Short Summary
Prax says the Bleaklands' soil bears similar signatures to the Wizardwaste, but that the Bleaklands are expanding and seem to be an "improved" wasteland. Nonetheless, the soil can help cure Larsya, hopefully within a week.
Meanwhile, the militia inspects Prax's ship. After Prax is informed, the militia shows everyone gathered there a room where experiments were conducted on krolvin and half-krolvin prisoners. Prax leaves the vicinity and returns to the outpost.
There Prax takes questions and lays out his plans. Confirming that he is the Alchemist, he says he'll heal Larsya and then weaponize her blood--he'll set sail with the Landing to Glaoveln in two weeks, meeting ships from Idolone including White Sparrows, and use Ayred's portals to slay the krolvin as well as have Thrayzar deliver the poison in Larsya's blood to Kragnack. Afterward Snout will provide the potion to restore Thrayzar, but Prax himself has no intent to return; he'll take the poison he crafted for Rysus to regain the use of his legs and fight the krolvin to avenge his wife and unborn child, then join them.
Detailed Summary
- As militiamen hurry about town on drills, including Captains Shinann and Stormyrain, Prax comes to Moot Hall to report regarding Larsya. After giving credit to Xorus for doing much of the lifting in his progress, Prax explains that he had soil from the Wizardwaste to compare against his new samples with the Bleaklands--which he says "may as well be dubbed the Bloodlands."
- Prax asks if anyone is knowledgeable about what led to the creation of the Bleaklands; Sir Cryheart, Xorus, Leafiara, and Magister Raelee explain that Prelate Chaston Griffin had detonated a blood marble obelisk powered by blood collected by Raznel from half-elves afflicted with her curse--an obelisk originally intended to be fired at Tamzyrr.
- Prax believes the soil will help cure Larsya, but can't fully divulge the "nearly completed" formula yet.
- Prax goes on that the soil samples are expanding and opines that the Bleaklands themselves are expanding. Meureii asks how quickly and Prax does not guess; Mayor Lylia asks if the Wizardwaste is expanding as well and he says he does not believe so. The Bleaklands, he says, seem "improved," as if one wasteland was "was not good enough or did not serve its purpose enough," and says he sees many similar signatures between both.
- Regarding Larsya, Prax hopes to have something workable within the week, though she will have to be moved away from Melgorehn's Reach since its power could undermine the cure. He is curious what will happen if the "thread" of her blood, which acts as if a temporal anchor, is snapped.
- Saranja and Ysharra raise questions about Prax's motives, but before they can get further, his assistant Snout arrives and whispers to him--and Prax announces that the militia has boarded his ship.
- The group proceeds to the ship themselves, where Prax notes the guards he had placed are nowhere to be found. Stormy, Shinann, Nazarr, and Chaoswynd are waiting inside, where Stormy pulls on a coat rack that opens a secret panel leading to a cell of chained krolvin and half-krolvin. Prax wheels out of the area and Stormy directs Shinann and Cay to follow him, and Nazarr to inform Thadston, while she updates the Mayor.
- As Lylia, Clairette, and others inspect the cell, outside Bourthian soldiers and Hendoran soldiers escort Prax away from the vicinity and back to the outpost. He says over the amunet that he'll await others and their questions in the outpost's alchemist room.
- Prax expresses disappointment in Stormy and Shinann, who say their duty is searching any ship in the Landing docks. He asks if his guards are safe and they say the only guards they saw were asleep and were left resting, but Prax says Snout had found his men knocked out and he was testing their desire for honesty. Stormy says she was honest.
- Prax asks if anyone has questions and Leafi says none she'd expect an honest answer to, but he says "try me"--so she reiterates the question Ysharra had asked at the Reach: if he is the Alchemist. He confirms it, to which few are surprised.
- Kraydak says he's working on figuring out how to kill Prax, but Prax says he can't and won't until Larsya is restored, Glaoveln sees suffering, and Thrayzar is restored. Stormy asks where Thadston is and Prax says he's fine and not here; Thrassus asks if he's being transformed into another Rone and Prax says no, since he has all he needs with Thrayzar and Ayred, and everyone will have "all of your collectibles" back when his work is done. Cruxophim asks what's to stop anyone from killing Prax and assuming control of his resources, but Prax implies he has security measures in place.
- Ysharra says Prax needs something from everyone or wouldn't be talking with them; Prax affirms it and says that he'll heal Larsya and that her blood can be weaponized into a poison to eradicate Kragnack. When the ships are done, his plan is to sail with some gathered there to Glaoveln and be met by ships from Idolone and the White Sparrows, where others will be able to use Ayred's portals in attacking the krolvin and Thrayzar will poison Kragnack.
- Leafi asks why they should trust that he won't close the portals or blow up the ships afterward to get rid of Landing witnesses who now know his plan, but Prax says Ayred isn't under his control and is pleased, as his (Ayred's) requirement was to spare Alendrial DeArchon while targeting Stephos DeArchon. Prax says that Snout will not travel to Glaoveln and that when everyone else returns, he'll provide the potion to restore Thrayzar.
- Meureii asks if Prax plans on returning and he says he intends to take the poison he made for Rysus, restoring his legs long enough to fight alongside others, tasting the blood of the krolvin and avenging his wife and unborn child--before meaning to join them. Prax says they'll sail in two weeks, pre-empting Kragnack's own promised attack.
- Xorus asks if Prax will bring airships, as he noticed sketches in the ship, which Prax says are "potential future plans" and a project he was completing for the Empire.
- Shinann and Leafi ask if Prax or someone working for him took Malluch's eyes, but Prax says no and that Malluch angered many people.
- Prax says he's not the Landing's enemy, only willing to do what they cannot; Ysharra says he sent Malluch to kill Crux, but Prax says "Malluch sent Malluch." Ysharra counters that he's forcing Thrayzar to act out his part, but Prax asks if it changes anything that "Thrayzar was easier to convert than most," saying one can never be certain where the formula begins and they end.
- Roblar asks if what's in Larsya is part of what will make Prax walk again and he shakes his head.
- Lylia asks if he knows what Grishom Stone wanted with Larsya's blood and he says he's not sure whether it was the elven quality to her blood, temporal thread, or something else.
- Prax reiterates to Stormy that Thrayzar will be returned to her and everyone.
Highlights
Praxopius says, "It is as if [Larsya's blood is] an anchor, tied to something. In an almost temporal sense." Praxopius says, "I would liken it to a string. A thread of some sort." Speaking to Praxopius, Ysharra asks, "Then what's on the other end of the tether?" Praxopius says, "Or where." Ysharra says, "It's always doom. We have six types of doom before breakfast around here."
Speaking to Praxopius, Kraydak says, "I'm workin on figuring out how I kill you without a fine." Praxopius says, "You can't kill me yet." Praxopius says, "And you won't." Praxopius says, "Not until Larsya is restored, Glaoveln sees suffering, and Thrayzar is returned to you." Speaking curiously to Praxopius, Cruxophim wonders, "What's to stop anyone from just slitting your throat here and assuming control of your resources?" Praxopius asks, "You think I'd be so forthcoming if I did not have security measures in place?" Speaking nonchalantly to Praxopius, Cruxophim remarks, "Not everyone is so concerned about consequences, I'd imagined you'd picked that up by now."
Speaking to Praxopius, Leafiara says, "You better have more of those gauntlets that can raise the dead..." Praxopius grins. Leafiara says, "Because you just might be one cleric short on that particular journey." Praxopius says, "No I won't be." Praxopius says, "You will go." Leafiara smirks at Praxopius. Praxopius says, "Because you love Wehnimer's Landing." Leafiara simply says, "You'll have to see." Praxopius says, "And you fight for freedom." Speaking to Leafiara, Lylia says, "I should hope you would go. How many lives Kragnack's death would spare..." Speaking to Lylia, Leafiara rebuts, "You have it handled. Another Ta'Ashrim, yes? And you only needed a few ships landing there." Lylia notes, "We do not have the Three Sisters with us." Lylia says, "I have no sisters at all. So I shall need something else to accomplish it..."

Meeting and Militia
[Town Square Central]
This is the heart of the main square of Wehnimer's Landing. The impromptu shops of the bazaar are clustered around this central gathering place, where townsfolk, travellers, and adventurers meet to talk, conspire or raise expeditions to the far-flung reaches of Elanith. At the north end, an old well, with moss-covered stones and a craggy roof, is shaded from the moonlight by a strong, robust tree. The oak is tall and straight, and it is apparent that the roots run deep. You also see an herbal remedy donation bin and some stone benches with some stuff on it.
Thunder rumbles in the distance, heralding cold winds and a coming storm.
Some militiaman move by hurriedly.
Praxopius: "Evening."
Praxopius: "I shall be along shortly to town. I've some progress made on Larsya I believe."
Praxopius: "I am coming now. Perhaps outside Moot Hall?"
[Town Square, East]
Here in the center of a broad plaza near the commercial area of the bazaar stands the impressive facade of the slate-roofed Moot Hall, where the citizens of Wehnimer's Landing hold various official, religious and social functions. Facing the square are some of the town's more prosperous shops, still doing business with the many customers who still frequent the streets at night. You also see a large purple wooden barrel and a bone-framed bulletin board.
Praxopius wheels into the area.
Some militiamen move through the streets, heading off in a few different directions.
Praxopius gazes in wonder at his surroundings.
Thrassus asks, "Why are they rushing about so much this night?"
Lylia offhandedly says, "Drills, perhaps."
Praxopius says, "Late night drills...."
Praxopius says, "Interesting."
Cryheart says, "Seems strange to me."
Praxopius asks, "Shall we head inside?"
Praxopius says, "Rain and all."
Ysharra says, "Perhaps they know something we don't."
Praxopius says, "I shouldn't want Sir Cryheart to rust."
Praxopius chuckles.
Praxopius joins Cryheart's group.
Cryheart says, "Neither wold I."
Cryheart asks, "To your office, mayor?"
Cryheart says, "Ok..moving to the Mayor's office."
Lylia says, "My office is up the stairs. But if someone is willing to lend some assistance..."
Chamorr heartily says, "He wouldn't rust if he used dung salve."
Lauranathalasa says, "I'm sure Chamorr can carry him."
Lylia says, "But yes, my office would do nicely."
Cryheart says, "Bear, pick up Praxopius and his chair if ye dinnae mind."
Cryheart nods at Chamorr.
Chamorr heartily says, "Sure."
Praxopius grins.
[Moot Hall, Mayor Lylia's Office]
From a dais, the maoral desk and an ivory and velvet curule seat loom over two carved wooden chairs. Tapestry rugs cover the hardwood floor, their patterns complementing the arched windows flanking the desk. A stag's head stares at a panoramic fresco mounted opposite it. In a corner near the bar, a scarred witchwood perch rises to the high ceiling, while several feet away, a black iron stove rests against the west wall and is topped with a silver kettle. You also see a varnished modwir door, a maoral bookcase and a small maoral sideboard with some stuff on it.
Also here: Saranja, Xorus, Yakushi, Alsthar, Lady Sairai, Takoa, Thornstar, Barreaus, Kraydak, Commander Roblar, Ontes, Irar, Maltreis, Ambassador Ardwen, Pietra, Lord Chamorr, Great Lord Gryzzlbok, Lady Florania, Luathaich, Zosopage, Claudaro, Syphaer, Tsarok, Sewer Scamp Ushakaron, High Lady Lauranathalasa who is sitting, Kledalf, Magnificos, Praxopius, Magister Raelee, Mayor Lylia who is sitting, Melikor, Ysharra, Lord Thrassus, Sir Cryheart, Marshal Meureii
Cryheart says, "Now ye can set him down."
Praxopius grins.
Praxopius says, "A fine enough spot."
(Zosopage steadies the chair as Chamorr almost drops Praxopius.)
Praxopius asks, "The Captains are absent tonight?"
Praxopius says, "I had thought they'd wish to hear of some news, but, word will spread."
Lylia says, "They may be overseeing the drills."
Leafiara speculatively says, "Maybe checking on what the militia are out and about for."
Lylia nods in agreement.
Xorus says, "Strange."
Lylia says, "I shall be certain they hear everything they should."
Praxopius nods.
The Origin of the Bleaklands--or Bloodlands
Praxopius says, "I want to thank you all for your help last evening."
Praxopius says, "I will not lie. That place was frightening."
Praxopius says, "I have made some progress I believe."
Praxopius says, "Well, I say we, but in truth..."
Praxopius points at Xorus.
Xorus nods slowly.
Praxopius says, "That man there, has done quite a bit of the lifting."
Praxopius says, "I've tried to run a few comparisons."
Praxopius says, "In my collection, I had some soil from Toullaire. Well, the Wizardwaste now, if you will."
Praxopius says, "A small amount...but something to play with."
Thrassus asks, "How do they compare with the Bleaklands samples?"
Praxopius says, "There are some similarities."
Praxopius says, "But, indeed a difference."
Praxopius says, "The Bleaklands may as well be dubbed the Bloodlands."
Praxopius says, "I had found some...residue. Fragments...remnants if you will."
Praxopius says, "Of something. In almost every sample taken from there."
Praxopius asks, "Is anyone, knowledgeable, on what happened that led to the creation of the Bleaklands?"
Cryheart says, "Well...it had to do with Chaston the prelate."
Praxopius says, "Yes, but, what..."
Xorus says, "There was a blood marble obelisk that was detonated."
Praxopius says, "Exactly happened."
Praxopius asks, "A ritual?"
Praxopius says, "A..."
Cryheart says, "He cast something or detonated."
Praxopius says, "I see."
Cryheart says, "And that was his end."
Praxopius says, "An artifact of sorts that set it off."
Leafiara says, "An obelisk powered by blood marble, which Raznel had previously collected."
Praxopius nods.
Speaking to Praxopius, Raelee says, "Designed to be directed at Tamzyrr through a portal."
Cryheart says, "The reason Chaston wanted to be near Talador was all the blood marble in mines found there."
Praxopius says, "So a few things I have learned, and I am certain I will discover more."
Xorus says, "I was not present in the region when it happened. It is my impression she fueled it with blood from the sickened half-elves."
Praxopius says, "I believe the soil will help cure Larsya. Mixed with some other theories of ours, it can be used to restore her."
Praxopius says, "I can not divulge fully all of the information just yet, as I am sure you understand."
Speaking distantly to Xorus, Leafiara affirms, "Yes... that's what happened."
Xorus nods.
Claudaro asks, "So... you came to say you made progress, but... can't talk about the progress, and ask for a history lesson?"
Praxopius says, "No. I will not share the nearly completed formula for Larsya's cure."
Praxopius says, "Not yet of course."
Praxopius says, "But I believe using the soil, as an ingredient with a mixture..."
Praxopius says, "Can save her."
Praxopius says, "Which leads me to believe, what was used to originally poison her..."
Praxopius says, "Tied back to a place similir to the Bleaklands."
The Expansion of the Bleaklands
Praxopius says, "In addition..."
Praxopius says, "The soil samples."
Praxopius says, "They are expanding."
Irar asks, "Expanding?"
Praxopius nods.
Xorus says, "I noticed the soil behaving that way in the Bleaklands."
Praxopius says, "Growing. As if the original source..."
Praxopius says, "It is merely an observation..."
Praxopius says, "It is my opinion that the Bleaklands are expanding."
Speaking curiously to Praxopius, Meureii asks, "How quickly?"
Praxopius shrugs at Meureii.
Praxopius says, "I could not guess how quickly."
Speaking to Praxopius, Lylia asks, "Is the Wizardwaste likewise expanding, or is it stable? And what explains the differences between them?"
Praxopius says, "The Wizardwaste soil did not exemplify the same qualities. So no, I do not believe it to be expanding."
Raelee says, "The Wizardwaste has been present for centuries and has remained fairly unchanged."
Praxopius says, "Whatever the Bleaklands is...it feels, as if it is improved."
Lylia says, "Precisely. So I was curious as to what was different."
Praxopius says, "Perhaps one wasteland was not good enough."
Praxopius says, "Or did not serve its purpose enough."
Praxopius says, "There's many signatures that are similar between both wastelands."
Praxopius nods at Meureii.
Praxopius says, "Indeed though, I am confident with Xorus' findings, and my added components, including the soil, that we can cure Larsya."
Xorus nods.
Praxopius says, "It will require we move her from the Reach, in order to apply it."
Praxopius says, "I should hope to have something workable by this time, or sooner, of next week."
Praxopius says, "The temporal power of the Reach could in theory undermine our attempt."
Praxopius says, "I also am, intrigued..."
Praxopius says, "Because of her blood."
Praxopius says, "It is as if it's an anchor, tied to something. In an almost temporal sense."
Praxopius says, "I would liken it to a string. A thread of some sort."
Speaking to Praxopius, Ysharra says, "Something that would snap back."
Praxopius says, "I am curious, if that thread is snapped..."
Praxopius shrugs.
Praxopius nods.
Speaking to Praxopius, Zosopage asks, "Perhaps if we took her to a temporal rift?"
Praxopius looks over at Zosopage and shakes his head.
Zosopage says, "Just a thought."
Praxopius says, "No. We need her away from temporal powers."
Zosopage nods.
Praxopius says, "The temporal flow is what is stabilizing her."
Ysharra says, "That almost makes it sound like the poison is a tool for some other purpose."
Xorus says, "If it is the linchpin holding something in place, and our pulling it was part of a plan all along."
Xorus says, "Mm. Dangerous mysteries."
Praxopius points at Ysharra.
Praxopius taps his nose.
Ysharra nods at Praxopius.
Praxopius says, "Precisely."
Praxopius nods at Ysharra.
Speaking to Praxopius, Ysharra asks, "Then what's on the other end of the tether?"
Praxopius says, "Or where."
Praxopius nods at Ysharra.
Ysharra says, "It's always doom. We have six types of doom before breakfast around here."
Leafiara says, "Or... when."
Zosopage says, "Or when."
Speaking softly to Praxopius, Saranja hisses, "Everything is a tool to you, Betrayer... you want the poison for yourself."
Speaking to Praxopius, Ysharra says, "I think she's wrong about the poison part."
Praxopius peers quizzically at Ysharra.
Praxopius asks, "What do you mean?"
Speaking to Praxopius, Ysharra says, "I do wonder about your motives, too."
Praxopius peers quizzically at Ysharra.
Secrets on the Ship
A huge scar-faced giantman storms in, leans down and whispers something to Praxopius. His gold-speckled blue eyes squint, and he clenches his jaw. He nods to the giantman who then storms off.
Praxopius sighs.
Praxopius says, "If they wanted to board, they could have just asked."
Praxopius asks, "Mayor Lylia, would you escort us all to the north dock please?"
Praxopius says, "The militia have boarded my ship."
Lylia stands up.
Lylia gives a sigh of resignation.
Praxopius says, "Let us go."
Praxopius nods.
Praxopius clenches his jaw.
(Lylia snaps her fingers and directs someone with more brawn than brains to pick up the wheeled chair and its occupant.)
Lylia imperiously says, "See to him."
[Wehnimer's, North Dock]
The dock's planks are dull and weathered from the salt spray of many seasons. Northward beyond the massive sea gates, a flock of ice geese passes, silhouetted against the sky over the dark blue waters of Darkstone Bay. The hulk of a derelict coastal sailer is tethered to the end of the pier. You also see a huge grey imperial ship, the skeletal frames of large ships, some stacked piles of supplies, some huge wooden crates, a stack of empty crates, the dark waters of Darkstone Bay and a black imperial wagon with a glowing blue-white pylon on it.
Mayor Lylia's group just went into a huge grey imperial ship.
[The Titan]
Along the side of the mainmast, a ladder mounted with iron brackets rises high above and into the crow's nest. From one of the brackets hangs a round, glass-encased oil lantern. You also see a green-eyed metal construct, a green-eyed metal construct, a green-eyed metal construct, a huge blue-whorled white pylon, a huge blue-whorled white pylon, a huge blue-whorled white pylon and a huge blue-whorled white pylon.
Praxopius sighs.
Praxopius says, "I had guards placed..."
Praxopius says, "...and yet they are nowhere to be found."
Praxopius frowns.
Praxopius glances at Lylia.
Praxopius asks, "Is it common practice for the militia to do this?"
Leafiara lightly asks, "Do ya really need guards when ya have these constructs?"
Praxopius peers quizzically at Lylia.
Praxopius says, "The constructs are to man the pylons. Not war."
Leafiara understandingly says, "Ah."
(Lylia returns Praxopius's gaze with a troubled frown.)
Lylia says, "I do not exercise as much control over the militia as I should, perhaps."
Praxopius says, "Let's proceed."
Praxopius nods at Lylia.
Praxopius says, "I am not sure if I am in danger if Thadston is on board."
Mayor Lylia's group just went south.
[The Titan]
A squat iron mooring sits off to the port side of the deck, wound with massive coils of chain, which no doubt support the ship's anchor. Overhead, rope shrouds and riggings crisscross, creating an almost web-like pattern. You also see a green-eyed metal construct, a green-eyed metal construct, a green-eyed metal construct, a huge blue-whorled white pylon, a huge blue-whorled white pylon and a huge blue-whorled white pylon.
Praxopius glances at Lylia.
Mayor Lylia's group just went south.
[The Titan]
A short set of steps with an elaborate banister lead from the lower deck to the ship's wheel, and oil lanterns mounted on the rail posts light the way. You also see a green-eyed metal construct, a green-eyed metal construct, a green-eyed metal construct, a huge blue-whorled white pylon, a huge blue-whorled white pylon, a huge blue-whorled white pylon and a huge blue-whorled white pylon.
Mayor Lylia's group just went down.
[The Titan, Below Deck]
The walls below decks are paneled with rich mahogany, and gold-mounted oil lamps perched upon the walls illuminate the otherwise dark corridor.
Mayor Lylia's group just went south.
[The Titan, Below Deck]
The hall terminates at a dark mahogany wall draped with a deep blue tapestry embroidered with a white horse with a black rose clenched in its teeth. Flanking the tapestry are a pair of sconced oil lamps. You also see a carved wooden door.
As Lylia makes her way toward a carved wooden door, she gets caught by a tripwire!
A faintly glowing sigil flares up and explodes around Lylia!
... 10 points of damage!
Heavy spark to left eye causes tears and redness.
Mayor Lylia's group just went through a carved wooden door.
[The Titan, Quarters]
Windows curtained with blue velvet drapes face the doorway, and a large gilt-framed bed occupies the majority of the floor space in front of them. An orderly desk, covered with a variety of quills, parchments, and sundries, is pushed against the far wall, and a leather-cushioned chair rests beneath. On the opposing wall, an armoire with carved doors stands sentinel, with a wash stand on one side and a coat rack on the other. You also see a wooden stand.
Also here: Luathaich, Zosopage, Claudaro, Syphaer, Tsarok, Sewer Scamp Ushakaron, High Lady Lauranathalasa, Kledalf, Praxopius, Magister Raelee, Melikor, Ysharra, Lord Thrassus, Sir Cryheart, Marshal Meureii, Commander Roblar, Lady Florania, Great Lord Gryzzlbok, Pietra, Ambassador Ardwen, Irar, Ontes, Kraydak, Xorus, Saranja, Mistress Clairette, Lord Arianiss, Takoa, Alsthar, Laralana, Mayor Lylia, Stormyrain, Great Lord Nazarr, Chaoswynd, Shinann
Stormyrain gives a short little hum of surprise.
Speaking to Lylia, Stormyrain says, "Mayor."
Praxopius frowns.
Lylia coolly says, "Captain."
Speaking to Lylia, Stormyrain says, "I believe we have something to show you."
Praxopius asks, "Can you tell me, at least. Are my guards alive and healthy?"
Stormyrain asks, "If you would be so kind to follow me?"
Stormyrain points at a wooden coat rack.
Stormyrain pulls a wooden coat rack.
A panel in the wall slides open and Zosopage is sucked into the opening!
Stormyrain says, "Pardon me all of you for this."
Stormyrain pulls a wooden coat rack.
A panel in the wall slides open and Laralana is sucked into the opening!
Lylia says, "If I follow, then --"
[Stormy continues pullling on the rack as people get sucked in to find...]
[The Titan, Cell]
A large T-shaped rack stands at the center of this cell, its limbs and base outfitted with pairs of manacles and shackles. You also see the Ysharra disk, the orange Syphaer disk, the pallid grey Melikor disk emblazoned with a vibrant scarlet pentacle, the seaweed-covered Luathaich disk, the Tsarok disk, the earth brown Alsthar disk, the Clairette disk, the Kraydak disk, the Kledalf disk, a blue-eyed white baby kitten, the Laralana disk, a chained krolvin, a chained krolvin, a half-krolvin corpse, a wheeled wooden cart and a heavy steel door.
You hit the floor with a loud *THUD*.
Roundtime: 10 sec.
Praxopius wheels out the door.
Speaking to Lylia, Stormyrain says, "Madame Mayor as you can see this has been used--"
Speaking to Shinann, Stormyrain says, "Follow him."
Speaking to Chaoswynd, Stormyrain says, "Go with."
Chaoswynd leans towards the a heavy steel door and utters a soft phrase under his breath. Slowly, he fades out of existence.
Speaking to Nazarr, Stormyrain says, "You too, inform Thadston."
Stormyrain says, "I will update the Mayor."
Stormyrain points at a heavy steel door.
Stormyrain says, "You know how."
Stormyrain nods.
Nazarr leans towards the a heavy steel door and utters a soft phrase under his breath. Slowly, he fades out of existence.
Lylia scowls.
Speaking to Lylia, Stormyrain says, "As you can see---it looks as if there have been multiple experiments here. We surmise that the half-krolvin that turned to dust was from here."
Stormyrain loudly says, "Anyone that wishes to leave, whisper "Justice" to the door."
Stormyrain nods at Shinann.
>look krol
The krolvin is chained to the wall, various scatches and small wounds covering its body. Blood stains its loin cloth. Its head sways from time to time, and occasionally emits a low groan.
>look corp
The corpse appears to be that of a half-krolvin. It is huddled in a corner, knees drawn to its chest, perhaps a testament to its agony before its demise. No physical wounds can be seen on the corpse safe for bruising along the wrists and ankles.
Xorus says, "... justice."
Shinann leans towards the a heavy steel door and utters a soft phrase under her breath. Slowly, she fades out of existence.
Speaking to Xorus, Stormyrain says, "..Justice."
Speaking to Stormyrain, Ysharra says, "Someone's proud of theselves for coming up with that password."
Speaking to Ysharra, Stormyrain says, "I'm sure he is quite proud of himself."
Speaking to Lylia, Stormyrain says, "There are Bourthian soldiers on deck Mayor."
Lylia flatly says, "Oh, the Bourthians now as well."
Speaking to Lylia, Stormyrain asks, "I need to find my people, and Thadston. We were unable to discern the notes in the cart. Mayhaps someone else will have better luck?"
Stormyrain says, "Again, when you are ready to leave; whisper justice to the door and it will allow you to escape."
Zosopage says, "That looks familiar."
>look cart
On the cart are a variety of tools, small blades, empty vials and beakers, stained and fresh rags, some unreadable scribbled notes, and some polished glass syringes.
Speaking to Lylia, Stormyrain says, "I will keep you updated."
(Lylia touches the notes on the cart, her expression as unreadable as the scrawls that cover the parchment.)
Speaking thoughtfully to Zosopage, Leafiara asks, "Thinking of the one beneath Shantytown?"
Zosopage nods to Leafiara.
Lylia says, "Thank you, Captain. I appreciate your doing so."
Ysharra says, "And the one in our own jailhouse."
Shadows dance between Lylia's outstretched fingers as she issues a command in archaic Faendryl.
Lylia gestures at a chained krolvin.
Nothing happens.
Speaking to Lylia, Clairette asks, "So, we're to leave the krol chained up for whatever deviants to perform experiments?"
Lylia nods once.
Lylia says, "Mithril. I cannot end them."
Clairette glances suspiciously at a chained krolvin.
Speaking to Clairette, Lylia says, "You are welcome to try. I just did. They are warded well."
>whisper door justice
Your surroundings slowly fade out of existence. Try hard as you might, you can't keep your eyes focused on the disappearing room. Eyes watering, you blink and find yourself in a new location.
[Leafi proceeds to explore and comes across...]
[The Titan]
Along the side of the mainmast, a ladder mounted with iron brackets rises high above and into the crow's nest. From one of the brackets hangs a round, glass-encased oil lantern. You also see a Bourthian soldier, a Bourthian soldier, a Bourthian soldier, a Bourthian soldier, a Bourthian soldier, an armored Hendoran soldier, an armored Hendoran soldier, an armored Hendoran soldier, an armored Hendoran soldier, a green-eyed metal construct, a green-eyed metal construct, a green-eyed metal construct, a huge blue-whorled white pylon, a huge blue-whorled white pylon, a huge blue-whorled white pylon and a huge blue-whorled white pylon.
Also here: Takoa, Sir Cryheart, Xorus, Alsthar, Lord Thrassus, Stormyrain, Claudaro, Marshal Meureii, Shinann, Great Lord Nazarr, Chaoswynd
The Hendoran soldiers and Bourthian soldiers help escort Praxopious away, towards the Hendoran Outpost.
Thrassus says, "Well."
Leafiara uncertainly asks, "Hmm. Under their protection, I suppose?"
Claudaro says, "Well, if no one stops them, then yes they will."
Nazarr says, "I should've ambushed him when I had the chance."
Praxopius: "I will await you in the Outpost, if you have questions. I trust you'll at least enter openly, and not feel the need to sneak inside."
Speaking slowly to Stormyrain, Chaoswynd asks, "Are the rest still below?"
Xorus darkly jokes, "You could have taken out his legs."
Cryheart says, "Niters all."
Speaking to Chaoswynd, Stormyrain says, "To the outpost then."
Q&Alchemist
[Hendoran Outpost, Alchemist]
A thick wooden table sits beneath a wide wood-framed blackboard and dominates the center of the room, where it is surrounded by a number of locked chests and trunks, many of them labeled with the crest of the Hall of Mages. Large curtains flank an arched rune-etched window, allowing for the quick extinguishing of light, while numerous candles in various states of melted usage perch from precarious places throughout the room. The faint aroma of sulphur and herbs lingers in the air of the area. You also see a wash basin, a rune-carved wooden door, a tall invar brazier, a basket of sticks, a gold talon-shaped lantern mounted on a nearby wall and a sturdy wooden chair.
Also here: Shinann, Chaoswynd, Lord Thrassus, Xorus, Stormyrain, Claudaro, Great Lord Nazarr, Marshal Meureii
Meureii says, "Would think this would be his most comfortable place here."
Raelee suddenly fades into view.
Raelee says, "Oh no, it is not."
Praxopius: "I shall be to the Alchemist room in the Outpost shortly."
Thrassus says, "He's not likely to be here due to the stairs."
Speaking slowly to Raelee, Chaoswynd says, "Pardon the intrusion, as it were."
Nazarr asks, "The tavern, perhaps?"
Xorus says, "He is coming this way."
Meureii says, "He will be along shortly."
Speaking dryly to Chaoswynd, Leafiara says, "Good luck with a pardon from her."
Speaking to Nazarr, Stormyrain murmurs, "That's where I would like to be, honestly."
Mayor Lylia's group just arrived.
Meureii says, "A shame we are at his whim still."
Speaking to Meureii, Ysharra says, "That couldn't have been easy for you."
Speaking quietly to herself, Raelee hisses, "This is a laboratory, not a meeting room."
Speaking honestly to Ysharra, Meureii says, "I have seen worse."
Ardwen says, "Getting slow."
Ardwen nods at Roblar.
Speaking to Ysharra, Meureii says, "But he did nae deserve to die chained next to his slavers in such a way."
Speaking to Meureii, Ysharra says, "You and I were there when we found what was left of some other hathlyn."
Lylia quietly says, "Hands to yourselves. There is no need to handle everything or lounge about. The magister is correct; this is not a meeting-hall."
Lylia notes, "Or a mayor's office, where people feel free to paw my papers."
Praxopius wheels into view.
Praxopius frowns at Shinann.
Praxopius frowns at Stormyrain.
Stormyrain raises an eyebrow in Praxopius's direction.
Praxopius says, "I'm a little disappointed."
Speaking to Praxopius, Shinann says, "It is our duty to search every ship that comes into this port."
Speaking to Praxopius, Clairette asks, "That our attentive militia discovered something they shouldn't have?"
Ysharra asks, "That they found your krolvin labrats and showed them to us?"
Praxopius says, "Oh, that ship has been here since my arrival."
Speaking to Praxopius, Stormyrain says, "The militia retains the right to search any ship in our docks at any point in time. This is not new information. We were running drills, we thought that yours would be a safe one to use new recruits in."
Praxopius asks, "Are my guards safe?"
Praxopius peers quizzically at Shinann.
Shinann says, "I did not talk to any guards."
Shinann nods at Praxopius.
Praxopius asks, "Oh?"
Stormyrain says, "The only guards I saw were asleep."
Praxopius asks, "Did you see any?"
Lylia says, "That is not an answer, Captain."
Stormyrain says, "I saw several guards, they were asleep. We left them where they were resting."
Lylia nods once.
Shinann says, "They were not awake."
Shinann says, "So, I did not talk to them."
Praxopius asks, "Did you now?"
Speaking quietly to Praxopius, Saranja says, "You care for others' safety? How rare."
Luathaich asks, "Hm. Laziness or something more sinister?"
Praxopius sighs.
Praxopius says, "I've asked questions I know the answer to."
Lauranathalasa says, "Why would you ask a question if you know the answer."
Praxopius says, "Snout found my men. They were knocked out."
Nazarr joins Chaoswynd's group.
Chaoswynd just slipped quietly through a rune-carved wooden door, with his group following closely.
Praxopius says, "I was testing the Captains' desire for honesty, should they want mine."
Shinann frowns at Stormyrain.
(Lylia rounds on Praxopius, her anger now directed at him.)
Lylia says, "Yes, honesty would be good."
Praxopius says, "It is unfortunate they chose not to participate."
Speaking to Praxopius, Kraydak says, "You're crazy."
Speaking to Praxopius, Stormyrain says, "I was honest. The guards I saw were asleep."
Praxopius glances at a rune-carved wooden door.
Leafiara amusedly says, "That's pretty rich coming from you."
Speaking curiously to Praxopius, Clairette asks, "Did the chained up krol choose to participate?"
Praxopius asks, "Are you defending krolvin?"
Claudaro says, "Honesty in the Landing? Better luck taking ale from a dwarf."
Praxopius peers quizzically at Clairette.
Lylia hisses, "Choose? Do the slaves they take get choices?"
Speaking to Praxopius, Meureii corrects, "Mothers. Blood."
Pietra: "Maybe she's against enslavement."
Speaking to Praxopius, Irar says, "I rather think it was a statement about basic decency."
Praxopius asks, "Did you find what you needed on the ship?"
Speaking to Lylia, Clairette says, "There is a difference between fighting a foe and dissecting a foe. Not that you would see a difference, there."
Lylia flatly says, "Decency."
Speaking to Clairette, Lylia says, "Oh, I see a difference."
Ysharra says, "There is a matter of diplomacy and risk, too."
Speaking to Praxopius, Stormyrain says, "We certainly found enough to make our normal drill exciting."
Praxopius asks, "Has anyone questions then?"
Ysharra says, "Lylia told the Krolvin Warlord that we were not involved in the hostility toward them, save for what they threatened us with."
Ysharra says, "But by association, we're certainly involved now."
Leafiara dismissively says, "None that I'd expect an honest answer to."
Praxopius says, "Try me."
Praxopius grins at Leafiara.
Praxopius says, "I owe you that much, I am sure."
Praxopius chuckles.
Leafiara says, "Well, let's start with Yshara's question from the Reach, then..."
Lylia says, "We were not. Now we know more, and in knowing, that assurance rings hollow."
Speaking to Praxopius, Clairette asks, "What is the nature of the experiments in the brig of The Titan?"
Praxopius asks, "Remind me?"
Ysharra says, "...there weren't just krolvin in there."
Speaking quietly to herself, Raelee mutters, "Why are we in here as opposed to the war room?"
Speaking to Praxopius, Leafiara repeats, "Are you 'the Alchemist'--not merely an alchemist?"
Ysharra says, "There was a half-breed, too."
Speaking to Praxopius, Lauranathalasa says, "I think you are taking too much pleasure in all of this, I thought the purpose of everything we are doing was to save the pirate lady."
Speaking to Ysharra, Clairette says, "Aye, *was*."
Ysharra says, "And the one from a few nights ago."
Zosopage asks, "Who here will volunteer to see if what Praxopius is making will cure or kill Larsya?"
Speaking confusedly to Lauranathalasa, Cruxophim mouths, "Maylan?"
Speaking to Cruxophim, Lauranathalasa says, "The other one."
Ysharra says, "We don't defend the kral's activities and their slavery, at least, most of us don't."
Speaking quietly to Zosopage, Saranja says, "I will."
Speaking to Zosopage, Raelee says, "I suspect it would kill nearly anyone else dosed with it."
Speaking to Zosopage, Raelee says, "And do not take that as a sign of nefarious intent."
Praxopius folds his hands neatly on the blanket in his lap.
Speaking to Praxopius, Leafiara asks, "Maybe you can plausibly pretend not to know what that one means, so how about this--have you conducted any experiments on half-krolvin that would result in rapid aging until they fade out of existence?"
Zosopage says, "Not saying I condone anything, just trying to understand."
Leafiara continues, "And is that what will happen to Rysus?"
Leafiara says, "Fading out of existence, that is--not rapid aging, apparently."
Kraydak says, "What's under that blanket.."
Lylia removes a crisp white scroll from in her wrap.
Leafiara looks thoughtfully at Praxopius.
Raelee says, "Poison is often cured with poison. The composition of her body is unique... applying temporal effects to set it right to a system that is already 'right' would likely pull it out of equilibrium... devastatingly."
Ysharra says, "Poison is about the dose."
Ysharra says, "Perhaps someone is using her to figure that part out."
Speaking quietly to Praxopius, Saranja asks, "I have a question... why should we trust you?"
Praxopius glances at Ysharra.
Praxopius glances at Leafiara.
Speaking coldly to Praxopius, Lylia asks, "I suppose you recognize this?"
Ysharra says, "Someone who's had a problem with time, themselves."
Lylia shows Praxopius her white scroll.
Praxopius says, "Very well then."
Praxopius nods at Lylia.
Praxopius says, "I am the Alchemist."
Ysharra nods at Praxopius.
Kraydak falls to the ground laughing hysterically!
Leafiara nods once.
Cruxophim gasps.
Stormyrain settles her gaze on Lylia, watching her intently.
Roblar smirks.
Cruxophim grins wryly.
Kraydak snickers at Roblar.
Speaking to Praxopius, Ysharra says, "This is my shocked face."
Ysharra points at herself.
Cruxophim clasps his hand over his mouth.
Stormyrain nods at Shinann.
Zosopage says, "We need to find out how she got this infliction in the first place. Who gave it to her."
Melikor snickers at Ysharra.
Cruxophim chuckles.
Lylia flatly says, "I am stunned. Truly."
Speaking simply to Ysharra, Leafiara says, "Indeed."
Kraydak stands up.
Lylia put a crisp white scroll in her wrap.
Cruxophim nods faintly at Thrassus.
Luathaich frowns.
Praxopius says, "I suspect few are surprised."
Meureii walks toward Praxopius.
Meureii offers Praxopius a silver crystal ball pin.
Praxopius accepts Meureii's crystal ball pin.
Praxopius put a silver crystal ball pin in his black leather pack.
Speaking to Praxopius, Meureii says, "Maybe this is of sentimental value to you then."
Speaking to Praxopius, Ysharra says, "You recruited Malluch when he was grieved with the loss of his woman."
Speaking to Praxopius, Kraydak says, "I'm workin on figuring out how I kill you without a fine."
Praxopius says, "You can't kill me yet."
Praxopius says, "And you won't."
Speaking to Praxopius, Ysharra says, "And attacked him in his cell when he tried to warn us about you."
Speaking quietly to Praxopius, Stormyrain asks, "Where is Thadston?"
Praxopius says, "Not until Larsya is restored, Glaoveln sees suffering, and Thrayzar is returned to you."
Xorus says, "I need Praxopius to heal the girl."
Speaking to Kraydak, Zosopage says, "We kill him and we sentence Larsya to death."
Praxopius says, "Thadston is fine."
Lylia adds, "And I need him against Glaoveln. He is correct in that."
Praxopius says, "He'll be fine."
Kraydak says, "Ok."
Speaking to Praxopius, Stormyrain repeats, "Where. Is Thadston."
Claudaro says, "I'm on board with number two of this list..."
Lylia coldly says, "Define 'fine.'"
Speaking to Praxopius, Ysharra asks, "And what else do you want? Or who else?"
Praxopius says, "He. Is. Not. Here."
Speaking loudly to Praxopius, Stormyrain growls, "Where."
Speaking to Praxopius, Shinann says, "You just admitted a moutful."
Gryzzlbok says, "He is probably with Winston, I bet."
Speaking to Praxopius, Thrassus asks, "He's not getting a Rone transformation treatment, is he?"
Praxopius says, "You'll get all of your collectibles back, when my work is done."
Praxopius says, "No."
Praxopius nods at Thrassus.
Speaking wryly to Stormyrain, Cruxophim ventures, "Thadston gone again now, as well?"
Kraydak asks, "There's no way to hang this guy and figure it out without him?"
Speaking to Praxopius, Lylia says, "I did not sacrifice Aralyte Halanori Faendryl's soulstone to bring that man back from some Ithziri abyss so you can turn him into another Rone, another lie."
Praxopius says, "I have what I need with Thrayzar and Ayred."
Speaking curiously to Praxopius, Cruxophim wonders, "What's to stop anyone from just slitting your throat here and assuming control of your resources?"
Speaking to Praxopius, Shinann says, "You do not control our town... you have admitted to kidnappng."
Praxopius begins chuckling at Cruxophim!
Roblar deeply asks, "What Ayred gets you?"
Speaking to Praxopius, Lylia says, "Good. Then I would like my interim Marshal back."
Speaking to Cruxophim, Leafiara interjects, "Or at very least arresting him and seizing them."
Speaking to Cruxophim, Meureii says, "I doubt it would work at all at this point."
Praxopius asks, "You think I'd be so forthcoming if I did not have security measures in place?"
Praxopius peers quizzically at Cruxophim.
Speaking quietly to Praxopius, Saranja says, "Hostages? Coward."
Speaking to Praxopius, Ysharra says, "I think you need something from us, too."
Speaking bemusedly to Meureii, Cruxophim counters, "Killing him? I imagine it'd work well enough."
Speaking to Praxopius, Ysharra says, "Or you wouldn't be talking with us."
Praxopius says, "I do."
Shinann asks, "Where is Breshon?"
Kraydak says, "Security measures.."
Praxopius says, "Here is what is going to happen."
Speaking nonchalantly to Praxopius, Cruxophim remarks, "Not everyone is so concerned about consequences, I'd imagined you'd picked that up by now."
Lylia coldly says, "You could ask instead of ordering."
Lylia says, "Seeing as we are being honest with one another."
Praxopius says, "The krolvin on my ship, I assume you have no care for."
Praxopius says, "Nor the half-krolvin."
Lylia sneers, "None."
Pietra says, "Assume a lot."
Praxopius says, "They were all vicious raiders. In fact, they are suspected to be of shared bloodline with Kragnack."
Praxopius says, "Or at best, Krentuk."
Praxopius says, "I have every intention of healing Larsya. She will see her youth and mind returned."
Kraydak asks, "How?"
Praxopius says, "Her blood will also serve as a weaponized poison to eradicate Kragnack."
Kraydak asks, "How will you heal her?"
Kraydak asks, "With what?"
Gryzzlbok says, "Hear him out."
Thrassus says, "With the formula he spoke of earlier, most likely."
Kraydak asks, "Where is this thing you have?"
Claudaro says, "I'm not hearing any negatives to this series of events thus far."
Speaking pointedly to Praxopius, Cruxophim states, "Sounds good, but... keep in mind, someone or another is going to have their... eyes on you now."
Speaking to Praxopius, Shinann asks, "Where is Breshon?"
Speaking to Cruxophim, Ysharra says, "I take it you don't mean a raven."
Pietra asks, "How did this crippled man wind up hiding so many people from the entire town?"
Praxopius says, "When the ships are finished, we will set sail to Glaoveln. Of those who still wish to join us. We will be met by ships from Idolone, and some White Sparrows."
Kraydak asks, "How many hours is this guy gonna stretch this out for?"
Gryzzlbok says, "It's called misdirection."
Clairette says, "I, personally, will fight the krol on the beach rather than wage blood magic against them. It makes us no better employing such vile sorcerery."
Thrassus asks, "The Sparrows aren't going to attack us again, are they?"
Speaking to Thrassus, Meureii says, "Them.."
Praxopius says, "Through Ayred's portals, you will be ease in travel, to strike at the krolvin."
Lylia sneers, "Yes, may the Arkati forfend we use vile sorcery..."
Claudaro says, "Still no negatives..."
Ysharra says, "Sorcery is not vile, and even if it were, the Krolvin Warlord has used far worse."
Praxopius says, "Thrayzar, along with some of you perhaps, will serve to bring the poison to Kragnack."
Speaking to Praxopius, Meureii asks, "When will the ships be done?"
Speaking airily to Clairette, Cruxophim counters, "Hey, vile sorcery gets the job done."
Leafiara frankly asks, "Considering all you've told us, why should anyone trust that you won't have the portals closed behind us? Or that you won't blow up the ships after the work on Glaoveln is done, to get rid of any witnesses?"
Speaking seriously to Leafiara, Meureii says, "It would all be worth it."
Zosopage says, "Wrong thing to say with magic sorcerers and blood magic users around."
Praxopius says, "I have not fashioned a way to eradicate all of the krolvin. Nor do I think I can, truthfully. Not in my lifetime. But Kragnack can die. He needs to die."
Gryzzlbok asks, "What choice have we?"
Praxopius asks, "Krolvin will always exist. But augmented with demons and undead?"
Praxopius says, "No. Our world does not need that."
Kraydak says, "Why would we hit the krolvin ever if it's mess ups like you that use em."
Speaking simply to Meureii, Leafiara says, "I don't know that I can agree with that."
Thrassus says, "He's got a good point."
Luathaich says, "Hm. A valid point, yes."
Ysharra says, "The kral have always had talented Stormcrows. It's a mistake to underestimate them. No matter how clever you think you are."
Speaking to Praxopius, Claudaro says, "That's quitter talk, a world free of those dogs is possible, with the right solution."
Speaking eagerly to Praxopius, Meureii repeats, "When will the ships be done?"
Praxopius says, "Ayred is not under my control, in the sense you think he is."
Praxopius says, "He will not close the portals on you."
Speaking quietly to Claudaro, Saranja asks, "The final solution?"
Roblar deeply asks, "Thrayzar will be set free?"
Praxopius says, "He is quite pleased." [Referring to Ayred]
Roblar deeply asks, "And some gauntlets provided to me and who ah decide to bequath em?"
Praxopius says, "I've targeted Stephos, and spared Alendrial."
Praxopius says, "It was his requirement."
Roblar deeply says, "We close to a deal."
Leafiara curtly says, "Well, at least we agree on one thing."
Praxopius says, "Thrayzar will be set free."
Praxopius says, "I will travel to Glaoveln. Snout will not."
Ysharra asks, "...will he be returned to his own mind and will?"
Praxopius says, "When you return, Snout will provide the potion needed to restore Thrayzar."
Praxopius says, "He will be as he was."
Speaking to Praxopius, Meureii asks, "You do nae plan on returning yourself?"
Stormyrain says, "No. He will not. Because of what you have done he will never be 'as he was'."
Praxopius asks, "Truthfully?"
Nazarr says, "I don't think he's planning on us returning."
Ysharra asks, "You don't ask for much, do you, Alchemist?"
Leafiara nods at Nazarr.
Claudaro asks, "Why would he return with us? What awaits him after that part of the plan?"
Praxopius says, "I intend to take the poison I crafted for Rysus. I want the use of my legs. I want the fire in my belly. I want to taste the blood of the krolvin and Kragnack next to you to avenge my wife and unborn child."
Praxopius says, "Then..."
Speaking to Praxopius, Lauranathalasa asks, "Has anyone ever said, no, lie to me?"
Praxopius says, "I wish nothing more than to join them."
Nazarr asks, "You could kill yourself now. Why wait?"
Speaking softly to Praxopius, Ysharra asks, "What was her name?"
Luathaich says, "Fascinating."
Speaking deeply to Nazarr, Roblar says, "Because veagance wudn't be his, yet."
Leafiara distantly asks, "Vengeance... a motivator for your 'Rone's and for you as well, hm?"
Speaking to Nazarr, Zosopage says, "That would help us alot now wouldn't it."
Speaking ironically to Praxopius, Saranja says, "I am sure you will be missed when you go, Betrayer."
Speaking to Nazarr, Lylia asks, "What is served by his killing himself before we turn Glaoveln into another Ta'Ashrim?"
Speaking to Praxopius, Shinann says, "You are insane."
Praxopius nods at Shinann.
Praxopius says, "Yes."
Roblar deeply says, "Let me consult some tidal charts."
Roblar deeply asks, "Let us go, say early Eoantos?"
Kraydak says, "Tide is high."
Claudaro says, "So if everything goes as outlined without a hitch, all it takes is the folks here getting over that earlier Rone business, and everyone wins."
Speaking calmly to Praxopius, Cruxophim muses, "How dramatic."
Ysharra says, "Most of us are here at the result of a series of tragic circumstances. Trauma is our common bond."
Praxopius says, "No. We'll sail within two weeks."
Lylia clearly says, "This is not merely vengeance for one man."
Praxopius says, "Before the winter of Glaoveln begins to set in."
Leafiara counters, "To him it is."
Speaking to Praxopius, Meureii asks, "And what if they arrive here first?"
Praxopius says, "He has stated when he will come."
Ysharra says, "Glaovein never freezes totally, but the icebergs will swell."
Praxopius says, "We will go to him first."
Praxopius asks, "Isn't that a refreshing change?"
Lylia says, "Yes."
Praxopius says, "Not waiting for danger to come to you."
Meureii says, "Any time starting now to be honest."
Nazarr says, "Of course, we have only your word, and we know how much that is worth."
Lylia adds, "And one we should welcome. How many of you have lost family to these raiders? How many of us have lost friends? I have been in the holds of those ships!"
Leafiara quips, "You know a guy is crazy when his plan is the same thing Hap would propose."
Saranja quietly scoffs, "He cures his own betrayal with more betrayal... we have seen that."
Lylia says, "And if you think what you saw in there was any indication of horrors..."
Lylia darkly intones, "You do not know horrors."
Xorus says, "Will you be bringing airships with these pylons? I noticed sketches in that cabin."
Praxopius says, "I have not lied. Or betrayed you."
Praxopius says, "I am not your enemy."
Speaking sublimely to Lylia, Cruxophim murmurs, "He will."
Praxopius says, "I am just willing to do what you cannot."
Praxopius grins at Xorus.
Lylia says, "One does what one must."
Speaking to Praxopius, Ysharra says, "You sent Malluch to kill Cruxophim. Or worse."
Praxopius says, "Potential future plans. A project I was completing for the Empire."
Lauranathalasa says, "But you haven't been completely honest either."
Praxopius nods at Xorus.
Leafiara says, "We could have done it--if you had told us all from the beginning. We could have found answers together."
Nazarr says, "I count three deceptions at least."
Clairette says, "Decoy wagon..."
Kraydak says, "I count 7."
Speaking to Praxopius, Shinann asks, "Did you take Malluch's eyes?"
Leafiara incredulously says, "Do what we cannot? You really underestimate the Landing."
Praxopius says, "Malluch sent Malluch, if we can be honest."
Speaking calmly to Ysharra, Cruxophim notes, "And that worked out well."
Lylia says, "And nothing stops us from taking full advantage now."
Roblar deeply says, "So about da thirteenth."
Speaking to Praxopius, Ysharra says, "He worked with your training and your tools."
Shinann says, "Since you are being honest."
Praxopius says, "I did not take Malluch's eyes."
Speaking mildly to Praxopius, Cruxophim notes, "Oh, I'm glad to hear that we're good then."
Shinann says, "I believe you on that, actually."
Speaking quietly to Lylia, Saranja says, "He does as he wills, and our brothers bleed."
Speaking to Praxopius, Leafiara ventures, "Someone working for you, then?"
Praxopius says, "No one in my employ did."
Leafiara dubiously says, "I see."
Claudaro asks, "Do you know who did?"
Speaking to Leafiara, Nazarr says, "It would be like him to get someone to help him willingly and without pay."
Praxopius says, "I can theorize on many potential suspects."
Lylia says, "Our brothers, and our sisters and cousins and clerks and bakers, our town, has been ruined by krolvin raiders for too long."
Praxopius says, "He had no short list of people he angered."
Speaking to Praxopius, Ysharra says, "But you are forcing Thrayzar to act out his part."
Speaking bemusedly to Praxopius, Cruxophim concedes, "True enough."
Claudaro says, "So...no then, as far as knowing for a fact."
Praxopius says, "Many standing here."
Roblar deeply says, "Shall eagerly wait to burn der isle down."
Speaking mildly to Praxopius, Cruxophim agrees, "Indeed."
Praxopius asks, "Does it change anything, if Thrayzar was easier to convert than most?"
Praxopius peers quizzically at Ysharra.
Speaking teasingly to Roblar, Cruxophim scolds, "Down boy."
Nazarr says, "I see no reason why we cannot fight the Krolvin without being Praxopius's agents of vengeance."
Leafiara coldly says, "No."
Lylia indifferently says, "Malluch's eyes are of no concern. Let him see through Jastev's if he loves the Arkati so much. He was given his life. He was not promised his sight."
Ysharra asks, "Curious what slavers and their tragedies provoke in us, eh?"
Praxopius says, "One can never be certain where the formula begins, and they end."
Roblar deeply says, "Kin even take some pieces of em to remember."
Speaking to Nazarr, Lylia says, "Do you wish to fight them in full force? I do not. I prefer them weakened."
Speaking indifferently to Lylia, Cruxophim opines, "He got what he deserved."
Lylia coldly says, "On their knees, instead of on my own, as they wish me to be."
Speaking to Lylia, Shinann says, "No concern to you because he told us about you making a deal with him for yourself and Xorus... but of concern to me.."
Zosopage says, "No ships with them pylons on them."
Speaking to Praxopius, Ysharra says, "I don't know. Until you came along, I thought death was a decent boundary for that metric."
Speaking to Shinann, Lylia says, "He offered the deal. I tried to spare more, but he would let me spare only one."
Lylia glances at Xorus.
Speaking to Praxopius, Ysharra says, "But then I watched your Rones get up over and over again."
Lylia says, "I spared the one who would do me the most good."
Xorus says, "And sparing me was in large part his undoing."
Claudaro says, "As far as allies go in this world, we could have far worse in a war against those dogs."
Speaking to Xorus, Lylia says, "I may have had that in mind too."
Speaking to Xorus, Shinann says, "No doubt."
Praxopius says, "The hour is late."
Xorus says, "Be sure to leave me some of Larsya's blood. It might be too much for an ordinary human life span to end the krolvin, but I am older than the human empire itself."
Praxopius says, "I still have much work to do. I cannot sail before we restore the girl."
Speaking pleasantly to Praxopius, Cruxophim wishes, "Do sleep well. Perhaps with one eye open."
Lylia says, "Goodnight, Cruxophim."
Praxopius asks, "Any more questions before I retire for the night?"
Kraydak says, "Cry forever, slowly die."
Roblar deeply asks, "Cannot?"
Speaking airily to Shinann, Cruxophim assures, "Oh, I wouldn't dare."
Speaking to Cruxophim, Zosopage says, "He will probably sleep better with everything out in the open now."
Speaking to Praxopius, Ysharra says, "If not for the hour..."
Roblar deeply asks, "Iz what iz in her part of what will make you walk agin?"
Speaking to Praxopius, Ysharra says, "You know I always have questions."
Speaking to Roblar, Lylia says, "A good question."
Speaking to Praxopius, Ysharra says, "But the hour spares you indeed."
Praxopius looks over at Roblar and shakes his head.
Speaking to Praxopius, Lylia asks, "I have one as well, if you will. Do you know what Grishom Stone wanted from Larsya's blood?"
Praxopius says, "I am not sure why he sought her blood."
Luathaich says, "Hm. Another good question."
Praxopius says, "Given it is anchored to something, perhaps that is what he seeks."
Speaking to Praxopius, Meureii says, "Or perhaps he already has."
Raelee says, "Thus, we trace that thread."
Lylia murmurs, "I see."
Praxopius says, "There is an elven quality to her blood."
Irar says, "Evening, all. Try not to argue each other to death."
Speaking airily to Irar, Leafiara says, "Oh, not each other."
Kraydak says, "Ohhhh."
Lylia says, "Her father's 'little Elf.'."
Praxopius says, "So I cannot say for certain whether it is the blood, of the temporal thread..."
Meureii says, "The Star calls and leads to our destiny."
Kraydak says, "An elven quality to her blood."
Takoa says, "He didn't seem particularly discerning on where the blood came from. Just that it would never be in short supply."
Praxopius says, "I cannot theorize too much. Nor do I have the time, truthfully."
Kraydak says, "CONVENIENT."
Meureii offers, "Regardless of individual blood."
Speaking to Praxopius, Ysharra says, "Maybe he wants what's on the other side."
Speaking to Meureii, Lylia says, "Perhaps so."
Ysharra says, "Good night, all."
Praxopius says, "Then we do good by robbing him of that."
Speaking quietly to Gryzzlbok, Saranja says, "We should go, before I lose my temper with the Betrayer."
Speaking to Praxopius, Meureii says, "Happily."
Praxopius glances at Stormyrain.
Raelee says, "The Wyrdeep, the Bleaklands, another realm... there are many possible logical hypotheses one can form."
Claudaro says, "Well, get the girl squared up, get what you need, can't speak for any others, but I'm game for this war against the krols, don't really care what your motives are."
Zosopage says, "Suffice it to say that what Grishom wants it for wouldn't be for any better purpose."
Roblar deeply says, "Soon da raiders be raided."
Praxopius says, "For what it is worth Captain..."
Praxopius says, "Thrayzar will be returned to you."
Praxopius nods at Stormyrain.
Speaking to Praxopius, Stormyrain murmurs, "We will meet again, soon. May your dreams be filled with your future."
Syphaer says, "They seem to have endless ships, it will be good to strike them where it hurts for once."
Clairette says, "Good, I'd love to see those axes whirling once more."
Zosopage says, "Unless he did a total 180."
Speaking to Praxopius, Leafiara says, "You better have more of those gauntlets that can raise the dead..."
Praxopius grins.
Leafiara says, "Because you just might be one cleric short on that particular journey."
Praxopius says, "No I won't be."
Praxopius says, "You will go."
Praxopius nods to Leafiara.
Leafiara smirks at Praxopius.
Praxopius says, "Because you love Wehnimer's Landing."
Leafiara simply says, "You'll have to see."
Praxopius says, "And you fight for freedom."
Leafiara sets about preparing herself to be as presentable as possible.
Speaking to Leafiara, Lylia says, "I should hope you would go. How many lives Kragnack's death would spare..."
Arianiss whispers something to Praxopius.
Raelee neutrally says, "One does not need to be a cleric to raise the dead."
Praxopius nods at Arianiss.
Speaking to Lylia, Leafiara rebuts, "You have it handled. Another Ta'Ashrim, yes? And you only needed a few ships landing there."
Praxopius says, "Goodnight."
Lylia notes, "We do not have the Three Sisters with us."
Kraydak says, "Yeah."
Praxopius wheels away.
Roblar deeply says, "Da pylons shud go on da ships."
Lylia says, "I have no sisters at all. So I shall need something else to accomplish it..."
Kraydak says, "What a joke."
Roblar deeply says, "Back on da ships."
Pietra says, "Well that was a whole lot of yammering and weirdness for one night."
Roblar deeply says, "Bombard dem on our approach."
Raelee mentions, "The most efficient path back to town is through the window."
Raelee glances at an arched rune-etched window.
Lylia says, "If anyone wishes to speak to me further, I shall be in my office."
Speaking to Roblar, Zosopage says, "I believe they all will have thier own pylons."
Arianiss exclaims, "Onwards!"
Roblar deeply says, "Krolvin do not."
Arianiss says, "There are papers to be rifled through."
Roblar deeply says, "Unless dey av spies in da Hall of Mages."
Lylia approaches the window and the faint azure runes along the glass panes suddenly flash with a brilliant cerulean light and she vanishes into thin air!
Leafiara tersely says, "Well. At least he answered."
Claudaro says, "At least we still get to kill those krol."
Zosopage says, "And he spoke truth, that's gotta say something."
Speaking to Claudaro, Leafiara says, "You do, at least. I really don't trust him not to blow us up on our return voyage."
Claudaro says, "Make for an adventure making it back then."
Zosopage says, "Just make sure you have waterwalking on. If I don't I'd sink like a stone."
>go window
You approach the window and the faint azure runes along the glass panes suddenly flash with a brilliant cerulean light and you feel your surroundings suddenly shift!
[Wehnimer's, Narrow Alleyway]
This narrow, dead-end alleyway runs from town square to the south, up to a bare wall at the north end. To the west, partially hidden behind teetering stacks of boxes, you see a weatherbeaten door with paint peeling off of it.
Obvious paths: south
