The huge sabre-tooth tiger is obviously a formidable predator, measuring more than 15 feet from the nose to the tip of her tail. Flexing massive shoulders above powerful forelegs, the tiger growls and snarls, exposing the elongated canines that give her her name. The tiger's magnificent striped pelt gradates from a soft tan undertone along the spine to a powder white on belly and legs.
Hunting strategies
On the Frozen Tundra they are surrounded by major glacei, ice wraiths, wooly mammoths, and polar bears. Mammoths have a knock down maneuver, wind wraiths will Call Wind (912) and Earthen Fury (917), and glacei spit chunks of ice. This is a very lethal situation without a stun breaker. Polar bears have a high AS for their level, so they are dangerous if prone, but with high hit points and little experience relative to the surrounding creatures. Swarms can be sudden.
Higher up the mountains the tigers and polar bears are only surrounded by lesser ice elementals and possibly an ice elemental, which pose a Major Elemental Wave (435) hazard. Climbing can drop you on your back there in front of them.
Other information
Sabre-tooth tigers will cause diseases when they inflict damage. They can boost their AS to around 350.
