Summary

  • On a snowy Landing night, Amos invites everyone to a warm fire in the Sleeping Dragon Pub. Chandrellia and Mayor Leafiara inquire about his absence since the mission in Jantalar, but he says he's been back since a few days after. A good man was rescued and another was good man was avenged. Guarrin says it seems Amos sorted out his business, but Amos says it's our business; Captain Shinann asks if he means the Consortium's business, but he says Jantalar wasn't that. However, he's sure the Consortium will have business in the future.
  • Puptilian asks who started and organized the Consortium; Amos says it came from many conversations and collective concerns and he can't recall whose original idea it was, but perhaps a little bit of everyone's. Leafi raises the question of how Larsya got involved, as neither a citizen nor merchant nor having the same concerns as them; Amos says she represents the Outpost and they provide a critical function to balance and trade in the area.
  • Shinann says everyone in the Consortium except Larsya has been up for a town council position and not gotten it, and Amos asks if that's a bad thing, saying it speaks to their passion and dedication. The Consortium wishes to serve and restore, he says--but Shinann and Pup say they hungered for power and took it. Amos laughs off the idea of Dakris being power hungry. Leafi says not all of them come across as power hungry, but rumors fly in town and it would be best if they'd come forward and speak openly with the people about their concerns.
  • Darcena, after flirting with Amos a bit, asks if the Consortium told Dunigan anything that led to him arresting Captain Stormyrain. Amos says he's unsure when the captains attacked the armigers and whether it was before or after the Consortium; everyone sets the record straight that the captains never attacked, but rather Mayor Leafi and others. He sets them aside as details that don't matter right now.
  • Amos says to forgive him, as there are many questions and a lot of posturing. Leafi says the questions are why the Consortium should hold a public meeting, but Amos says he's happy to answer any questions about them as they selected him to represent them. Chandrellia and Hapenlok ask if they selected by choice or threat and Amos asks if we're done with pleasantries.
  • Leafi says it's curious that he represents them but can't explain what their concerns are or who started them; Amos says he did answer who started them, but perhaps she didn't like his answer. He said it was ideas from all of them and there's power in unity and collaboration, and he can't credit just one person. If we wish to hate one of the Consortium, then hate all of them. Leafi says that would depend on conversations with them.
  • Goldstr asks if Amos has invested in the Consortium's businesses. Amos says he benefits from Landing success and we all do. Goldstr says he means to gain. Guarrin asks if Amos knows how Judge Renpaw is faring and Amos shakes his head.
  • Leafi says there's nothing wrong in and of itself with a collective of merchants, but that's why it's strange that details are scant. Amos asks what details she's lacking; she says their general goals, concerns, and motivations, and more importantly statements from the individuals. Amos says they want order within the town, as chaos is driving away business, endangering lives, and suffocating our people. Leafi asks what order would look like, ideally, while Stormy asks who determines what order would look like. Amos says that remains to be seen, as it's not solely up to him, but the Consortium will update her (or possibly everyone; ambiguous "you") with their decisions and ideas. For now, one of the first things is pooling resources and providing additional protection to merchants. Stormy asks what methods the Consortium will use: staying within the law, creating a new law, or operating outside of it. Amos says of course they must respect laws, as chaos fighting chaos is still chaos.
  • Shinann asks if the Consortium recognizes the mayor as the leader of our town; Amos says of course, as that's what they're elected to do. Represent the people and obey the laws.
  • Leafi asks Amos why he moved here, as last time she asked, he said he was expanding business, but it doesn't seem he likes our way of life. He asks how she supposes that; she says he called this a wild town with unfortunate manners and she's not forgotten it. He asks if that's untrue; she says it's a wild town, but "unfortunate" is his perspective. He says he said unfortunate, not welcome; Leafi asks if he likes it here, then, since perhaps we have no problem as long as he's here to protect what we are. Amos says there's much promise here and he wouldn't be here if he didn't like it. He doesn't waste his time and we may ask Thadston that. She says as long as there are no more arrests of captains, it's possible things just got off to a bad start, but more Consortium members speaking with the people would be of help.
  • Amos says he would hope we see the Consortium as a welcome ally when we seem to be short on those. Chandrellia asks who says that; Amos says he'd say it. The third marshal, Khylon, is dead; the second marshal, Thadston, is a drunk and haunted man; the first marshal, Thrayzar, is a wild orc. The militia's broken, the guards are overwhelmed, a blood cult is bleeding people, a lich king is raising corpses, two criminal organizations fight night and day, and we're paranoid enough to consider hanging an Imperial girl (Larsya). Hap and Stormy say almost everyone in the room has risked a lot to save Larsya's life. Chandrellia says Amos' eyes must have been elsewhere than around here, because Thadston's coming around just fine.
  • Silvynn says order in the Landing isn't Amos' affair or concern, but the concern of the mayor, town council, and militia, two of which are represented in the room--and that the Landing had endured well without Amos' presence and Silvynn sees little value in what he offers. Amos says Silvynn is a citizen, and asks if the Landing isn't his (Silvynn's) concern; he says it's our concern, but not his (Amos'). Amos asks if he's less of a citizen than him; Silvynn says it's no doubt a clerical error and doubts Amos would pass muster for citizenship.
  • Goat says we've unraveled Althedeus while fending off Elithain Cross and Grishom Stone, so all of the current troubles are just Niiman, and asks how many realm destroyers Amos has unraveled, how many Arcane Eyes he's fought off, how many incarnadine rotting chimeras he's mounted and ridden, and how many times he's beaten back demons at the Demonwall. Amos says he knew a woman who might have passed for one of those.
  • Sir Cryheart says not to forget that we are a protectorate of Hendor, with friends in Vornavis and the County of Bourth. Goat says we can take care of things just fine. Leafi agrees that we've faced more serious issues than this, with or without Imperial help, and it's surprising that the Consortium is so concerned when most of them have lived through these things. Amos says perhaps that's why they're concerned, as they're tired. They barely survive, hoping, praying, hiding, and rebuilding, and we've forgotten them in our glory. They're tired of fighting to survive and tired of us--their words, not his.
  • Leafi says Amos is saying we've lost sight of the common person, and being weak in a threatening world. Goldstr says get rid of the armigers and maybe we can come to terms; Amos says they're necessary at the moment; Goat says Amos is welcome to offer aid, but there's no reason to involve hired muscle. Pup says the people standing here rebuild the town with their own hands, donate money to the orphanage, deliver babies, hunt for food, and stand in front of evil to protect those who can't fight. Amos says perceptions are a tricky thing; Leafi says they are, which is why the Consortium should speak with us.
  • Amos says he disagrees with the Consortium members in this regard, but he can see their perspective and work to help blend reality and perceptions. For that, they selected him and respect him. Leafi says that if they're unsatisfied with the town's defenders, then let them come forward and tell us, as it'll mean more coming from them who have lived through past challenges, unlike Amos. Amos laughs at the idea of having these accusations and hostile questions happen to them; Leafi says they wouldn't face the same level of scrutiny, having lived here longer than Amos and being better known. Kippe says this wouldn't be happening if they were here; Goat says they haven't ordered armigers to arrest militia captains. Leafi says we'll fight harder than ever, give more than ever, and do more than ever... if we're asked to, by the people Amos says are troubled, while he says that he's not.
  • Amos says we can split hairs on the armiger situation and he agrees it was wrong for them to react as they did, but it was also wrong to prevent the apprehension of a wanted vigilante, as it's more chaos. Goat says Amos acting like he's law enforcement is how we get chaos; Amos says the town council originally financed the armigers at Dunigan's request, and afterward Amos and the Consortium have helped alleviate some of the financial burden. Goat says he'd like to see the paperwork on who gave them rights to arrest whoever they see fit.
  • Leafi says she still can't imagine why mercenaries were a good idea when the Knave's primary resource is money and he could have outbid. Amos says the Knave can't have endless resources; Leafi says she said as much herself in a previous meeting with Amos, and hopefully they're getting close to running him dry; Amos says this is part of the reasoning for the Consortium, pooling resources, influence, and wealth. If the Knave can throw money at bleeding the town, some of us can throw money at restoring it. Chandrellia asks if they're using Larsya for her resources, influence, and wealth. Goldstr says he's hear rumors that Amos is supplying arms to the Knave and blood cult. Amos says the militia was broken and the town guard was overrun, so the armigers served a purpose and still do for now, but in time will move on to their next coin when the town's local defense and grow and walk again.
  • Amos says he believes the words we might have been looking for all night are "thank you," but truthfully, he doesn't help because of a fondness for our smiles or our children. There's profit to be made in the Landing, but not when it's overrun with chaos. Silvynn says the town won't conform to the whims of the Consortium and Amos asks if he thinks the Consortium is some shadowy organization bent on enslaving us.
  • Amos says for all of our boasting earlier, we've forgotten that we needed Elithain to help defeat Stone, later Stone to help defeat Elithain, Aralyte to defeat Althedeus, Praxopius to defeat Kragnack, and two baronies to stop Hochstib. We've done nothing alone, so don't cut down our greatest ally. Leafi says if our greatest ally is hired mercenaries, we've got even bigger problems; Amos asks if she thinks the armigers are the extent of the Consortium's influence and reach. Leafi asks if they'll prove otherwise and Goldstr asks if it's a threat.
  • Vaemyr says he appreciates the help Amos is providing, despite some unfortunate details, and working together would be best for the current situation; Chandrellia says Amos is the reason for the current situation; Vaemyr says that might be true, but the situation is what it is and must be dealt with.
  • Amos says he told the Consortium they were wrong, but they knew us better than he does and he should have listened. Leafi says there's a lot of things he should be listening to tonight too. Amos says it's unfortunate we view the Consortium through the same lens we view enemies at our gates or, sometimes, Rooks in our underbelly. Fortunately, the Consortium's backing grows, they don't need our validation, and they will restore order and protect the town with or without our smiles.
  • Cryheart asks if Amos will take control regardless; Amos says he stands here with a mayor and a militia captain, yet he sees no chains or cells. Goldstr and Roelaren agree that it sounded like a threat. Hap says that on his list, he's not very impressed by Amos working with the Landing's weakest-willed merchants and an implied threat that Larsya would send the Bourthian army against us. Amos says it wasn't a veiled threat, and we perceive ourselves as being in a position to say yes or no to the Consortium, but we're not. If we wish to pass laws forbidding merchants from pooling resources, then pass one and speak to the new Judge Manard.
  • Leafi says she doesn't see a reason to speak about the Consortium with a judge who's a nephew of one of the Consortium. Either way, there's nothing wrong with pooling resources, but there's something highly suspicious about none of them sharing their concerns with us. Amos says they're tired of many things and don't wish to face scrutiny and politics, but survive, eat, and sleep peacefully. Leafi says we argue and clash all the time and come out stronger for it, but we have to be forthright and open. Amos says some do, but not all. We're adventurers who banter, bicker, and survive great battles to tell the tale, but they're simple and want peace, order, full bellies, and happy hearts. Chandrellia asks why they haven't packed up and moved to a quieter town, staying here for so long and then not wanting it; Amos says it's because he's given them a voice.
  • Shinann says Amos has said himself he likes fights, but now talks of peace. Amos says not fights, which often accomplish little, but hunts with clear predators and prey with a trophy.
  • Leafi and Cryheart reiterate that all we want is a sitdown with the Consortium. Amos says he'll present this night to them and encourage their voice, but be upfront with his warning and caution. (Presumed to be about possible hostile questions, as mentioned earlier.) Leafi says they do know us better than Amos does and she's confident it'll be more productive. Amos says he's glad their disagreements at least subsided for the night in Jantalar when we rescued Thrayzar, and some good has come of our knowledge of each other. He wishes everyone a good eve.

Madmountan says, "Slim was definitely shady."

Highlights - Thematic

Madmountan asks, "Do we have any consensus on who the good guys and bad guys are in all this mess? Or is that still in the eye of the beholder for the moment?"
Speaking to himself, Guarrin mutters, "We're to the point of measuring upon how morally corrupt two criminal organizations, a lich and a self proclaimed blood god are..."

Amos says, "I am unsure when the captains attacked the armigers. Before the Consortium I believe? It has been a busy few weeks."
Leafiara clarifies, "The captains never attacked the armigers."

Leafiara agrees, "Also true."
Amos says, "Ah, the Mayor, not the Captains."
Amos shrugs.
Amos says, "Details, none of which matter right now."
Speaking flatly to Amos, Darcena says, "They matter to me."
Amos says, "You'll forgive me, there's several questions at once..."

Shinann says, "I suppose truth does not matter to you."
Amos says, "...and enough posturing to chill even the hearth."
Speaking to Amos, Leafiara asks, "...do you like it here, then? I'll ask that instead. And not now, when we're beset with enemies, but when you first moved here, did you like our town?"
Leafiara says, "As long as you're here to protect what we are, perhaps we have no problem."
Amos says, "There is much promise here. I would not be here, if I did not like it."
Goldstr mutters promise=profit.
Speaking to Amos, Silvynn says, "It is our concern. Not yours."
Amos says, "I am a citizen."
Amos asks, "Am I less of one than you?"
Amos peers quizzically at Silvynn.
Speaking to Amos, Silvynn says, "No doubt that is a clerical error. Doubt you would pass muster for citizenship."
Speaking to Leafiara, Silvynn says, "I suspect we would get a more direct and straighforward answer from a rolton than will be given from the spokesman of the Consortium tonight."
Amos says, "But truthfully, I don't help because I have a fondness for your smiles, or your children."
Amos says, "There is profit to be made in this town, but not with it overrun with chaos."
Speaking to Amos, Goldstr says, "Least ye sayin yer truth now."

Amos' Surprise Appearance

[Town Square Central]

This is the heart of the main square of Wehnimer's Landing. The impromptu shops of the bazaar are clustered around this central gathering place, where townsfolk, travellers, and adventurers meet to talk, conspire or raise expeditions to the far-flung reaches of Elanith. At the north end, an old well, with moss-covered stones and a craggy roof, is shaded from the moonlight by a strong, robust tree. The oak is tall and straight, and it is apparent that the roots run deep. You also see the orange Gabnid disk, a large acorn, the Varnock disk, the palm frond-shaped Leafiara disk, the Kuromadoushi disk, the Yorne disk, some acantha leaf, the Aptorian disk, a grizzled wolf, the Bellerophon disk, the Kippe disk, an amber-eyed tawny range wolf, the violet Garbert disk, the Omeira disk, a lop-eared mire lion, the Kiwoeachi disk, a lamenting badland spirit that is flying around, the Shachath disk, the Kasula disk, the Brodhi disk, the icy blue Pekka disk, the Tarandyl disk, a slimy brown frog, a large acorn, a notched flexing arm token, a large acorn, a bunch of crimson salt crystals, a large acorn, a large acorn, a rose-marrow potion, a rose-marrow potion, a white flask, a rose-marrow potion, a mistwood serving cart with some stuff on it, a round silver-banded barrel, an herbal remedy donation bin and some stone benches with some stuff on it.

The sky is filled with a blanket of low clouds, pale and unmoving. Sounds seem muffled and the air feels thick and takes on a quiet stillness.

[General] Leafiara musingly thinks, "Looks like snow in the Landing again this eve."

Speaking to Leafiara, Evii asks, "Do you have a favorite?"

Speaking to Leafiara, Hapenlok says, "Oh, lovely."

Speaking curiously to Evii, Leafiara asks, "A favorite what?"

Chandrellia softly exclaims, "Did I hear snow!"

[General] Dergoatean exclaims, "Thanks Mayor!"

[General] Crimsoneve thinks, "Well it's that time of the year...."

Leafiara exclaims, "You did!"

Omeira asks, "You heard snow?"

Omeira says, "That's probably not good."

Speaking wistfully to Leafiara, Evii asks, "A favorite star?"

Omeira says, "Snow is usually silent."

Leafiara clarifies, "She heard my thoughts about the snow."

Speaking softly to Omeira, Chandrellia says, "I did, it whispered in my ear, tonight is the night."

Kiwoeachi says, "Wow there's Pup."

Speaking tentatively to Evii, Leafiara says, "Err... can't say I do, actually. I'm not quite *that* much a romantic..."

Kiwoeachi says, "A staple among the town."

Speaking to Leafiara, Hapenlok says, "Well, the weather's quite bad out at sea. So I decided to come back in."

[General] Arianiss thinks, "It's another scorcher today..."

Speaking to Leafiara, Hapenlok says, "I scored two, today."

[General] Yardie asks, "You again?"

[General] Crimsoneve asks, "Icemule resident?"

Kiwoeachi says, "Amazing."

Speaking to Leafiara, Hapenlok says, "If I had had a gunner, I probably wouldn't have had to board the ghost pirate ship."

Hapenlok says, "My aim was actually pretty good, until I started springing leaks."

Speaking playfully to Kiwoeachi, Evii says, "What's up."

Omeira says, "Spiders."

Kiwoeachi says, "Not much."

Kiwoeachi says, "Uh."

Kiwoeachi says, "Got some yetis still to kill yet."

Speaking to Kiwoeachi, Evii says, "Sounds dangerous."

Kiwoeachi says, "Yetis."

Kiwoeachi exclaims, "There's Sir Cryheart!"

Speaking softly to Leafiara, Chandrellia says, "See, what did I say, just look for the big hitters and something is bound to follow them."

Shinann asks, "What?"

Speaking to Shinann, Puptilian says, "All formal."

Speaking amusedly to Chandrellia, Leafiara says, "I mean, it's more like the other way around if anything."

Kiwoeachi says, "The crew is all here."

Speaking thoughtfully to Kiwoeachi, Evii asks, "Now why are you laughing at me? Is there something on my face?"

Kiwoeachi asks, "Going sailing?"

Kiwoeachi asks, "Raise the main sail, raise anchor, cast off! Heave ho and whatnot?"

Chandrellia softly says, "Oh no, see, evil is stupid, it thinks it beats everyone, so it follows the strongest to try and prove it and they lose."

Speaking softly to Leafiara, Chandrellia asks, "Can I say it? Please please?"

Ycelacie asks, "What are we doing?"

Speaking encouragingly to Chandrellia, Leafiara exclaims, "Have at it!"

Kiwoeachi says, "Don't wanna be in irons on the sea."

Speaking to Ycelacie, Asben says, "Standing here."

Kiwoeachi says, "With a ranger by yer side the wind always be at yer back."

Ycelacie asks, "Why grouped?"

Chandrellia recites softly:

"Everyone join Leafi, in remembrance of Pukk!"

Cryheart says, "To keep warm."

Kiwoeachi asks, "Pukku?"

Hapenlok mutters, "Just in case."

Speaking to Kiwoeachi, Puptilian says, "I always preferred the wind in my face so guess it depends on the ranger you are with."

Kiwoeachi asks, "Pukku died?"

Leafiara sighs, "Hopefully Pukk's doing well. He was... a true heart of the square."

Kiwoeachi asks, "Whut?"

Speaking to Kiwoeachi, Leafiara says, "We'll wait for his return and be reunited again. Nothing to worry about, exactly, just... he's been away on a trip."

Kiwoeachi says, "Oh."

Kiwoeachi says, "Heh."

Speaking to Kiwoeachi, Leafiara assures, "I'm sure he'll be back one day."

Kiwoeachi says, "I didn't wanna start crying in the beginning of the night."

Kiwoeachi says, "That woulda been terrible."

Kiwoeachi says, "Geez."

Kiwoeachi says, "Messy messy."

Omeira says, "I'm gonna shoot stuff."

Darcena says, "Frightening."

Speaking to Ycelacie, Evii says, "I just noticed you were checking out your nails the other day. And I thought it would be cute."

Speaking in Giantman to Guarrin, Darcena says something you don't understand.

Hapenlok mutters, "Damned snow."

Speaking in Giantman to Darcena, Guarrin greets something you don't understand.

Madmountan asks, "Do we have any consensus on who the good guys and bad guys are in all this mess? Or is that still in the eye of the beholder for the moment?"

Speaking to Brodhi, Kasula asks, "Brodhi I got an escort to Illy you want to tag alone?"

Speaking wryly to Madmountan, Leafiara says, "Still in the eye of the beholder as ever."

Cryheart says, "Good question."

[General] Amos thinks, "The snow is getting lighter these days. A good sign for spring, for warmth."

Speaking to Madmountan, Darcena says, "It's my eye, Madmountan."

Leafiara says, "The Knave is the clearest bad guy, though... as it were."

Leafiara surprisedly asks, "Amos?"

Speaking to Madmountan, Darcena says, "Just follow my lead."

Darcena asks, "Oh, is this the really attractive giant I've been told I will like?"

Darcena says, "I can't remember if I've met him or not."

Chandrellia softly says, "The Knaves and the Blood Brothers."

Speaking to himself, Brodhi says, "Good night."

Speaking slyly to Leafiara, Darcena asks, "It is, isn't it?"

Speaking to Darcena, Leafiara sighs, "Probably."

Cryheart says, "Amos is thinking to us."

Leafiara says, "Or just thinking aloud."

Speaking to himself, Guarrin mutters, "We're to the point of measuring upon how morally corrupt two criminal organizations, a lich and a self proclaimed blood god are..."

[General] Akenna thinks, "I hope it comes soon."

[General] Darcena thinks, "Good. The dwarf keeps throwing snowballs down my bodice."

[General] Beldannon thinks, "I do like the warmth."

[General] Chandrellia asks, "Well hello Amos, and how is your adventures going?"

[General] Yardie thinks, "That's an image I was not expecting, Darcena."

[General] Cryheart thinks, "Snow makes one appreciate the warmth."

[General] Hapenlok pointedly thinks, "Funny thing about Snow, Merchant, is that you tend to have to dig through a lot of it to bury a body."

[General] Amos thinks, "They go well."

[General] Beldannon thinks, "An interesting one though Yardie."

Speaking to Cryheart, Madmountan says, "You, sir, are a right philosopher."

[General] Leafiara admits, "Been a while, Lion. Everything went well in... a certain other town?"

[General] Hapenlok thinks, "I'd think very hard on that."

Speaking to Hapenlok, Darcena says, "I find it more effective to just eat it."

[General] Chandrellia thinks, "I do hope you had pleasant journies, so much has happened in your absence."

[General] Amos thinks, "If you are looking to avoid even the light snow, the Sleeping Dragon Pub has a warm fire going and it welcomes you."

Cryheart asks, "Was that a hint?"

[General] Amos thinks, "Because I am not seen does not mean I am absent."

Speaking to Cryheart, Puptilian says, "Yes."

Leafiara says, "Sleeping Dragon Pub, hmm..."

Hapenlok mutters, "I don't like him. And I'm looking foward to stabbing him in the throat someday."

[General] Chandrellia thinks, "Oohhh we are good just huddled together in the square, you know body warmth and all."

Puptilian says, "Isn't that in the gambling hall or was it the buliding."

Leafiara recites:

"Join either Sir Cryheart or me and we'll move to the Sleeping Dragon Pub!"

Leafiara says, "Dragonsclaw Arms, I believe."

[General] Arianiss thinks, "That line usually gets me slapped."

Shinann says, "Dragonsclaw."

Leafiara recites:

"Moving in three..."

Concerning Consortiums

[Sleeping Dragon Pub]

A huge, elaborate wooden carving of a peacefully sleeping dragon stretches on the shelf behind the long, brass-railed bar from one end to the other, dominating the room. The pub is all dark wood and polished brass fixtures, and the cozy booths are upholstered in well-worn red leather that must have once been luxurious. You also see an elderly bartender.

Also here: Relic Hunter Madmountan, Darcena, Lord Amos

Yardie, Heidolph, Maerit, Hapenlok, Silvynn, Asben, Randsford, Beldannon, Chandrellia, Ycelacie, Kiwoeachi and Evii followed.

Speaking to Amos, Darcena asks, "I don't suppose you like to swing mauls?"

[General] Yardie thinks, "Deservedly so."

Amos says, "Hammers."

Darcena says, "Really."

Madmountan says, "Close enough."

Kiwoeachi says, "Fizzle bop."

Speaking flirtatiously to Amos, Ycelacie says, "Hey."

Darcena asks, "With two hands or one?"

Speaking softly to Darcena, Chandrellia says, "Small ones."

Darcena gives a sidelong glance at Amos.

[General] Arianiss exclaims, "Hmph!"

Amos says, "One in each hand."

Speaking musingly to Amos, Leafiara says, "Well, we meet again. Some were wondering where you'd gotten off to after an excursion in... elsewhere."

Speaking to Amos, Darcena flirts, "I see. Tell me more."

Kiwoeachi says, "Nahalagosoru."

Sir Cryheart's group just arrived.

Amos begins chuckling at Darcena!

Darcena focuses on Amos with intense concentration.

Amos's nervous system damage gradually fades, affecting Darcena's nervous system instead.

Amos says, "You've had enough for one night."

Amos grins at Leafiara.

Darcena scowls at Amos.

Madmountan says, "That is a pretty beard."

Speaking to Madmountan, Darcena says, "No thank you."

Kiwoeachi says, "The indignant among them will die first."

Amos says, "I have been here. I returned a few days after the incident."

Kiwoeachi says, "This is the way."

The bartender backs away from Guarrin quickly and exclaims, "What in Kai's name is the matter with you?!"

The bartender backs away from Varnock quickly and exclaims, "What in Kai's name is the matter with you?!"

Cryheart asks, "You had an incident?"

Darcena says, "We had an incident."

Speaking to Cryheart, Leafiara mouths, "Jantalar."

Kiwoeachi says, "Ooh."

Speaking softly to Amos, Chandrellia says, "I hope you weren't hurt."

Amos chuckles.

Guarrin asks, "Which incident?"

Amos says, "It is safe to speak here."

Kiwoeachi says, "Good."

Cryheart says, "I was nae present at that incident."

Speaking to Amos, Raelee says, "In this town, referring to an incident with 'the' is typically... rather nonspecific."

Amos smirks at Raelee.

Amos says, "Noted."

Speaking surprisedly to Raelee, Darcena says, "I understood him."

Madmountan says, "Yeah, there's like 4 a night."

Leafiara relents, "Fair enough, speaking openly about the Jantalar 'excursion' then."

Mynon says, "Truth."

Speaking in Guildspeak, Hapenlok flatly mutters something you don't understand.

Speaking to Darcena, Raelee says, "It does not make my statement any less true."

Chandrellia softly says, "Hey my drunken stupor doesn't count."

Leafiara mutters, "The one that hopefully no one outside town ever finds out about."

Amos says, "A good man was rescued, another good man was avenged."

Speaking to Amos, Guarrin says, "It seems you sorted out your business that evening."

Amos says, "Our business."

Leafiara reasons, "Sure, but whether Imperial officials would see it that way is... entirely another matter."

Leafiara admits, "Though I'm only going from hearsay anyway since I wasn't there."

Cryheart says, "That is a matter of opinion, Amos."

Shinann asks, "When you say 'our' do you mean the consortium?"

Darcena says, "We do need to speak about that."

Darcena lightly says, "Perhaps over stout."

Amos grins at Shinann.

Amos says, "No, that was not the Consortium's business. Jantalar."

Amos says, "That was a us, here, collective 'our.'"

Amos nods.

Amos says, "I am sure the Consortium will have some business in the future."

Puptilian asks, "Who started the Consortium? Who organized it?"

Kiwoeachi says, "Silver for drinks on me."

Speaking to Puptilian, Goldstr says, "I heard him."

Goldstr points at Amos.

Chandrellia softly asks, "And were all the necessary papers filed with the clerk at Moot Hall?"

Amos says, "It came from many conversations, many collective concerns. I cannot recall whose true original idea it was."

Amos says, "Dare I say, perhaps a little bit of everyone's."

Amos grins.

Leafiara says, "Most important question to me is how Larsya got involved, since she's neither a citizen nor merchant."

Speaking musingly to Amos, Yardie says, "Probably a mutual grievance."

Leafiara says, "And I doubt she has similar concerns to any of the others."

Amos says, "She represents the Outpost in the alliance. They provide a critical function to both balance and trade in this area."

Leafiara raises an eyebrow in Amos's direction.

Speaking softly to Amos, Chandrellia asks, "Oh?"

Kiwoeachi says, "Drinks on me."

Puptilian says, "We do trade with her father's barony too."

Shinann says, "Every single person that we were told were a part of it, except Larsya, has been up for a town office and not gotten it."

Speaking flatly to Kiwoeachi, Hapenlok says, "I won't be drinking the swill in this establishment. thank you."

Leafiara asks, "And this was her idea, or was she petitioned for aid?"

Kiwoeachi says, "My stomach is an empty dense star."

Amos asks, "That is a bad thing?"

Speaking melodically to Kiwoeachi, Varnock says, "I never turn down a drink."

Amos peers quizzically at Shinann.

Speaking softly to Amos, Chandrellia says, "Just makes a bit odd."

Amos asks, "You speak as if it disqualifies them. Would it not more speak to their passion? To their dedication?"

Amos says, "The Consortium wishes to serve. To restore."

Kiwoeachi says, "Hang on I got order on delilvery."

Shinann says, "I think they want power and just took it."

Puptilian says, "Or a hunger for power."

Speaking softly to Amos, Chandrellia asks, "Depends on what they want for an outcome yes?"

Leafiara offers, "Maybe some of these concerns would be clarified if they'd actually come to speak with the people." [no response to this at the moment, but we'll circle back]

Amos laughs at Puptilian!

Amos holds his sides and lets out a rumbling belly laugh.

Leafiara says, "Or alleviated, I should say."

Darcena asks, "Did the Consortium tell Dunigan what they expect to happen around town leading to Dunigan arresting my captain?"

Amos asks, "Dakris? Power hungry?"

Amos chuckles.

Darcena says, "Let's just get real frank here."

Darcena says, "This is what I care about."

Puptilian says, "Slim hung on for power and see where he is now. Stone was another."

Leafiara concedes, "While I fully realize Dakris--nor Larton, for that matter, and especially not Larsya--strike as power hungry..."

Puptilian says, "As much as I pain to say bad, Walkar was the same."

Speaking to Amos, Ycelacie says, "If I may."

Puptilian says, "So was Chaston."

Puptilian asks, "Should I go on?"

Leafiara frankly says, "Rumors always fly in this town, Lion."

Amos says, "I am unsure when the captains attacked the armigers. Before the Consortium I believe? It has been a busy few weeks."

Leafiara says, "Best to come forward and speak with the people openly, at least."

Darcena says, "It didn't sound so."

Omeira carefully places a bright orange pumpkin-painted case on the floor.

Omeira says, "Delivery."

Ycelacie shows Amos her ivory parchment.

Speaking cautiously to Puptilian, Yardie asks, "I don't claim to know much, but would it be fair to compare Slim to the Furrier?"

Leafiara clarifies, "The captains never attacked the armigers."

Shinann says, "We did not attack anyone."

Amos peers quizzically at Ycelacie.

Stormyrain points at Leafiara.

Stormyrain adopts an agreeable expression.

Darcena says, "The Mayor did."

Speaking to Amos, Ycelacie says, "I suspect that the guard itself cannot finance this."

Darcena folds her arms over her chest.

Stormyrain folds her arms over her chest.

Stormyrain casually glances at Darcena.

Leafiara agrees, "Also true."

Stormyrain adopts an agreeable expression.

Speaking to Stormyrain, Darcena says, "I'm not lying."

Leafiara grins.

Stormyrain says, "You are not."

Speaking to Amos, Ycelacie asks, "Why so interested?"

Speaking to Yardie, Puptilian says, "Actually Slim was a lowly little guy that clung to Stone's coattails."

Speaking cautiously to Puptilian, Yardie asks, "But again, in the same status as the Furrier?"

Darcena says, "I can't support any entity pulling the strings that results in my pack and my captain getting arrested."

Amos says, "Ah, the Mayor, not the Captains."

Kiwoeachi says, "Ahh."

Amos shrugs.

Leafiara nods briefly at Amos.

Madmountan says, "Slim was definitely shady."

Ycelacie stares at Amos.

Amos says, "Details, none of which matter right now."

Speaking to Puptilian, Dergoatean says, "I thought it was Cross that set him all undead like."

Leafiara admits, "A couple others here as well, but... it's behind us."

Speaking flatly to Amos, Darcena says, "They matter to me."

Fahlo says, "Looks like he's not answering anything worth listening to."

Darcena adds, "And your pretty eyes aren't going to distract that."

Speaking to Leafiara, Hapenlok says, "Just say my name. For the love of-"

Chandrellia softly says, "What else is new."

Hapenlok says, "I make my own bed, here."

Speaking lightly to Hapenlok, Leafiara says, "Well, you went further with a bounty on Dunigan's head."

Hapenlok begins chortling at Leafiara.

Amos says, "You'll forgive me, there's several questions at once..."

Speaking to Dergoatean, Puptilian says, "At the end it was Cross controlled by Althedeus but he worked with Stone before leaving the town."

Speaking to Amos, Goldstr asks, "So wha does matter?"

Shinann says, "I suppose truth does not matter to you."

Amos says, "...and enough posturing to chill even the hearth."

Kiwoeachi says, "The bottles are special reserve."

Amos smirks.

Kiwoeachi says, "From a winery."

Speaking to Hapenlok, Madmountan says, "Just don't light the bed on fire by accident."

Shinann says, "Continue..."

Speaking to Yardie, Puptilian says, "Until I hear from this group, including the furrier, anything is suspect."

Kiwoeachi says, "So delicious."

Leafiara reiterates, "The number of questions are why it would be good for the Consortium members to hold a public meeting or something to that effect. But, of course, since you're their leader of sorts, I suppose you'll do for a start."

Leafiara grins at Amos.

Kiwoeachi says, "Mm nutmeg, cinnamon, and cloves."

Amos says, "I am happy to answer any questions you have of the Cosortium. Truly, I represent them."

Amos says, "They selected me to do just that."

Chandrellia softly asks, "Selected? by choice or by threat?"

Amos begins chuckling at Chandrellia!

Speaking to Chandrellia, Hapenlok murmurs, "That was my line."

Speaking to Amos, Silvynn asks, "Have you anything of substance to say?"

Amos says, "Done with pleasantries then, aren't we."

Speaking softly to Hapenlok, Chandrellia says, "Hey great minds think alike."

Leafiara says, "You represent them, but you can't explain what their primary concerns are or who even started them. It's pretty curious, one has to admit."

Leafiara glances at Amos.

Speaking softly to Amos, Chandrellia asks, "Oh sorry, were we suppose to have plesantries?"

Kiwoeachi asks, "If a whale poops in the forest does that make me a clown?"

Amos says, "I did answer who started them. You did not perhaps like my answer."

Speaking to Leafiara, Dergoatean says, "If I didn't know any better, I'd think he wasn't good for anything at all."

Ycelacie smiles at Amos.

Speaking to Amos, Ycelacie says, "Very pleased to meet you."

Madmountan exclaims, "You find some forest ambergris!"

Leafiara says, "I could've sworn you just said you don't remember, and they came from a variety of concerns."

Leafiara cocks her head at Amos.

Speaking to Leafiara, Dergoatean says, "And come to think of it, I'm not altogether certain that I do."

Speaking to Amos, Silvynn says, "In truth you have said very little other than meandering idle talk."

Speaking to Amos, Silvynn asks, "Have you a point to make?"

Amos says, "I said it was ideas from all of us, sharing our concerns, discussing our ideas. There is power in unity, in collaboration. Our conversations led to the creation of the Consortium. I cannot credit just one person."

Amos says, "So if you wish to hate one of us, you must hate us all."

Amos shrugs.

Hapenlok says, "Well, some of those merchants he named previously, have been known to follow wherever the wind blows, as it were."

Speaking to Amos, Goldstr asks, "Have you invested er otherwise have shares in some if nae all of da Consortium's businesses now?"

Leafiara opines, "I think that would depend on holding conversations with the rest of them."

Goldstr peers quizzically at Amos.

Speaking to Amos, Puptilian says, "Dont think it's hate, it's uncertainty that bothers people."

Speaking to Amos, Dergoatean says, "There is no freedom greater than that of freedom to hate the precise set of individuals one so pleases to hate."

Amos says, "I benefit from Wehnimer's Landing success, yes."

Amos nods at Goldstr.

Amos says, "We all do."

Speaking to Amos, Dergoatean says, "And you, sir, will not usurp that right this night."

Speaking to Amos, Hapenlok asks, "But I suppose the implication is that if we attempt to oppose you, you've got the weight of Bourth behind your ...faction, for lack of a better term?"

Speaking to Amos, Silvynn says, "If you are their spokesman it is plain you have nothing of substance to say."

Speaking softly to Hapenlok, Chandrellia says, "I just call em thugs."

Speaking curiously to Amos, Guarrin asks, "I don't suppose you know how Renpaw is faring on his...travels?"

Speaking to Amos, Hapenlok asks, "Because you've managed to trick a twelve year old into doing your bidding?"

Orderly Proceedings

Leafiara says, "There's nothing wrong with forming a collective of merchants, in and of itself, and that's precisely why it's so strange that details are so... scant."

Amos looks over at Guarrin and shakes his head.

Goldstr says, "Ye mean to Gain."

Amos asks, "What details are you lacking Mayor?"

Speaking to Amos, Leafiara says, "The Consortium's general goals, concerns, motivations."

Zurya asks, "You're new here. Why'd they pick you and not one of these pillar of the community types?"

Leafiara says, "Perhaps more importantly, statements from the individuals."

Zurya hesitantly says, "I'm new, and no one much listens to me."

Shinann agrees with Zurya.

Shinann says, "You are right."

Speaking to Zurya, Puptilian says, "Very good point."

Leafiara reluctantly acknowledges, "To be fair... Dakris, Larton, Kilron, and Walward aren't exactly pillars of the community either. And Larsya's not even a citizen."

Dergoatean says, "But I LIKED Larsya."

Amos says, "Our goals are simple. We want order within the town. Chaos drives away business, endangers lives, and suffocates our people and our promise. Our concerns? As I mentioned. Our motivation? It ties in the same."

Leafiara calmly asks, "Alright. And what would this order entail or look like, ideally?"

Chandrellia softly mutters, "He is the lead in chaos."

Hapenlok acidly adds, "A bunch of Bourthian soldiers keeping ...order?"

Leafiara assures, "Because it's never going to look like the order of various baronies, that I promise."

Speaking to Amos, Stormyrain inquires, "Who determines what 'order' looks like?"

Guarrin whispers something to Cryheart.

Amos says, "That remains to be seen. It is not solely up to me. We will of course update you on any of the decisions of the Consortium, and any ideas they present."

Leafiara looks thoughtfully at Amos.

Cryheart whispers something to Guarrin.

Stormyrain folds her hands behind her back.

Amos says, "For now, one of the first things, is pooling some of our resources. Providing some additional protection to our town's merchants. There is chaos in the streets, you are aware."

Speaking to Leafiara, Silvynn says, "He has nothing to offer other than vague innuendo."

Raelee asks, "... do you not wonder what threats you may miss when you frame everything as a vector for an Imperial takeover?"

Speaking softly to Leafiara, Chandrellia says, "Well, we could always close down the shops until all this is sorted, I know it wouldn't be ideal, but hey, lights a fire under their.... well you get the idea."

Raelee glances between Hapenlok and Leafiara.

Cryheart whispers something to Guarrin.

Speaking offhandedly to Raelee, Leafiara says, "Not my point. Hap's, maybe, but my point is our laws are very different from the Empire's and remain so even when we're not under attack."

Speaking to Amos, Stormyrain asks, "And to add to who determines what order looks like, what methods will the Consortium use? Will you stay within the law of the town? Will you create a new law? Will you operate outside of it?"

Speaking to Amos, Leafiara says, "That goal of protection would seem to be at odds with arresting our militia captains, but thankfully we were able to speak with Dunigan and... at least temporarily resolved the matter."

Amos says, "Of course we must respect laws."

Kiwoeachi exclaims, "Foh yea baby!"

Speaking to Amos, Shinann asks, "Does this consortium recognize the Mayor as the leader of the town?"

Amos says, "Chaos fighting chaos, is still chaos."

Speaking to Leafiara, Raelee says, "... I do not think Imperial law would favor Amos here either. I rather suspect that is not the goal."

Chandrellia softly says, "I see laws, and them working outside it."

Kiwoeachi says, "Don't worry friends."

Kiwoeachi says, "We'll just go to Teras and hang out until this all blows over."

Amos says, "There is no goal of turning this town and its area into the Barony of Darkstone, if that is your worry."

Amos chuckles.

Akenna asks, "The goal seems to be to protect the town, more importantly the town's merchants. However, I don't understand why you didn't come to the mayor for that?"

Speaking to Amos, Leafiara says, "Out of curiosity, Amos... why exactly did you move here? I realize I've asked before, and last time you said it was to expand business."

Earthdiver says, "That has a nice ring to it, though."

Akenna says, "Or the council."

Shinann says, "That answered nothing."

Leafiara says, "But it seems you don't especially like our way of life around here."

Speaking to Shinann, Puptilian says, "Noticed that too."

Speaking to Akenna, Guarrin says, "I believe the current state of the town may have something to do with that."

Amos asks, "I don't? How do you suppose that?"

Amos peers quizzically at Leafiara.

Amos asks, "I'm sorry, what was your question?"

Amos peers quizzically at Shinann.

Cryheart says, "The folks are concerned with the infighting which results from controlling factions wanting to be the controller."

Kiwoeachi says, "Everyone giving Amos the fifth degree."

Speaking to Amos, Leafiara, "I believe it was our first or second meeting when you said this is a 'wild town with unfortunate manners'. I've certainly not forgotten it."

Leafiara looks thoughtful for a moment, then shrugs.

Kiwoeachi says, "Can't trust that one."

Shinann says, "Does the Consortium recognize the mayor as the leader of the town."

Amos asks, "Is that untrue?"

Amos peers quizzically at Leafiara.

Shinann says, "Was what I asked..."

Leafiara says, "It's a wild town. The unfortunate manners are your perspective."

Shinann shifts her weight.

Speaking to Evii, Kiwoeachi says, "Good thing is he's nearly deaf."

Leafiara asks, "Hence I ask... why come here instead of anywhere else?"

Leafiara peers quizzically at Amos.

Amos says, "Of course the position of mayor is seen as the official leader of the town. That is what they are elected to do. Represent the people, obey the laws."

Kiwoeachi says, "So rude."

Amos says, "I said unfortunate, not unwelcome."

Amos chuckles.

Leafiara sighs.

Speaking to Amos, Leafiara asks, "...do you like it here, then? I'll ask that instead. And not now, when we're beset with enemies, but when you first moved here, did you like our town?"

Leafiara says, "As long as you're here to protect what we are, perhaps we have no problem."

Speaking in Guildspeak to Raelee, Hapenlok says something you don't understand.

Leafiara says, "But that's the very question, at least to me."

Speaking in Guildspeak to Raelee, Hapenlok says something you don't understand.

Amos says, "There is much promise here. I would not be here, if I did not like it."

Speaking in Guildspeak to Raelee, Hapenlok says something you don't understand.

Leafiara looks thoughtfully at Amos.

Amos says, "I do not waste my time."

Leafiara nods slowly.

Amos says, "You may even ask Thadston that."

Speaking in Guildspeak to Hapenlok, Raelee says something you don't understand.

Goldstr mutters promise=profit.

Leafiara politely says, "Back to the others' questions, then."

Leafiara chuckles.

Amos smirks.

Speaking quietly in Guildspeak to Hapenlok, Akenna observes something you don't understand.

Speaking in Guildspeak to Akenna, Hapenlok asks something you don't understand.

A Welcome Ally

Speaking curiously to Amos, Ycelacie asks, "So where are you staying in town?"

Amos says, "I would hope you would see the Consortium as a welcome ally, when we seem to be so short on those currently."

Speaking in Guildspeak to Hapenlok, Akenna says something you don't understand.

Speaking softly to Ycelacie, Chandrellia says, "Here, this is his bulding he bought it."

Speaking in Guildspeak to Akenna, Hapenlok says something you don't understand.

Amos grins at Ycelacie.

Amos nods.

Ycelacie says, "Oh."

Speaking softly to Amos, Chandrellia asks, "And who says we are short on allies?"

Ycelacie smiles at Amos.

Speaking sincerely to Amos, Ycelacie says, "Very nice."

Amos asks, "You are not?"

Speaking softly to Amos, Chandrellia says, "I thought you would see more than you have, but it's not my place to say."

Chandrellia smiles at Amos.

Speaking to Amos, Yardie admits, "It's no secret the Landing is divided. Been that way for a while, but that's just me."

Leafiara says, "As long as there are no more captain-arresting incidents, it's at very least possible that things simply got off to a bad start. I'll just reiterate again that having more of their members speak with the people would be of great help in alleviating concerns."

Leafiara measuredly says, "And if that doesn't happen, then I did give fair warning about the rampant rumors."

Speaking to Amos, Hapenlok says, "I've got a question that's been gnawing at me for a bit. Maybe you can provide some insight."

Speaking to Amos, Silvynn says, "Order in the Landing is neither your affair or concern. You would do well to remember that. That is the concern of our Mayor, town council and our militia. The former and latter are both represented here now."

Leafiara mutters, "Just look at the Daily Darkstone. Interesting choice of name there too."

Speaking to Amos, Hapenlok says, "That's somewhat related to this ...Consortium business. Since you've been cozying up to the young Lasy Caulfield."

Speaking sarcastically to Amos, Ycelacie says, "Yeah, no one here cares about your interests."

Amos says, "Your marshall, the third one? is dead. The second one is a drunk, haunted man. The first, well, he's home, but a wild orc. Your militia is broken, your guards are overwhelmed and needed assistance. There's a blood cult bleeding your people, a lich king raising corpses for his army, there's two criminal organizations fighting night and day, and you're five seconds from hanging an imperial girl because of paranoia...."

Amos says, "I would say allies are few and far between at this moment."

Amos chuckles.

Maerit asks, "All in a day's work?"

Leafiara suddenly says, "Hey, none of us have any trouble with Larsya."

Leafiara concedes, "... that I know of."

Amos says, "Convince me I'm wrong, and you can ask another question."

Amos chuckles.

Speaking to himself, Yardie mutters, "He's not wrong."

Speaking to Leafiara, Dergoatean says, "I do kind of miss playing pirates with her."

Speaking to Amos, Silvynn says, "And yet we have endured very well without your presence this far. I see little value in what you offer."

Amos begins chuckling at Silvynn!

Speaking offhandedly to Dergoatean, Leafiara says, "Maybe you'll have your chance soon. Never know."

Speaking to Amos, Hapenlok says, "Just about everyone in this room, risked a lot to save her life, friend."

Amos asks, "The order of the town is not my affair?"

Amos peers quizzically at Silvynn.

Guarrin mentions, "I would hope that she is in no danger."

Speaking softly to Amos, Chandrellia says, "Again, apparently your eyes have been elsewhere rather then around here, Thadston, is coming around just fine, he has great help from us to get him straight."

Speaking to Amos, Hapenlok asks, "What have you done for her lately?"

Speaking to Amos, Silvynn says, "It is most definitely not your concern."

Speaking to Amos, Dergoatean says, "We unraveled a being that was on the verge of turning this realm into a nightmare, while fending off both Elithain Cross and Grisham Stone. All this is just... Niiman."

Amos asks, "He has had your help?"

Amos peers quizzically at Chandrellia.

Amos begins chuckling at Dergoatean!

Speaking to Guarrin, Stormyrain murmurs, "I'm quite certain that most people in this room have at one point, or another, offered or given their life to protect the Little Lady. I don't think anyone means her harm."

Amos taps his nose.

Speaking softly to Amos, Chandrellia says, "In a matter of speaking, yes, he has help from every person here in one form or another."

Speaking to Amos, Dergoatean asks, "How many realm destroyers have YOU unraveled?"

Speaking to Dergoatean, Hapenlok says, "Some of us even battled gods."

Madmountan says, "Yes, let's have Amos commune with the spirit of Althedeus. Sounds like a good Restday evening."

Amos asks, "You are a citizen. Is the Landing's order and safety not your concern?"

Amos peers quizzically at Silvynn.

Speaking to Amos, Dergoatean asks, "How many Arcane Eyes have you fought off?"

Yardie whispers something to Akenna.

Speaking to Amos, Silvynn says, "It is our concern. Not yours."

Speaking to Amos, Dergoatean asks, "How many incarnadine rotting chimeras have you mounted and ridden?"

Amos says, "I am a citizen."

Amos asks, "Am I less of one than you?"

Amos peers quizzically at Silvynn.

Amos grins at Dergoatean.

Speaking to Amos, Dergoatean asks, "How many times have you beaten back a host of demons at the Wall?"

Madmountan exclaims, "Pylon lessons all around!"

Roelaren says, "Mm."

Amos says, "I knew a woman once, might have passed for one of those."

Amos nods at Dergoatean.

Amos smirks.

Cryheart says, "Lord Amos, do not forget we are a proctectorate of Hendor, and we have friends in Vornavis, as well as the County of Bourth."

Common Concerns

Speaking to Amos, Dergoatean says, "I think we can take care of things here just fine, thanks."

Speaking to Amos, Silvynn says, "No doubt that is a clerical error. Doubt you would pass muster for citizenship."

Speaking to Amos, Dergoatean says, "And sure, what the chivalrous shiny one said."

Leafiara agrees, "I'm with Goat in this matter. We've faced drastically more serious issues than this, with or without Imperial help."

Cryheart says, "If something happens to her ladyship, Larsya..I imagine Baron Caulfield will nae be happy."

Leafiara says, "And it's surprising that the Consortium is so concerned, since so many of them have lived through these very things."

Amos says, "Perhaps that is why they are so concerned."

Speaking to Cryheart, Goldstr says, "Nor us."

Amos says, "They are tired."

Speaking to Cryheart, Hapenlok says, "Bugger that, *I* won't be happy."

Leafiara glances appraisingly at Amos.

Speaking to Leafiara, Yardie says, "Mayor, just because they've lived through it, does not mean they've been content with it."

Chandrellia softly mutters, "Or threatened."

Speaking politely to Leafiara, Yardie says, "Desperation leads to desperate measures. And for the accomplisments and accolades listed, I do not think the Consortium cares, when in regards to maintaining their livelihood."

Amos says, "They barely survive in your shadow. They hope, they pray, they hide, they rebuild. They do it all over again. For every demon, for every worldbreaker, for every incarnadine chimera, for every monster or man you so openly boast about..."

Amos says, "You have forgotten them in your own glory."

Leafiara admits, "I don't see what exactly the armigers would do if something more like Raznel's armies of minions returned to fight us. Apparently some have a different perspective."

Leafiara looks thoughtfully at Amos.

Speaking softly to Amos, Chandrellia says, "Wrong."

Amos says, "They are tired of always fighting to survive, and some of them are tired of you."

Amos says, "Their words, not mine."

Speaking to Amos, Dergoatean asks, "And so you're the solution, hm? You and some.. armigers?"

Leafiara says, "You're saying we've lost sight of the common person's concerns, then."

Speaking to Leafiara, Dergoatean says, "He thinks the answer is armigers."

Leafiara says, "Of being weak in a threatening world."

Speaking to Cryheart, Dergoatean says, "Armigers."

Leafiara mumbles, "No wonder Yardie's the one trying to explain this too."

Cryheart says, "Hired thugs."

Speaking hurriedly to Yardie, Leafiara says, "No offense."

Speaking to Amos, Silvynn says, "You speak alot but say very little."

Speaking to Leafiara, Yardie says, "Now take that statement, and imagine if it wasn't me, but one of the Consortium you just said that too."

Speaking to Amos, Goldstr says, "Have da Consotium get rid a dem Mercenary Armigers an we may comes to some kinda terms."

Speaking to Leafiara, Yardie asks, "I'm used to it, scathing as it is. Are they?"

Amos says, "Maybe you speak much, listen little."

Amos nods at Silvynn.

Speaking earnestly to Yardie, Leafiara says, "I'd like to say it to them, but they won't come out."

Amos says, "The Armigers are necessary at the moment."

Speaking to Amos, Dergoatean says, "You're more than welcome to offer aid to the people of this town. There's no reason to involve hired muscle in that."

Speaking to Amos, Puptilian says, "These people here say we forget the common person? The same people that rebuild this town with their own hands with the common people. The same people that donate money to the orphange. The same people that deliver babies, hunt for food when food was low. The same people that stand in front of evil to protect those that can't fight."

Goldstr exclaims, "Pshaa!"

Puptilian says, "Yes of course, we forget about the common townspeople."

Speaking to Amos, Silvynn says, "It is not even clear you speak for the Consortium much less the citizens of the Landing."

Puptilian rolls his eyes.

Amos says, "Perceptions are a tricky thing."

Amos nods at Puptilian.

Chandrellia softly says, "And yours is way off."

Leafiara agrees, "Yes, which is why more of the Consortium should speak with us and set the record straight."

Amos shrugs at Chandrellia.

Amos says, "I disagree with them, in this regard."

Amos says, "But I can see their perspective, and I can work to help blend reality and perceptions."

Amos says, "For that, they selected me. For that, they respect me."

Leafiara says, "If they've been unsatisfied with the town's defenders, please, let them come forward and tell us. It would mean more coming from them who have lived through these past challenges, than from you who haven't."

Leafiara looks thoughtful for a moment, then shrugs.

Amos asks, "...come forward and tell you?"

Amos holds his sides and lets out a rumbling belly laugh.

Leafiara says, "Yes."

Amos asks, "To have this happen to them?"

Leafiara peers quizzically at Amos.

Amos asks, "A thousand accusations, hostile questions, and bristling?"

Amos says, "I am trying to protect them as much as protect the town."

Speaking to Amos, Silvynn asks, "If they selected you it is evident that you are not a spokesman. What is your role?"

Leafiara says, "They've lived here longer than you have. They're better known and wouldn't face the same level of scrutiny."

Kippe says, "-This- wouldn't be happening if they were here."

Leafiara nods at Kippe.

Speaking to Amos, Dergoatean says, "They haven't ordered armigers to arrest official town defense. They can expect a different welcome."

Speaking to Amos, Hapenlok asks, "Are they in seclusion, much like our Judge is? ....visiting family?"

Speaking to Dergoatean, Leafiara agrees, "Yeah, that too."

Speaking to Silvynn, Dergoatean exclaims, "Armigers!"

Amos says, "We can split hairs on the armiger situation."

Speaking softly to Amos, Chandrellia says, "We see and deal with them everyday, we know them, we say good morning or good night, they are apart of us, unlike you."

Speaking to Dergoatean, Silvynn asks, "Intimidation then?"

Amos says, "I agree they should have not reacted so. That was wrong. I am sure you can argue preventing the apprehension of a wanted vigilante is also wrong."

Amos says, "Chaos, chaos."

Amos says, "Is chaos."

Zurya asks, "Sorry, did you say selected or elected?"

Zurya says, "I might not have heard you right."

Speaking softly to Amos, Chandrellia says, "Rone? Isn't wanted."

Leafiara assures, "We will fight harder than ever, we will give more than ever, and we will do more than ever--if we're asked to. If we're asked to by the very people who you say are troubled, while you say you're not."

Leafiara glances at Amos.

Defensive Maneuvers

Speaking to Amos, Dergoatean says, "Acting like you're law enforcement, out of nowhere, is how we get chaos."

Amos says, "Rone was, at the time."

Amos nods at Chandrellia.

Amos says, "The Town Council agreed and originally financed the armigers, at Dunigan's request."

Amos nods at Dergoatean.

Chandrellia softly says, "Yeah, at his request, which seems odd."

Amos says, "I have since helped alleviate some of that financial burden."

Amos says, "Along with the Consortium."

Speaking to Amos, Goldstr exclaims, "An den Dunigan found powers!"

Speaking to Amos, Dergoatean says, "And they gave them the rights to arrest whoever they see fit? I'd like to see the paperwork."

Speaking to Amos, Silvynn asks, "Who finances the armigers now?"

Leafiara says, "I still can't imagine why this was considered a good idea when the Knave's primary resource is money. Even more surprised he hasn't outbid yet."

Amos says, "The Consortium finances the armigers."

Speaking to Amos, Hapenlok says, "Honestly, did you get cheap when you hired them? They're a bit ...inept."

Speaking softly to Leafiara, Chandrellia says, "I think they mean to buy out the town, put their silvers into this Consortium, make improvements, then say hey, you use this much sliver."

Speaking to Amos, Hapenlok says, "I'm understating things: they're very inept. They fall down too easily."

Amos says, "Surely the Knave cannot have endless resources."

Amos says, "Hence, part of the reasoning for the Consortium."

Leafiara agrees, "Indeed, I said as much in one of our previous meetings."

Speaking softly to Amos, Chandrellia says, "Depends on where those resources are comming from."

Leafiara reasons, "With any luck, we're getting close to running him dry."

Chandrellia glances at Amos.

Goldstr exclaims, "Hiring outside mercenaries an nae askin da Town Militia, Council, an mayor was wrong!"

Amos says, "The pooling of resources, of infuence, of wealth."

Amos says, "If the Knave can throw money at trying to bleed the town, some of us can throw money at trying to restore the town."

Amos shrugs.

Speaking to Goldstr, Guarrin says, "Apparently the mercenaries were approved by the council."

Ycelacie says, "Would be well spent."

Speaking softly to Amos, Chandrellia asks, "Is that what you are doing with her Ladyshp? Using her for her reources, influence and wealth?"

Leafiara musingly says, "Odd. I'll have to ask Alendrial why she thought that was wise."

Roelaren says, "Yes tis wrong but being used as a way to create chaos and used as a distraction, for what we don't know."

Amos begins chuckling at Chandrellia!

Speaking to Amos, Goldstr says, "On a side note, rumor has it ye be supplyin arms to da Knave and da Cult."

Speaking curiously to Amos, Chandrellia says, "Just wondering."

Shinann gives a sidelong glance at Goldstr.

Speaking to Shinann, Goldstr says, "Whats I heard."

Amos says, "The militia was broken. Thadston was exiled from his position and Khylon was killed. The town guard was depleted and overun. The armigers served a purpose."

Amos says, "They still do, for now."

Speaking to Leafiara, Silvynn says, "I suspect we would get a more direct and straighforward answer from a rolton than will be given from the spokesman of the Consortium tonight."

Hapenlok mutters, "Free target practice."

Dergoatean says, "Armigers, he says."

Amos says, "In time, they will not, and they will move on, to their next coin."

Speaking softly to Amos, Chandrellia asks, "For whose purpose? yours?"

Amos says, "When the town's local defense can grow and walk again."

Leafiara simply says, "Let's certainly hope that's the case."

Speaking softly to Amos, Chandrellia says, "I see our town defences walking around rather well, after all we did walk in here this eve."

Cryheart says, "That is the problem with hired mercenaries, they belong to the coin."

Amos says, "I believe the words you might have been looking for all night are 'thank you.'"

Amos smirks.

Chandrellia softly says, "No, the words I have been looking for I cant say...."

Guarrin says, "Focusing on the mercenaries while the town is crumbling around us may not be beneficial."

Silvynn says, "Same could be said of those that have divided loyalties."

Speaking to Amos, Dergoatean says, "I believe the words you've been looking for are "I'll try not to let the gate hit my backside on the way out of town."."

Amos says, "But truthfully, I don't help because I have a fondness for your smiles, or your children."

Speaking to Amos, Hapenlok says, "You know, I came here in a time where there wasn't much of a standing militia to speak of. We managed to survive. And thrive. Hochstib once learned that lesson. The Hard way."

Amos says, "There is profit to be made in this town, but not with it overrun with chaos."

Speaking to Amos, Hapenlok says, "You'd do well to remember that."

Amos nods at Akenna.

Roelaren asks, "He has no fondness for our children is that a threat?"

Speaking to Amos, Goldstr says, "Least ye sayin yer truth now."

Speaking softly to Leafiara, Chandrellia says, "Well, maybe on a good note we should leave the factions, maybe the 'profit' will grow small and he will leave on his own."

Speaking to Amos, Silvynn says, "The town is not going to conform to the whims of the Consortium."

Amos asks, "The whims?"

Amos peers quizzically at Silvynn.

Speaking softly to Amos, Chandrellia says, "He didn't stutter."

Speaking quietly to Silvynn, Beldannon asks, "Conform? preform? deform? reform?"

Amos asks, "Do you truly think the Consortium is some sort of shadowy organization bent on enslaving you?"

Speaking softly to Amos, Chandrellia says, "We don't know, they hide behind their doors for whatever reason."

Goldstr says, "Da Consortium pays der taxes our Town kin pay fer better defense."

Cryheart whispers something to Mynon.

Dergoatean says, "At best, a useless wannabe hero. At worst, a useless wannabe crime boss."

Amos chuckles.

Leafiara pointedly says, "And there's also a concern about it being the other way around."

Speaking to Amos, Silvynn says, "Perhaps because your own speech wanders aimlessly, you do not discern a direct comment when it is spoken to you."

Amos says, "For all of your boasting earlier, you forgot one simple shared truth among it all."

Speaking to Amos, Silvynn says, "You are meddling in matters that are not your concern. Continue at your own peril."

Hapenlok exclaims, "Oh, wait! This is going to be good!"

(Hapenlok holds up one finger.)

Hapenlok says, "Wait for it...."

Amos says, "It took Elithain to help you defeat Stone. Later, it took Stone to help you defeat Elithain. It took you Aralyte to defeat Athedeus. It took you the Alchemist to stop Kragnack. It took you two baronies to stop Hochstib."

Amos asks, "You have done nothing alone. Who does?"

Amos says, "So do not cut down your greatest ally in this."

Speaking to Amos, Dergoatean asks, "What have you defeated?"

Speaking to himself, Guarrin mutters, "Someone has brushed up on his history."

Beldannon quietly says, "It took Rysus to defeat Drangell etc."

Leafiara says, "If our greatest ally in this is a slew of hired mercenaries, we've got even bigger problems than I thought."

Dergoatean exasperatedly exclaims, "Armigers!"

Speaking to Amos, Silvynn says, "And yet we endured."

Speaking to Amos, Goldstr exclaims, "Ye jess proved yerself wrong .. WE Have Allies!"

Speaking to Amos, Hapenlok says, "You never fail to disappoint."

Amos asks, "You think the armigers are the extent of the Consortium's influence and reach?"

Speaking softly to Amos, Chandrellia says, "And you are forgetting one simple truth, we come together as a town, as one unit to do what we must for the betterment of the town."

Speaking to Amos, Dergoatean says, "No, not at all."

Speaking to Amos, Leafiara replies, "Are they going to prove otherwise?"

Speaking quietly to Amos, Beldannon says, "Whether you are right or wrong you aren't going to convince anyone here I am sure. People are set in their ways. Sounds familiar in some way hmm."

Speaking softly to Amos, Chandrellia says, "And right now, you aren't it."

Ycelacie annoyedly asks, "Will you give him a chance to speak?"

Speaking to Amos, Dergoatean says, "They can also overcharge to pick locks and offer 35000 silver for crown jewels."

Speaking to Amos, Goldstr asks, "Dat a threat?"

Speaking to Amos, Dergoatean says, "It's an impressive set of superpowers."

Speaking softly to Ycelacie, Chandrellia says, "He is long winded, he never shuts up."

Speaking to Amos, Silvynn says, "Even if that were true, and that is suspect, you seem incapable of elaborating and explaining it."

Amos grins.

Hapenlok whispers something to Leafiara.

Speaking to Amos, Vaemyr says, "Honestly, I appreciate the help it seems you are providing. While there are certainly some unfortunate details it seems involved, I think working together would be best for our town in it's current situation."

Amos says, "I told them they were wrong."

Amos says, "But, they knew you better than I do, so I should have listened."

Speaking softly to Vaemyr, Chandrellia says, "He's the reason for this current situation, we never had this many issues all at once until he moved in."

Stormyrain murmurs, "Pardon me."

Stormyrain just went out.

Leafiara says, "There are a lot of things tonight you should be listening to as well. Hopefully you'll take our words here into consideration."

Amos says, "It is unfortunate you view the Consortium through the same lens you would enemies at your gates, or Rooks in your underbelly...sometimes."

Speaking to Chandrellia, Vaemyr says, "That is perhaps true as well, but the situation is what it is now, and we gotta deal with it."

Amos nods at Vaemyr.

Amos bows to Vaemyr.

Vaemyr bows to Amos.

Speaking to Amos, Dergoatean says, "Pledge to knock it off with the New Sheriff In Town nonsense and I'll change my tone very quickly."

Hapenlok whispers something to Leafiara.

Speaking softly to Vaemyr, Chandrellia says, "Oh I agree, which is why I vote to tar and feather him pack him up in his ship and send him off to sea."

Speaking to Amos, Goldstr exclaims, "I view da Consortium as jess misled by YE!"

Leafiara whispers something to Leafiara.

Amos says, "Fortunately, the Consortium's backing grows, and they do not need your validation. We will restore order and protect the town and its peoples' interest with or without your smiles."

Shinann says, "There you have it."

Chandrellia softly says, "And there it is."

Cryheart asks, "So ye will take control regardless?"

Amos asks, "Control?"

Speaking softly to Cryheart, Chandrellia says, "He'll try."

Amos gazes in wonder at his surroundings.

Goldstr says, "Dat do sounds like a threat."

Amos says, "I stand here, with a Mayor, with a militia Captain..."

Speaking to Amos, Hapenlok says, "You know, in terms of my list of threats? You, our weakest-willed merchants and the implied threat that the Lady Larsya would send forth the full weight and fury of the Bourthian contingent at us....doesn't impress me very much."

Cryheart says, "You stated they do not need validation."

Leafiara agreeably says, "If you don't need our aid, we'll certainly not offer it."

Roelaren says, "There it is, the reason for the veiled threats and chaos."

Amos says, "I see no chains. No cells."

Maerit says, "Everyone always so hostile."

Speaking to Amos, Silvynn says, "Perhaps your offer would gain more attention in the Kobold village."

Speaking to Roelaren, Guarrin says, "The chaos was already here."

Speaking to Silvynn, Dergoatean says, "I hear they have an Armigers Wanted ad up."

Amos says, "It was not a veiled threat."

Speaking softly to Silvynn, Chandrellia says, "Naw, even they are smarter then that."

Amos says, "As I said, perception is a tricky thing."

Speaking to Amos, Silvynn says, "If memory serves they speak as you do."

Speaking to Amos, Hapenlok says, "Point taken."

Leafiara says, "The chaos has always been here. It's what happens in a free town of all races and cultures."

Amos says, "You perceive yourself in a position to say yes or no to the Consortium. You are not."

Speaking to Guarrin, Roelaren says, "To an extent but nothing as much as it has been for the past months."

Chandrellia softly says, "And diversity."

Goldstr says, "We will see bout dat."

Speaking to Amos, Hapenlok says, "Well, for my part? My attention is going to be where it has been. Stone, Knave, and Slim."

Speaking softly to Amos, Chandrellia asks, "Oh aren't we?"

Speaking to Roelaren, Guarrin asks, "Agreed. Whose fault is that?"

Amos says, "If you wish to pass laws that forbid merchants from organizing and pooling resources, then pass one."

Amos asks, "Speak to the new Judge...Manard, was his name, yes?"

Leafiara says, "So we've heard."

Amos says, "Speak to him. Work hard to undercut your own people and allies."

Speaking to Guarrin, Roelaren says, "Perhaps we are speaking to the reason."

Chandrellia softly says, "And I wonder who had a hand in that."

Speaking to Amos, Hapenlok says, "But eventually? It's going to only be you left."

Goldstr says, "We has no new Judge."

Speaking to Hapenlok, Dergoatean says, "That is, if he's left."

Chandrellia softly says, "Judge Renpaw is simply on a short vacation and will return soon."

Leafiara frankly says, "I don't see a reason to speak with a judge who so happens to be the nephew of one of the Consortium, about the Consortium."

Speaking to Amos, Hapenlok says, "Percieve my intentions, there, Merchant."

Amos says, "Sticky that."

Leafiara says, "But even if I did... no, there is nothing wrong with pooling resources."

Amos nods at Leafiara.

Speaking to Roelaren, Guarrin asks, "So he organized the return of Malluch and brought a lich back?"

Leafiara says, "There's simply something highly suspicious about none of them coming to share their concerns with us."

Amos asks, "Is there?"

Speaking softly to Leafiara, Chandrellia says, "And the players in the game."

Cryheart says, "It would help if there was a roundtable discussion with the mayor and what is left of the town council and the Consortium."

Leafiara says, "There is."

Shinann says, "Kilron is a strong enough personality to speak with us."

Leafiara says, "In this town, we argue and clash over a dozen things a night, sometimes more, and we come out stronger for it. But the key in all of it is to be forthright and open."

Amos says, "I have clawed my way out of a lion's den with less bite than you all bring sometimes."

Amos smirks.

Speaking to Guarrin, Roelaren says, "From what I am hearing here tonight he seems capable of many things dishonest."

Cryheart says, "To ease what misperception folks may hae."

Speaking softly to Amos, Chandrellia says, "Trust me you haven't seen our teeth yet."

Amos says, "They are tired of many things, and rightfully so, they do not wish to face such scrutiny and questions and politics."

Speaking to Cryheart, Dergoatean says, "Yes. A round table. Either a circle or oval would do."

Amos says, "They just want to survive, eat, and sleep peacefully."

Cryheart says, "Using your own words, perception..Lord Amos."

Leafiara asks, "They're tired of politics, yet several of them ran for the town council only months ago?"

Speaking to Cryheart, Goldstr asks, "LORD?"

Speaking to Amos, Hapenlok asks, "What'd you threaten them with, Amos?"

Speaking to Amos, Hapenlok asks, "What possible leverage could you have gotten?"

Hapenlok says, "Interesting."

Cryheart says, "Well...he appears to hae a title."

Cryheart says, "So will deem some respect of that."

Amos says, "We, is not all. You all speak openly. You all banter, fight, bicker, disagree, and wield great might and strength and survive to tell the tale, ten times over."

Amos says, "They are simple. They want peace, order, full bellies, happy hearts. They do not want to bicker and fight and banter."

Speaking to Amos, Yardie says, "They don't have that luxury, I presume."

Amos says, "All you do is fight."

Amos says, "Tell me I'm not wrong."

Speaking to Cryheart, Goldstr says, "I learned afer I could enter Hearthsone dem titles be meaningless. It be hows ye act get ye a LORD er SIR from me."

Leafiara admits, "Perhaps they're not only the ones tired. It's difficult to believe that those who won't even voice their concerns truly have them, or are truly passionate about them."

Speaking to Amos, Hapenlok says, "When the fight consistently gets brought to our gates? You're damn right we do."

Amos says, "Oh, rest assured, I will present this night to the Consortium."

Amos says, "I will encourage their voice."

Cryheart says, "Amos, all they are asking is a sit down with the Consortium."

Chandrellia softly says, "Then why not just pack up and move to a more quieter town say, River's Rest. Why would they stay here and deal with this for so long, then suddenly poof, not want it..."

Leafiara says, "That's the first relieving thing I've heard you say all night."

Amos says, "But I will be upfront with them in my warning."

Leafiara nods at Amos.

Cryheart says, "And ye are part of that."

Speaking to Cryheart, Guarrin says, "That seems a reasonable request for at least the Mayor and the council to speak with them."

Amos says, "Because I have given them a voice and a path."

Amos nods at Chandrellia.

Guarrin says, "So we can ensure there's no further...incidents."

Speaking softly to Amos, Chandrellia says, "You have given nothing."

Amos says, "Some of you swing first, speak last."

Speaking to Amos, Roelaren asks, "So what I am hearing is that ye want the population of this town to be fat, dumb and not raise any questions as to what you do?"

Amos says, "I have done the opposite."

Cryheart says, "That is true."

Speaking to Amos, Silvynn says, "You have spoken alot and said very little."

Cryheart says, "But come to the table for discussion, which may help allay the concerns."

Speaking to Amos, Shinann says, "You like fights. You said so yourself. Now, you speak of peace."

Shinann shakes her head.

Goldstr says, "His last few words folks have been bringin out many truths."

Amos says, "Fights? No."

Amos says, "I like the hunt."

Speaking to Leafiara, Silvynn says, "He talks in circles. Little is to be gained here."

Speaking softly to Amos, Chandrellia says, "Just listen to what was said."

Shinann says, "Thank you for clarifying."

Speaking to Silvynn, Leafiara says, "A shame."

Amos says, "Fighting accomplishes so little often. A hunt is marked by a clear predator and prey."

Shinann says, "Yes."

Amos says, "And in the end, there is always a trophy."

Speaking softly to Amos, Chandrellia says, "Oh most definitely and we have lots of skilled hunters."

Shinann says, "There is."

Cryheart says, "Depends on your perception."

Amos says, "As I said, I will share your concerns with the Consortium."

Speaking to Amos, Hapenlok says, "Just remember, your so-called trophy? ...might just wind up being a bit more hard to collect than you'll think it is."

Amos says, "I cannot force them to speak with you, but I will encourage it, with some caution."

Cryheart says, "Either way..that can reveal something."

Leafiara says, "We'll look forward to such a meeting."

Leafiara says, "As you said, they know us better than you do."

Speaking to Asben, Ycelacie muses, "I am getting sleepy, I think I will find a room here tonight."

Leafiara says, "So I'm confident it'll be more productive and less adversarial."

Amos says, "I am glad our....disagreements...at least subsided for that night in Jantalar, when you rescued Thrayzar."

Beldannon quietly says, "Although I am not sure I would necissarily come to a meeting, you all are pretty bloodthirsty all the time. Just saying."

Amos says, "Some good has come of our knowledge of each other."

Speaking politely to Leafiara, Yardie counters, "I think, the problem is, that we don't know them as well as we like to think. But again, thoughts from the outside looking in."

Cryheart says, "That door should always be open."

Speaking to Yardie, Leafiara says, "And that's all very well, and if so then we'd like to hear from them."

Guarrin whispers something to Mynon.

Earthdiver says, "It sounds as though there is a clear path toward compromise."

Vaemyr says, "I do think we'll figure out a way to work together and coexist."

Speaking to Leafiara, Yardie asks, "Which is fine. But just listening here, and I mean no disrespect. I'm essentially the 'weak' one here. But the idea of what they're saying is valid. If your response is to make assumptions about what they think, which has been done this eve, before listening to them speak, then why would they want to bother speaking?"

Ycelacie whispers something to Asben.

Speaking to Amos, Silvynn says, "You are fond of twisting the history of the Landing to your own purposes. We do not respond or give credence to veiled threats. We have been ally and enemies of many powerful forces. We are prepared for either one and it means little to us which one you pretend to be."

Goldstr says, "Less hopes dat."

Speaking to Yardie, Leafiara says, "We've made no assumptions. We've repeatedly asked for their presence to elaborate."

Amos nods at Raelee.

Hapenlok whispers something to Leafiara.

Cryheart says, "Let's leave the door open folks."

Speaking quietly to Amos, Beldannon says, "Good luck with all of this. Seems complicated."

Speaking carefully to Leafiara, Yardie says, "Just observations, is all."

Speaking to Cryheart, Silvynn asks, "Door open to Amos?"

Amos says, "The fire has lost its appeal."

Cryheart says, "At the least."

Amos says, "It has been an enlightening evening, nonetheless."

Amos says, "Good eve."

Speaking softly to Amos, Chandrellia exclaims, "Now get off my lawn!"

Earthdiver says, "I doubt anyone could disagree with the wishes of the citizenry. Of course no one (well, few) people want to be at constant war. But I also think few citizens could disagree that this is a dangerous place to live."

Amos bows.

Speaking to Amos, Hapenlok says, "Your shoes are on fire."

Speaking to Cryheart, Silvynn says, "Have heard all I care to hear."

Lord Amos just went out.
