Summary
- Thrayzar slowly stumbles his way toward Moot Hall to say that Pylasar and Quinshon will be along shortly, having arranged a deal. Idly scratching at his neck, he continues that there have been reports of Brumas seen briefly and hard to follow, suspected to be hostile and unclear what hold Raznel has on him.
- As Thrayzar talks, he begins to slip into a rough orcish dialect and animalistic glares fill his eyes before he catches himself each time. He acknowledges something's happened with the curse and says he has to go, motioning to nearby militiamen to escort him away.
- Pylasar crawls in and jokes with the crowd a bit before explaining that it's time to meet with Quinshon at Lake Eonak soon and he cam to another agreement with Quinshon. He then wraps some purple reins around Sir Cryheart and mounts his back to ride on to Lake Eonak!
- While awaiting Quinshon, Magister Raelee asks Pylasar if he knows why he wanted Cordarius' blood; Pylasar dodges the question, saying "Maybe. Maybe not." Later he relents and says he thinks it was something to do with the Hall of Mages, but that their new deal doesn't require poking Cordarius nor her (Raelee).
- Berost asks about any insight regarding Brumas, but Pylasar just says he's sure the dwarf will show and that it's fascinating and not planned.
- Thrassus mentions curiosity about what Jerram said before his death regarding Peter stopping his escape; for the time being, Pylasar only says luckiy Jerram didn't escape and we've released another paragon.
- Quinshon arrives from the shadows and notes Chrysamber's absence, but Pylasar says she'll come when she needs to. They begin the ritual as Quinshon summons ethereal ribbons of light to burrow into Pylasar's head.
- They first navigate through memories of Pylasar's daughter Gracie as she coughs blood and asks if she or her mom will get better. She asks to be taken outside and he obliges, taking her out to see the sun. The memory moves on to later as a small coffin is lowered and figures toss deep purple hibiscus flowers into the grave.
- The next memory shows Falvicar as a young boy practicing with a wooden sword and being advised by his father to pick a path and grow strong to protect his mother. Another memory shifts to his father and mother taking care of packing up belongings while the young Falvicar trains in a nearby field. However, as they're stowing items in a wagon, Peter and Rachel appear and drag them into the distance.
- Peter asks Rachel if two isn't too much and says to let them go, but Rachel snaps back that only two more are needed. He says two at once is still a risk, seeming hesitant. He and Rachel finally toss down the sylvan parents, bound and gagged with bands of shadow, at the edge of the hilltop farm near a ravine.
- Rachel says she does only need one of them and releases their mouths as they stumble to their feet. Falvicar's father says to take him, as he's felled many of the witch's kind and demons beyond the wall and has "earned" this. Falvicar's mother says to take "us," as her son needs his father; Rachel and the father both ask about "us," before he realizes that she's with child.
- Peter begins to act, but stumbles in fear as Rachel tosses Falvicar's mother into the ravine below. She then turns to Peter and says "one it is."
- A small crystalline fragment floats into Quinshon's hands and he says he has what's needed for the Chronomage and will provide when the time is right, then melts away into the shadows.
- Pylasar offers his apologies to Falvicar and says we'll end her. Zosopage, who had been saying throughout the night that Peter at least tried to save one of them, says that Peter froze in fear and was too weak to stop Rachel in the moment. Pylasar, in the present, says that he could have stopped her and is a monster and Jerram was right--but ending the other monster is all he can do now. He says he'll understand if Falvicar can't face him, but Falvicar says he will and that he would want him to and expect nothing less.

[Town Square Central]
This is the heart of the main square of Wehnimer's Landing. The impromptu shops of the bazaar are clustered around this central gathering place, where townsfolk, travellers, and adventurers meet to talk, conspire or raise expeditions to the far-flung reaches of Elanith. At the north end, an old well, with moss-covered stones and a craggy roof, is shaded from the moonlight by a strong, robust tree. The oak is tall and straight, and it is apparent that the roots run deep. There are obvious signs of someone hidden in the area. You also see an herbal remedy donation bin and some stone benches with some stuff on it.
Also here: Event Planner Leafiara, Kronzcrest, Lady Alisette, Istafia, Apprentice Kewick who is sitting, Squire Legionnaire Quando, Lord Siggurd, Villorn, Lord Morofinwe, Cymbia, Nazrym, Tyrosthenes, Chaoswynd, Nosvanleryn, High Lady Laralana, Ferrinaust who is sitting, Berost who is sitting, Sofal, Sir Cryheart, Great Lord Demicone, Lord Chamorr, Shimmererer, Alistima, Harfgaar who is sitting, Deron, Arceste
Pukk recites quietly:
"Everybody join Cryheart!"
Leafiara flusteredly exclaims, "I leave for ten seconds!" (had stepped away when it wasn't raining)
Villorn says, "Ah I have payed much respects to Lorminstra."
Chamorr recites heartily:
"Everyone join Spurs"
Villorn says, "I should... live another day."
Cryheart says, "Aye."
Laralana happily exclaims, "Oh man... the impending doom is so EXCITING!"
Nosvanleryn asks, "Wait..what were we doing?"
Juspera says, "It's thundering."
Leafiara fondly agrees, "Sure is."
Nosvanleryn exclaims, "Oh not me!"
Nosvanleryn exclaims, "They'll squish me for sure!"
Juspera says, "I should go to bed, but."
Juspera says, "If something interesting is going to happen..."
Nosvanleryn says, "Good luck folks I think I'll go find my pillow."
Juspera says, "Maybe I'd stay for just a little bit of interestingness."
Thunder rumbles overhead.
Morofinwe quietly says, "Oh boy."
Laralana says, "Here we gooooo."
Kethrain: "Aahhh I hear the storm brewing."
Villorn says, "Oh man."
Chamorr heartily says, "It's close."
Juspera says, "Maybe it's just a storm."
Morofinwe quietly says, "Uh huh."
Lylia: "Well enough, despite the weather. And other concerns. But we rally and soldier on, do we not?"
Villorn says, "I'm thinking maybe I should go hide."
Chamorr sings:
"And it's one two three what are we fightin for
Whoopee we all gonna die"
Speaking optimistically to Villorn, Leafiara teases, "What's the worst that could happen?"
Speaking quietly to Villorn, Morofinwe says, "You can hide in my cloak."
Kethrain: "Other concerns? How bad are the... other concerns...?"
Villorn says, "I'm not even old enough to drink."
BOOM! A clap of thunder rattles the skies.
Speaking to Villorn, Leafiara suggests, "Could always start anyway, just in case ya never live to see tomorrow."
Leafiara marvels, "Oh, now that's the good -loud- thunder."
Lylia: "Well, the bay is awash with blood, the fishers have no catch, grain rots in fields, the beasts of the forest are ill, and the townsfolk are ailing. We have had easier times. But we have had worse."
Chamorr heartily says, "Today's a good day to die, my bar tab is due tomorrow."
Cryheart: "Amen."
Speaking to Lylia, Juspera asks, "When was it worse??"
Speaking to Juspera, Lylia says, "When there were death-camps set up on the other side of the Locksmehr River for half-Elves."
Kethrain: "Perhaps it would be prudent to warn the citizens to stay in doors and locked away safe and tight?"
Villorn says, "Maybe I should go commit a crime."
Juspera says, "I think I heard about that."
Villorn says, "And have the constable lock me up until it's all over."
Speaking heartily to Zosopage, Chamorr says, "This ain't da empire."
Pietra whispers something to Laralana.
Lylia adds, "Or when Elithain Cross attacked the town repeatedly despite avowals that we were not at war."
Lylia continues, "Then there was the time that a previous mayor went mad and set the town alight..."
Greenish-black flames spring to life in Lylia's hand...
Speaking in Faendryl, Xorus says something you don't understand.
Cryheart says, "Or when Jantalar declared war on us."
Lylia murmurs, "Let us hope that does not happen again."
Morofinwe quietly says, "I am not fond of Jantalar."
Cryheart says, "Jantalar is under a new baron..so much better now."
Kethrain: "Speaking of ill creatures there is a sick rolton at the north gate."
Chamorr heartily says, "Now we has a mayor overseein the blight."
Speaking deeply to Cryheart, Guarrin mutters, "I should've kept the baronial coronet."
Leafiara squints at Guarrin.
Lylia says, "The blight is its own misery because it is so grinding. We get no respite, and the enemy we face never tires."
Speaking deeply to Leafiara, Guarrin explains, "Hochstib's. After ..well... you know."
Juspera quietly says, "We'll figure out a way."
Thrayzar Updates
A figure in a grey cloak can be seen making his way towards Moot Hall, pulling the hood of his cloak down against the stinging rain as he slowly advances.
Morofinwe quietly says, "Oh boy."
Leafiara curiously says, "Hmm. Guess he might be feeling better... maybe." (OOC: missed that he was slowly advancing)
Villorn says, "I'm looking at all these animals.. sometimes when one moves.. it scares the daylights out of me." (referring to familiars and companions in Town Square Central)
Pukk quietly exclaims, "To Moot Hall!"
Rasson says, "Must be feeling better if he's back on the roof tops." (OOC: missed that he wasn't on the roofs)
Sir Cryheart's group just went east.
[Town Square, East]
Here in the center of a broad plaza near the commercial area of the bazaar stands the impressive facade of the slate-roofed Moot Hall, where the citizens of Wehnimer's Landing hold various official, religious and social functions. Facing the square are some of the town's more prosperous shops, still doing business with the many customers who still frequent the streets at night. You also see a large purple wooden barrel, a bone-framed bulletin board and a polished bleakstone statue.
Also here: Lord Wrenkin, Felita, Ushea, Pietra, Guarrin, Rasson, Zosopage, Bernadette, Event Planner Leafiara, Lord Morofinwe, Chaoswynd, High Lady Laralana, Berost, Sofal, Pukk, Razanetika, Lord Chamorr, Sir Cryheart, Nixlsplixt, Shinann, Radeek, Lady Alisette, Great Lord Gutstorm, Xorus, Kethrain, Juspera, Mayor Lylia
Lylia says, "I suppose a story counts as a good use of the board."
>read board
The following messages are written on the bulletin board: (NOTICE: This board is intended for PUBLIC ANNOUNCEMENTS pertaining to the town of Wehnimer's Landing. Feel free to post your messages regarding public gatherings and the like here, but make sure to keep them appropriate to public display.) quarantine the landing. the blight must be contained! Join the Rooks! Greetings citizens of Northern Barkland(Wehnimer's Landing in the common tongue of the two-leggeds). I am a representative of the Advance Western Wolf Pack informing you of a danger of utmost importance and greatest mortal peril Barkland has ever faced. This terror is caused by a rogue group of fugitive kittens that call themselves the Overlords and seek domination of the world mind controlling the weak with their cuteness. Do not be fooled by these fiends! Their evil knows no bounds and will turn even the most resiliant of two-leggeds into their slaves with but a look. Our advance team has stalked them to this town and we hunt for them daily to protect all within our domain, we ask that if you see of of these monster that you alert the closest wolf you can find and we will handle this matter of lunch... err terrible danger! These fiendish kittens are not to be confused with the new group of kitten wolf pack interns that travel with us, such kittens are here to study and learn the ways of the Pack. --- Captain of the Advanced Wolf Pack Hunters Mr. Fluffors the Grey (Some scratch marks have been carved onto the sign by the name). As of early this morning Captain Fluffors of the Advanced Wolf Pack Hunters lead his group into shanty town and found an enclave of Kitten Overlords subjagating many of Barkland's two-legged women over to their side to form a counter force. After much confusion and attempted cuddling and petting by the enslaved females the Pack Hunters were able to chase the Kitten Overlords down into the sewers before losing their trail. Captain Fluffors again stresses the need for the populace to stay away from these fiendish kittens and to contact your local Wolf Pack if you see one. Join da kittins! As of late tonight the Kittens climbed up the tree in the middle of the town square and we can only assume are holding hostages because they refuse to come down. Local muscle is looking to be recruited in an effort to purge the little things from the tree, the question arises why Wolves cannot do it themselves and they are perfectly capable of climbing up there(Honestly! Really they could if there was but a helpful set of stairs or a ramp) and we decided it was best to involve locals in the betterment of their town. -- Wolf Pack Rule 1) I am always right. Rule 2) If I am ever wrong, please see Rule 1. The town guard leans over to you and whispers, "I once spent a year waiting in a dark cave for a wise man to answer my questions. When he finally answered, he told me this: 'Don't think on night' ... Amazing eh? After a day's worth of negotiations with the rogue kitten group they released their hostages whom were allowed quickly escorted outside of town for their safety. When the Tree House was stormed no sign of any kittens were found other than one hostage left behind saying the others had been brainwashed for a ritual known as the SnMuggling, a process in which the victims are forced through coercive fuzzy means to hide and sneak Kittens off to safety. When the Pack caught up to the former hostage victims it was already too late, their bodies had been torn apart and eatten. Captain Fluffors wishes this to be remember by the local populace of why kittens should never be trusted. that story was Purrrr-fection! Ill thank you sweetly! <raises fist> Cryheart asks, "What the?" Cryheart asks, "It chafes" Captain Fluffors would like to provide some knowledge for the citizens of the wolf territory of Barkland, commonly referred to as Wehnimer's landing, in relation to protecting themselves and watching out for the evil Kitten Overlords. There are 3 primary things to watch out for: In social or being in the physical presence of said kitten that one or others become submissive or surrenders their will, 2 the smell of evil overpowers the odor of kittens, and finallly 3 if you notice said kitten after weeks, months or years does not seem to age that this is the undisputable sign of being a kitten overlord. After much deliberation it was decided between the local assisting Wolf Pack and town officials that this rash of threatening messages left to town officials and the theft of all the fish from the fisheries in town that said messages be made known to the public as a whole. The messages would be accompied by a dead headless bird and a tiny bloody paw print left as a signature, all the messages said "Surrender all your fishes to us or else! --- The K. O."
Speaking to a bone-framed bulletin board, Juspera says, "I think this is a little too long to read in one evening."
Lylia offhandedly says, "I shall deal with it later."
Leafiara muses, "Rooks, Warcats, the Wolf Pack, Kitten Overlords... what a wild town in every sense of the word."
A pale-faced coppery barn owl flies in.
The coppery barn owl hoots at Leafiara.
Speaking quietly to Leafiara, Morofinwe says, "It's a veritable zoo."
The coppery barn owl flies west.
Leafiara fondly says, "And Owly, of course."
Cryheart says, "Owly agreed."
Leafiara yells, "You're stilll the best, Owly!"
Morofinwe quietly says, "I am amazed he can still fly."
Gutstorm says, "Shomeday owlie will resht in me tumtum."
Chamorr sings:
"My kind of town
The Landing is"
Thrayzar just stumbled in, flailing his arms wildly while trying to right himself!
Speaking cautiously to Gutstorm, Leafiara warns, "I'd advise against that. He'd probably eat you from the inside out."
Speaking cautiously to Thrayzar, Leafiara observes, "...you've seen better days. More balanced days."
Speaking heartily to Thrayzar, Chamorr says, "Howdy."
Thrayzar pushes his hood back, letting the rain soak him.
Gutstorm drunkenly asks, "Bath time?"
Thrayzar grunts, "Evh,"
Thrayzar clears his throat.
Thrayzar says, "Evening."
Cryheart says, "Good evening Thrayzar."
Leafiara affably says, "Nonetheless, good eve."
Speaking to Thrayzar, Lylia says, "Good evening to you."
Thrayzar idly scratches himself on the neck.
Chamorr heartily says, "Uhoh."
Thrayzar says, "I talked to Pylasar."
Thrayzar says, "He'll be along shortly. With the black shaman."
Juspera asks, "...shortly like in a minute?"
Lylia says, "I see."
Thrayzar says, "I don't know what happened exactly, but..."
Leafiara curiously inquires, "So, who went and got the guy's blood then?"
Thrayzar idly scratches himself on the neck.
Thrayzar says, "A deal has been made."
Speaking quietly to Leafiara, Pukk says, "Goblyn probably."
Leafiara speculatively adds, "Knowing him, probably just took some lovely lady exchanging a date for blood..."
Lylia says, "No one has taken anyone's blood, to my knowledge."
Speaking to Pukk, Leafiara says, "...or that."
Cryheart asks, "Aye?" (to Thrayzar)
Wrenkin says, "Mighty fine armor you have there, Thrayzar."
Thrayzar says, "Also..."
Thrayzar says, "The dwarf is not gone. We've had some reports."
Thrayzar idly scratches himself on the neck.
Lylia says, "I wondered."
Cryheart asks, "Reports of?"
Zosopage says, "We've been debating on that."
Thrayzar says, "We suspect him to be hostile as well. So we need to be ready."
Speaking quietly to Thrayzar, Pukk says, "Well Happy is actually a halfling but we can call him a dwarf if you want."
Leafiara hopefully asks, "Is he easy enough to track down, at least?"
Cryheart asks, "So he may be attacking the Faendryl?" (confusing him with Jerram, I presume)
Lylia says, "I presume he is more likely to attack orcs. Or those he perceives as orcs."
Leafiara muses, "Maybe we can find him at a Guardians of Sunfist outpost."
Speaking quietly to Goblyn, Pukk exclaims, "Was just talking about you!" (she'd just arrived)
Thrayzar says, "I am not sure what...hold the witch has on him."
Speaking deeply to Thrayzar, Berost asks, "So he is a halfling? Looked dwarf enough when we saw him. Or this a different halfing an I need to go get more ale...?"
Lylia says, "In these reports, do you know anything of where he might be? The Dwarven Paragon, that is? And how..."
Thrayzar grunts, "Sar arl sharuld assutrarl nar arnarl ogs safarl."
Thrayzar grumbles.
Lylia says, "How is he released from his visions and still --"
Thrayzar idly scratches himself on the neck.
Thrayzar says, "So we should assume no one is safe..."
Leafiara guesss, "...relearning orc there?"
Morofinwe quietly asks, "A safari?"
Speaking quietly to Thrayzar, Pukk says, "Bless you."
Pietra asks, "This bodes... unwell?"
Speaking to Thrayzar, Lylia murmurs, "You may be in greater danger from him than most."
Cryheart says, "I am guessing how he could exist in this time era."
Felita says, "Gizuntie."
Thrayzar says, "No I am not sure where he is. They've spotted him briefly, perhaps he comes and goes from his pocket...he's been seen briefly, and hard to follow."
Thrayzar says, "Sar og atr naak surarl hat tar arlxparlct."
Thrayzar blinks.
Thrayzar says, "So I am not sure what to expect...."
Kethrain says, "Is there a pattern to his sightings? perhaps it will lead us in a direction he is going."
Pietra says, "He's not exactly bright, perhaps he can be trapped."
Zosopage says, "He still has the witch's magic in him. That's what's keeping him alive in our time I would think."
Lylia says, "Well, we have our answer, then, as to whether people as well as objects can cross from their own realities."
Xorus says, "Rather orcish dialect of Common."
Thrayzar Problems
Thrayzar suddenly stumbles for no apparent reason.
Berost deeply says, "Stil makes nae a bit o' sense to me. But. Magick."
Thrayzar grunts, "Og dar naak farlarll arlll."
Chamorr heartily asks, "What?"
Speaking to Thrayzar, Pietra asks, "Say that again, but slowly?"
Silvynn says, "Orc tongue most likely."
Xorus says, "No. It does not sound like you are well."
Speaking cautiously to Thrayzar, Leafiara suggests, "You might be interested in seeking some help."
Goldstr says, "Sorry I kin only speak common."
Thrayzar idly scratches himself on the neck.
Razanetika begins a careful examination of Thrayzar -- she takes his pulse, checks his temperature, and checks for broken bones or any other ailments.
Pukk quietly says, "Oh it's orc speak....I thought I drank some poison again."
Zosopage says, "Less whiskey or perhaps more..."
Speaking to Thrayzar, Kethrain asks, "Perhaps you are getting sick like the beasts of this area?"
Speaking softly to Leafiara, Razanetika says, "I do not think he is well."
Chamorr heartily says, "Looks like Thrayzar has got the blight."
Thrayzar looks off into the distance, an almost animalistic glare filling his eyes for a moment.
Speaking quietly to Zosopage, Morofinwe asks, "For which of us, though?"
Speaking flatly to Razanetika, Leafiara says, "Yeah... it's a pretty reasonable conclusion."
Lylia says, "Or an encroaching curse."
Bernadette softly says, "Some of town folk gettin sick as well."
Speaking softly to Leafiara, Razanetika says, "He seems to be -changing- tho."
Thrayzar touches his abdomen.
Speaking to Morofinwe, Zosopage says, "More for us, less for him maybe."
Radeek says, "Looks like da curse be affectin more'n jus' his body now...da mind'n spirit as well."
Leafiara concernedly speculates, "Maybe a doubling down of the previous curse... reinforcement, as it were..."
Thrayzar says, "Tr cursarl. Sartrarlgrogng happarlnarld."
Speaking softly to Leafiara, Razanetika says, "And I'm not so sure I like the change we're about to witness...."
Speaking to Bernadette, Lylia says, "Yes. All the more reason we must be quick, if possible, in dealing with Raznel."
Kethrain says, "Is tehre an empath in the house? this man needs help...."
Felita asks, "Ye hasa tummy ache?"
Speaking to Thrayzar, Shinann says, "Say something in common."
Pukk quietly says, "Something."
Alisette says, "His ailment is not physical."
Morofinwe quietly asks, "Can someone interpret?"
Xorus says, "Orcish is common. It is just pronounced badly."
Lylia says, "An empath is unlikely to help."
Cryheart says, "Remember who you were."
Cryheart nods at Thrayzar.
Speaking to Thrayzar, Goldstr asks, "Ye revertin back to orc? Kin ye still unnerstand common?"
The voice of Razanetika softly says, "If anyone here speaks orc... we've got bigger problems."
Rasson says, "Can only move at the pace Peter's mind can handle unfortunately."
Thrayzar grunts.
Lylia says, "I can understand some of it."
Xorus says, "He said something happened with his curse."
Thrayzar says, "Something has happened."
Felita says, "Mebbe ginger tea would hep ye."
Pukk quietly says, "Oh I misunderstood him. I thought he was telling us a new rolton and onion recipe."
Thrayzar pauses suddenly, almost crouching, glaring around with a blanket, angry stare.
Thrayzar grunts.
Pietra asks, "Can Pylasar help this?"
Lylia hisses, "Pull yourself together."
Thrayzar looks around as if startled or frightened and grabs for his weapon but then suddenly catches himself.
Speaking to Pietra, Leafiara says, "A mage... probably not..."
Speaking to Thrayzar, Kethrain says, "Easy mate... ya nae want ta be doin that."
Thrayzar says, "She...she did something."
Thrayzar slowly empties his lungs.
The voice of Razanetika softly says, "Perhaps he's sensing something...."
Lylia asks, "Something more? Something new?"
Speaking deeply to Thrayzar, Guarrin asks, "When?"
Shinann says, "I felt pains like yours a few days ago... in my abdomen."
Thrayzar says, "Peter will be along soon. I...I need to go."
Thrayzar grunts.
Speaking quietly to Leafiara, Pukk whispers aloud, "It was constipation."
Chamorr heartily asks, "Peter?"
Speaking to Thrayzar, Lylia says, "Rest."
Speaking concernedly to Shinann, Leafiara asks, "...and are -you-... losing any control?"
Thrayzar whispers something to Shinann.
Speaking to Thrayzar, Goldstr says, "Get inside."
Thrayzar grunts.
Speaking to Thrayzar, Pietra says, "Maybe... go lay down. And wrapped tightly in blankets. And belts."
Speaking to Thrayzar, Zosopage says, "Have a few stiff drinks and sleep restfully."
Thrayzar motions to an alleyway where some uniformed Militiamen come out and help escort Thrayzar safely away.
Kethrain says, "Might I suggest the temple, perhaps there he can find comfort in the Gods and their touch."
Razanetika softly says, "Very strange that..."
Cryheart says, "I wonder if his curse will be broken, if we eliminate Raznel."
Lylia says, "Have the Arkati helped thus far in matters related to the man's curse? I do not believe they have."
Greeting Pylasar
A bolt of purple lightning streaks overhead.
Speaking to Lylia, Kethrain says, "So we just turn our backs on them? perhaps they are waiting for us to ask for help?"
Speaking to Cryheart, Goldstr says, "I tinks mos curses will be broken den."
Chamorr heartily says, "He chose to stay an orc once."
Lylia says, "I do not think they would consider a pause in our eternal pestering 'turning our backs' on them."
Zosopage says, "Hrmm is that recruiter Brumas in disguise." (the dwarven recruiter for Sunfist had just come by)
Chamorr heartily says, "Then we murdered his clan."
Sofal says, "Curious, never see Peter and Thrayzar in the same place."
Lylia says, "If anything, they may relish the peace if they got a moment's cessation in prayers."
Alisette offers, "Either way, we cannot deny the Arkati. Even if it seems they are....not available."
Speaking in Faendryl to Xorus, Lylia says something you don't understand.
Speaking heartily to Leafiara, Chamorr says, "True." (I think referring to his own story of Thrayzar choosing to stay an orc, since Leafi hadn't said anything for him to agree with)
Lylia says, "No one is denying them anything in noting that they have not been of specific help with Thrayzar's affliction."
Speaking in Faendryl to Lylia, Kethrain says something you don't understand.
Speaking in Faendryl, Lylia replies something you don't understand.
Lord Pylasar just came crawling in.
Speaking in Faendryl, Kethrain asks something you don't understand.
Speaking lightly to Pylasar, Leafiara asks, "Your legs -do- still work, right?"
Pylasar searches around on the ground with his hands, holding his face and eyes close to the ground.
Speaking curiously to Pylasar, Goblyn asks, "You have lost more of your mind yet?"
Pylasar says, "Where did you go...where did you go..."
Speaking to Pylasar, Zosopage says, "Did you trip over Thrayzar on the way here."
Pylasar says, "I will find you...."
Pylasar says, "Close...close..."
Leafiara mutters, "Here we go again."
Speaking to Goblyn, Melikor says, "Seems so."
Speaking in Faendryl, Lylia says something you don't understand.
Speaking quietly to Pylasar, Pukk says, "Yes, what Goblyn asked..."
Speaking to Pylasar, Goldstr asks, "Evenin Peter. Ye feelin well?"
Cryheart asks, "What ye looking for Pylasar?"
Pylasar crawls around in circles on his knees, eyes almost to the ground.
Pylasar exclaims, "AH HA!"
Speaking to Pylasar, Lylia says, "Good evening to you."
Rasson asks, "You drop a silver?"
Pylasar leaps up to his feet and holds out his hand, the tip of his thumb tucked inbetween two of his fingers and sticking out.
Pylasar exclaims, "My nose!"
Pylasar stands up.
Pylasar places his "nose" from his hand up to his face and sniffs.
Speaking in Faendryl to Lylia, Kethrain says something you don't understand.
Speaking to Pylasar, Silvynn says, "Your nose is still on your face."
Zosopage asks, "It always knows?"
Speaking amusedly to Pylasar, Pietra says, "You seem well tonight."
Leafiara tentatively praises, "...well, glad you were able to get -that- sorted out."
Speaking amusedly to Silvynn, Goblyn says, "It is this... 'joke' it is called."
Pietra whispers something to Leafiara.
Pylasar twists his head slightly, cracking his neck. He looks relieved.
Morofinwe quietly says, "I hate when I lose my nose."
Speaking in Faendryl, Lylia coldly says something you don't understand.
Pylasar says, "Well."
Pylasar says, "It's raining."
Pylasar says, "I'm awake. You're awake."
Lylia says, "Yes."
Speaking in Faendryl to Lylia, Kethrain says something you don't understand.
Xorus whispers something to Goblyn.
Pylasar asks, "Shall we stroll down memory lane while I have a memory lane?"
Leafiara amicably says, "Sounds good."
Pietra says, "Oh my."
Speaking to Pylasar, Silvynn says, "It always rains when you are here."
Speaking deeply to Pylasar, Guarrin asks, "Feeling up to it?"
Leafiara suddenly asks, "Wait, where's Quinshon?"
Felita says, "I loves strolls."
Pylasar says, "He'll meet us soon. At the lake."
Pylasar says, "I um..."
Leafiara marvels, "...so even he needs the lake..."
Pylasar says, "I got word of his request. Awfully bloody."
Pylasar says, "We came to another agreement."
Pylasar asks, "We don't need to be sticking any mages. You know?"
Raelee frowns at Pylasar.
Pylasar asks, "Unlesswedoamiright?"
Pylasar peers quizzically at Raelee.
Pylasar snickers.
Lylia says, "So many agreements made. You should tell us more of them as we walk, perhaps."
Pylasar says, "I'm good." (not sure if in response to Lylia or just laughing at his own humor)
Speaking slowly to Pylasar, Goblyn says, "You are very strange, Peter."
Pylasar joins Cryheart's group.
Speaking to Pylasar, Goldstr says, "Best nae."
Pylasar says, "Let's go Cryblob."
Speaking lightly to Goblyn, Leafiara says, "To put it mildly."
Xorus says, "This agreement sounds fascinating."
Pylasar removes some purple leather reins and wraps them around Cryheart's waist.
Pylasar says, "Giddyup."
Cryheart raises an eyebrow.
Cryheart starts chortling.
Rasson says, "Um."
Cryheart asks, "Ye gain some weight?"
Felita says, "Oo I likes that."
Speaking to Cryheart, Lylia says, "Better you than me, my friend."
Pylasar climbs up onto Cryheart's back like a small child. Except, he is not.
Cryheart says, "Ooof."
Cryheart leans forward.
Pylasar playfully kicks at Cryheart's sides.
Morofinwe quietly says, "Oh boy."
Cryheart says, "Ye hae gotten heavier."
Pylasar exclaims, "Stubborn beast, giddyup!"
Speaking to Cryheart, Silvynn says, "That is not very dignified."
Cryheart begins chortling at Pylasar.
Goblyn happily exclaims, "Now it is Cryblob who is very strange!"
Speaking to Cryheart, Leafiara teases, "...need some armor support to help?"
Cryheart says, "Nae, I can handle it."
Cryheart asks, "Where we going?"
Cryheart grins at Pylasar.
Morofinwe quietly says, "I hope he doesn't request spurs."
Pylasar says, "The lake."
Cryheart asks, "To find ye ears?"
Lylia says, "To the lake."
Cryheart says, "Ok."
Speaking to Leafiara, Kethrain says, "Mayhaps some wizard streagth."
Rasson says, "The lake."
Speaking to Cryheart, Pietra says, "Make sure to walk really slowly."
Cryheart says, "Neigh."
Silvynn says, "Pylaheart."
[travel begins]
Silvynn says, "Crysar."
Goblyn asks, "Cryorse?"
Chamorr heartily says, "Crylasar."
[travel concludes]
[Melgorehn's Reach, Lake Eonak]
You are on the bank of a beautiful mountain lake that is fed by a waterfall gushing from the mountain side. There is a path which seems to actually lead up the side of the mountain. You also see a barely visible trail leading into a grove of ancient trees and a cedar chip path.
Speaking to Chamorr, Goblyn exclaims, "Crylasareed!"
Cryheart says, "Made it."
Pylasar exclaims, "Cryntaur!"
Cryheart says, "Wait."
Cryheart hangs his head.
Cryheart says, "I see my own feet."
Pylasar asks, "But which one of us has the lower torso parts of a horse?"
Pylasar says, "Don'tanswertthat."
Pylasar winks.
Speaking to Cryheart, Goldstr says, "Least ye kin Spur yerself."
Leafiara mildly agrees, "...don't even wanna know."
Pylasar slides down off of Cryheart's back.
Morofinwe quietly says, "There's an image I didn't need."
Xorus dryly says, "The one that sticks mages."
Speaking to Pylasar, Silvynn says, "That person you are speakin of is absent."
Speaking to Cryheart, Zosopage says, "I think you have a monkey on your back, or something."
Cryheart says, "Did."
Zosopage says, "Had."
Pylasar pulls out a red apple from behind his ear.
Pylasar offers Cryheart a crisp red apple.
Cryheart snickers.
Cryheart accepts Pylasar's red apple.
Cryheart says, "Thank ye."
Morofinwe quietly says, "That is so mean...."
Cryheart says, "Can feed my horse."
Cryheart sniffs at his red apple.
Pylasar says, "I left my sugar cubes in my other ear."
Pylasar leans on Cryheart, giving him a companionable grin.
Cryheart begins chortling at Pylasar.
Pylasar says, "You're a good man Sir Cryheart. I've always liked you. Remember that."
Cryheart glances at a crisp red apple in his hand.
Pylasar gives Cryheart a friendly hug.
Cryheart hugs Pylasar.
Cryheart says, "Feeling is mutual."
Quinshon's Arrival
Pylasar slowly empties his lungs.
Pylasar says, "Black shaman or late shaman..."
Speaking to Pylasar, Raelee asks, "... do you know why he wanted Cordarius's blood?"
Xorus says, "The witching hour."
Pylasar shrugs at Raelee.
Sofal removes a ripe red apple from in his deer skin backpack.
Sofal offers Pukk a ripe red apple.
Pylasar says, "Maybe. Maybe not. Who's to say."
Speaking deeply to Pylasar, Berost asks, "Not ta be grumpier than usual, but I got an ancient member of me clan, possibly, runnin about doin who kows what ... an it be makin exacly zero sense.. care ta try while we be waitin with no ale ta keep us busy?"
Speaking to Pylasar, Raelee says, "You are. You are to say."
Speaking to Pylasar, Goblyn exclaims, "You are!"
Speaking quietly to Sofal, Pukk asks, "You can pull one out of your ear too?"
Pylasar grins at Berost.
Sofal says, "Well from my backpack."
Pylasar says, "Yes, I am sure the dwarf will show up."
Pylasar says, "Fascinating, and not quite planned."
Berost deeply says, "That explains exactly... nothing."
Speaking quietly to Sofal, Pukk says, "It tastes like it...it's rotten....must have came out of your ear."
Pylasar says, "I think he wanted it for something to do with the Hall."
Pylasar nods at Raelee.
Sofal says, "It also gave you a silver glow, may want to see an empath about that."
Pylasar says, "But, we have a deal that required not poking Cordarius."
Pylasar says, "Or you."
vPylasar says, "So we're golden."
Speaking to Pylasar, Raelee says, "I do not think we are."
Thrassus says, "I am curious about what Jerram said before he met a true death."
Guarrin deeply asks, "And instead of the blood?"
Speaking quietly to Sofal, Pukk says, "I think that is just my sparkling personality shining through."
Quinshon forms from the shadows.
Speaking to Thrassus, Lylia asks, "I believe I know what you mean, but which thing?"
Pylasar blinks.
Pylasar says, "Dramatic. Almost made me pee."
Speaking to Lylia, Thrassus says, "About his attempted escape."
Speaking quietly in Tehir to Quinshon, Pukk exclaims something you don't understand.
Pylasar glances at Thrassus.
Speaking slowly to Pylasar, Raelee says, "I hear that is a common problem with age."
Speaking in Tehir to Quinshon, Wolfloner says something you don't understand.
Speaking to Thrassus, Lylia says, "Yes. The time Jerram tried to escape and was foiled in his attempt."
Goblyn whispers something to Umbazi.
Bernadette nods to Quinshon in greeting.
Pylasar says, "Luckily Jerram did not escape."
Lylia says, "But his words did."
Pylasar says, "And you've released another paragon."
Lylia says, "Yes. Doing as we had to do."
Quinshon Gets Started
Quinshon glances at Pylasar.
Quinshon quietly asks, "The chronomage is not coming?"
Pylasar says, "She will when she needs to, if this works like you claim."
Pylasar nods at Quinshon.
Quinshon quietly says, "If you are ready."
Quinshon nods at Pylasar.
Speaking to a forest wolf, Rasson says, "Empaths do smell a bit like food."
Felita says, "Pretty."
Pylasar says, "Yep."
Pylasar asks, "Do I need to go sit in the lake again?"
Quinshon quietly says, "No."
Quinshon quietly says, "I work much differently."
Quinshon quietly says, "You can sit if that helps."
Pylasar shrugs.
Pylasar sits down.
Pukk quietly says, "Oooh good."
Pukk recites quietly:
"Everybody sit next to Cryheart!"
Quinshon quietly asks, "Do you truly think I failed?"
Quinshon peers quizzically at Shinann.
Shinann says, "Yes."
Quinshon smirks.
Stormyrain offers, "I said that, not her." (either whispers or thoughts; in either case Quinshon can hear, being a skilled mentalist)
Quinshon moves to stand in front of Pylasar.
Pylasar says, "Be gentle. Unlike last time."
Speaking to a forest wolf, Zosopage says, "I wouldn't, might get rabies."
Goldstr whispers to the group, "I almost said Get a room!"
Quinshon gestures, weaving his hands before Pylasar as ethereal ribbons of light, pale as ghostly veins, form in the air and snake towards Pylasar, slowly burrowing into his head like opaque roa'ters diving beneath the earth.
Razanetika softly exclaims, "Neat!"
Pylasar slowly empties his lungs.
Pylasar gazes in wonder at his surroundings.
Chamorr heartily says, "Brain worms."
Speaking to Razanetika, Sofal says, "Until they come back out of the earth."
Speaking softly to Sofal, Razanetika exclaims, "I'm ready for roa'ters!"
Morofinwe quietly says, "Oh. Boy."
Speaking to a white paint spattered ferret, Kethrain says, "Davinchi behave."
Quinshon turns his fingers, twisting them in the air as the ethereal strands of energy shift and thicken, still floating lazily in the air while each end is sunken into Pylasar's head.
Razanetika whispers something to Sofal.
Quinshon nods at Xorus. (whispers or thoughts)
Pylasar snaps his eyes open wide, his pupils almost crystalline.
Pylasar leans forward, almost slumping as the ethereal bands of light thicken to almost a tattered curtain, flapping about like a shredded tapestry, glowing and glistening and shifting with blurred images.
Speaking to Pylasar, Goldstr exclaims, "Remember Peter Focus!"
Speaking to Goldstr, Ushea says, "I just met the man, and I don't think that's possible."
Speaking to Ushea, Goldstr says, "He can an does at dese times."
Gracie Fading
Within the ethereal lights the image of a young girl appears, a thick blanket pulled neatly up to her neck as she lays tucked into a bed. A candle flickers at her nightstand. Her hair is fair like the sun, but her green eyes throb with pain, rimmed in tears. The young child coughs, blood specks flying from her mouth to splatter along the blanket.
Goblyn whispers something to Pukk.
Pylasar sighs.
Pylasar asks, "Really?"
Pylasar peers quizzically at Quinshon.
Quinshon quietly says, "It is your mind we navigate. We will find the path."
Quinshon quietly says, "Do you wish me to once more remove..."
Pylasar says, "No. Don't you dare."
Pylasar reaches out and touches something in a small purple sack.
Speaking curiously to Pylasar, Goblyn wonders, "She is always at the front, yes?"
Within the ethereal lights Peter can be seen, sitting at the beside of the young girl. He cups her frail hand in his, tears falling from his own face to land on her blanket, wettening it next to the bloodstains. The girl coughs again, wheezing, body convulsing. Peter looks away only once, then returns his gaze to the child.
Within the ethereal lights a young, weak voice says, "...daddy...will I get better?"
Goldstr says, "His memory canna leave her."
Within the ethereal lights a young, weak voice says, "...will mommy get better?"
Umbazi says, "Memories like that burn--but it's hard to let go of them. Everyone wants to rewrite the past and make it better than it was..."
Speaking softly to Quinshon, Razanetika asks, "Why must you torture him like this?"
Lylia says, "He torments himself."
Within the ethereal lights Peter looks over his shoulder, to an empty bed draped with a bloodstained sheet. Peter sighs and turns back to his daughter, "Save your strength...."
Speaking to Razanetika, Kethrain says, "He can't let go of the past, it's haunting him."
Zosopage says, "It isn't Quinshon. The memories are of Pylasar's making."
Umbazi says, "Not remembering would be a worse torment for him..."
Speaking to Kethrain, Goblyn notes, "Maybe also saving him."
Speaking to Umbazi, Lylia says, "Just so. Rewriting the past makes it no longer our own."
Speaking to Goblyn, Kethrain says, "I agree with you as the past can set one free."
Leafiara whispers something to Zosopage.
Speaking carefully to Kethrain, Goblyn says, "I maybe did not mean it in this way, but... yes, this, too."
Stormyrain murmurs, "There is comfort in the sorrow. The pain reminds you of the love that once was, that it was real."
Within the ethereal lights a young, weak voice says, "....you are the best daddy....I see how you look...." She coughs, "...look at me....I'm not okay...am I?"
Razanetika softly says, "All well and good.. but I thought Quinshon was here to help guide Pylasar to the memories we need to continue our quest... not watch him be endlessly tortured over his past..."
Morofinwe quietly says, "How sad."
Within the ethereal lights a weak, young voice says, "...can you take me outside..to the fields...I want to be outside...."
Zosopage says, "The pain reminds him why he is doing this. To stop the pain."
Goblyn says, "This is the path."
Umbazi says, "Torment can lead people in strange directions."
Pietra whispers something to Leafiara.
Leafiara whispers something to Pietra.
Lylia whispers something to Umbazi.
Within the ethereal lights shift and Peter appears sitting upon a low hill, cradling the frail, weakened body of a young girl in his arms, a fresh clean blanket wrapped around her. The sun glints in the distance, still high in the sky, and together both of them, father and daughter, look out beyond to a field of deep purple hibiscus and say nothing as the warmth of the sun above bathes the area.
Speaking to Razanetika, Kethrain says, "From pain leads salvation."
Rasson says, "Also shows why he goes to such lengths to preserve the other woman he "loves" forever."
Within the ethereal lights to reveal a small coffin being slowly lowered into the ground, the wooden casket gradually descending into the darkness of the open earth. Above it stands faceless figures, some in blue robes, their features blurred even in this image. Peter stands among them. One by one, they respectfully toss a deep purple hibiscus into the open grave, each flower settling upon the casket before the first clump of dirt is dropped in.
Pylasar slowly empties his lungs.
Goldstr says, "Verra sad."
Falvicar's Past
Within the ethereal lights images begin to shift and change.
Quinshon quietly says, "There."
Quinshon turns his hands around, the ribbons seeming to grow tighter.
Within the ethereal lights to reveal a young sylvan boy with blue eyes and sleek black hair. He dances about a field, twirling with a wooden practice sword, rushing back and forth between trees clustered about the field where small targets have been painted into their bark walls.
Guarrin whispers something to Cryheart.
Within the ethereal lights a man's voice can be heard chuckling lightly then says. "Oh Falvicar. You can barely hold a sword, let alone use it well enough. You must pick a path and grow strong first. Then, and only then will you be strong enough to fight and protect your mother..."
Pylasar glances at Falvicar.
Pylasar slowly empties his lungs.
Falvicar glances at Pylasar.
Speaking to Falvicar, Goldstr asks, "Yer pappy?"
Falvicar sighs.
Falvicar nods slowly.
Falvicar quietly says, "My dad."
Falvicar nods.
Speaking gently to Falvicar, Leafiara says, "He'd be proud."
Falvicar quietly says, ".. I hope so."
Speaking to Falvicar, Kethrain asks, "So the young girl, was she... was she your sister then?"
Speaking to Kethrain, Leafiara explains, "That was Gracie, Pylasar's daughter."
Falvicar confusedly asks, "Girl?"
Within the ethereal lights shift to show an image of a sylvan man and woman, setting about packing up some belongings into baskets and crates. The sun bathes a large wagon outside of a small homestead through an open door. The sound of their son clanking a wooden sword against targets echoes from a nearby field. The man and woman smile at each other, engrossed in that sound and take a long moment to kiss before silently continuing with their work, wrapping up clothes into bedrolls and organizing trinkets into baskets and chests.
Falvicar sighs.
Umbazi says, "They look like a truly loving couple."
Speaking to Falvicar, Rasson says, "Memories we saw before you got here, was Peter's daughter."
Falvicar quietly says, "Aw."
Falvicar nods understandingly at Rasson.
Within the ethereal lights show the sylvan man and woman exiting their home, bags in hands as they stow them away in the wagon outside. A runic longbow is slung over the sylvan man's shoulder, his blue eyes squinting against the sun. He suddenly reaches for his bow, his slightly pointed ears almost perking. He puts one hand out to motion for his wife's attention, who sits resting on the back of the wagon. From the doorway of the home, two shadows appear.
Speaking to Falvicar, Goldstr says, "Dis be actually tough news fer ye and us."
Falvicar gibbers incoherently.
Falvicar closes his eyes for a moment.
Within the ethereal lights show Peter and Rachel dragging both the sylvan woman and man off into the distance, beyond the wagon, beyond the homestead, and even further beyond until the sound of the wooden sword clanging against wooden targets of a soon to be orphaned boy grow fainter, and fainter, until none at all.
Falvicar clenches his rolaren sword symbol and takes a deep breath. After a moment his eyes fill with a look of peaceful calm.
Within the ethereal lights Peter's voice says, "Why two? Isn't that too much? Are you sure...are you sure it's...it's wise? I think we should be done. Just let them go."
Falvicar sighs.
Falvicar looks downright miserable.
Within the ethereal lights Rachel's voice snaps back, "Don't quit on me now Peter. I am confident only two more will be needed. Then we can be done. But not because you are a coward suddenly, but because that is what will be needed."
Falvicar sighs.
Within the ethereal lights Peter and Rachel continue to drag the sylvan man and woman, nearing an edge of the hilltop farmland and coming up near a jutting earthen ravine.
Falvicar clenches his jaw.
Within the ethereal lights Peter warns, "Two, okay. Two more I understand. But maybe not all at once? I think it's a risk. We've...we've already done so many others..."
Chamorr heartily says, "When this is done Peter needs to get whacked."
Falvicar slowly empties his lungs.
Zosopage says, "At least Peter tried to save at least one of them. Not an excuse but he tried."
Within the ethereal lights Rachel pauses, releasing her grip on the woman's hair. Peter stops moving, releasing his grip on the other. The sylvan man and woman squirm, bands of shadow coiled about their hands and legs and mouths, but they squirm regardless.
Speaking to Chamorr, Goldstr says, "He be da last Paragon."
Falvicar frowns.
Falvicar glances at Guarrin.
Falvicar sadly says, "... I was 20."
Morofinwe quietly says, "This is hard to watch to be honest."
Within the ethereal lights Rachel looks to the sylvan man and woman...to Falvicar's parents. "Well, I suppose Peter may be right. We only need one of you." Rachel cranes her neck, listening. "...and we're far enough from your home and bratty kid...." She gestures and the bands of shadow melt from their mouths, but remain on their hands and feet.
Within the ethereal lights the sylvan man and woman slowly stumble to their feet awkwardly, but Rachel and Peter do not stop them. They do not run, their legs and hands still bound tight by shadows, but their mouths now open.
Within the ethereal lights the sylvan man says, "Take me. I am the greatest threat. I have felled many of your kind and your demons beyond the wall. I have earned this. She has not."
Falvicar sighs.
Falvicar sits down.
Zosopage says, "Brave man."
Within the ethereal lights the sylvan woman shouts, "No! Take us! My son will need his father!"
Within the ethereal lights Rachel's eyes narrow and her ears perk up. "Us?"
Morofinwe quietly says, "Oh...us...."
Morofinwe quietly says, "Hmm."
Within the ethereal lights Falvicar's father's voice echoes the witch, "Us?"
Morofinwe quietly says, "Oh no....."
Within the ethereal lights Falvicar's eyes go dim with pain and wide with horror, "...No...I did not know...."
Zosopage asks, "She was with child?"
Morofinwe quietly says, "That is my thought, Zoso."
Falvicar frowns.
Within the ethereal lights Peter tries to act, but almost stumbles, paralyzed in fear. Rachel moves forward, grabbing the sylvan woman by the hair and drags her screaming to the edge of the ravine where she tosses her from on high, the sylvan woman's body falling rapidly and breaking against the jagged rocks below.
Goldstr exclaims, "Oof!"
Speaking simply to Zosopage, Goblyn says, "This is not 'trying' when that is this result."
Falvicar glowers.
Within the ethereal lights Falvicar's father falls, his stomach bellowing in sorrow, his cry filling the night and Peter stands in shock. Rachel turns to him, "There. One it is. We definitely don't want to try two at once, or three."
Speaking to Falvicar, Umbazi says, "I pray that you will get a chance to treat Raznel as she deserves."
Within the ethereal lights flicker and fade and the last image seems to take shape in the reflection of Pylasar's crystalline-hued eyes.
Speaking quietly to Falvicar, Morofinwe says, "I am young but I will be at your side if I am able."
Zosopage says, "Rachel...."
Falvicar angrily says, "I will kill her or die trying."
Falvicar frowns.
Speaking to Falvicar, Goldstr says, "Ye wanna be alone friend."
Quinshon gestures, and a crystalline light departs from Pylasar's eyes and they return to normal. The crystalline light floats over to Quinshon's waiting hands and forms into a small crystalline fragment that seems to shift with tiny images within.
Speaking to Falvicar, Zosopage says, "Now I understand why you said what you did to me before."
Speaking to Falvicar, Leafiara says, "...many are with ya on that, for many reasons."
Pylasar slowly empties his lungs.
Quinshon tilts his crystalline fragment side to side, making the light play off it.
Falvicar closes his eyes for a moment.
Quinshon quietly says, "I have what is needed for your chronomage."
Quinshon quietly says, "I will provide for her when the time is right."
Quinshon melts into the shadows.
Cryheart says, "Stand."
Goblyn yells, "You will have a nice night, Quinshon!"
Pylasar's Regrets
Pylasar glances at Falvicar.
Pylasar says, "I'm..."
Pylasar stands up.
Pylasar says, "I'm sorry Falvicar."
Falvicar sighs.
Pukk quietly says, "I really like his vanish trick."
Falvicar nods slowly at Pylasar.
Speaking heartily to Pylasar, Chamorr says, "Not good enough."
Speaking quietly to Falvicar, Leafiara says, "I'm sure you've been bracing for months for this and yet... could never truly be prepared..." (since Pylasar had said months ago that Falvicar's father was one of the paragons)
Speaking to Chamorr, Lylia says, "It was not your father, nor your mother. You do not get to decide this for him."
Falvicar shrugs.
Speaking heartily to Lylia, Chamorr asks, "Scuse me?"
Lylia clearly says, "You do not get to decide if it is 'not good enough' to apologize. Falvicar does."
Lylia asks, "Do you need this in smaller words?"
(Falvicar sits still, as if lost in thought with his arms hugging himself. He moves his head and just stares at the lake.)
Speaking heartily to Lylia, Chamorr says, "He may be a purple bouncin fuzzball, but he is a murderer."
Gutstorm drunkenly says, "She needsh a bearhug."
Speaking to Chamorr, Pietra says, "She's right, though. The apology is not for you or us. It's for Falvicar."
Zosopage says, "Rachel murdered them. Peter was too weak to stop her."
Falvicar sighs.
Pylasar moves to stand in front of Falvicar.
Lylia quietly says, "Perhaps we could wait on such judgments after all we have seen."
Pylasar touches Falvicar's arm.
Speaking slowly to Zosopage, Goblyn says, "Peter did -help- Naimorai."
Pylasar says, "...we will end her Falvicar."
Speaking seriously to Falvicar, Leafiara offers, "Anything you need from any of us, just tell us."
Falvicar turns to face Pylasar.
Umbazi says, "The witch needs to die."
Zosopage says, "All I am saying is that Peter froze in fear and therefore too weak to stop her in that moment."
Speaking to Zosopage, Pietra says, "Have you never froze with fear? It's not so black and white as all that every time."
Speaking to Umbazi, Kethrain says, "I'm sure her day for judgement will come."
Pylasar says, "I could have stopped her."
Speaking deeply to Zosopage, Guarrin says, "Not exactly an isolated incident though."
Speaking quietly to Pylasar, Falvicar says, "We will get her.... Pylasar."
Speaking to Kethrain, Umbazi says, "Not soon enough."
Cryheart says, "Amen."
Pylasar says, "I am a monster. Jerram was right."
Speaking heartily to Pylasar, Chamorr says, "How many did ya murder."
Pylasar says, "But we'll end the other monster."
Speaking to Pylasar, Goblyn notes, "You did help to do this dragging of them away from this home."
Speaking heartily to Pylasar, Chamorr says, "You are indeed."
Lylia says, "End her, yes."
Speaking to Pylasar, Leafiara says, "...I don't think you could have. I think you tell yourself that you could have, because of your sense of guilt."
Pylasar says, "That is all I can do now."
Leafiara adds, "Regret."
Speaking to Pylasar, Goblyn asks, "You will unravel your mind when this is done with Naimorai?"
Pylasar shrugs. (unclear if this is a response to Goblyn, to Leafi, to Chamorr, or to none of them and just a continuation of his own thoughts)
Speaking to Umbazi, Kethrain says, "I agree, but things will happen when and as they need to according to Fate and what she hands out."
Speaking to Pylasar, Goblyn says, "You should not."
Speaking heartily to Lylia, Chamorr says, "And don't tell me what I should think."
Pylasar frowns at Falvicar.
Falvicar sighs.
Pylasar says, "I am sorry."
Lylia lightly says, "I cannot tell you what to think, but I am free to opine that you are an idiot."
Pylasar says, "If you cannot face him, I understand."
Pylasar says, "We will do what we must."
Pylasar says, "Raznel has taken much from both of us. I am sorry for my part in yours."
Pylasar nods at Falvicar.
Speaking quietly to Falvicar, Lylia says, "I have faith that you will find the strength you need to do what is necessary."
Speaking quietly to Pylasar, Falvicar says, "I will face him. He would want me to and he would expect nothing less if he knew I joined Redding."
Speaking to Falvicar, Leafiara says, "...he'll know very soon."
Pylasar slowly empties his lungs.
Pylasar says, "Goodnight."
Lord Pylasar just went southwest.
Bonus Material
Cryheart says, "Remorse is a good step."
Falvicar quietly says, "Let's not be sorry, and let's get the b... witch."
Falvicar nods firmly.
Goblyn yells, "You will also be having a nice night, Pylasar!"
Bernadette softly says, "Aye."
Speaking quietly to Thrassus, Pukk says, "You're getting old."
Lylia says, "Just so."
[travel begins]
Morofinwe quietly says, "Aye."
Speaking viciously to Falvicar, Leafiara agrees, "Now you're talking my language."
[travel concludes]
[Town Square, East]
Here in the center of a broad plaza near the commercial area of the bazaar stands the impressive facade of the slate-roofed Moot Hall, where the citizens of Wehnimer's Landing hold various official, religious and social functions. Facing the square are some of the town's more prosperous shops, still doing business with the many customers who still frequent the streets at night. You also see a faewood arrow fletched with light brown feathers and tipped with a steel broadhead arrowhead, a large purple wooden barrel, a bone-framed bulletin board and a polished bleakstone statue.
Speaking to Falvicar, Leafiara reiterates, "Just remember, anything at all from most anyone here. Just ask. We're here."
Speaking to Cryheart, Pietra says, "Thank you for the mount escort. You deserve a lot of apples for this one tonight."
Gutstorm drunkenly exclaims, "Giddyyap!"
Speaking helpfully to Cryheart, Goblyn suggests, "Maybe you will work on your steed sounds, for future use?"
Falvicar whispers to the group, "I was 20 back then. I'm 216 now."
Umbazi says, "I wish there was some way to heal the townsfolk sickened by the witch's blight...."
Speaking quietly to Falvicar, Morofinwe says, "I meant what I said earlier. I am young but I will aid you in whatever way I can."
Cryheart says, "Well...I did say, neigh."
Speaking quietly to Thrassus, Pukk says, "It's those eye crinkles and all those frown lines you have. The frown lines I can understand, you're a dark elf hence you are always frowning...but the crinkles is all age."
Goblyn whispers something to Falvicar.
Falvicar nods at Goblyn.
Morofinwe quietly asks, "I am saddened and yet...hopeful. Does that make sense?"
Umbazi says, "I don't know that I can do much, but I'd relish the chance to get in one punch..."
Speaking to Pukk, Thrassus says, "I haven't even seen my fourth century yet, I am nowhere near old."
Pukk yells, "Drink your warm rolton milk!"
Lylia says, "Four centuries would not make you 'old' at any rate."
Falvicar sighs.
Thrassus exclaims, "Exactly!"
Speaking quietly to Thrassus, Pukk asks, "You poor soul....you must have had a hard hard life....partied too much?"
Falvicar nods slowly at Zosopage.
Falvicar gives Leafiara a friendly hug.
Speaking to Falvicar, Lylia says, "Time heals wounds, but it does not erase them. I know seeing this unfold before you was an ordeal. I am sorry you had to."
Pukk quietly says, "It's always hard to tell with your race. Always frowning or harumphing."
Goblyn cheerfully exclaims, "Everyone will be having a nice night!"
Falvicar sighs.
Speaking to Falvicar, Kethrain says, "Her day will come."
Goblyn says, "I must be seeing to some things, I do think."
Falvicar hugs Goblyn.
Speaking to Falvicar, Leafiara says, "Most of the paragons so far, ah... they have moments of lucidity toward the end..."
Falvicar nods slowly.
Pukk quietly says, "I can just see it now. A dark elven bard. Always singing about how all the other races don't listen to them and bring them tithes."
As Falvicar draws a high steel bastard sword, the air along the blade distorts.
From nearby, you hear Goblyn yell, "Feed the trees!"
Falvicar tilts his bastard sword side to side, making the light play off it.
Falvicar grasps his pure white scabbard by the locket with his opposite hand, adjusting its position slightly. With practiced ease, he draws the blade of his bastard sword across the scabbard's opening before smoothly sheathing it with a barely audible *snick.*
Thrassus says, "I knew I was forgetting something."
Falvicar quietly asks, "What... was Quinshon doing?"
Speaking cautiously to Falvicar, Leafiara says, "...in other words, I'm saying... be ready with what you want to say to him."
Speaking to herself, Ushea asks, "Feed the trees?"
Morofinwe quietly asks, "We're feeding trees now?"
Pukk quietly asks, "I wonder what trees eat?"
Bernadette softly says, "Mnoor."
Speaking quietly to Leafiara, Falvicar says, "I half expect creatures we face to be demons truthfully.. if anything like the past foes."
Speaking offhandedly to Pukk, Leafiara says, "Goblyn's? Blood and people."
Pukk quietly asks, "Do they like their rolton steaks medium rare?"
Zosopage says, "Well, the first visions were obviously to instill sympathy in us first."
Speaking heartily to Pukk, Chamorr says, "Blood."
Speaking suddenly to Falvicar, Leafiara says, "Oh! ...yeah, I was wondering what we might face, but that makes sense."
Falvicar quietly says, "I remember his stories to me about the Demon Wall and him fighting demons all the time."
Falvicar nods.
Leafiara acknowledges, "That... that would make this one pretty rough compared to the others..."
Pukk quietly says, "That means we have to sacrifice a bunch of people for the trees."
Pukk quietly says, "We can start with the imps."
Speaking quietly to Leafiara, Morofinwe asks, "Is this the last one to deal with?"
Speaking to Morofinwe, Leafiara says, "...no. Two more after this, not even including Brumas who's on the loose."
Falvicar quietly asks, "Anybody with scotch?"
Falvicar gazes hopefully at his surroundings.
Zosopage offers Falvicar a cup of woodmaster whiskey.
Falvicar accepts Zosopage's woodmaster whiskey.
Falvicar nods appreciatively at Zosopage.
Morofinwe offers Falvicar a flask of warrior's flame rum.
Falvicar quietly says, "Not trying to get druink."
Falvicar just nudged Morofinwe.
Umbazi says, "I need to spend more time in the Guild pub, I can see that."
Falvicar declines Morofinwe's offer.
Morofinwe quietly says, "It will help you rest some."
Falvicar turns toward Zosopage and renders a sharp salute with his woodmaster whiskey.
Falvicar turns toward Morofinwe and renders a sharp salute with his woodmaster whiskey.
Falvicar sniffs at his woodmaster whiskey.
Falvicar quietly asks, "What was Quinshon doing?"
Speaking flatly to Xorus, Pukk says, "Xorus."
Xorus asks, "What?"
Falvicar takes a drink from his woodmaster whiskey.
Falvicar's eyes glaze over slightly and his face pales.
Falvicar is stunned!
Falvicar beseeches his deity for some divine assistance.
Speaking to Falvicar, Leafiara says, "He was the only one who could help explore his memories this time, since Chrysamber's compass is broken."
Speaking quietly to Falvicar, Morofinwe says, "Be well and be safe, my friend."
Falvicar quietly says, "Aww."
Falvicar nods.
Falvicar nods appreciatively at Morofinwe.
Zosopage says, "Quins...what she said."
Falvicar quietly says, "Was just curious."
Morofinwe quietly says, "I am off to wander some to clear my head. That was grim even for me."
Speaking heartily to Falvicar, Chamorr says, "What ever ya need."
Falvicar nods appreciatively at Chamorr.
Speaking softly to Leafiara, Elphieya asks, "More memories?"
Speaking quietly to Falvicar, Morofinwe says, "I will help in any way I can."
Falvicar removes a silver-edged black mithril longknife from in his leather back sheath.
Falvicar turns toward Morofinwe and renders a sharp salute with his black mithril longknife.
Leafiara whispers something to Elphieya.
Falvicar rubs a silver-edged black mithril longknife in his hand.
Xorus says, "Pylasar is gradually losing his memory again. That crystal Quinshon made is supposed to give Chrysamber something to anchor on when her compass is fixed."
Elphieya whispers something to Leafiara.
Falvicar put a silver-edged black mithril longknife in his leather back sheath.
Elphieya whispers something to Leafiara.
Xorus says, "This is putting a lot of faith in Quinshon not caring about having his own daughter killed."
Leafiara whispers something to Elphieya.
Leafiara looks thoughtfully at Xorus.
Leafiara muses, "They've always had an odd relationship, though... Quinshon left her life just because Reannah asked him to..."
Speaking to Xorus, Leafiara acknowledges, "But yeah, it's pretty tenuous, I'll agree with that."
Xorus says, "There is the question."
Speaking quietly to Xorus, Elphieya asks, "Would you like some help with your scratches?"
Xorus says, "When was he first inside Peter's head? I was able to see Naimorai quite clearly in those memories."
Falvicar sighs.
Falvicar quietly says, "I'm going to go pray."
Falvicar removes a silver-edged black mithril longknife from in his leather back sheath.
Mayor Lylia just arrived.
Speaking huskily to Leafiara, Jhenni asks, "Did the statue just move?"
Speaking amusedly to Jhenni, Leafiara asks, "You -and- Pukk, huh?"
Falvicar just went north.
