You add flares to them, then they make your weapon flare if its flare slot is empty--with no added gear difficulty! If you usually have stamina to spare and don't hunt with unarmed combat, I highly recommend looking into these. ITEM RECOMMENDATIONS FROM ADVENTURERS SHOP
LAST CHANCE for:
Confection Creators - pies, cupcakes, cookies, scones, chocolates and candies!
An Ordim wants to make sure you get all the treats. you deserve. "The Confection Creator is well priced and allows you to make food once per day in a variety of great flavors! There are extra recipes to buy, one for each, that will be continued in future events. It's also the last run of the shop, so don't miss out!" All You Knead
a scarlet runestaff with a leather-wrapped haft
a Balance and Frenzy weapon
At 2500 bloodscrip, Balance and Frenzy is Leafiara's new gold standard for a starter runestaff (specifically a runestaff since boosting CS matters a lot more than boosting AS). Not the most powerful script around, nor will it be, but it's extremely affordable and yet still thematically cool with room to upgrade later if you really like it. Balance and Frenzy
Origami Instructions Maevie says, "Don't forget to buy your Duskruin-only origami instructions. Even if you don't have a high enough skill (yet), you can still buy a slip with pattern instructions from the skilled master. I picked up the adept skill profession patterns!" Bloody Lotus
Flare Gloves
Announcements (until the wiki page works, that is all we have)
Leafiara recommends, "The gloves in Right to Flare Arms are revolutionary. You add flares to them, then they make your weapon flare if its flare slot is empty--with no added gear difficulty! You can buy and flexibly swap between multiple flare types (including even the rare magma!), slip greater elemental power into the flare slot, and future-proof yourself to an extent. If you usually have stamina to spare and don't hunt with unarmed combat, I highly recommend looking into these. Had I known they would exist now, it would have changed almost every flare slot decision I ever made." Right to Flare Arms
Alchemy Jar Container Traiva finds the Alchemy Jar Containers very handy. "If you do any kind of ingredient collecting in jars (alchemy, gems, foraged items), these containers make sorting and jarring your items sooooooo easy - toss your jars and items into the container, give it a rub, and voila! - everything goes right into the jar so no more rummaging and tediously putting things in one at a time. Plus, a quick PEER will show you just how many of your ingredients you have stored!" Alchemical Attraction
Animalistic Spirit Gear Luxelle raves about her Animalistic weapon and headdress combo, "I have used these for some time and they just keep making me smile. The gear is within the price of most people over the course of several Duskruins, and can be enchanted, ensorcelled, sanctified, WPS'd, everything, but you still have all the ferocious animal spirit touches. Mine are keepers, for sure!" Shop for your category of animal, your favorite flare, and your perfect mix of unlocks on weapons, armor, shields, and those crowning glories of the head gear. Untamed Spirit
Heady Spirits
Wild Instince
LAST CHANCE for:
Magic Slings
Kitraryn advises, "Even at tier 1 the Runestaff sling messaging is simple and not obtrusive to roleplay going on in the room and it's just lovely for rune staff users." Get them while you can. Art of Lore
Shimmer Trinket "Shimmer Trinket For Life!" Traiva declared "This little trinket lets you set an outfit - or multiple outfits, if you purchase the unlock certificate - and when people look at you they see ONLY what you want them to see arranged from the Trinket." Not all the enhancives, adventuring containers, etc. Spellbound
Stylized Blue Flame Clasp 40x per day of the Flaming Aura spell (1706). It doesn't take up spell sever slot and they are such fun flares. This has to be one of the best value items this DR. Spellbound
a delicate vellum certificate
for Fancy Stancing Flourish
Category F--for Fluff! er, Flourish!--has our community, and Leafiara, excited for both the future and present as it debuts with Fancy Stance Flourishes in Certifiable! "Add these to your (main hand) weapon to incorporate it into your STANCE VERBOSE stance changes with delightful messaging that might even have you using neglected stances like advance, forward, and neutral!" Certifiable
Realm Weapons Rova really likes how the Realm Weapons at Rock Solid change flares, based on the area. You know you're getting the most useful flare for that realm! I mean, there's no reason to take fire to Teras, right? You'll want Ice there! No hauling around multiple flaring weapons this way, use the same one as you train up! Rock Solid
LAST CHANCE for
Wigs (and wig powder!)
Traiva's reminder: "If you've ever wanted to change your hair color and style for just a day... or just an hour... wigs are a great option! The wigs in Best Tressed should be alterable by a GALD merchant, too, so even if one doesn't exactly strike your fancy, for 50bs, it's worth the investment. And don't forget the wig powder so your head stays cool and not itchy under the wig." (This is the last run for this shop, so don't let these pass you by!) Best Tressed
LAST CHANCE for:
Confection Creators - pies, cupcakes, cookies, scones, chocolates and candies!
Leafiara's eyes were on the sweets when she wrote, "Brighten up every room with your own Confection Creator to make six cakes, candies, chocolates, cookies, cupcakes, pies, or scones per day!" This is your last chance since All You Knead is closing, so don't miss out! All You Knead
Thaumaturge Tome "It's great!" was the exclamation left by one anonymous shopper as they lifted their tome into the air. They'll follow you around, attack foes when you attack, provide you with paper when you need some, and have a few incredible unlocks at the higher tiers. Paranormal Pages
Fighting Fan Traiva's Muse has been in love with the Sparrow's Dance Fighting Fans since their release, "They're the reason I started building up TWC on my edged/brawling Warrior; seeing her fly across a battlefield striking out with both fans is amazing. The RP flavor is kinda niche, but so very, very cool." Sparrow's Dance
Fatal Afflares If your weapon has flares, then spice up your hunting routine with Fatal Afflares! Leafiara suggests, "Find the perfect messaging to make your flares better suit your character, be it flames, eye beams, blood rain, stampeding buffalo, petrified biscuits, and so much more." Fatal Afflares
Animalistic Spirit Weapons "There are a lot of options for combat scripts, but this is hands-down my favorite," Traiva tells us. "Who doesn't want a herd of stallions or murder of ravens swooping out to knock down and instill fear in your enemy? They're highly customizable with unlocks, so you can focus on just what you like and what makes sense for you; none of this having to put up with something not-so-great just to get the really good stuff." Untamed Spirit
Cobbling Settings Maker Box
Teaser post link until there is a wiki page:
a bejeweled ebonwood box
Leafiara is very sure the new new Cobbling Settings Maker Box is a must-have for cobblers--and potentially even people who regularly commission cobblers! Create your own beads, buttons, studs, and inset settings, including designs of your own making if you can track down the right merchant. Just For Kicks
Magic Markers Here's another big tip from Leafiara: "If you know (or are!) a wizard who regularly charges small statues and quartz orbs, Magic Markers are perfect for sorting magic items! You can even brand them with your own mark if you catch the right merchant--or buy the lightening feature with 5x/day uses (with more purchasable) to cut down the weight of these items!" Make Your Mark
Hand-held Pylon Obelin reminds you, for the eighth time in a row, that a fully unlocked pylon can be worn on your arms and converts magic item use training and alchemy junk into reliably lethal elemental crits. Like you're even using those essences for anything else. Essencetials
LAST CHANCE for:
Magic Slings
Leafiara raves about the soon to be extinct Magic Slings, "After many years of popularity, this is your last chance to buy a Magic Sling! At just 2000 bloodscrip for full unlocks, these lively slings perfectly fancify the act of getting your runestaff out or putting it away with magical messaging to illustrate when you mean business." Art of Lore
Survivalist's Kit If there's a common experience to all styles of GemStone play, it's that you get hurt. And the Survivalist Kits for sale at the Herbal Huntsman help you cart around herbs so that you can be prepared for both emergencies and the usual scrapes and scratches. It's one of the most affordable needfuls at Duskruin! You can live quite fine without all the unlocks. Pick the unlocks most important to you. Store 50 (or however many you unlock) doses of Acantha for the weight of 1. Store 50 doses of Rose Marrow potion for the weight of one. This amazing herb kit is so very practical! The Herbal Huntsman
Spell Preparation Phrases, aka Spell Preps If you haven't spiffed up your spell preps yet, check out Mystic Phrases! The inventory isn't new, but it's cheaper than the preps at Rumor Woods in April and there's something for almost everybody. Paladins and rangers have the biggest selection, though! Mystic Phrases
a shimmering trinket Fashion Conscious Tip from Leafiara, "If you don't know about shimmering trinkets, check them out! Easily among the greatest fluff innovations ever, you can look great in (the illusion of) your perfect outfit to outside eyes while secretly wearing all your random trinkets and combat gear! You can even get extra sides for multiple outfit appearances." Spellbound
Flare Gloves
Announcements (until the wiki page works, that is all we have)
Sheeve quickly categorized these new gloves as amazing, "Especially if you have a project weapon you were waiting to put ability slot flares on. Being able to hotswap flares at will isn't just useful for changing environments or hunting targets, it's also a crazy amount of fun! And, it's easy to save bloodscrip by only buying the unlocks you really want. At 1k bloodscrip, the base item is about as cheap as things get in DR!" Right to Flare Arms
Buxom Buccaneers Skirts If you're into Open Sea Adventures and you're into skirts, check out Buccaneer's Skirts! Leafiara explains, "They're slit high for the bold, they feature a dagger sheath for the dangerous, they're stylish with a jig for the jaunty, and in all ways are perfect for living a thrilling life on the high seas!" (That shop owner should steal that for their new tagline, right?) Yarrrpee Shoppe
a faenor nugget If you have some amazing armor accessory enhancive items, they can be turned into great jewelry enhancives with the High End Shop's Faenor Nugget. Transmute those pieces into more attractive wearable jewelery for only 25k bloodscrip. High End Scrip Shop
LAST CHANCE for
Eonak Arms
Anonymouse, coming to you LIVE, from Eonak Arms! This is the last run for this shop, so run on over and get your Arm/Limb today, before this chance is over! What's better than having a third hand, that can hold stuff for you, can help you climb and swim better, and best yet... IT CAN SLAP PEOPLE FOR YOU! (Except, for when it slaps *you*, that is. Yes, that happens. No, it doesn't *not* hurt.) Eonak Arms
Clockwerke Pocketwatches Anonymouse, once again. This time, I'm at Clockwerke Solutions, where I've found the solution to all our problems! A pocket doodad that can tell you what time it is, and when upgraded enough, can even buzz you when you tell it to, all alarm-like! What sort of clockwerke sorcery is this madness?! Clockwerke Solutions
Survivalist's Kit Anonymouse is fresh out of the Herbal Huntsman and the word is that Survivalist's Kits are amazing! Carry up to 150 doses of an herb, for the weight of a single dose! Convert your DOSES into TINCTURES, so you can pour those herbs on others! All for the small price of 13k BS (23k, if you get the doodad that makes stuff take less roundtime depending on training)! Herbs 4 Lyfe, yo! The Herbal Huntsman
Fancy Stancing Flourishes One last time, Anonymouse files this recommendation from Certifiable, where you can find a Delicate Vellum Certificate, which, when applied to a weapon... gives you Fancy Stancing messaging! What is this, now, you ask? Easy! When your weapon has this, and you have your Stancing in VERBOSE mode, people will see you stance-dancing even more fancily than normal! PLUS! This goes in that fancy new FLOURISH spot on items, it doesn't take up any sort of mechanical room! So you can be all fancy stance-dancy with your animal spirit weapon, or whatever else your weapon might do! YAY! Certifiable
