nods approvingly to the orange cat.
Tikba says, "We are close."
Kelfyr says, "Good kitty."
[General] Tikba thinks, "We are inside the west gate now with Mongo."
Kelfyr asks, "To the consortium building?"
Filanci gazes in wonder at her surroundings.
[General] Nalver thinks, "Aww. Kitty cats are the best."
[Wehnimer's, West Ring Rd.]
The road passes beneath the shadow of the palisade. Before you sprawls a gaudily-painted structure, adorned with elaborate carvings depicting scenes of commerce and lit by polished brass lamps. This is the Merchant's Guild, where the business people of town, from wealthy traders to lowly street peddlers, meet to discuss matters of mutual concern. You also see a two-story dark brick edifice.
Tikba points at a two-story dark brick edifice. A huge orange cat pads in.
Speaking to a huge orange cat, Saraphenia exclaims, "You're a pretty kitty!"
Filanci says, "I have not been inside your town very long. There are so many people here."
[General] Kelfyr thinks, "He's slowly being herded towards the Consortium building."
Kelfyr says, "And all in a hurry."
[General] Lylia thinks, "They are indeed."
Filanci says, "It is quite a nice little settlement of its own."
Speaking amusedly to Tikba, Leafiara says, "Kippe's nicknamed you the cat whisperer since he's never known cats to be convinced of anything."
Speaking to Filanci, Kelfyr says, "Did you find what you were foraging for? I know it can take a bit to get a feel for new lands."
Lord Juramis just came trudging in.
Juramis beams happily at a huge orange cat!
Juramis huskily exclaims, "Mongo!"
Speaking to Leafiara, Tikba says, "I assure you I am as surprised as anybody."
The orange cat nimbly jumps into Juramis's open arms and nestles into the crook of his arm.
Leafiara pleasedly says, "All's well that ends well, then."
Speaking to Tikba, Bakarus asks, "Part ranger?"
Tikba says, "He is known for exploratory trips, to be sure."
Filanci says, "Hello. Mister Juramis is it? Your cat was being attacked by trolls in the forest and these very nice people came and helped, and..."
Juramis chuckles.
Speaking understandingly to Tikba, Leafiara says, "Cats."
Speaking to Leafiara, Saraphenia says, "Meow."
Speaking to Leafiara, Dendum says, ""Great service you have done for Consortium's Cat this night."
Juramis huskily asks, "Thank you so much for finding him. He went outside town this time! Getting too brave, are we?"
The orange cat jumps down from Juramis's hand, landing softly on the ground.
Juramis pets a huge orange cat, which nuzzles his hand softly.
Filanci says, "This is a city cat. I could barely tell, he is so large. I've always wanted to live in a big town, or city."
The voice of Dendum says, "Ahh gates of landing are always open to those who seek a fresh start..."
Filanci's Business Aspirations
Filanci says, "I was just talking to someone about opening my own shop here someday."
Saraphenia asks, "But what about those who seek a false start?"
Leafiara says, "Juramis might be able to assist you with that."
Tikba says, "Indeed, the Consortium would be well placed to help a new merchant."
Speaking curiously to Filanci, Leafiara asks, "What would you sell?"
Juramis huskily says, "Oh really? I think we could arrange that tonight, if you aren't doing anything more important. One of our simple shops is still vacant, and would make an excellent sixth that happened to upset someone else, and it got a bit messy. But this is how things are sometimes."
Filanci says, "I am rather good with making talismans, like this one."
Filanci removes a bone-edged jade leaf talisman from her neck.
Speaking to Filanci, Bakarus says, "Quite lovely."
Speaking to Juramis, Dendum reminds, ""Thought this Bazaar was to help landing merchants."
Filanci shows Juramis her jade leaf talisman.
Speaking to Dendum, Kelfyr asks, "Wouldn't a new resident be a town merchant, by definition?"
Dendum says, "She is not of the landing..."
Leafiara considers, "Well, there's no talisman shop here currently, so I suppose it could fill a niche."
Kelfyr asks, "Who really is?"
Filanci says, "This is a holy symbol of the Green Sisters, to remember Talador and where I came from. I recently came as a refugee in a caravan, but it was attacked on the way here."
Tikba murmurs, "She could be, if she wished to be."
Filanci hangs a bone-edged jade leaf talisman around her neck.
Tikba says, "I understand they keep the book available at all hours."
Bakarus asks, "I had heard there were not many survivors?"
Speaking to Filanci, Saraphenia asks, "So you're an Imperial citizen?"
Filanci says, "I am from Talador, before it was destroyed. I came here for a new start, with some promises from others. But those others were killed when those stone creatures attacked us."
Filanci says, "Now I am seeking other opportunities."
[General] Hazan asks, "Need a rat to feed to your cat?"
Tikba says, "Wehnimer's Landing is the best place to seek other opportunities."
Leafiara says, "Dendum does raise a good point about citizenship."
Leafiara says, "Well, in relation to opening up new shops, that is."
Dendum says, "Tikba raises good counter point about it being open for those who wish it."
Speaking quietly to Filanci, Ariandae says, "I came here with my uncle to trade silver shortly before the..."
Juramis huskily asks, "Talador, you say? Anyone from Talador should be given a chance, I think. And we could use another shop in the bazaar tonight. What do you folks say? I could go introduce her to Amos and we see what he thinks?"
Ariandae quietly says, "I lost my family, so I understand."
Leafiara confusedly asks, "You... intend to open a shop within a single night?"
Kelfyr says, "Better an opportunity for all to prosper than an empty stall on principle."
Tikba neutrally says, "If she wishes to become a citizen here, I am sure we will be happy to have her shop."
Leafiara says, "I mean, other than that I don't see why not. Just the wording 'tonight' seemed odd."
Speaking to Filanci, Bakarus asks, "Will you be making talisman that honor all of the Arkati?"
Filanci says, "Oh I have made many talismans already. I have been looking for a place to sell them, but the settlers keep sending me out to forage for herbs. I don't mind, but I would rather make these symbols of faith for others."
Leafiara surprisedly says, "Oh."
Dendum measuredly muses, ""Should not be problem, but the Amos should be reminded when Dendum and others argued on behalf of Bazaar...against much opposition....it was to provide for citizens of landing not just to make silvers."
Filanci says, "I did not know Wehnimer's Landing was just a busy town. I have only heard rumors about it."
Filanci blushes a glowing shade of red.
[General] Elliarra thinks, "K. be safe."
Juramis huskily says, "Yes. I see your point."
Juramis nods at Dendum.
Dendum says, "However...stall is empty as others have said...perhaps she can hire help from inside city..."
Dendum shrugs.
Dendum says, "If sales are good."
Leafiara asks, "At very least the taxes would go to the Landing anyway, same as other shops?"
Juramis huskily says, "Amos has worked out all of that. I am sure he has."
Juramis laughs softly, trying to hide his amusement.
Speaking to Kayse, Tikba says, "You remember Sister Filanci, who is now considering opening a shop in the bazaar."
Filanci says, "I would do my very best to make the finest talismans. There are thirty different ones I can make already."
Speaking affably to Juramis, Leafiara says, "Anyway, seems like a plan. Of course, now we have a current councilor here instead of just a past one, so maybe she can weigh in."
The coppery barn owl gazes at Filanci.
Filanci gazes in amusement at a pale-faced coppery barn owl.
Speaking to Tikba, Kayse says, "Yes, I sent along her name to Amos."
Tikba says, "Ah, then he will know already."
Kayse observes, "But seems she's in good hands now."
Speaking politely to Filanci, Tikba says, "I am eager to see your work. I hope it will suit all sorts of worshippers."
Juramis huskily says, "I was going to introduce her to Lord Amos, since we have need of a merchant to fill a shop. One of the original six didn't quite work out."
Juramis huskily says, "Also, she has a rather good start."
Juramis smiles quietly to himself.
Speaking to Tikba, Bakarus says, "Wider net would be good for sales."
Speaking to Bakarus, Tikba agrees, "Especially here."
Filanci says, "I did want to open my talisman shop, sooner or later. I could do my best to be ready for tonight. I'll go wash these herbs and give them the settlers."
Leafiara remarks, "Would be quite the quick turnaround."
Juramis nods at Filanci.
Ariandae says, "When you have wares ready to sell, and a space ready for wares, it doesn't take long sometimes."
Speaking huskily to Filanci, Juramis says, "Meet me on South Ring Road when you are ready. I'm sure someone can help you find it, if needed."
Filanci curtsies.
>l filan
You see Sister Filanci the Pilgrim.
She appears to be a Human from Talador.
She is average height. She appears to be in the meridian of life. She has long-lashed green eyes and tanned skin. She has long, tied back ginger hair worn in a single braid. She has deep laugh lines.
She is in good shape.
She is wearing a bone-edged jade leaf talisman, a hooded ruddy brown cloak, a pale woven reed back-basket, a tattered forest green robe, and some pale woven reed footwraps bound with moss agate toggles.
Filanci exclaims, "Thank you. I will do my best to hurry!"
Sister Filanci just went south.
Leafiara says, "I'll be curious to see your wares--"
Juramis rubs his chin thoughtfully.
Leafiara amusedly says, "Well, guess I'll see them soon enough anyway."
Kelfyr says, "Eager, that one."
Regarding Bodohal
Juramis huskily says, "There is another matter we should discuss."
Speaking to Leafiara, Dendum remarks, ""She is one of the green sisters...."
Ariandae says, "Seems like she will be on the ball."
Bakarus says, "I am hoping for a Charl."
Speaking to Tikba, Bakarus says, "I need it for my collection."
Kayse inquires, "Why are we outside the consortium and not inside where there are drinks?"
Leafiara says, "I'll have to decline if you all head inside."
Speaking to Kayse, Kelfyr says, "The cat herding ended at the door."
Leafiara amiably says, "But this has been productive."
Speaking to Kayse, Tikba admits, "Because I find the building a bit confusing."
Tikba says, "I am glad Juramis came out to meet us."
Speaking amusedly to Leafiara, Kayse asks, "Though you are excited to see wares from a future bazaar merchant who will likely be part of the consortium?"
Speaking to Kayse, Leafiara says, "Didn't say I'd be entering her shop."
Juramis huskily says, "Lord Amos is unhappy with this disturbance being caused by that Captain Bodohal. He has put me in charge of trying to deal with it, so I would meet with the Town Council and any if other members of our town who have some insight into this issue they should come forward with what we know."
Leafiara says, "I'm sure her talismans will circulate around town if they sell well."
Speaking to Juramis, Dendum inquires, ""When?"
Juramis huskily says, "He has assured me that his warships will keep the docks safe from any serious threat to the town itself."
Tikba lightly says, "Once again we owe thanks that Amos is a citizen of the Landing."
Leafiara says, "It sort of sounds less like you're in charge of dealing with it and more in charge of finding others who can deal with it, but that does make more sense anyway."
Juramis huskily says, "Immediately, or as soon as possible. I suggest you begin to think about what to do, before another fisherman is sunk and fear sets in on your docks."
Speaking to Juramis, Dendum remarks, ""Well...there is council member...now is immediately...what does Juramis wish to know?"
Tikba says, "The story is simple enough, unless we desire to make it complicated."
Speaking to Tikba, Kelfyr says, "Complicating the simple is a proud tradition."
Kayse airily says, "Perhaps I am not the correct councilor to speak with since two of the others had so much to say on the matter last week that I was unaware of."
Dendum says, "Eh, believe Tikba can fill in that part well enough if this is just story of past...and not decision for future..."
Tikba says, "Bodohal threatens the Landing seeking Tolmis. Even if we wished to send Tolmis to him, which we do not, we cannot lay hands on him now he is a Rook."
Speaking to Tikba, Dendum remarks, ""And citizen..."
Leafiara muses, "Imperial navy captain went corrupt, a crew member of his named Tolmis escaped his crew, Tolmis has now taken refuge here and joined the Rooks, and Bodohal wants Tolmis or else he'll keep shooting down ships."
Tikba says, "Bodohal seems to be a pirate in Imperial captain's clothing, as well."
Leafiara adds, "...does that cover it or have I missed something?"
Guarrin says, "Bodohal should be brought to justice for his attack."
Tikba says, "Ah, there is some belief that Bodohal has a Magister imprisoned on his ship. Remuliad."
Juramis raises an eyebrow in Tikba's direction.
Speaking to Tikba, Dendum adds, ""With impressive ship of the..empire...."
Guarrin says, "Yes, Bodohal mentioned it."
Kelfyr says, "The source and nature of his remit is still open, but from what we've been told, he is an Imperial captain."
Juramis huskily asks, "As a prisoner, or part of his crew?"
Speaking to a pale-faced coppery barn owl, Guarrin asks, "I do not suppose you have any news?"
Speaking to Tikba, Dendum says, ""Thought that was not to be said."
The coppery barn owl hoots at Guarrin.
The coppery barn owl ruffles his feathers.
Kelfyr says, "As a prisoner."
Juramis frowns.
Juramis huskily says, "Remuliad, you say? I'll look into that and see what I can find. The ship's manifest would have that information in it, but the chances of getting that from Bodohal are slim. There are other ways, however."
Kayse says, "The manifest was destroyed."
Juramis huskily asks, "Destroyed? How do you know the ship's manifest was destroyed?"
Dendum says, "Ehh...Tolmis said it was lost in water."
Leafiara says, "Ah."
Kayse says, "From what I gather from the other evening, Tolmis said it was."
Cryheart asks, "What if Tolmis was nae telling the truth?"
Juramis huskily asks, "You've met Tolmis, then?"
Mourdeyan says, "Praps that's why he's a wanted man."
Tikba asks, "If Tolmis was lying about the manifest, why would Bodohal be bombarding fishermen in search of him?"
Kayse wryly says, "Yes, perhaps Tolmis is at fault and not the Imperial Captain threatening us."
Cryheart says, "Tolmis came out to help fight Gnul's army in town."
Dendum says, "Well..can trust Tolmis or can trust the captain shooting cannons at citizens."
Juramis nods at Cryheart.
Cryheart says, "Got a brief look at him, but he remained silent."
Juramis huskily says, "So he is not an enemy of the town, outright, anyway."
Tikba says, "Tolmis saved me from a stone sentinel one night. Bodohal shot my friend with a cannon."
Tikba says, "For me the choice is not difficult."
Cryheart says, "Appears so."
Mourdeyan says, "I'm sure a man seeking refuge would be helpful, in anna way he could...specially if he's somethin to hide."
Juramis nods slowly.
Cryheart says, "We still dinnae know all of the truth yet."
Guarrin says, "I am far more concerned about a captain turned...whatever he is now.."
Dendum says, "He does not seek to hide anything...simply seeks to escape bondage of imperial captain."
Guarrin says, "With a warship going up and down the coast."
Mourdeyan says, "Sorry, you know him so well."
Tikba shortly says, "I cannot think what truth would justify Bodohal murdering fishermen."
Tikba says, "Perhaps if you can, you may inform us."
Speaking simply to Juramis, Kayse says, "As far as a plan, if you wish to lure the Captain out with a "fake" of the manifest I do have a description of it if we want to recreate one."
Speaking to Tikba, Mourdeyan says, "There is naught justification."
Speaking to Juramis, Kayse says, "Or negotiate a trade with the Magister. I doubt Bodohal cares much for Tolmis and more so wants the manifest back."
Guarrin says, "Evidence of the Magister's status would be helpful. If they are captive, a direct assault would be risky."
Mourdeyan says, "Juss sayin, as m'mum used to two wrongs don't make a right."
Speaking to Kayse, Kelfyr says, "He did seem very adamant about getting Tolmis back the other night, but it was hard to be certain over the cannonade."
Juramis huskily asks, "Could this Tolmis be used as bait?"
Speaking flatly to Juramis, Dendum says, ""No."
Juramis rubs his chin thoughtfully.
Juramis glances at Dendum.
Cryheart says, "A good thought."
Juramis shrugs.
Mourdeyan asks, "Hmm, why not?"
Juramis huskily says, "It was just a thought. We don't have to risk the poor man's life."
Cryheart says, "But then we would hae to find him."
Speaking mildly to Juramis, Tikba says, "You must ask Mother whether she will lend you one of her children."
Juramis huskily exclaims, "He's a Rook?!"
Leafiara asks, "So... if I'm following this, the thought is that Bodohal wants his manifest and Tolmis has it? Or had it once. And Bodohal is convinced that it's still intact for him to get back now, even though any number of things could have destroyed it, even putting aside the thing that Tolmis claims destroyed it?"
Cryheart says, "He was dressed in Rook garb."
Speaking to Leafiara, Dendum says, ""Hrmm...yes."
Speaking to Juramis, Guarrin says, "Apparently so, yes."
Juramis huskily exclaims, "Now that makes things complicated!"
Leafiara says, "This... seems a lot like that krolvin situation we just dealt with, where even claiming we have the manifest would make Bodohal believe we've already read its contents and learned what he doesn't want us to know."
Speaking to Juramis, Dendum says, ""Yes, unless you are willing to fracture city even further on edge at coming settlement do not suggest dragging out a rook and trading with imperial captain."
Mourdeyan asks, "It's all conjecture at this point until we know more eh?"
Leafiara adds, "And I'll be right back."
[runs to get the invoker, so likely missed a few lines]
Kelfyr says, "Among others."
Speaking to Juramis, Tikba says, "There was an attempt to lure Bodohal with a claim that we had the manifest."
Tikba diplomatically says, "He was unswayed, and there were some difficulties."
Raelee suddenly fades into view.
Speaking to Tikba, Leafiara murmurs, "Well alright then, never mind what I said earlier, too late to just say it was already destroyed..."
Speaking to Tikba, Kelfyr says, "I don't know that he was in a listening mood that night."
Juramis huskily says, "He does seem desperate to get to Tolmis, but he knows he can't get to him here unless someone hands Tolmis over. And, that doesn't seem entirely likely from this crowd."
Speaking to Raelee, Pukk exclaims, "You will scare people just appearing out of nowhere like that!"
Speaking to Leafiara, Guarrin says, "There is the matter of the Magister on the ship as well."
Speaking bluntly to Pukk, Raelee says, "Good."
Speaking flatly to Juramis, Kayse inquires, "Could we not use Ivorel to disguise himself as Tolmis and use HIM as bait?"
Speaking to Kayse, Leafiara considers, "I like it."
Speaking frankly to Juramis, Kayse says, "I mean that is his use."
Missoni curiously asks, "Ivorel?"
Speaking to Kayse, Kelfyr asks, "I don't know the fellow, would it stand up to reasonably close scrutiny?"
Kayse says, "Ivorel is Amos' courier who has a way of transforming his appearance."
Speaking to Juramis, Guarrin says, "Turning over anyone to a captain that fires on ships of a protectorate. Well, it seems extremely irresponsible, even if he was willing."
Missoni muses, "Interesting."
Dendum says, "If Bodohol can be lured on land must not be allowed back on ship or trap is pointless."
Tikba says, "Whatever else Tolmis may be, he is a Landing citizen now. We cannot hand him over in any case."
Mourdeyan asks, "Citizen?"
Speaking to Kelfyr, Leafiara says, "He has whole... face-sized masks that cling to his skin and then he can dispose of them after. Master of diguise."
Juramis huskily says, "I have contacts across Vornavis, Seareach, and someone on Teras working out a small deal in glaes for me. I could reach out to them to find out more information on this Remuliad."
Speaking to Kayse, Guarrin says, "It seems that idea has merit."
Kayse offhandedly says, "If Amos is requesting for Bodohal to be taken care of, perhaps he can offer us the resource to do so."
Speaking mildly to Mourdeyan, Tikba says, "There is a book, in Moot Hall. I believe you may write in it at any hour of the day."
Speaking to Juramis, Guarrin says, "I believe some inquiries have been made."
Guarrin casually glances at Raelee.
Speaking huskily to Kayse, Juramis says, "He has offered me and my resources."
Speaking to Leafiara, Kelfyr says, "And now I live having to know that's a thing."
Speaking to Guarrin, Raelee agrees, "Inquiries have been made."
Speaking to Juramis, Kayse says, "I was speaking about using Ivorel to disguise himself as Tolmis."
Kiyna says, "It was my intention to lure Bodohal to land from the start. The constable was made aware, and will make the arrest as soon as an opportunity is afforded him."
Kiyna says, "He should come, if the bait is good enough."
Speaking to Juramis, Dendum remarks, ""If can get ship to dock....can cross plank and board ship and subdue crew. Can do nothing while it floats around."
Kelfyr says, "It does feel like a plan with two necessary parts."
Speaking to Juramis, Dendum adds, "'Unless can open portal."
Kayse offers, "Or if Elidal wants to help so bad, perhaps he can offer us his brother to create an illusion of Tolmis."
Speaking quietly to Guarrin, Raelee murmurs, "The only thing Octaven could confirm was that she, too, has heard the rumor."
Juramis huskily says, "I will make the town council and its supporters an offer then."
Speaking quietly to Dendum, Ferghal asks, "Why not row out to the ship and sabotage it?"
Speaking to Ferghal, Tikba says, "I fear we have attempted this and were met with cannon fire."
Speaking to Ferghal, Kelfyr says, "He's already blown several small boats to timbers."
Speaking to Ferghal, Dendum says, ""Tried to damage ship when it was closer in Bay....could do nothing to it."
Dendum says, "It is mighty ship."
Speaking curiously to Raelee, Guarrin asks, "Of their assignment or current state? Is Octaven interested in aiding in this matter?"
Tiny flakes of snow flutter down from the sky.
Ferghal quietly says, "Too bad there is no way to effectively turn a boat invisible..."
Speaking to Guarrin, Raelee says, "That Magister Remuliad may be in Captain Bodohol's hold."
Juramis huskily says, "I will reach out to my contacts in the Empire to see what I can find out about this Magister Remuliad for you. In return I would like you all to consider a few plans and present them at your next council meeting."
[stepped away to spell up and... I'm not sure if I missed much, actually, since I think Juramis' words above weren't suggesting that he was going to share plans for people to discuss, but more that he wanted others to come up with plans]
Juramis huskily says, "I'll be at the opening of the bazaar. See you all then."
Speaking to Leafiara, Pukk says, "I called it so you can join Cryheart now."
Speaking amusedly to Leafiara, Tikba asks, "Will you be viewing the bazaar from a distance?"
Leafiara says, "Oh."
Leafiara asks, "Is that where we're going?"
Tikba says, "Juramis said the opening would be tonight."
Speaking to Leafiara, Dendum remarks, "'Come and see new jobs for landing."
Leafiara says, "In that case, have fun all."
Juramis wanders off.
Leafiara vaguely says, "I realize I voted in favor of the bazaar, but I... really am not interested in seeing it."
Dendum says, "And one confused settler..."
[Leafi leaves; next section cuts to a different character many minutes later. That said, the story progression was frontloaded into what you've read so far.]
Bazaar Opening
Elliathe says, "The snow comes again,"
Lylia says, "We expected a cold snap."
Elliathe says, "True the Seeress did promise storms after all."
Lylia says, "With seers, one never knows if such statements are metaphorical or simply practical."
Bakarus says, "Mentioned South ring road earlier."
Cryheart says, "Ahh."
Speaking neutrally to Cryheart, Raelee says, "Some news came to light in Solhaven this evening that might pertain to your interests."
Cryheart says, "Then we shall head to South Ring road."
Cryheart says, "Moving."
[forgot to join, caught up afterward]
[Shanty Town, The Garden]
Faded gravel pathways create a series of meandering trails that stretch throughout an expansive and verdant green garden bordered by raspberry bushes. Thick vegetation grows at the edges of the plot, while a rickety scarecrow stands guard over a wide field of pale flax. Several varieties of squash are clustered around tidy rows of carrots, tomatoes, pea pods, strawberries, lettuce and cabbage. A sturdy workbench rests beneath a tool rack holding a number of burlap sacks and stained shovels. You also see a shifting portal, a lively tawny deer mouse, the Gutstorm disk, the Elliathe disk, the Alosaka disk, the Stormyrain disk, the gauze-bound Missandai disk streaked with crimson bloodstains, the Guarrin disk, the blackened silver Ferghal disk, the bloodstained Xorus disk with scuffed and dented sides, the Lylia disk, an enraged sunburst spirit that is flying around, a lazy wild dark red dog, a pale-eyed shadowy black cat, a fluffy white cat, a wide carved wooden archway and a small faded ceramic bowl hanging from a nearby tree branch.
Also here: Alosaka, Bakarus, Town Councilor Kiyna, Mourdeyan, Bernadette, Sir Guarrin, Earthdiver, Lady Missandai, Ferghal, Missoni, Avalera, Magister Raelee, Tikba, Xorus, Imperatrix Lylia, Town Councilor Vaemyr, Hospitaller Yukito, Lady Elliathe, Stormyrain, Sir Cryheart
The voice of Gutstorm drunkenly slurs, "We losht agin Cryheart?"
Tikba says, "Juramis has said the Consortium's bazaar will be opening tonight."
Cryheart says, "No."
Kayse slowly asks, "I do not think it is in Shanty Town?"
Cryheart says, "Just seeing there are other areas in the garden."
Cryheart pets a lively tawny deer mouse, which nuzzles his hand softly.
Cryheart says, "Mouse."
[travel]
Kayse mutters, "Gutstorm I am not in the mood."
The tawny deer mouse squeaks at Cryheart.
Speaking to Lylia, Alosaka says, "I was pondering a strange question earlier..."
The voice of Gutstorm drunkenly slurs, "It dat time of da minoot?"
Speaking to Alosaka, Lylia says, "I find this quite shocking."
Cryheart says, "I dinnae think it is open yet."
The voice of Gutstorm drunkenly slurs, "We forsh open."
Avalera says, "That sounds like a reasonably bad idea."
The voice of Gutstorm drunkenly slurs, "No one know, it dokay."
The white cat gazes with interest at the bloodstained Xorus disk with scuffed and dented sides.
Speaking to a fluffy white cat, Xorus says, "No."
Avalera says, "If anything, your breath could likely act as a cannon and blast any doors open."
The voice of Gutstorm drunkenly slurs, "Good finkin."
The voice of Gutstorm drunkenly slurs, "Cryheart, ye gonna wait here? me need a few signsfer tonite feshibitiesh."
Cryheart says, "Giving it time for bazaar to open."
The voice of Gutstorm drunkenly slurs, "Me be back den, me shalootin yoo but yoo no shee."
Cryheart says, "Ok Gutstorm."
[Guts leaves and returns]
Gutstorm turns toward Cryheart and renders a sharp salute with his heart-shaped sign.
Cryheart asks, "What?"
Gutstorm drunkenly slurs, "Me armed."
[General] Amos thinks, "We shall usher in the grand opening of the Wehnimer's Landing Bazaar in just a few moments."
Gutstorm sadly slurs, "Amos....."
Gutstorm drunkenly slurs, "He not gettin a hug me sign."
Gutstorm put a bright pink heart-shaped sign reading "FREE HUGS!" in his keg-shaped pack.
Gutstorm removes a bright yellow sign reading "KICK ME!" from in his traveller's cloak.
Xorus says, "It would have been better if Goblyn had made a bazaar for the town."
[General] Lagavullin asks, "Where is the opening?"
Xorus says, "It would have been a 'bizarre' bazaar."
Gutstorm drunkenly slurs, "Dat kinna korny, but funny."
Xorus says, "Things must do what they do say."
Speaking to Cryheart, Vaemyr asks, "Amos on thoughts, do we need directions?"
Cryheart asks, "Oh...he is on the net?"
[General] Kiyna thinks, "Good evening, Amos."
[Realm] Yukito softly thinks, "She takes body parts as payment."
Cryheart says, "It is supposed to be on south ring road I heard."
Tikba says, "He said that the grand opening would be very soon."
[General] Cryheart asks, "Evening Amos, on South Ring road?"
[General] Lylia thinks, "Excellent news."
[General] Kayse affably thinks, "Fair evening, Amos. I hope the brisk winter chill is treating you well."
[General] Gutstorm drunkenly thinks, "Cryheart, come easht a bit."
[General] Amos thinks, "Yes, along South Ring Road. The winter chill is welcomed."
Evia says, "Maybe he'll come down with pleurosy."
Gutstorm drunkenly slurs, "Dere a close paff dataway."
Gutstorm points east.
Ferghal quietly says, "I'd say he was drunk, but that was redundant..."
[travel]
Cryheart asks, "What, Gutstorm?"
Evia says, "Prison."
Cryheart says, "Path is prison."
Tikba says, "I do not think it can be this far east."
Cryheart says, "Path is a hosue."
Evia says, "He passed out."
Ferghal quietly says, "Prestidigitorium..."
Cryheart says, "It is closed."
Cryheart says, "Moving westerly."
Gutstorm drunkenly slurs, "Oh not here?"
Someone in the crowd says, "There's some gate...."
Cryheart says, "Aye."
Evia asks, "In the shanty town garden?"
Evia says, "Maybe."
Tikba says, "I have heard there is a gate."
Lylia says, "Dubious."
[General] Ferghal asks, "Where should we meet you?"
[General] Pukk thinks, "At the opening."
Kiyna says, "The cat was outside it. Mongo."
[General] Amos thinks, "Look for the dark mithril gate along South Ring Road."
[Wehnimer's, South Ring Rd.]
The rough-hewn, pointed logs forming the palisade of the town's defensive wall are a constant companion along this route linking sections of Wehnimer's Landing to the bazaar, the square, and the waterfront via the southernmost road. You also see the Linvoker disk, the sparking Dendum disk, a resplendent obsidian black raven that is flying around, the Kelfyr disk, a grizzled porcupine, a huge orange cat, a wide dark mithril gate, a blanket of snow and a polished green steel lantern mounted on a wooden post.
Evia says, "Aha."
Cryheart says, "Ahhh."
Archious says, "This appears to be the correct location."
Gutstorm drunkenly slurs, "Dat gate new?"
Speaking to Cryheart, Vaemyr says, "This gate."
Cryheart says, "It is closed."
Linguist exclaims, "Heard there was a party!"
Cryheart says, "New shopping bazaar."
Sunwu exclaims, "Amos ain' gonna miss a chance to have a big reveal without 'im!"
Lord Amos's group just arrived.
Gutstorm drunkenly slurs, "Lylia ye got money on ye?"
Speaking to Amos, Vaemyr says, "Good evening."
Amos grins.
Amos says, "Good evening."
Speaking politely to Amos, Tikba greets, "Lord Amos."
Amos nods.
Cryheart says, "Good eve."
Amos smiles at Kayse. [well, tried to, but she was hidden]
Speaking to Juramis, Kelfyr says, "Mongo arrived as the vanguard."
Amos says, "You may all join me now."
Juramis huskily says, "Greetings, and good evening."
Alosaka says, "Phrasing, sir."
Amos says, "Tonight, I relieve you of your duty Sir Cryheart."
Amos smirks.
Speaking to Amos, Kiyna asks, "Are you faster than Cryheart, at least?"
[General] Nalver asks, "Aww wasch yall doont?"
Kiyna peers quizzically at Amos.
[General] Cryheart thinks, "Good evening, Yukito."
Amos says, "Speed is not always a benefit."
[General] Nalver thinks, "I dranks my lleepy meds already."
Stormyrain says, "I agree. Sometimes discretion is more valuable."
The voice of Gutstorm drunkenly slurs, "It be when ye in a hurdy."
Nyaria quietly says, "Need efficency too."
Stormyrain adds, "And reliability."
Mourdeyan says, "You never have to follow, besides."
Amos says, "I had hoped to see to this opening earlier, but alas, some business kept me occupied."
Vaemyr says, "We did get a nice looong stroll all along the south side of the town tonight though."
The voice of Gutstorm drunkenly slurs, "Plottin anudder town to takeover?"
Speaking to Amos, Vaemyr says, "Tis good to finally get it done though."
Amos says, "No, a sell, perhaps." [not particularly clear who this is responding to or whether that should be "sale"]
Amos waves his hand in a dismissive gesture.
Nyaria quietly asks, "Isnt that already in the works?"
Amos says, "A matter for another time."
Amos says, "The Darkstone Bay Consortium has been very, very excited to welcome new merchants to our town."
Amos says, "To help grow business, to help bring more prosperity to Wehnimer's Landing..."
The voice of Gutstorm drunkenly slurs, "Shpeakin of dat, do founnin membersh get royaltiesh?"
Amos says, "We should always be as the sea, and rise together."
Amos says, "Some merchants, have even found a new home here after the devastation of Talador."
Amos asks, "An ironic turn of events, no?"
Amos says, "But we welcome them all the same. All new members of the Darkstone Bay Consortium."
Amos asks, "Shall we then?"
Vaemyr says, "Indeed."
The voice of Gutstorm drunkenly slurs, "Ye fergot da key?"
Amos motions and a green-haired woman emerges from the crowd, her lithe form and slender face mostly obscured by the blue cloak wreathed about her frame. She settles before the gate, unlocking it, then disappearing into a crowd.
Lord Amos's group just went through a wide dark mithril gate.
[Landing Bazaar, Lawn]
The center of the bazaar opens into a wide grassy range, free of clutter and booths, the lush verdant meadow warmed by the moonlight above. Townspeople gather nearby, some quiet and others boisterous as they travel between nearby shops and booths. A cobblestone boulevard stretches to the north, bordered by several other roads and merchant structures. Three large ironwood trees ascend at the edge of the yard, blanketing half of the area in darkness. You also see a wide dark mithril gate.
Nyaria quietly asks, "Whats with the carving on the tree?"
Perigourd says, "A year, I'd guess."
[Landing Bazaar, Boulevard]
A broad circle of russet cobblestones creates a wide courtyard, the space decorated with clusters of iron-wrought benches and tall leafy green trees. Numerous roads lead off in every direction, each one eventually reconnecting to encircle the graveled expanse. The brazen voices of hawkers reverberate from all corners, carried in from merchant booths and shops in the distance.
Amos says, "Here is the main boulevard."
Amos says, "Tonight, we debut six new shops as part of the Darkstone Bay Consortium."
Speaking to Dendum, Nalver says, "I bet he stole hims."
Amos says, "As time passes, we hope to double that."
[Landing Bazaar, Baystone Byway]
Barrels of spices bearing brightly hued pigments line the outside of a bay window belonging to one of the shops. Along the pathway, crates of fresh produce and exotic flora are displayed to lure shoppers further inside. Children play nearby, the feeble clacking of their wooden swords muffled by the clanking metal of two red-armored guards patrolling the area. A small dusty kitten mews at the base of a tall oak tree, its bright eyes falling upon a tiny nest tucked among its branches. You also see a small white-walled shop.
Amos nods to some red-armored guards.
Evia says, "Go for triple."
[Patty's Cakes]
The small, white-walled shop holds the sweet mixed aroma of cinnamon, flour, and honey. A trio of aproned halfling maids move hurriedly about the room, restocking the shelves between taking orders. Several patrons shuffle about the store, perusing the variety of frosted pastries and other delicacies a freckle-nosed halfling baker sets upon a counter.
The voice of Gutstorm drunkenly slurs, "Dey da guysh who tacked ush lash year?"
Missandai says, "Oooh."
Speaking to Perigourd, Bakarus says, "She does good work it seems."
The voice of Gutstorm drunkenly slurs, "Oooh cakes."
Evia exclaims, "Baking!"
Amos says, "Patty's Cakes, a bakery and a shop that sells cooking ingredients. She is also from Talador, where our old store was destroyed."
Evia says, "At last, our own baking goods."
Cryheart says, "Order."
The baker waves and smiles at everyone.
Percivyl asks, "Does she has a baker's man?"
Speaking to Amos, Nalver says, "Where did you hire your private army? I'm thinking about taking over a town myself after watching your antics."
Linguist says, "I can't drink my milk."
Evia says, "This heralds more, and plentiful pie for everyone."
Guarrin politely says, "Good luck with your new business."
Cryheart says, "Owly would drool, if an owl could drool."
Amos smirks at Nalver.
Speaking to his creamy white butter, Bilz asks, "Why can't I eat you?"
Nalver glances at Amos and pouts.
The voice of Gutstorm drunkenly slurs, "Patty, ye need a no Owlie allowed shign, he gittin to fat."
Speaking to Cryheart, Raelee mentions, "Somewhat related..."
Amos asks, "Have you browsed the menu? Are we ready?"
Speaking to his cold cow's milk, Linguist asks, "You don't wanna be drank!?"
Evia says, "Those are ingredients."
Missandai whispers something to Ferghal.
Ferghal quietly exclaims, "Ready!"
Linguist says, "Ah."
Speaking to Cryheart, Raelee says, "Sohlmon Krisch has announced his intent to retire and pass the muffin stall to his nephew."
Udari says, "Is sure smells good here."
Speaking to Amos, Nalver says, "I'm not joking. I was thinking Sylvaerrend or maybe Icemule after the dust settles between the nepotistic council and Ta'Vaalor."
Cryheart says, "Is making me hungry for sweets."
Tikba uncertainly says, "You should not eat butter by the stick."
Amos says, "Patty promises to keep stocked with all of your baking and cooking needs, as well as some prepared pastries for your delight."
Speaking to Tikba, Linguist says, "That sounds like an opinion."
Nalver says, "Another time, maybe."
Ferghal quietly says, "Lady Paula does it..."

Bilz says, "Whats the fun in that."
Speaking curiously to Raelee, Guarrin says, "Oh? I imagine Sir Cryheart has funded an early retirement."
[Landing Bazaar, Baystone Byway]
A slender wooden post rises amidst some flowerbeds, hoisting a banner depicting an emblem of a red lion, its cloth crisp and wrinkle free. Multi-colored canopies decorate the edges of the road, each boutique boasting different goods to sell. Inside each tent, merchants peddle their wares, a mixture of boisterous exchanges echoing throughout the street. The mixed aroma of smoked meats drifts out from the open window of a nearby brick-lined shop. You also see a white-framed black modwir shop.
Speaking to Guarrin, Raelee says, "So it seems."
Kelfyr says, "That's one way to thicken up for the winter months."
Evia asks, "Does she have a backroom? patty?"
Amos glances at some vibrant flowerbeds.
Amos looks over at Evia and shakes his head.
Missandai says, "Oooh."
Evia says, "Oooh."
Evia says, "Trillium."
Evia says, "Leya's flower."
Amos nods.
[The Quick Prick]
Several glass display cases are staggered into three rows, each one spaced apart strategically to allow a wide berth for customers to pursue the gleaming inventory within. Heavy black brocade curtains are pulled back from a large front window, making way for an abundance of moonlight to brighten the entire shop. Wispy tendrils of flowery scented smoke drift across the vermillion-hued walls, as patrons move about after being greeted by a smiling curly-haired shopkeeper.
Cryheart says, "Who."
Cryheart says, "Hmmm."
Evia says, "I thought we said speed is not always best."
Cryheart says, "Interesting."
Tikba murmurs, "Oh, bleakstone and baystone."
Amos says, "A piercing shop is now open for the locals."
Evia says, "Golly@."
Kelfyr says, "Quite a selection."
The curly-haired shopkeeper smiles and stares out the large front window, idly thumbing the amulet that dangles from her freckled neck. She refocuses her gaze and says, "Talador may be lost, but the spirit of its people still remain, and we will never forget."
Amos says, "Correct. There are some blood marble, bleakstone, and baystone options."
Evia says, "Very lovely selection."
Vaemyr says, "Impressive selection."
Evia says, "Splendid indeed."
[General] Gutstorm drunkenly exclaims, "Oh, ice shkatin!"
Amos says, "We'll continue."
Speaking to Ferghal, Missandai says, "We definitely need to come back when we have a bit more time to peruse." Yukito nods.
Amos says, "These shops will remain open permanently."
Amos asks, "Well...as long as they stay current on their Consortium dues, no?"
Amos winks at a smiling curly-haired shopkeeper.
Amos smirks.

[Landing Bazaar, Modwir Lane]
The bustling atmosphere of the market intermixes with the relaxing sound of water bubbling from a lion-carved stone fountain. Vendors push carts up and down the cobblestone road, stopping occasionally to demonstrate their goods or to make a sale. The intoxicating aroma of coffee permeates the area, originating from the direction of one of the establishments. You also see a slate-roofed white ash shop.
[Blended Brew, Front Room]
Aisles of tall, cognac mistwood shelves are stocked with a plethora of jars holding a colorful array of herbs, each labeled with the tea blend it contains. Cutout trestles with shelves of ivory ash sit behind a sales counter, exhibiting tea kettles, cups, and saucers, the items varying in material and brightly painted colors. Across from the carved white ash door, a moss and flora mural hangs from the back wall of the shop, its plant life lending an earthy smell to the floorspace.
Evia says, "Wishing fount."
Cryheart says, "Here ye go, Gutstorm."
Speaking to Amos, Lylia says, "Excellent -- and I hope they intend to bring in novel designs from time to time. Keep piquing my interest."
Missandai says, "Oooh."
Amos nods at Lylia.
Cryheart says, "A...tea."
Evia says, "Oooh my what have we here."
Kiyna says, "Tea shop? Now I am much more interested."
Cryheart says, "Shop."
Vaemyr says, "Oh a teashop."
Kelfyr says, "Smells lovely in here."
Amos says, "The Blended Brew, offering tea, coffee, and cigars in the bar below."
[General] Gutstorm drunkenly asks, "Lylia, deez ice shkatesh cosht ten thoushan shilver, ye cubber me?"
Cryheart says, "Nice."
Sunwu says, "Thought I smelled smokeables."
Speaking to himself, Bilz says, "Don't spill the tea."
Amos says, "Several packets available to brew your own teas and coffees."
Udari says, "A fancy shop."
[Blended Brew, Sitting Room]
Cushioned loveseats and decorative chairs in a color spectrum of green hues litter the open, airy floor plan. Hand-painted silk walls depict abstract herbs and flowers cascading from ceiling to floor in a repetitive pattern. Beams of moonlight stream through an arched window, the gossamer curtains lightly moving with the slightest hint of air as patrons walk by. A white ash sideboard curves around an antique pewter stove topped with a gilt-foiled white ceramic kettle. You also see a silk-wrapped bamboo bin and a white ash door.
[General] Lylia asks, "Ten thousand? I do not have quite that much, but I believe I could stop by the bank. Will it result in your breaking anything important?"
Missandai says, "Oooh."
Evia says, "Quite lovely."
Speaking to Amos, Kiyna asks, "The bar is... below?"
Udari says, "I can see people hosting tea parties in the small park."
Amos says, "Here, in the sitting room, you'll find many additives for your brewing needs."
Cryheart says, "Impressive."
Missandai says, "This is much better than the shop in Ta'Illistim..."
Amos says, "Of course it is Missandai."
Missandai flushes slightly, some color reaching her cheeks.
Evia says, "Even petals..."
Evia says, "Impressive."
Nalver asks, "Do the bottles hold things after they are emptied of their contents?"
Cryheart says, "Bottles of ingredients for the tea it seems."
[General] Pukk thinks, "I think Gut's charm is winning Lylia over."
Speaking to Ferghal, Missandai says, "We are going to be spending a bit of time here."
Cryheart says, "A place to chat and sip tea."
Nalver says, "Actually, I'm about to fall asleep where I'm standing."
Evia asks, "I wonder is this one of those brand new fast-cooking stoves?"
Tikba offers Kayse a Wehnimer's promissory note.
Kayse accepts Tikba's promissory note.
Town Councilor Kayse just went west.
Ferghal sings:
"Tea, for two..."
Speaking to Tikba, Kiyna asks, "You want something?"
Speaking amusedly to Kiyna, Tikba says, "She did."
Udari says, "Thats something those noble women do while discussing their husbands and dirty little secrets."
Evia asks, "Do they?"
Speaking quietly to Missandai, Ferghal exclaims, "Craft meetings!"
Amos smiles.
Speaking to Amos, Udari asks, "This marketplace is funded by the Consortium?"
Amos nods at Udari.
Amos says, "Completely."
Amos nods at Udari.
Udari says, "Business must be good."
Speaking coolly to Udari, Lylia says, "I was unaware that discussing 'dirty little secrets' was unique to women, but that may have been because I was discussing the erasure of Glaoveln or diplomatic relations with Ta'Vaalor at the time."
Amos says, "Beyond the door..."
Amos says, "Which typically, requires you to knock a few times..."
Amos says, "We shall see if they'll accomodate us all at once..."
Tikba says, "Perhaps we should take the kettle off first."
Cryheart says, "Tight fit."
As Amos attempts to enter a white ash door, it quickly slams shut in front of him!
Amos smirks.
Cryheart says, "Heh."
Amos knocks on a white ash door.
Amos knocks on a white ash door.
Amos knocks on a white ash door.
[bunch of knocking spam]
Earthdiver says, "Cryheart..."
Earthdiver exclaims, "Stop going through random doors!"
Evia says, "Clever."
Amos knocks on a white ash door.
As Amos knocks on a white ash door for the third time, a sharp click emanates from within.
[...but someone opens a portal that's a "doorway" and he accidentally enters that instead of the right door, so I'm skipping ahead to when everyone gets back to the door]

[mass knocking spam from everyone now]
Juramis huskily asks, "This is when you have to really ask yourself. Do you want to know what's on the other side of this door?"
Tikba amusedly says, "I will stay out here."
Speaking to Juramis, Lylia says, "Always."
Kelfyr says, "Ok, this is rather a lot of knocking."
Speaking to Juramis, Kiyna says, "At this point, he can keep his secrets."
Udari says, "Thats got to be annoying."
Xorus says, "That never works. Never." [he cast at the door]
Dendum says, "Think this doesnt work with many knockers."
Speaking to Tikba, Missoni agrees, "I can wait."
Lord Amos just arrived.
Speaking to Juramis, Bellaja says, "Not enough to join in."
Speaking drunkenly to a white ash door, Gutstorm slurs, "Open shaysh-a-me."
Tikba says, "We must take turns."
Amos says, "For the sake of ease..."
Vaemyr says, "I think we might need to form a line."
Amos says, "Join me."
Speaking to Xorus, Lylia says, "Until that one magical time when it does."
Tikba says, "If it opens for one of us, that one must enter."
Gutstorm drunkenly slurs, "Me gotta pair."
Xorus says, "I did make it through some magical barriers in Thrayzar's mind that way."
Speaking to Tikba, Vaemyr says, "It seems like if someone else tries to enter after it opens for someone it refuses your entry."

A cloud of clove-scented haze lingers over the top of corbeau leather armchairs that are clustered in dimly lit corners. Wrapping around the lounge, an ornately carved modwir bar topped in a gilded viridian marble is attended to by a sharply dressed bartender. Rows of velvet-padded stools line the counter, offering a view of the ledge housing bottles of liquid ranging from amber to honey-hued. Backlit shelves angle downward to display cigar boxes and their contents behind walls of thin glass. You also see the blackened silver Ferghal disk, a pale-eyed shadowy black cat and a white ash door.
Amos nods.
Speaking to Amos, Kiyna asks, "Might I suggest a door that simply opens?"
Amos says, "It won't be so busy often..."
Amos smirks at Kiyna.
Speaking to Kiyna, Bellaja says, "Costs extra."
Speaking to Kiyna, Timear says, "Then it would not be a door, it would be ajar."
Evia says, "My goodness."
Amos says, "You will find drinks on the bar, and cigars to be ordered."
[General] Candor asks, "Guess whom?"
Kiyna says, "Eugh. The smoke room, huh. Never mind, keep the door closed."
Speaking to her Faendryl absinthe, Missandai says, "You will be a good friend of mine."
[General] Candor exclaims, "Woo hoo HOO!"
Guarrin curiously says, "No pipe tobacco? Perhaps one of the other shops."
Evia says, "The builders, designers, merchandisers and all, have all outdone themselves."
Amos says, "In time perhaps."
Amos nods at Guarrin.
Amos glances at a lion-carved stone fountain.
Guarrin nods appreciatively at Amos.
Amos says, "Spectacular choice."
Amos nods to a lion-carved stone fountain.
Speaking to a lion-carved stone fountain, Evia asks, "Dues depository?"
[Landing Bazaar, Modwir Lane]
A thicket of modwir trees surges along one edge of the road, creating a blanket of darkness to envelope the exteriors of a handful of shops. Children run playfully along the store fronts, peeking into each colorful window display before moving on to the next one. A muted tune hangs in the distance, originating from an elven minstrel perched upon the edge of a wrought-iron bench, politely thanking shoppers that toss coins into a jar at his feet. You also see the Fionola disk, a huge modwir tree in the middle of the lane and a light blue modwir shop.
Guarrin says, "Yes, there is a common theme."
Amos glances at a huge modwir tree in the middle of the lane.
Amos shakes the modwir tree, but can't quite get anything to fall from it.
Alosaka says, "It was like that when I found it."
Juramis nods in agreement.
Amos smirks at a huge modwir tree in the middle of the lane.
[The Rhimar Rink, Entrance]
Modwir walls enclose the well-sized shop, their surfaces colored with a whorled pattern of deep and light blues. Small child-sized handprints of white paint are scattered along the walls, each one containing a scribbled name, and shaped to resemble a falling snowflake. A large window opens near the entrance, where a burly giantman greets visitors. A crowd of onlookers stand on the outside of a half-walled arena, watching as several people skate along a stretch of ice.
Amos says, "The Rhimar Rink."
Missandai exclaims, "Ice skates!"
Amos says, "You may place an order here, to get ice skates you can wear in....there."
Amos points at a half-walled arena.
Bellaja says, "How exciting."
Thrassus says, "Ah, something to make sure the empaths never get bored outside of invasions."
Amos says, "We won't go out on the ice tonight."
Vaemyr says, "I'm sure this should be incredibly fun."
Tikba says, "An achievement."
Speaking to Thrassus, Alosaka exclaims, "A brand new way to stage murders!"
Speaking to Lylia, Evia says, "We are quite uptown now..almost..maybe."

A muted tune hangs in the distance, originating from an elven minstrel perched upon the edge of a wrought-iron bench, politely thanking shoppers that toss coins into a jar at his feet. You also see the Kelfyr disk, a grizzled porcupine, a huge modwir tree in the middle of the lane and a light blue modwir shop.
Lylia says, "Not so sure about those."
[Landing Bazaar, Walkar Avenue]
Merchants busy themselves outside their pavilions, drawing large crowds to observe them work on their crafts. Textiles of vibrant prismatic colors hang from a few posts of the outdoor shops, the fabrics eerily waving in the winds. The constant clang of a hammer on metal reverberates from behind a large thatch-roofed building, a plume of dark smoke billowing upwards. Several thin hounds dart about the street, scratching at barrels and pressing noses to the ground, fast on the trail of their next meal. You also see a brown-paneled oak building.
Juramis huskily says, "A very interesting use for that metal."
Kiyna says, "Isn't there enough ice outside? The kids play with the cold guardians enough as it is."
Amos says, "Walkar Avenue."
Xorus says, "The guard rails should be made of drakar. To keep it interesting."
[The Blue Orchid]
Glass-paned lanterns hang from wooden beams along the ceiling casting a glow throughout the area. The walls are decorated with several framed paintings of blue orchids, and a low counter is cluttered with an abundance of ink bottles and an assortment of needles. Silk onyx curtains border a wide window, the display showcasing multi-hued stock tattoo drawings. In the back, a muscular tattoo artist leans over a writing desk, an inked-hand diligently sketching a design on a piece of vellum. You also see a cup of fresh cold cow's milk, a large steel-framed mirror and a modwir-framed tattoo display.
Amos says, "The Blue Orchid. A place to find ink for your skin."
Missandai says, "Ah. Tattoos."
'Amos says, "I am told, there will be a new series of tattoos available in the near future."
Amos asks, "Exclusive to this shop, no?"
Gutstorm drunkenly slurs, "Oh, she lot sheeper den da monkiesh around town."
The artist nods.
Bellaja says, "That sounds exciting."

[Landing Bazaar, Walkar Avenue]
Each side of the lane is fringed with several sturdy shops, their smooth slate roofs capturing some of the glint from the moonlight above. A pennant stitched with the image of a waraxe flaps about, tethered to a long wooden post that stretches above a carved sandstone statue. A cluster of wrought-iron chairs and tables litter the outside, allowing customers a place to rest and watch the crowds. You also see a simple modwir shop.
Amos points at a carved sandstone statue.
[General] Gutstorm drunkenly thinks, "Candow, lotta pocket topilfer in da new bazaar on shout ring road, lookfer da mitral gate."
Bellaja says, "Walkar."
[Relocated Reverence]
The walls of this simple shop are decorated with talismans and symbols of worship displayed on rows of small iron hooks. Joined modwir counters block access to the walls, leaving just enough space behind them for a solemn green-robed pilgrim to wander between and attend to patrons who wish to make a purchase. Hanging from the ceiling, a flickering lantern dangles from a rather ordinary iron chain.
Xorus asks, "Where is his armor?"
Amos asks, "I believe you know Filanci?"
Evia says, "Hmm."
A solemn green-robed pilgrim says, "Welcome to the shop, everyone."
Kelfyr says, "Really got set up in a hurry."
Gutstorm drunkenly slurs, "Shishter Filanci, dat da girl Dendum reshcooed."
Speaking to a solemn green-robed pilgrim, Bellaja says, "Thank you for having us."
Evia asks, "What are these?"
Kiyna asks, "These are... decorative, then?"
Lylia says, "Good to see you again, and under happier circumstances."
Speaking to Kiyna, Tikba says, "They are holy symbols."
Speaking to Kiyna, Tikba says, "You would not like them."
A solemn green-robed pilgrim says, "These are all talismans. Symbols of faith."
Evia says, "We have lost Sir Cryheart along the blvs."
Speaking to Tikba, Kiyna agrees, "You're right. Not interested."
Gutstorm drunkenly slurs, "Ye got any Gutstorm Talishmensh?"
Raelee quietly observes, "... the collection is incomplete."
Cryheart says, "Whew."
Speaking quietly to Gutstorm, Ferghal asks, "Do they make one instantly drunk?"
Amos peers quizzically at Raelee.
A solemn green-robed pilgrim exclaims, "These are the ones I know how to make. Hope you like them!"
Lylia diplomatically says, "I am sure they shall serve the faithful well."
Speaking to Amos, Raelee says, "... the Grandfather is not represented amongst the wares."
Gutstorm drunkenly slurs, "Ye know, me shwear, deez merchant jush shop open to empty da me bank moniesh."
Juramis smiles.
Amos says, "Perhaps it is all that is offered at this time. I for one am impressed by the turnaround time..."
Amos says, "Perhaps in time."
Amos nods at Raelee.

Alosaka says, "That was a beautiful crown talisman she had."
Speaking to Amos, Raelee says, "... all things, in time."
[General] Chayesor thinks, "Go hunt your own loot and keep outta my pockets Candor."
Tikba diplomatically says, "I am glad to see so many options."
Lylia says, "These shops absolutely open to drain you of your silvers, Gutstorm."
Evia says, "Hopefully so many can be employed in these."
Juramis huskily says, "Perhaps not all faiths were recognized in Talador. I am not too familiar with her customs, and she was from that region."
Juramis shrugs at Raelee.
Speaking to Raelee, Kayse says, "Aeia is not represented either, which is....understandable...considering."
Evia says, "Soon there is probably to be a flax weavers guilde."
Speaking to Juramis, Raelee says, "It would be curious regarding the logic of the exclusion, if it were based on local custom."
Amos says, "We would like to thank of course, all members and leaders of the Darkstone Bay Consortium, and the new merchant members who have taken the risk in opening a new business and helping this town grow."
Speaking drunkenly to Amos, Gutstorm slurs, "Yoo welcome."
Speaking to Juramis, Raelee says, "Lornon is often a controversial subject, but some are... reviled more than others."
Missoni says, "It is a lovely bazaar."
Speaking mildly to Raelee, Tikba agrees, "Yes."
Xorus says, "Praise Marlu."
Lylia says, "Yes, quite. The boutique in town must surely work to keep up."
Speaking drunkenly to Xorus, Gutstorm slurs, "You get paid yet?"
Speaking to Amos, Vaemyr says, "Tis good to finally see all that hard work everyone did come together."
[General] Yukito softly thinks, "These shops are wonderful."
Amos nods at Vaemyr.
Falvicar whispers something to Avalera.
[General] Lylia thinks, "They certainly are."
Xorus says, "I should certainly hope so."
[General] Dwi asks, "Do dey trade fer feras broadswords?"
Falvicar whispers something to Avalera.
Archious neutrally says, "Fear of the misunderstood is something of a local custom."
Speaking to Amos, Kiyna says, "I don't generally see eye to eye with you... and I shan't until someone brings me several boxes."
Amos says, "Please, stay awhile if you desire, support local business. I've some business to attend to myself. It seems our pylon ships have caught the interest of a few parties seeking one or two."
Amos chuckles.
Speaking to Yukito, Guarrin says, "Indeed. I am pleased to see some of the individuals from the settlement opening shops as well."
Amos says, "Of course, that is no surprise."
Speaking to Amos, Kayse congratulates, "A very impressive area. I look forward to seeing it grow."
Missandai whispers something to Ferghal.
Speaking to Amos, Kiyna says, "But I appreciate all the work you've done here."
Drazaa states, "Thoughtful effort has been put into the construction of this bazaar. In time for the Solstice and well as a place for further industry and commerce in the Landing."
Amos nods at Kayse.
Amos nods at Kiyna.
Speaking to Amos, Tikba says, "Thank you for the tour, Lord Amos."
[General] Gutstorm asks, "Eh?"
Evia asks, "But...where is the knitting shop?"
Juramis bows to Amos.
Amos says, "In time, we hope to double the shops or more."
Speaking to Amos, Vaemyr says, "Didn't know the ships were for sale."
Alosaka says, "A fine gem of commerce. It will shine brightly enough to illuminate this town for all the world's traders."
[General] Dwi slyly thinks, "I recober'd mos da ones I was chuckin at stuff last week."
Amos says, "Everything is for sale Vaemyr."
Vaemyr grins.
[General] Candor exclaims, "Well it's been fun and profitable but I gotta admit that the take is down tonight. What you people doing...celebrating the holiday season or something? Get out there and get some gems!"
Sunwu says, "Fine construction. Hope they reinforced th' beams, what with th' boulders an' all."
Speaking wryly to Vaemyr, Kayse teases, "Including you. Everyone has a price."
Amos nods at Juramis.
Gutstorm drunkenly slurs, "Me will shell Vaemyr fer ten shilver, any taker?"
Speaking to Amos, Percivyl says, "Thank you for the tour."
Amos says, "Juramis, I've business with the Prince. You may stay if you'd like."
Amos nods at Juramis.
Speaking to Amos, Missandai says, "Thank you for the tour, Lord Amos."
Amos says, "Good evening to all of you."
Thrassus asks, "Prince who?"
[General] Candor thinks, "That wasn't a request. Night all."
Speaking to Amos, Lylia says, "I know some importers who...well. There is time to discuss it another time."
Bernadette softly says, "Mite look around."
Amos nods at Lylia.
Lord Amos just went south.
