Summary

  • Thadston comes to Moot Hall with two primary topics: how to deal with the bleakwalker and the movements of various factions around town. Faerinn asks about Casiphia, but Thadston says she's kept out of sight recently, and at least that means she's listening since he pushed her away. Danger is growing and the militia is being hunted.
  • The group heads inside to Mayor Leafiara's office, where Thadston relays that he's been getting information as best he can and helping militia hide out or get away. Faerinn asks if only the militia is being hunted and not the guard; Thadston says the guard's seeing conflicts, but not being as hunted.
  • Thadston says the Rooks, Lich King followers, Knave mercenaries, and Blood Son's followers have claimed territory in the streets. Meanwhile, Rone hasn't been spotted since the night of the barracks destruction and is likely dead; Leafi contests that if so, the gauntlets should have turned up either in use by someone or sold to a high bidder. Thadston shrugs and says maybe wounded and hiding to outlive the bounty Khylon issued.
  • Leafi says to prioritize and asks who's doing the most damage; Thadston says the Knave has taken the most territory. He explains that the Knave's men and the Rooks are at war most fiercely with each other, while the Blood Son's cultists are gathering near the Brass Tower but are less of a threat. Lastly, the Lich King and his goons are around the western part of town; he says they haven't done anything outlandish, but are growing more bold.
  • Sir Bristenn asks if we've petitioned the outpost for support and Thadston asks what he'd have them do. Bristenn says reinforcing the militia and guard; Thadston says we don't need further imperial ties or we'll become the Barony of Darkstone. Leafi says Larsya already offered aid from soldiers regardless.
  • Thadston draws up a map of the territory of each group as the gathered defenders contemplate what it means. He says none of them are working together, at least, but we'll need to discuss strategies to rebuild defense, re-arm the militia, and turn the battle. He says we shouldn't focus too heavily on one only to get bit by another one or two.
  • Pietra asks if we don't like any of them and Thadston says yes, we'll kill them all. She questions why we should trust him after the damage he did as a drunkard, while Wolfloner says he can't let go of an obsession with the Rooks. Thadston says the bleakwalker is quiet now since he pushed away Casi. Leafi questions whether the bleakwalker has been growing stronger, which was her concern, and Thadston says it depends and it hasn't been easy these last few weeks, as he's faced with violent dreams and tendencies.
  • Thadston says he's not fit to lead any new militia, but is fit for war. Chandrellia asks who benefits most from this turf war and wonders if this was all a setup over months, with Barnom returning followed by the Blood Son and now the Knave. Thadston asks if she's suggesting Stone and he doubts it; she says she's not suggesting anyone. Thadston says he doesn't need bandit wars when he has the Star of Khar'ta.
  • Thadston guesses that the Knave is either Amos, Stephos, or someone behind them with strings, and suggests killing them both. Leafi, Xorus, Faerinn, and Lylia are all for it, with the latter suggesting starting with Stephos--but Thadston says no, start with Amos and put him back in the pit he came from. Faerinn says Amos was supposed to have left before the barracks were attacked, so if we can confirm his absence that would put him out of the running as the Knave; Thadston says someone can send killers to act on their behalf.
  • Thadston says Amos is poison who only knows greed and power. Leafi brings up that Amos had kept saying he'd tell us a story about Thadston that was true and Thadston would tell a story that wasn't, but never got around to it. Thadston says he'll tell the story himself...
  • Wolfloner says moving against the Rooks is a path he can't follow and to remember that Thadston's leadership led the outpost nearly to ruin, and his strategy will lead to a similar path of weakening the Landing's defenses. Meanwhile, the Turamzzyrian Empire is no ally. Thadston says if he likes the Rooks so much, marry them, and if the Empire wanted this land then street thieves in bird masks couldn't stop it. They go back and forth over the meaning of freedom and which of them understands it.
  • After that wraps up, Thadston relays the story that he was once called the Cobbler Knight. After marrying Saraphene he battled his spirits. He took up protection work in Lolle and had problems with drinking, which drove away Saraphene--who also took their son Disean with her. Because of his issue, a client they were protecting nearly got killed and he left part of their hired mercenary help behind... Amos among them. The client threw him in a lion's pit, thinking that he was Thadston, so the client's entourage could enjoy watching Amos get eaten by lions. Instead Amos broke free of his chains, killed the lions, killed most of the people in attendance, and took the wealth of those he left alive.
  • Dergoatean asks what the false story was that Amos thought Thadston would tell; Thadston says he expected him not to say he was a drunkard or abandoned his group, but he says he has no shame in telling us. Captain Stormyrain asks if Thadston thinks Amos should go back in the pit for surviving being captured and almost executed over Thadston's drinking; Thadston says that he left him behind doesn't make him a good man; Stormy asks why he thinks so; Thadston says he's greedy and will drain everything around him, as he has before. Thadston says Amos wants to establish his order, his profits, and his power, and reminds him of [[Drangell]. Leafi admits she liked him at first because he's a hunter, but now he comes across as someone who wants unchallenged authority; Thadston says Amos is a hunter, but only in a traditional sense, as everyone is prey to him.
  • Thadston has to rest and says we'll discuss the bleakwalker another night, reiterating to consider how to get rid of her. Wolfloner suggests falling upon his sword. Thadston glances at the window and a wisp of azure light curls out of him, but then he starts to leave... only to turn around and smash Wolfloner's head into the mayor's desk first.

Awaiting Thadston

[Town Square Central]

This is the heart of the main square of Wehnimer's Landing. The impromptu shops of the bazaar are clustered around this central gathering place, where townsfolk, travellers, and adventurers meet to talk, conspire or raise expeditions to the far-flung reaches of Elanith. At the north end, an old well, with moss-covered stones and a craggy roof, is shaded from the moonlight by a strong, robust tree. The oak is tall and straight, and it is apparent that the roots run deep. You also see a green-eyed grey and white kitten, the green Qushai disk, a long-winged falcon that is flying around, a fluctuant lake spirit that is flying around, the vermeil Ealair disk draped with silver strands of tidal pearls, the Savageheart disk, the Arvega disk, the Destrian disk, the fiery red Ycelacie disk, a large raven that is flying around, the blue Tnerps disk, a slice of crisply cooked bass, a slice of crisply cooked quillback, a slice of crisply cooked salmon, a slice of crisply cooked perch, a slice of crisply cooked trout, a slice of crisply cooked bass, the Eph disk, the seaweed-covered Xayd disk, a massive snowy white tiger, a pale-faced coppery barn owl, a sinuous bone white serpent, the Doko disk, the Kippe disk, an amber-eyed tawny range wolf, the Taulramil disk, the Kiwoeachi disk, an ember-eyed fire wyrdling, a falcon feather, the Kasula disk, a large acorn, some stone benches with some stuff on it and an herbal remedy donation bin.

Also here: Imperatrix Lylia, Pietra, Qushai, Draend, Alvyara, Heathecliff, Lady in Waiting Chandrellia, Ealair, Lord Asben, High Lord Sadnama, Yardie, Marijka, Savageheart, Ithloria, Keemar, Arvega, High Lord Destrian, Great Lady Sochestie, Wolfloner, Bakarus, Ycelacie, Cesteal, Tnerps, Xorus, Berost, Orlicks, Lord Eph, Xayd, Roelon, Zosopage, Sir Cryheart, Sir Bristenn, Guarrin, Gypsy Scribe Balley, Doko, Shinann, Barrister Faerinn, Kippe, Hapenlok, Mayor Leafiara, Squire Legionnaire Taulramil, Lord Kothos, Kiwoeachi, Kelstien, Chaser Rendena, Squire Legionnaire Kasula, Fumple who is lying down

Some town workers arrive outside of Moot Hall and quickly setup a large wooden makeshift stand before hanging a sign on it that reads, "Tolby's Winter Delights!" The workers nod, satisified with their construction, then wander off.

Speaking to Chandrellia, Leafiara says, "He's off traveling for... some period of time. We don't know when he'll be back."

Speaking to Chandrellia, Pietra says, "Pukk is quite busy arranging freight between the uhm..."

Hapenlok says, "He's been in a decent mood."

Sir Cryheart's group just went east.

[Town Square, East]

Here in the center of a broad plaza near the commercial area of the bazaar stands the impressive facade of the slate-roofed Moot Hall, where the citizens of Wehnimer's Landing hold various official, religious and social functions. Facing the square are some of the town's more prosperous shops, still doing business with the many customers who still frequent the streets at night. You also see a large wooden makeshift stand with some stuff on it, a purple skirt, a large acorn and a large purple wooden barrel.

Kothos asks, "Did you have a question of some kind, or does your face just do that?"

Leafiara surprisedly asks, "Oh, the winter carts already?"

Cryheart says, "Nice."

Speaking to Chandrellia, Pietra says, "The places with things and the things with places."

Zosopage says, "I must admit I do miss him though."

Kiwoeachi says, "They start earlier every year."

Leafiara says, "I suppose the time's right."

Cryheart feeds a pale-faced coppery barn owl a bite of his cinnamon muffin.

Chandrellia softly says, "Well then, in his absence."

Cryheart says, "There ye go, Owly."

Speaking softly to Cryheart, Chandrellia says, "Try not to crawl too slowly tonight Sir Shiny."

Speaking to Zosopage, Pietra exclaims, "Pukk's always right!"

Speaking neutrally to Bakarus, Bristenn admits, "It would get old after a while, I fear."

Faerinn says, "Ooh, cider. Though I prefer a mulled wine myself."

Speaking to Pietra, Zosopage says, "Well I wouldn't go THAT far."

Speaking darkly to Bristenn, Bakarus says, "Perhaps. controlling the rabble is however, necessary."

Speaking to Zosopage, Pietra says, "You're wrong, he's always right."

Faerinn says, "Oh, that is also an option."

Leafiara says, "Small joys where we can get 'em."

Jara says, "Oh how we empaths love chocolate."

Speaking to Pietra, Zosopage says, "That sounded like like you said 'you're right, he's always wrong.'"

Faerinn says, "I hope Thadston's news is he made all this."

Faerinn says, "And he's been taking up cooking."

Speaking to Faerinn, Alvyara says, "That would be good news."

Speaking darkly to Bristenn, Bakarus says, "If you seek guidance on the matter, perhaps a study of our Lady Eorgina."

Ycelacie curiously asks, "Are we doing anything here?"

Speaking curiously to a pale-faced coppery barn owl, Leafiara asks, "Do you know where Magister Raelee is, Owly?"

Speaking to Ycelacie, Alvyara says, "We're waiting for the marshall."

Myharl deeply says, "Nah, I know Tolby's snacks anywhere."

Kothos says, "If so, his tea is good. Not as fine as Lylia's family's blend, but..."

Alvyara asks, "Is he still the marshall?"

Speaking to Ycelacie, Jara says, "Sorry, it's so good."

Speaking to a pale-faced coppery barn owl, Leafiara says, "Her expertise might be helpful when Thadston comes to speak with us."

Myharl deeply says, "These are the real deal."

Alvyara says, "I'm behind on politics."

Speaking to Alvyara, Faerinn says, "Sorta."

Speaking to Alvyara, Leafiara says, "Well, he's been temporarily removed, but once he can fix his bleakwalker problem he'll be reinstated."

Alvyara says, "Hmm."

Speaking amusedly to Bakarus, Hapenlok asks, "You do realize, you're trying to convert an anointed knight, who fought against the Dark Alliance, oh those many years ago, to worshipping Eorgina?"

Alvyara mouths, "Bleakwalker.."

Speaking to Alvyara, Leafiara says, "That's probably what he's coming here to talk about now."

Alvyara says, "I see."

Guarrin offhandedly mentions, "Sounds very, well, Eorginian."

Speaking darkly to Hapenlok, Bakarus says, "Perhaps converting is a bit strong. Educating."

Speaking to Jara, Asben says, "Looks better on you than it did on me."

Speaking to Bakarus, Hapenlok says, "If he tramples you with his horse, try not to bleed on me."

Speaking to Alvyara, Faerinn says, "He used to think it was his wife."

Speaking darkly to Hapenlok, Bakarus says, "Oh he will do no such thing. Such a nobleman, apparently."

Lylia whispers something to Xorus.

Taulramil says, "This pheasant is good."

Thadston's Greetings

Lord Thadston just arrived.

Speaking to Asben, Jara says, "Thank you. I feel complete."

Taulramil says, "I wonder who the chef is."

Thadston says, "Well well well."

[General] Faerinn thinks, "My win."

Speaking pointedly to Bakarus, Hapenlok says, "Accidents happen. Especially in this town. And it's not just him you've got to worry about."

Speaking amiably to Thadston, Leafiara greets, "Thadston, good eve."

Balley softly says, "Hello Thadston."

Taulramil says, "I'd like to hire him."

Thadston says, "Aren't you all a sight for sore eyes. I mean, if I could see."

Jara whispers something to Asben.

Speaking to Taulramil, Pietra says, "I'm the eater, and my mouth likes this."

Speaking to Thadston, Lylia says, "And good to see you as well."

Bernadette softly says, "Cap'n."

Thadston says, "Which I can, kind of."

Speaking to Thadston, Goldstr says, "Evenin Sir Andrews."

Speaking softly to Thadston, Chandrellia asks, "Well hello Thadston how are you feeling?"

Speaking to Thadston, Faerinn asks, "Evening...Marshall?"

Speaking musingly to Thadston, Leafiara says, "Well... I suppose in a sense."

Yardie says, "I will wish you all well....from afar. I tend to not share such ambitions for wanton destruction."

Bristenn takes a moment to observe Thadston.

Thadston says, "I am. That is enough I suppose."

Thadston nods at Bristenn.

Speaking softly to Thadston, Chandrellia says, "Well, it's nice to see you again."

Thadston says, "As much as I can be..."

Bristenn nods understandingly at Thadston.

Speaking to Thadston, Ycelacie says, "Hi."

Bristenn neutrally remarks, "Bit worse for the wear, but aren't we all."

Speaking to Thadston, Faerinn asks, "How's Lady Casiphia doing?"

Speaking to Thadston, Taulramil says, "Last time I saw you.. some odd things were going on, I hope you are better."

Asben whispers something to Jara.

Speaking to Thadston, Leafiara says, "Many have been theorizing about the bleakwalker, if that's what you wished to discuss tonight."

Thadston touches the fragments of metal woven into the flesh of his forearms, making him the original kroderine soul.

Speaking to Thadston, Ycelacie asks, "Were you the one I killed before?"

Speaking to Thadston, Kothos asks, "And your dark passenger?"

Speaking softly to Ycelacie, Chandrellia says, "I doubt that."

Speaking softly to Ycelacie, Chandrellia says, "Oh wait it was you."

Hapenlok says, "Well, I suppose that's the overwhelming problem to solve, these days. ....Thadston's ....passenger. For lack of better terms."

Speaking to Thadston, Leafiara says, "You know, I'd been thinking about those kroderine shards and how or if they stifle the bleakwalker in any way, depending how it... lives."

Thadston says, "Yes. Tonight we can begin to partially discuss her."

Speaking to Kothos, Faerinn corrects, "Azure."

Thadston says, "My bleakwalker."

Alvyara asks, "Partially?"

Speaking softly to Ycelacie, Chandrellia asks, "Let's not have a second accident ok?"

Speaking to Thadston, Faerinn asks, "But not Casi?"

Speaking quietly to Thadston, Wolfloner asks, "What is a bleakwalker?"

Leafiara admits, "One subject at a time, I suppose, though... yeah, I'm curious too where Casiphia's been."

Speaking quietly to Wolfloner, Pietra says, "Icky magic people that smell bad."

Thadston says, "Casi. I have not seen directly. She has kept out of sight recently, it's been growing dangerous in the streets the last few weeks. That's what else we need to discuss."

Thadston says, "I pushed her away. So good, she's listening."

Leafiara ruefully says, "...yeah. People in hiding, all kinds of trouble."

Speaking to Lylia, Kothos says, "You never smell bad."

Faerinn says, "But indirectly."

Thadston says, "The militia is still being hunted."

Speaking to Xorus, Kothos says, "...you might smell like dread. That doesn't mean bad, though."

Speaking to Kothos, Lylia says, "Indeed, it is how I served as mayor and continued to smell of roses."

Thadston says, "In fact, we should head inside."

Leafiara says, "The Landing Defense Irregulars have been offering their own barracks in lieu of--"

Thadston joins Cryheart's group.

Leafiara agrees, "Good point."

Thadston asks, "Mayor's office?"

[travel]

Speaking darkly to Pietra, Wolfloner asks, "If he fell upon his own sword would he release the bleakwalker and enable to cross beyond the veil?"

[Mayor Leafiara's Office]

Silk-cushioned chairs surround a circular cherry red table toward the back of the room. Plush carpets of fake fur blanket the polished oak floor while myriad painted treats span the office's walls, interrupted by an oversized placard. In a back corner, above a brick fireplace, a mounted stag's head watches vigilantly from a distance over a hazelwood dart board near the entryway. A leaf-shaped window invites outside light toward a drink bar that stands beneath a painting. You also see a basket of sticks, a tiny two-tiered bookshelf, a crisp ivory parchment and a crisp ivory parchment.

Also here: Squire Legionnaire Taulramil, Lord Kothos, Chaser Rendena, Grand Lord Myharl, Hapenlok, Barrister Faerinn, Gypsy Scribe Balley, Guarrin, Sir Bristenn, Zosopage, Roelon, Berost, Ycelacie, Bakarus, Wolfloner, Lord Asben, Lady in Waiting Chandrellia, Alvyara, Pietra, Goldstr, Imperatrix Lylia, Shinann, Lord Telagan, Bernadette, Diamondelille, Stormyrain, Lord Thadston, Kiwoeachi, Sir Cryheart

Speaking to Kothos, Zosopage says, "If you ever said anything to the contrary, you'd be in trouble."

Ycelacie says, "Ugh."

Ycelacie says, "Are we just going to talk."

Leafiara surreptitiously says, "Now hopefully this is actually protecting ourselves instead of cornering ourselves, but...."

Speaking to Wolfloner, Pietra says, "That's a fine question, one which I do not have an answer."

Leafiara says, "At least we're out of the lightning."

Speaking to Leafiara, Hapenlok says, "Probably both."

Bernadette softly says, "Aye."

Bristenn slowly observes, ".. the decor is at least a bit less suspicious, these days."

Leafiara looks at Bristenn and hums. [OOC: funny thing is I missed the all-important word "less"...]

Speaking to Leafiara, Hapenlok says, "But I've shifted to earth aspect, so I may survive."

Lylia turns her head toward Bristenn to favor him with a silent, withering gaze. [OOC: ...and so was super confused by Lylia's move here, ha]

Speaking to Leafiara, Pietra asks, "How many windows have you had to replace in the last month?"

Faerinn says, "Too many birds."

Speaking to Thadston, Leafiara says, "We can take the topics in either order as you like, but maybe town safety first since I don't see Magister Raelee here anyway."

Speaking to Pietra, Telagan says, "Smaller number is probably ones she hasn't had t'replace."

Ycelacie says, "I am going to go hunt."

Leafiara adds, "Not that she's the only one who's been working on the bleakwalker issue, of course, but... the Hall had the most time to study you after your return."

Undercover Operations

Thadston twists his head slightly, cracking his neck. He looks relieved.

Speaking to Thadston, Ycelacie says, "Lucky it isn't you."

Speaking to Thadston, Ycelacie says, "With your no magic nonsense."

Raelee suddenly fades into view.

Raelee folds her arms over her chest.

Thadston says, "A lot has been occuring since...we last met."

Speaking amiably to Raelee, Leafiara says, "And there you are."

Speaking to Leafiara, Raelee says, "And here I have been."

Myharl deeply says, "Sorry, I was standing in the way."

Speaking to Leafiara, Hapenlok says, "You know, I think that was something that wasn't entirely made clear to me, Leafi, about the militia being hunted."

Speaking surprisedly to Hapenlok, Leafiara says, "I just said that not an hour ago. That's why many have gone into hiding."

Speaking to Leafiara, Hapenlok says, "Or maybe I'm just a bit dense, and still full of sand."

Thadston slowly empties his lungs.

Thadston says, "In the absence of a solid militia..."

Thadston says, "The Captains notwithstanding..."

Thadston nods at Shinann.

Thadston nods at Stormyrain.

Thadston says, "I've been doing my best while trying to...battle my bottle spirits...which I have done..."

Chandrellia softly asks, "Not withstanding what exactly?"

Thadston says, "But I've done my best to gather as much information as I can, and help some of our militia hide out or get away."

Leafiara gratefully says, "Thank you. We know you're here for us."

Leafiara says, "And everyone."

Thadston says, "But as you'll see increase rapidly over the next week I am sure...some factions have taken claim to areas of the town."

Speaking to Thadston, Kothos says, "Drawing back from an addiction that give you solace is the hardest battle to fight."

Cryheart says, "I think everyone should help to protect and defend the militia."

Speaking slowly to Thadston, Leafiara says, "...alright, lay it on us."

Faerinn says, "And only the militia is being hunted such? Not the guard."

Speaking to Thadston, Kothos says, "If I could offer help, I would. But I am thinking that it is a lonesome fight, too."

Thadston says, "I've had a map drawn. I'll get it distributed soon."

Speaking absently to Faerinn, Leafiara says, "Yeah, I was just musing over that with Hap earlier myself..."

Thadston says, "The guard has seen some conflicts yes. As hunted? no."

Faerinn nods at Thadston.

Speaking to Stormyrain, Hapenlok asks, "....I didn't melt my badge, did I?"

Thadston says, "The guard is undermanned."

Alvyara asks, "..should we have weapons out at all times? In town?"

Faerinn says, "That is an odd distinction the hunters are making."

Speaking deeply to Cryheart, Roelon says, "The LDI ah believe offered their own establishment as ah place fotr the Milithia to use in the mean time."

Speaking to Hapenlok, Stormyrain says, "I'm quite certain I have it somewhere."

Cryheart says, "Good." [to Roelon]

Lylia says, "It always has been. Too many believe they stand to gain more by joining forces with the Rooks instead."

Berost deeply says, "Which factions where ... I be about done wit folks claimin they have tha interests o' tha town at heart."

Kiwoeachi asks, "What are the Rooks offering?"

Leafiara muses, "I suppose we don't have a guard barracks, as it were... a bit of a shame."

Thadston says, "There's four main factions who had laid some claim to territory in the streets."

Speaking to Kiwoeachi, Faerinn says, "Feathers."

Chandrellia softly asks, "Four?"

Speaking to Faerinn, Kiwoeachi asks, "Oh? Pretty ones?"

Leafiara slowly guesses, "Okay, so... the Rooks, the Knaves, the Rones, and--the Lich King's men?"

Diamondelille says, "That lots."

Thadston says, "Rooks. Lich King. Knave. Blood Son's cultists."

Leafiara says, "Ahh, of course."

Chandrellia softly says, "Oh this is great, so the Landing is going to turn into a turf war."

Faerinn says, "Yeah, I didn't think there was a Rone's faction."

Diamondelille says, "Even more lots."

Kiwoeachi says, "Turf wars are great."

Cryheart says, "It hae already."

Speaking to Faerinn, Leafiara says, "There was one before, but seemingly short-lived." [going back to 5118, but nothing with the subsequent Rones; however, the current Rone threatened to come after Leafi with a group, hence her line of thinking here]

Bristenn noncommittally comments, "Ah, right. Your lich king's reanimated somehow. I do apologize for not fully finishing that job."

Faerinn says, "Rone has been out at sea. So I hear."

Speaking to Bristenn, Guarrin says, "See. Like I said. Nothing exciting."

Speaking to Chandrellia, Telagan says, "Already has, goin' by a few weeks ago."

Speaking softly to Kiwoeachi, Chandrellia says, "Sure till innoncent lives get between them and they don't care."

Kiwoeachi asks, "Basically bunch of gangs fighting each other while the mayor tries to levy power to prevent bloodshed?"

Speaking to Telagan, Pietra says, "Or even longer."

Speaking to Bristenn, Hapenlok says, "Well. Funny story that....I may have kind of ....gotten bored and helped fix his phylactery one night."

Leafiara asks, "One priority at a time... which has been causing the most damage?"

Leafiara says, "It's hard to imagine anyone outdoing the Knave and the barracks destruction."

Skydream whispers something to Kiwoeachi.

Leafiara adds, "Not that I wouldn't kill Vlashandra on sight if I had the chance, either."

Chandrellia softly says, "And the Rooks only reacted when the Knaves started their issues."

Lylia says, "Killing Vlashandra is pointless, albeit satisfying in the short term."

Thadston says, "Rone has not been spotted since the night of the barracks destruction."

Thadston says, "He's likely dead."

Speaking softly to Lylia, Chandrellia says, "I can live with short term."

Speaking affably to Lylia, Leafiara says, "Good enough for me."

Myharl deeply says, "What about the fifth group? Thadston's Regulars. We deny all false claims upon the Landing, and stand as a united community pillar."

Thadston says, "The Knave has taken the most territory the quickest."

Speaking to Thadston, Leafiara asks, "No, hold on--if Rone were dead then someone should have turned up with the gauntlets, no?"

Kiwoeachi says, "Chaos is great."

Thadston shrugs at Leafiara.

Guarrin mutters, "Not really surprising."

Speaking to Alvyara, Kothos asks, "What would you do with her?"

Speaking to Leafiara, Shinann says, "Not if they wanted to keep them."

Leafiara dubiously says, "I don't think Rone's dead. I suppose time will tell."

Speaking to Alvyara, Kothos asks, "If her fate were in your hands?"

Speaking to Kothos, Alvyara says, "I would see her put in jail for the rest of her life."

Kiwoeachi says, "I've seen bodies rain from the sky, war in the streets seems familiar at this point."

Thadston says, "Then perhaps wounded and hiding."

Bristenn neutrally ventures, "Has the government here yet petitioned the sentinel's outpost for support, or does that remain out of the question?"

Thadston says, "Waiting to outlive the bounty."

Chandrellia softly asks, "Has anyone heard from Mother thru all this?"

Speaking to Thadston, Pietra asks, "And do the Knaves still align with the Rooks at times?"

Speaking to Shinann, Leafiara acknowledges, "Maybe, but... they'd be an invaluable tool right now to either protect oneself or even sell to the highest bidder."

Thadston begins chuckling at Bristenn!

Thadston asks, "What would you have them do?"

Thadston peers quizzically at Bristenn.

Lylia says, "'Rone' has never been an individual, at least not for a few centuries. There will be another 'Rone' to supplant this one."

Speaking to Kothos, Alvyara says, "And everyone whose lives were affected by her actions could come see that she was imprisoned."

Speaking to Bristenn, Guarrin says, "They've provided aid during some of the battles."

Hapenlok says, "Well, a good old fashioned battle for turf, haven't been in one of those since I owned my own ship."

Bristenn shrugs nonchalantly at Thadston.

Thadston looks over at Pietra and shakes his head.

Speaking to himself, Guarrin mutters, "Battles. Skirmishes at best."

Thadston says, "The Knave's men and the Rooks are at war, the most fierce of all."

Speaking to Thadston, Pietra says, "If you say so."

Leafiara asks, "The Knave's group seems to have the best resources. Who's got the least--the Lich King?"

Thrassus says, "Just wait until they are in the thick of fighting and clear both out at once."

Speaking to Thadston, Bristenn confesses, "Were it my decision, certainly reinforcing the militia and guard and assisting in restoring order to the streets."

Thadston says, "The Blood Son's cultists are beginning to gather more in town near the Brass Tower and surrounding area. Not as lage as a threat."

Speaking to Alvyara, Kothos says, "Always the healer."

Cryheart says, "Perhaps we lock the leaders in one room together."

Speaking softly to Leafiara, Chandrellia says, "We don't know seeing as he has been quiet since his return, if he has been building then his forces are unknown."

Bristenn simply adds, "The continued survival of this settlement's government is priority for the stability of the protectorate."

Hapenlok says, "Let me explain something, Leafi. the Lich King can augment his forces with the ones who die in the other battles."

Speaking to Chandrellia, Leafiara agrees, "True."

Kiwoeachi says, "Perhaps the age of chaos will finally return."

Thadston says, "The Lich King has had some of his goons seen more around western part of town."

Faerinn asks, "Has the Lich's crew done anything yet?"

Leafiara asks, "To Hapenlok's point, are his goons undead or living?"

Thadston says, "No. Nothing outlandish, just growing more bold."

Kothos says, "Vlashandra is somewhere in between."

Speaking quietly to Thadston, Wolfloner asks, "What do you view as the greatest threat?"

Hapenlok says, "Well, I'm sure it's a mix of those still....somewhat living who bent the knee when he was here before."

Kothos says, "Living, yes. Alive, well. Define it."

Thadston says, "I appreciate the concern Bristenn. But the more threads we weave of imperial ties to this town we'll end as the Barony of Darkstone by spring."

Hapenlok says, "And whatever undead he can raise up from the ground. Which is probably a lot, because we're still idiots who bury our dead."

Speaking to Thadston, Pietra says, "That sounds spooky and maybe a bit fun."

Leafiara mentioned, "Larsya already offered aid from soldiers regardless, if I remember right."

Bristenn lightly admits, "Understandable."

Thadston nods at Leafiara.

Faerinn says, "I would also like to see this issue stay as in town as possible."

Hapenlok says, "But honestly, I've owed the Knave for what he did to me in front of the Barracks."

Cryheart says, "I am concerned regarding the influence this Amos may hae over the lady Larsya."

Dergoatean says, "Well now that's a lot of faces I haven't seen in a while."

Balley softly asks, "Just a thought, do you think someone is plotting and setting all these actions? Or doing things to set off all the groups to create chaos? Or is it just a chance that they are happening at the same time?"

Thadston says, "The Knave's territory is larger. Most of the northern side and bleeding south."

Speaking absently to Lylia, Kothos says, "Your family's blend has the cinnamon and currant tones to it."

Thadston says, "The Rooks most of the south, and a segment to the east."

Speaking to Cryheart, Guarrin says, "A concern, surely, but perhaps not completely related to fight over territory."

Mapping It Out

Thadston glances over at Leafiara's desk.

Speaking to Thadston, Hapenlok asks, "Where's most of the fighting? Above ground? Below? Both?"

Thadston snatches a map of Wehnimer's Landing and begins to scribble on it.

Leafiara musingly says, "Hmm. That's about as expected for areas, given Shanty Town and the former barracks..."

Hapenlok says, "I mean, I have to admit, I haven't really seen a whole lot going up north. And I was standing in front of the barracks."

Speaking to Kothos, Pietra says, "You sure do like her tea, fella."

Berost deeply says, "Talk to Roblar, ask ta use part o' Helden as staging for the north side. Knaves by me home..."

Thadston pins the map of Wehnimer's Landing to the oversized placard in the office. He points to a few blocks he drew and names he scribbled. "Lich King. Knave. Rooks. Blood Son."

Berost deeply says, "Wif no barrack up there..."

(OOC) Thadston's player whispers to the group, "Https://gswiki.play.net/A_Knight_To_Remember#Villain_Factions_of_Landing_Streets."

Lylia says, "It is very fine tea."

Thadston nods.

(OOC) Jara's player whispers to the group, "Thank you!"

(OOC) Pietra's player whispers to the group, "THANK you for that."

Speaking to Pietra, Kothos says, "I believe in sharing praise, yes."

(OOC) Lylia's player whispers to the group, "Oh, excellent! Thank you!"

Faerinn says, "If we could get Amos' whereabouts corroborated on the night of the Barracks attack we could at least cross him off the list as possible Knaves."

Goldstr whispers to the group, "Very nice."

Leafiara says, "Hmm, given the territory... it's a wonder the Rooks are managing to hold that northeast area while isolated."

Speaking to Thadston, Dergoatean says, "We should be able to clear that all up by lunch."

Berost deeply says, "None o' them near me shop. Good."

Thadston says, "Tunnels." [I think this might have been to Hapenlok's question about where the fighting's been, but not sure]

Thadston shrugs.

(OOC) Chandrellia's player whispers to the group, "That will be very helpful!"

(OOC) Xorus's player whispers to the group, "West si-iiiide!"

Alvyara asks, "Have we lost control of all the docks?"

Thadston begins chuckling at Dergoatean!

(OOC) Zosopage's player whispers to the group, "Will that come up on picture window?"

Speaking to Leafiara, Telagan says, "Perhaps weakness in the blood sons to not move northeast."

Hapenlok says, "That's where I'll be." (the Knave area)

(OOC) Pietra's player whispers to the group, "East side!"

Leafiara says, "The Lich King... if he's still after Lich's Landing, I suppose that area makes sense..."

Berost deeply says, "Between tha warrior guild an Helden we kin patrol the north if what militia is left is there ta do it."

Faerinn says, "I'm still very confident in my intuition. Stephos is the Knave."

(OOC) Kothos's player whispers to the group, "If there's going to be a breakaway pop hit then Kothos is definitely on that side."

Chandrellia softly says, "Well he can't have it till he talks to me, I still hold the deed, all offical and stuff."

Speaking to Leafiara, Dergoatean says, "I would've expected him to go after all of Town Square, knowing how he has his place set up down below."

Speaking to Stormyrain, Hapenlok says, "Well, Cap'n....."

Thadston says, "So we'll need to begin to discuss some...strategies to rebuild some defense. Re-arm the militia. Begin to turn the battle against these fools."

Speaking to Dergoatean, Leafiara says, "Based on the map, he's getting pretty close to it."

Balley softly says, "Faerinn I agree with you there."

Thadston says, "Luckily none of them are working together, so we have that to our advantage."

Alvyara says, "...yet."

Speaking softly to Thadston, Chandrellia says, "That we klnow of."

Shinann says, "That we know of."

Speaking to Thadston, Pietra asks, "So we don't 'like' any of these factions, hrm?"

Faerinn says, "So only the militia is being hunted. That is a strange challenge."

Thadston says, "But we'll need to be careful not to focus so heavily on one, to then turn around and be bit by another one. Or two."

Speaking softly to Thadston, Chandrellia says, "If two have made an alliance but feel they need to wait for the right, oppotunity."

Faerinn says, "I assume just by the Knave."

Speaking to Stormyrain, Hapenlok says, "I suppose, if it's all the same to you....you might want to swear me in. Again."

Thadston nods at Pietra.

Wendill says, "Always glad to lend a hand."

Thadston says, "We're going to kill them all. Yes."

Cryheart asks, "We hae enough guards to keep an open eye on those different zones?"

Thadston nods at Pietra.

Speaking to Hapenlok, Stormyrain says, "I cannot. I am not the Marshal."

Leafiara speculates, "The militia is probably being viewed as a sort of fifth faction, hence... being driven away by all sides."

Xorus whispers something to Lylia.

Speaking to Stormyrain, Hapenlok says, "Quite correct."

Dergoatean exclaims, "Bloodlust! Vigilante justice! Carnage!"

Kiwoeachi says, "I think Thad was right tho, there's no way you can find enough to cover all that ground and still be effective."

Leafiara says, "But I do agree it's odd that even the Knave's group is splitting resources that way."

Speaking to Thadston, Pietra asks, "Ahhh, good luck then. You, the drunkard with the icky magic body invader is who we should believe?"

Dergoatean says, "All hallmarks of a liberal democracy."

Thadston says, "I am not a drunkard."

Speaking offhandedly to Pietra, Leafiara says, "We're working on fixing that, thankfully now with his blessing, finally."

Speaking darkly to Thadston, Wolfloner asks, "You cannot let go of this obsession with the Rooks can you?"

Speaking to Leafiara, Telagan says, "Despite differences, militia would be the common enemy of all of them."

Speaking to Hapenlok, Stormyrain offers, "He is not the Marshal, either. Yet."

Thadston says, "I drank to quiet the bleakwalker's voice."

Speaking softly to Thadston, Chandrellia says, "Its to know that now."

Speaking to Dergoatean, Kiwoeachi says, "Actually, sounds like the markings of capitalism."

Speaking to Telagan, Leafiara agrees, "Exactly that too."

Speaking to Thadston, Pietra says, "And did a LOT of damage in the process."

Speaking to Dergoatean, Kiwoeachi says, "Nothing breeds violence like greed."

Kothos says, "Violence is the voice of the unheard."

Thadston says, "Now she is more quiet since I have pushed away Casi and promised to carve out the heart and tongue of every woman who is close to me before my day's are done."

Thadston smirks.

Kiwoeachi says, "Violence is not a voice, it's an act."

Thadston says, "...she's a mean one, that bleaker."

Speaking surprisedly to Thadston, Leafiara says, "Interesting."

Alvyara says, "Jealous, it seems."

Speaking to Thadston, Kothos says, "Mhm."

Speaking to Kothos, Dergoatean says, "We heard from Chaston, Barnom, and Drangell MORE than enough."

Pietra whispers something to Wolfloner.

Wolfloner darkly asks, "Perhaps if he fell upon his sword, the bleakwalker's voice would be silenced forever?"

Speaking to Thadston, Lylia says, "Do not speak of her so, or I might start to like her, however reluctantly."

Speaking to Dergoatean, Kothos says, "The first burned Her Temple with most of the Order in it. Yes, I recall that."

Speaking curiously to Thadston, Leafiara asks, "I was concerned the bleakwalker was growing progressively stronger, but is that not the case, then?"

Speaking to herself, Stormyrain mutters, "At least it's a short list."

Thadston says, "It depends."

Thadston shrugs at Leafiara.

Thadston says, "It has not been easy these last few weeks."

Chandrellia softly asks, "Has anyone heard anything of goings on with Stone?"

Leafiara nods slowly at Thadston.

Cryheart says, "I can imagine."

Speaking to himself, Guarrin mutters, "If the Knaves have the upper hand, then perhaps they should be our focus for now. Followed by the Rooks."

Thadston says, "A lot of solitude. A lot of...violent dreams and tendencies."

Stormyrain asks, "Besides his followers trying to take over the town?"

Leafiara says, "Ah, so it does have influence even in sleep... I was afraid of that."

Speaking to Stormyrain, Hapenlok says, "Be a lot easier to draw out my prey if I looked like the hunted, though."

Speaking to Guarrin, Telagan says, "Takin' the Knaves leaves the biggest power vacuum - it invites more chaos.."

Thadston says, "I am quite confident I am not fit to lead any new militia."

Jara whispers something to Chandrellia.

Speaking softly to Stormyrain, Chandrellia says, "Besides that."

Hapenlok says, "But either way...."

Thadston says, "But I am quite confident I am fit for war."

Speaking to Dergoatean, Pietra asks, "Can you just blast that thing out of him so we know what we're dealing with already?"

Faerinn says, "Bait the Rooks and Knaves into a underground conflict then gas the sewers."

Pietra says, "Ooops, inside voice, Pie."

Leafiara says, "Right now, that seems exactly what we need regardless."

Speaking to Cryheart, Guarrin says, "As far as arming the militia goes. We can hit the forges."

Speaking to Guarrin, Kothos asks, "Would the Gryphons be able to intervene, for the militia?"

Bristenn neutrally ventures, "And the nature of the Lich King's forces, and his goals as warlord?"

Speaking to Faerinn, Hapenlok says, "It's been done. sort of."

Speaking to Thadston, Zosopage says, "We need your brawn more than your brain this time round I think."

Speaking to Kothos, Guarrin asks, "What did you have in mind?"

Thadston shrugs at Bristenn.

Thadston says, "Maybe he just wants your head."

Thadston nods at Bristenn.

Bristenn chuckles to himself.

Hapenlok says, "I tend to think the Slim just wants his old grounds back."

Bristenn pleasedly remarks, "Fair enough."

Speaking to Guarrin, Kothos says, "First, just what you said. To bolster their arms."

Hapenlok says, "The area formerly known as Lich's Landing."

Speaking softly to Thadston, Chandrellia says, "May I ask you a question, in your most professional opinon of course."

Hapenlok says, "I'm inclined to give it to him, then send it to another dimension once he's there."

Speaking in Faendryl, Lylia says something you don't understand.

Bristenn neutrally admits, "I suppose I should properly requisition leave from your mayor to operate freely in his conquered borough, then."

Speaking in Faendryl, Lylia says something you don't understand.

Kiwoeachi says, "I can just see Roblar now, riding atop a carriage pulled by grand horses, slaughtering all in his path."

Faerinn says, "The way to deal with the Knaves is to identify the Knave and cut off their resources, really."

Speaking to Kothos, Guarrin admits, "We do have some stores of weapons and the ability to forge more."

Speaking curiously to Thadston, Chandrellia asks, "Who in your opinon do you feel could benefit the most from this turf war?"

Speaking in Faendryl, Kothos says something you don't understand.

Thadston nods at Chandrellia.

Thadston turns an inquisitive ear toward Chandrellia.

Speaking in Faendryl, Kothos says something you don't understand.

Speaking in Faendryl, Xorus says something you don't understand.

Speaking to Faerinn, Umbazi asks, "So how do we identify the Knave?"

Thadston asks, "Who benefits?"

Speaking to Xorus, Kothos says, "That I understood."

Speaking in Faendryl, Dergoatean says something you don't understand.

Thadston says, "I think they all benefit in a way. I don't know if I understand."

Speaking to Umbazi, Faerinn says, "Follow the lead Khylon gave us."

Lylia explains, "Yes, I can translate. I was commenting on the idea of luring multiple factions into the tunnels and gassing them there. There is a kernel of a fine idea enclosed within."

Speaking to Umbazi, Faerinn says, "Khylon saw the Knave and recognized him."

Thadston clenches his jaw.

Thadston says, "Khylon..."

Thadston's entire body tenses as he clenches his fist.

Speaking to Umbazi, Faerinn says, "What's more Khylon was not shocked at whom the Knave was."

Lylia says, "Turning faction against faction would accomplish more than fighting them ourselves on multiple fronts."

Leafiara assures, "We'll avenge him."

Raelee whispers something to Lylia.

Speaking softly to Thadston, Chandrellia asks, "I just find it odd that well, the Lich King comes back, and a few weeks later the Blood Son, and Stone, then all of a sudden the Knave, I don't think this was coincidental, I think someone set this up, who would reap the benefits the most by this turf war?"

Speaking darkly to Lylia, Bakarus says, "Excellent idea."

Thadston asks, "Are you suggesting Stone?"

Thadston peers quizzically at Chandrellia.

Speaking to Faerinn, Umbazi says, "Yes, and that's all we know. That it's someone Khylon knew and apparently trusted."

Thadston says, "Because I doubt it."

Speaking to Umbazi, Faerinn says, "I didn't say trusted."

Speaking in Faendryl, Dergoatean says something you don't understand.

Speaking softly to Thadston, Chandrellia says, "I'm not suggesting anyone, I dont know the history enough, I'm still learning it."

Dergoatean says, "I, for one, always think Stone is behind it."

Speaking to Faerinn, Umbazi says, "Without knowing who he knew or trusted, that doesn't help much."

Speaking to Lylia, Guarrin says, "Agreed. Our forces seem stretched as is. Worth attempting though."

Zosopage says, "There are a few that would benefit. Trying to guess would only drive one nuts."

Thadston says, "A man with the Star of Khar'ta doesn't need bandit wars to accomplish his sick goals."

Hapenlok says, "I tell you one person who could possibly benefit."

Speaking to Umbazi, Faerinn says, "Khylon was not surprised this person was the Knave."

Thadston says, "Notice I said man."

Balley softly says, "I am not sure it is Stone, but too many things happening at once. All started by one act or another is highly suspicious."

Thadston says, "He fancies himself more than that."

Chandrellia softly says, "Thats why i am asking, to help myself see more."

Speaking to Thadston, Dergoatean says, "He really does like to play games, though."

Kiwoeachi says, "In war, information is the utmost importance."

Thadston says, "But he's just man with a small bottom nose."

Speaking darkly to Lylia, Bakarus says, "A mass killing. lots of birds with one stone."

Speaking to Dergoatean, Stormyrain offers, "He likes to play games that center him, this does not do that."

Pietra says, "My goodness you people are bloodthirsty."

Speaking to Stormyrain, Dergoatean says, "Is always Stone. Agree to disagree."

A Solid Proposal

Thadston says, "My guess is the Knave is Amos or Stephos or someone behind them with strings."

Thadston says, "My suggestion is we kill them both and see what happens."

Speaking to Thadston, Leafiara says, "Or both."

Speaking to Dergoatean, Stormyrain says, "I won't discount it completely because it could be a way to call more blood resources into the area, but this doesn't feel like Grishom to me, yet."

Thadston nods at Leafiara.

Speaking softly to Stormyrain, Chandrellia says, "If I may interject, if the end game puts him in the spotlight, then it would benefit him."

Speaking approvingly to Thadston, Leafiara says, "I like the way you think."

Xorus says, "I support this plan."

Speaking to Thadston, Leafiara agrees, "Let's do that."

Speaking to Thadston, Faerinn says, "And we can narrow that down."

Speaking to Thadston, Lylia says, "I would start with Stephos."

Umbazi asks, "So how do we prove it?"

Gherraltis asks, "Is this the meeting about getting a janitor dedicated to the cleanliness of the town center?" [heh, 18 days too early for that one]

Hapenlok says, "You know."

Myharl deeply says, "Point the way."

Thadston says, "If we bury them both and the Knave's faction falls apart..."

Thadston shrugs.

Cryheart says, "Just place them in the same cell."

Hapenlok asks, "You're all going to think I'm crazy?"

Thadston says, "No. We start with Amos."

Hapenlok says, "Well,"

Speaking to Lylia, Kothos says, "It seems to me, that your thougt would result in the least amount of collateral damage."

Hapenlok says, "Crazier than normal."

Speaking to Chandrellia, Stormyrain says, "But he prefers to be in the center of it all, always."

Kiwoeachi asks, "Should I watch out for random murderings?"

Bernadette softly says, "Naw."

Lylia nods at Thadston.

Thadston says, "Put him back in the pit he came from."

Leafiara says, "If we imprison them, we all know how this story ends because it keeps happening. They'll bribe their way out."

Shinann says, "I wish..."

Hapenlok says, "But honestly, this reeks of a Caulfield's plot."

Speaking to Gherraltis, Pietra says, "Might as well be."

Shinann says, "But, we cannot."

Speaking to Thadston, Telagan asks, "If we destroy the largest faction, do we not invite more chaos as the others rush to fill the sudden void?"

Zosopage asks, "Are we completely sure that Raznel is dead?"

Thadston peers quizzically at Hapenlok.

Speaking to Thadston, Faerinn says, "Amos said he was leaving town the night before to retrieve Thrayzar. If we can confirm he was really doing that then we can eliminate him as the Knave."

Thadston asks, "The girl Larsya?"

Speaking to Lylia, Kothos says, "Much as I loathe any of it. But our catacombs have never housed much but rats and shade."

Thadston peers quizzically at Hapenlok.

Hapenlok says, "No. her father."

Speaking to Leafiara, Umbazi says, "Or the judge won't sentence them to anything serious, or they'll escape."

Thadston asks, "Can we?"

Pietra recites:

"Does anyone actually KNOW anything?"

Thadston peers quizzically at Faerinn.

Leafiara says, "I think Amos gave himself an alibi by doing that."

Speaking to Kothos, Lylia says, "I spent a few years trying to minimize war and bloodshed in this town. It is a difficult habit to break."

Hapenlok says, "And i've got absolutely no way of proving this."

Leafiara says, "And is surrounding himself with potential guards by rallying Larsya to his side."

Gherraltis says, "I know the town needs more cleaning staff."

Speaking to Telagan, Dergoatean exclaims, "Perhaps if we provide a strong social safety net so others do not feel the need to organize into criminal enterptise!"

Gherraltis says, "But about Grishom Stone? Nope."

Thadston says, "I can send a Hendoran soldier to kill Guarrin while I sail to Kraken's Fall. Doesn't mean I didn't plan it all."

Speaking darkly to Pietra, Bakarus says, "There is to be a mass killing. soon."

Thadston says, "...and no. I'm not going to have you killed."

Leafiara says, "Amos' moves are very... calculated."

Thadston nods at Guarrin.

Thadston smirks.

Guarrin winks at Thadston.

Speaking to Thadston, Guarrin says, "Many have tried."

Leafiara says, "Speaking of Amos' moves, the Knave's territory is where he bought his bar..."

Speaking to Dergoatean, Telagan says, "I doubt they're going to go for swords-to-plowshares."

Speaking to Guarrin, Bristenn teases, "Not Hendorans, though."

Thadston says, "Amos is poison."

Speaking to Thadston, Faerinn says, "We'd have to back track to this Jantalaran slaver and find a reliable source to confirm."

Leafiara says, "So either he's in league with the Knave or is them."

Speaking wryly to Guarrin, Bristenn adds, "They fight a little harder than Jants, rather."

Speaking to Bakarus, Pietra says, "Thanks uhm, human man for clarifying exactly nothing."

Thadston says, "The man only knows greed and power."

Speaking to Thadston, Faerinn says, "Amos is likely still involved, but the Knave himself appeared before Khylon."

Raelee tiredly says, "Not everything is an Imperial plot to take over this town. At times, I think many of you vastly overestimate how much the Empire wants it."

Thadston says, "He should have died in the pit."

Speaking to Bristenn, Guarrin says, "You're not wrong."

Speaking to Thadston, Leafiara says, "Amos always claimed that one day he'd tell us a story about you that was true and you'd tell us a story about him that was false. He never got around to it, but even if he did, I think we know better at this point."

Speaking to Raelee, Dergoatean exclaims, "But everyone is mostly certainly Grishom Stone's fault!"

Dergoatean says, "...and everything."

Speaking to Raelee, Hapenlok says, "Well, it's not so much the entire Empire, just certain segments of it."

Thadston asks, "He did, did he?"

Thadston chuckles.

Leafiara says, "He did, yeah."

Leafiara says, "Always spoke of you like he had fond memories and you had... not-so-fond memories."

Leafiara smirks.

Speaking dryly to Dergoatean, Raelee asks, "Why not?"

Thadston says, "I can tell you the story."

Thadston says, "Both sides of it."

Pietra offers Thadston a dragon-etched bottle of scotch.

Leafiara affably says, "We're all ears."

Speaking to Thadston, Pietra asks, "Here, wanna drink?"

Thadston declines Pietra's offer.

Thadston glances at Pietra.

Thadston asks, "Really?"

Pietra appears to be trying hard not to grin.

Pietra exclaims, "Storytime!"

Pietra exclaims, "Drinks!"

Thadston glances at Pietra.

Thadston clenches his jaw.

Pietra smiles at Thadston.

Umbazi offers Thadston some vanilla ice cream sprinkled with rainbow-colored sugar.

Faerinn says, "You know we could just tell Stone that Amos has Thrayzar and let that work itself out."

Pietra says, "Okay now all of you can threaten to murder me all the time."

Speaking to Chaoswynd, Stormyrain asks, "Peach juice..is not my idea of a good drink?"

Free Philosophies

Speaking darkly to Leafiara, Wolfloner says, "Moving against the Rooks is a path I cannot follow. Do not forget Thadston is the man whose leadership led his own Outpost to near ruin with barely of a skeleton of his soldiers surviving. What he proposes is a path of similar destruction and weakens the Landing's defenses. The empire of the south has not been a protector but an aggressor."

Hapenlok says, "I'm going to once again strongly advise that Thrayzar be left to his own devices."

Speaking to Faerinn, Leafiara says, "You know, I was about to say we don't want Grishom learning that, but he probably already knows."

Pietra whispers something to Skydream.

Speaking darkly to Leafiara, Wolfloner says, "It is a fool's errand."

Speaking to Leafiara, Faerinn says, "Actually it's weird isn't it."

Leafiara says, "And speaking of calculated moves, Amos going for Thrayzar might well be... buying himself a bargaining chip. A sort of hostage."

Speaking to Leafiara, Faerinn says, "That Stone couldn't find Thrayzar."

Thadston begins chuckling at Wolfloner!

Speaking to Faerinn, Leafiara says, "Incredibly weird."

Speaking to Leafiara, Hapenlok asks, "And you know how I am about hostages, after what happened to you, right?"

Speaking dubiously to Hapenlok, Leafiara asks, "To me? When?"

Thadston says, "If you like the Rooks so bloody much, marry them already."

Thadston smirks at Wolfloner.

Speaking to Wolfloner, Dergoatean says, "Burned."

Speaking to Leafiara, Hapenlok says, "That small matter involving you and the original Rone."

Speaking to Thadston, Pietra says, "Sure you don't need a drink? You sound like a child."

Speaking slowly to Hapenlok, Leafiara says, "That was Lylia."

Lylia notes, "When the town is being carved up by criminal factions, worrying overly much about a distant southern empire may be a case of poorly chosen priorities."

Speaking to Leafiara, Faerinn asks, "When he was in Jantalar all along. I'm to believe Stone can't find an orc in Jantalar when Amos could?"

Thadston asks, "You realize if the might of the Empire wanted this wild land of a town, no street thieves in bird masks would stop it. Right?"

Guarrin muses, "Wonder what would draw all the factions to one location."

Thadston peers quizzically at Wolfloner.

Speaking to Faerinn, Leafiara says, "It does boggle the mind."

Speaking to Guarrin, Dergoatean says, "Cake."

Speaking to Leafiara Faerinn says, "I wonder if he's only omnipotent here."

Speaking to Dergoatean, Pietra asks, "Where?"

Kiwoeachi says, "Tomatoes."

Kothos says, "Some other forces might give them pause, but I doubt those would be much welcome, either."

Thadston says, "Killing Rooks isn't keeping the town free from the Empire. It's keeping the town free from...the Rooks."

Wolfloner darkly says, "At least the Rooks are free Thadston. I would think you would have embraced the freedom of the Landing versus the chains of feudalism."

Speaking in Faendryl, Kothos says something you don't understand.

Thadston says, "Free."

Speaking to Dergoatean, Zosopage says, "I hope it was rum cake."

Thadston says, "If you hide behind a mask and dance in tunnels..."

Thadston asks, "Are you free?"

Speaking to Zosopage, Dergoatean says, "Naturally."

Kiwoeachi says, "There's gold in them there hills."

Speaking to Thadston, Hapenlok says, "No, but if a certain person wanted to proclaim his hands being clean, and him needing to take over our town to clean up our mess....this seems like the kind of situation that would be created."

Thadston says, "I walk in the streets. I don't skip along rooftops."

Wolfloner darkly says, "Freedom is a concept you have no concept of Thadston. You should not speak of it."

Speaking to Guarrin, Leafiara says, "Common ground, but... what do any of them have in common? Slim wants Lich's Landing, the Knave wants the entire region, the Rooks want just the town. The Blood Son people probably think they want nothing, but since they're backing Grishom they're ultimately after the world."

Speaking in Faendryl, Kothos says something you don't understand.

Faerinn says, "Free Rooks with purchase of equal or lesser knave."

Goldstr says, "As I always say Only good Rook be a dead Rook."

Thadston says, "I'm free to throw you out this window right now."

Thadston shrugs.

Speaking to Thadston, Pietra says, "Yes, that is freedom. Not your style, because you need all the attention." The mirror images surrounding Yakushi undulate and grow stronger.

Kiwoeachi says, "It's a huge port city that intersects multiple cities."

Wolfloner darkly says, "Go ahead and try."

Speaking to Kiwoeachi, Gherraltis says, "Eureka! Yar, ye be right."

Speaking to Thadston, Pietra says, "But that is freedom."

Thadston glances at Leafiara.

Thadston glances at Stormyrain.

Speaking to Lylia, Kothos asks, "Did I get that tense right? Mowed, harvested?"

Thadston glances at Shinann.

Leafiara tilts her head at Thadston.

Myharl deeply says, "There goes another window...."

Kiwoeachi says, "Surprised it's not littered with pirates."

Lylia sardonically remarks, "Free to live the life of a beetle-grub, toiling in a tunnel and eating away at the structure of what stands above you."

Speaking to Thadston, Hapenlok says, "And honestly, that's the kind of person who's running the Barony of Bourth. I wouldn't put it past him."

Cryheart says, "The Empire is nae the threat...but the four factions trying to corner the market of whatever they plan."

Chandrellia softly asks, "Fellas, we are to come to terms and a strategy for the town, we can bicker about factions later please?"

Bristenn distractedly muses, "Beetle-grub. I like that."

Shinann says, "No, you are not free to do that. Not without consequences."

Kiwoeachi says, "Also there's that whole center of some enormous dark power."

Speaking simply to Lylia, Bristenn remarks, "I am requisitioning that jape."

Speaking to Chandrellia, Pietra says, "The factions ARE the issue here."

Umbazi says, "How many factions are there now? Rooks, Rones, Knaves..."

Alvyara mumbles, "I'm going to need a strategy for getting to bed soon."

Leafiara reiterates, "Based on what the Magister said, the Knave's group is after the entire region, not just the town--in the long run, sure."

Speaking to Bristenn, Lylia says, "My royalty fees are modest."

Speaking to Alvyara, Kiwoeachi says, "Ask a wizard."

Cryheart says, "Lich King."

Speaking to Leafiara, Guarrin says, "I imagine the militia seems like the target they all may find interesting."

Speaking to Umbazi, Leafiara says, "No Rones. Rooks, Knave, Lich King, Blood Son."

Speaking to Alvyara, Kothos says, "I am thinking a quick withdrawal."

Speaking to Umbazi, Dergoatean says, "And people who think the scarab belongs to the customer."

Speaking slyly to Lylia, Bristenn counters, "Such is fine, I have coin."

Speaking softly to Pietra, Chandrellia says, "Yes, ok, well, the personal feelings of such I guess...."

Hapenlok says, "Honestly. You lot can piss about and fight over nothing. I'm going to the north, and I'm going to start to fight back. I'm also going to start cleaning up the wreckage at the barracks."

Guarrin says, "At least several of them."

Speaking to Alvyara, Kiwoeachi says, "There's a spell for that."

Faerinn says, "I was hoping to hear more about Amos."

Speaking in Faendryl to Kothos, Lylia says something you don't understand.

Speaking curiously to Guarrin, Leafiara asks, "Proposing bait then?"

Speaking to Alvyara, Kothos says, "Followed by a redirection of remaining energy."

Kiwoeachi says, "I've got some bait."

Umbazi says, "Does the Lich King count? He hasn't done anything since returning, and that was months ago."

Bakarus darkly says, "Mass slaughter does solve some of the issue."

Speaking to Umbazi, Leafiara says, "He's just recently taken ground on the west side of the town."

Speaking to Kothos, Alvyara asks, "Going to brush your teeth, are you?"

Speaking to Chandrellia, Pietra says, "All of life and politics, love and war is personal feelings. No matter how folks want to dress it up and put suits on it."

Speaking to Leafiara, Guarrin says, "If Lylia's plan to fight them all, while they're after each other...selecting the field has value."

Faerinn says, "That could really tell us what kind of man he is. Though I can guess considering he threw a tantrum at a child's birthday party."

Speaking in Faendryl, Dergoatean says something you don't understand.

Kiwoeachi says, "Only thing that matters is wealth."

Speaking to Alvyara, Kothos says, "Bad breath is an Ivasian fumble, certainly."

Past Tales

Thadston slowly empties his lungs.

Speaking softly to Leafiara, Chandrellia says, "So as it stands now we can expect an uprising from one faction at any given time or just a mass turf war with no warning."

Thadston says, "I was once long ago called the Cobbler Knight."

Speaking to Kothos, Alvyara says, "I've heard something like that before."

Zosopage says, "Somehow, the 4 factions need to be drawn together to fight the real threat, whatever that may be."

Speaking to Thadston, Goldstr asks, "When we rebuild da barracks?"

Thadston says, "I am sure some of you have heard that tale."

Kiwoeachi says, "If you're super rich, none of the poor people squabbling over scraps bothers you."

Speaking in Faendryl to Dergoatean, Lylia says something you don't understand.

Speaking to Guarrin, Leafiara says, "...but they're already after each other. And their territory is too large to lure all of them into one place."

Speaking to Kothos, Alvyara says, "In fact someone we know refuses to drink coffee because of it."

Kiwoeachi says, "It's our problem because we're too poor."

Speaking to Thadston, Pietra says, "Oh yeah, you were going to tell us stories."

Lylia asks, "Cobbler Knight?"

Shinann says, "I have not heard it."

Bristenn simply remarks, "And you won your way to Llaestal's Guard."

Speaking to Leafiara, Hapenlok says, "Oh, by the way. I misunderstood you, when you said in hiding, I figured, they stood down."

Umbazi says, "No, I've never heard that."

Speaking to Leafiara, Hapenlok says, "It didn't sink in until way later."

Speaking to Hapenlok, Leafiara says, "Ahhh. Yeah, I could have been more clear on that too."

Thadston nods at Bristenn.

Bristenn reassuringly adds, "Often enough the names you earn in your wilder years are but envious snipes."

Speaking to Bristenn, Umbazi asks, "Who's Llaestal?"

Thadston says, "It's an old tale. I shared it long ago."

Hapenlok says, "Well, I suppose it's not useful right now to discuss my funding the construction of the new barracks, according to what was drawn on this map."

Speaking to Bristenn, Telagan asks, "Oh, and what was yours?"

Faerinn says, "They have a habit of sticking though."

(OOC) Thadston's player whispers to the group, "Https://gswiki.play.net/Thadston_Andrews."

Speaking to Umbazi, Guarrin says, "Anodheles, I believe."

Speaking to Kiwoeachi, Gherraltis says, "You should calm down a sec."

Gherraltis says, "I'm sure the dancing will be later."

Thadston says, "In Lolle.."

Speaking to Gherraltis, Pietra asks, "Oooh, yeah?"

(OOC) Chandrellia's player whispers to the group, "Already got it up, have it bookmarked, been reading up on Thadston since the beginning of this."

Bristenn simply explains, "One of the Anodheles and other highborn who defeated the ice queen and liberated the Broken Kingdom."

Thadston says, "After I married Saraphene I battled my own spirits."

Speaking wryly to Telagan, Bristenn adds, "And there's been a few, to be fair."

Xorus says, "Alas, poor Issyldra."

Kiwoeachi says, "Hi."

(OOC) Pietra's player whispers to the group, "Thanks again, Kenstroms!"

(OOC) Kiwoeachi's player whispers to the group, "I nominated myself for Frost Queen."

(OOC) Telagan's player whispers to the group, "Why does this page end with 'And then they all die.'?"

Shinann glances at a crisp ivory parchment.

(OOC) Pietra's player whispers to the group, "Welcome to GemStone!"

(OOC) Lylia's player whispers to the group, "Technically, that's how everything ends."

Shinann glances at Leafiara.

Speaking to Alvyara, Kothos asks, "Ready to draw this to a close, my dear?"

Shinann points at a crisp ivory parchment.

Thadston says, "Before the Llaestal's Guard I took on protection work."

(OOC) Jara's player whispers to the group, "Ha ha."

Speaking to Shinann, Leafiara explains, "Evidence."

Shinann says, "I see."

Thadston says, "Mercenary work, in a more fancy way, in Lolle."

Speaking to Shinann, Leafiara says, "That was the Rone bounty the Knave issued several weeks ago."

Shinann nods at Leafiara.

Speaking to Kothos, Alvyara exclaims, "Oh!"

Speaking to Kothos, Alvyara says, "Yes."

Thadston says, "Since my drinking is no secret to you all now..."

Speaking to Shinann, Leafiara says, "Keeping it for the handwriting on the off-chance he was fool enough to write it himself."

Thadston says, "I had problems then too."

Kiwoeachi says, "Hmm."

Speaking to Thadston, Hapenlok says, "Don't let anyone tell you that mercenary work is low. ...it keeps one fed, clothed and domiciled."

Thadston says, "It drove away my wife and she took Disean with her."

Hapenlok adds, "Most of the time."

Thadston says, "Because of my..."

Thadston clenches his jaw.

Thadston says, "Issue..."

Kothos whispers something to Lylia.

Speaking to Thadston, Pietra asks, "This was just the drinking issue, not this new body inhabitant issue, correct?"

Lylia whispers something to Kothos.

Thadston says, "One of the clients we were protecting nearly got killed. I left part of our hired mercenary help behind."

Thadston nods at Pietra.

Thadston says, "Amos was part of them."

Shinann says, "Hmm."

Shinann asks, "Why has he not told us, I wonder?"

Thadston says, "He was thrown in a lion's pit by our client. He was thought to be me. They were going to punish him, and enjoy, sitting in their piles of gold and treasure and watch Amos get eaten by lions."

Leafiara wryly says, "He's not exactly the most generous with information."

Thadston says, "But Amos broke his chains, killed some of the lions, climbed out of the pit and killed the client and almost everyone in attendance. He left a few to bear witness. He took their wealth."

Thadston says, "Thus Amos the Lion was born."

Thadston says, "And he should go back in a pit."

Leafiara understandingly says, "Ahh. Makes sense."

Dergoatean asks, "Hm, one story that is false, he said?"

Speaking to Thadston, Faerinn says, "So we need to get rid of the Knave. That's Amos or Stephos. I'm fine with bringing them both in."

Faerinn says, "And if something happens during the arrest..."

Faerinn says, "No big loss."

Thadston says, "He expected me not to tell you I was a drunkard and abandoned my group. Leaving Amos to die and take my place."

Stormyrain slowly asks, "He should go back in the pit for..surviving being captured and thrown into a lion's pit because of your drinking?"

Thadston says, "But I have no shame in telling you."

Bristenn slowly reasons, "Curious use of that specific charge."

Stormyrain raises an eyebrow in Thadston's direction.

Speaking softly to Thadston, Chandrellia says, "So what is the other side of the story? You said you could tell both."

(OOC) Hapenlok's player whispers to the group, "Quick story point: what area did Amos say he was from? Hapenlok would know this, but the player's brain is broken."

Lylia says, "'The Lion' is a nobler-sounding name than 'The Cobbler Knight,' but yes -- he is a bestial man, and therefore lower than a cobbler. I am sure he does not see it that way, though, and wears his own name proudly as though it were a mark of distinction."

Speaking to Stormyrain, Pietra says, "You have a way with words."

Thadston says, "I did not speak openly for my struggle. I left out my fault in the entire situation."

Speaking to Bristenn, Guarrin says, "Strength. It makes sense."

Thadston says, "Amos likely spoke to you, thinking I would withhold that information again."

Speaking wryly to Guarrin, Bristenn replies, "Others prefer the roar."

Thadston says, "And claim it false."

Leafiara says, "He does tend to make a lot of faulty assumptions about our town or people."

Faerinn says, "I thought he was called the lion because he can't bathe himself and had to hire sister-wife spies to help him."

Speaking to Thadston, Lylia says, "He was speaking of the man he knew, not the man you are now."

Hapenlok says, "You know, someting that drew my suspicion about Amos, was when he mentioned having lived in Highmount, I believe Kragsfell it was."

Umbazi says, "I just thought that he made up a name that sounded good."

Thadston nods at Stormyrain.

Stormyrain can offer Thadston only a blank expression.

Hapenlok says, "History hadn't been kind to his kin, up there."

Thadston says, "Because I left Amos behind does not make him a good man."

Lylia says, "Yes, no one ever calls himself The Cave Worm."

Umbazi says, "Amos did not impress me."

Leafiara says, "Short of being the Knave, I see no reason why he moved here--he's openly looked down on our manners and way of life."

Myharl deeply says, "We do often create our own monsters, both in the figurative sense and the literal."

Speaking to Thadston, Stormyrain asks, "Then tell that part. Why do you think he's not a good man?"

Lylia admits, "Although...no, no."

Thadston says, "He is greedy. He will drain everything around him. He has before."

Zosopage says, "I thought he was called lion cause of his hair."

Hapenlok says, "I kind of found myself wondering if that hadn't been a reason for him to come here and start trouble."

Hapenlok says, "....but now, you tell me this tale."

Umbazi says, "He struck me as manipulative, greedy and prone to think that everyone in the world is as corrupt as he is."

Faerinn says, "He wants to gentrify shanty town."

Thadston says, "He reminds me very much of Drangell, in some ways."

Speaking curiously to Thadston, Leafiara asks, "So something like... a roving merchant who wrings wealth from a town and then moves to the next?"

Speaking softly to Leafiara, Chandrellia says, "In my defense, I never liked Amos from the start."

Faerinn says, "Which is a territory the Knave has not managed to take yet."

Thadston says, "But he is focused. He is not chaos. He wants order, but his order."

Umbazi says, "I don't know where he expects the poor to live when their houses are torn down and the rich have moved in."

Speaking to Thadston, Lylia says, "I saw it too. Bestial. Coarse."

Thadston says, "His profits. His power."

Speaking to Umbazi, Faerinn says, "I don't think he cares."

Goldstr says, "Sounds jess lie Stone."

Leafiara confesses, "I admit, at first I liked Amos since we share a love of hunting."

Speaking to Thadston, Hapenlok says, "You know, it's not an attitude that I'm entirely unsympathetic to."

Guarrin says, "Seems he'd have the coin and connections to hire enough mercenaries."

Bristenn offhandedly comments, "Probably stature as well."

Thadston says, "He is a hunter."

Thadston says, "But not in only the traditional sense."

Leafiara says, "But yes, he's very... he comes across as someone who wants unchallenged authority."

Thadston says, "We are all prey, in some way or another."

Stormyrain asks, "If you will all excuse me?"

Faerinn says, "So he choose the lion. The laziest of male hunters."

Speaking softly to Leafiara, Chandrellia asks, "Is there any way to cut off his ships from entering the ports here? Perhaps start to cut off his, investments and not allow him to continue to keep supplies for his movement?"

Speaking to Leafiara, Pietra asks, "That was the guy with the wagon full of lions?"

Thadston nods at Stormyrain.

Speaking to Thadston, Zosopage says, "And the hunter."

Lylia whispers something to Xorus.

Leafiara says, "Cage full of four-armed ogres."

Leafiara nods at Pietra.

Speaking to Chandrellia, Hapenlok says, "Yeah. We put to sea, and sink every last one of them."

Speaking to Faerinn, Umbazi says, "I was wondering whether he knew but did not care or simply hadn't thought about it because it doesn't concern him. Two different kinds of evil--the unfeeling and the unthinking."

Speaking softly to Hapenlok, Chandrellia says, "That's my idea too."

Thadston nods at Stormyrain.

Stormyrain says, "Merry eve, all."

Hapenlok says, "I'm not above a little piracy. Since I don't like the man."

Speaking to Leafiara, Pietra says, "Well, fierce but really icky."

Faerinn says, "He knows more about the acid pylons that he is letting on."

Hapenlok says, "I spent too much time in the damn desert."

Hapenlok says, "I'd rather be at sea."

Faerinn says, "If he truly has such a monopoly on them that should be enough to bring him in."

Parting Shots

Thadston says, "The hour is late. I may look like a myth, but I am still a man."

Thadston says, "...and this bleak bi...witch is exhausting."

Thadston says, "We haven't had a chance to discuss her."

Speaking to Thadston, Hapenlok says, "You know, I originally figured that he had some sort of axe to grind due to being from Kragsfell, with his peoples' history there."

Cryheart says, "Rest well."

Thadston asks, "Perhaps another story this week then, yes?"

Leafiara says, "Either he has full control of the pylon market and is a threat, or he doesn't have that control and whoever's using the acid ones is a threat to him. I'm inclined to think the former."

Faerinn says, "Another nice evasion there."

Speaking to Thadston, Goldstr says, "An ye be still a true Knight."

Lylia says, "No, and I would very much like to."

Speaking to Thadston, Zosopage says, "Be well."

Speaking to Thadston, Hapenlok says, "....then I heard your tale....and it makes more sense now."

Speaking to Thadston, Leafiara agrees, "We will soon."

Umbazi says, "Take care, Thadston."

Speaking to Thadston, Hapenlok says, "Kind of makes me want to kill him even more."

Speaking to Thadston, Leafiara says, "You've brought us valuable information, thank you."

Shinann says, "Yes. I will patrol all those areas."

Speaking to Dergoatean, Pietra says, "Thanks for the ale."

Thadston says, "Think of ways we might...get rid of this bleakwalker."

Speaking in Faendryl, Lylia says something you don't understand.

Shinann says, "As we all should be careful..."

Leafiara agrees, "Been working on that."

Hapenlok says, "Guess it's useless to talk rebuilding the barracks, since it's disputed territory."

Thadston says, "If I am to be any help for long...I need her gone."

Speaking darkly to Thadston, Wolfloner asks, "Perhaps if you fell upon your sword?"

Lylia asks, "Do you know why she attached herself to you in particular?"

Faerinn says, "In the meantime someone with the authority to should arrest Amos and Stephos."

Thadston glances between Wolfloner and the window.

Speaking softly to Thadston, Chandrellia says, "You'll get there Thadston, one day at a time."

Lylia says, "This may be key to removing her."

Speaking to Faerinn, Hapenlok asks, "I think at this point in time?"

A wisp of azure light curls along some of Thadston's fingers.

Speaking to Faerinn, Hapenlok says, "I'm done with arresting people."

Wolfloner glances at Thadston.

Speaking to Hapenlok, Faerinn says, "Accidents can happen."

Umbazi says, "You're leaking magic again..."

Speaking to Chandrellia, Pietra says, "Damn you're so chipper."

Lylia says, "But we may have to talk of that some other time."

Leafiara wryly says, "Funny thing is, barring the Judge suddenly announcing anything new, I think he still wants a council decision in two days."

Speaking softly to Pietra, Chandrellia says, "I do my best..."

Speaking to Faerinn, Hapenlok says, "Yes, like their cells being 'accidentally' left open. And the gates being unguarded."

Leafiara grumbles, "More on that another time, I suppose."

Speaking to Leafiara, Faerinn says, "More reason to act on those two fast."

Speaking softly to Leafiara, Chandrellia says, "Well."

Hapenlok says, "And we let one viper skate with a pardon."

Thadston turns around.

Thadston nods at Shinann.

Speaking darkly to Thadston, Wolfloner says, "Perhaps jump out the window yourself. End its suffering."

Hapenlok says, "And people were appalled that I set that mayor on fire."

Shinann nods at Thadston.

Thadston moves slowly towards the door...

Speaking softly to Leafiara, Chandrellia says, "With no word from Amos about his whereabouts, if Amos is not here in two days, then you can't appoint him as we will not know if he is alive or dead."

Speaking to Thadston, Faerinn says, "Good to have you back."

Speaking to Chandrellia, Leafiara concedes, "Well, true..."

Speaking to Wolfloner, Pietra says, "Oh I'm sure the window is not suffering at all. It's brand new and unblemished by reality."

Speaking to Chandrellia, Leafiara says, "I'm not sure he'd miss being back in time for this, though, but that's an interesting thought."

Thadston as he approaches the exit, he twists, very purposefully, and grabs Wolfloner by the head and slams his forehead down hard onto the edge of the mayor's desk! Blood splatters as skin is split and Wolfloner stumbles back stunned.

Lylia says, "Be well."

Thadston shrugs.

Thadston says, "Oops."

Lord Thadston just went through a glossy maoral door.
