A fiercely sculptured reptilian head curves sinuously into a rigid glaes body. A mixture of ophidian grace and rock hard volcanic glass with the impassive frigidity of both, the soul golem radiates power and malice. Standing about eight feet tall and four feet wide at the shoulder, its massive frame dominates the area. Within the chest of the golem, a pure white mist is frozen solid in the glass, pulsing with a sickly glow. As a contrast to the frozen horror of its chest, its soulstone eyes flare with a brilliant viridian light.

Hunting strategies

These creatures appear to be immune to all forms of normal damage from sorcery, health-damaging spells (like Harm and Pain), all elemental sources of damage, and all curses. Furthermore, they are puncture-resistant and cannot be kneecapped with Cheap Shots. Holy spells and holy effects (such as holy water flares, Voln-based holy damage abilities, and various cleric secondary effects) still damage them.

Other information

Soul golems have the ability to remove Lifekeep from a corpse:

A soul golem extends its glaes hand into your chest. After a brief pause, the chest piece of the golem glows slightly brighter. Your senses tingle slightly, and you almost think you hear a faint, sinister laugh.
You feel the preservation on your spirit fade.

Creature maneuver that can be blocked by a shield:

A soul golem suddenly charges you and tries to push you into a steam column!
You are unable to get out of the way as the golem's massive hands slam into you!
You fall into a steam column!
 ... 53 points of damage!
Steaming ocular fluid cooks eyeball evenly. Hors d'oeuvres anyone?

Foot slam maneuver

A soul golem lifts its huge foot up and slams it into the floor, shaking everything violently!
[SMR result: -38 (Open d100: 80)]

Twin Hammerfists maneuver

A soul golem raises its hands high, laces them together and brings them crashing down towards you!
[SMR result: -69 (Open d100: 39)]

Soul golem pound and ensnare are right/left hand attacks similar to Two Weapon Combat.

>A soul golem pounds at you with its glaes gauntleted right fist!
You dodge just in the nick of time!
A soul golem pounds at you with its glaes gauntleted left fist!
You move at the last moment to evade the attack!

Soul golem boxes feature a unique trap: the lock difficulty is unreadable and changes with each pick attempt. They do not have conventional traps.
