Assess
The vapor hound is medium in size and about three feet high in its current state.

Hunting Strategies

Vapor hounds like night hounds have a breath attack that causes a cloud to form and linger in the air. Breathing the gas will cause damage over time for each round that a character remains in its vicinity. The spell Purify Air (207) will negate the effects of the cloud. Once killed, any active cloud created by a vapor hound will immediately dissipate harmlessly. Note that the Raining Caves area is also inhabited by wind witches which cast gas clouds.
