The greater faeroth looks as though he might be a relative to a yeti, although his fur is a mottled dingy brown and carries a pungent stench. Similar to its lesser cousin, the greater faeroth stands on mighty forelimbs that lift his entire body into the air. Much more powerful hind legs dangle with sharp, filthy claws extruding. The beast stands at least seven feet tall, with a face that might look human if not for the heavy brow and deeply set eyes. Black lips curl over ivory white teeth that appear to drip some sort of vile green liquid.

Hunting strategies

Removing the arm of a faeroth will completely incapacitate the creature, making them quite an easy kill after that point. If the character has access to ambushing or limb disruption, the arm should likely be the first place to aim.

Other information

  • The greater faeroth's skin protects in a manner similar to brigandine armor.
  • Their bellow attack has the potential to reduce stance, induce roundtime, and inflict damage with an appropriate stun.
  • Faeroth walk on their arms.
  • Faeroth fangs are worth the most when the faeroth's head is not damaged.
  • Song of Luck helps against their bellow attack.

An example of a bellow attack dodged:

A greater faeroth's chest expands as he takes in a huge breath!
A greater faeroth bellows causing the air to distort, sending a shockwave at you!
The shockwave impacts, but you deftly move out of the way!

An example of a bellow attack not dodged:

A greater faeroth's chest expands as he takes in a huge breath!
A greater faeroth bellows causing the air to distort, sending a shockwave at you!
The shockwave ripples outward, buffeting you with a wall of air!
The shockwave lifts you into the air, throwing you to the ground!
The wind is knocked out of you!
Roundtime: 14 sec.
