The snowy cockatrice has the ability to look at you during combat, which causes you to spin away from the melee and suffer a six second RT.
A snowy cockatrice turns its gaze in your direction and you begin to feel strange. Quickly you spin away from the melee!
Like its cousins the cockatrice and the plumed cockatrice, the snowy cockatrice has a staring attack which may immobilize, calm, or depress an opponent. Remaining in offensive stance may mitigate the effects of the attack.
You struggle to resist the cockatrice's mental attack, but to no avail! Your resistance is replaced with submission as your arms drop to your sides and you kneel before the snowy cockatrice! Roundtime: 10 sec. CKR>
Feelings of insecurity flood your mind, and you feel yourself slowing down in a depressed state. Roundtime: 5 sec. You no longer feel the dulling effect of depression.
A snowy cockatrice focuses its eyes on you! A wash of dread and hopelessness floods your senses as you realize that you have no chance to survive against such an awesome foe! The overwhelming despair and knowledge of your imminent death are too much to handle, and you find yourself mentally retreating from reality. Everything surrounding you fades to black.
The last attack is particularly nasty as you fall flat on your face in full offensive--and you are then stuck in extended round time (generally 10 seconds) before you can change stances or can stand up once more.
