This large, stocky owl seems designed for predation. Its sharp talons are only partially concealed by its feathered legs, and the hawk-owl's beak is comparatively small, but razor sharp. Coal black eyes are set deep in the great bird's mottled facial disks.
Hunting strategies
- Giant hawk-owls are very susceptible to being critted, and as per, are easily stunned.
- If the hawk-owl is still stunned and flying when it is time for it to attack it will fall to the ground.
Other information
When hunting giant hawk-owls, and wanting the best quality ears from skinning them, it is best to avoid the head and eyes for attacks; the neck is a very preferable aiming choice.
The giant hawk-owl spear attack messaging uses the impale natural weapon table while the impale attack messaging uses the bite natural weapon table.
