Utterly immense, the draugr's humanoid shape is comprised wholly of inky shadows that drip and pool at its intangible feet. Cruel eyes of frigid light glare from a face of sharp lines and malevolent angles. The shade's arms are lightless and devoid of all but the most rudimentary features, but are massively thick and traced with intricate lines of blazing blue radiance.

A shadow-cloaked draugr is a type of corporeal undead creature, approximately level 105-110, found in the Pits of the Dead zone of the Hinterwilds. They are enormous, powerful creatures typically wielding a two-handed greatsword with tremendous strength, but also capable of various maneuver attacks able to damage and knock players prone. They wear decaying leathers that are equivalent to AsG 7 armor (reinforced leather).

Hunting Strategies

Shadow-cloaked draugrs are able to focused multi-strike players up to five times with either their greatsword or a combination of hands, feet and shoulders. They seem to have limitless stamina and are able to multi-strike at will, preferring this to normal attacks.

Periodically, but almost always on their first attack after spawning, shadow-cloaked draugrs are able to perform an exceptionally powerful attack with their greatsword, raising their AS by approximately 80 for one strike.

They are also capable of an SMR2-based stomp attack with two components: an attempt to crush players with their foot, followed by a quaking effect that may knock players prone and induce roundtime. The quake check will occur regardless of whether the stomp succeeds or fails.

Other Information

Lore

Shadow-cloaked draugrs are undead Gigas, the race of giants who live in the Hinterwilds and its villages. The corrupted blood of Zerroth has awakened them from their eternal slumber, and they haunt the Pits of the Dead and the chambers below the Angargreft temple, driven by a mad desire to destroy any intruders who dare trespass in their sacred halls.

Non-Gemstone Inspiration

In Scandanavian mythology, draugr are undead creatures found in cairns, barrows, or other gravesites. They are animated corpses with physical bodies rather than spiritual forms such as ghosts. In Old Norse, the term 'draugr' can be any ghost or spirit inhabiting a cairn, but is usually a reanimated corpse.
