The red firebird feathers attained from skinning the firebird can be used in [[fletching]] and confer fire flares to the bolts / arrows created with it.

Firebirds share many features of [[Griffin family creatures]] including their wing buffet, screech, elemental mote attack and pick-up-and-drop maneuver:
