Large enough to encompass a horse in her grasp, the major spider needs no web to feed from though she uses her sticky traps well when it suits her. Agile and aggressive, this demon among spiders crouches before you, her unwinking eyes showing no emotion as she waits to attack or defend. The palps around her mouth work continuously and a thin line of digestive slime drools down her mandibles.

Hunting strategies

A major spider tries to ensnare you!
 AS: +168 vs DS: +254 with AvD: +38 + d100 roll: +47 = -1
 A clean miss.

A major spider tries to bite you!
 AS: +158 vs DS: +150 with AvD: +32 + d100 roll: +86 = +126
... and hits for 15 points of damage!
Torn muscle in your right leg!

And every once in awhile they do this.

A major spider rises on its legs, tucking its abdomen beneath itself to aim its spinneret at you!
You get caught by the webbing at an inopportune moment causing you to trip and fall! You land hard on your wrist, something snaps and waves of pain shoot up your arm!

Other information

Although they do not wear physical armor, their skin provides protection equivalent to studded leather (ASG 11). Since there is no actual armor worn the CvA value is +25.
