Kalaza was established by the Dwarven overking [[Khazi Khaza]], as the central point of tunnels built by the Dwarven Empire in -34,845, M.E.. It eventually grew into the greatest city of the dwarves. The city fell, however, under the strains of the [[Red Rot]], which was brought back to Kalaza by dwarf veterans of the [[Battle of Maelshyve]]. The city was abandoned and sealed in -15,184, M.E..
