Skinning them is safe, but looting them is not. You may find a crystallized blue berry which is a gem that is immediately placed in your hand, but looting them risks a chance of a rank 1 wound on an open hand. If you aren't running Troll's Blood it is strongly advised to either bring a lot of [[Ambrominas Leaf]], or failing that, to accept that you'll be hunting with a broken hand.

Though this plant with its droopy leafs and sickly flowers is a bit on the far gone side, it might still benefit from being re-potted. Preferably six feet under!

Hunting strategies

You rack up minor wounds like clockwork in the bramble, bring lots of herbs. Or better yet, an empath with Troll's Blood: Creepers have maneuver attacks that give you head, neck, and leg wounds, and searching them causes wounds on your hands.

They have plenty of health and can't be critted, so it tends to take lots of attacks to take them down. Which is quite problematic, as the bramble has a tendency to swarm.

Other information

Dark frosty plants cannot be critted at all, attacks just do damage.

Skinning them is safe, but looting them is not. You may find a crystallized blue berry which is a gem that is immediately placed in your hand, but looting them risks a chance of a rank 1 wound on an open hand. If you aren't running Troll's Blood it is strongly advised to either bring a lot of Ambrominas Leaf, or failing that, to accept that you'll be hunting with a broken hand.

Whether you find a gem or not is likely dependent on your Perception ranks.

Whether you get injuried or not likely involves Survival ranks.

Dark frosty plants drop a glowing blue seed pod, which explode for a mass ice attack.

Several seed pods burst from the frosty plant. One drops quivering to the ground and the rest bounce out of the area.

A glowing blue seed pod crackles and shudders as it swells up to almost bursting before shrinking back to its original size.

A glowing blue seed pod swells up with a loud drumming sound and finally bursts spewing forth a cloud of icy mist.
A cloud of icy mist moves outward from a glowing blue seed pod.
A dark frosty plant is buffeted by the waves of icy mist.
The frosty plant scoffs at the cold!
A blackened decaying tumbleweed is buffeted by the waves of icy mist.

You are buffeted by the waves of icy mist, but remain standing.
