Looking nearly to expire, this creeper definitely falls into the unhealthy category but don't let looks fool you. If you or a friend falls into it, it is likely that you or they will fall into an unhealthy ... or dead category too!.

Hunting strategies

You rack up minor wounds like clockwork in the bramble, bring lots of herbs. Or better yet, an empath with Troll's Blood: Creepers have maneuver attacks that give you head, neck, and leg wounds, and looting them (or any other carnivorous plant in the bramble) can cause wounds on your hands.

They have plenty of health and can't be critted, so it tends to take lots of attacks to take them down. Which is quite problematic, as the bramble has a tendency to swarm.

Other information

Creepers cannot be critted at all, attacks just do damage.

Skinning them is safe, but looting them is not. You may find a crystallized black thorn which is a gem that is immediately placed in your hand, but looting them risks a chance of a rank 1 wound on an open hand. If you aren't running Troll's Blood it is strongly advised to either bring a lot of Ambrominas Leaf, or failing that, to accept that you'll be hunting with a broken hand.

Whether you find a gem or not is likely dependent on your Perception ranks.

Whether you get injuried or not likely involves Survival ranks.

Occasionally they will attempt to wrap a vine around your neck, over your head, or at your legs (SMRv2 maneuver). If they succeed, it will damage you and cause at least a rank 1 injury on the targeted body part. If it's legs, you get wounds on both of them. On a low success roll, that's all that happens. Higher rolls cause more problems, such as a fairly impressive poison (such as 19 to 30 damage per round, dissipating at 4 per round).

Here is an example of an attack that causes rank 1 wounds on both legs and a 19 (dissipating 4 per round) poison:

[SMR result: 126 (Open d100: 93, Bonus: 7)]
A shriveled icy creeper whips its leafy appendages with lightning speed towards your
legs!
You stumble while trying to dodge the icy creeper's appendages and the serrated-edges
of the leafs score deep marks into your calves sending waves of pain throughout your body.
You feel a fierce poison coursing through your veins!

This maneuver can cause the creeper to fall prone:

[SMR result: 38 (Open d100: 28, Bonus: 3)]
A shriveled icy creeper flings a length of creeper vine towards you, but with a flash of incredible reflexes, you skip out of the way and the creeper vine, trailing the rest of its body, lands sprawling on the ground.
