Hunting strategies
- Have the ability to emit lightning flares on successful melee strikes. An example of these lightning flares:
A kiramon defender charges at you! AS: +256 vs DS:X with AvD: +31 + d100 roll: +91 = X ... and hits for 6 points of damage! Thumped your chest. ** White-blue bolts of electrical energy radiate outward from the defender! ** ... 50 points of damage! Electrical shock overloads your nervous system! Quite fatal.
- On successful tongue strike attacks, a CS based poison attempt will occur every time.
- Can still stand and attack even if all four of their limbs are removed.
- Puncture resistance.
- Fire resistance.
- Contrary to popular belief, Perception does NOT play a role in searching or looting them.
An example of a kiramon defender's hamstring:
A kiramon defender darts behind you quickly and tries to hamstring you with its pincers! [Roll result: 52 (open d100: 44)] The kiramon defender's swing goes wide!
An example of a kiramon defender's lunge attack:
A kiramon defender lunges at you with its open mandibles! It clamps on to your Rather Large Weapon, wrangling and thrashing with it in its powerful jaws! ... 20 points of damage! Finger and wrist grappled, twists hand! You are knocked to the ground! You are stunned for 2 rounds!
- Kiramon have a chance to cut through webbing from Web (118). Other kiramon can pull them from the web as well.
Examples of kiramon avoiding webbing:
A kiramon defender strains at the webs which bind it. The kiramon defender slashes the webs away with its vicious mandibles! The webs dissolve from around a kiramon defender.
A kiramon defender pulls its fellow defender from some webs! The webs dissolve from around a kiramon defender.
- Similarly, kiramon can dispell the spell Calm (201) from fellow kiramon:
A kiramon defender rouses its fellow kiramon defender! The calmed look leaves a kiramon defender.
