The dreadnought raptor is a large, distinctly marked bird, with a wingspan twice the height of a giantman. Glossy black feathers and white markings on its broad wings and rounded tail give the raptor an ominous appearance, and feathers cover its legs to its feet. A dark ruff borders the dreadnought raptor's bald red head and neck. Its hooked bill and powerful talons are well suited for hunting.
Hunting strategies
A melee fighter won't be able to hit them until after they swoop to attack. However, once they have attacked, they're within range of a melee weapon. Try to stun them or to sever a limb; either will make them tumble to the ground.
Other information
The dreadnought raptor spear attack messaging uses the impale natural weapon table while the impale attack messaging uses the bite natural weapon table.
A dreadnought raptor tries to spear a mastodonic leopard with its beak! AS: +256 vs DS: +197 with AvD: +31 + d100 roll: +52 = +142 ... and hits for 16 points of damage!
