This log is of the Vornavis Baronial court session on Imaerasta 24, 5123, (September 24, 2023), taken from the perspective of Phanna. It has been edited to focus on NPCs, spoken dialog, and for clarity. It focused primarily on general goings-on in Vornavis/Solhaven but did reference some plot points and NPCs with the Nations on the Brink storyline.

Recap

Lady Athalia Malwind, daughter of Baron Dunrith Malwind, held public court in Vornavis with the Lord Chamberlain announcing. Also present were Steward Jarnsaixa Vargrdoittr the Bodyguard to the Sunthrone of the Turamzzyrian Empire and Vornavis Court Magister Odelgarde Brindlestraffe of the Hall of Mages. Visiting dignitaries in attendance recognized included Councilmen Sorlu of Icemule Trace, Councilwoman Aliashyrah of Icemule Trace, Commodore Jaysehn Ransai of the Sentinel Fleet, Lord Teveriel Anduin of Ta'Vaalor, and Lady Uniana Anduin of Ta'Vaalor.

Chamberlain asked for Lady Regwen Maritin and Lady Delindra Shi'al to step forward, stating that their names had been put forward as potential Heralds to the Vornavian Court. He asked if they accepted this role, and both did. He had them affirm a pledge in this new role, then bestowed the new title and a surcoat of station to each.

Odelgarde provided a brief report of what happened on the plague island, the events surrounding Niatha's capture, and her current status en route to Ta'Illistim via ship by way of Ta'Vaalor's port.

Odelgarde shared that the Hall of Mages was aware of its very poor reception north of the Empire due to "magical misuse" in the Frontier and wanted to take steps toward improving its relations with the north. She asked Prentice Mavwyr Phanna Green and Magister Raelee Svala if they would provide formal Hall instruction to Arcanist Akenna Laeraun-Ranshai, who, if she accepted would be honored for her own mastery and started at the rank of Prentice Mavwyr. Akenna accepted this offer. Phanna agreed to provide training, and Raelee agreed to provide it pending the particulars of what that entailed.

Athalia spoke at length about the heroic effort by healers, alchemists, and reagent gatherers who helped to make and share the cure to the Green Death. She introduced the Grenhal Thaumaturge Award, so named in honor of the late healer who was also Niatha's first victim prior to the release of the Green Death. Chamberlain named multiple individuals one at a time who were honored with this award, and while not a complete list of all those who helped, some few names had traversed great distances, carrying with them the echoes of their deeds all the way to Vornavis. Jarnsaixa and Odelgarde giving a commemorative feather to each who was in attendance. Athalia shared that those not in attendance would receive their awards and a written copy of her speech in the mail. The names of those honored were: Lady Nyaria Ta'Mori, Necrotic Admiral Loralaii, Lord Earthdiver, The Fabulous Fyg Ment, Lord Whirlin N'Haren, Lady Opalina Gemiena, Lady Rohese Bayvel-Timbertree, Lady Jiarine D'Nerval, Lady Helnora, Lylia Ravenbane, Lord Nalbon Niima'son, Hospitaller Yukito Lennan, and Bathcwyn Missoni Sabretache Faendryl. Also recognized but not present were Mayor Talliver Dabbings for supplies offered in several major cities and Artisan Beabuille of the Tehir for sending salt and cure-holding jewelry items to Solhaven.

Athalia shared that there were two long overdue recognitions owed for knights who continued to serve in a role above and beyond the honors previously bestowed upon them. She named Sir Bristenn Mires the Knight-Regent of the Order of the Azure Sun and gave him a hammered bronze and eonake torc capped in radiant sunstones in honor of this role. She also named Sir Guarrin Hjeldin the Knight-Regent of the Order of the Silver Gryphons and gave him a hammered bronze torc flanked by stylized gryphon wings in honor of this role.

Lady Meliyara was asked to come forward. At the last Vornavis court session, she had been offered the role of Solace-a'field in the Order of the Swan. Athalia asked if she accepted this offer. Meliyara agreed, making history as the first Dhe'nar recognized as a member of a Chivalric Order in the Turamzzyrian Empire.

Chamberlain recognized two healers who had dedicated significant care and compassion to Solhaven's and Vornavis' citizens, Maylan and Meril. He extended his gratitude to them and invited both to join the Order of the Swan as Hospitallers. Maylan accepted. Meril was not present to respond to the offer.

Athalia shared that she had a first charge for new Heralds Regwen and Delindra for the very next evening. She charged both of them to represent both the Vornavis Court but also the Empire at a "clandestine meeting beyond the southron seas". She asked Jarnsaixa to accompany them, and she also asked Jaysehn to transport them for this meeting. All agreed.

The floor was then opened for public petitions.

Sir Cryheart Thaxin gave Athalia a gift of a ceremonial knighting sword, which he had forged himself, so that she would have a lighter weight sword in the future for the next time she knighted someone deserving. (When Athalia had knighted Dame Dirra at the last Vornavis court session, she had used Jarnsaixa's sword, which was too heavy for her to lift without the aid of magic.) Cryheart added that Squire Perigourd had helped to finish some details on the gift and that Sir Guarrin had donated the case it came in.

Jaysehn brought up that Solhaven was still without a Harbormaster since Wilhard had been removed from that role several months earlier. He suggested Kilvath for that role, a half-krolvin who runs the private docks at the North Haven Quay.

Sir Bristenn directly affirmed that the Dusk Coven was behind the discord sown in Vornavis as well as the world beyond the Empire. He stated that he intended to call together a nonpolitical alliance of the many groups, and organizations, brotherhoods and gatherings in an effort to coordinate a response to the Dusk Coven's threat. Athalia cautioned him to be careful in using the word 'Alliance' due to its association with the Dark Alliance of two decades prior.

Fyg, who had been honored by the Grehnal Thaumaturge Award but arrived late to receive hers, affirmed that Loralaii helped alongside her with the cure to the Green Death. Athalia confirmed that Loralaii had also been honored and she was given her award now that she was present.

Court adjurned with no further petitions.

Log

Dressed in an emerald green livery emblazoned with a white swan, a herald arrives and issues three short blasts on his trumpet. Lowering it from his lips, the young herald loudly proclaims, “Tonight’s session of the Vornavian Court will begin at the 8th hour. Those that wish to attend tonight’s session should make their way to the keep in Vornavis via the Liabo Esplanade Gates, which have been left open for tonight.” With a quick bow, he rushes off, repeating his message further away.

Athalia quietly says, "We have asked Magister Odelgarde to provide a brief report of the last several days' activities."

Delindra smiles at Regwen.

Odelgarde steps forward and offers a polite bow.

Odelgarde clears her throat.

Odelgarde slowly says, "As many of you know, Captain Kimrella ventured into the western seas to try to ascertain if the rumor of Niatha's whereabouts had any truth to them. She was in the open seas for several days before she came across a small island where carrion birds and insects were feasting upon the dead. She returned to port, sending information to myself and the Steward."

Odelgarde nods at Jarnsaixa.

Jarnsaixa smiles grimly and nods.

Odelgarde carefully says, "With the aid of Lady Jiarine of Ta'Illistim, Lady Phanna Green, and Magister Svala, we were able to open a portal to the remote location where we found a healthy dose of devastation."

Jiarine mouths, "Oops."

Odelgarde frowns.

Odelgarde slowly says, "I will not go over the full details of what we found there."

Speaking to Odelgarde, Jiarine asks, "Bodies. Remember?"

Odelgarde glances at Jiarine.

Odelgarde slowly says, "As I have already given that full report; however, I will say that it was brutal, uninviting, and devastating. There was death there on a scale that I could not imagine."

Odelgarde slowly empties her lungs.

Odelgarde licks her lips and holds her head up high.

Odelgarde carefully says, "However, we did find a survivor who was able to confirm that indeed Niatha was the culprit behind their suffering and the arbitrator of death for those others on the island. We were able to provide the cure to the suffering of the survivor, who is resting comfortably within the Freeport."

Odelgarde slowly says, "We were able to capture Niatha at that time, and she was stored briefly in Sunholm before being placed in the brig on Captain Kimrella's ship. She is now bound for Ta'Illistim to await trial there."

Odelgarde takes a few steps back.

Odelgarde hesitates.

Jiarine adds, "More less of a capture than laughing at your attempt while going along without bloodshed."

Odelgarde slowly says, "There is one other matter that I have been asked to address, if I may beg the courts patience for the moment."

Odelgarde says, "Mavwyr Green and Magister Svala, I have written to the Hall of Mages regarding the matters that take place here in Vornavis. I have spoken about Cairnfang Manor, the efforts of the Order of the Silver Gryphons, the Order of the Swan, and the Orders of the Azure Sun."

Chamberlain glances over at Jiarine, barely raising his staff off the ground.

You nod slightly.

Raelee raises an eyebrow.

Odelgarde says, "Given recent happenings, the Emperors continued push for cultural exchanges, and the long history of magical misuse in the Frontier the Hall has requested that we work together in bringing up the name of the Hall of Mages from its current less than uh.. savory station."

Raelee narrows her eyes.

You nod understandingly.

Akenna cocks her head.

Odelgarde says, "As such, they have asked if you would begin teaching if she is willing, Arcanist Laeraun-Ranshai the ways of the Hall. Should she accept, the Hall of Mages expects training to begin immediately."

Jaysehn glances at Akenna and quirks an eyebrow in her direction.

Akenna blinks.

You give Akenna a strong, encouraging smile.

Speaking to Akenna, Odelgarde says, "Arcanist Laeraun-Ranshai, would you concede to learning the ways of the Hall of Mages and be willing to learn their methods in hopes that a better show of will may be had between the wider world and the Hall? They are willing to honor your own mastery and start you at the rank of Prentice Mavwyr."

Speaking to Odelgarde, Akenna says, "I do concede."

Akenna inclines her head.

Jaysehn glances down.

Jaysehn smiles quietly to himself.

Odelgarde asks, "Mavwyr Green and Magister Svala, do you concede to conduct this training?"

You formally reply, "Yes, I do so concede."

Akenna surreptitiously glances at Raelee.

Odelgarde grins.

Raelee breathes in slightly.

Speaking to Odelgarde, Raelee says, "Pending agreement on the particulars of what that entails."

Odelgarde says, "Of course, Magister Svala."

Odelgarde bows her head slightly as she drops into a deep, respectful curtsy.

Odelgarde takes a few steps back.

Akenna bows her head slightly toward Odelgarde as she drops into a deep, respectful curtsy before her.

Athalia rises from her seat.

Akenna says, "Thank you...I am truly humbled and will work diligently."

You see Lady Akenna Laeraun-Ranshai the Prentice Mavwyr of the Hall of Mages.
She appears to be an Elf.
She is of a slight height and has a spritely, small build. She appears to be young. She has sizable dark blue-green eyes and honey-freckled, creamy white skin. The ridges of her long, pointed ears each bear three naturally occurring notches, and a graceful aquamarine pattern climbs the left side of her neck, curls around her cheekbone, and splits into tendrils that encircle her left eye. The left side of her profile is lit in a hazy light emanating from a radiant arathiel earcap spliced with milky azure aquamarine inclusions.
She has rings of cobalt and aquamarine sigils inked on her left palm.
She is in good shape.
She is wearing a wyrwood-hearted locket, a silver gryphon pin, an embroidered silken partlet over a flat-bodiced kirtle of ash-on-cyan brocatelle with a light niveous chemise underneath, some short sheer silk gloves, an eahnor ring cradled in pale ora, and a pair of misty grey suede low-heeled shoes.

[Lots of applause!]

Athalia folds her hands.

Athalia respectfully says, "Thank you, Magister Odelgarde."

Athalia formally intones, "Ladies and gentlemen, esteemed members of the Vornavian Court, I stand before you today humbled and deeply moved by the extraordinary efforts that have recently come to my attention. These efforts concern the formidable battle waged against the insidious scourge known as the Green Death a vile disease masterfully orchestrated into existence by the malevolent Scarlet Temptress, Niatha."

Athalia takes a step to her right, hands still lightly clasped before her.

Athalia respectfully says, "In the annals of history, we often find that acts of valor and bravery are most commonly associated with the clash of swords on the battlefield or the grand spectacles of knights in shining armor. However, let us not forget that true heroism takes many forms, and not all heroes bear shields or wield weapons. Often, it is the compassionate hands of healers that bring light to the darkest of times."

Athalia pauses to gaze out at the assemblage, her now unclasped hands folded over her heart.

Athalia earnestly acknowledges, "It is with the utmost sincerity and gratitude that I extend my appreciation to the alchemists and their dedicated assistants who, under the ominous threat of the Green Death spreading its deadly shadow across our continent, rose to the occasion. They gathered precious supplies, labored tirelessly in their workshops, and, with unwavering determination, plunged into the fray of the afflicted and the weary, bearing hope and healing in their hands."

Athalia allows her hands to fall at her side, palms brushing against the fabric of her skirts.

Athalia says, "The enormity of their sacrifice and the magnitude of their accomplishments cannot be overstated. It would be an impossible endeavor to name each individual who worked tirelessly for this noble cause. Yet, it has come to our attention that some few names have traversed great distances, carrying with them the echoes of their deeds, reaching even the hallowed halls of the Vornavian Courts."

Athalia takes a few steps to her left, her eyes scanning the crowd.

Athalia says, "In this moment, I wish to acknowledge these exceptional individuals, whose actions have demonstrated the finest qualities of humanity selflessness, courage, and an unwavering commitment to the well-being of our people. Their dedication to this cause has touched the hearts of many and stands as a testament to the strength of our united spirit."

Athalia glances over her shoulder at Jarnsaixa and Odelgarde who, upon cue, step forward.

Athalia nods.

Athalia says, "As we reflect upon the heroic efforts that have brought us to this point, let us remember that it is in moments of adversity that the true character of a people is revealed. In the face of the Green Death's threat, we witnessed a remarkable display of unity, compassion, and resilience, one that rivals even the generosity shown to the refugees from Talador, Caligos Isle, and the Glaoveln."

Athalia appreciatively says, "Ladies and gentlemen, let us not forget the extraordinary contributions of these unsung heroes. They are the embodiment of hope, the guardians of life, and the healers of our world. Together, we stand united in gratitude and admiration for their noble deeds, which have illuminated our path through the darkest of times. While all we can do is offer this token of our appreciation, we hope that each individual will accept our undying gratitude. Those not present can expect to receive mail later this week."

Speaking to Yukito, Ifanna cheers, "Roight proper work Yukie!"

Yukito blushes a pink shade at Ifanna.

Chamberlain intones, "Mayor Talliver Dabbings for supplies offered in several major cities."

Athalia says, "May the Grenhal Thaumaturge Award continue to inspire and uplift those who dedicate their lives to the pursuit of healing and serve as a testament to the enduring legacy of Grenhal, whose spirit of compassion and selflessness shall forever guide us on our path to a better, healthier, and more harmonious Elanthia."

Chamberlain intones, "Artisan Beabuille of the Tehir for sending salt and cure-holding jewelry items to Solhaven."

Athalia says, "Those not present tonight will find these in their mail soon."

[Applause continues.]

(Yukito turns redder and redder in the face, and clears his throat a bit, moving back a little into the crowd.)

Athalia says, "Along with a letter of gratitude."

[General] Fyg asks, "Could someone please bring a few of us to Solhaven Court?"

Cryheart nods at Perigourd.

Perigourd just went through a pair of large fel doors.

[General] Fyg exclaims, "We've been gotten!"

Athalia says, "We will wait a moment as it appears there are some who wish to travel here post haste."

Chamberlain nods once at Athalia.

Perigourd's group just came through a pair of large fel doors.

Fyg says, "Gracious that's a lot of creatures."

Fyg glances out.

Fyg bobs down and back up in a quick curtsy.

Athalia smiles at Fyg.

Speaking to Fyg, Jiarine says, "The Solhaven court thinks you are special."

Fyg blushes a pink shade at Athalia.

Jiarine repeats, "Special."

Fyg exclaims, "It's got tiny writing on it!"

Fyg speculatively eyes her white swan feather.

Speaking to Fyg, Maylan says, "It means thanks fer helping with the Green Death."

You quietly whisper to Fyg, "Thank you for the help you have offered so many in response to the Green Death."

Nyaria gazes with interest at the white swan feather in her hand.

Fyg blushes a pink shade at you.

Jiarine asks, "Do you think I care enough to note the difference?"

[Lots of applause continues for the recent arrivals.]

Chamberlain taps his staff upon the ground three times, calling for a return to order.

Jiarine cocks her head at Cryheart.

Jiarine says, "The answer is no."

Fyg sheepishly says, "Thank you ever so much! I was just doing what Momma and Poppa told me a good healer should do."

Athalia frowns at Jiarine.

Athalia folds her hands.

Fyg sinks into a deep curtsy.

Fyg carefully places a green-banded cabochon bloodstone into a cubbyhole inside the lacquered case.

Fyg curiously asks, "Does, um. does anyone need cure?"

Fyg blushes a nice shade of pink.

Jiarine cheekily says, "Do you think there is a re-sale for a cauldron used to cure the Green Death? I have one only slightly used."

Chamberlain loudly taps his staff upon the ground three times, calling for a return to order.

Jarnsaixa frowns at Jiarine.

Fyg blushes a pink hue to the tops of her ears.

Fyg sheepishly whispers aloud, "Sorry."

Athalia nods politely.

Athalia says, "Before concluding, and opening the floor to petitions, there is a matter of some unfinished business that must be addressed before those gathered this day."

Jarnsaixa removes a swath of hunter tartan cloth from in her dark suede pouch.

Odelgarde removes a swath of blue Vornavian silk from in her gossamer wrap.

Athalia says, "I stand before you today with a heart heavy from the weight of the past year's tragic events, events that have cast a shadow over our land and caused some of the finer niceties of our noble traditions to fall by the wayside. In these trying times, it is important for us to remember and acknowledge those who have risen to the occasion, either through their unwavering perseverance or by the trust and will of their peers."

Athalia places a hand over her heart.

Athalia says, "It has come to my attention that there are individuals among us, those who should be recognized and celebrated for their everyday efforts, their tireless dedication to our people, and their remarkable rise in rank be it through elected means or sheer tenacity. There exists a title, one that should rightfully have been bestowed upon these individuals, yet the trials and tribulations of the past year have caused this to remain unfulfilled."

Athalia complacently says, "While we understand that titles can be transient, and the circumstances we find ourselves in are far from ideal, it is our duty to uphold the traditions and honors that have been earned through unwavering commitment and dedication. These individuals have proven themselves through their actions, their sacrifices, and their unwavering loyalty to our noble cause. Their service to our land and our people should not go unrecognized."

Athalia slowly says, "I wish to extend my heartfelt gratitude to the knights who, in their wisdom and adherence to the tenets of Chivalry, have not called out the Vornavian Court for its lapses in propriety. Your dedication to our noble ideals is a testament to your character and your commitment to the greater good. It is through your understanding and your noble silence that we are reminded of the true essence of chivalry valor, courtesy, and honor."

Athalia says, "In closing, let us come together as a united court to rectify this oversight and bestow upon these deserving individuals the titles and honors they have earned. It is through our collective actions that we can ensure that our traditions remain steadfast, even in the face of adversity. We thank you for your understanding, your commitment, and your unwavering support in these challenging times."

Odelgarde unties the bindings and folds back the edges of her blue Vornavian silk to reveal a hammered bronze and eonake torc capped in radiant sunstones positioned perfectly in its center.

Bristenn strides a few steps forward.

Laying one hand behind his back, palm open, and one across his waist, Bristenn bows to Athalia with air of great dignity.

Athalia says, "For a number of years, Sir Bristenn Mires has taken upon himself the responsibilities and duties of a rank he has not sought for his own glory or recognition. Instead, he has labored tirelessly, investing his time and energy into the betterment of his order, ensuring that its traditions and values remain steadfast."

Athalia smiles at Bristenn.

Athalia says, "Today, we stand here not only to acknowledge Sir Bristenn's selfless service but also to bestow upon him a title that, though he may object, is well-deserved. It is with great pride that we announce Sir Bristenn Mires as the Knight-Regent of the Order of the Azure Sun. This title signifies his exceptional leadership, his dedication to his fellow knights, and his tireless efforts to uphold the noble ideals of our order."

Speaking to Bristenn, Maylan exclaims, "Huzzah!"

Mourdeyan says, "Here, here."

[Lots of applause.]

Fyg relievedly says, "Ok, it's ok to cheer now."

Bristenn cautiously replies, "..my lady."

Odelgarde offers Bristenn a hammered bronze and eonake torc capped in radiant sunstones.

Bristenn accepts Odelgarde's eonake torc.

Bristenn glances down.

Athalia says, "We understand that titles are not the primary motivation for Sir Bristenn's actions, and he has always placed the well-being of his order above all else. Therefore, let it be known that this title, while rightfully his for now, shall remain transient. If Sir Bristenn should find a worthy successor, the Vornavian Court is committed to ensuring that the title of Knight-Regent of the Order of the Azure Sun is passed on to the individual who embodies the values and ideals of our order."

Athalia says, "In conclusion, we extend our deepest gratitude to Sir Bristenn Mires for his unwavering dedication and selflessness. His actions serve as an inspiration to us all, a reminder of the boundless potential for good that resides within the hearts of our noble knights. May his leadership continue to guide the Order of the Azure Sun on the path of honor and chivalry for years to come."

Bristenn carefully answers, "We serve at the pleasure of Vornavis and her noble house of Malwind."

Athalia bows her head slightly toward Bristenn as she drops into a deep, respectful curtsy before him.

Bristenn forcefully crosses one arm over his chest and offers a formal bow.

Athalia says, "It is with a sense of regret that we acknowledge an oversight on the part of the Vornavian Court. At the time of Sir Guarrin's election, it should have been our solemn duty to bestow upon him the title of Knight-Regent. However, in the midst of turmoil and upheaval, we were sadly remiss in fulfilling this important acknowledgment."

Fyg excitedly exclaims, "How wonderful for you both!"

Athalia says, "Today, we rectify this oversight. Sir Guarrin Hjeldin, it is with great pride and admiration that we officially recognize you as the Knight-Regent of the Order of the Silver Gryphons. Meliyara strides a few steps forward.

Athalia says, "When last we gathered, Magister Odelgarde extended to you an invitation to the Order of the Swan on my behalf. We asked that you consider this honor for we understand the cultural differences between the Dhe'nar and those of the Turamzyrrian Empire. It has been an effort of our cousin, the Emperor of the Sunthrone, to bridge these gaps between the various cultures that dot our continent as we forge forward on a pathway of understanding. While we bid you ponder our offer of a few short weeks ago, we now ask you this."

Athalia asks, "Will you aid us in furthering his goal of understanding, compassion, and empathy by accepting our offer and becoming the Solace-a'field of the Order of the Swan?"

Today, it is my honor to acknowledge the exceptional efforts of two remarkable healers who have selflessly dedicated themselves to the well-being of our beloved Solhaven, the Barony of Vornavis, her people, and those beyond our borders."

Chamberlain says, "In times of great need, these healers have stood as beacons of hope and solace, their unwavering commitment shining brightly even if their carriage or clothing were of humbler furnishings. They have not only provided suggestions, writings, or even vials to help find a cure for our noble Baron but have delved into the complex studies of the affliction that befell the Steward, Jarnsaixa Vargdoittr. Their tireless efforts have not only saved lives but have brought comfort and relief to those in times of suffering and despair."

Chamberlain says, "Beyond the walls of our esteemed keep, these healers have extended their healing touch to those who may not have the means to seek help. One in particular has offered free clinics in our very own South Haven, offering their skills and knowledge to aid those without finances, ensuring that no one in our city is left to suffer alone."

Chamberlain says, "The other, in times of crisis, they have ventured into the field, where danger and uncertainty abound, to provide much-needed aid to those who need it the most. Their selflessness knows no bounds, and their actions have exemplified the true spirit of healing and compassion."

Athalia says, "We have but one more order of business that we wish to address before opening the floor to petitions."

Athalia formally calls, "Herald Regwen and Herald Delindra, we must set a charge upon you immediately to represent the Vornavian Court in the broader world. We know it is a little unfair to ask this of you, however, duty never waits for a man or woman to be ready."

Athalia smiles kindly upon Regwen and Delindra.

Athalia formally says, "We ask that on tomorrow eve, you set sail for a clandestine meeting beyond the southron seas. There we will ask that you represent Imperial Interests and act as Heralds of not just Vornavis but the Empire."

Delindra nods at Athalia.

Deavon says, "Intriguing."

Athalia wryly says, "Though I can say no more of this meeting for fear of endangering those that will be in attendance, we ask that you take our dear Friend and Steward Jarnsaixa Vargrdoittr with you."

Jarnsaixa nods once.

With a graceful movement of her hands, Regwen lowers her head and sinks into a formal curtsy before Athalia.

Speaking respectfully to Jaysehn, Odelgarde says, "Commodore Ranshai, we would formally request that you transport our friend and steward to this location on our behalf."

Regwen nods.

Jiarine asks, "A return to plague island?"

Jaysehn nods.

Delindra bows her head slightly as she drops into a deep, respectful curtsy.

Jaysehn says, "It shall be done. The Fleet is happy to help."

Odelgarde says, "I do not believe the island is south."

Speaking reverently to Jaysehn, Uniana wishes, "Fair Winds."

Odelgarde inclines her head respectfully towards Jaysehn.

Akenna smiles at Jaysehn.

Athalia nods slowly.

Speaking to Uniana, Kothos says, "If anyone can find such, it's the Commodore."

Regwen smiles at Jaysehn.

Jiarine says, "Forgive me as I am just a mere mage who has no desire to set foot on a boat to go sailing. The saltwater does terrible things to my hair."

Chamberlain formally announces, "We will now open the floor for petitions. Sir Cryheart Thaxin has the floor."

Chamberlain bows to Cryheart.

Cryheart nods at Chamberlain.

Athalia raises an eyebrow.

Cryheart bows to Chamberlain.

Cryheart strides over to stand before Athalia.

Athalia flushes slightly, some color reaching her cheeks.

Cryheart kneels down.

Cryheart glances at Chamberlain.

Athalia takes a deep breath.

Chamberlain nods at Jaysehn.

Cryheart says, "Please lord Chamberlain dinnae whack me with your staff when I present the gift."

Cryheart winks at Chamberlain.

Athalia raises an eyebrow.

Jarnsaixa frowns.

Cryheart says, "M'lady, this gift was a colloborative effort. Squire Perigourd allowed me to stand in his line position to finish up the gift. Sir Guarrin donated the case. I, of course, forged the gift."

Chamberlain twists his staff in his open hand.

Geijon moves away from Jarnsaixa, over to Cryheart, and stands ready to protect him from attack.

Geijon chuckles.

Cryheart glances at Chamberlain.

Cryheart fidgets.

Cryheart just opened a satin-lined cotton twill surcoat.

Cryheart removes a gem-encrusted maoral weapon case from in his cotton twill surcoat.

Jarnsaixa begins chuckling at Geijon!

Cryheart says, "For a certain ceremony, open the case and see the gift inside."

Cryheart offers Athalia a gem-encrusted maoral weapon case.

Athalia accepts Cryheart's maoral weapon case.

Cryheart stands up.

Cryheart says, "It will hae bite."

Cryheart smiles at Athalia.

Athalia's eyes flutter briefly, her composure broken for a split second before her noble mask slips back into place.

Cryheart says, "Nae."

Athalia just opened a gem-encrusted maoral weapon case.

Athalia smiles.

Speaking to Cryheart, Fyg exclaims, "I think I saw that being made!"

Athalia gasps, "Oh."

Cryheart grins at Fyg.

Perigourd folds his hands behind his back.

Athalia smiles down at Cryheart.

Cryheart bows to Athalia.

Fyg says, "It's very VERY fabulous."

Cryheart winks at Athalia.

Athalia quietly says, "Oh, it is beautiful, my knight."

Athalia places a hand over her heart.

Cryheart says, "Thank ye m'lady."

Athalia removes a ceremonial knighting sword from in her maoral weapon case.

Athalia earnestly says, "That I have the honor of doing another, I will gladly wield this."

Athalia gazes fondly at Cryheart.

Cryheart smiles at Athalia.

Nyaria softly says, "How stunning."

Cryheart says, "My honor to make it for ye."

Athalia put a ceremonial knighting sword in her maoral weapon case.

Cryheart bows to Athalia.

Cryheart takes a few steps back.

Athalia bows deeply to Cryheart.

Cryheart bows to Athalia.

Chamberlain formally announces, "Commodore Jaysehn Ranshai has the floor."

Athalia clears her throat.

Jaysehn strides a few steps forward.

Jaysehn removes his hat with a flourish of his hand.

Jaysehn says, "My Lady. Recent events have called attention to our lack of a Harbormaster more clearly than ever."

Athalia nods slowly.

Chamberlain nods at Bristenn.

Jaysehn says, "Captain Kimrella's quarantine, the arrival of the plague and now the movement of the Barony's Heralds to far distant waters....this requires organization and leadership."

Athalia nods at Jaysehn.

Jaysehn says, "I would once again wish to put foward Kilvath, who runs the private docks at North Haven Quay. He is a captable seafarer, well respected...."

Jaysehn says, "...and he is half-krolvin. Your mercy towards the refugees of Glaoveln will bring a great many krolvin into the borders of the Barony. Kilvath might be an ideal man to mediate between them, and find useful and purposeful duties for them to make a new future here."

Jaysehn bows respectfully, his eyes fixed firmly on the ground.

Athalia nods.

Jaysehn takes a few steps back.

Athalia says, "Thank you, Commodorre, your matter-of-fact presentation, knowledge of the sea, and commitment to Voln are all things that we have come to rely on these past few months. We will take your request under advicement."

Jaysehn bows respectfully, his eyes fixed firmly on the ground.

Jaysehn places his hat on top of his head with one hand, adjusting it slightly for a perfect fit.

Chamberlain formally announces, "Sir Bristenn Mires has the floor."

Bristenn takes a deep breath.

Bristenn strides a few steps forward.

Athalia nods briskly!

Bristenn bows respectfully, his eyes fixed firmly on the ground.

Bristenn clearly begins, "It is again that I must thank the court for its honors, and those gathered here who wished their congratulations."

Bristenn carefully continues, "However what I bring to this court on behalf of my brothers and sisters' order is part of that responsibility, as it would appear."

Bristenn clearly explains, "Given the threats posed to not only Vornavis, but the greater parts of this continent- made clearly evident by the Green Death, and the actions of the so named Dusk Coven, I feel we must act."

Chamberlain nods at Fyg.

Athalia looks thoughtfully at Bristenn.

Bristenn briskly states, "Yet we must not act alone. As her ladyship has been made aware, it is tonight that I formally announce our attempt at an Alliance- a nonpolitical coordination between the many groups, and organizations, brotherhoods and gatherings from each coast and all between."

Athalia raises an eyebrow.

Bristenn continues, "This fellowship would be made to defend our lands, all of our lands, from the threat of the Dusk Coven, without political intent or motivation. We are all kin in the fight to come, and must defend what is ours."

Bristenn slowly concludes, "By the end of this week, my missives will ideally reach across the lands, and we will meet on the first of Jastatos."

Bristenn forcefully crosses one arm over his chest and offers Athalia a formal bow.

Bristenn takes a few steps back.

Athalia says, "Let me offer one word of caution, Sir Mires. While I find your endeavor to be noble, you may wish to consider the name that you have used for such an undertaking. Perhaps Alliance is not the best title to be utilized given the history of such a thing in these parts."

Athalia says, "However."

Bristenn nods understandingly.

(Teveriel frowns darkly.)

Athalia says, "It is never too late to reach out to those we have helped or who have helped us to build a stalwart against the potential for a coming dark. We look forward to hearing of those groups that will join your call for unity. Let us remember to respect all walks when we do this."

Jiarine mildly says, "We should just all be friends."

Bristenn firmly assures, "This we swear, my lady."

Athalia nods respectfully.

Chamberlain formally announces, "The Fabulous Fyg Ment has the floor."

Fyg blushes a nice shade of pink.

Fyg waves.

Fyg exclaims, "Hi! I just want to quickly say that I couldn't have done any of my healing with the cure and stuff without the very IMPORTANT help of Miss Loralaii!"

Odelgarde chuckles.

Odelgarde offers Loralaii a black-tipped white swan feather wrapped in Vornavian silk.

Fyg beams happily at Odelgarde!

Loralaii accepts Odelgarde's white swan feather.

Speaking to Odelgarde, Fyg exclaims, "You knew what I was going to say!"

Fyg applauds Loralaii.

Loralaii smiles at Fyg.

Fyg hugs Loralaii.

Athalia says, "Miss Loralaii was honored among the list when first we gave it."

Athalia smiles at Fyg.

Fyg sheepishly says, "I wasn't here."

Fyg ducks her head.

Loralaii darkly says, "I wasnt here, so...."

Athalia amusedly says, "Indeed."

Loralaii darkly says, "Thank you."

Fyg cheerfully exclaims, "That was all!"

Loralaii gives Fyg a friendly hug.

Fyg gazes fondly at Loralaii.

Chamberlain inquires, "Are there any others who wish to petition?"

Chamberlain raises his green staff and thumps the end of it on the floor several times.

Chamberlain formally announces, "This concludes this court session, we thank you all for your presence."

Athalia bows her head slightly as she drops into a deep, respectful curtsy.

[Lots of bows, curtsies, etc.]

Lady Athalia just went through a small side door.

Alosaka says, "Congratulations to everyone who was recognized."

Fyg asks, "So... NOW does anyone need cure?"

Magister Odelgarde just went through a small side door.

Speaking to Chamberlain, Deavon says, "Thank you."

Speaking bashfully to Chamberlain, Maylan says, "Thank you for the honors, Mister Sir."

Uniana graciously praises, "Yes, well done to those commended this evening."

Regwen says, "What a night."

Jarnsaixa steps off the dais.

Jarnsaixa nods.

Chamberlain inclines his head.

Falicor says, "Well done, all."

Jaysehn says, "The Onyx Eclipse will be sailing at the top of the hour if any wish to come. We are scouting the South Blue for signs of our island from the other evening."

Jarnsaixa nods at Guarrin.

Guarrin nods appreciatively at Jaysehn.

Speaking to Chamberlain, Maylan says, "Mister Sir Bristenn Sir told me I'm supposed to bring something to the court, so I brought candy."

Tikba says, "It is wonderful to see people commended for their hard work and dedication."

Maylan grabs a lumpy banana sea slug-shaped candy chew from inside her suede hip-satchel.

Speaking to Jaysehn, Guarrin says, "I will join you, certainly."

Maylan offers Chamberlain a lumpy banana sea slug-shaped candy chew.

Mourdeyan says, "Excuse me."

Jaysehn says, "I'll be in the Market once preperations are made."

Falicor says, "Fight well, all."

Guarrin says, "We have much work to do, but well earned all."

Bristenn slowly agrees, "She brought candy, yes."

Jarnsaixa says, "Be careful in your travels, Commodorre."

Speaking awkwardly to Maylan, Chamberlain says, "That is... very thoughtful of you."

Maylan nods.

Chamberlain accepts Maylan's slug-shaped chew.

Speaking to Jarnsaixa, Jaysehn says, "Fate, my Lady."

You warmly say, "Congratulations to all those honored this evening. Such was very well deserved all around."

Geijon says, "Indeed."

Nyaria softly says, "May the winds always be at your back."

Speaking to Maylan, Chamberlain offers, "It looks very lifelike."

Tikba says, "I must return home. Congratulations, my friends."

Speaking appreciatively to you, Tikba says, "I will speak to you again once we know more of the damage."

Speaking to Tikba, Fyg asks, "Can I help you feel better?"

Lylia says, "I should venture back as well."

Speaking sincerely to Tikba, you say, "I look forward to hearing what we can help with."

Oxhammer says, "Well done all...all well deserved."

Speaking to Tikba, Fyg exclaims, "All better!"

Guarrin asks, "Shall we head back to the market?"

Jisandra whispers something to Jarnsaixa.

Jarnsaixa raises an eyebrow in Jisandra's direction.

Speaking to Guarrin, Maylan says, "Congrats to you, fella."

Speaking to her white swan feather, Jiarine says, "It would be in terrible taste to have you altered immediately."

Jarnsaixa nods at Jisandra.

You say, "Good evening, everyone."

Speaking to Maylan, Guarrin says, "Thank you, and to you as well."

Speaking to Bristenn, Maylan exclaims, "And to you too!"
