The sigil of location is the second sigil learned by Guardians of Sunfist members. It allows the user to determine whether there are hated enemies or warcamps in the same general area as the user.

Description

Using the sigil allows the GoS member to search the surrounding area for hated enemies and warcamps. This is useful for finding warcamps and determining the size of a warcamp once access is attained.

Draelox traces the outline of a sigil into the air before you and says, "This is the Sigil of Location, memorize it well. The Grimswarm often hides their forces in ambush, striking at us and their many other foes from places unseen and retreating to those sanctuaries when the tide of battle turns against them. They are cowards, but cowards that hide behind shrouds of great power."

Draelox continues, "This simple sigil is one of the most powerful tools that we can bring to bear against the Grimswarm, as it has the capability to temporarily pierce the mystical shrouds that the Grimswarm hides behind and locate nearby enemies that may lie in wait to ambush us. This sigil has no cost to use beyond the time it takes to center yourself with your surroundings, so use it often when tracking down our foes. Go now, and make good use of what I have taught you."

Detailed Benefits

  • Sense nearby hated foes, warcamps, and opens the path to the warcamps.
  • 3 second RT per use
  • The "nearby" is not tied to the LOCATION (verb)

Mana/Stamina Costs

There is no cost to use this sigil other than roundtime.

Messaging

Using the sigil of location will give third-person messaging about scanning the area. This messaging is the same regardless of the outcome of the sigil.

No hated enemies nor warcamps in the same location:

>sigil of location
You focus intently on your sigil as its power begins to reach out into your immediate surroundings and beyond...

You sense the presence of no hated enemies nearby.

Roundtime: 3 sec.

Warcamp in the area, but not in the same room:

>sigil of location
You focus intently on your sigil as its power begins to reach out into your immediate surroundings and beyond...

You sense the presence of 2 hated enemies nearby.

You sense some faint interference with your sigil coming from somewhere nearby, though you cannot seem to locate it.

Roundtime: 3 sec.

Warcamp in the room:

>sigil of location
You focus intently on your sigil as its power begins to reach out into your immediate surroundings and beyond...

You sense the presence of 2 hated enemies nearby.

You sense some interference with your sigil coming from close by, however. As you continue to concentrate upon your sigil, a shimmering patch of air begins to form nearby!

Roundtime: 3 sec.

Using the sigil of location again before the shimmering patch of air fades into nothingness will allow you to create a path which persists for a short duration of roughly five minutes, allowing non Sunfist members to enter the camp.

>sigil of location
You focus intently on your sigil as its power begins to reach out into your immediate surroundings and beyond...

You sense the presence of 2 hated enemies nearby.

You sense some interference with your sigil coming directly from the shimmering patch of air and focus the full power of your sigil upon it. As you concentrate, the patch of air begins to dissolve into a shimmering path!

Roundtime: 3 sec.

Use the sigil again once inside to determine the size of a warcamp.

>sigil of location
You focus intently on your sigil as its power begins to reach out into your immediate surroundings and beyond...

You sense the presence of 141 hated enemies nearby.

Roundtime: 3 sec.
