Synopsis

Early in the night, a Remnant holds a young Rook captive and shoots him in the back of the head to topple off the rooftop. Councilor Kayse and Wolfloner move to the roof of Moot Hall to investigate, but crossbow clicks in the shadows herald their assassinations too! However, no further move is made and all goes calm for the time being...

Hours later, adventurers speak with Magister Remuliad at Helga's, then later Emissary Samfelt in the Imperial camp. [OOC note: I (Leafiara's player) have no idea what happened at these two things. Someone else can fill in.]

Afterward, adventurers and Samfelt meet with Dikirk the reiver at Luinne Bheinn. Dikirk reminds the Barony of Darkstone that it's not welcome--but, nonetheless, he'll give warning that the Ember Vale's scouts have been watching them for many nights. He calls the lowlands blind to the ways of war, says they should have listened, and suggests they prepare for battle and not waste more time in Dikirk's church.

Samfelt protests that he wants peace and Dikirk says there was never a time for words with the war clan; Samfelt says what of Luinne Bheinn; Dikirk says they'll pray that peace comes swiftly, and if the war clan wins then they'll have it, but if Darkstone wins then they'll pray for peace to continue. He offers Koar's blessing for the coming hours.

Taking the cue, people go to prepare for battle with the Ember Vale. The militia and town guards gather in the Landing, Hendoran and Bourthian soldiers at the outpost, and patchwork fighters at the Imperial camp.

A caravan approaches beyond the Upper Trollfang toward Aillidh Brae, but after the wagons are surrounded by reivers, Commander Sablo and his soldiers burst out of the wagons and go on the offensive! A warhorn sounds from Luinne Bheinn and the battle commences in earnest near the mountains up through the mine road. Eventually reivers attack at the Landing gates too, then spiders swarm the streets! Young militiamen race to fight them off.

Outside, Imperial soldiers clash with reivers beyond the valley and Luinne Bheinn, then Remnants move along the trees in the Upper Trollfang. Meanwhile, Marshal Stormyrain and Sir Cryheart request no attacks against the soldiers outside the gates, but Gutstorm and Sleepy believe it does the Landing a service to protect town from them and go on the offensive. So does Pukk, though he attempts diplomacy and asking them to leave, then fires when they don't. The night watchman arrests him for his efforts and Gutstorm explains that he has to do those things outside the walls.

Explosions hit the Upper Trollfang and settlers with singed clothing run toward the Dragonsclaw, but Remnants fire crossbows to drop several of them. Another settler panics and runs and gets shot into a tree, but a spider cocoons him and pulls him away. Sablo tells the "fools" not to run free, but stay in packs and get the soldiers to escort them. He says some wagons broke off and two exploded and he needs help in the valley before his men lose ground to the reivers. Perigourd and Sablo call for help escorting lost settlers to the camp.

Elsewhere, an explosion hits the Landing militia barracks, now ablaze--then another hits the Rusty Cutlass! Both fires are put out rather quickly, but Remnants persist in an attack against the militia barracks, then several dozen surround Leafiara elsewhere on North Ring Road with a call of "For Rysus you witch!"... before she, Dergotean, and Thaxius kill them all.

Meanwhile, the last caravans make it to the settlement, a warhorn from the Ember Vale finally sounds to pull back, and the blood-drenched Sablo returns to the camp. People introduce him to Samfelt before he (Samfelt) goes to help the new arrivals. People ask Sablo if he's caught up on the news; Sablo says it might be days behind, but he knows of the splinters and says "Two reivers, two rooks. Four graves." Councilor Vaemyr says it seems like the only end to this is the destruction of either the camp or the Ember Vale; Sablo asks if he expected anything less; Vaemyr says no, but he always hopes people will see reason; Sablo compares the reivers to a whole village of grifflet crushers and says hope doesn't win wars, and they can drink to it their enemy is dead and gone. Pukk, over thoughts, says that "some of us Rooks" saved settlers when they didn't have to; Sablo asks if he's a Rook; Pukk says yes, he's proud to protect his town and he protected settlers too.

Sablo thanks gathered adventurers on behalf of the settlers, future Baron Elidal, and himself. He inquires about the location of the Ember Vale and people relay how they entered before. He gripes about it always being magic, but says his forces we'll find it, then the Landing can do its thing. Someone privately tells Sablo about someone arming the reivers and Jadedragan confirms it was him. Before Sablo gets to that, he breaks the bones in Gutstorm's hand for putting a sign on him, then tells Jadedragan he'll speak to Elidal to see how he wants to deal with it. Sablo eventually closes the night by telling everyone it was well fought and wishing them good night.

Remnants' Message

On a nearby rooftop, a dark hooded figure slowly walks into view. A silver beaked mask peeks out from the shadow of their cowl. Another shadowy figure stands behind it.

The second black-shrouded figure reaches out in front of him and dramatically rips off the Rook's mask, revealing the plain face of a young man. The unmasked Rook looks rather frightened, with eyes wide, but jaw clenched to resist any public outcry. The shrouded figure behind him tosses the mask to the ground, then removes a hand crossbow before bringing it up to the back of the Rook's head. Click. The unmasked Rook dies as he stood, silent and afraid, and topples off the rooftop where he lands among a horrified crowd of townspeople below. The black-shrouded assassin looks down to the street, giving his kill one final glance, then darts off into the distance.

[Shortly afterward, Kayse and Wolfloner go to check the roof of Moot Hall, but the clicks of crossbows precede them being assassinated too!]

Interim

Speaking with Dirkirk

[Town Square Central]

This is the heart of the main square of Wehnimer's Landing. The impromptu shops of the bazaar are clustered around this central gathering place, where townsfolk, travellers, and adventurers meet to talk, conspire or raise expeditions to the far-flung reaches of Elanith. At the north end, an old well, with moss-covered stones and a craggy roof, is shaded from the moonlight by a strong, robust tree. The oak is tall and straight, and it is apparent that the roots run deep. You also see the Peche disk, the Kristein disk, the spinning Mattch disk, an artic white wolf, the palm frond-shaped Leafiara disk, a fluffy ginger cat that is sitting, the Niffly disk, a buoyant glacier spirit that is flying around, the seaweed-covered Neopuron disk, the Belrum disk, a sinuous bone white serpent, a pale-faced coppery barn owl that is flying around, an old well, some wide stone benches with some stuff on it, an herbal remedy donation bin and a round silver-banded barrel.

Also here: Peche, Pukk, Whimweaver Leafiara, Zeysa, Lady Coriencia, Great Lady Aspyre, Brenyl, Mattch, Niffly, Lord Nordred, Journeyman Saxson, Aeysa, Great Lady Barnessa, Neopuron, Belrum, Zekla, Ussey

[Gutstorm sends Leafi a thought that they're at the Imperial camp; she says "okay" in an "I've heard you, but also I don't care" sort of way. Gutstorm then says they're going to talk to Dikirk the reiver...]

Leafiara says, "Hmm, they're going to talk to the reivers."

Leafiara says, "I guess that's interesting enough to go see about."

Pukk says, "Let's join them."

Pukk asks, "Where are they at?"

[Leafi groups Pukk]

Pukk exclaims, "Yay!"

[travel]

Leafiara says, "They're in the camp, which I'm not stepping into, but once they come out..."

[Lower Dragonsclaw, Forest]

Pine cones are scattered about the ground here, knocked down by the movement of small animals through the trees and the wind that buffets this outlying section of the forest. You also see a wide dirt-covered trail.

You peer down a wide dirt-covered trail and see...

[Imperial Campsite]

Stumps pepper the spacious clearing, as stacked logs leave evidence of their recent removal. A grove of trees surrounds the area, leaving a natural palisade to add some security to the campsite. You also see a sharp-nosed grey puppy with long corded fur, the Falvicar disk, a grizzled giant purple squirrel with onyx black eyes, the Bellaja disk, a fluffy white cat, the Kelfyr disk, the Stormyrain disk, the skull-shaped Irval disk, the Skorrian disk, the Kialeigh disk, the malachite Jadedragan disk, the web-draped Missoni disk, a lazy wild crimson dog, a steel-roofed huge wooden tower, a polished bronze lantern mounted on a wooden post and a wide dirt-covered trail.

Also here: Town Councilor Vaemyr, Sarissa Tayler, Conquerer of Reim Falvicar, Bellaja, Earthdiver, Stormyrain, Avrey, Kelfyr, Goldstr, Irval, Town Councilor Kiyna, Lady Emperia, Skorrian, Dame Evia, Kialeigh, Imperatrix Lylia, Xorus, Jadedragan, Magister Raelee, Sir Cryheart, Missoni, Lord Thrassus, Seaward Gutstorm, Emissary Samfelt

Leafiara says, "Think this is the spot."

Leafiara says, "Once they step out, we can join whoever."

Pukk asks, "Which way is the camp?"

Leafiara says, "Or follow them if they run fast."

[Realm] Perigourd thinks, "Dikirk said it is alright to meet within the church, but to come in small groups and move quickly through the village so as not to cause a panic."

Pukk says, "Ah."

Pukk says, "There they are."

Leafiara says, "Oh, apparently everyone's supposed to go in small groups anyway."

Leafiara says, "Okay, heading over there."

[travel]

Leafiara says, "Hmm, a church."

Pukk says, "Aha."

[Luinne Bheinn, Church]

This part of the church is filled with heavy, wooden pews. Hauling the pews up to this mountain settlement must have been a long and strenuous affair. Red, amber and blue lights caress the top portion of the pews. An oaken door leads outside.

Leafiara says, "Aha."

Leafiara says, "Now we wait."

Suddenly you have the strangest feeling that you are being watched.

The feeling fades as quickly as it came.

Pukk says, "Somebody is looking for us."

Leafiara says, "Probably Guts."

Leafiara says, "He's the one who told me."

Town Councilor Vaemyr's group just arrived.

Town Councilor Vaemyr's group just went east.

[Luinne Bheinn, Church]

Bathed in warm colors, a wooden pulpit dominates this area. Behind the pulpit is a hexagonal window inlaid with red, amber and blue crystal panes. A large oak tablet hangs on the wall. You also see a venerable one-eyed reiver that is kneeling.

Also here: Kialeigh, Irval, Town Councilor Kiyna, Town Councilor Vaemyr

Pukk and your artic white wolf followed.

Leafiara says, "Ah."

Leafiara cheerfully greets, "Good eve!"

Irval asks, "Dikirk is it?"

A venerable one-eyed reiver looks up from his prayers, a gleam of light in his eyes.

A venerable one-eyed reiver stands up.

A venerable one-eyed reiver nods.

A venerable one-eyed reiver says, "I am Dikirk."

A venerable one-eyed reiver says, "Pastor of this church. Welcome."

Irval nods once.

Leafiara amiably says, "Glad to be here."

A venerable one-eyed reiver asks, "Is there more of you coming?"

Vaemyr says, "Good evening, aye but in small groups."

Kelfyr just moved quietly into the room, his group following closely.

Irval says, "Quite the flock but separate willing to come together to what must be done one might say."

A venerable one-eyed reiver says, "There is no need for weapons here."

Irval stows his dawn surita runestaff in his black runestaff sling with a swirl of eerie grey miasma. As it leaves his hands, the illumination of its sigils slowly ebbs away.

Pukk put a sephwir hand crossbow in his bow sling.

Pukk put a sephwir hand crossbow in his bow sling.

Pukk bows respectfully before a venerable one-eyed reiver, his eyes fixed firmly on the ground.

Pukk says, "My apologies."

Pukk says, "I was lacking my manners."

Conquerer of Reim Perigourd's group just arrived.

Missoni greets, "Dikirk."

A venerable one-eyed reiver says, "The reivers respect the sword. But in this moment, I believe Koar is with us here and weapons would have no purpose."

Speaking to a venerable one-eyed reiver, Perigourd says, "Dikirk, Emissary Samfelt of the Darkstone Barony."

Speaking to Samfelt, Perigourd says, "Emissary Samfelt, this is Dikirk of the clan of Luinne Bhienn."

Samfelt bows to a venerable one-eyed reiver.

Perigourd corrects, "Bheinn, rather."

Samfelt deeply says, "Dikirk of Luinne Bheinn, thank you for being patient and allowing us to meet in your church."

A venerable one-eyed reiver nods at Samfelt.

A venerable one-eyed reiver says, "You are not welcome here, Emissary of Darkstone. But I will give you warning."

Pukk whispers something to Leafiara.

A venerable one-eyed reiver says, "The Ember Vale does not sleep. Their scouts watch you, and have been for many nights. I have seen them moving along the hills."

A venerable one-eyed reiver says, "You are blind to the ways of war, child of the lowlands."

A venerable one-eyed reiver says, "You should have listened."

Samfelt frowns.

A venerable one-eyed reiver says, "I suggest you prepare for a battle, and do not waste your time in this church any further."

Samfelt deeply says, "B-but. We want peace."

[General] Gutstorm drunkenly asks, "Dat him way to shay burn da church?"

Samfelt deeply says, "I have come to talk."

[General] The ghost of Fugue thinks, "Not in as much. It was more of a plea for such spiritual folk to come and try to pray me back to life."

A venerable one-eyed reiver says, "The time for words was never an option with the war clan. They wished a taste for battle, to embrace the old ways of our people. They do not pray with us, and they have fallen into chaos."

Irval says, "The Hag's son was always going to come to be fair, Your just the best scapegoat currently."

Samfelt deeply asks, "What of your people? The ones who do not want war?"

Speaking to a venerable one-eyed reiver, Goldstr says, "Dao ole way was Agaisnt da Krol Aye? As we be."

Jadedragan says, "Except the krol we use to further our own means."

A venerable one-eyed reiver says, "We will pray that peace comes swiftly. If the war clan wins, we have peace. If Darkstone wins, we will pray for peace to continue. The blood will flow, and there will be peace. May Koar's blessing be upon you in the coming hours."

Evia whispers something to Shinann.

Samfelt deeply asks, "Hours? What do you mean?"

Pukk says, "Uh oh."

Speaking to Samfelt, Vaemyr says, "The ember vale going to attack tonight."

Samfelt deeply exclaims, "We need to prepare!"

Speaking to Samfelt, Perigourd says, "You should perhaps prepare the defenses.."

Avrey says, "Prepare."

Irval says, "He sanod samf."

Speaking thoughtfully to a venerable one-eyed reiver, Missoni asks, "Is there anything you can tell us of an alliance they have made with Arachne?"

A venerable one-eyed reiver says, "I will finish my prayers now."

A venerable one-eyed reiver turns around.

Speaking to a venerable one-eyed reiver, Perigourd says, "Before you do, I would also caution you, and those of the clan wishing peace."

Speaking appreciatively to a venerable one-eyed reiver, Leafiara says, "Thank you for your hospitality and clarity of position."

A venerable one-eyed reiver kneels down.

A venerable one-eyed reiver begins to chant some prayers.

Samfelt frowns.

Missoni softly says, "Thank you for agreeing to this talk."

Irval says, "Time to go."

Kialeigh says, "Better go alert some people."

Samfelt nods.

Samfelt deeply says, "It is time we left."

[General] Avrey thinks, "Prepare the defenses."

Missoni says, "I am going to use Voln's powers to return. Any who wish should gather close."

Pukk says, "Coming." [Leafi was whispering if he wanted to stay or come back to town with her]

Awaiting Battle

[fog]

[Wehnimer's, Erebor Square]

The dome of a large temple rises above this peaceful square, silhouetted against the starlit sky. The circular building is surrounded by marble porticos and teak columns, and a promenade leads to two pillars, through which the inner sanctum can be glimpsed. Priests and worshippers wander here and there, engaged in various rituals of devotion or study. A locked almsbox is securely bolted to an iron pole alongside the pillars. You also see a wrought iron gate, some pillars and a glowing white stone.

Pukk and your artic white wolf followed.

Leafiara says, "Well, that was pleasant."

Pukk says, "That is their problem."

Nyaria quietly asks, "Starting trouble again?"

Pukk says, "Trouble started without me."

Leafiara says, "At least one leader around here is smart enough to just tell these people they're not welcome."

Pukk asks, "That was pretty nice right?"

Pukk says, "Not beating around the bush with nice talk."

Speaking to Nyaria, Pukk says, "There is going to be a lot of death and blood tonight. Best to prepare."

Speaking quietly to Pukk, Nyaria says, "You remembered my birthday! i knew you loved me."

Speaking to Leafiara, Pukk asks, "Will you be staying here to protect the town too?"

Speaking to Pukk, Leafiara exclaims, "Of course!"

Nyaria quietly says, "Bringing me bodies."

Leafiara says, "Whatever happens out there isn't my problem."

Leafiara says, "But whatever happens in here is."

You see a blur out of the corner of your eye, and Vaemyr's group suddenly appears.

Vaemyr says, "Oh I had a good shot."

The sky begins to fill with huge clouds, dark and grey on the bottom, pale and white atop, their puffy crowns ascending toward the heavens.

Nordred says, "I'm pretty that incident earlier tonight was just an example of why you don't wear big cloaks and run on rooftops, you can accidently step on them and fall onto crossbow bolts."

Vaemyr says, "Oh great I brought a storm with my teleportation..."

Pukk says, "Aha. I feel something in the air."

[General] Leafiara amiably thinks, "Another storm tonight in the Landing."

A low thunder rumbles in the distance.

[General] Kataric asks, "A storm? A gutstorm perhaps?"

[General] Gutstorm drunkenly thinks, "Dat not me."

[General] Pukk thinks, "Smells like trouble is in the air."

[General] Kataric thinks, "I just had my cloak washed."

[General] Cryheart thinks, "Landing, we expect an attack, so be prepared."

Vaemyr says, "Time to go spider hunting I guess, since those seem to be what attack the landing..."

Kiyna says, "War clan... it's called the war clan, not the peace clan..."

[General] Gutstorm drunkenly thinks, "Which da big war party gatter at? me wanna loot yoo boxesh."

Pukk says, "I'm staying in town."

[General] Brisca thinks, "It sounds like a good night to visit Solhaven, I think...."

Kialeigh says, "Bought to get dirty fer da imperials."

Nordred says, "War clan does sound better than peace clan, branding is important in coming up with a name."

[General] Directed to Cryheart, Pukk asks, "How can people join you if you're not here, if you're not here, how can people join you?"

[General] Stormyrain thinks, "He is in the Settlement."

[General] Evia thinks, "We are where we are."

[General] Cryheart thinks, "I am in the Settlement."

Katissa says, "Why is someone getting branded? Its not very comfortable.."

[General] Stormyrain thinks, "Since that is where we expect the attack to focus."

[General] Pukk thinks, "Oh. Then I have to make an announcement."

Kialeigh says, "No kink shaming."

Leafiara says, "If the attack is on the settlement, I suppose this could be an easy night."

Pukk recites:

"Everybody who wants to die a horrible death go to the settlement and join Cryheart"

[General] Pukk thinks, "Just made the announcement."

Kialeigh asks, "If yer a winner... stay here and point and laugh?"

Kiyna says, "Don't know where they're attacking yet, so I'm going to stay flexible."

Vaemyr says, "That's why we're here."

Leafiara says, "I'm staying here in case the Remnants return like they did earlier."

Speaking to Kiyna, Pukk says, "The reivers will be attacking they said."

Speaking softly to Nordred, Asthenea asks, "You doin well?"

Speaking to Leafiara, Vaemyr says, "I think it likely for them to potentially show up tonight too yes."

Nordred asks, "I am, how about you?"

Asthenea softly says, "No complaints."

Vaemyr says, "Try and use the chaos to their advantage."

Asthenea softly says, "No one listens anyway."

Asthenea softly says, "Im kidding."

Nordred asks, "Say what?"

Leafiara scoffs, "Using chaos to advantage is my job."

Asthenea softly says, "They actually run."

Nalbon asks, "What did you say?"

Jagged bolts of ashen lightning crackle across the heavens, splitting the sky in threads of glowing light.

Nyaria quietly says, "Wait, using chaos as an advantage? They been paying attention to the landing too much."

Leafiara darkly says, "I'll kill 'em all."

Speaking softly to Nalbon, Asthenea says, "No one listens when i complain."

Asthenea softly says, "But im kiddin."

Nalbon says, "Sorry still cant hear you."

Nalbon says, "Must be the lightning."

Asthenea softly says, "Touche'."

Jadedragan says, "I guess we're really all Imperial here. I missed the notice."

Speaking to Leafiara, Pukk says, "Hopefully all of this is focused around the settlement and not around town but you know how it's going to go."

Nyaria quietly says, "I sure as hell not."

[General] Cryheart thinks, "Ember Vale clan may use the spiders, so stay within the Landing or the gates."

Nordred says, "I think the trick on that is to just make them sit through it anyways."

Speaking appreciatively to Devoryah, Kialeigh exclaims, "'Perfect! I'll put this towards my nail fund! Just 80mil more to go!"

[General] Leafiara thinks, "We have a reasonable sized team in town staying flexible."

Devoryah says, "Only that."

Speaking softly to Nordred, Asthenea says, "Yeah, i like to tie em up first."

Devoryah says, "Put it on xess's tab."

Along the towers of Wehnimer's Landing, several uniformed guards and militia come into view, eyes and arrows trained to the horizon.

[General] Stormyrain thinks, "I am at the west gate, for now."

Speaking softly to Nordred, Asthenea says, "Then they're stuck and i can take as long as i want."

Pukk recites:

"Okay everybody. There is going to be a battle tonight. Be prepared. If you cannot fight you can help tend the wounded. If you are too inexperienced with these things you can man the ballistas. That is if they attack the town"

Nordred says, "I guess maybe i should prepare on something."

Xess asks, "Are we sticking around for this?"

Kialeigh says, "We're ready I guess... they better stay outta our town.. buncha jerks."

Speaking to Jadedragan, Kiyna says, "I'm no imperial. But neither will I suffer the Vale to continue."

Speaking to Xess, Leafiara says, "I am."

Devoryah says, "Wiped out."

[General] Pukk thinks, "Okay everybody. There is going to be a battle tonight. Be prepared. If you cannot fight you can help tend the wounded. If you are too inexperienced with these things you can man the ballistas. That is if they attack the town."

[General] Lylia thinks, "Thank you, Pukk. This is sage advice."

Xess asks, "Who's leading the vanguard?"

[General] Pukk thinks, "And if you are a lady you can woman the ballistas."

Jahira says, "I heard there's a storm brewing."

The sky flashes with electric energy as columns of Hendoran and Bourthian soldiers can be seen taking position among the ramparts of the imperial outpost standing tall within the grasslands beyond town.

Kialeigh says, "Usually is..."

[General] Gutstorm drunkenly thinks, "Iffin ye all wear da coat of armsh of Darkstone, dey notsh knowed we elped'em."

Jadedragan says, "Pick a side, then moralize that decision."

[General] Leafiara adds, "Can also take to archery or magical bolts from the towers!"

[General] Pukk thinks, "That means you nag it to death."

Kialeigh says, "Prolly should station an empath at Voln too in cae we get attacked."

Vaemyr says, "Hopefully Sablo's army is prepared... if they show up tonight."

[General] Cryheart thinks, "And above all else, dinnae attack the Hendoran or Bourthian soldiers...be careful of area effect spells."

Vaemyr says, "Or I feel like they might be lambs tot he slaughter."

[General] Pukk thinks, "That is right. You can use your bows or crossbows from the rooftops. Also, as some have accused me before, you can also use your ranged weapons from the treetops. It's just very inaccurate but it is safer."

[General] Xess asks, "Where are we meeting for the vanguard?"

Vaemyr says, "At least based on what Elidal was saying about some of their experience..."

Speaking to Vaemyr, Leafiara asks, "You mean Thadston?"

[General] Cryheart thinks, "Several of us are in the campsite defending it."

Katissa says, "I need to stop being so braindead..."

[General] Cryheart thinks, "Others will be around the gates inside the Landing."

Speaking to Leafiara, Vaemyr asks, "Oh was it thadston telling us their skill levels?"

Speaking to Vaemyr, Leafiara says, "Think so."

Leafiara says, "Said something to the effect they weren't as good as him or half of us."

[General] Pukk thinks, "Lighten your loads and be prepared to duck and weave your way around town."

Speaking to Leafiara, Vaemyr says, "Been too many different folks around this past week, hard to keep track."

Nordred says, "There, overkill."

From the imperial campsite, dozens of patchwork fighters take to the wooden walls and towers of the settlement. They wear a mismatch of uniforms, some imperial crests, some created only by the limits of their imagination. They watch the forest, they watch the horizon, and they wait. Many eyes still sparkle, having never seen a second of war in their lifetime.

Tikba asks, "Are we expecting an attack?"

Leafiara mutters, "Highly doubt it's only half of us."

Speaking to Tikba, Leafiara says, "Yes, Dikirk just told everybody the Ember Vale will be attacking tonight."

Speaking to Vaemyr, Kayse says, "Your thing is attacking Amos' soliders." [animate]

[Realm] Jadedragan thinks, "Sure am glad that the Empire has sent it's best to deal with the mess they've made."

Leafiara adds, "And also told Darkstone that it's not welcome in Luinne Bheinn."

[General] Cryheart thinks, "Way to assume leadership, Pukk."

Brenyl says, "I'm kinda scared."

[General] Evia thinks, "Good job."

[Realm] Nyaria thinks, "Hush you will give them ideas."

[General] Pukk thinks, "This is a call for all the Rooks. Stand guard against any foes trying to take the town but also watch your backs."

Speaking to Leafiara, Tikba says, "That, they knew."

Kialeigh says, "This is gonna get messy..."

[General] Kataric asks, "How do you great defenderous folk even know about this upcoming onslaught ? Augury w/ mass rolton sacrifice ?"

Speaking to Vaemyr, Kayse says, "Amos' soliders attacked it too though."

Speaking amusedly to Tikba, Leafiara says, "Apparently they didn't since Samfelt sure seemed flustered."

[General] Pukk thinks, "No, we were just warned."

Leafiara mockingly quotes, "B-but we came to talk."

Speaking to Kayse, Vaemyr says, "Was it actually attacking or were they attacking it? I actually didn't know it could act without me in the room..."

[General] Cryheart thinks, "We were warned."

[General] Pukk asks, "Do we have enough healers at Voln?"

Speaking to Vaemyr, Kayse exclaims, "Things were swinging at each other!"

[General] Kataric thinks, "Well, good thing the messenger didn't tell me. I would've forgotten to pass it along as I napped under a tree."

Vaemyr says, "I don't think it would be swinging back without my orders..."

[General] Nyaria thinks, "There is but one now and a single cleric."

[General] Pukk thinks, "You know people will be using Voln to return to."

[General] Leafiara thinks, "We know because Dikirk warned us."

[General] Leafiara thinks, "Dikirk the reiver."

Vaemyr says, "I put it somewhere the soldiers don't go for now though."

[General] Leafiara adds, "...about ten minutes ago, so it's not as if there's been great time to prepare, but nonetheless here we are."

Vaemyr says, "But I need that "thing" it's the only sword I have that works on those magic immune spiders."

Speaking to Vaemyr, Kayse offers, "Maybe the thing will let you borrow the sword."

Pukk says, "Healers should be safe here but if the sanct falls fall back to Thraks."

Kiyna says, "Sword is as big as Vaemyr is..."

Tikba says, "Not Thrak's. There is still a guard there."

Tikba says, "Moot Hall is better."

Vaemyr says, "Bigger... cause it's a lance."

Pukk says, "Healers, if the sanct falls try to grab a body while you retreat."

Vaemyr says, "But yea..."

[General] Kataric thinks, "Oh a Reiver did huh? Good luck and some to the mule for spells if you need them. You'll see my hat sticking out of the snow under a tree... or i'll be next to the fire."

Pukk says, "If you can't get into Thraks let us know where you go. Moot Hall is good too."

[General] Pukk thinks, "Healers if sanct falls in TSC fall back to Thraks or Moot Hall if you have a Black Thorn issue."

[General] Pukk thinks, "Call out where you are and if we have injured then we will drag people there."

[General] Nyaria asks, "They still going on about the black thorns?"

[General] Leafiara thinks, "They're a bit slack about it, but yes, sometimes."

[General] Pukk thinks, "If you are really young best to stay safe and inside the town."

[General] Balinox asks, "Define young ? how many trains do i need to be able to be useful ?"

[General] Jadedragan asks, "You can man ballista, I think regardless of trains?"

Vaemyr says, "Calm before the storm I guess. or maybe the storm before the storm."

[General] Leafiara thinks, "You can, yes."

[General] Leafiara exclaims, "Bernadette does a fantastic job keeping the ballista logs well stocked!"

[General] Pukk thinks, "Anybody is useful. Use ballistas. Or drag people. Just stay safe."

[General] Evia thinks, "You can also use archery from the towers."

Villorn says, "Hmm."

[General] Gutstorm drunkenly thinks, "Me think dish a flash alarm, dey teshtin our lertednesh."

Tikba says, "Perhaps Dikirk was ill informed."

[General] Perigourd thinks, "And the trees themselves in the dragonsclaw."

Caravan Reverse Ambush

Amidst the rain, a column of dust can be seen in the distance, beyond the Trollfang.

Tikba uncertainly says, "I see that Gutstorm has said the same."

Leafiara says, "He did express it would be battles over hours."

Vaemyr says, "He didn't..."

Kialeigh says, "Oh gawds..."

Vaemyr says, "Oh the caravan."

Vaemyr says, "Great."

Leafiara says, "Naturally."

[General] Kataric asks, "Is Gustrom's lethality inversely proportional to his sobriety?"

[General] Directed to Stormyrain, Pukk thinks, "Are the militia on alert now and roaming the streets."

[General] Directed simply to Kataric, Leafiara affirms, "Yes."

Vaemyr says, "Let Cryheart's group take care of that."

[General] Kelfyr thinks, "They're walking the towers and walls."

[General] Pukk thinks, "Good."

[General] Cryheart thinks, "We see dust in the distance, perhaps Sablo's troops are arriving."

[General] Kataric thinks, "That is a terribly curious affliction."

Gutstorm drunkenly slurs, "Me lighteded me load to yoink lotta boxesh."

[General] Directed amusedly to Kataric, Leafiara thinks, "Pretty sure he wouldn't describe it as an affliction."

[General] Vaemyr thinks, "I believe we expected them this week, so quite possible. If scouts want to see if they can find them. Although Sablo should be with them as should some imperial soldiers."

Villorn asks, "Invasion?"

Gutstorm drunkenly slurs, "Kinda?"

Leafiara agrees, "Kinda."

Speaking to Villorn, Vaemyr says, "We believe so."

Nordred says, "Something like that soon."

Leafiara says, "We don't know if they'll attack the Landing gates."

Leafiara says, "They might not."

Leafiara says, "Could be focused on the Imperial camp and the caravan approaching."

Villorn asks, "They be camping outside right now?"

[General] Pukk thinks, "Bernadette has stocked all the ballistas with so many logs that you will have plenty of ammo for this battle."

Gutstorm drunkenly slurs, "Like...technally da town shoop me shafe."

Speaking optimistically to Gutstorm, Leafiara exclaims, "We'll see!"

[General] Avrey thinks, "Many thanks for that."

Speaking to Leafiara, Vaemyr says, "Depends how many spiders come... they don't seem to really uhhh discriminate on whom they attack or where they go."

Speaking offhandedly to Vaemyr, Leafiara says, "We'll take care of 'em if a few roam loose."

Speaking to Gutstorm, Jadedragan says, "Considering how many of the town are engaging against them, I wouldn't be surprised if they took offense."

Kialeigh says, "Hopefully Trouble will make other bugs leave me alone."

[General] Fugue asks, "Did the town's lease run out for those nifty Pukk Polished Pylons?"

The column of dust grows closer, seemingly having moved across the Locksmehr River and slowly rolling infront of the Aillidh Brae.

Speaking drunkenly to Jadedragan, Gutstorm slurs, "Well if dey lishint tome, and wore da Darkstone coata arm, dey not be knowed."

Leafiara says, "Amusing."

Nordred says, "At least it looks like we'll make the invoker."

Kiyna says, "Over by the Alabaster Spire..."

Leafiara says, "All this time and Elidal still didn't tell his people to avoid passing those mountains."

Vaemyr says, "Oh that's not the imperials."

[General] Pukk thinks, "I don't know how useful the town's pylons will be if there is a battle here."

Speaking politely to Vaemyr, Tikba says, "It may be. The other caravan came that way."

Tikba says, "The one that was attacked, when the children were taken."

Kiyna says, "One of them came through Glatoph, too."

Gutstorm drunkenly slurs, "Why such big deal over da children, it not like dey DAT hard da make."

Vaemyr says, "Glatoph is quite far from there."

[General] Nordred thinks, "People might wanna hit up the invoker here in a few."

Two wagons can be spotted at times beyond the vallley near Aillidh Brae. They suddenly come to a stop, as the surrounding brush and trees come alive around them with movement.

[General] Pukk asks, "Any idea what that dust cloud is?"

[General] Fugue thinks, "Probably a good target for a python shot."

Gutstorm drunkenly slurs, "Da bugsh itchin eh?"

From out of the brush, two dozen burly figures emerges, many with eyes of moss and layered in animal fur and tartan. They approach the unmoving wagons.

[General] Vaemyr asks, "Anyone with eyes o Aillidh Brae?"

[General] Fugue thinks, "Augh, pylon... werds aer hard."

Gutstorm drunkenly slurs, "Itta trap."

Speaking to Gutstorm, Vaemyr says, "I think so too."

[General] Pukk thinks, "If you are in the field. It looks like reivers."

[General] Missoni thinks, "We are here but do not see the wagons."

Gutstorm drunkenly slurs, "Weeee."

Leafiara exclaims, "Invoker!"

[invoker]

Pukk exclaims, "Thank you!"

[General] Leafiara affably thinks, "The invoker's around if anyone would like her help to prepare."

[General] Diablic asks, "Is there a hunting group out?"

[General] Luxelle thinks, "Sounds more like there is one fixing to come in."

[General] Cryheart asks, "Perigourd ye checking out those wagons?"

[Realm] Perigourd thinks, "Looks like some wagons are being ambushed but I can't seem to find them."

[General] Evia asks, "Guts...did you ring the bell?"

[Realm] Cryheart thinks, "Could be a distraction."

[General] Pukk thinks, "If anybody in town sees anything be sure to call it out before engaging. Let us know where."

The night is filled with not one roar, but a chorus of them. They do not originate from the aggressors, but instead it emanates from the depths of the wagons. Wood and canvas break away as two dozen rugged imperial soldiers leap up and out, blades drawn, shields high, as they charge their would be killers. Among them, roaring the loudest, is a broad shoulder man with dried blood already smeared along his face. A tomahawk is gripped in each hand. He does not walk, but almost flies into the host of attackers, a monster among reivers, as he tears into their ranks.

Commenced Clash

Pukk says, "Uh oh."

Vaemyr says, "There's Sablo."

Leafiara states, "And it begins."

Pukk says, "Yep. The reivers just bit off a big bite."

Villorn says, "There's some slaughtering going on now."

Kiyna says, "He looks like he's become well-adjusted and calmed down some after being told off."

Speaking to Villorn, Leafiara agrees, "Yep."

A warhorn sounds from the area of Luinne Bheinn.

Pukk asks, "Warhorn from there?"

Villorn says, "Always a boring warhorn."

Kialeigh asks, "Are they all joinin in?"

Tikba says, "Nothing yet, I think."

Leafiara says, "Probably."

Kiyna says, "Could be the Ember Vale. It's located very nearby. Not sure exactly where."

Speaking to Leafiara, Vaemyr says, "I mean... they learned their lesson kind of at least at least... and didn't just expect their caravan to not get attacked..."

Kialeigh says, "I thought they just wanted peace...."

Pukk asks, "That is what I'm thinking. Is it a full scale reiver attack?"

Speaking to Vaemyr, Leafiara acknowledges, "Yes, they finally learned from their folly at least slightly."

Irval says, "Time to go break some bones."

Speaking to Arahnim, Kialeigh says, "Keep him safe."

Speaking to youLeafiara Vaemyr says, "Several follies."

Jadedragan says, "Well that feels better."

Vaemyr says, "Fourth or fifth time's the charm afterall..."

[General] Pukk thinks, "Remember, the reivers shouldn't attack our town, but if they do, no quarter. Protect the town."

[Realm] Cryheart thinks, "Aye."

[General] Stormyrain asks, "--Is that Sablo and his team ..fighting Dikirk's reivers?"

Kialeigh says, "Not right now, Trouble..."

[General] Fugue exclaims, "Especially the bank!"

Pukk says, "I'm going to check the gates."

[Realm] Cryheart thinks, "We dinnae know all yet."

[General] Vaemyr thinks, "I believe they are fighting the ember vale raiders, that attacked the fake wagons."

[General] Pukk thinks, "Gates clear so far."

Kiyna says, "When the imperials have soldiers, they can fight their own battles. I won't let them slaughter civilians and call it war, but now that it's two fighting forces..."

[General] Skorrian thinks, "Reivers on the mine road."

Speaking to Jadedragan, Tikba asks, "Who were you seeking?"

Kiyna says, "Well, they have it coming if they come over the walls."

[General] Stormyrain dubiously thinks, "Those horns sounded like they came from Dikirk's position more than the Vale's, I hope that was just a misdirection of the wind."

[General] Nyaria thinks, "They sure are slow."

Jadedragan asks, "Anyone?"

Pukk says, "Be that as it may. My town will come first for me."

Kialeigh says, "They're outside the gate.."

Kialeigh says, "I just heard..."

Tikba amusedly says, "Choose anyone but Cryheart."

Leafiara says, "I'll check."

[travel and return]

Speaking to Kiyna, Vaemyr says, "If I see a way to kill Tyied, you better know I'm going after em though, not gonna just wait here. But until then."

[General] Thrassus thinks, "The Vale is in the same region, only hidden."

Leafiara says, "Nope, nothing out there yet."

Kialeigh says, "They said coming up mine road."

Jadedragan exclaims, "Howd you know!"

[General] Leafiara reports, "Still nothing at the gates."

Villorn says, "I miss some good brownies."

Tikba amusedly says, "I have made the same error."

[General] Leafiara clarifies, "The Landing gates. No idea about the camp."

Speaking to Leafiara, Pukk asks, "We will guard those gates yet right?"

Speaking to Pukk, Leafiara says, "If we have to."

[General] Evia thinks, "Camp quiet."

[Realm] Cryheart thinks, "Nothing at the camp sofar."

Pukk says, "Damn straight."

Leafiara says, "Stormy, Kelfyr, and Nordred are the only force out there at the moment."

[General] Irval thinks, "Just took down a skald outside of town."

[General] Lylia thinks, "I see them. Windcallers, geomancers."

[General] Lylia thinks, "Along the ridge at Liath Bheinn."

[Realm] Cryheart thinks, "Thanks Lylia."

Vaemyr says, "Yep fighting."

[General] Sablo exclaims, "Let us feed the soil with the blood of reivers!"

[General] Lylia thinks, "There were only two. Note the past tense."

Tikba says, "Ah, he has returned."

Leafiara says, "Grishom Stone and Sablo would probably get along well."

[General] Cryheart thinks, "Good to hear ye voice, Sablo."

[General] Perigourd thinks, "Not all of them mean war upon the Settlement Commander."

[General] Tikba respectfully greets, "Commander."

[General] Pukk thinks, "Brute nw of North gate."

[General] Lylia thinks, "They grow too bold in setting foot near our Spire."

[General] Mourdeyan thinks, "Indeed, hail General. evening all."

[Wehnimer's, Exterior]

You are on the merchant road that leads to and from Wehnimer's Landing. The path continues there to the southeast. The merchant road continues along the coast, leading to other parts of Elanthia. To go that way is to trust to luck and your own skills. You also see a large-eyed reiver brute that is lying down, a gate leading west to the games arena and the merchant road.

Also here: Whimweaver Leafiara, Pukk

[General] Cryheart thinks, "Well done Lylia."

>appr bru

The reiver brute is medium in size and about one foot high in its current prone state.

The brute is too easy for the likes of you!

The reiver brute appears to be apt, and lanky.

Speaking to a large-eyed reiver brute, Pukk says, "Go back."

Tikba just arrived.

[General] Evia thinks, "Hail Mourd."

Speaking to a large-eyed reiver brute, Leafiara says, "You don't seem very strong."

[General] Jadedragan exclaims, "Our brave Imperial saviours, come at last!"

Speaking to a large-eyed reiver brute, Pukk says, "Go back."

[Tikba calms it]

Pukk says, "Thank you."

Speaking amiably to a large-eyed reiver brute, Leafiara says, "Camp's down that way in the forest."

A large-eyed reiver brute shrugs impatiently.

The calmed look leaves a large-eyed reiver brute.

[Leafi leaves and returns to TSC, so no idea what happened after]

[Town Square Central]

This is the heart of the main square of Wehnimer's Landing. The impromptu shops of the bazaar are clustered around this central gathering place, where townsfolk, travellers, and adventurers meet to talk, conspire or raise expeditions to the far-flung reaches of Elanith. At the north end, an old well, with moss-covered stones and a craggy roof, is shaded from the moonlight by a strong, robust tree. The oak is tall and straight, and it is apparent that the roots run deep. You also see the Kiyna disk, the Skorrian disk, a fluffy ginger cat, the spinning Mattch disk, the malachite Jadedragan disk, the Gyren disk, the Diablic disk, the Katissa disk, the Kialeigh disk, the Vaemyr disk, an exultant luck spirit that is flying around, the vermeil Myasarie disk draped with silver strands of tidal pearls, an old well, some wide stone benches with some stuff on it, an herbal remedy donation bin and a round silver-banded barrel.

Jadedragan says, "I may have been wrong about the reivers."

Speaking to Jadedragan, Leafiara asks, "In what way?"

Jadedragan says, "I don't know yet."

[General] Stormyrain thinks, "West gate is still without contact."

Jadedragan says, "What Dikirk said, with their Arachne ties."

Kyralina says, "Found a unique chest while hunting on Teras, if anyone wants."

[General] Pukk thinks, "Okay, man the ballistas some small fry are trying for the gates but be carefule."

Tikba says, "There were a few reivers on the way to the coast."

Leafiara says, "I don't remember him saying anything about Arachne ties... I thought that was a question asked to him about the Ember Vale."

Tikba says, "They seem separated from their host."

Skorrian quietly says, "They just attacked me on the mine road."

[General] Cryheart thinks, "Camp being attacked."

Jadedragan says, "I had hoped we'd have the chance to engage with Haidan. It seems his bloodlust matches others."

Leafiara mentions, "Camp's under attack, if anyone here is interested."

Villorn joins Leafiara's group.

Tikba says, "Ah, Missoni and Perigourd have been engaged."

Speaking to Villorn, Leafiara clarifies, "I didn't say I'm interested."

Kiyna says, "Dikirk said the Ember Vale no longer come to pray with their fellows."

[General] Faiyth thinks, "Reiver's outside north gate... er... were."

Leafiara says, "Checking north gate."

[Wehnimer's, Outside Gate]

Citizens, merchants and assorted dregs of society jostle against you before the great wooden gates of Wehnimer's Landing. Harried guards and militiamen try to keep the chaos to a minimum, but it is hard to keep track of those entering, let alone leaving, this large trading post. A dirt path encircling the wooden palisade of the town leads east and southwest. Nailed prominently to the wooden wall beside the gate is a sign you really should read. You also see a bent earring, a reinforced shield, some brigandine armor, a ball and chain, the Faiyth disk and the Wayside inn.

Jadedragan says, "Can be."

Tikba mildly says, "Prayer can be quite personal."

Vaemyr says, "Going to scout outside the town walls."

Ouidanna says, "I need bank before we decide to try to kill things."

Speaking to Tikba, Kiyna says, "I'm sure it's that the entire Ember Vale decided to switch their style of prayer up."

Villorn says, "Here you are."

[General] Pukk thinks, "Reivers stay away from Landing. We are just going to protect ourselves."

[General] Kelfyr asks, "Only outside the North Gate so far? None within the town?"

[General] Leafiara thinks, "None within town."

Speaking to Kiyna, Tikba says, "The choice of one's patron can also be quite personal."

[General] Xess asks, "How are the gates holding?"

Dirt rises in the sky along the woods of the Trollfang.

[General] Perigourd thinks, "Likely Commander Sablo's forces in the field."

[General] Stormyrain thinks, "Imperial soldiers outside of the gates, don't engage them...they're not a danger to the Landing."

Shouting erupts beyond the valley and Luinne Bhein as imperial soldiers clash with roaming reivers.

[General] Stormyrain thinks, "And they're culling the roltons quite well.."

[General] Cryheart thinks, "Sablo's forces hae entered the camp."

[travel and combat]

[General] Cryheart thinks, "Aye, dinnae attack the soldiers."

[Wehnimer's, Land's End Rd.]

Vigilant night guardsmen scrutinize the citizens and travelers arriving and departing through the wide gates spanning the land route into Wehnimer's Landing. The cluttered streets of the city to the south are a far cry from the deceptively calm expanse of the wilds of Elanith outside. Two daunting towers survey the countryside and protect the town, flanking the road to the east and west. You also see the malachite Jadedragan disk, a rugged imperial soldier, a rugged imperial soldier, a rugged imperial soldier, the town gates, the east tower, the west tower and a large wooden barrel.

Also here: Whimweaver Leafiara, Pukk

Speaking to a rugged imperial soldier, Pukk says, "Leave."

Speaking to a rugged imperial soldier, Leafiara says, "We don't need your help here. We're fine."

Pukk says, "Leave."

A rugged imperial soldier charges south.

[Wehnimer's, North Ring Rd.]

The cobbled road girds the town along the inner side of the northern palisade. Just to the north stand the twin sentinels of the gate's guardtowers, silhouetted against the night sky. Guardsmen come and go through the main gates, keeping a close eye on the people of all races who move to and fro. Opposite the gates, you see the shop of Dakris the Furrier. You also see a rugged imperial soldier and a muscular red-armored guard.

Also here: Whimweaver Leafiara, Pukk

Speaking to a rugged imperial soldier, Pukk says, "Don't make me say it again."

Speaking to a rugged imperial soldier, Pukk says, "I will end you."

A rugged imperial soldier charges east.

[Wehnimer's, North Ring Rd.]

Night guards and militiamen pass by, moving between the barracks and the guard towers at either end of the north road. The broad cobblestoned way proceeds east and west, hugging the inside of the northern wall. A sparse mix of citizens and visitors, including trappers and traders returning home for the night or staying out to ply some late business, walk among the ever-vigilant guards. You also see a rugged imperial soldier, a muscular red-armored hiresword that is lying down, a small warehouse and a squalid canvas pavilion.

Pukk just arrived.

Pukk says, "Fire."

A rugged imperial soldier charges east.

Leafiara asks, "Would you people defend your own camp?"

Pukk says, "Fire sold."

[Wehnimer's, North Ring Rd.]

Worn and uneven paving stones broken by deep ruts cover the road here, making for treacherous footing. A faint chorus of sounds emanates from the south and west, as the subdued hum of the bazaar melds with the occasional cries of night birds flying above. You also see a rugged imperial soldier and a red-bricked pathway.

Speaking to a rugged imperial soldier, Leafiara asks, "Would you people defend your own camp?"

Pukk says, "Fire sold."

Shadowy figures creep along the tree canopies of the Upper Trollfang.

[Pukk kills it in two shots]

Leafiara says, "Ah, the mighty Imperial soldiers."

[General] Vaemyr thinks, "Careful of potential Remnants..."

[General] Directed to Gutstorm, Stormyrain warns, "Dwarf."

[General] Gutstorm drunkenly exclaims, "Hey me proecxting da town from imperialsh!"

[the soldier swings at the spider for 69 damage and Leafi nukes it for 400]

[General] Stormyrain thinks, "They are protecting the town from Reivers."

Speaking to a rugged imperial soldier, Leafiara repeats, "I said we're doing fine here."

[General] Lexbubba thinks, "Those imperial soldiers be lazy all laying on the ground during an invasion."

[the soldier swings again]

Pukk says, "Oops..."

[travel and combat; Leafi spots Pukk firing on another soldier and leaves him to it]

[General] Villorn thinks, "They actually are outside engaging the rievers right now."

As a column of dirt winds rolls through the Upper Trollfang, dozens of black-shrouded figures leap from branches and dart through the forest.

Leafiara says, "Go protect it."

Pukk just arrived.

Pukk crouches and sweeps a leg at a rugged imperial soldier!

A rugged imperial soldier falls to the ground! Pukk deftly regains his footing.

The attack exposes a vulnerability in a rugged imperial soldier's defenses!

Speaking to Pukk, Leafiara says, "They just don't listen."

Speaking to a rugged imperial soldier, Pukk says, "Leave."

Speaking to Leafiara, Pukk says, "Nope."

[Leafi moves on while Pukk, I assume, tails the soldier; travel and combat]

[General] Jadedragan thinks, "The town guard seems to not be a fan of the imperial soldiers."

[you see, elsewhere...]

a rugged imperial soldier makes a move toward the gate. Suddenly the town guard draws his weapon and engages the soldier. "Away foul beast! You're not welcome here!" he cries.

[General] Nyaria thinks, "Good."

[General] Nyaria thinks, "Oops misthought."

[General] Jadedragan thinks, "Is it though? I can't say I disagree with his actions."

[General] Vaemyr thinks, "Encountered remnants."

[General] Leafiara asks, "Where, Vaemyr?"

[General] Vaemyr thinks, "Upper trollfang."

[General] Leafiara thinks, "Hmm..."

[General] Leafiara asks, "That's a big area. Whereabouts?"

[General] Thrassus thinks, "That settles the question of if the Remnants are being led by an idiot or not."

[Leafi just fogs over and starts fighting Remnants, but there are only a tiny handful]

[General] Pukk exclaims, "I was picked up by the watchman!"

You also see a pure white snow-owl that is flying around, a disk of black olive-laden bread, a disk of black olive-laden bread, a stack of dark-swirled rye crisps, a stack of dark-swirled rye crisps, some manna bread, some scored peppercorn flatbread, a buoyant glacier spirit that is flying around, the Niffly disk, a jocular badland spirit that is flying around, a small statue, a raven that is flying around, the Kialeigh disk, an exultant luck spirit that is flying around, the vermeil Myasarie disk draped with silver strands of tidal pearls, an old well, some wide stone benches with some stuff on it, an herbal remedy donation bin and a round silver-banded barrel.

Leafiara says, "Okay..."

Xess says, "Back to it."

[General] Pukk thinks, "Was some spiders on north ring road. I'm in jail at the moment for some stupid reason."

[General] Gutstorm drunkenly thinks, "Gotta do dat shorta shtuff OUTSHIDE da wallsh Pukk."

[General] Tikba amusedly thinks, "The spiders probably do not carry any money."

[General] Leafiara thinks, "You'd be surprised what they can carry."

[General] Vaemyr thinks, "They carry gems and boxes..."

[travel and combat]

[General] Faiyth thinks, "That Reiver just came in wearing high-heeled slippers..."

Leafiara says, "Too easy." [low level Remnants]

[General] Kataric thinks, "And 8 little tickle sticks for the kiddos."

Vaemyr says, "There were about ten that attacked us."

[General] Leafiara thinks, "Remnants, this is almost too easy--no, it's very much too easy."

[travel and combat]

[General] Thrassus thinks, "It looks like the Remnants are taking the opportunity to attack the settler camp."

[travel and combat]

[Upper Trollfang]

This part of the ridge is dominated by a huge tree, now quite dead. It stands like a blackened spire, towering far above the surrounding trees and bushes. You also see a lithe black-shrouded ranger, a forest troll and a small mound.

Speaking to a lithe black-shrouded ranger, Leafiarar says, "Camp's over in the forest."

[but Gutstorm attacks, so Leafi finishes it off]

Leafiara says, "Well, I tried."

Gutstorm drunkenly slurs, "Oh he gimme learnin."

Gutstorm drunkenly slurs, "Find more."

Leafiara says, "But if they're after the camp, I suppose this isn't my problem."

[General] Faiyth thinks, "Getting attacked by outlaws now outside the gates.."

Gutstorm drunkenly slurs, "Me took out all da imperial soldiers."

Fiery Battle

BOOM! A huge explosion rocks the Upper Trollfang as crimson flames lick the sky and leave a wide ring of scarlet embers that burn away.

[General] Faiyth exclaims, "And spiders in town!"

[General] Sablo thinks, "Out of the wagons!"

Leafiara says, "Hmm."

[General] Stormyrain thinks, "Bandits at the west gate."

[General] Leafiara asks, "Anyone have sight of that fire?"

[General] The ghost of Tikba wryly thinks, "And a bit north of the gate."

Gutstorm drunkenly slurs, "Should we shashinate Sablo?"

BOOM! Another fiery explosion rocks the forest and sends crimson sparks spiraling upward into the night.

[General] Leafiara thinks, "Searching for the fires..."

Gutstorm drunkenly slurs, "Prolly near campsight."

Leafiara says, "That's not the Upper Trollfang, though."

[General] Thrassus thinks, "Springing more traps for the agressors, I presume."

Leafiara says, "Hm."

[travel and combat]

Gutstorm drunkenly slurs, "Dernit."

Rushing through the Upper Trollfang, several settlers can be seen running towards the Dragonsclaw. A few of them appear to have singed clothing and a few visible burns. As they enter a clearing, a ring of black-shrouded figures await them, loosening barbed crossbow bolts into their ranks, dropping several of them before the others scatter even further.

[combat]

Leafiara says, "Oh, guess I should leave the Remnants alone."

Gutstorm drunkenly slurs, "Dey good guys?"

[combat]

Leafiara says, "No, but they're attacking the camp, so I have no problem with them right now."

[combat]

Leafiara says, "If they start attacking Kayse and Wolfloner again like earlier, we'll have issues."

[General] Thrassus thinks, "It looks like the Remnants are going after noncombatants."

At the north end, an old well, with moss-covered stones and a craggy roof, is shaded from the moonlight by a strong, robust tree. [combat]

[General] Vaemyr thinks, "Still don't see these fires..."

[General] Leafiara thinks, "I couldn't find the fires. Sticking at the north gate with Diablic since west gate has twice the number of forces."

A young settler, his new tabard now scorched and frayed, darts out of the woods and flails his arms awkwardly as he runs for the trail and camp at the southern edge of the Dragonsclaw. There is a click. Then another. Then a third. Two bolts miss, but the third lands true, biting into the man's chest, slamming him up against a tree. He reaches for the bolt, just as a string of spidersilk drops from a canopy, quickly entombs him and pulls him away.

Mourdeyan says, "Headed t'the camp."

[General] Cryheart thinks, "Camp is nae burning."

[combat]

[Wehnimer's, Outside Gate]

Citizens, merchants and assorted dregs of society jostle against you before the great wooden gates of Wehnimer's Landing. Harried guards and militiamen try to keep the chaos to a minimum, but it is hard to keep track of those entering, let alone leaving, this large trading post. A dirt path encircling the wooden palisade of the town leads east and southwest. Nailed prominently to the wooden wall beside the gate is a sign you really should read. You also see a reinforced shield, a large-eyed reiver brute that appears dead, a thrashing vathor club riddled with spiky clusters, the palm frond-shaped Leafiara disk, a reinforced shield, the Diablic disk, a majestic king cheetah and the Wayside inn.

Also here: Pukk, Mourdeyan, Whimweaver Leafiara, Lord Diablic

Leafiara says, "Someone inform Haidan that the Landing gates aren't between the camp and his Ember Vale."

[General] Sablo exclaims, "Do not run free you fools! Stay in packs, the soldiers will escort you! Make to the camp, outpost, or town!"

[General] Nyaria asks, "You always call people helping you fools?"

[combat]

[General] Cryheart thinks, "Camp is still ok, Commander Sablo."

[General] Thrassus thinks, "I would suggest the Outpost or the camp, the town likely has Remnants in it as well."

[combat]

[General] Vaemyr thinks, "Some of us are out in the field, you can use us as cover as well."

[combat]

[General] Leafiara thinks, "No Remnants spotted in town yet."

A rugged imperial soldier charges in!

[the last round of Leafi's lingering Divine Wrath (a DoT AoE spell) severs the soldier's hand]

A rugged imperial soldier says, "Hey, Leafiara! I'm on your side! Watch it!"

Speaking to a rugged imperial soldier, Leafiara says, "Then stop getting in the way."

Speaking to Leafiara, Pukk asks, "Oops?"

Speaking to a rugged imperial soldier, Leafiara says, "Go save your own camp."

Speaking decisively to a rugged imperial soldier, Leafiara says, "We're fine here."

A rugged imperial soldier twitches slightly, his eyes glazed over.

A soft, white glow briefly surrounds Leafiara as she focuses her thoughts...

Leafiara gestures at a rugged imperial soldier.

The glazed look leaves a rugged imperial soldier.

Speaking to a rugged imperial soldier, Leafiara says, "Courtesy unstun. Go."

[General] Missoni asks, "What is the position of the caravan, Commander? Can we aid in getting the settlers to camp?"

A rugged imperial soldier grimaces as he fumbles helplessly with his gleaming steel voulge.

[General] Thrassus thinks, "They live in the town, they don't have to be running about in the open in it."

[combat]

[General] Stormyrain thinks, "West gate continues to be attacked by bandits."

[General] Leafiara thinks, "Minor bandit incursions at north gate too."

[General] Leafiara thinks, "Easily manageable for now."

[General] Cryheart thinks, "We are getting bandit attacks in the camp, but it stands still."

[General] Evia thinks, "Camp sporadically, also."

[combat]

[General] Sablo thinks, "Some wagons broke off. Two have exploded. I've got my men falling back, but we'll lose ground to the reivers in the valley. Help is needed there."

Jadedragan asks, "How can he talk while stunned?"

Speaking to Gutstorm, Leafiara says, "I warned him to go away to defend his own camp, but nope."

[combat]

Bellaja says, "In the valley he's saying."

[combat]

[General] Missoni thinks, "We are on our way."

[combat]

Speaking to Gutstorm, Leafiara says, "He ran right into my spell when I wasn't even trying and lost a hand."

Leafiara says, "Imagine if I *did* try."

Gutstorm drunkenly slurs, "Where da valley? me wanna take out Sabo."

Speaking to Gutstorm, Leafiara says, "Up the old mine road."

Speaking firmly to a rugged imperial soldier, Leafiara says, "Get out of here with your severed hand and go get healing at your camp." [Leafi hadn't noticed, but Gutstorm had also cast Limb Disruption and taken off one of his legs]

Speaking to Leafiara, Jadedragan says, "I think you broke him." [he just stands there eternally doing this...]

A rugged imperial soldier grimaces as he fumbles helplessly with his gleaming steel voulge.

Speaking to Jadedragan, Leafiara says, "He ran straight into my spell."

Leafiara says, "I knew they were rookies, but even I didn't expect them to be this bad."

Leafiara says, "Sometimes there's just no helping stupid."

Speaking to Leafiara, Mucarluk asks, "Whats going on?"

Speaking to Mucarluk, Leafiara says, "Reivers out there battling Imperial soldiers."

Jadedragan says, "And bandits attacking everyone."

Leafiara says, "The soldiers better hope they're more talented than this guy."

Leafiara points at a rugged imperial soldier.

Leafiara says, "Going to go check the streets again."

[travel and combat]

[General] Irval thinks, "Clearing out the riff raff moving towards you Commander."

[travel resumes]

[General] Gutstorm drunkenly thinks, "Think me found da wagin."

[General] Directed resignedly to Gutstorm, Tikba thinks, "That is the baystone mine."

[Realm] Perigourd thinks, "They need escorts."

[General] Stormyrain asks, "Where, Perigourd?"

Mid-Battle Escorts

[General] Sablo thinks, "If any settlers are lost, lead them to the camp. We'll be making our way there."

[General] Perigourd thinks, "Aillidh Brae."

[Leafi fogs to Gutstorm]

[Mine]

There is a black doorway supported by wooden pillars in the face of the hill. The grass grows tall around mounds of crushed rocks and various rusted tools are scattered about the ground. You also see a rune staff, a severed bloodletter leg, the Gutstorm disk, a large weathered wagon, a large weathered wagon, a wide wooden sign, a large weathered wagon and a dark recessed hole.

Leafiara say, "Hm."

Gutstorm drunkenly slurs, "Wrong one?"

Leafiara says, "Oh."

Leafiara says, "These are just for the miners."

[fog back to town, patrolling]

[General] Kelfyr thinks, "West gate will need reinforcing, escorting a group inbound."

[heading to Kelfyr]

[Wehnimer's, Exterior]

The muted sounds of loud bartering from within Wehnimer's Landing, and the lonely calls of a pair of mated fenvaoks high up in the air vie for your attention as you march along the outer western edge of the town. You also see an enraged wasteland spirit that is flying around, a moldy chocolate cupcake, the Kelfyr disk, a grizzled porcupine, the Stormyrain disk, a town guard, a tall wooden archery tower and a reinforced large wooden gate.

Also here: Whimweaver Leafiara, Tikba, Shinann, Avrey, Kelfyr, Stormyrain

Speaking curiously to Kelfyr, Leafiara asks, "Reinforcing?" (curious because there was already a force of five there)

Speaking to Kelfyr, Stormyrain says, "See? You're already working towards militia."

Speaking to Leafiara, Stormyrain says, "We're leaving it, and there have been random attacks still here. Heavy at times."

Avrey says, "Follow us." (speaking to a lost settler that arrived for escort)

Kelfyr asks, "Ready?"

Leafiara says, "Oh."

Leafiara says, "I can stay here, then."

Speaking to a frightened settler, Pukk says, "Get back inside the gates."

Avrey says, "I've one."

[now sticking here for a while for the perspective]

The muted sounds of loud bartering from within Wehnimer's Landing, and the lonely calls of a pair of mated fenvaoks high up in the air vie for your attention as you march along the outer western edge of the town. You also see some brigandine armor, a threadbare green tartan cloak, a reinforced shield, the palm frond-shaped Leafiara disk, an enraged wasteland spirit that is flying around, a moldy chocolate cupcake, a town guard, a tall wooden archery tower and a reinforced large wooden gate.

Also here: Pukk, Whimweaver Leafiara, Tikba

A frightened settler just wandered in.

Pukk says, "I'm trying to save him."

[General] Leafiara thinks, "Probalby have a sufficient force at west gate."

Tikba says, "He is probably hoping to reach the camp."

The settler begins to follow Pukk.

Speaking to a frightened settler, Pukk says, "I'm going to take you to town."

Pukk just went north.

The settler just wandered north.

Leafiara says, "...I said, then Pukk left."

Leafiara says, "Ah, well, it's probably fine."

Zachriel asks, "Where do the settlers want to go?"

Leafiara says, "These bandits have been really weak."

Speaking to Zachriel, Leafiara says, "The camp in the Lower Dragonsclaw, it's up a trail."

[OOC note: Leafi leaves to get a Lich room number for Zachriel, then returns and Tikba leaves the area]

Leafiara says, "Eh, it's fine, I'm sufficient..."

[General] Stormyrain asks, "Anymore settlers needing escort?"

A huge crimson bulbous spider skitters out of the woods then suddenly stops. It explodes outward, blood and goop as Sablo comes barreling through it....with his tomahawks glistening with spider guts. He howls, bathed in red and black ichor, as he races back into the forest.

[General] Vaemyr thinks, "I haven't found any."

[General] Dergoatean thinks, "I just ran to down and ran past a frightened settler in dragonsclaw."

[General] Dergoatean asks, "But I'm just getting here... are those the good guys?"

Leafiara says, "Seems quiet here."

[Leafi resumes patrolling town]

[General] Dergoatean asks, "Reivers??"

[General] Leafiara thinks, "It's the usual story, Goat, meaning very long and convoluted."

[General] Sinalee asks, "Does a reiver sound like a good guy?"

[General] Dergoatean thinks, "I bet it all somehow ties back to about 13 years ago."

[General] Nyaria thinks, "Well actually yes... they have been known to be such."

[General] Leafiara thinks, "Longer. Back to Hagga."

[General] Zachriel thinks, "There's a settler looking for somebody near the west gate."

[General] Dergoatean thinks, "When that darned galestone dropped out of the sky."

[travel and minor combat, but town is clear]

[General] Mucarluk thinks, "Im getting some reiver action near the trail to voln."

The ghostly voice of Evia says, "Carrying both a corpse and a settler."

[travel and combat; patrol resumes]

[General] Caranorn thinks, "Large number in TSNW."

[travel and combat]

[General] Leafiara thinks, "Was a pretty small number, but dead now."

[travel and combat]

BOOM! A fiery red explosion rocks the town barracks!

[travel]

The Symbol of Need begins to burn in your mind and an image appears before you of Leafiara...

[Wehnimer's, North Ring Rd.]

The east-west road continues, closed in on the south by the militia barracks and on the north by the twelve-foot-high wall of the city itself. The occasional thud of leather boots in unison upon cobbled pavement and the clipped shouts of barked orders reverberate off the modwir walls along this part of the road. The scents of leather, weapon oil and hearty cooking fill the night air. You also see a crackling fire, a crackling fire, a crackling fire, a crackling fire, a crackling fire, a crackling fire and the town barracks.

[General] The ghost of Pukk thinks, "I saved a settler but I really didn't want to. The poor soul kept following me around."

[General] Leafiara exclaims, "Barracks on fire!"

[Leafi runs to grab buckets, then returns to find...]

[General] Perigourd exclaims, "They're burning the town!"

You also see a masked black-shrouded figure that appears dead, a masked black-shrouded figure, a masked black-shrouded figure that appears dead, a masked black-shrouded figure that appears dead, a masked black-shrouded figure that appears dead, a hooded black cloak, some slouched black leather boots, a heavy crossbow, a nimble black-shrouded archer that appears dead, a nimble black-shrouded archer that appears dead, a nimble black-shrouded archer that appears dead, a nimble black-shrouded archer that appears dead, a nimble black-shrouded archer that appears dead, a black handaxe, some slouched black leather boots, a hooded black cloak, a black handaxe, a lithe black-shrouded ranger that appears dead, a lithe black-shrouded ranger that appears dead, a lithe black-shrouded ranger that appears dead, an enruned monir strongbox, a hooded black cloak, some slouched black leather boots, a black handaxe, a lithe black-shrouded ranger that appears dead, an iron bucket, a lithe black-shrouded ranger that appears dead, a plump tabby cat, a desiccated arm, a pair of three-fingered arms, a mangled arm, a pair of flayed arms, the palm frond-shaped Leafiara disk, a tall black-shrouded wizard that appears dead, a tall black-shrouded wizard that appears dead, a tall black-shrouded wizard that appears dead, a tall black-shrouded wizard that appears dead, the Vaemyr disk, an animated flayed gigas disciple, the Stormyrain disk, the Kelfyr disk, a grizzled porcupine, a crackling fire, a crackling fire, a crackling fire, a crackling fire, a crackling fire, a crackling fire and the town barracks.

[General] Cryheart asks, "Take the settlers back to camp?"

Vaemyr says, "They'll ahve to get through us."

[fire fighting]

[General] Villorn thinks, "Where do i take them."

[General] Mucarluk asks, "Where are we taking the settlers?"

[General] Cryheart thinks, "Take to the camp."

BOOM! An explosion erupts near the Rusty Cutlass, and dockworkers scramble to safety as flames rise to the sky!

[General] Villorn thinks, "Where is that."

Leafiara says, "Ack."

Vaemyr says, "Cutlass too."

[Leafi runs to grab more buckets, then off to...]

[General] Nathan thinks, "Theyre taking the settlers it iseng-camp."

[General] Pukk thinks, "The settlement. Even if the town is a better option they insist on going there."

[General] Stormyrain thinks, "No sign of any entrance to the cells at the barracks."

[General] Nyaria thinks, "Who ever is giving me these fireworks, thank you."

[Wehnimer's, North Dock]

The dock's planks are dull and weathered from the salt spray of many seasons. Northward beyond the massive sea gates, a flock of ice geese passes, silhouetted against the sky over the waters of Darkstone Bay. The hulk of a derelict coastal sailer is tethered to the end of the pier. You also see a crackling fire, a crackling fire, a crackling fire, a crackling fire, a crackling fire, a crackling fire, a crackling fire, a portly portmaster, a stack of empty crates, a wide ramp, a rope-lined wooden plank bridge that leads to the archway of a large moored white-masted ship and a huge grey imperial warship.

The ghostly voice of Jadedragan says, "I'll get myself back, just want to see what happens here."

The ghostly voice of Jadedragan says, "Ah, that."

Stormyrain says, "I need to be at the barracks."

[General] Sablo thinks, "Caravans are almost all to safety. Keep up the pressure. Do not let the enemy gather."

[General] Leafiara exclaims, "RYSK members! If you're awake, we need help at the Rusty Cutlass before it burns!"

Speaking to a grizzled porcupine, Dergoatean says, "You look oddly like my bounty task."

Leafiara asks, "The barracks need help too still, yes?"

[fire fighting]

Leafiara says, "Whew."

Dergoatean says, "Barracks, then."

[General] Leafiara asks, "Fire at the Cutlass out. How's the barracks?"

[travel and combat]

[General] Cryheart thinks, "Found antoher settler."

[combat]

[General] Stormyrain thinks, "Fires are out at the barracks."

[General] Perigourd thinks, "One here too."

Lylia says, "Not today."

[combat]

[General] Perigourd thinks, "Some made it to town."

[combat]

[General] Dergoatean thinks, "Fire out, outside the barracks."

[patrolling resumes]

[General] Leafiara thinks, "Scouring town for Remnants."

[General] Pukk asks, "Where is the barracks again?"

Speaking to Leafiara, Dergoatean says, "Just fodder for the brooch."

[General] Leafiara condescendingly thinks, "Aww, couple dozen of you dead in no time..." [OOC note: Turns out it was just over three dozen! For future reference, so far the Remnants have mechanically been presented as creatures that can be killed with crits and only seem to have around 400 health, so a top end bard (magical bard), cleric, or wizard could mow down dozens of them on their own with ease... which is basically what happened here. Thaxius and Goat obviously killed some, but picking them off one at a time. (Goat could normally handle this on his own too, as Leafi says in a bit, but he didn't have his enhancives or whatever he needs for his usual war sorc setup.)]

Dergoatean says, "Not dressed for physical combar, unfortunately."

Leafiara viciously exclaims, "Get 'em!"

[but that room is clear, so she's off to patrol with Goat; however, they find no more Remnants]

[General] Vaemyr thinks, "That's right come at us, you cowards."

[General] Directed to Leafiara, Pukk thinks, "Call out if you see any of the old remnants." [too late, too easy to obliterate!]

[General] Dergoatean thinks, "That disciple is a LONG way from home." [Vaemyr's animated gigas disciple]

[travel]

[General] Vaemyr thinks, "Nah he's a new citizen."

[General] Cryheart asks, "We hae folks patrolling around the outside area....I can see no more settlers or brutes...anyone else?"

Leafiara says, "Hmm."

Leafiara asks, "That was all they had?" [the Remnants]

Leafiara says, "Sad, really."

[General] Missoni thinks, "We do not see any on the mine road, though the reiver forces are still here."

Speaking to Leafiara, Dergoatean says, "I'm fighting at about half strength here, so I won't taunt too loudly."

[patrol, but more nothing]

[Town Square Central]

This is the heart of the main square of Wehnimer's Landing. The impromptu shops of the bazaar are clustered around this central gathering place, where townsfolk, travellers, and adventurers meet to talk, conspire or raise expeditions to the far-flung reaches of Elanith. At the north end, an old well, with moss-covered stones and a craggy roof, is shaded from the moonlight by a strong, robust tree. The oak is tall and straight, and it is apparent that the roots run deep. You also see an enraged wasteland spirit that is flying around, a large acorn, some scored peppercorn flatbread, a jocular badland spirit that is flying around, a crystal amulet, a small statue, a disk of black olive-laden bread, a disk of black olive-laden bread, a small statue, the Kialeigh disk, the vermeil Myasarie disk draped with silver strands of tidal pearls, an old well, some wide stone benches with some stuff on it, an herbal remedy donation bin and a round silver-banded barrel.

Speaking to Leafiara, Tikba asks, "Have you driven the Remnants back into hiding?"

[General] Leafiara thinks, "Is anywhere swamped? The fires in town are out and the Remnants seem to have retreated."

Speaking to Tikba, Leafiara says, "Seems so."

Speaking to Tikba, Leafiara says, "Either Goat or I would have been enough for several dozen, never mind both of us."

Xess says, "Just a few stragglers in the forest."

[General] Pukk thinks, "The remnants know they will be slaughtered if they faced us directly."

Xess says, "Looks to be mostly under control."

[General] Leafiara adds, "Or maybe just all died."

[General] Dergoatean thinks, "Right... maybe they DIDN'T know that."

Tikba wryly says, "Imagine how much simpler tonight might have been, with Tyrrax's forces also present."

Speaking to Tikba, Jadedragan says, "Would've have been nice to have someone I actually wanted to attack."

Leafiara says, "I better drop off some boxes in case the Remnants return."

[Leafi goes to drop off boxes, then returns]

Battle's End

Several caravans roll out of the Lower Dragonsclaw forest, passing through a clearing with dozens of rugged imperial soldiers escorting them. Many of them are stained with blood, some their own, as they march the caravans into the settlement.

Speaking to Bellaja, Perigourd says, "You have my deepest apologies."

The ghostly voice of Bellaja says, "It's no worry."

The ghostly voice of Bellaja says, "I almost did it several times myself."

Vaemyr says, "Seems the Imperials learned they need an army to escort people nowadays though, rather than always relying on our "generous" townsfolk."

[General] Mucarluk asks, "Is that good that the caravans are safe?"

A warhorn sounds in the distance.

Vaemyr says, "That's their retreat signal I think."

[General] Dergoatean thinks, "Oh come on now."

[General] Villorn thinks, "Oo a gem."

[General] Vaemyr thinks, "That's them retreating I believe."

[General] Dergoatean asks, "Is that the retreat horn or the time-to-die horn?"

[General] Dergoatean thinks, "Fantastic."

[General] Pukk thinks, "Yes."

[General] Earthdiver thinks, "Not going to be a reiver settlement left, at this rate."

[General] Nyaria thinks, "The sanctuary at voln just fell? but we seem to be holding it for a bit."

Leafiara amusedly quotes, "This is for Rysus you witch..."

Tikba says, "Perhaps now that Elidal has soldiers he will no longer let his settlers wander about unguarded, as well."

[General] Stormyrain asks, "Status from all locations?"

Leafiara confesses, "Love it."

Speaking to Tikba, Kiyna says, "Hopefully."

[Leafi goes back to patrol]

[General] Leafiara thinks, "Streets seem clear."

[patrol throughout]

[General] Irval thinks, "Clearing the lyserian hills region still."

[General] Stormyrain thinks, "Camp seems to be ..calmer."

[General] Missoni thinks, "We just led the last settler I could find to the camp."

[General] Kiyna thinks, "Town seems clear."

[General] Mucarluk thinks, "I heard a warhorn."

[General] Stormyrain asks, "Commander Sablo? Report from your position? Do you need aid?"

[General] Leafiara thinks, "Nothing in the immediate vicinity of just outside the gates."

[General] Mucarluk thinks, "Wonder if thats a retreat blow or this aint over blow."

[Town Square Central]

Bellaja asks, "Can you believe that some axeman was trying to compliment in the middle of attacaking us?"

[General] Caranorn thinks, "Was nothing outside Voln anymore, there were reivers a bit earlier."

Speaking to Leafiara, Bellaja says, "Apparently he has a thing for eyes."

Villorn says, "Nothign in upper."

Speaking amusedly to Bellaja, Tikba says, "The power of the Seductress."

Speaking helpfully to Bellaja, Leafiara says, "You do have lovely eyes."

A lone figure emerges from the forest, his skin ruddy from layers of blood, his shoulder length hair matted to his face. Bits of bones and flesh cling to his body, some falling away as he marches along. His tomahawks are gripped tightly, blades angled downward, gore covering every inch of steel. His bear hide cloak glistens, slick with blood. He approaches the settlement.

[General] Gutstorm drunkenly asks, "Lylia, ish da Shire shafe?"

Speaking to Tikba, Bellaja says, "When I least expect it she comes through."

Speaking sincerely to Leafiara, Bellaja says, "Thanks."

Tikba says, "Ah, perhaps I will try to meet Sablo."

Speaking to Tikba, Bellaja says, "Luckily it distracted him enough that Peri took him out."

Vaemyr says, "I guess..."

Leafiara pleasedly says, "That was a satisfying night."

[General] Cryheart thinks, "Hard battle, all fought well."

[OOC note: Leafi sends a wolf to watch the camp, so it's possible I miss some monsterbold things in the next bit]

[Imperial Campsite]

Stumps pepper the spacious clearing, as stacked logs leave evidence of their recent removal. A grove of trees surrounds the area, leaving a natural palisade to add some security to the campsite. You also see the Gutstorm disk, an enraged wasteland spirit that is flying around, a grizzled giant purple squirrel with onyx black eyes, a fluffy white cat, the Peche disk, the Faiyth disk, the skull-shaped Irval disk, the Arahnim disk, a frightened settler, the Earthdiver disk, the repousse copper Perigourd disk raised in leafy designs, an emaciated black horse, the web-draped Missoni disk, a lazy wild crimson dog, a frightened settler, the Kelfyr disk, the Stormyrain disk, a grizzled porcupine, a frightened settler, a frightened settler, a frightened settler, a frightened settler, a frightened settler, a frightened settler, a frightened settler, a frightened settler, a frightened settler, a frightened settler, a frightened settler, a frightened settler, a frightened settler, a fresh blueberry doughnut, a moldy ginger cupcake, a moldy cherry cupcake, a moldy almond cupcake, some full plate, some full plate, some full plate, a steel-roofed huge wooden tower, a polished bronze lantern mounted on a wooden post and a wide dirt-covered trail.

Also here: Seaward Gutstorm, Dame Evia, Grand Lord Zachriel, Great Lord Caranorn, Dergoatean, Thaxius, Tikba, Jadedragan, Faiyth, Grand Lord Arahnim, Peche, Irval, The Notorious Xess, Emissary Samfelt, Lord Thrassus, Imperatrix Lylia, Sir Cryheart, Conquerer of Reim Perigourd, Earthdiver, Missoni, Stormyrain, Kelfyr

Lylia dryly remarks, "I did not survive, even with my fervent help."

Izden quietly says, "Died a little, killed a little."

[General] Pukk asks, "All fires are out?"

Speaking drunkenly to Samfelt, Gutstorm slurs, "Didja haul in lotta loot tonite?"

Izden quietly says, "Fun times all around."

Vaemyr says, "Looks like you all found a lot of settlers..."

Xess says, "I wish we could have cut down more of the bastards after that show in front of the forest."

Speaking to Samfelt, Missoni asks, "Is there any word of Lord Elidal's parents?"

Speaking to Vaemyr, Dergoatean says, "Well, that settles it."

Speaking to Vaemyr, Perigourd says, "Many in the vale, many in town."

Samfelt peers quizzically at Gutstorm.

Thrassus says, "Sablo is approaching, he will know hopefully."

Samfelt deeply says, "I did not go around looting the corpses of the dead. No."

Gutstorm grunts at Samfelt in understanding.

Speaking to Samfelt, Evia says, "They left you some armors and such...anyway."

Commander Sablo just arrived.

Rivulets of blood drip from Sablo.

Missoni greets, "Commander."

Mucarluk says, "Free armor and weapons for the settlers."

Speaking to Sablo, Irval says, "Don't you just love a warm welcome."

Speaking to Sablo, Thrassus says, "Wonderful timing on your return."

Sablo says, "Free people."

Speaking warmly to Sablo, Tikba says, "What a pleasure to see you again, Commander."

Sablo nods.

Samfelt bows to Sablo.

Samfelt deeply says, "Commander Sablo."

Sablo asks, "Who are you?"

Sablo peers quizzically at Samfelt.

Irval asks, "And what have you done with Samfelt?"

Cryheart says, "He is the Emissary, appointed by Lord Elidal."

Cryheart nods at Sablo.

Cryheart says, "And he defended the camp very well."

Samfelt deeply says, "I am Samfelt Cobbleman. Appointed by Lord Elidal as his Emissary and Herald of Darkstone."

Sablo asks, "Emissary?"

Samfelt deeply says, "At your service."

Sablo shrugs.

Irval whispers something to Sablo.

Sablo nods at Irval.

Sablo asks, "Oh, the runner boy?"

Sablo peers quizzically at Irval.

Irval shrugs.

Irval nods at Sablo.

Tikba mildly says, "Elidal needed an envoy."

Xess says, "If you ask the soldiers, I may have done more damage than helped."

Samfelt deeply says, "I can let Lord Elidal know you have arrived, if you wish."

Sablo twists slightly, cracking his spine. He looks much better.

Samfelt nods at Sablo.

Sablo says, "He knows."

Speaking to Sablo, Vaemyr asks, "So, are his parents safe?"

Samfelt deeply says, "Excellent, then you have done some of my work for me."

Stormyrain murmurs, "I'm quite sure the entire region knows."

Samfelt smiles.

Lylia agrees, "I doubt anyone missed your arrival."

Sablo says, "His parents are safe. They were taken to the Outpost."

Speaking to Sablo, Perigourd says, "Very good."

Sablo says, "The little elf will take care of them."

Mourdeyan says, "Indeed."

Speaking to Sablo, Kiyna asks, "You really are more in your element covered head to toe in blood, huh?"

Sablo carefully hangs his tomahawk from his scabbard.

Sablo carefully hangs his tomahawk from his scabbard. It rattles against the tomahawk hanging from it, and he carefully adjusts them.

Sablo says, "We are all born in blood. Some just forget that."

Irval says, "Some play with bloodying their enemies. Others bathe in it."

Leafiara admits, "That's about the first thing I've heard any Imperial from the barony say that I agree with." [rendered in italics because Leafi's watching from a distance, not with the group]

Mucarluk says, "Good point."

Sablo asks, "Will I be accosted now? For splitting open spiders, or trampling on the skulls of reivers?"

Evia says, "Except for Missoni, that involved glitter."

Lylia remarks, "Says the man who slaughtered every sailor he could find on The Shiver."

Samfelt deeply says, "I will see that the new arrivals find bedrolls and a place to keep dry."

Samfelt bows.

Emissary Samfelt just went east.

Cryheart says, "I dinnae think so."

Speaking to Sablo, Perigourd asks, "Has much news reached you since you've been away?"

Speaking to Sablo, Vaemyr says, "They started it."

Lylia loftily says, "I do not think any of us have dry ground from which to cast aspersions; we are all up to our knees in a river of blood. So, let us move past it."

Speaking to Sablo, Bellaja says, "Probably. There's a lot of finger pointing."

Sablo says, "There is not a battle I am unprepared for, but with this crowd...I am never certain."

Earthdiver says, "Oh."

Earthdiver says, "I brought you with me."

Mourdeyan says, "Some you can be sure of."

Speaking to Sablo, Missoni says, "I expect even you know the difference between this battle and the other."

Thrassus says, "The Councilor is correct, they started this."

Earthdiver says, "And there she goes."

Speaking mildly to Missoni, Tikba agrees, "Yes."

Sablo says, "I received some news, perhaps days behind."

Faiyth says, "They were trying to sneak into kobold village.. had to end em right quick."

Jadedragan says, "Guess it's always true that the victors dictate the truth."

Gutstorm drunkenly slurs, "Cryheart, ye may need to carry me, am run all over da place tonite."

Sablo says, "I know of of the splinters."

Speaking to Jadedragan, Mucarluk says, "The reivers I face seemed a little unseasoned."

Speaking to Sablo, Vaemyr says, "And after talking with the Dikirk it seems like the only end to this is the destruction of either you all here or the ember vale. So..."

Sablo says, "Two reivers, two rooks. Four graves."

Sablo asks, "Did you expect anything less?"

Sablo peers quizzically at Vaemyr.

Mucarluk says, "Maybe testing our weakpoints."

Tikba mildly says, "As Vaemyr suggests, many have had a change of heart since your departure."

Speaking to Sablo, Vaemyr says, "Expect? no, hope? sure. I always hope that people will be civilized."

Vaemyr says, "And see reason."

Sablo says, "Imagine a whole village of grifflet crushers, and you have the reivers."

Jadedragan says, "That's not close to the truth."

Sablo says, "Hope does not win wars. It may start them, but it does not end them."

Sablo nods at Vaemyr.

Speaking to Sablo, Perigourd says, "Do not be so quick to judge all the reivers in one breath."

Speaking firmly to Sablo, Tikba agrees, "Action does."

Missoni murmurs, "Hope leads to action."

Speaking to Sablo, Perigourd says, "They have aided in the past, and warned us of the attack this eve."

Speaking to Sablo, Mucarluk says, "The ending comes after many deaths and lots of bloodshed."

Sablo says, "When your enemy is dead and gone, then you can hope. You can hope for some rest, you can hope that you forget their faces and screams, and you can hope your next enemy remembers it too."

Mourdeyan says, "And despair to inaction...can be crippling."

Caranorn says, "Indeed, they have been our friends and neighbours for a long time."

Speaking to Sablo, Jadedragan says, "Seems an easy way to just slaughter your way through life. So long as your arms can maintain the killing."

Sablo says, "Then, and only then, will we drink to hope Councilor."

Sablo nods at Vaemyr.

Speaking to Sablo, Vaemyr says, "That's why I bring my magic and summons to bear. They've attacked our town multiple times now, even when they were "neurtal" they consort with Arachne Cultists that take and feed on our citizens. They'll be destroyed."

Lylia says, "Since at least twenty-five years or so ago, when they boiled up and attacked the town viciously. They are feral people. You can accustom them to you, to some extent. Perhaps even share some moments of amity."

Vaemyr says, "But... I'll never stop hoping that there aren't other, better ways."

Lylia says, "But they are not allies or friends. No more than the krolvin are. They are very much two pieces of the same broken crockery."

Stormyrain wearily asks, "It is late, and the night has been filled with hours of being on the killing field. Can we mayhaps save the theoretical debates for a night when we're not riding bloodlust and --exhaustion?"

Sablo flicks gore from his arm. Reiver? Spider? Rook? He shrugs.

Mourdeyan says, "Here, here Marshall."

[General] Pukk thinks, "Sablo, remember. Some of us Rooks saved settlers. We didn't have to but we did."

Sablo says, "I suppose a thank you is in order."

Speaking to Lylia, Missoni says, "They have been allies more recently than that raid, though. I believe they still can be."

Cryheart says, "Ye can thank us later."

Missoni adds, "Just not the Ember Vale."

Tikba says, "Indeed, the reivers are not a theoretical problem. They are a real one."

[General] Sablo asks, "You are a Rook?"

[General] Pukk thinks, "I am."

Xess says, "I would simply ask you not put a warrant out for my several assaults."

Cryheart says, "But we thank ye on your timely arrival."

Lylia acknowledges, "It is possible. But Dikirk seemed less amenable than we may have hoped."

Sablo says, "The settlers, the Baron, and I thank you."

Stormyrain says, "But which faction, and what to do about is..and that is what is being debated."

[General] Pukk thinks, "I am proud to protect my town and I protected settlers too."

Tikba amusedly says, "Diplomatically said, Commander."

Speaking to Stormyrain, Perigourd asks, "I expect those atop Luinne Bheinn did not engage, otherwise why warn us?"

Speaking to Perigourd, Stormyrain says, "I agree with you."

Mourdeyan says, "Indeed."

Jadedragan says, "Just slaughter everyone and let Lorminstra sort it out. That's clearly the response we sohuld have here."

Xess asks, "Internal conflict?"

Irval says, "Your journey either smoothed your edges or sharpened them."

Sablo asks, "Has there been...clues to the location of this Ember Vale?"

Speaking to Jadedragan, Kiyna says, "Lorminstra can't be trusted to sort socks."

Speaking to Jadedragan, Caranorn exclaims, "And as a Lorminstran I say no to that!"

Irval whispers something to Sablo.

Speaking to Sablo, Lylia says, "We were taken there through a rift woven by spiders."

Tikba carefully says, "There was a portal opened for us, by spiders, in the forest."

Speaking to Lylia, Perigourd says, "I wonder if Enisius could do likewise."

Mourdeyan says, "It swallowed many."

Sablo grumbles.

Sablo says, "Magic."

Speaking to Sablo, Vaemyr says, "We were invited there, I recorded several landmarks and handed them to the cartographer, I asked others to do the same... I'm hoping with the information that everyone remembers we can locate them."

Sablo says, "Always fricken magic."

Speaking to Perigourd, Lylia says, "We could ask him, but I suspect his portal would be of a different nature."

Mourdeyan says, "Just so."

Speaking to Sablo, Kiyna says, "...On this, at least, we agree."

Sablo nods at Vaemyr.

Xess says, "More likely a alchemist plot."

Mucarluk annoyedly says, "I was almost spider food."

Xess says, "Magic is for the coots."

Speaking to Lylia, Perigourd agrees, "Less sticky, for certain."

Sablo says, "We'll find it, then you do your thing."

Sablo nods at Thrassus.

Missoni muses, "They seem to often engage on Liath Bheinn, though, and their warhorn sounds from that direction."

Speaking to Sablo, Vaemyr says, "I don't know if she's made any progress though."

Sablo says, "There's many mountains in that area."

Cryheart says, "Aye."

Sablo says, "Treacherous to even try to find it in some areas."

Vaemyr says, "Aye but the pit there, and such... they would be obvious."

Sablo blinks.

Vaemyr says, "I think we can narrow down and send talented scouts."

Sablo asks, "What?"

Evia says, "Gutstorm needs to learn to just roll around like a ball and give up on trying to walk."

Sablo asks, "Who armed them?"

Bellaja says, "They were well-armed. Wearing plate."

Lylia asks, "I read a missive about that. Now who signed it...?"

Jadedragan says, "Ain't a secret."

Irval whispers something to Sablo.

Jadedragan shrugs.

Sablo says, "Out with it."

Jadedragan glances at Sablo.

Sablo says, "Oh..."

Sablo glances at Jadedragan.

Sablo says, "Some people have said some things about you."

Sablo nods at Jadedragan.

Sablo asks, "Rumors? Lies?"

Jadedragan says, "Depends on what was said."

Tikba amusedly agrees, "As it must."

Jadedragan says, "But yeah, the reivers received arms from me. I am..."

Speaking to Gutstorm, Evia says, "You need to learn to just roll around like a ball and give up on walking."

Jadedragan glances to his left.

Jadedragan says, "Not the biggest fan of the Empire."

Sablo says, "Also..."

Jadedragan says, "I had hopes we could work together."

Jadedragan says, "Seems that hope was dashed."

Jadedragan says, "By their own actions, and yours."

Mucarluk says, "They are really building up a decent settlement."

[General] Leafiara offhandedly inquires, "Going to mention Tyrrax to him?"

[General] Gyren thinks, "So sepharia so I can make some pretty weak or low charge ones with alchemy once I join the wiz guild, but with charge item I can basically overcharge them and constantly prep them back up."

[General] Kiyna thinks, "I was thinking about it."

[General] Gyren thinks, "Oops."

Sablo marches up to Gutstorm and with speed unbefitting his size, snatches Gutstorm's right hand and squeezes it in his own, breaking bones and ripping flesh. He snarls.

[General] Xess thinks, "I just want to say, most of those reports on my assaulting the soldiers was mostly blown out of proportion."

Gutstorm drunkenly slurs, "Ow."

Evia says, "Eeh now."

Sablo says, "Stick another sign on my back, and you will wear it up your ass."

Speaking to Gutstorm, Perigourd says, "One too many, perhaps."

Gutstorm gulps.

Gutstorm drunkenly slurs, "Medic!"

As Perigourd waves the branding iron smoke pours from holes on the side and the tip begins glow red hot.

Perigourd takes his red hot branding iron and jabs the superheated metal into Gutstorm's open wound. Gutstorm lets out a bloodcurdling scream as the hot iron sizzles against his flesh, which begins to smoke and burn. Nonetheless, Perigourd does not remove the iron until the bleeding has stopped and naught but a blackened scar remains.

Lylia says, "A sign is not a blade."

Evia says, "Good thing he's a two fisted drinker."

Irval says, "Stand still."

Speaking to Perigourd, Stormyrain mutters, "If I'm ever bleeding, let me bleed over using that."

Perigourd's branding iron cools off, ready to be reheated.

Perigourd put a black branding iron in his suede cloak.

Gutstorm grunts at Perigourd his thanks.

[General] Barnessa drunkenly asks, "Was it blown with a cannon? or a gust of wind?"

Xess exclaims, "Gods someone get em some ale!"

Irval says, "Though I should let you stew in the pain a bit."

Sablo glances at Jadedragan.

Speaking to Lylia, Kiyna says, "Much more irritating."

Irval says, "Since I too have been the butt of your jokes."

Speaking to Stormyrain, Perigourd says, "Serves in a pinch."

[General] Xess thinks, "I can run better in the wind."

[General] Pukk thinks, "Oh that's the other thing. I'm protecting the town from a spider and the Night Watchman sees me and goes oh yeah. I'm going to take you in now and left the spider there."

[General] Xess thinks, "Priorities."

Sablo says, "You aren't mine to deal with at this time. I'll speak to the Baron. If you arm the enemy, you invite our wrath."

[General] Barnessa drunkenly thinks, "Fair *hic* enough... hmm apparently my thoughts hiiccup too..."

[General] Tikba amusedly thinks, "Perhaps he did not have enough shackles for the spider."

Sablo says, "Do not fill a jar with your little tears when that day comes."

Sablo nods at Jadedragan.

[General] Myasarie thinks, "That isnae good at all."

Jadedragan says, "I'm not your property to do with as you please."

Jadedragan squints at Sablo.

Gutstorm drunkenly slurs, "You got bad bed side manner Sabo."

Jadedragan says, "Commander or no."

[General] Leafiara offers, "He can buy plenty at Leafi's Confectionery Castle. West room."

[General] Nordred thinks, "Take it up with the town council, laws don't include spiders as able to committ crimes."

Jadedragan says, "I am not a citizen of your Empire to mete out any form of justice to."

[General] Directed to Tikba, Pukk thinks, "Okay. That does make sense..I guess I can forgive him."

Tikba politely says, "I fear you must appeal to Thadston Andrews. He is the mayor of the Landing."

Speaking to Gutstorm, Irval says, "Pot, meet kettle."

Sablo flicks another piece of gore from his armor. It is no coincidence it lands near Jadedragan.

Speaking mildly to Sablo, Tikba asks, "I believe you have met him?"

Sablo says, "Once or twice."

Jadedragan says, "The couth of Imperial officers seems to be sorely lacking."

Speaking to Jadedragan, Kelfyr asks, "You realize you're standing in their territory, yes?"

Sablo says, "I wasn't impressed."

Speaking to Kelfyr, Caranorn exclaims, "We are not!"

Speaking to Kelfyr, Jadedragan says, "Then he's free to do as he wishes."

Caranorn says, "That is still to be seen."

Leafiara considers, "Sablo and Irval have so much in common. Nobody to impress them except themselves..."

Sablo twists slightly, cracking his spine. He looks much better.

Mourdeyan says, "Gads."

Irval says, "Its all well and good until the arms you sell are used against the people of landing is the problem with what was done."

Speaking wryly to Sablo, Tikba says, "He tries his best, but he was born in Hendor."

Sablo looks out beyond the trail, eyes to the forest.

[General] Pukk thinks, "Well, good note is. Many people manned the ballistas tonight it seemed. And people were spot on in rescuing. Thank you Perigourd for the rescue and his awesome strength in dragging me back to town after I died. At least the settler was saved."

Irval says, "And the encampment itself."

Xess says, "If arms dealers had time to worry over where the point of a sword would end up, there'd be no wars."

Speaking to Sablo, Vaemyr says, "She's still out there, saw her last night."

Sablo peers quizzically at Vaemyr.

[General] Fugue asks, "Didja save all the settler caravans?"

Sablo says, "I'm watching for attackers."

Speaking to Sablo, Vaemyr says, "Thought you might be looking for Iliyaas."

Vaemyr shrugs.

Sablo waves his hand in a dismissive gesture.

Speaking to Sablo, Mucarluk asks, "Have you posted scouts?"

Speaking to Irval, Jadedragan says, "Nothing was sold."

[General] Pukk thinks, "No, just one. I thought he would be safer in town but he kept running around so I took him to the damn camp."

Sablo nods at Mucarluk.

Jadedragan says, "I really wish people would stop assuming that. I'm not a Merchant King like Amos."

Sablo says, "You'll see more of our scouts and soldiers now."

Speaking to Sablo, Perigourd says, "They seem well trained."

Mourdeyan says, "Already have."

Sablo says, "I understand there is even a crest now."

Sablo shrugs.

Mucarluk says, "I'd keep your sword close to your hips."

Sablo says, "Some are. We've men from many places. Hendor, Jantalar, Mestanir, Riverwood."

A young squire leads a horse through the area, stopping periodically to gently pat its neck and praise the steed before tugging on its reins and directing it elsewhere. [ambient message]

Xess says, "About that pardon."

Speaking to Sablo, Caranorn says, "And that is a problem, we have been seing ever more of those, for weeks and months now."

Lylia says, "Arms dealers sell weapons. They do not give them away."

Speaking to Lylia, Jadedragan says, "Exactly my point."

Sablo says, "Even a few from the far edges of Trauntor."

Evia says, "Maybe a bargain price of something like 30 pieces of silver."

Speaking to Sablo, Thrassus asks, "Veterans from the Wall?"

Speaking to Lylia, Mucarluk says, "Im sure illegal stuff gets smuggled into town from the docks."

Speaking to Sablo, Perigourd says, "Varied experience can be a good thing."

Caranorn asks, "And we should not be weary of those men ariving?"

Speaking uncertainly to Evia, Tikba says, "That would not cover the cost of the metal."

Speaking to Jadedragan, Kiyna offers, "Going out of your way to give them a gift without asking for payment seems to me even worse. Robs you even of the excuse of "it's just business"."

Faiyth says, "Yer boring."

Speaking to Sablo, Vaemyr says, "Glad to see your defenses here then will be increased."

Sablo says, "Not the Golvern Star, no."

Evia says, "As if some people have any concern whatsoever about the cost of anything these days."

Sablo nods at Vaemyr.

A dark-hoofed mottled white rolton just bounds in, bleating at the open sky then nibbling at the ground. [ambient message]

Jadedragan says, "I had some hope my brethren could be entreated with. That clearly failed."

Gutstorm drunkenly slurs, "Rolton eshcape?"

Sablo says, "I should fine water. I am parched, and the battle is over. There's no need to keep wearing blood."

Sablo says, "There will be plenty of time for that."

Perigourd offers Sablo some spring water.

Mourdeyan says, "Try Eonak."

Sablo says, "...thank you again."

Sablo accepts Perigourd's spring water.

Mourdeyan says, "Beautiful lake there."

Tikba says, "Be well, Sablo."

Evia says, "Hope in one boot, piss in the other, Pappa used to say..or something like that."

Speaking to Sablo, Missoni wishes, "Rest well."

Speaking to Sablo, Kiyna says, "Ah, Sablo."

Speaking to Sablo, Kiyna says, "If the sky fills up with odd sparkly stuff... just don't worry about it."

Mucarluk says, "Im going to the Cutlass for a drink. Assuming it is still there."

Speaking to Evia, Avrey says, "My da says the same thing."

Earthdiver says, "Don't pet the scarabs."

Gutstorm drunkenly slurs, "Awww, where me rolton goed?"

Sablo looks to the forest.

Speaking to Sablo, Vaemyr says, "Don't go toward the light..."

Tikba amusedly says, "Enisius will worry on your behalf."

Xess asks, "Really though, I'm pardoned right?"

Sablo says, "Well fought, and goodnight."

Sablo nods.

Speaking to Sablo, Perigourd says, "Fair eve."

Speaking to Sablo, Vaemyr says, "Try the black sands perhaps."

Cryheart says, "Rest well."

Mourdeyan says, "Rest well."

Speaking drunkenly to Xess, Gutstorm slurs, "Only da mayer kin pardon ye."

Thaxius says, "Good night."

Xess says, "But I smacked several imperial soldiers."

Avrey says, "Rest well."

Xess says, "Allegedly."

Sablo marches off, and many a settler gives him a wide berth as he passes.
