Synopsis

Elidal arrives unannounced in Landing Town Square Central, saying he just returned from a meeting with Mayor Alendrial. He says that with both the Landing's people and the barony's people being affected by the growing threat of Darkstone Castle, they need to make sure they're communicating and planning together. Northern Sentinel Thadston is sending more soldiers to the outpost and Elidal wanted the townspeople prepared for the sight of Imperials and full tavern tables, as well as parchment merchants for the Black Thorns.

Alosaka asks if more settlers will come soon; Elidal says he hopes so, but no migration this winter. Kiyna and Councilor Kayse question the logic of bringing more settlers given the increasing danger and the uncertainty over whether Darkstone Castle can be subdued; Elidal says the barony will exist with or without the castle and the settlers aren't coming in the winter.

Loamian, having not heard of the previous plans, seems surprised at the idea of making Darkstone inhabitable; Elidal says he doesn't know if that's the idea anymore, as Enisius thinks the castle might be beyond inhabiting; removing or breaking it might be possible, but not moving in. Several people back up that it's not a good idea to live there.

Sir Geijon tells Elidal that Sir Guarrin has said he (Elidal) needs to be better; Elidal says it's easy for a man of lesser burdens to lecture him with his many; Geijon tells him he's making an ongoing mistake and asks what his intention is, saying that we struggle to explain Elidal's errors even to allies. Elidal basically says everyone makes errors, then admits his barb against Sir Guarrin was unnnecessary; however, he says Guarrin is never pleased. Geijon says he's given Elidal every opportunity, but he doesn't heed anything. Elidal asks what's not being heeded; Geijon says he's no longer the spokesperson to ask. Elidal says he's disappointed; Geijon asks if he's trying to publicly bait him.

Elidal moves on, saying the plan to take Darkstone Castle was naive; Kayse says it was stupid; Elidal concedes it was stupid; Alosaka says it wasn't stupid and asks if he's seriously letting one madman's castle stand against the might of his Empire; Elidal says they'll still stop the evil of Darkstone Castle, as allowing it to remain while building the barony nearby its evil can't happen. Kayse asks if there's a new plan; Elidal says Enisius will request a final submission from the research team.

Alosaka asks if Enisius still has the obelisk; Elidal says yes, but it's disabled; Alosaka says it could be undisabled; Councilor Vaemyr says his suggestion includes the designs for a second obelisk. Geijon tells Elidal he might be out of bounds in his assessment of standing. Elidal moves on, saying soldiers from Hendor, Mestanir, and Jantalar arrive, as will Bourthian scouts called for by Lady Larsya.

Back to the plan, Enisius' idea is to move the mana storm, though he isn't certain of where yet. Thrasus suggests barren wasteland to the north or over the ocean; Geijon says nearly all of us doubt Enisius can move the storm or get rid of Estrion. Elidal says he's of no help the how, as Enisius and those gathered are better experts on magic, but the risks and sacrifice should be minimized when moving the storm and it shouldn't endanger innocents or run a high risk of causing future issues.

Elidal sees Aronia passing by to the north. Geijon tells Elidal he never took responsibility like a true leader, then says goodbye and leaves. After clearing up whether anyone else was confused by Geijon's words tonight, Elidal looks longingly after where Aronia was and Kayse asks hoe she is; Elidal says nightmares keep her out at night, as they have others in the camp, and she's been training with Commander Sablo.

After Pukk leaves for the night, Elidal asks if he's off to a secret Rook meeting, but then sees that most of them are still present. He mentions that Alendrial has promised an opportunity for a new, brighter chapter for the Rooks and that he's willing to see it and accept it if it occurs. Kayse reminds him of the good they've already done and Elidal says he's not diminishing anyone.

Elidal looks where Aronia passed by again and Kayse asks if we should look for her; he says no, she'll talk when ready and has been stubborn since he's known her. Tikba offers advice that a baron's statements must be clear and decisive, so he must decide what he wishes and then tell Aronia. Elidal says he thinks she's avoiding him; Kayse asks why; Elidal says she knows of his feelings and his relationship with her will determine the course of his barony, which is his primary focus. He also says he knows how she's looked at Sablo recently and thinks it's possible she has feelings for him, though he doesn't know if Sablo has feelings for her nor for anything. Soon enough, he wishes everyone a good night and leaves.

Lord Elidal just arrived.
Leafiara curiously asks, "Are we observing our fears again?"
Elidal says, "The Northern Sentinel is dispatching some soldiers to the outpost in the coming weeks. We've trained up many soldiers for the Barony of Darkstone, but we're not close to where we need to be."
Elidal says, "So he's sending more to also aid against the castle."
Elidal says, "But of course we wanted the townspeople prepared."
Elidal says, "Not just for the sight of imperials, but to keep the tavern tables full."
Elidal says, "I'm sure the parchment merchants will also find an economic boon with more circulated Black Thorns messages."
Tikba mildly says, "I understand they manufacture their own."
A bushy-tailed golden brown coyote gazes intently at an animated flayed gigas disciple, panting hungrily.
Speaking to a bushy-tailed golden brown coyote, Pukk says, "I dare you."
Speaking to Elidal, Geijon says, "Sir Guarrin has said you need to be better."
Elidal begins chuckling at Geijon!
Elidal says, "It is easy for a man of lesser burdens to lecture one with many."
Elidal nods at Geijon.
Geijon stands up.
Elidal says, "But I am not surprised."
Speaking to Elidal, Geijon says, "I am going to say nothing here and let you think on your continued error."
Tikba mildly says, "Sir Guarrin Hjeldin is the leader of the Order of the Silver Gryphons."
Elidal says, "Oh, you can say what you'd like. My skin is tougher than when we first met."
Tikba says, "I understand the title comes with a coronet."
Tikba says, "A heavy enough weight."
Speaking to Elidal, Geijon says, "What is your intention? Even among allies we struggle to explain your errors."
Geijon asks, "Why?"
Elidal says, "I could stand here and wait for you to point to anyone in this square who is without error themselves, but I am a human, and I don't have the lifespan for it."
Speaking amusedly to Geijon, Kayse asks, "Are you so bored without Thadston here to berate that you must go after others?"
Lylia says, "It is my fond hope that we do not spend another hour discussing errors. I think we had one of those conversations not long ago."
Elidal says, "I'll admit my barb against Sir Guarrin was not necessary, but the man is never pleased. It's alright."
Elidal shrugs at Geijon.
Tikba mildly says, "The discussions of error would be shorter if they contained fewer deflections."
Elidal asks, "I deflected this night?"
Elidal peers quizzically at Tikba.
Kayse boredly asks, "If no one is going to be thrown out a window, can we move on?"
Alosaka says, "Darkstone Castle stands today because for thirty years the Landing has failed to stand against it. We have a history of that -- tolerating evil on our doorstep."
Speaking to Alosaka, Lylia asks, "I disagree. We do not tolerate evil on our doorstep. We invite it in, give it tea, and ask if it intends to stay the weekend, and by the way, has it made plans for breakfast tomorrow yet?"
Speaking mildly to Lylia, Tikba says, "This is called diplomacy."
Lylia agrees, "Just so. I always enjoy it."
Speaking to Alosaka, Vaemyr says, "We haven't exactly had the tools to dismantle a castle, much less the manastorm protecting it really."
Speaking to Vaemyr, Alosaka says, "We haven't sought the tools."
Vaemyr asks, "I didn't know they sold them, can I buy tools for controlling manastorms at Bloodriven Village I wonder?"
Pukk removes a gold-traced cherrywood lute with a lacquered finish from in his leather pouch.
Looking mournful, Pukk sets his fingers to the strings of his lute and slowly strikes a minor chord.
Pukk builds a soft harmony behind the cheerless melody, as fleeting as memory but as insistent as regret.
Under Pukk's skilled fingers the song takes on a questioning tone, as if wondering why tragedy must cast its shadow on life and light.
The quiet, forlorn strains of Pukk's song convey a gentle sadness, reminding you of friends long gone and family left to Lorminstra's care.
Speaking to Leafiara, Pukk says, "I'm naming this tune, The little baron that thought he could."
Speaking amusedly to Elidal, Kiyna offers, "Do you want my haranguing back? I can switch with Geijon if you like."
Elidal begins chuckling at Kiyna!
Elidal says, "You made more sense, I'll give you that."
Elidal says, "It's okay. Every bit thickens the skin."
Elidal asks, "Imagine when there's court in the future?"
Elidal says, "The cries, the pleas, the accusations..."
Elidal says, "I'll make my brother stand there and listen, pretend to be me."
Speaking to Leafiara, Pukk asks, "So, is it me or was a whole lot of nothing discussed?"
Speaking boredly to Pukk, Leafiara asks, "Is it ever otherwise?"
Elidal says, "Some of the Gryphons disagree with me. Some of the Thorns disagree with me. I suppose that means I'm right where I should be."
Elidal chuckles.
Tikba mildly asks, "Diplomacy is the art of turning enemies into friends with careful words. What is the opposite called?"
Pukk says, "Don't forget the Rooks."
Lylia lightly says, "Only worry when the Alabaster Spire disagrees with you."
Pukk says, "Okay. There is only so much of this I can take tonight."
Pukk says, "Good night all."
Elidal waves to Pukk.
Pukk flags down a nearby urchin and exchanges a few words.
The urchin nods to Pukk and takes off, with Pukk in tow.
Elidal says, "Secret Rook meeting?"
Elidal says, "Wait, no, most of you are still here."
Elidal asks, "Too soon?"
Elidal smirks.
Elidal ducks his head.
Speaking to Elidal, Kiyna says, "Yes. Too soon."
[General] Pukk thinks, "Rooks stand down and don't open fire. It's okay."
Elidal says, "The Mayor has promised me there exists an opportunity for a new, brighter chapter for the Rooks."
Elidal says, "I have told her I am willing to see that and accept it, if it occurs."
Tikba mildly says, "I am sure they will be glad to have your approval."
Speaking to Tikba, Kayse says, "I do not think they care."
Kayse grins impishly at Tikba.
Speaking amusedly to Elidal, Tikba asks, "May I give you my first piece of advice?"
Speaking reluctantly to Tikba, Kayse asks, "You're giving relationship advice?"
Elidal asks, "First?"
Elidal says, "But yes."
Speaking to Elidal, Tikba says, "A baron must be clear and decisive in his statements."
Speaking to Elidal, Tikba says, "You must decide what you wish, and then tell Lady Aronia."
Tikba says, "She is not a pot of porridge. She will not improve with cooling."
Tikba amusedly says, "Of course, as Kayse suggests, there is reason to doubt my wisdom in matters of love."
Kayse notes, "You did compare a woman to porridge."
Elidal says, "She may worry about my feelings, but I know how she has looked at Sablo in recent times."
Elidal says, "It is quite possible she has feelings for him."
Elidal says, "Sablo? I could not tell you the man even has feelings himself so..."
Kayse distractedly asks, "I wonder what she sees in him?"
Tikba whispers something to Kayse.
Elidal says, "Bold, decisive, unafraid, unmoved by opinions and not beholden to pleasing others."
Speaking to Tikba, Kayse agrees, "Fair.
Elidal says, "All things I do not always wield so easily."
Speaking to Elidal, Kayse says, "That is basically what Tikba said."

Idle Chatter in the Snow

Tiny crystalline flakes of snow drift down from the sky.

[travel]

[Town Square Central]

This is the heart of the main square of Wehnimer's Landing. The impromptu shops of the bazaar are clustered around this central gathering place, where townsfolk, travellers, and adventurers meet to talk, conspire or raise expeditions to the far-flung reaches of Elanith. At the north end, an old well, with moss-covered stones and a craggy roof, is shaded from the moonlight by a strong, robust tree. The oak is tall and straight, and it is apparent that the roots run deep. You also see a stormy grey lynx, a pretty flower girl, the Geijon disk, a pale-faced coppery barn owl, a round silver-banded barrel, an herbal remedy donation bin and some wide stone benches with some stuff on it.

Also here: Whimweaver Leafiara, Ralkean, Sir Geijon, Pukk, Caprichoso who is sitting, Andromalius who is sitting

Speaking to Geijon, Pukk asks, "You heard that they caught a owl spy in Landing?"

Geijon says, "No."

Leafiara absently says, "Oddly quiet square tonight... so far..."

Lylia says, "Perhaps the snow has driven everyone indoors."

Lylia says, "Well, almost everyone. I find it bracing."

Speaking to Leafiara, Pukk says, "I'm trying to decide who gets to be Cryheart for tonight."

Geijon says, "I think I walked into multiple things tonight."

A shadowy gloom swiftly pushes upward from the ground. When the darkness lifts, Tikba is standing in its place.

Pukk exclaims, "Tikba is it!"

Speaking amusedly to Pukk, Leafiara asks, "Do we even have enough people to constitute a Cryblob in the first place?"

Kayse adds Tikba to her group.

Pukk recites:

"Everybody join Tikba!"

Pukk says, "Er..."

Pukk says, "Maybe not."

Town Councilor Vaemyr just arrived.

Pukk exclaims, "Vaemyr!"

Pukk exclaims, "We have a Vaemyr!"

Vaemyr asks, "Evening?"

Pukk recites:

"Everybody join Vaemyr!"

Speaking to Vaemyr, Kiyna says, "'Bout time, old man."

You notice your companion Vaemyr slip away into hiding.

You notice Lylia botch an attempt to conceal herself.

The coppery barn owl moves closer to Vaemyr.

You notice Vaemyr slip out of hiding.

Tikba amusedly says, "You are all terrible at hiding."

>hide

You see Asben turn his head in your direction as you hide.

You see Drazaa turn his head in your direction as you hide.

You see Kayse turn her head in your direction as you hide.

You attempt to blend with the surroundings, but don't feel very confident about your success.

Pukk says, "Yep."

The voice of Leafiara says, "More of you than usual saw that."

[Leafi casts Darkness and Spirit Fog]

You see Asben turn his head in your direction as you hide.

You see Kayse turn her head in your direction as you hide.

You attempt to blend with the surroundings, but don't feel very confident about your success.

Lylia says, "At this height, with red hair? Yes. I am terrible at hiding in a crowd."

The voice of Leafiara says, "Slightly better."

Pukk says, "Still saw."

You notice your companion Lylia slip away into hiding.

Kayse points at Leafiara, ruining her hiding place.

Asben says, "You're trying."

Kayse points at Lylia, ruining her hiding place.

Kayse points at Kiyna, ruining her hiding place.

Kayse says, "Keep trying."

Loamian asks, "What're we up to tonight?"

Speaking amusedly to Kayse, Kiyna says, "One day I'll sneak up on you."

Lylia says, "Enjoying the snow."

Leafiara vaguely says, "Anyway, it doesn't matter. There are only certain eyes I need to elude."

Speaking to Loamian, Pukk says, "We are joining Vaemyr because...that's why."

Loamian asks, "Hide and seek?"

Growing Threats

Lord Elidal just arrived.

Speaking to Elidal, Vaemyr says, "Uh hi."

Speaking lightly to Kiyna, Kayse says, "Anyone sneaking up on me will most likely receive a dagger in the ribs."

Elidal grins.

Leafiara curiously asks, "Are we observing our fears again?"

Elidal says, "Good evening."

Elidal smirks at Leafiara!

Vaemyr smirks at Leafiara!

Tikba diplomatically says, "How kind of you to come visit the Landing."

Elidal says, "...not currently."

Leafiara suddenly says, "Oh."

Lylia says, "I would not know about that."

Elidal says, "I visit more than you might realize."

Elidal nods at Tikba.

A muscular red-armored hiresword charges in!

A muscular red-armored hiresword swings a claw-hilted black steel sword at an animated flayed gigas disciple!

AS: +491 vs DS: +776 with AvD: +35 + d100 roll: +36 = -214

A clean miss.

A clean miss.

Vaemyr glances at a muscular red-armored hiresword.

A muscular red-armored hiresword charges southeast!

Elidal gazes in wonder at his surroundings.

Lylia exclaims, "Blood in the snow!"

Vaemyr says, "Guess the sanct in here is still missing."

Tikba says, "The hiresword is concerned because of the recent attacks."

OOPS?

Kayse observes, "The hiresword is bored, clearly."

Vaemyr says, "Just trying to get practice I'm sure."

Kiyna says, "They need it."

Speaking to Elidal, Geijon says, "Lord Elidal."

Elidal grins.

Elidal bows to Geijon.

Speaking to Elidal, Geijon says, "You've had a tough time as of late."

Elidal says, "Sir Geijon."

Elidal says, "We all have."

Tikba politely greets, "Magister."

Geijon faces Elidal and smartly brings his right fist up to his chest. Holding it there, he bows deeply.

Elidal says, "The difficult times are not isolated to one person or group."

Speaking to Elidal, Pukk says, "You should be careful in town. You don't know who might attack you all of a sudden here."

Speaking to Elidal, Vaemyr says, "So what brings you to town tonight, a bit unusual to see you wondering about alone."

Elidal says, "I came from a meeting with Mayor Alendrial. Brief of course, but we'll likely have some future conversations, I'm sure others will be invited too."

Speaking to Leafiara, Pukk says, "They are in cahoots."

Speaking wryly to Pukk, Leafiara says, "We already knew that."

Elidal says, "With the threat of Darkstone Castle escalating, and both of our peoples being affected and inflicted at times, we need to make sure we're communicating and planning together."

Pukk asks, "We did?"

Elidal says, "We've got to keep people safe while fighting the enemy."

Loamian says, "Here here."

Tikba says, "Indeed, the danger posed by Octaven is growing."

Vaemyr says, "And by Estrion."

Elidal nods at Tikba.

Elidal nods at Vaemyr.

Elidal says, "I also wanted to discuss with your Mayor, and I'm glad we've got some councilors and envoys here tonight..."

Thrassus cocks his head at Elidal.

Tikba fairly emanates polite civility by way of her courteous, tempered expression.

Elidal says, "The Northern Sentinel is dispatching some soldiers to the outpost in the coming weeks. We've trained up many soldiers for the Barony of Darkstone, but we're not close to where we need to be."

Elidal says, "So he's sending more to also aid against the castle."

Thrassus says, "They will likely be needed."

Elidal says, "No one thinks Octaven or Estrion will go quietly or easily."

Geijon says, "Sir Thadston."

Geijon nods at Elidal.

Elidal nods at Geijon.

Tikba diplomatically says, "We are always grateful for the Northern Sentinel's aid."

Elidal says, "Yes..."

Geijon whispers something to Elidal.

Elidal whispers something to Geijon.

Geijon grins.

Pukk whispers something to Leafiara.

Elidal says, "But of course we wanted the townspeople prepared."

Elidal says, "Not just for the sight of imperials, but to keep the tavern tables full."

Elidal chuckles.

Lylia says, "I am certain the innkeepers and restaurateurs will be especially --"

Drazaa says, "I'd say."

Lylia begins chuckling at Elidal!

Elidal nods at Lylia.

Lylia says, "You are prescient."

Alosaka asks, "Can we expect more settlers soon, as well?"

Elidal says, "I'm sure the parchment merchants will also find an economic boon with more circulated Black Thorns messages."

Elidal chuckles.

Lylia notes, "I shall stock more ink in my shop."

Tikba mildly says, "I understand they manufacture their own."

Elidal says, "It is my hope, yes."

Elidal nods at Alosaka.

Speaking to Alosaka, Kiyna says, "More settlers now would be a mistake. We don't know for sure whether Darkstone can be subdued, let alone made safe and habitable."

Elidal says, "But, we have to be smart."

Elidal says, "There's no great migration this winter of settlers."

Geijon says, "Th' Black Thorns have migrated north to cause trouble amongst others."

Kayse inquires, "Why would we have more settlers come now when it is even more dangerous?"

Elidal says, "The Barony will exist without the necromancer's castle or not."

Elidal nods at Kiyna.

Kayse adds, "Seems foolish."

Kiyna points at Kayse.

Elidal says, "They won't be coming, not during the winter."

Loamian incredulously asks, "Darkstone Castle, made to be habitable?"

Elidal says, "I think we've all learned those harsh lessons. Ones we should...ones I should have avoided to begin with."

Speaking to Loamian, Perigourd says, "If possible."

Speaking to Loamian, Lylia says, "That is the idea, at least for some, yes."

Elidal shrugs at Lylia.

Alosaka says, "If it can be cleared of its current, wasteful master."

Elidal says, "I do not know if that is much the idea anymore."

Lylia says, "Wasteful. A good word."

Lylia nods at Alosaka.

Speaking amusedly to Alosaka, Tikba says, "And replaced with a new one."

Speaking to Tikba, Alosaka says, "And people."

Elidal says, "My brother and I do not talk much currently but...from what I gather, he thinks the castle may be beyond inhabiting."

Speaking to Elidal, Vaemyr says, "So your brother seems to agree with many of us, that even if we deal with Octaven and Estrion that settling in Darkstone Castle is probably a mistake, sometimes it is best to leave cursed castles alone."

Elidal asks, "Removing, breaking, sure. Moving in?"

Elidal shakes his head.

Speaking to Tikba, Alosaka says, "Rather than the banshees, and golems, and cultists, and kiramon in there now."

Loamian says, "Even if it can be cleared of its master its every stone was placed with the purpose of evil in mind."

[General] Caprichoso asks, "Forset Troll in Graendlor pasture. Can someone come and kill it?"

Loamian says, "Raze the place, don't settle there."

>mychar thinks Sounds about right, at least Enisius will reach the correct conclusion when Elidal won't.

Speaking to Elidal, Kiyna agrees, "Even I can tell you that place has been steeped in evil for decades. It is not a good place to live, even removed of its monsters and mana storm."

Geijon and Elidal

Speaking to Elidal, Geijon says, "Sir Guarrin has said you need to be better."

Elidal begins chuckling at Geijon!

[General] Caprichoso thinks, "Er, Forest troll.."

Elidal says, "It is easy for a man of lesser burdens to lecture one with many."

Elidal nods at Geijon.

Thrassus says, "Containment might be the eventual solution we land upon."

Geijon stands up.

Elidal says, "But I am not surprised."

[General] Caprichoso exclaims, "Dativoy got it. Thanks!"

Elidal says, "Contained, destroyed, either way, the current form it holds cannot continue."

Elidal nods at Tikba. [OOC note: I think this was supposed to be a nod to Thrassus, so he got the bolding earlier.]

Elidal nods at Geijon.

Tikba says, "I understand the title comes with a coronet."

Tikba says, "A heavy enough weight."

Loamian says, "The effort would be better spent making the graveyard habitable, at least its gate doesn't open with only a kiss."

Speaking to Elidal, Geijon says, "What is your intention? Even among allies we struggle to explain your errors."

Alosaka says, "I trust experience has made you a better leader as well."

A bushy-tailed golden brown coyote gazes intently at an animated flayed gigas disciple, panting hungrily.

Kiyna muses, "Are people only weighed by titles now? What a simple world that must be."

Geijon glances at Elidal.

Speaking to a bushy-tailed golden brown coyote, Pukk says, "I dare you."

Speaking amusedly to Kiyna, Tikba says, "I meant the crown."

Geijon asks, "Why?"

Elidal says, "I could stand here and wait for you to point to anyone in this square who is without error themselves, but I am a human, and I don't have the lifespan for it."

[General] Goldstr asks, "All well so far at TSC and North Gate?"

Elidal nods at Geijon.

Speaking amusedly to Geijon, Kayse asks, "Are you so bored without Thadston here to berate that you must go after others?"

Tikba says, "I understand they must be heavy."

The flower girl smiles and says, "For giving me a few silvers, you can have a whole handful of these petals!"

Lylia says, "It is my fond hope that we do not spend another hour discussing errors. I think we had one of those conversations not long ago."

Pukk exclaims, "The flower girl is without error!"

Lylia points out, "There was a time Xorus believed he was wrong about something, but he was mistaken in that."

Speaking to Pukk, Vaemyr says, "Figured you'd go for owlie."

Xorus smirks.

The flower girl smiles and says, "For giving me a few silvers, you can have a whole handful of these petals!"

Elidal says, "I'll admit my barb against Sir Guarrin was not necessary, but the man is never pleased. It's alright."

Elidal shrugs at Geijon.

Speaking to Elidal, Geijon says, "I have given you every opportunity. I am flawed. I have erred. Why, I ask. You do not heed anything."

Speaking to Vaemyr, Pukk says, "I would. But Owly is modest and humble."

Elidal peers quizzically at Geijon.

Alosaka simply says, "Sir Guarrin has high standards."

Tikba mildly says, "The discussions of error would be shorter if they contained fewer deflections."

Elidal asks, "What is not being heeded?"

Speaking to a pale-faced coppery barn owl, Pukk says, "And good looking too..yes."

Elidal peers quizzically at Geijon.

Perigourd reminds, "The enemy is to our west at present. Perhaps we can place our hostlity in that direction."

Elidal grins at Tikba.

Tikba says, "I am glad to see you are considering the danger."

Elidal asks, "I deflected this night?"

Elidal peers quizzically at Tikba.

Geijon says, "I care not to explain Lord Elidal because I am no longer th' spokeperson to ask."

Geijon sits down.

Kayse boredly asks, "If no one is going to be thrown out a window, can we move on?"

Tikba gazes in amusement at Elidal.

Pukk says, "I heard there was some area in Kraken's Falls that could be settled."

Pukk asks, "Have you thought about that place?"

Lylia tartly observes, "We have -- well, I shall not say enemies, but certainly those who are not friends farther to our east. But I suppose I should write my own vitriolic letters about that and post them."

Elidal says, "Sir Geijon...I am disappointed. When a man stands up on stage to declare a truth and then sits down before it is shared..."

Elidal shakes his head.

Elidal shrugs.

Speaking amusedly to Kayse, Kiyna suggests, "A submission to the council: A free-standing wall with a window to be placed in the town square for purposes of defenestration."

Speaking absently to Kiyna, Kayse says, "Put it on my desk."

Elidal says, "But back to our other topics..."

Speaking to Elidal, Geijon asks, "Oh. Now you are an argumentative presumptive? Do you want to bait me in public?"

Revisiting the Darkstone Plan

Elidal says, "I think the original plan to conquer Darkstone Castle was naive at best."

Elidal asks, "Hopeful, glorious sounding on parchment thousands of miles away....but up close?"

Alosaka suggests, "It was aspirational."

Lylia quietly says, "I hope there is no baiting at all tonight. Moving in straight lines is more interesting than circles."

Kayse bluntly offers, "Or stupid."

Elidal says, "Seeing it? Experiencing it?"

Elidal begins chuckling at Kayse!

Elidal says, "I was being polite to myself."

Elidal says, "But yes, stupid."

Elidal chuckles.

Drazaa offers, "Experience is the greatest educator."

Perigourd says, "Estrion seems to have managed it."

Tikba mildly says, "I am glad you have reconsidered your course."

Speaking to Elidal, Raelee asks, "... but we will complete our work, yes?"

Elidal says, "We can build all the castles we want."

Speaking to Perigourd, Kiyna says, "I wonder about that."

Elidal nods at Raelee.

Alosaka asks, "Not stupid. Are you seriously letting one rundown palace constructed by a madman stand against the might of your Empire?"

Elidal says, "Darkstone Castle cannot remain. I mentioned it before I noticed you here."

Elidal nods at Raelee.

Elidal looks over at Alosaka and shakes his head.

Elidal says, "Oh, do not mistake it for weakness."

Elidal nods at Alosaka.

Lylia says, "I do not think it shall stand. It just may not be the seat of the new barony."

Elidal says, "We will still stop the evil of Darkstone Castle."

Speaking to Elidal, Geijon says, "Unlikely."

Tikba says, "Now that it has turned against us here in the Landing, we must."

>mychar thinks I'd prefer Darkstone Castle to stop the evil of you by this point.

Speaking to Elidal, Geijon asks, "What was your intention tonight Lord Elidal?"

Alosaka says, "Darkstone Castle stands today because for thirty years the Landing has failed to stand against it. We have a history of that -- tolerating evil on our doorstep." [OOC note: I mean, in the context of the game's existence, sure, but in terms of in-universe lore, Darkstone Castle has existed longer than that.]

Elidal says, "To rile you up apparently."

Elidal nods at Geijon.

Elidal smirks.

Geijon sighs.

Speaking to Elidal, Geijon says, "You chose this."

Elidal says, "I left a meeting earlier with your Mayor."

XYZ whispers, "This is getting interesting."

Elidal says, "And then I came here for a quick visit."

Geijon says, "Alendrial is our Mayor."

You quietly whisper to XYZ, "Nah. It's exactly as productive as I thought, which is to say not in the slightest."

Elidal says, "Correct."

Kayse slowly says, "He said our mayor."

Elidal nods at Geijon.

Speaking to Alosaka, Vaemyr says, "We haven't exactly had the tools to dismantle a castle, much less the manastorm protecting it really."

XYZ whispers, "But between Geijon and Elidal...come on...this is good stuff."

Speaking to Alosaka, Lylia asks, "I disagree. We do not tolerate evil on our doorstep. We invite it in, give it tea, and ask if it intends to stay the weekend, and by the way, has it made plans for breakfast tomorrow yet?"

Speaking to Vaemyr, Alosaka says, "We haven't sought the tools."

XYZ whispers, "For once it isn't us giving him a hard time."

Speaking mildly to Lylia, Tikba says, "This is called diplomacy."

Elidal nods at Alosaka.

You quietly whisper to XYZ, "Well, yes, I know what you mean on that point."

Lylia agrees, "Just so. I always enjoy it."

Loamian says, "It takes its tea scalding hot."

Elidal says, "It's also foolish to allow evil to take root at the doorstep."

Vaemyr asks, "I didn't know they sold them, can I buy tools for controlling manastorms at Bloodriven Village I wonder?"

Elidal says, "I don't think any of us would disagree, allowing Darkstone Castle to remain and then build the Barony nearby and continue to help Wehnimer's Landing prospery....while the evil resides nearby..."

Elidal says, "It can't happen."

Tikba says, "We must stop Octaven, and with her Estrion. I am sure we will have to master Darkstone to do that."

Kayse casually asks, "So is there a plan then?"

Elidal says, "Enisius told me he'd be having the research team submit a final submission, of some sort."

Perigourd says, "He did request as much."

Elidal says, "Theories or proposals to transport the mana storm."

Alosaka absently asks, "Is that weapon he used to destroy the Vale still at hand?"

Tikba uneasily says, "Yes, he said something along those lines."

Speaking to a pale-faced coppery barn owl, Pukk says, "Be sure to look over the submissions."

Speaking to Elidal, Raelee says, "It is too soon."

Elidal says, "Yes, but currently disabled."

Elidal nods at Alosaka.

Elidal says, "...and he did not use it. We all know this."

Elidal says, "He just refuses to admit it."

Alosaka says, "Of course, of course."

Alosaka says, "But he could, I am sure, un-disable it."

Vaemyr says, "He didn't but he could of prevented it's use too."

Vaemyr says, "Not like we can change things now though."

Alosaka asks, "What a wonderful tool that could be. Vaemyr, weren't you just mourning our lack of tools?"

Speaking to Elidal, Geijon says, "Mind you, you are in th' Landing. Perhaps you are out of bounds in your assessment of standing."

Speaking to Elidal, Geijon says, "I wont sit down again."

Elidal asks, "Huh?"

Elidal peers quizzically at Geijon.

Speaking to Alosaka, Vaemyr says, "The obelisk? I actually have included that in my research suggestion on dealing with the manastorm, in fact I have the designs for a second one too even."

Lylia admits, "I still have no idea why we would have wished to prevent the use of the weapon that reduced a dangerous foe of both our town and the settlement to rubble."

Alosaka nods approvingly at Vaemyr.

Speaking incredulously to Vaemyr, Kiyna asks, "Wait, you're not seriously thinking of building another one?"

Elidal says, "Good, he'll want those."

Elidal nods at Vaemyr.

Tikba carefully says, "It would be valuable for the Landing to have such a weapon."

Speaking to a dappled ocelot, Loamian says, "Settle down, please."

Elidal says, "Every weapon that brings value brings danger."

Speaking to Leafiara, Pukk says, "I guess we could move to Cold River after all."

Geijon says, "Enisius eradicated a lot of us with th' obelisk or his "error" Magister Raelee lived, but I did not."

Kayse reticently says, "Can we not start this debate tonight? We are running around in circles enough with Sir Geijon and Elidal."

Speaking to Pukk, Leafiara agrees, "Always a possibility."

Geijon says, "I have been incredibly reserved."

Speaking to Elidal, Loamian asks, "Assuming the mana storm can be removed, what then?"

Alosaka says, "I am confident we can overcome the challenge of Darkstone, if we are blessed with leaders of great resolve."

Elidal says, "The soldiers from the south should arrive in the coming days. It's my understanding they'll come from Hendor, Mestanir, and Jantalar. Lady Larsya has called for some additional Bourthian scouts as well, but also sending some currently stationed here back home."

Speaking to Elidal, Perigourd asks, "Will Commander Sablo be leading them, or the Sentinel himself?"

Elidal says, "Commander Sablo."

Perigourd nods thoughtfully.

Lylia asks, "Sablo is not staying?"

Elidal shrugs at Loamian.

Elidal peers quizzically at Lylia.

Thrassus says, "I don't think he is going anywhere."

Speaking to Lylia, Perigourd says, "He will lead them here, I believe, when they arrive."

Lylia firmly says, "Good."

Pukk removes a gold-traced cherrywood lute with a lacquered finish from in his leather pouch.

Looking mournful, Pukk sets his fingers to the strings of his lute and slowly strikes a minor chord.

Thrassus says, "He was referring to the scouts being rotated out."

Lylia says, "I see."

Speaking to Lylia, Vaemyr says, "I think he was saying that Sablo would take command of the troops that Thadston is sending to the outpost under a united group."

Elidal says, "To answer your question Loamian, it seemed to my brother that the biggest question is not how to move the storm, but where."

[OOC note: I accidentally closed the window here. I logged back in fairly quickly, but might have missed a line or two.]

Thrassus mildly says, "I might have an idea or two on that."

Elidal peers quizzically at Thrassus.

Tikba carefully says, "Indeed, your brother seemed very convinced of the wisdom of moving the storm."

Speaking in Faendryl to Elidal, Darphin says something you don't understand.

Pukk builds a soft harmony behind the cheerless melody, as fleeting as memory but as insistent as regret.

Thrassus says, "There's lots of barren wasteland to the north where they would do little harm."

Under Pukk's skilled fingers the song takes on a questioning tone, as if wondering why tragedy must cast its shadow on life and light.

Elidal asks, "Icemule?"

Elidal peers quizzically at Thrassus.

Elidal chuckles.

Vaemyr says, "Aye where is an excellent question indeed. I have a few thoughts, I'll be sure to include them in my proposal."

Speaking to Thrassus, Darphin says, "I wouldnt suggest moving a storm into the Giants mountains."

The quiet, forlorn strains of Pukk's song convey a gentle sadness, reminding you of friends long gone and family left to Lorminstra's care.

Thrassus says, "Farther than that, I would think."

Speaking to Elidal, Geijon says, "Near all of us doubt Enisius can move th'storm or solve Estrion. You seem to have no idea."

Raelee whispers something to Xorus.

Speaking to Leafiara, Pukk says, "I'm naming this tune, The little baron that thought he could."

Speaking to Thrassus, Perigourd says, "If you speak of the long snow, there are many beings that live there."

Tikba carefully says, "The mana storm is stable over Darkstone. It is hard to say how stable it will be when moved away from its anchor."

Speaking to Thrassus, Perigourd says, "And disturbed, they may migrate into more populated environs."

Drazaa admits, "It is a quandry for something with such capacity; there is no place that would entirely unaltered by its impact I venture."

Thrassus says, "Perhaps over the northern ocean."

Vaemyr says, "My first thought though would be just puting the darn thing way out to sea, maybe the wraith's island or something, was already hidden for a long time."

Darphin asks, "Could it be pushed to sea?"

Lylia says, "If it could be properly controlled or harnessed, there might be even more options."

Thrassus asks, "Maybe we could put it in a bottle, who knows?"

Rhaladin says, "Jes' push it south, then ah' lil' more south."

Lylia says, "A large alabaster bottle."

Loamian asks, "What is the source of the mana storm? How is it related to Darkstone?"

Darphin says, "Throw a Mandis Crystal in it, see what happens."

Thrassus says, "A botched ritual to summon Sheru."

Rhaladin says, "Throw ah' kroderine golem in it."

Geijon says, "The Mandis Crystals are destroyed. Nothing has that power without sacrifice."

Speaking to Asben, Darphin says, "I believe Rhaladin speaks of you."

Lylia sardonically remarks, "If we are just throwing out random suggestions drawn from blue sky, I would like to request a ki-lin to call my own and also a pair of ruby slippers."

Speaking to Geijon, Darphin says, "The crystals we know of are destroyed."

Speaking to Lylia, Pukk says, "Ruby slippers are so last year."

Speaking wryly to Lylia, Kayse says, "I can make you those ruby slippers."

Vaemyr reaches up and gives his ki-lin horn a quick shine.

Speaking to Geijon, Darphin says, "And plenty of shards are still about."

Lylia flags down a nearby urchin and exchanges a few words. The urchin nods to Lylia, scurries off, and returns in a few moments with a plainly wrapped package that he hands to Lylia.

Elidal shrugs.

Lylia just opened a plainly wrapped package.

Lylia removes a pair of sparkling ruby slippers from in her plainly wrapped package.

Lylia breathes, "Dreams really do come true!"

Lylia raises her sparkling ruby slippers skyward!

Perigourd says, "I think the focus should be on finding Octaven and gaining what we can from her. It's obvious from the last time Estrion spoke through someone that they're involved in the doings there together."

Eralice whispers something to Asben.

Perigourd says, "It may be that he needs her."

Thrassus says, "I suppose there is still plenty of time to ponder on it."

Elidal says, "I am of no help in this part of the conversation. My brother and many of you are better experts on those kind of things."

Pukk says, "Huh. Lylia does have a sense of humor."

Speaking diplomatically to Elidal, Tikba says, "It is thoughtful of you to come by and give us this news."

Perigourd says, "And without her, may be left to the devices he's long laid at rest doing."

Speaking to Elidal, Lylia asks, "How is Enisius faring?"

Speaking to Pukk, Lylia deadpans, "Lies. Pernicious nonsense."

Elidal says, "Ideally, I think we can all agree, if the storm can be moved...the risks and sacrifice should be minimized, and it should not endanger innocents or run a high risk of causing us future issues."

Speaking to Perigourd, Kiyna says, "It's a realistic place to start."

Speaking to Elidal, Honierah says, "Then keep it to yourself."

Elidal says, "There's been far too many times when a problem is solved only to open another. That cycle should stop."

Speaking to Elidal, Honierah says, "Some of us have actual work to do."

Tikba vaguely says, "An interesting idea."

Lylia says, "I recall what happened when moving a problem from the Landing to a forest..."

Speaking to Elidal, Darphin says, "Then i would say anchor it out to sea somewhere, and mark it on the charts as an exclusionary zone."

Vaemyr says, "It is very likely that the mana storm above darkstone is somewhat related to the Wraith of Estrion, and that we'll need to deal with it to weaken him. It also seemed to be something that Octaven was very much trying to connect to the storm on the reach, and I don't think that would be a good thing to let happen."

Lylia says, "But that would be something Ersix Severus would know more about."

Eralice whispers something to Asben.

Speaking to Elidal, Geijon says, "We cannot stop Estrion, we never could stop th' Sheruvians. To call it th' Barony of Darkstone is reality shifting."

Kayse airily says, "Not with that attitude we can't..."

Loamian thoughtfully asks, "If we can move the storm then what stops Octavan from moving it back?"

Geijon says, "We must shift it all."

Elidal sighs.

Drazaa ventures, "All natural systems are interconnected; I am not surprised by the things that bind and are tied together. A manastorm would be no different."

Lylia says, "Presumably, that would entail stopping Octaven as well."

Speaking to Loamian, Tikba says, "We will."

Thrassus says, "She can't move it back if she is naught but a pile of ashes."

Vaemyr asks, "Anyways, was there anything else? other than the soldiers coming?"

Raelee whispers something to Thrassus.

Speaking amusedly to Elidal, Kiyna offers, "Do you want my haranguing back? I can switch with Geijon if you like."

Honierah says, "I'm ready for combat, but you are correct."

Loamian says, "It seems like if we want to stop the cycle of solutions begetting problems then disipating the storm should be the goal."

Elidal begins chuckling at Kiyna!

Elidal says, "You made more sense, I'll give you that."

Elidal begins chuckling at Kiyna!

Kiyna nods in agreement at Elidal.

Elidal says, "It's okay. Every bit thickens the skin."

Elidal asks, "Imagine when there's court in the future?"

Elidal says, "The cries, the pleas, the accusations..."

Speaking to Elidal, Geijon asks, "Do you find that helpful?"

Speaking to Elidal, Pukk says, "Oh yeah? Well your mother dresses you funny too."

Elidal says, "I'll make my brother stand there and listen, pretend to be me."

Elidal chuckles.

Speaking to Elidal, Vaemyr asks, "Can we... destroy the court next after darkstone then?"

Kayse admits, "It is a bit unrealistic to think we will not gain any more problems. Most situations like these come with consequences...."

ABC whispers, "What's happening here?"

Speaking to Loamian, Honierah says, "I'm with you on resolving this."

Elidal says, "I'm not saying there won't be new problems..."

Vaemyr asks, "Court has to be an evil instituation right?"

Speaking to Kayse, Perigourd says, "Every decision leads to such."

Elidal nods at Kayse.

Elidal says, "We'll always have new threats in this region."

You quietly whisper to ABC, "Some people are just bantering with Elidiot. I mean, uh, Elidal."

Eralice whispers something to Asben.

Elidal says, "I would just prefer, if possible, not to solve one issue that directly relates to creating one or more new issues."

Speaking amusedly to Elidal, Tikba says, "Not to mention the old threats we have learned to live with."

Lylia says, "Would be nice."

Speaking to Elidal, Honierah says, "Nihilism isn't the answer here."

Kiyna agrees, "I tend to agree, though. The better chance of not creating another huge problem is to dissipate the storm, not move it. But I'm no mage. The magically-inclined types would be better placed to discuss the feasibility of that."

Elidal says, "We haven't even begun to discuss the danger of the Deadfall..."

Speaking to Elidal, Kayse teases, "What kind of boring barony do you want?"

Elidal begins chuckling at Kayse!

Speaking to Elidal, Geijon says, "You don't seem to see the angles."

Kayse mutters, "Oh, yes... Stone."

Elidal says, "One where people eat and live."

Lylia says, "The Deadfall is something we largely leave alone as it seems insurmountable at this time."

Speaking to Elidal, Pukk suggests, "You can always move to Kraken's Fall."

Eralice softly says, "More to living than being alive."

Speaking to Elidal, Loamian asks, "What is your stance on merriment?"

Speaking to Elidal, Vaemyr says, "One apocalyptic distaster at a time please."

Speaking to Elidal, Geijon says, "And I will no longer explain it to you."

Speaking to Elidal, Tikba says, "You are fortunate, then."

Speaking to Vaemyr, Asben says, "This is the landing... we always have at least three."

Geijon sighs at Elidal.

Speaking to Asben, Kiyna says, "They rotate in and out to keep up the pressure."

Speaking to Asben, Loamian asks, "Mana storm, plague, what's the third one right now?"

Darphin says, "So you take your mana storm, and push it off to the deadfall, deal with what ever is left."

Speaking in Elven to Loamian, Honierah says something you don't understand.

Speaking mildly to Elidal, Tikba says, "You will find as baron that people eat and live without needing a baron's direction at all."

Elidal grins at Tikba.

Asben says, "Whatever of the many threats that we haven't finished."

Speaking in Elven, Honierah says something you don't understand.

Speaking to Asben, Loamian says, "Ahh yes, 'etc...'."

Speaking to Tikba, Thrassus says, "It's a good thing too else he'd never get anything done."

Alosaka nods respectfully.

Squire Alosaka just went southwest.

Speaking to Loamian, Asben asks, "Do i need to name one for you to be happy?"

Speaking in Elven to Honierah, Loamian exclaims something you don't understand.

Pukk says, "A couple of them."

[General] Lylia thinks, "Alosaka You are missing out on the endless-recriminations-and-circular-arguments portion of the evening."

[General] Lylia thinks, "Oh. Well, there we are." [OOC note: he'd logged off by this point]

Speaking in Elven, Honierah says something you don't understand.

Future Advice and Opportunity

Speaking politely to Elidal, Tikba says, "You mentioned some time ago that you hoped to benefit from the advice of the envoys and councilors."

Elidal glances off to the north, quickly looking up as a woman in a dark green cloak moves down a street, then turning out of sight.

Eralice softly says, "Disaster number one."

Elidal nods at Tikba.

Elidal says, "Indeed. A meeting is long overdue."

Tikba nods appreciatively at Elidal.

Tikba says, "I will look forward to it, then."

Speaking to Elidal, Geijon says, "A true leader takes responsibility. You called out, but never took it."

Speaking thoughtfully in Elven to Honierah, Loamian says something you don't understand.

Speaking softly to Asben, Eralice says, "I figure they'll think themselves safe and Darkstone cleared, and suddenly there will be no more living in Darkstone."

Geijon closes his eyes for a moment.

Speaking in Elven to Loamian, Honierah says something you don't understand.

Speaking to Elidal, Geijon says, "Goodbye."

Elidal bows to Geijon.

Speaking in Elven to Honierah, Loamian says something you don't understand.

Geijon closes his eyes for a moment.

Speaking in Elven to Honierah, Loamian says something you don't understand.

Sir Geijon just went east.

Elidal gazes in wonder at his surroundings.

Speaking in Elven to Honierah, Loamian says something you don't understand.

Elidal says, "I'm sorry...I mean no disrespect..."

Speaking in Elven to Loamian, Honierah asks something you don't understand.

Speaking to Leafiara, Pukk asks, "So, is it me or was a whole lot of nothing discussed?"

Elidal says, "...and I know many dislike me or don't trust me yet but..."

Elidal asks, "Am I the only one he confused?"

Elidal chuckles.

Thrassus says, "No."

Speaking boredly to Pukk, Leafiara asks, "Is it ever otherwise?"

Lylia simply says, "No."

Eralice softly says, "I wish I had woke up earlier instead of trying to catch up from the middle."

Speaking to Leafiara, Pukk says, "So, you are saying it's me."

Pukk says, "I see."

Speaking wearily to Pukk, Leafiara says, "Sure, let's run with that."

Pukk says, "I knew it."

Lachonus offhandedly offers, "Some people just like someone to blame."

Speaking softly to Pukk, Eralice says, "Put it this way. . . you do Not want to That to a vote."

Speaking to himself, Pukk says, "You too? Traitor."

Lylia says, "I do not know what angered him so, but I would imagine that time may lend clarity -- whether to him or to me in understanding his displeasure, I do not know."

Elidal looks to the north, but the woman he saw never returns.

Tikba mildly says, "It is difficult to understand his criticism, but not his anger."

Elidal nods at Lylia.

Speaking to Elidal, Kayse explains, "Thadston would have thrown him out a window halfway through that--so you did well."

Elidal begins chuckling at Kayse!

Speaking in Elven to Honierah, Loamian asks something you don't understand.

Pukk says, "Don't forget the Rooks."

Lylia lightly says, "Only worry when the Alabaster Spire disagrees with you."

Elidal smirks.

Speaking bluntly to Elidal, Kayse asks, "How has she been?"

Elidal asks, "Honestly?"

Speaking to Loamian, Honierah says, "Not likely enougfh to find our goal."

Elidal says, "Nightmares keep her out most of the night."

Speaking to Elidal, Kiyna says, "That'll be Sheru, like as not."

Elidal says, "She's been training more with Sablo. Which, I am not sure how that is going..."

Lylia says, "Sometimes a nightmare is just a nightmare."

Lylia says, "I am reticent to ascribe them all to gods."

Elidal says, "Some in the camp have had nightmares, some more than others."

Speaking to Elidal, Perigourd asks, "In her physical defenses?"

Speaking to Vaemyr, Pukk says, "You were the best Cryheart tonight. You didn't even have to move. You brought the fun to us."

Honierah says, "Best of luck resolving this, Seems a self inflicted problem."

Tikba amusedly says, "No, it was inflicted on us by others."

Speaking to Elidal, Kayse asks, "Have they tried Tkaro root at all?"

Pukk says, "Okay. There is only so much of this I can take tonight."

Elidal says, "I am not sure. I will recommend. We've some healers in the camp, tending to those with the worse symptoms."

Raising his arms slightly, Pukk arches his back and gently lets his head rock back.

Elidal grins at Pukk.

Pukk says, "Good night all."

Elidal waves to Pukk.

Pukk flags down a nearby urchin and exchanges a few words.

The urchin nods to Pukk and takes off, with Pukk in tow.

Elidal says, "Secret Rook meeting?"

Elidal gazes in wonder at his surroundings.

Elidal says, "Wait, no, most of you are still here."

Elidal asks, "Too soon?"

Elidal smirks.

Speaking to Elidal, Thrassus says, "I would reccomend contacting a Ronanite group for advice."

Elidal ducks his head.

Tikba carefully says, "I understood there was also some discussion of evacuating some Landing citizens, although I do not know the details."

Speaking to Elidal, Kiyna says, "Yes. Too soon."

Leafiara shakes her head, totally at a loss.

[General] Pukk thinks, "Rooks stand down and don't open fire. It's okay."

Elidal says, "The Mayor has promised me there exists an opportunity for a new, brighter chapter for the Rooks."

Kayse reminds, "The Rooks have helped this town--and also assisted with Bodohal. I am sure Leafiara could list the rest of the history for you if you need it."

Elidal says, "I have told her I am willing to see that and accept it, if it occurs."

Leafiara nods absently at Kayse.

Elidal nods at Kayse.

Tikba mildly says, "I am sure they will be glad to have your approval."

Elidal says, "Oh, I am not diminishing anyone at all."

Elidal nods at Kayse.

>mychar thinks ...wait, I'm not sure we want to move in a direction where we somehow gain his favor.

Kiyna says, "As we move on Darkstone, they will only defend themselves more fiercely. We should take the opportunity to evacuate any citizens - who wish to leave - before they are set aflame."

Speaking to Asben, Darphin says, "I wish i could remember the name of the Lich in Icemule opeining up the school. bet in his years upon the earth he may have some advice in regards to the storm."

Speaking to Tikba, Kayse says, "I do not think they care."

Kayse grins impishly at Tikba.

Speaking to Darphin, Asben says, "Perhaps."

Elidal looks north again.

Speaking in Elven to Komoki, Loamian says something you don't understand.

Elidal says, "It's late. So late it even stopped snowing. I should return to the camp."

Speaking to Elidal, Kayse offers, "Should we go look for her?"

Elidal says, "Sleep makes sharp eyes."

Kayse casually glances north.

Speaking amusedly to Elidal, Tikba asks, "May I give you my first piece of advice?"

Elidal says, "No. She'll talk when ready. She's always been stubborn since I've known her."

Speaking reluctantly to Tikba, Kayse asks, "You're giving relationship advice?"

Elidal asks, "First?"

Tikba grins wryly at Kayse.

Elidal peers quizzically at Tikba.

Kayse appears to be struggling to keep a straight face as she glances at Tikba.

Elidal says, "But yes."

Elidal nods at Tikba.

Speaking amusedly to Elidal, Tikba says, "Advice is kindly meant."

Asben whispers something to Darphin.

Speaking to Elidal, Tikba says, "A baron must be clear and decisive in his statements."

Elidal says, "I also think she's avoiding me some."

Elidal nods at Kayse.

Speaking to Elidal, Tikba says, "You must decide what you wish, and then tell Lady Aronia."

Elidal grins.

Speaking to Elidal, Kayse asks, "Why would she do that? You two seemed rather...close?"

Tikba says, "She is not a pot of porridge. She will not improve with cooling."

Lylia says, "Cannot abide a passive leader."

[General] Pukk thinks, "Good night all."

Tikba amusedly says, "Of course, as Kayse suggests, there is reason to doubt my wisdom in matters of love."

[General] Pukk thinks, "Have fun storming Darkstone Castle."

Kayse notes, "You did compare a woman to porridge."

Lylia says, "For what it is worth, I agree."

[General] Directed to Pukk, Loamian asks, "Don't you mean de-storming?"

Kayse adds, "Though it was clever nonetheless."

Eralice softly says, "Why can't we have a problem that I could plant my fist in? All this magic storms, death trap castles full of magic."

Speaking quietly to herself, Raelee asks, "... what is wrong with porridge?"

Speaking to Kayse, Darphin asks, "Better when they are hot and just a little thick?"

Speaking to Eralice, Kiyna says, "If only."

Speaking wryly to Darphin, Kayse says, "I suppose it depends on your preference."

Tikba says, "Porridge is very nourishing. But not as nice when cold."

[General] Directed to Loamian, Pukk exclaims, "That was a missed opportunity. Thank you for catching it!"

Speaking slowly to Tikba, Kayse asks, "Is this another metaphor?"

Elidal says, "Lady Aronia knows of my feelings. My relationship with her will also determine my course with the barony."

Speaking to Kayse, Darphin says, "Id argue youre hard pressed to find someone who wants cold and lumpy."

Elidal says, "Which is my primary focus. I did not come here for love. Not yet."

Speaking softly to Raelee, Eralice says, "If you want a list you're going to need a World (literally), a world of paper and oceans of ink."

Speaking uncertainly to Kayse, Tikba says, "I think that was just about porridge."

Elidal says, "...and yes Kayse, we're still close, her and I but...there's some distance as of late."

Speaking to Eralice, Raelee says, "... that seems excessive."

Speaking to Darphin, Kayse says, "Sleepy likes Helga...."

Elidal says, "Perhaps it's the late hour, or the absence of Geijon but..."

Kayse nods understandingly at Elidal.

Elidal says, "She may worry about my feelings, but I know how she has looked at Sablo in recent times."

Elidal says, "It is quite possible she has feelings for him."

Speaking to Kayse, Darphin says, "If your gonna make porridge someone has to wash the dishes i guess."

Elidal says, "Sablo? I could not tell you the man even has feelings himself so..."

Elidal chuckles.

Speaking softly to Raelee, Eralice says, "Really? Look around. . .then take a trip north and look in Icemule . . . check out the Empire, the Faendryl, the King of the Elven Nations."

Speaking to Elidal, Perigourd says, "We all have feelings."

Vaemyr says, "I mean, she seemed to like the look of Haiden, so might have a type. We can't exactly help what we are attracted to."

>mychar almost chuckles or experiences something resembling emotion for the first time since the discussion began at the thought of Aronia abandoning Elidal for Sablo.

Kiyna says, "Sablo, though? Awful taste if so."

Speaking to Elidal, Kayse says, "Only take the right woman."

Udari says, "I doubt the ladies are lining up to see that human."

Elidal says, "But I appreciate the advice."

Elidal nods at Tikba.

Elidal says, "I'll consider it, when the time is right."

Kayse distractedly asks, "I wonder what she sees in him?"

Kayse's expression is ponderous as she chews on one side of her lip.

Speaking softly to Raelee, Eralice says, "But, we always have to have hope, otherwise we would just bog down and die off."

Tikba whispers something to Kayse.

Speaking to Eralice, Raelee asks, "... how does that relate to porridge?"

Elidal says, "Bold, decisive, unafraid, unmoved by opinions and not beholden to pleasing others."

Elidal nods at Kayse.

'Speaking to Tikba, Kayse agrees, "Fair."

Elidal says, "All things I do not always wield so easily."

Eralice softly says, "No no no, I overheard you speaking to yourself. About what is wrong with people."

Speaking to Elidal, Kayse says, "That is basically what Tikba said."

Kayse appears to be struggling to keep a straight face as she glances at Tikba.

Vaemyr says, "Alright well, it is getting late, tis good seeing everyone tonight, hope everyone has a good rest later whenever you all decide to retire."

Drazaa whispers something to Kayse.

Speaking to Elidal, Vaemyr says, "Night to you as well Elidal."

Speaking bemusedly to Raelee, Lachonus mutters, "You're making me hungry."

Speaking to Eralice, Raelee says, "... what is wrong with people, in the broad sense, is... a rather large topic."

An errant gust of wind swirls through the square, stirring up dust and rattling the branches of the oak tree. Small twigs, a smattering of leaves, and a lone acorn are shaken loose. The nutty projectile drops directly on Drazaa's head, bounces off, and tumbles onto the platform.

Drazaa apologetically says, "The hour is late and I am in need of rest. Be well everyone, I will be reflective of what has been shared tonight."

Elidal bows to Vaemyr.

Town Councilor Vaemyr just went west.

You notice Drazaa moving stealthily northwest.

Lylia picks up a large acorn.

Elidal nods.

Speaking to Lylia, Kayse says, "He did not even notice."

Lylia offers Kayse a large acorn.

Speaking softly to Raelee, Eralice says, "Sans the world of paper and oceans of ink."

Kayse accepts Lylia's large acorn.

Lylia says, "Tell him he dropped that."

Speaking to a large acorn, Kayse says, "I will throw you at him again later."

Elidal says, "Thank you for your company and time this evening."

Elidal says, "Goodnight everyone."

Speaking wryly to Elidal, Tikba says, "Good luck, Elidal. Sleep well."

Lylia says, "Always a pleasure."

Lylia says, "Give our best to Enisius."

Speaking to Elidal, Darphin says, "Be safe."

Eralice softly says, "Good night."

Elidal waves.

Elidal bows.

Lord Elidal just went northwest.

[General] The ghost of Polveiss thinks, "Ow."

Kayse shouts, "Be bold!"

[General] Ouidanna exclaims, "Utoh!"

[General] Directed to Polveiss, Eralice exclaims, "Pol!!!"

Leafiara concludes, "Let it not be said that I didn't give him his twentieth or so chance by suffering that entire ramble."

[she leaves; I assume the conversation continued for a bit]
