A shimmering fungus has got to be one of the largest fungi in the lands. Easily four feet tall, the fungi is nearly invisible against the backdrop of its surroundings thanks to its blended colors. The wide cap of the fungus exposes the large sacs on its underside, waiting to spread new spores on the wind. Light catches off the top of the cap, causing it to glitter slightly.
Hunting strategies
Some directly targeted spells will cause the fungus to create a handful of Maw Spores which act as aggressive creatures.
Shimmering Fungus may be affected by unfocused maelstrom, Cone of elements, and Ball Spells that splash damage onto it from targeting other critters.
Swinging at the fungus seems to do nothing but irritate the fungus. You don't get a message about it being a hit or a miss; a melee attack just does not appear to work.
