Elemental Targeting (425)

The Elemental Targeting spell provides a base bonus of +25 to both physical and bolt AS, and a +25 CS base bonus to elemental base spells which include (Minor Elemental, Major Elemental, Wizard and Bard Base). There is an additional bonus of +1 for every two ranks above 25. The total bonus is capped at +50 with 75 MnE ranks.
Overtraining past a character's level in the MnE circle will not increase the bonus.
Note: Although the Bard Base circle is considered a mental/elemental hybrid, bard spells currently receive the full bonus.
Bonus Calculation
AS / Elemental CS Bonus = 25 + trunc((MnE ranks - 25) ÷ 2)
For example, with 52 MnE spell ranks the bonus is:
- 25 + trunc((52 - 25) ÷ 2) = 38
Sorcerer Base Bonus
Due to their spiritual/elemental hybrid nature, Sorcerer Base spells only receive half the normal bonus. The sorcerer base bonus is +13 with an additional +1 bonus for every four MnE ranks above 25. The CS bonus is capped at +25 with 73 MnE spell ranks.
Sorcerer Base Bonus Calculation
Sorcerer Base bonus = 13 + trunc((MnE ranks - 25) ÷ 4)
For example, with 52 MnE spell ranks the bonus is:
- 13 + trunc((52 - 25) ÷ 4) = 19
Note: Other non-elemental / non-spiritual spell circles (not yet implemented ) are expected to receive the same bonus as the sorcerer base.
Spiritual Base Spells
Spiritual base spells do not receive a CS bonus from Elemental Targeting. These spell circles include, Minor Spiritual, Major Spiritual, Cleric Base, Empath Base and Paladin Base.
