Shop inventories
As the main editor of this page is not attending the first run, please do not expect a shop inventory list immediately. A shop inventory list is, however, planned.
List of merchants
Please find the list of merchants at the CCF merchants page.
List of Services
The majority of the activity and all special services will be released between the event's opening and Sunday evening of each event run. A raffle and auction schedule will be posted on the Forums and the FESTIVAL verb just prior to the start of each run.
Services will be offered via a variety of methods, though many of the highly limited services will be given out via raffle and/or auction. A single individual may only win one major win during each event run.
Once the event begins, the first non-"general" service will be discounted by up to one million silvers.
If a character has not received any special services (ie. non-general services) by Sunday evening, when the merchant-heavy portion of the event comes to a close, they will be able to choose one of the following services. The cost of these services will be an extra 50% above the base silver cost.
- Armor ASG changes
- Padding removal
- Enchanting armor
- Enchanting weapons
- Snake flares
- Enhancive conversions
- Pocket adding to items that do not have existing pockets
- Extraordinary lightening or deepening
- Changing existing sheaths into blessing sheaths
- Stripping scripts from items
- Morphing tattoos
- EZScripts
- Padding
- Armor flares
- Weighting
- Weapon flares
- Adding shield pockets
- Enhancive rechargers
- Adding enhancives to existing items via dahcres
TD booster added to shield/armor
Only 1-2 TD boosters will be given out during each run of this event. This service is considered a major one. Only one major service can be won by each individual during each event run.
This will add a +10 TD to armor or shield. No non-fluff scripted items. Armor or shields with existing TD bonuses will either have their bonus increased by +5 OR have their bonus increased to 10, whichever is greater.
Keep in mind that TD takes up the same slot as flares and padding. If your armor or shield has either flares or padding, then it cannot have a TD bonus added to it. Spikes and resistance do not prevent TD bonuses from being added.
Sanctifying Weapons
This is a masterfully limited service. Only 3-5 slots will be given out for each run.
Neither weapons with scripting that is not purely fluff nor coraesine, black ora, urglaes, or urnon weapons may receive this service.
The sanctifying service can be used for both weapons and shields, but may not be used on armor or armor accessories.
Sancted items CAN have weighting or flares.
Permablessing Weapons
This is a masterfully limited service. Only 3-5 slots will be given out for each run.
The permablessing service can be used for both weapons and shields, but may not be used on armor or armor accessories.
Claidhmores are not eligible for the permablessing service.
GM Sirina posted that making a 4x falchion permablessed would cost roughly one million silvers.
Mana Vial flares
This is a masterfully limited service. Prior to the event, GM Leonric announced that there would be five slots for this service; 3 raffles and 2 auctions. Raffle tickets will be 25,000 coins a piece. The auction will start off with a minimum bid of 500,000. There will be no additional cost for this service beyond the raffle ticket or auction bid price.
This service is for adding Mana Vial flares to a weapon. It will cause a weapon to have a chance at producing mana vials when the weapon flares. Some training in Magic Item Use and Mana Controls will be highly recommended if you wish to take full advantage of these flares. These can only go on weapons that do not already have existing special properties, such as scripts or weighting.
In the past, there have been three types of mana vial-flaring weapons. Mana vial flares, health vial flares, and spirit vial flares. The spirit weapons flare against undead creatures only.
Every 20 minutes during a hunt from a creature the wielder can learn from, the weapon has a chance to flare, producing a vial. The flare will not produce a vial on a kill shot. A minimum MIU is needed to even attempt to get a flare. The more MIU the wilder has, the fuller the vial flares will be. Drinking the vial will regain mana, health, or spirit depending on what kind of flare the weapon has.
The vials do spoil after a period of time.
An example of a mana vial weapon flaring:
You swing an eahnor greatsword at a black forest ogre!
AS: +XXX vs DS: +209 with AvD: +38 + d100 roll: +5 = +XXX
... and hit for 54 points of damage!
Right elbow smashed into a thousand pieces.
Your eahnor greatsword twists in your hands, the pommel's base splits open and spits an incandescent crystalline vial out and onto the ground where it lands with a crystalline *TINKLE*.
A black forest ogre writhes in agony as some mana is stripped from it!
Roundtime: 5 sec.
Enchanting bows
This is a masterfully limited service. GM Sirina announced prior to the event that 5 slots for bow enchanting will be given out for each run.
Enchanting cannot be done multiple times on the same weapon during this event. Max resulting enchant is +30. Bows with combat scripts are not eligible, but fluff scripts are fine. Wand bows may be enchanted. A bow with sighting up to (and including) heavy is eligible. (A bow with more sighting would be eligible for the extraordinary weapon enchanting service. There is no bow-specific extraordinary enchanting service being run by GM Sirina).
These services will be awarded partially by auction, partially by raffle.
2 slots will be auctioned off Friday night at 10 p.m.
3 slots will be raffled off Saturday afternoon at 3 p.m. Price of a ticket is 20,000 silvers.
Permanent bow sighting
This is a masterfully limited service. GM Sirina announced prior to the event that 5 slots for permanent bow sighting will be given out for each run.
There is no enchanting limit on eligible wands. Bows with combat scripts, including wand bows, will not be eligible for sighting.
Standard bow sighting will be up to +7, the low side of "decent" on the weighting scale. If you have temporary sighting, it can be made permanent up to +7. This may be used on bows that already have sighting bonuses, though they may not go over a final sighting of a +7 bonus. Sighting cannot be stacked with previous sighting.
Two decent sighting slots will be auctioned off at 10 p.m. on Friday. Three decent sighting spots will be raffled at 4 p.m. on Saturday.
One extraordinary sighting up to +12, the low side of "very heavy," will be released per run. This exceptionally limited service is considered a major win. Only one major service can be won by each individual during each event run. The extraordinary service will be auctioned off at 10 p.m. on Friday.
Armor ASG Changes
This is a somewhat limited service. 6-10 slots will be given out for each run.
Armor ASG changes will be within the same armor group. Padding does not exempt armor from this service, but it does increase the cost.
GM Sirina posted that if a set of armor has been lightened, the weight of the item will be adjusted as a ratio of the new base weight. So if the item is currently 3/4 of the base weight for its current ASG, it will become 3/4 of the base weight of its new ASG.
Padding removal
This is a somewhat limited service. 6-10 slots will be given out for each run.
The item must not have a combat-affecting script on it that expects/creates/modifies padding.
Enchanting Weapons
- Basic enchanting service
For each run, GM Varulv posted that he would have 10 spots to enchant "regular" weapons. Not kroderine, coraesine, adamantine, zelnorn, etc; no combat-affecting scripts; nothing over heavy weighting. Flares and enhancive weapons are OK, but come with a surcharge. The max resulting enchant is +40 and no weapon will be enchanted more than once throughout the event. Weapons with weighting greater than the mid-range of "heavily weighted" cannot be enchanted. Bows will not be considered by this particular enchanter. This is a somewhat limited service.
As an example of the pricing, consider a handaxe with fire flares:
4x -> 5x: 100,000.
5x -> 6x: 500,000.
6x -> 7x: 1,000,000.
7x -> 8x: 2,000,000.
A non-flaring flamberge:
4x -> 5x: 50,000.
5x -> 6x: 500,000.
6x -> 7x: 800,000.
7x -> 8x: 1,800,000.
- Extraordinary enchanting service
On each run, two "exceptional" weapons will be enchanted, with the maximum resulting enchant at +50. One will be raffled; the other auctioned. This service, a +5 enchantment on an exceptional weapon, is considered a major win. Only one major service can be won by each individual during each event run. For the exceptional service, the winner will not pay a fee beyond that of the raffle or auction cost.
Weapons that fall under the high-end enchanting service:
- claidhmores or other exceptionally weighted weapons
- may be used to boost the defense bonus of a defender weapon, but not any other DB item
- A TD-boosting weapon
- kroderine, zelnorn, or adamantine weapons
- highly padded weapons
- Iasha white ora
- Tsanah black ora (greater and lesser)
- Ironwright's blessing-flared weapons
- rotating/switch-flared
- self-mana weapons
- returning weapons
- snake-flared weapons
- mechanical-flared weapons
- poison-flared weapons
- polearm-flared weapons
- knockout-flared weapons
- Bows
Naginatas are treated as having an extra +20 for the purposes of enchanting. So, a naginata with a +10 enchant would be enchanted as if it were going from +30 to +35, and would fall within the normal weapon enchanting slots. A vultite naginata would be treated as going from +40 to +45 and would require an exceptional slot.
Bandoliers, Variable Weighting vs. Living/Flares vs. Undead swords, "Flaming" weapons, and shadowdeath weapons are NOT eligible for this service. With the exception of bandoliers, they are all hardcoded and can't have their enchant changed.
Enchanting Armor
- Basic enchanting service
Armor enchantments will be a somewhat limited service. 6-10 slots will be given out for each run. The max resulting enchant is +40 and no set of armor will be enchanted more than once throughout the event. Armor with padding greater than the mid-range of "heavily weighted" cannot be enchanted.
GM Sirina posted that armor with permanent resistances or enhancives will be able for the basic armor enchanting service, but that a surcharge would be added. She also stated that shields could be enchanted via this service as well.
- Extraordinary enchanting service
Extraordinary armor enchantments are considered a major win. Only one major win per person per run. This can be applied to highly padded items. The max resulting enchant is +50.
GM Sirina posted that the high-end armor enchanting service would cover DB items.
Snake flares
This is a somewhat limited service. 10 slots will be given out for each run.
GM Naionna will be raffling 10 spots for snake flares. She posted that they would not work on bows.
Snakes can be added to a weapon of the winner's choice, excluding weapons that already have scripts, weighting or flares. There is a choice of 4 poisons - slow, standard poison, rooted, or random (price for service is based upon choice of poison and enchant of weapon - ticket price applies towards service)
The raffles will be held Friday at 9 p.m. and Saturday at 2 p.m. Tickets cost 20,000 silvers. There will be an additional price for the service dependent on the winner's chosen weapon.
Padding
- Basic padding service
Non-exceptional padding is a limited service. 15-20 slots will be given out for each run.
This service will apply decent crit-padding, and if this is applied to padding that already exists, it will not go over decent padding. No armor over +40 may be used. No non-fluff scripted items. Armor that has non-fluff scripts will be automatically disallowed from padding.
GM Sirina posted that adding non-exceptional padding to a set of 6x double leathers would cost roughly one million silvers.
- Extraordinary padding service
The services for very heavily padded damage padding and very heavily padded critical padding are considered to be major wins. Only one major service can be won by each individual during each event run. These are exceptionally limited services. Only 1-2 slots for each will be given out for each run. A significant silver cost is attached to these services. The limit of +40 still applies to exceptional wins. Armor with non-fluff scripts will need to be reviewed to see if they are eligible for the service. Armor with existing padding may be used, but the total padding will not exceed very heavily padded for either type of padding.
Ring armor cannot be padded. Shell armor and self-mana armor can be.
Armor flares
This is a limited service. 15-20 slots will be given out for each run.
Common flares (cold, heat, electric, impact) will be available, as well as a couple of the more rare flares that the merchants will announce at the time of the services.
Armor accessories and shields are eligible to have flares added by the merchant adding armor flares.
Gostika will be adding flares to armor and shields in the Klinast Gather. Available flares will be cold, heat, impact, electrical, disintegrate, and vacuum. Cost is dependent on the flare chosen and the current enchant of your item. Armor accessories will be treated as +20 enchant for the purposes of pricing.
Weighting
This is a limited service. 15-20 slots will be given out for each run.
The basic weapon weighting service will be to add weighting that would assess as "decently" weighted by a warrior. A weapon that currently has less weighting than that could qualify for the basic service, but their weapon will only be brought up to that level limit. No weapon over 7x or with combat scripts can be weighted with this service. Naginatas are treated as having an additional +20 to enchantment in terms of enchant limits, so the only naginatas eligible would be 3x and below.
GM Sirina posted that adding weighting to a 6x longsword would cost roughly one million silvers.
Exceptional weapon weighting is a major win. Only one major service can be won per person per run. This is a masterfully limited service. Only 3-5 slots will be given out for each run.
The extraordinary weighting service is to add an amount of weighting that a warrior would assess as "fair" to any already weighted weapon. For example, a weapon that is already heavily crit weighted would assess as "very heavily" weighted after this service. No weapon over 7x can be weighted with this service. Naginatas are treated as having an additional +20 to enchantment in terms of enchant limits, so the only naginatas eligible would be 3x and below. Combat scripts will be reviewed on a case-by-case basis, but may disqualify a weapon. Claidhmores are eligible for this service.
Weapon flares
This is a limited service. 15-20 slots will be given out for each run.
Common flares (cold, heat, electric, impact) will be available, as well as a couple of the more rare flares that the merchants will announce at the time of the services.
Adding shield pockets
This is a limited service. 20 slots will be given out for each run.
GM Kolrelys announced on the message boards prior to the event that she would be adding pockets to shields.
The merchant running this service is called Muzer. He could be found in the Giantman pavilion.
This script will put a harness on the back side of a shield. They are the same scripts GM Khaladon released at the Spitfire.
- Muzer unbuckles the oiled leather harness of his shield. Carefully, he slides his longsword into the webbing, and then cinches it tightly.
- Muzer glances at the longsword securely laced into the harness of his a dark green golvern shield. Unsatisfied, Muzer lays the a dark green golvern shield on the ground and tugs at the straps tightening it, then reclaims the shield.
- Muzer drops to the ground and pulls his golvern shield on top of his head and lies very still.
Flare removal
This is a general service.
May not remove any flares that inherent to an item's properties (like drakar weapons).
GM Varulv posted that this event would take place Friday afternoon.
Spikes
This is a general service. Gostika and Keggie are the merchants to look for.
Spikes are offensive only. They can be put on armor, shields, or armor accessories. If you do not have a Combat Maneuver that uses armor, armor accessories, or shields, you do not need spikes.
Spikes can go on items with flares, padding, and most scripts.
Demonology runes (shien'tyr specialty)
This is a masterfully limited service. Only 3-5 slots will be given out for each run.
Spell Knowledge Enhancive
This service is a major win. Only one major service can be won per person per run. This is a masterfully limited service. Only 3-5 slots will be given out for each run.
One service will apply knowledge of the spell Divine Shield (1609) to any shield; one service will apply knowledge of the spell Phoen's Strength (606) to any weapon; one service will apply knowledge of the spell Bravery (211) to any armor. This cannot go on items that are already enhancive, and the charges on this will be limited.
The spell can subsequently be imbedded with Magic Item Create (420), but this drains the enhancive item's charge much more quickly than normal use.
These items are very expensive (existing items have been quoted at ~100,000 bounty points each recharge; it may take several recharges to fill the item) to have recharged by the Adventurer's Guild.
Enhancive conversions
This is a somewhat limited service. 6-10 slots will be given out for each run. Mychus is the merchant to watch for.
GM Varulv announced prior to the event that he would be doing enhancive conversions. He will take an enhancive item and change the enhancive to a different skill in the same skill set. For example, he would change a OHE-enhancing item to a Polearm-enhancing item.
Weapon skills can be changed into other weapon skills.
Lores can be changed to other lores.
Mana controls can be changed to other mana controls.
Those are the ONLY enhancives being changed. No lockpicking skill, no MIU, no anything but the three categories mentioned.
The cost varies with the effectiveness of the bonus. The maximum for each item is +15 to any skill, which costs 3 million silvers. +12 on an item would cost 1,950,000 million.
Enhancive rechargers
This is a limited service. 20 slots will be given out for each run.
This service will be given out by Fanahn. This service can be expensive, depending on the item being recharged.
Adding enhancives to existing items via dahcres
This is a just-a-little-less limited service. 30 slots will be given out. This service will cost 100,000 silvers.
GM Liia's merchant character Fanahn, who premiered at the 2008 Wonders of Elanthia event, returns to dole out more enhancive dahcre to enhance items you already own! The enhancive dahcres can be applied to combat gear, fluffery, or trinkets, provided the item is not already scripted and is not already an enhancive.
When the dachre has only one charge left, it will give a message to its user. The user can then decide to recharge it via the Adventurer's Guild, or let the dachre crumble. The item the dachre is on will not be affected.

This will likely be a service that will go through QC and take some time to be implemented.
Sonic alterations
This is a masterfully limited service. Only 3-5 slots will be given out for each run.

Custom swear
This is a masterfully limited service. Only 3 slots will be given out for each run.
This will likely be a service that will go through QC and take some time to be implemented. Winners will need to coordinate with GM Naionna via email.
Three custom swears will be given out via raffle. The raffle will be held Sunday evening at 10 p.m. and tickets will cost 10,000 silvers each.
The service will cost 100,000 silvers total. The price of the raffle ticket counts toward the final total.
Information from GM Ozias when Custom swears were released on the Wavedancer:
3) In order to create 1st and 3rd person messages, as well as targetted messages, I'll need a first-person, 3rd person, and present participle of the same verb, and then what I call the "substance of the oath." So: "spit" "spits" "spitting" and "like a dwarf at a halfling pepper tasting" allows for:
You spit like a dwarf at a halfling pepper tasting.
Ozias spits like....
You swear at a grey orc, spitting like....
You can also have verbal swears. This one's from Juspera, cleaned up for the kids: "bellow," "bellows," "bellowing," and ""Charl's Beard!"" results in:
You bellow, "Charl's Beard!"
Juspera bellows, "Charl's Beard!"
Swearing at a one-eared rabbit, Juspera bellows, "Charl's Beard!"
Signature verbs
This is a masterfully limited service. Only 3-5 slots will be given out for each run.

It can either be targeted or untargeted, but it cannot be both.

Adding Yfane/Nalea gown script to existing gowns
This is a masterfully limited service. Only 5 slots will be given out for each run.
GM Galene posted that Yfane's apprentice Ianthra would be in the Elf Pavilion. She said she would choose 5 people by spinner to have Yfane/Nalea gown scripts put on an already existing gown of the winner's choice. Stipulations for what will and won't work apply, so winners are asked to be flexible. If you do not have an already existing gown worthy of the scripts, Ianthra can alter the appearance of a gown for you. The cost for the service will be 150k. Ianthra could also alter the appearance of Yfane/Nalea gowns that people already own. The design must be to her liking, or she will not work on it.

Pocket adding to items that do not have existing pockets
This is a somewhat limited service. 6-10 slots will be given out for each run.
This service will be run by Dawe.
Exceptional lightening & deepening
This is a somewhat limited service. 6-10 slots will be given out for each run.
This refers to offering a double lightening or a double deepening, but still staying within limits of what is allowed overall. A single item may not be lightened/deepened more than once per run.
Changing existing sheaths into blessing sheaths
This is a somewhat limited service. 6-10 slots will be given out for each run.
The blessing sheaths can be used up to three times per day. Each use will bestow fifty swings upon the weapon placed inside.
Since the bless ability of this service is a script, any scripted sheath will be ineligible. This would include the weight-reduction quality of a sheath made in the Warrior Guild. Also, adding this function to a sheath will reduce it to a one-item capacity. The noun does not have to be "sheath" to qualify.
The merchant giving out this service is called Corinthar.
Stripping scripts from items (fluff scripts only)
This is a somewhat limited service. 6-10 slots will be given out for each run.
This is only for *purely fluff* scripts.
Morphing tattoos
This is a somewhat limited service. 6-10 slots will be given out for each run.
Adding fluff scripts to a variety of items
This is a somewhat limited service. 6-10 slots will be given out for each run. Distribution will be non-raffle, non-auction. So, spinner, list, room order, random game, or whatever GM Xynwyn feels like doing.
This is an EZscript service. You get to choose the script for an item.
The cost for this service will be about 200,000 silvers.
Items cannot already have a script on them, unless it is an EZscripted item already. EZscripted items can have another verb trap added as it doesn't have 10 already. Winners will get to choose ONE verb to add to their item.
Allowable Verbs: clean, close, hug, kiss, open, pinch, poke, pull, push, raise, rub, tap, tickle, tilt, toss, turn, wave, flip, remove, wear, lace
Of those verbs, only the following work when the item is on the ground: CLOSE, POKE, OPEN, PINCH, TAP, TICKLE [for wearable items, these verbs also work if you are holding it in your hand. For other verbs, you have to be wearing it] - design messages appropriately
Close/Open - can ONLY go on containers.
Wear/Remove/lace - can ONLY go on items that are wearable.
It is best to come prepared. You should have a 1st person message (what YOU see), a 3rd person message (what OTHERS see), and if applicable, what others see if you do it while hidden. Same restrictions that go to ezscripting for premium apply here.
The merchant to look for is Lyxa.
The items will require QC. If someone is available, they might be able to get done on the spot. However, if everyone's busy, it will require GM Xynwyn to get it QC'd before it goes out. GM Xynwyn will coordinate with winners in such a case.
Unlocking services for some scripted items
This is a general service.
- Two Weapon Combat scripts
GM Zyllah will be giving out the TWC scripts from the EG shop 1,000 cuts. There are nine scripts total on a fully unlocked weapon. This service is not a general service; it will disqualify you from the Last Chance service. 15 weapons will be flared.
Eligible weapons must be able to be used in Two Weapon combat. Eligible weapons must either be unscripted, or be from the Ebon Gate shop and already have the TWC scripts.
Anyone is eligible for this scripting service (but may not be eligible to use the scripts, if they do not have TWC training). The service will cost 25,000. The merchant to look for is Razalka.

- AllMine script
GM Zyllah posted that she may be adding the AllMine script to eligible items.
Mortimmer is the merchant to look for. He hangs out in Jof's Tavern.
This is the "tip cup" script that makes it so an item that set on the ground cannot be picked up by another player. It does not make the item janitor proof and it only prevents theft of the item for up to 8 hours. This script cannot go on just anything; it must be an item that is by design intended to be set on the ground for use, such as picnic blankets, portable altars, etc. Each item is evaluated on a case-by-case basis. No service slot limits, but only one item per character picked will be eligible and a character may not be picked more than once.
- Glowing orb-capped runestaff scripts
GM Zyllah posted that she may be adding glowing magic orbs to runestaves. This is a fluff script with 6 verbs. This is the script seen on runestaves sold in the Magic Shoppe Annex on the Wavedancer. An eligible runestaff must be free of scripts and cannot have a show description. The service of adding the script requires doing a long alteration that includes the orb in the description. No service slot limits, but only one item per character picked will be eligible and a character may not be picked more than once.
Mortimmer is the merchant to look for. He hangs out in Jof's Tavern.

GM Jharra wrote her Truthie glimaerstones into the gem documentation to ensure that they will never, ever be sold again. When Truthie (the original merchant)
If they are the same glimaerstones, they are the light-changing ones. In the dark, they dim. In the light (or when Light (205) is cast on them), they brighten. The messaging is visible only to the wearer, so the room isn't scrolled with fluffy text. The difference in light is visible in the description of the item--for example, a dimly glowing glimaerstone ring will brighten to a brightly glowing glimaerstone ring.
Armor Concealers
GM Liia announced that she would be adding hoods to armor concealers. ONLY concealers with full coverage (arms, torso, legs) are eligible. You may bring or buy these in the shop.
Feature-concealing items
GM Izzea posted a teaser about adding a working hood to existing cloaks.
You see GameMaster Izzea the Heartbreaker.
She appears to be a Faendryl Halfling.
It is difficult to properly see her features as the hood of her cloak is pulled down over her face.
Her halfling merchant, Zanthie, will be adding this feature-hiding script to existing cloaks as a special service. This is limited to twenty winners. The cost will be 250,000 silvers.
The script can be added to any cloak type item that would logically have a hood that could conceal a face, providing the cloak does not have a script attached to it already. So, no capes etc!
